How To Run A Successful YouTube Channel - Duration: 10:51.

Since we launched Live On Purpose TV, I get questions sometimes about how to run

a successful YouTube channel. So, I brought in the expert. This is Nate

Woodbury, we're going to dive into that today. So Nate, you've been working with

me here at Live On Purpose TV. We've been doing this at the time of this recording

just a little over a year. -Yeah. -We started out... Do you remember how many

subscribers we had? -You had 235. -You know the exact number. I know it was

around 200. 235. You can go check to see how many subscribers we have today. It

has increased significantly. And so, I think arguably, we have a successful

YouTube channel. There's a couple of things that we've been doing here that I

thought maybe you could help to illuminate. Because you're the brains

behind this whole operation. -That's been fun. -How do we how do we create and run a

successful YouTube channel? Where would you tell people to start? -Well, the

viewers might notice that we're pretty consistent. Right from the beginning. We...

In November of last year. -2017, November. -We started launching 5

episodes per week and we really haven't skipped a beat. So it... -Right. -Takes a lot

of work to do that. But we've we've got some strategies that help us do that because

you're a busy guy. -Yeah. -You've got a lot that you're doing with your practice,

with your coaching, with being a part of the National Speakers Association, with

different charities and church and family. And yet you have a daily YouTube

channel. -And people have asked me before, Nate. "How do you find time every day to

shoot a video?" I don't. We're shooting episode 21 right

here, right now. -What time of day is it? -It's about 3:30 in the afternoon. -3:30 in

the afternoon. We started this... -Which we've got a pretty fast pace. -Yeah, we've

been doing this for a while. -Because we do this once a month. We get together

once a month and we shoot 21 episodes. That gives us an

to then send out to our editing team and they schedule it for for release 5

times a week. Monday through Friday. -And you'll notice

Paul really gives great content. It's very well prepared. So how

do we... How do we do that well? Of course, we do we do keyword research in advance

to find the questions that people are searching for online and we get a

lot of ideas from comments that you'll make below. And we take those ideasm we do

the keyword research and we create our list of the 21 episodes that we're going to

film for the you know in the coming few weeks. And then that how much time do you

take to prepare and outline? -So, I'm getting faster at it. -Okay. -It used to

take me a good 6 hours to prep one of our sets. Because I need to take all of

those titles that have come from the keyword research. And then I go into my

own experience and people that I know and things that I've learned through my

career and make an outline of the content that will actually support that

title. And that used to take me about 6 hours to prep 21 episodes.

I've whittled it down. I can get it... I can get it in about 2 hours now. -That's

awesome. I didn't know as that quick. 2 to 3 hours. Keep in mind. You know your

content. You know your content really well. -I've been practicing psychology for 25

years now. And that's longer than some of you have been on the planet. And

and you'll notice some of the topics, there's quite a variety here on the

channel. And that's not necessarily the best way to run a channel because it's a

little confusing. What is this channel about? Well, what it comes down to is that

Live On Purpose TV is about stuff that I've done through my career. So you'll

you'll see videos here about bedwetting. I don't do anything with bedwetting now

but I did a doctoral dissertation on that topic. So that information is up

here. This is the beauty of Technology, okay? That information is still here but

it's not helping anybody here if I can put it out there where you guys are, then

if you got an issue with bedwetting, you go to

my bedwetting videos, you're going to get some help. So, it's not just locked up in

my head, it's out there where it can help people. And that's why you see such a

variety. I spent 13 years doing child custody evaluations for the court. I

don't do that anymore. But I got some knowledge that can help you. So we put it

out in these videos. -So now, I want to kind of flip directions and talk about

you. If you've thought about starting your own YouTube channel, you've got

expertise up in your head, people around the world are searching for. They

just don't know that you exist, they don't know how to find you... -And it's not

helping them as long as it's locked in your own head. -So that's why we've

created this strategy and that's what we recommend that you could do as well is

find the questions that people are searching for around your area of

expertise. And you can create videos of a similar format and achieve similar

results that we've had on Live On Purpose TV. -So Nate, you mentioned

consistency. We've been doing this on a daily... Well, daily meaning 5 times a

week. -Right. -We've been doing this on a daily basis for over a year. All of our

videos are long-form videos. Meaning 10- ish minutes. Some are longer, some are a

little shorter. But you'll see that most of the videos are about that duration.

