CHAD BOOTH: WHAT MAKES A TRAIL
t="567"HERO? WELL IT TAKES A BIT OF
t="1101"CHARITY, SOME
MILITARY VETERANS, A RUGGED TRAIL, AND A WHOLE LOT OF INCREDIBLE ACTION!
I'M CHAD BOOTH.
RIA ROSSI BOOTH: AND I'M RIA ROSSI BOOTH. TODAY ALL OF THAT COMES INTO
PLAY AS WE TAKE YOU ON AN ADVENTURE UNLIKE ANY OTHER AT THE TRAIL HERO EVENT.
IT'S A MIXTURE OF SERENE BEAUTY AND INTENSE THRILLS.
CHAD BOOTH: THEN WE'LL FOLLOW ONE GROUP OF VETERANS AS THEY SHOW US THEIR
APPRECIATION FOR OUR WESTERN TRAILS AND WHY THEY SACRIFICE SO MUCH FOR THE
REST OF US.
RIA ROSSI BOOTH: OWN THE OUTDOORS NOW WITH AYL!
(Theme Music Up)
CHAD: WHAT ARE YOU SITTING IN FRONT OF YOUR TV AND YOU HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF
THE CHILL OF AUTUMN? IT'S BEAUTIFUL WHERE WE ARE TODAY.
HI WELCOME TO AT YOUR LEISURE I'M CHAD BOOTH.
RHEA: AND I AM RHEA ROSSI BOOTH AND WE ARE IN HURRICANE UTAH AT THE TRAIL
HERO EVENT. AND IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN YOU'VE GOT TO GET HERE NEXT YEAR.
CHAD: THAT IS RIGHT. IF YOU ARE INTO OFF-ROAD THIS IS WHERE TOMORROW'S HEROES
ARE MADE TODAY. BECAUSE THEY HAVE SOME REALLY TOUGH OBSTACLES COMPETITIONS
AND RACES. IT'S HAS EXPANDED A LOT FROM LAST YEAR SO WE ARE TO SHOW YOU AROUND.
RHEA: RIGHT. IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT COMPETITION AND BIG RIGS. THIS IS ALSO ABOUT
LAND-USE THIS IS ABOUT CHARITY, THIS IS ABOUT WAR VETERANS,
AND THIS IS JUST A FANTASTIC EVENT.
CHAD: SO THERE IS LITTLE BIT OF SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. IT'S PART PARTICIPANT,
PART SPECTATOR, IT'S SPECTACULAR.
RHEA: IT REALLY IS. THIS IS AN AMAZING EVENT AND I THINK WE NEED TO GET RIGHT TO IT.
Music up
Man: trail hero is a four-day event where we have trail rides from mild to wild.
We also have theamed days that consist of special needs access where we get
people with physical and mental disabilities out on the trails.
Any Vets for active military out on the trail as well with us.
Giving them motorized access.
Lady: we have got rock racing, rock crawling, and trail braking, bounty Hill,
and then four days of trails that are guided throughout the whole entire area
of sand hollow and sand mountain, Torkerville, Laverkin, and all things
hurricane Utah. This year we added in a couple other of events. And one of
them is the beach party. It is happening on Friday. Because we are at a
state Park and BLM property right across the road everything happens within
a quarter mile of each other. So we are bringing in a slip and slide with a
water pump. We will have a bucking bull out in the water so if anyone wants
to try to stay on thing, go for it.
Man: in our sport there is a level of enviormentalism that is unparalleled
and it is not environmentalism as in exclusionism like a lot of other
groups are. We want everyone to be able to access land that's what it's
there for. It's there for us to enjoy.
Lady: trail hero is awesome because it brings the community together to
understand how important it is for us to have trails available and public lands.
Since were on the West and not the East Coast we have a lot of BLM out here and
they like to do land swaps with private property owners. That is what trail hero
is trying to do is stop a land swap and raise money and awareness of what will
happen which the entire area will get shut down if they do a land swap.
