We're going to talk about examples of surrendering to God. If you've ever
wondered if God can do more with your life than you can—he can. How is it we
can do some amazing and sometimes unexplainable things like heal our own
bodies by the power of our thought mother's intuition the law of attraction
can we really tap into our subconscious mind can we really create our own
realities it begs the question are we novice gods okay if you've caught a
couple of my last interviews with Tiffany Fletcher these have been
life-changing well my experience with her okay so I filmed a couple episodes
we chatted and then which added some more off-camera and as we were talking I
was like oh this is so good do you mind if I just roll and so what I'm gonna
share with you is the rest of our conversation I've been very I've been
very very open very vulnerable about where I've been on this journey and I've
had a lot of frustrations because you know I've got some blocks that I haven't
been able to quite get through I really got through them today so today's
interview is just amazing I hope you get out of it as much as I did okay so I had
to roll camera again because we were just chatting about something that is
hugely interested interesting to me see I've been on this journey for a while
you know with this startup company and it hasn't taken off the way I wanted to
may it hasn't taken off at all and I've been really discouraged by it and as we
were talking here Tiffany you you mentioned about really
and what I got out of it was how to turn your life over to God how to how to ask
him questions each day how to get those answers and then with those answers how
to have the faith that the direction you're going is right so can you just
kind of explain to me again because I want to have this recorded so I can
watch it again and again what it means to really turn it to him
okay but in his court right okay um for me in my life
the spirit is everything and God is is very much a part of it I don't do
anything in my life without praying for over at first and asking if it's the
direction that I need to go and the reason why I do that is because I feel
like we have such a limited time here on this earth and I don't want to waste my
time on anything that isn't bringing light to the world and I don't want to
waste my time on anything that is contrary to what my Heavenly Father
wants me to do because I feel like it's my part of my mission here on this earth
is to be his hands and so I need to be able to know what he wants me to do but
it doesn't work just for me it works for all of us because we're all his children
and so I was explaining to Scott that when I homeschool my children and when I
homeschool my children and they had their curriculum but every morning I
have them go to Heavenly Father and I have have them ask Heavenly Father what
it is that they need to do to complete their curriculum that day whether they
need to focus more on reading or more on math or whether they need to watch a
history documentary or even serve someone that is something that has come
up um whatever it is that God wants them to do for that day and so they had their
little journals that they keep and so when they come to me afterwards like mom
can I do this and I will say have you done everything the Holy Father asked
you to do today and then we will talk about it and if they did it then I'll
say I hope you forgot to do that go do it and the awesome thing is is that
there's no contention there's no fighting they don't say ah but mom no
because it's heavenly father that they got it from that they received that
direction from and because of that there's no argument they just go and do
and it's really truly remarkable but this is what I'm thinking this is what I
was telling Scott also in in business and this is what I do in my own business
I am a ghostwriter a speaker and a keynote speaker and an editor so those
are kind of the things that I tied together I don't do anything without
praying the Heavenly Father first because I feel that it is my
responsibility for me to reach as many people as I possibly can for him so in
doing that I need to make sure that what I'm doing is what he needs me to do
because God will magnify whatever it is and if you go to him and
say Heavenly Father is this what you want me to do is this that the name that
you wanted my business is this all of these things and you include him in that
then he blesses your business and it just it magnifies a hundredfold that's
the promise in the scriptures a hundredfold and I have seen it in my own
life in my own life I have seen a hundredfold magnification when I allow
the Savior and the spirit to be a part of it and so I go and I say - is this
what you want and when he says yes then I am absolutely confident that he will
help me and that I can move forward and I can have faith and what I'm doing
because I know without a doubt that God it has it's got his stamp of approval on
it and then I can move forward and he blows it up and he makes it amazing way
more amazing than I ever could and so and he even makes it so that I feel
confident on stage or in front of a camera which I really don't but he but
but if it's something that he needs me to do then he's got my back every time
and I can do it with ease and I can do it with the spirit and it always touches
lives I've seen it so when we include him in our efforts if we feel that we're
driven in a mission that we're here on this earth to do something more to be
someone more if we include our maker in that God can make anything possible if
we choose to trust him and hand it over to him so those are my thoughts okay but
I have to ask more questions okay because I I love it when I get an answer
and I know what to do like I have the confidence to move forward but what do
you do when you don't have a clear answer what do you do when you still
need to move forward or do something and you don't have that clear direction what
happens if you pray to know what to do today and you don't get an answer what
do you do can you help me with that okay sure this is good idea so um I
there is a couple things that that I do in that with if the answer is no or if