That's because it's important to grow the channel. You need to have eyeballs on

your videos for longer time. -Yeah. So, we're playing with 2 different

strategies, mainly. We've got a search strategy, that's why we do a lot of

keyword research. But we also want to impress the YouTube algorithm. You know, a

whole bunch of formulas and equations that choose which videos it's going to

suggest to other viewers. And so by having consistency, that feeds into

those equations. By having that consistency for 4 months, there's some

magic starts to happen and we've seen some spikes. There's a lot of things that

we can look at the analytics. The YouTube provides a lot of data and saying, "Ooh,

this video has really good watch time or average view duration. But we can look at

the click-through rate and think that's... We need a better thumbnail."

And so we'll tweak that and you can see it see it get better results. So, those

are really the 2 strategies that we go after on purpose is the keyword research

and to impress the algorithm so that we can get suggestion. -This all begs the

question, Nate. Why? -Yeah. -Why did this... The number one reason I already shared with

you... And I am so honest and sincere about this.

It's about getting information that's locked in here out to where it can

actually help people. And that gives me a lot of personal fulfillment. It's a

meaningful thing for me to do. It makes me feel like, "Okay. Well, my career has

been worth something." So, there's all of that." And that's probably the

driving factor. -To comment on that... I mean, some things that... I've heard some

feedback about people who you've impacted through YouTube. The people that

have been on the verge of suicide. -Yes. Or a mother on the opposite side of the

planet that was having struggle with parenting. And so, there's

some really neat amazing things that happen because of this channel. -That

lights me up. And thank you for you viewers who have shared what the impact

has been. That's really the paycheck for me. Now, it also has served to generate

leads for other aspects of my business. So, you'll notice on some of the videos, I

mentioned finallydry.info. -Mmm-hmm/ -That's a little website that I set up to

offer an e-book for bedwetting. And we're selling those pretty much every

week. For people who actually need that information. Only 10 bucks. And they can

get help from watching the video. You've heard me mention Parenting Power-Up.

com. I set that up specifically to provide additional services for those

parents who are attracted to our channel from the videos. And it gives them more

resources to be a conscious parent. -We've had a lot of activity around

parenting videos like, "How to get your kids to listen without yelling?" It's one of the

most popular videos. -Right, yeah. -And so those videos, grab a lot of

attention for people who are interested in those parenting topics and that's

where we send them over to the Parenting Power-Up, yeah. -And then more recently,

I've been focusing more on coaching coaches. And this channel has given me a

really neat resource to do that. Not only to attract people who are interested to

get into my coaching certification program. But also, I've been able to

feature some of my licensees here on the channel. Which gives them more exposure,

it gives you an introduction to another resource. So it's been really neat that

way to start to magnify the impact of the channel. Now, you've worked with a

lot of other chat house too. This isn't your only show. -Right, I manage...

-In fact, I appeared on your show recently. -Yeah. Yeah, I currently manage 9 daily

YouTube channels. -Yeah. -Which I've got a big team to

support me in doing that they do a fantastic job. Just to give you an idea. I

mean, that the real potential on YouTube is it's great from the advertising point

of view. But when you compare it to a channel that's backed by a business, the

ad revenue is really small compared to you know, what you the revenue you can

actually generate in your business when it's the lead generation tool. -Right. -You

know, we've got channels that are generating multiple 7 figures per

year from just from the leads coming from YouTube. -So, it's for their business

outside of YouTube. -Exactly. -Yeah. -I wasn't sure when we started this video what

direction we would go but I knew it would be a good conversation because

HEY THERE! First of all I wanted to say merry Christmas/happy holidays!

Hope you had a good time with your family or your friends, got some cool presents...

It's time for a new video, where I stand in front of a black screen and talk about the channel for a minute...

(...and I sound a little sick I know)

So...last channel update was in...April I think.

(Wow, that was a long time ago)

I said that the rest of Remixes of this Season would come out "relatively soon", specifically one per month

...aaaaand we saw how that turned out.

Don't get me wrong, I honestly thought that we could meet those deadlines, but a lot of things got in the way and I ended up releasing a video every 2 months

However...

This has probably been the most successful time for the channel

Almost all the new Remixes have reached 100k views!

That's insane!

So remember kids, don't rush your stuff, take your time

We're gonna leave there for a minute because we're going to talk about Remix 10.

Yeaah...Remix 10 is not complete yet.

I'd say it's about halfway done.

I mean, obviously the audio is, it's just the visual part that it's taking some time. Y'know, the textures, modding, editting...you know, probably the longest part.

I started the project right after finishing the audio in November, with hopes of releasing it this year, in December.