Man: the protection of motorized access on public lands is important because a
lot of these people can go for a hike they can't get on a horse they have to
have motorized access to experience the outdoors. And when you take that away
from them you're taking their legs away from them. They will never be able to
go for a 15 mile hike it's also important because you're taking that land away
from veterans.
And these are guys that fought for this land and now they can't access it.
Lady: there's tons of stuff that are going on within trail hero because we
want to keep everybody busy and engaged and understand all things rock sports.
Chad: we are having a blast here at trail hero. But if this is not for you,
they've got another one planned and it's called fury Road. Let's check it out.
Lady: so fury road is 33 miles of dirt roads sand and a Little Rock.
You can do it on a stock UTV or 33 inch tires and it's open for anyone to
come and do just need to register. The race doesn't happen on a lap, the
race happens on each of your checkpoints because we are going to make you
do something at each different checkpoint.
Man: we have classes from completely stock vehicles and UTVs all the way
up to buggies. So everyone can partake. It's an easy way and affordable way
to get out there and try to start being competitive or have fun in a
competitive atmosphere. Just go to our website and find out more.
Rhea: nothing like airing down the tires over here and sand hollow.
That's one thing you got a remember to do right?
CHAD: SURE. IF YOU'RE GOING TO COME OUT TO AN EVENT LIKE THIS YOU DO WANT TO
AIR DOWN YOUR TIRES. RECOMMENDED TIRE PRESSURE ON THE DUNES IF YOU'VE JUST
GOT BRING YOUR TIRES IS TO GET DOWN TO ABOUT 15 OR 20 POUNDS. IF YOU'VE GOT
BEAD LOCKS WHICH LOCKS YOUR TIRE ONTO THE RIM YOU CAN TAKE THEM DOWN EVEN
FURTHER MAYBE 5 TO 10 BUT YOU DON'T WANT TO DO THAT WITHOUT THEM BECAUSE YOU
MIGHT LOSE ALL THE AIR OUT OF YOUR TIRE AND THEN YOU'LL BE REALLY IN A MESS.
RHEA: YES OWIE.
CHAD: WHEN YOU ARE OUT HERE, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A WHIP LINE. IF YOU DON'T HAVE
ONE YOU CAN BUY ONE AT THE STATE PARK ENTRANCE. BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE
SOMEBODY COME OVER THE TOP OF A HILL AND NOT SEE YOU AND END UP HAVING A RIG
IN YOUR BACKSEAT. WHICH HAPPENS.
RHEA: YEAH, WE DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT THAT. ACTUALLY WE ARE GOING TO GO TO
OUR TRAVEL ADVENTURE AND STEVE HUMAN IS ACTUALLY HERE WITH US AT THE EVENT
AND HE IS GOING TO SHOW YOU
STEVEN HEUMANN: THAT'S RIGHT RIA, THERE ARE A LOT OF FUN ACTIVITIES GOING ON
HERE AT TRAIL HERO, BUT I WANT TO TAKE YOU OUTSIDE. RIGHT NOW I'M AT THE
VENDER AREA CHECKING OUT SOME OF THESE RIGS, THERE'S SO AMAZING THINGS GOING
ON, BUT I'M HEADING OUT INTO THE DUNES. THERE ARE SO MANY TRAILS OUT HERE
AND THIS AREA OF SAND HOLLOW IS SO AMAZING YOU COULD SPEND A WEEK.
I DON'T HAVE THAT MUCH TIME BUT I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU AS MUCH OF IT AS I CAN.
FOLLOW ME.
DOUG DENTON: Sand Hollow state Park is the newest park in the state park system.
We started here in 2003. Sand Hollow is one of the only places here where
you're going to have a reservoir next to sand dunes. That creates an opportunity
for not only boating but OHV as well. We have sand dunes here and there are
just tons of opportunities here at the park.
BRITTANY COZZENS: I would say it's the best place on earth. You have a lake,
you have sand dunes, you have hiking, and you have camping.
KENNETH BLACKWELDER: This is a beautiful area. I didn't expect it to be as
prosperous and the beauty of the red rocks and stuff is far beyond what I
thought it might be. We have a lot of reservoirs in Kansas and a lot of good
fishing and boating and so forth, but the surrounding scenery is a lot prettier
than what we have.
