Orange cake: an easy and quick recipe.

Discover here how to easily and quickly prepare an orange cake.

This cake will have nothing to envy more elaborate recipes.

If the orange cake stands out for something, it's mainly because of its versatility.

The possibilities are varied and so there are many variants.

The orange cake is so popular that there are even recipes that use microwave rather than

oven and prepare in five minutes.

This simplicity is mainly due to its thickness, which is similar to the size of a pot of yoghurt.

This cake has other qualities as a dessert.

This dessert stays spongy for several days, When consumed cold or hot, the taste remains

delicious.

Follow your desire!

For this cake, we advise you to opt for a square or rectangular mold.

You can even make this cake in a cup, the trend being mugcake, but, of course, the amounts

of each ingredient will not be those presented in this video.

In any case, the basis of this recipe will not take you more than five minutes.

In addition, this recipe can be used as a base for making other cakes . Simply replace

the flagship food, ie orange, with the ingredient of your choice.

So, if you rather want a chocolate cake , you can replace the orange with chocolate.

Orange cake: the ingredients.

1 jar of plain yoghurt (125); 3 eggs;

flour (measure: 3 jars of yoghurt); sugar (measure: 2 jars of yoghurt);

1 big orange; olive oil (measure: 1 jar of yoghurt);

1 sachet of yeast powder; butter to butter the mold or parchment paper;

Depending on the intensity of the desired taste, use more or less strong oil.

The amount of oil will depend on your tastes.

Orange cake: the preparation.

At first, pour the yoghurt pot into a container.

As for the yoghurt pot, it will serve as a universal unit of measure for the other ingredients

of this recipe.

Then preheat your oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about ten minutes.

Grate the skin of the orange until only the white part remains.

Then peel the orange completely and crush the orange quarters that you put in another

container.

In this new container, add the sugar, eggs, yoghurt, orange zest and olive oil.

Beat the mixture with an electric mixer until you have a perfectly smooth dough.

Now is the time to add flour and yeast.

Remember to pass these ingredients through the sieve before incorporating them into the

mix.

Let's go on…

Butter your mold, either with your fingers or with a brush.

You can also put baking paper instead of butter.

Thanks to this step, your cake will not stick to the mold.

Pour the batter into the mold.

Bake the mold at 180 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes.

If you have opted for an irregular mold, keep in mind that it takes five to ten minutes

longer to cook.

It's time to test the toothpick to see if the cake is ready.

Push a toothpick into the cake.

If the toothpick comes out without a trace of cake, your orange cake is ready.

If this is not the case, wait a little longer.

When your cake is ready, take it out of the oven.

Let it cool a little before removing it from the mold so that it does not collapse.

All you have to do is serve your cake and enjoy it!

Orange cake: the presentation.

To present your delicious orange cake as part of a visit for example, you can decorate it

with candied oranges.

ingredients.

1 or 2 oranges; 4 glasses of water (1 liter);

5 cups of sugar (1 kg);

Preparation.

Put the sugar in the liter of water.

Plunge the oranges into the mixture you have just prepared.

If you want to caramelize the oranges, bake them for five minutes before taking out your

cake from the oven.

As you can see, this recipe is very simple to prepare.

Remember that it can be used as a base to prepare other recipes whose flagship ingredient

is another ingredient than orange.

If you opt for lemon, you will have to follow the same steps.

You will then need to peel and grate the lemon.

If you opt for chocolate , simply heat it a little in a bain-marie so that it becomes

easier to mix with the mixture.

The honey is also a great option!