But, unfortunately, most of my team was very busy these last months, including me, and the holidays came, so it was impossible to release this month.

So, my new deadline is...[cue the drum roll]

Late January 2019

I know it's a big wait, but this is probably the most elaborated video in the channel yet, gonna have to take the most time to make it Perfect™.

I got something else though. I've seen a lot of requests for me to remix some songs in the comments, but you know, these videos take super long to make...

...and I don't think that every single one of these songs need to be remixed in the channel.

So I thought about taking some of these suggestions and making some live Remixes here on YT on a stream.

We could chat, I'd take some of your suggestions and you could even take a look at the remixing process if you're interested.

And who knows, maybe I'd also take some help of you guys to make these Remixes.

But you know, it's an idea for now. Let me know if you're interested in the comments and maybe it could happen.

He acts a role of a common man in this movie

Its interesting to see contrasting characters coming together

This movie is mature enough to let the audience choose which character is right and whchich is wrong

They could have easily portrayed Rajini as villain but they didnt, they let the audience choose

This movie takes lot of inspiration from French Filmaker Godard

This movie also breaks a lot of rules as like Godard movies

Generally people say it is not good to break the 4th wall but This movie breaks the fourth wall in its first scene itself

Kamal breaks the fourth wall and tell audience to go left

It suggest that this is not a normal movie

There is a coonect between first and last scene

As like kamal, In the final scene sripriya breaks the fourth wall and tell bye to audience

without a doubt, multi draw is the best one

but gems are bought with real money

but on dissidia we receive a lot of it just by playing it

i always say that dissidia is real friendly with f2p players

you don't really need to spend money on it

you can get stronger on it without spending

DFFOO not only give us a lot of resourcers but on these multi draws that i spoke

but even so, its a high tier weapon

My Plans For The Channel In 2019 & A Few Announcements!!! - Happy New Year - Duration: 12:01.