STEVEN HEUMANN: THAT CONTRASTING ENVIRONMENT OF RED AND BLUE IS THE HALLMARK
OF SAND HOLLOW, AND THE ADVENTURE IS EVERY BIT AS DIVERSE AS THE COLOR SCHEME.
THE WATER OFFERS A SPECTRUM OF THRILLS FROM THE OBVIOUS WAKEBOARDING AND
SKIING, TO THE LESS OBVIOUS SCUBA DIVING. SINCE TRAIL HERO IS ALL ABOUT
LAND ACCESS AND EXPLORATION THOUGH, I DECIDED TO HIT THE TRAIL.
AND THERE ARE A LOT OF THEM.
DOUG DENTON: I don't think people understand what Sand Mountain really has
to offer and all the different trails there. You can go up sand dunes and be
on actual sand dunes and in a few minutes be crawling up a canyon, and it's
all within a five mile stretch and so it's a great place to go and lots of
hidden places that people don't really know about.
STEVEN HEUMANN: SAND HOLLOW ALSO HAS A FULL CONCESSIONAIRE OFFERING
EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY WANT OUT HERE.
BRITTANY COZZENS: We rent wave runners, boats, side-by-sides, 4-wheelers,
kayaks, paddle boards, we have a big six-man paddle board that's 15-feet
long and five-feet wide, fits six people, paddle boats, and we also have
a full restaurant out here too, so that's another thing we offer.
STEVEN HEUMANN: WITH SAND HOLLOW RIGHT ON THE BORDER OF HURRICANE UTAH YOU
ALSO HAVE PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR LODGING AND FOOD, AS WELL AS A WORLD
CLASS GOLF COURSE IF YOU'RE SO INCLINED. PLAY A ROUND AND THEN HIT THE SAND.
IT DOESN'T GET MUCH BETTER THAN THAT, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE AN EVENT LIKE
TRAIL HERO AS YOUR ENTRY-POINT.
DOUG DENTON: You know, the great thing about Trail Hero is we have a group
of people who come out and respect what they're doing out here.
They want to come out and play and they want to come out and do their thing,
but they want to do it with the respect we appreciate. You know there's
always different things to do, different people to meet, you get two
different types of people. You get the boating side and the ATV side, and
you know, they're wonderful people and I like to meet them all.
STEVEN HEUMANN: OBVIOUSLY SAND HOLLOW IS AN AMAZING PLACE ANY TIME OF YEAR,
BUT WHEN YOU COUPLE IT WITH AN EVENT LIKE TRAIL HERO IT JUST GETS THAT MUCH
BETTER. YOU'LL WANT TO JOIN US NEXT YEAR, WE'LL BE PREVIEWING IT, AND YOU'LL
LOVE IT BECAUSE IT'S BEEN A GREAT EVENT. PART OF IT IS THAT THEY TOLD US
EARLIER THEY WERE GOING TO HAVE A WATERSLIDE ON THE BEACH, AND I'M GOING
TO TRY IT OUT RIGHT NOW FOR YOU, SO FOR AT YOUR LEISURE I'M STEVEN HEUMANN.
WE NEED TO TAKE A COMMERCIAL BREAK BUT WE'LL BE BACK WITH MORE ADVENTURE.
I DIDN'T GET VERY FAR!
(Music Up)
RICK PETERSON: WELCOME BACK TO AYL I'M RICK PETERSON AND I HAVE A VERY SPECIAL
PRODUCT REVIEW FOR YOU TODAY, IT'S CAN-AM'S FIRST EVER 50 INCH MACHINE AND
THIS UNIT JUST CAME OFF THE TRUCK A COUPLE DAYS AGO. I'M EXCITED TO SHOW IT
OFF, SO LET'S TAKE HER OUT AND SEE WHAT SHE CAN DO.
(Music Up)
Rich Weller: This is the first 50 inch maverick trail BRP has ever made.