State Divinities | An Introduction To Greek & Roman Mythology - Duration: 3:11.

the larger community of the state also had its lorries and Pineda's in fact the

public cult was a development of the family cult again the spirits performed

the function of protection but the bulk of public Roman worship was directed

toward four high gods Jupiter Janus Mars and Uranus and one high goddess

Vesta unlike the Greek deities these divinities were abstractions without

human shape Jupiter was the chief High God the God of light and the sky who in

time became the guardian of the city in the state

Mars was both God of Agriculture and God of War he thus performed the two central

duties of every Roman citizen farming and fighting weariness was also a War

God thought to be the deified Romulus mythological founder of Rome Janus was a

uniquely Roman God in that he had no counterpart in any other mythology he

was the two-faced god of doorways public and private Janus had been one of the

numa now the God of good beginnings the month named after him was of course

January the beginning of the new year

the goddess Vesta was the goddess of the heart

at first she was worshipped only in the home where she shared the honored

position of the law and the pen eighties

but Vesta eventually became the object of a public cult as well her round

temple contained a sacred fire tended by up to six maidens known as the Vestal

Virgins whose Duty it was to see that the fire never went out there were many

other Roman gods and goddesses apart from these high divinities for instance

there was Saturn an ancient agricultural deity

was supposed to have been king of Italy during a Golden Age in memory of this

Golden Age the great Roman festival of the Saturnalia was held every winter

this was a seven-day period of feasting and gift-giving schools were closed

Commerce was suspended slaves and masters ate at the same table the

Saturnalia was only one of many religious festivals of ancient Rome the

state religious calendar was based on agriculture with the rites of the gods

and goddesses intertwined with the annual farming cycle other ancient Roman

deities included Juno Vulcan and Minerva to mention just a few

apart from their names and certain religious rites honoring them we know

little about them for unlike the Greeks the Romans did not create myths about

their gods and goddesses

Am I saved? An Orthodox perspective (Fr. Arsenie Papacioc) - Duration: 1:11.

He asked me if I will be saved.

I answered immediately: "No, Father! It is easy to say I will be saved... but I will not be easily saved."

Why? The condition for me to be saved is that the grace of God comes...

And grace comes only if someone is humble... Am I humble?

Can I say that I am a humble person?

Because one never knows that he or she is humble... if you see yourself humble than you are not...

To stay always in your place... to never give up...

It is possible, it is possible... if we are in this continuous feeling of God's presence...

Of course, Canon 113 of the Council of Carthage (A.D. 419) says:

"the one who says that he can even without grace to fulfill the divine commandments, let him be anathema".

You see, this is the first thing we have to do: to always be in a continuous relationship with God...

Five teenage girls killed and man hurt in fire at an Escape Room game site - News Live - Duration: 1:25.

Five teenage girls have been killed and one man has been injured in a horror blaze that broke out at an Escape Room game location in northern Poland.

The country's interior minister Joachim Brudzinski said the victims were all 15-year-old girls.

A police spokeswoman in the city of Koszalin, Monika Kosiec, said the victims were probably celebrating one of their birthdays when the tragedy occurred.

A 25-year-old man has been taken to hospital with burns and could not be immediately questioned by investigators.

Ms Kosiec said the bodies were found after firefighters put out a fire that broke out at the location.

"All the dead are women. One man with severe burns was taken to an intensive care unit," fire spokesman Tomasz Kubiak told AFP.

Mr Kubiak said he did not know what started the blaze, which broke out around 5pm this evening.

In an Escape Room game, the players are locked inside a room or building and must find clues that help them to leave it.

Poland has more than 1,000 Escape Room sites across the country.

Peter Crouch has raised an important point about Aaron Ramsey leaving Arsenal - Duration: 2:56.

Aaron Ramsey will leave Arsenal in the summer after over a decade in north London

The Welshman arrived in the capital from Cardiff back in 2008 after rejecting a move to Manchester United at the last minute

Since then, Ramsey has overcome a serious leg-break at Stoke to become one of Arsenal's most important players

The 27-year-old has scored the winner in two FA Cup finals and is the highest scoring midfielder in the Gunners' illustrious history

So why are they letting such a great player leave during his peak years? It's certainly a baffling one

Arsenal are not willing to match his lofty wage demands, while Unai Emery doesn't seem to have too much faith in the enigmatic midfielder

But how do Arsenal go about replacing him? Well, according to Peter Crouch, it's going to cost the club an arm and a leg, with the Gunners already lacking in funds for transfers