hey guys happy new year it's 2019 I cannot believe it oh wow it's 2019 we're

officially there happy new year everyone this video is to give you guys a little

bit of an update as to where the channels headed in 2019 and I'm signed

on day one with gained out this little video there's gonna explain to you

what's gonna be happening because I've always wanted to do certain things with

this channel and I've always want to do things that I've not done because I'm

afraid of what people say think new and that's always been my fear and I don't

want to be like I think I've got I think you guys have earned enough respect for

me and I got enough respect for you guys that we can I can do things that I've

been dying to do so it's all additional content the reviews are staying that's

no problem look at all the content behind me I have so much to do that's

going nowhere you like at Christmastime and earlier in maybe our November time I

started pumping out two videos a day both review videos and you guys might

subscribe account jumped and you guys seemed to really enjoy having more

content from me that's gonna continue throughout 2019 not we've just reviews

though I've got other bigger plans for this channel and certain weekly videos

that I want to put out there now I know I've made it a staple on this channel

where I do the toy hunt every single week and that's staying

I love the weekly talking on video and show you guys what's out there in the

stores but I've got a better idea and another way that I can update you as to

what's in the shops and give you guys an update on the toy industry how I'm

feeling my thoughts and feelings movies and stuff like that and it's gonna be a

weekly show I'm gonna put out every Saturdays in a video podcast style where

I can invite all the people on to talk to me and we can have a chat and I'm

also looking for a co-anchor so if anybody out there wants to get involved

please let me know and I am looking for a co-anchor for this and you know what

it's gonna be a weekly podcast it's gonna go out every single Saturday at 3

p.m. haven't got a name for yet so if anybody

wants to suggest the name in the comments below it's gonna go out every

Saturday it's gonna update you guys on what things are like in B&M what's in

home bargains right now where are the best deals

whatever in demand toy Khepera toys and all that kind of why

they got on offer and I've got good relationships would be with all these

like websites and all these suppliers and toy reviews and I get on well with

other people in the community and I want to invite them people on not just other

youtubers but you guys too might be able to call in on skype and talk to me I'd

love that so that's gonna start happening I haven't got a start date for

it's probably gonna be February but we are looking to start that ASAP so

comment below if you've got a name for it now other things I've got planned

we've got the the London toy fair 2019 that's happening in January really

excited I'm going down and I think we're gonna be checking out YouTube ad cause

you know the YouTube space London well I'm in London and we're also gonna be

staying overnight and then going to London Toy Fair the following day now

I'd like to arrange a supersorrell London meetup on the Saturday this

around me on the Monday night and so if anybody is interested let me know in the

comments or if anyone can recommend a place for the me up as well cuz I'm not

a Londoner I don't know but I'd love to a range of London me up so if anyone's

saw how and as well we've got the we've got the Disney World vlogs in March

that's gonna be a big thing this year cuz I'm gonna be checking out avatar one

Star Wars there's a lot of them gonna see what Marvel stuff they've got going

on in Disney World nowadays like merchandise wise and we're also gonna be

doing vlogs on the new Toy Story land and as well as toy hunts well some in

America and hopefully I'm gonna try and meet up with some American youtubers

vloggers toy reviews so hopefully I can saw all that kind of stuff out really

excited that's in March I've got to stop animation that I've been working on for

some time now that I've been telling you guys about a little bit here in there

and I want to definitely bring it to fruition in 2019 the first one of the

two that I want to do the first one is a stop animation which I'm calling the

Disney's Disney Guardians and it features rocket racoon Yoda

stitch and spider-ham each of them defending their own universes come

together to fight the greater evil the villain for the piece is gonna be a poor

mind as well as a bunch of other disney villains spider-man in a villains from

Marvel Star Wars it's gonna be a lot of fun and it's gonna be is comedy based

it's not meant to be taken seriously it's just a little bit of a laugh so

there'll be some skits and things thrown in man that should go out and about

twice a month so I'll be doing that as well at 2019 and there's a secondary

show that we're working on I'm working on I've been trying to work on it with a

friend now for some time and I think it's gonna be a great thing to try and

work on in 2019 to get it out to you guys it's about little green army men

you know when you're a kid and used to play with a little green plastic man

well what happens when you leave them they come to life Toy Story style right

and they're funny they think they're the biggest action heroes on the planet and

they're two inches tall and they're their little problems are our our life's

biggest problems so I'm really looking forward to doing that as well and it's

called plastic author something I'm definitely looking at making in 2019

there's a lot going on guys and I've got a lot of plans and a lot of ideas the

weekly shows are gonna be awesome so the podcast on a Saturday and then on a

Sunday we're gonna be doing I'm gonna be doing something called showcase someday

it's something that we've been going on in a couple of my groups that I'm a

member of where people show off their collections every single Sunday so I

plan on doing that but in a different way each Sunday it will be a different

theme it might be symbiotes Sunday where I show up all the symbiote characters I

have from the spider-man universe it might be bounty hunter Sunday where I

show of all the bounty hunters and either way I'll show off something from

my collection every week as a way of showcasing what I've got in my

collection because I've got so many boxes and bins full of figures now where

are there there yeah there's some bins over there there's all this behind me

there's all the display and there's this even on my desk about two bins and I've

got a bit of a side of the desk all the figures so it's gonna be great

way of showcasing them to you guys so supersorrell showcase Sunday's will be

coming out weekly every Sunday whoa that's a lot of stuff pod casts

weekly shows don't forget live streams live streams every time I get something

to unbox now going forward in 2019 basically when I get deliveries from

Kapow or ID toys or whoever I'm gonna open them alive on camera because I

think that's more fun and it's interactive and I can explain to you

guys better when their reviews are coming what I'm gonna do what my plans

are what you guys want to see from those reviews it's a more interactive way of

doing things so that's definitely happening in 2019 two more live streams

so hit that note gnarrk I speak the notification bell because that's the

only way you're gonna find out guys as well in 2019 there's something I need to

do as well for myself and my well-being I've ignored my body now for three years

trying to do this YouTube thing and trying to act I've let things go pretty

badly around me to be honest I've kind of ignore the world around me to focus

on doing this YouTube thing and put content out and I need to take

responsibility for what I've done in my body and what I've done to myself I need

to drastically lose some weight drastically I've got high blood pressure

my little my I've got a prosthetic leg as you know it's not fitting properly

I've got a colostomy as you know and I'm having trouble with that I've damaged my

body a lot over the years with my weight and I need to sort this out now I need

to do this and this isn't like a new year new me thing this is me being real

if I don't sort it I'm probably going to die so I need to sort this out I need to

fix my health problems and so that's gonna be happening as well this year

you'll probably see me losing bigger quite a bit of weight needs down he

needs them I can't I can't stand for more than five minutes I'm you know I'm

not happy so needs salt that out and that's just me being real who weight has

been lifted I've talking about that tell you that much and there's a lot going on

guys as you know as you can see I've got all some stuff happening we've got deals