the answer is not yet or if the answer is I don't know what it is
I don't know what the answer is and so one thing that I will do is I will ask
God I will make a decision I Phil I said I would say okay I feel like
this is what you want me to do how my father helped me know if this is correct
and and and I will ask him specifically to do something for me too as a sign for
me to know that that's what he wants me to do because think about Bible story
okay think about I think it was Gideon who with the fleas yeah with the fleas
he's like hey do you want me to go against you you want me to go against
this army and he's like I'm not sure if this is what you want me to do so I'm
gonna put some fleece outside and if it's if it's wet in the morning and the
ground around it is dry then I will know that that's what you want me to do I see
it goes out and it's exactly how he said right but then he's like God don't be
mad at me but I just really really really want to know so I'm gonna try one
more time and tomorrow I want the fleece to be dry and not the everything around
it to be wet and so he comes back out and it was exactly how he said and so
he's like okay god I know this is what you need me to do I'm gonna go do it and
so and I could have had those opposite sorry I don't know it completely it
could have been wet dry don't quote me on it but this story is still the same
boy exactly but what do you do to like can you give me some four instances and
um yeah yeah okay so and this is just so fun about today so Scott here he met me
a few weeks ago and I must must have misplaced his card or something I'm not
exactly sure how it happened so is like Heavenly Father if I'm meant to do that
just have him reach out to me just have him reach out to me and then I'll know
that that's what you need me to do Scott reached out to me and the funny thing is
is the first email I didn't even get I still don't have it I don't know where
it went he had to reach out to me twice but I
knew okay this is what Howie father wants me to do
because he I asked him if this is what I need have him reach out to me because I
don't have his number and lo and behold there he is but there's also other
options that I do all the other things like like this is something really
simple like we all get those ideas that are like oh I should talk to so-and-so
or I should do this or I should do that and a lot of times I struggle with
courage sometimes right I think we all do so I say Heavenly Father if that
person calls me then I will tell them what you
want me to say and every single time that person calls me not even kidding
you not even kidding you so so yeah I have to have the courage to do this
right is a great idea it's so cool it's so and it's so awesome because once you
put it out there God makes it happen and if it doesn't happen then you're like
okay maybe I need to go reevaluate what it is that God needed for me and so a
lot of times you can journal it you can just be like okay you ask a question in
prayer and then just say just wait for the answer or you can go to your Bible
or you scripture do you can ask and then read until you get the answer that's
another thing that I do to get the answer that that I need um and if
sometimes the answer doesn't come then I just say Heavenly Father if this is what
you want me to do I'm going to move forward cuz this is what I feel you want
me to do and if it's not what you want me to do then stop it from happening
like don't let me follow through with it if it's not what you want me to do
because I'm moving forward and sometimes you just got to take that step into the
darkness until more light is given weird that was it my exact prayer I had
driving over here because I don't know I'm doing these episodes is like if it's
really working if it's really gonna help and I had that very same exact prayer in
my heart so that's really interesting okay so you give God tasks you give him
challenges to help you to know what to do I guess that's how you can look at it
I I asked him for help but I I feel that he is there in a few wants me to do
things in life then I can ask him questions and he can then be my hands
here and so I guess I guess that's what I do but I I ask him I don't tell him is
that it's not a cure it's just it's a heavenly father if this is what you need
me to do can you do this for me so that I can know and just like Gideon he's
like I'm happy I'm happy to let you know and sometimes I'll ask he'll be like
could you just tell me one more time I'll be like okay one more time okay
could you tell me one more time he's like Tiffany you have the answer just go
and do it and sometimes we do that sometimes we said I'll never like but
I'd still not sure cuz this is super crazy do you really want me to
this and then he's like just go into it go into it and see what happens and it
it's huge it's huge so when you put him in charge of your
life and I'm not tight I'm not saying like just set in your room and twiddle
your thumbs and wait for an answer and don't move forward and tell you
absolutely know for sure what he's need you to do but I do believe in praying
over everything and asking his blessing in what you do and asking him for
direction and what you do and then moving forward and taking action
sometimes it requires us to do so that he knows that we're really serious about
it and then he'll give us an answer and sometimes it sometimes we just have to
step out into that darkness and say okay Heavenly Father send me the light before
I go any further and then you just keep moving forward one step at a time is
that it's how everything every journey has taken one step at a time
so can you pester him too much or no which we are told in the Bible too we
read the Lord in prayer we read the Lord in prayer I am pretty sure he's up 30
like Tiffany talks to me all the time because I do I really in my life I have
to have that constant so growing up with a mom will had
multiple personalities my dad worked all the time
he was a mechanic he he was gone all the time and so it was me and my siblings I
was the second oldest of six my older sister was sick a lot and so he was the