Normally with first-time models you tend to be a little leery of those,
but after riding this a few times in the mountains this thing is just fun.
You'll find that the ride is good and it's got a great balance between the
power and the performance.
RICK: WE HIT THE ROCKS PRETTY HARD COMING UP AND I CAN'T BELIEVE IT DIDN'T
SHAKE THE FILLINGS OUT OF MY TEETH.
VERY SMOOTH RIDE BUT LOTS AND LOTS OF POWER.
THE SUSPENSION ON THIS IS EXTRAORDINARY. WITH THE GAS-CHARGED SHOCKS, AND
THE A-ARM SUSPENSION YOU'VE GOT TEN-INCHES OF GROUND CLEARANCE BUT ALSO
TEN INCHES OF TRAVEL.
THIS THING RIDES LIKE A CADILLAC RIDING OVER ROCKY TERRAIN.
NOW INSIDE IS WHERE IT GETS EXCITING.
I'VE BEEN RIDING MY WHOLE LIFE AND I'VE RIDDEN A LOT OF MACHINES,
THIS ONE MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'RE RIDING IN A MUCH LARGER MACHINE.
IT'S GOT COMFORTABLE SEATING, PADDED STEERING WHEEL AND TILT STEERING.
ANOTHER THING ABOUT THE COCKPIT IS THAT YOU HAVE BUTTONS FOR 2-WHEEL AND
4-WHEEL DRIVE AS WELL AS A SPORT MODE.
WHAT THE SHIFTING ALLOWS YOU TO DO IS WHEN YOU'RE GOING UP A HILL THERE IS
NO DELAY BETWEEN YOUR FOOT PRESSING DOWN AND THE ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
THE OTHER BUTTON ALLOWS YOU TO LOCK IN YOUR DIFFERENTIAL, AND WHEN I WAS
COMING UP THE ROCKY RIDGE ON MY RIDE I NOTICED I WASN'T GETTING THE TRACTION
I WANTED. I HIT THAT DIFFERENTIAL LOCK AND OFF I WENT.
AND THAT AMAZING SUSPENSION CARRIES OVER TO THE BACK WITH THE TT SUSPENSION,
SWAY BARS, GAS-CHARGED SHOCKS, AND THAT GREAT SUSPENSION TRANSLATES TO A
GREAT ABILITY TO HAUL.
300 POUND CAPACITY HERE IN THE BACK WITH A TWO-INCH RECEIVER HITCH.
THIS THING ONLY WEIGHS 1300 POUNDS BUT CAN TOW 1500 POUNDS.
LIKE I SAID THIS IS BRAND NEW, RIGHT OFF THE TRUCK, AND YOU NEED TO GET INTO
WELLER RECREATION IN KAMAS AND GET ONE. IT COMES IN THREE COLORS AND WELLER
WILL GET YOU TAKEN CARE OF. I'M RICK PETERSON FOR AYL. WE NEED TO TAKE A
COMMERCIAL BREAK BUT WE'LL BE back with more AYL in just a minute.
(Music Up)
RIA: WELCOME BACK TO AYL. WE'RE HERE AT TRAIL HERO AT THE LASERNUT RACE, AND
WHAT THAT IS A BUNCH OF TRICKED-OUT RIGS GOING OVER THE ROCKS AND SAND
AS FAST AS THEY CAN!
CHAD: THERE IS ONE SECRET TO SUCCESS, AND THAT SECRET IS A STUCK ACCELERATOR
PEDAL. EVEN IF THERE'S SOMEONE IN FRONT OF YOU. BUT THERE IS A LOT OF
PREPARATION AND WORK THAT GOES INTO THE LASERNUT,
AND WE WANT YOU TO LEARN ALL ABOUT IT.
(Music Up)
Cody Waggoner: the Lasernut rock race is an exhibition of top drivers with a
purse of $3 thousand which is huge. Most Ultra 4 races don't have a purse
that big. So it's brought out some big names: Randy Slawsen, Tony Pelegrino.