left right and centre and coming into it we've got companies wanting to get

involved I'm living it right now it's a great time doing what I do and I'm

always open and honest with you guys and real with you and I'll always talk to

you open nicely that's what I've done from day one like and I don't hide the

fact that we get stuff I always tell you straight away off the

bat this has been sent to me by blah they did this for me blah just because I

want to be open and honest with you and I don't want to be one of these online

select light youtubers that like the four that push products upon an audience

and don't explain to them fully aware the guarding from if they paid for it

you know what I mean I always say to if I've paid for products or ever been sent

a product I think that's just open honest communication and I hope you guys

you see that and you don't mind the brand deals and things that we get

because it is a lot of fun to get some of these bigger figures bigger toys that

I couldn't possibly afford like we we have there where the Star Wars helmets

we had the Finney gauntlet I couldn't have bought them on my own so big thanks

to people at Hasbro they're able to send those through to us and I'm am being

real when I say things like Kapow toys haven't paid me to say this day Jen we

haven't like Kapow an idea I've got much respect for those guys and time-travel

toys as well Toys in the Attic these are all people

that I use to pre-order my figures and I love the relationship I have with them

so I wouldn't pass that over the world I'm bubbling a bit now so I'm gonna go

but guys I hope you're excited for 2019 like I am I hope you're looking forward

to all these new stuff that's gonna be happening on the channel I'm very giddy

about it make sure you follow it as an Instagram cuz a lot of stuffs gonna be

going down there as well we have YouTube stories here on YouTube some people have

been mentioning that I have stories here on YouTube and I have the community page

on YouTube but it doesn't yeah I don't have the interact ability that I want

from it Instagram does so I'm gonna be posting up on Instagram quite a lot as

well plus that's where I'm action photography lies and a lot of behind the

scenes stuff is gonna be so make sure you follow along on my insta I use no x2

the beginning of the video I've changed from a snap code the insta code so you

guys can follow on there's gonna be more day like vlog stuff style stuff I'm

gonna try and pump out as many videos as I come this year I'm gonna try and smash

those goals and see where we could take the channel in 2019 cuz it came a long

way in 2018 we went from like 9,000 to almost 19,000 in the space of like eight

nine months things just went out crazy towards the mid part of last year and I

want that to continue I want to see where we can go with this

now I'm on board for the ride I wasn't originally if you guys remember I create

this channel as a bit of fun never thought anything that happened with it

and then there's just these big comings own beast now and I love it I think it's

great but yeah we'll see what things hold this year hey guys wishing you and

so 2018 has been a roller coaster of a ride I started the year off thinking my

channel was going to be more Christian mommy content and as I went through the

year I started noticing that you all really loved my party game ideas

especially my Christmas party game my Easter one was a big hit I had a summer

one and a Valentine's Day a summer and pool noodle ones that just I started

noticing that that was what you all were coming to this channel for so um nope in

November I decided to focus more on making those party games so if you

noticed my Christmas videos I just got through filming my last Christmas videos

of 2018 which is why we still have the Christmas set up here but I had so much

fun doing those and I've always had a spirit of fun wanting fun in my family

so here's here's the truth of it all you guys is I actually struggle I can't believe

I'm gonna admit this on camera but I actually struggle with having fun

with my family and I tend to get very stressed out and I want to spend 2019

every year I'm getting ahead of myself every year I pick out a word for the

year that kind of focuses just my life and so my word this year I picked out is

play so not just fun but actual play and I want to play more with my family with

the end goal of experiencing more fun and more laughter and less stressed out

mommy and less which tends to stress out family I want us to have fun

together and I really struggled with making the Christmas party games in 2018

because I found that I wanted all the games to be perfect and I wanted them

all to be fun and then there were these little gems and little moments

throughout the filming where I really saw our family come out and laugh we had

this one game with stickers where we kept sticking stickers on each

other throughout the day and there was just so much laughter and I want more of

that I want more laughter in my life and in

my family's lives and I want to not be so serious all the time and so I think

you guys have really helped find that in me by really enjoying my party games

content of always new a party games and I've played tons of party games working

as a children's minister at various churches and those were always some of

the most fun things that I did I loved the planning that goes into them and I

love just seeing the joy on kids faces and so I want to bring that more home

and just be more joyful and bring out the laughter I'm a person who loves to

laugh I laugh a lot but I also like simple games easy games so that's what

you're gonna find on this channel and 2019 in 2019 are simple quick easy fun

family fun party games to help your family have fun together

because I want my family to have fun so I want to share that with you all hi my