person that I talked to I worried the Lord in prayer from a very young age
because I needed to know that I was loved I needed to know that he was there
that I wasn't alone I needed to know that that that I could move forward and
I would be okay that today was just one day in a million that I could move
forward and so there is no such thing as wearing the Lord in prayer he yearns to
talk to us think about you as a father you have kids right yeah could your kids
like yes when they're little they do wear it I'm not gonna lie right right
but as they can never dad does I see as you get older they become your
friends like I don't know about you but I have teenagers and they are such good
friends like they are my best friends and I would never be worried if they
came to talk to me about their troubles or ask for my advice or ask for my help
in something I would never be weary from that I would I would receive it with
gratitude and thanks for the opportunity okay so can you so it sounds like you
have a great relationship with God to where you get answers regularly which is
really cool that that is possible how do you know when you have an answer then
well the spirit talks to all of us in different ways right for me I just feel
I felt just a warm whoosh of love for me it's just kind of a even when my hands
are cold I could feel like just just peace you know that that is the one
thing that I don't know in these videos if you talk about the adversary but the
adversary is very much real and just like Angels of Light there's angels of
darkness and so but the one thing that they can't mimic is peace so if you feel
peace and I got that from my religious leader so if you feel peace in your
heart not so know that it's true not just from him I pray about its know it's
true but if you feel peace in your hearts it will change it will change you
and you will know okay I'm at peace with this
whether you're at peace to do not do something to like not have an answer
you're like I'm actually at peace with this to not have an answer right now or
you get an answer and you're like okay I'm at peace with this ask for that
peace and once that peace comes then you know that you're setting in the right
place you're setting in that place as a peace to help you to overcome any
hardship and get your answer okay so any questions no worries
no you're fine okay and I asking this to a friend of mine that I'm filming too
and his story is amazing he was millions of dollars in debt I
don't know if he'll be willing to share that in his story but he was really in
debt and he told me once over lunch that he got out out of it was he turned his
life over to God and I said what does that mean because I've tried doing that
before and it hasn't worked and he told he told me that it's a process he does
every single day to turn his life over to God you're nodding your head that
makes it sound like you know what he's talking about can you explain what that
means to you how you do that in your life how you practice that or just how
how can I understand that so that I can practice it and feel comfortable that my
life is going the right direction does that make sense okay
so for me he's right you have to do it every single day it's a choice that you
make to trust that God will do more with your life than you can and that that is
a huge thing but but you do that first by every morning you get up and you you
pray you ask him you show gratitude for the things that
he's given you you ask in the direction that you need to go and and a lot of
times it seems overwhelming and so what I do is I just keep a little journal and
I will just ask questions okay family father what do you need me to do today
to move forward my business and he gives me one or two points of things that I
need to do that day Heavenly Father what do I need to do with my relationships
with my husband what I need to do in my relationship with my kids what can I do
with my help today that will help benefit me and so at the end of the day
like I'm a list person and I just I just love lists and so at the end of day and
then another one is what can I do today to move forward my mission like to serve
your children and and so he gives me one or two points to do and after I'm done
with that I know that I I can do whatever else I need to do but I have
done what the Lord has asked me to do that day and that's how I turned my life
over to him is by asking him what I need to do to be his hands that day and then
moving forward in it in my business in my personal life in my homeschooling
life with my kids it's it's always holy father what do you need me to do today
and how can i how can I be your hands here and is it just any thought that
comes into your mind you write it down and you commit yep it's just the
thoughts and and I oh I just start with prayer I
secondly father to like you know just put me in a place of peace where I can
hear his spirit and then I I because I have prayed for it I am no longer
concerned about what other influences are out there that may be influencing me
in the wrong way and and I do to be honest with you I do when I say a prayer
I do ask Heavenly Father to to cast away all the negative influences so that I
can only hear his voice and so when I do that then I have perfect confidence and
knowing that whatever I get in my thoughts that's what he needs me to do
to me fluoride yeah this is hugely helpful and if you're watching this then
it means I posted it I mean I'm just I'm this is a journey for me and I'm just
taking you along I'm not somebody who knows everything and if you paid
attention to be episode you're like yeah you're right but I want you to learn
some of these things because I am trying to figure them out and I'm talking to
really smart people that have experienced this before and I so
appreciate you sharing that and how that works and I hope that there are some
nuggets in there that will help you with whatever you're going through that you
can get to that next step but I really think it comes in a strong connection
with God trusting him learning that learning what your true identity is and
and how closely connected you are to him and how much he cares about you so thank