Rawlin: It's a short course, probably a quarter mile, uphill sand drag to a
downhill rock course. It's a tight race with a lot of guys and we'll be
bumping, and rubbing is racing. How they've set the course up is you're
looking for your line and if you can't make that line then you're just
looking for your next chance to pass.
Randall: You get in a zone where you're just looking for the next line and
it doesn't matter how difficult or easy it might be. You're always
looking for the quickest line through.
Rawlin: I enjoy the family aspect of racing. On the course it's racing,
but off the course it's a family.
Cody: You can get into it by buying a jeep. I bought a jeep when I was 18
and it was a 1971 CJ5, and I fell in love with it. I'm 41 now and off-road
has been in my blood ever since. I went form a jeep to a buggy and we did
the trail breaker yesterday going over extreme rocks. I just like progressing
and doing new things and taking the next step.
RIA: OKAY WE'RE HERE WITH RANDY SLAWSEN AND HIS CO-PILOT WHO JUST WON THE
LASERNUT RACE, THAT MAD RACE! CONGRATULATIONS!
RANDY: THANKS!
RIA: HOW WAS IT?
RANDY: WELL CODY GOT THE JUMP ON US RIGHT FROM THE GATE SO WE KEPT ON HIM AND
JUST PUSHED AND MADE SURE HE KNEW WE WERE THERE AND JUST WAITED FOR HIM TO
MAKE A MISTAKE AND SURE ENOUGH ON THE NEXT TO LAST LAP HE GOT OUT OF SHAPE
AND WE WERE ABLE TO SNEAK IN AND TAKE THE WIN.
RIA: BEAUTIFUL!
CHAD: WELL WE NEED TO GO TO OUR NEXT STORY WHICH IS ALSO TAKING PLACE HERE
AT TRIAL HERO. IT'S THE EVENT WITH OUR US VETERANS. LET'S CHECK IT OUT.
TERRY WOOD: SAND ON THE FLOOR OF YOUR RIG; A ROCKY LANDSCAPE TO CONQUER; A
BREATHTAKING VIEW OUT YOUR FRONT WINDOW. THESE ARE THE COMMUNAL EXPERIENCES
OF THE 4X4 COMMUNITY. THEY SHARE A PASSION THAT TRANSCENDS THE DIVISIONS WE
ENCOUNTER IN EVERYDAY LIFE. TODAY THIS GROUP OF EXPLORERS SHARES THAT SAME
APPRECIATION FOR AN AFTERNOON ON THE TRAIL. BUT THEY HAVE AN EVEN STRONGER
BOND AND SHARED INVESTMENT IN THEIR PROTECTION. YOU SEE, THIS GROUP FOUGHT
TO KEEP THESE LANDS FREE. SAY HELLO, TO OUR UNITED STATES MILITARY VETERANS.
DOUG NEBRISKY: Air Force, 22 years.
KENNY MACK: US Army.
KEVIN CAREY: US Army 101st Airborne.
STEVE WHITE: 28 years, United States Airforce.
JOHN BROWN: US Army, 84-87 and US Airforce, 87-98.
PAUL GOODMAN: United States Marine Corps.
MILES KIMBERLY: I served in the Army 10 years.
HEATHER MCCOULLGHY : US Army and US Airforce.
GARY CATES: US Army, National Guard.
CASEY FREY: Corporal, United States Marine Corps.
GERI HUNT: United States Marine Corps. Hoo-Rah!
MILES KIMBERLY: Today we've been on a Vet run. Rich Klein and Trail Hero have
put together a special day just for Veterans to get them out on the trails.
A lot of these jeeps are owned by Veterans. And we have some passengers who
don't have rigs and they're just riding along. But the whole idea is to just
get them out into the natural environment and let them enjoy their public
lands that they've spent so much of their lives defending.
KEVIN CAREY: The reason we're here at Trail Hero is because we got invited
last year, and after speaking with Rich Klein who is a good friend of mine...
we were able to talk with him and ask him, "How can we help to get some
Veterans out from Utah to enjoy these public lands that you're seeing
behind ya. And more importantly it's about getting combat-served and purple
heart veterans out on this trail so they can see the land they defended,
fought for, came home, and now they can enjoy. It's also to let them
understand we have an appreciation and heartfelt thanks for the soldiers
that never came back.