Writing in his Daily Mail column, Crouch said: "Arsenal, clearly, have made their minds up, but they also made a rod for their own back when agreeing to give Mesut Ozil such a huge new contract 12 months ago

"That is the benchmark wage and every player in the dressing room will know how to push their own negotiations

"It will be Arsenal's loss when Ramsey goes because it will cost them a fortune in terms of a transfer fee and wages to find someone of comparable ability

"He, however, will look at it as a great opportunity and a new start will give him a new lease of life

"  In the current transfer market, Ramsey's value - if he were tied down to a contract - would be way over the £50m mark

That's pretty much what Arsenal will have to spend and it may be even more if they want to bring in someone younger

For Ramsey, he's getting the chance of a lifetime in playing with Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus

Arsenal really do look like the losers in this scenario.

Asparagus Recipe for a tasty Curry - Duration: 6:16.

Chef buck here and today I'm gonna cook up an asparagus curry now I

get a bunch of asparagus here and I've already washed it and it's thin you know

I like using slender stalks of asparagus you know cuz the big you know sometimes

you go to the store and you know they're like the size of a nickel you know when

that's too big because they get very woody so I like them nice and thin and

you see there's still a lot of moisture in them you know sometimes you'll pick

up asparagus and they'll be very wrinkly and look like your grandma's fingers or

even my fingers you don't know that I'm getting up in years but you know you

don't want to Rican you want to slender as thin as you can get and you know we

want the tips to be you know sometimes the tips will get black and very muddy

looking you know they've been wet and they've been sitting around for too long

and the ends you know they darken up and get soggy you don't want them like that

there so get some nice green asparagus that's that has a high water content so

it's so it's not all wrinkly and then you just take me get near the bottom of

it and just boom snap it you know and then where it snaps off that would be

where it's the most tender from here on up and then the bottom part you know you

can uh you can build a Lincoln Log house with that I don't care what you do with

it boom and it's not going to my dish so

I'm just gonna snap off the ends of my asparagus so now I've snapped off the

ends of my asparagus and I'm gonna go ahead and cut it into some smaller

pieces now I'm gonna cut off the spears first so I'm gonna have some longer ends

right here but I want to leave the spears intact those are already the

tenderest part of the asparagus and they'll fall apart more easily in the

skillet and then the stems I will put into slightly smaller pieces so now our

asparagus is ready and now we'll go ahead and cook up our dish all right so

I got my skillet on medium heat and I'm gonna throw in a little bit of oil I'm

using coconut oil boom but use whatever kind of oil you like and for this recipe

I'm going to use a pre-mixed curry a lot of times I'll make a curry dish you know

I'll throw in a bunch of coriander and chili powder and turmeric and

thing and then folks will say you didn't put any curry in there but curry is just

a combination of spices you know so this is just already a pre-mixed combinations

and spices but I've got this one right here this is a milder pur you can see

it's a different color but I like to keep you know I like to make my own

courage you know throw the individual ingredients in there but if you're going

to use premix curries you know have a number of different mixtures around

because you don't want to use the same curry spice in all your dishes because

then all your dishes will kind of taste the same well we got our oil nice and

hot so I'm gonna go ahead and throw in some fennel seeds quite a few fennel

seeds you know I like a lot of seeds what I'm doing Indian cooking I got some

cumin seeds right here and I throw in a lot of those boom stir that around get

that in the oil and it's just start cooking right away and sizzling right

away but you don't want it too hot I'm gonna throw in some garlic I probably

got about half a glow right there but dude garlic to taste all this is to

taste I got some minced up ginger some seeds ginger and garlic that's how a lot

of Indian dishes start and using seeds really gives it a very authentic Indian

flavor I'm gonna throw about a half an onion in there and I'm gonna let this

stuff cook up for about 2 minutes you know soften up get a little bit of

color on it all right so this has been going for a couple of minutes I'm gonna

go ahead and add some spices and here got my curry and boom so I got about a

tablespoon and a half but you know you can definitely use more or less and

sometimes I'll put the jalapeno pepper in here or any kind of hot pepper I'll

just chop that up and put it in here now I'm going to add my tomato and I like to