TERRY WOOD: WHEELERS FOR THE WOUNDED OF CALIFORNIA AND NEVADA IS AN
ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO TAKING VETERANS OUT FOR A WEEKEND OF EXPLORATION AND
DISCOVERY. THE INVITATION TO TRAIL HERO HAS GIVEN THEM THE CHANCE TO HIT NEW
TRAILS AND MEET STANDARD CIVILIANS WITH A DEEP APPRECIATION FOR THOSE WHO
SERVED IN THE MILITARY.
ART CROFTS: Well it's an honor to be around these veterans, and to have them
share some stories with us, and have them open up to other veterans.
MILES KIMBERLY: This is important to me because it brings brothers together.
Me, I really don't leave my house much. But I can come out here and play with
my brothers and sisters. They come from all over the United States, they
come from all over and we can play together and it's like we've known each
other the whole time.
GERI HUNT: I live in Las Vegas. So it's nice to get out of the city and enjoy
this great country, enjoy the great wheeling. It's also a challenge for me.
I've had some issues that have arisen because of my time in the military.
So this is kind of like a therapy for me.
TERRY WOOD: MANY OF US SEE OUR 4X4 EXCURSIONS IN A SIMILAR WAY, BUT AS
CIVILIANS WE'RE HARD-PRESSED TO UNDERSTAND THE PRESSURES AND IMPACTS THESE
COMBAT VETERANS FACE. THE SCARS THEY CARRY, BOTH PHYSICAL AND MENTAL, ARE
OFTEN BEYOND OUR FRAME OF REFERENCE.
MILES KIMBERLY: Everybody has a defining moment in their life. You talk to a
lot of vets after they've been deployed and their life is before deployment...
after deployment. For a lot of people it's "after I had kids," or "After I
got married." But for a lot of us... After getting shot at for a year, it's
kind of a defining moment. It changes the course of your life. It really does.
GERI HUNT: Sometimes, a lot of our illnesses and a lot of our challenges
are not physical. And they can't always be seen. A lot of times we know you
can't fix us. We don't want to be fixed, we just want to be heard.
We just want somebody to listen to us.
MILES KIMBERLY: We aren't broken. We're a little damaged sometimes...
excuse me...
Some of us have lost friends, you know? It's changed our lives.
You do things, you see things, that you don't understand.
You just have to do it.
And you try to come home and fit it and it doesn't work.
KEVIN CAREY: For the veterans to be able to come home and get a thanks,
and come out to do stuff like this... it's really personal to them and
all you have to do is say Hi to a veteran once, thank them for their
service and you might just change his life. So it only takes a moment of
time. And you'd be surprised what it can accomplish.
TERRY WOOD: TO OUR CURRENT SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN WHO PUT THEIR LIVES ON THE
LINE DAILY, TO OUR PAST VETERANS WHO FOUGHT TO MAKE OUR COUNTRY SO INCREDIBLE,
AND TO THE HEROES WHO LOST THEIR LIVES CREATING A SAFE PLACE
FOR OUR CHILDREN...WE HERE AT AT YOUR LEISURE SALUTE YOU, AND THANK YOU.
FROM THE TRAILHEAD, I'M TERRY WOOD.
(Music Up)
CHAD: WELCOME BACK TO AYL AT TRAIL HERO DOWN HERE AT SAND HOLLOW.
RIA: THIS IS A GREAT PLACE, HONESTLY. WHERE ELSE CAN YOU GO WHERE YOU
HAVE THESE INCREDIBLE ROCK CRAWLING ADVENTURES AND THEN THE WATER, THIS
BEAUTIFUL LAKE RIGHT HERE, GORGEOUS CAMPING, TRAIL ACCESS, I MEAN IT HAS EVERYTHING.
CHAD: YES, AND THE BEACH ACTUALLY HAS PICNIC TABLES OUT FOR YOU TOO.