use fresh tomato for this dish so I don't want to use canned tomatoes and

have that canned tomato taste like I love using canned tomatoes in Indian

dishes but usually it's an Indian dish that I'm gonna cook for a while since

I'm not cooking this dish it long at all using some cherry tomatoes just got them

sliced in half you know stirred up really well

and I'm going to go ahead and throw some salt in here now that I got my tomatoes

in here just soften to taste we're just gonna let this do them for

just a couple more minutes you know start to soften those Tomatoes up and

then I'm going to add a little bit of water in here before I put my spirit

again not a whole lot just about a cup

so then we let our water come up to a boil you know a nice little Bowl and

then I'm gonna reduce the heat back down to medium after I've got it bubbling and

now I'm gonna add in my asparagus ready boom go ahead and stir your asparagus in

here so now we just want our asparagus to a soften up and get to the texture

that you like it you know like I said I don't like mine overcooked and I'm only

gonna cook my asparagus I'm only gonna cook this for about three or four

minutes cuz I don't want it to be overly soggy you know I don't want a big old

soggy asparagus mess you know I wanted to have a nice texture it's gonna be

very fresh all righty it's been going for about three minutes so I'm almost

there you travel on any longer pieces here it's getting very close gonna give

it one more minute been going for almost four minutes you know it's still got a

lot of texture it's gonna have so much flavor you know because all that ginger

Roman Adoption Of Greek Myths | An Introduction To Greek & Roman Mythology - Duration: 4:15.

the Romans were not shy to adopt the Greek myths of similar divinities and

make them their own this adoption began on a small scale as early as the 6th

century BC when the Etruscan kings reigned in Rome bringing with them Greek

influences but it was during the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC when Rome conquered

Greece that the adoption of Greek myths became complete at the same time the

Roman gods and goddesses changed their nature in identifying with their Greek

counterparts the divinities took on human shape they were no longer

abstractions Jupiter became equated with Zeus the Greek god of the sky the Roman

goddess Juno was identified with the Greek Kira

and because in Greek mythology hero was the wife of Zeus Juno now became the

wife of Jupiter Diana a huntress goddess of Rome became equated with the Greek

Huntress Artemis and Vesta Roman goddess of the hearth was now said to be the

same as Hestia Greek goddess of the heart in some cases the identification

of deities was not very accurate the Roman goddess Venus who had originally

watched over the flourishing of Gardens lost her original character in her

identification with the Greek goddess of love Aphrodite the Roman Neptune a minor

God with rather ill-defined duties now inherited the glories of the splendid

Greek god of the Seas poseidon all of the gods and goddesses of greece were

eventually introduced into the roman religion some reinforcing and magnifying

the earlier divinities of Rome and others like Apollo bringing along

completely new cults

not only the gods but also the glories of Greece were assimilated as well

because Greek culture was so heavily influenced by the heroic epics of Homer

Rome found it necessary to find its own place in the heroic past it was the

Roman poet Virgil writing during the 1st century BC who carved Rome's place in

the heroic age in his important epic poem the Aeneid Virgil expressed Rome's

relationship to the ancient culture depicted in Homer's Iliad and Odyssey

but since Virgil didn't wish to consider the Romans in any way descendants of the

Greeks who made Concord he looked to Greece's enemy the Trojans for ancestry

in Virgil's Aeneid the Trojan hero Aeneas survives the sack of Troy he

wanders with a band of Trojans in search of a new fatherland finally Aeneas

reaches Italy and lands on a coast of leash ium there he marries Lavinia a

local princess and settles in Latian where he and his followers will

henceforth be known as Latins the forefathers of the Roman state Virgil's

Aeneid was not an original conception of Rome's relationship to Troy but his work

was the most famous portrayal a true work of genius and Rome's major

contribution to mythology in showing the glory and destiny of Rome the Aeneid

fulfilled a need of the Roman people and became their sacred literature just as

the Iliad and the Odyssey had been to the Greeks certainly the Aeneid was

prophetical in its words but Rome tis thine alone with awful sway to rule

mankind and make the world obey