WATCH OUT FOR THOSE HIDDEN TRAPS IN THE WATER. YOU CAN WALK ALONG THE
BEACH AND THE BEST THING IS THAT IT'S THE MIDDLE OF OCTOBER AND IT'S
WARM ENOUGH TO SWIM IN. IT'S PROBABLY BATH TUB TEMPERATURE.
RIA: IT IS FABULOUS.
CHAD: IF YOU'RE LAMENTING THAT YOU MISSED ALL THE ACTION HERE AT TRAIL
HERO, WORRY NOT BECAUSE IN DECEMBER TRAIL HERO HAS ANOTHER EVENT CALLED
FURY RODE. THINK MAD MAX. YOU CAN COME DOWN TO THAT AND ENJOY ALL THIS
CRAZY ACTION AND HAVE A LOT OF FUN.
RIA: YOU'VE GOT TO COME DOWN HERE. IT'S GORGEOUS AND A LOT OF FUN.
CHAD: ALRIGHT RIA, WE HAVE SOME BUSINESS TO TAKE CARE OF.
RIA: BUSINESS? OH YEAH, OUR AYL STICKER WINNER!
CHAD: LET'S FIND OUT WHO WON.
RIA ROSSI BOOTH: WE CAUGHT AN AYL STICKER ON THIS BOAT TRAILER LOADED
UP READY TO HIT THE LAKE, AND THE LICENSE NUMBER IS 087307A.
CHAD: YOU'RE THE WINNER OF A FAMILY FOUR PACK TO FAST KARTS, THE BEST
PLACE FOR YOU TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR NEED FOR SPEED.
RIA: NOW LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT NEXT WEEK'S SHOW!
STEVEN HEUMANN: WE'RE DELVING INTO AUTUMN NEXT WEEK AS WE HIT THE ROAD
LESS TRAVELED. FOLLOW ME, STEVEN HEUMANN, AS I DISCOVER A COLORFUL WORLD
OPEN TO EXPLORATION, AND TEASE WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT HERE ONCE THE SNOW
FLIES. FROM THERE WE'LL TAKE A LOOK AT THE NEWEST SNOWMOBILES AND WHY
THERE'S MORE THAN JUST MORE POWER IN THESE HIGH PERFORMANCE SLEDS.
OWN THE OUTDOORS NEXT WEEK WITH AYL.
RIA: WELL NEXT WEEK'S SHOW LOOKS GOOD.
CHAD: AND IT'S THE PERFECT WRAP-UP TO TRAIL HERO. THE HEROES HAVE BEEN
DECIDED AND IT WAS A LITTLE HARDER THIS YEAR THAN LAST BECAUSE THEY DID
EVERYTHING ON POINTS AS OPPOSED TO WHO FINISHED, BUT IT WAS AN EXCITING
WEEK. YOU'VE GOT TO COME OUT HERE.
RIA: THIS IS A GREAT FAMILY EVENT, THERE'S ALL KINDS OF KIDS OUT HERE,
THIS ISN'T JUST A GUY, TESTOSTERONE THING. THE WOMEN ARE HAVING A GREAT
TIME. I KNOW I AM.
CHAD: I DON'T KNOW, I THOUGHT YOU HAD SOME TESTOSTERONE AS YOU WHOOPED
AND HOLLERED LIKE TIM ALLEN.
RIA: IN MY DEEP VOICE? YEAH IT'S GREAT FUN AND EVERYONE CAN COME OUT HERE
AND ENJOY, FROM THE VETERANS TO EVERYONE ELSE. THE WEATHER IS GREAT, THE
SCENERY BEAUTIFUL, AND THE MACHINERY IS INCREDIBLE. YOU'VE GOT TO GET OUT
HERE SO MARK YOUR CALENDAR NEXT YEAR FOR TRAIL HERO.
CHAD: REMEMBER THERE'S ADVENTURE AROUND EVERY BEND BUT YOU NEED TO GET OUT
THERE AND CREATE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE: AT YOUR LEISURE.
