How to Plan 1 Week of Instagram Content in 20 Minutes - Duration: 5:09.

Trying to keep up with your Instagram can be tough, especially when you need to post

every day for your business. You need to take a photo, edit it, write a caption,

find the right hashtags and then remember to actually post it. Instead of

trying to do this every day and scrambling for posts, you can take twenty

minutes to plan your content for the entire week. This makes your everyday

life less stressful and it will also save you a ton of time. So we'll show you

five steps you can follow to save time with Instagram so that you can spend

more time on photos and strategy and less time on actually posting. Step one

is to find your best time to post. If you want more followers and more likes you

need to optimize your Instagram post so that more people see them. This is super

important for making sure that your posts perform well with the Instagram

algorithm. The more likes and comments you get on your Instagram post shortly

after posting it, the more people will actually see your content. So by posting

when most of your followers are active or online, that means you'll have the

best chance of getting more likes which leads to more exposure and more

followers. To find your best time to post, activate the Best Time to Post feature

on Later which will show you your top seven best times to posts per week. Once you

know your best times to post, you can create time slots so that your post will

Auto Schedule to your best times. But don't worry, you can always move these

around if you want to post at different times. Step number two: gather all of your

content. It's super annoying to constantly be sending photos back and

forth from your computer to your phone, just so you can post an Instagram and it

takes up a ton of time. Later makes it easy to keep all of your content in one

place. You can upload photos and videos from your phone or your computer and

access them at anytime on either device. Now it's time to upload all of your

content for the week into Later. After you've uploaded all of your photos

it's time to curate. Go through your branded hashtag and collect any UGC that

you want to post. I recommend going on curating sprees regularly. It's way

easier to spend a solid hour or two creeping Instagram, creeping any relevant

Instagram hashtags and doing this once a week or every month and then banking all

of your favorite content, so that it's there when you need it. You can also use

the Save Button on Instagram to easily save any photos that come up in your

feed that you love and would love to repost on your own account. Step three

is actually planning your feed. Now that you have all your brand photos and a

bunch of UGC that you love in one place, this is where your planning

begins. Open up the visual Instagram planner on Later and click on all the

photos that you want to post for the week. Since you have Auto Schedule set up

already, you can just drag and drop right on to your planner. Now it's time to plan

your feed, rearrange the photos and delete any that don't really seem to

work right now. Don't worry though, they're still in your

media library so you can get to them later. Step number four: write your captions and

research your hashtags. After you have a gorgeous Instagram feed ready to go for

the week, it's time to start in on the captions. I recommend waiting until

you're in the right zone to write captions. Make sure you're feeling

creative and inspired and then just roll through five to ten posts at once. I love

writing Instagram captions on my computer instead of my phone so I'm

going to do this on the web. But remember, you can do this on the Later mobile app

too. Write your caption and add in any emojis

using the desktop shortcut. When you're done, just save your captions and you

don't have to worry about it for the rest of the week. This is also a great

time to research hashtags for your post and add them now instead of trying to

find hashtags when you're on the go and need to post later. Last but not least,

step five is scheduling. Again, Auto Schedule is your friend here and if you set it up

to post at your best times then you don't need to spend any time actually

scheduling your posts. But if you do want to move them around, now it's the time to

look at your calendar and slot those all into the right times. When it's time for

you to post on Instagram, Later will send you a push notification. From there

you open your Later app, go through the prompts and then actually post to

Instagram. You paste your caption and you hit share. The reason we send you reminders

instead of automatically posting for you is to comply with Instagram's Terms of

Use. Apps that automatically posts for you, go against their Terms so using the

reminder system is the only way to keep your account 100% safe. And that's it, you

now know pretty much everything you need to know about how to create your own

Instagram aesthetic and how to put it all together in a marketing strategy and

Hey, hey here we are it's episode 1 of the show yep, that's what I'm calling it

Wanna know why? I'm not very good at naming things

and so I try to usually name things pretty literally like my website is my name I

Can't help it, so I'm so excited that you're here. It's episode 1. Let's get into it

Before we get into any questions or things like that

I really just want to talk a little bit about why I decided to start this show and

What I envision for it so I really decided to start the show for so many reasons

But the first is that I just became very inspired

By all the YouTube videos that I was starting to watch so

Recently I got really into watching a lot of YouTube videos outside of kind of the infopreneur

Niche and I was inspired by the way

That I felt very connected to people really quickly and so I would just binge watch like all of their content

Obsessed with you follow you on Instagram

And I was really inspired by the idea that

You could get to know somebody and connect to somebody so easily through video, and I was just really inspired by the laid-back

casual and easy aspect of a lot of those YouTube videos

And I wanted to create something a little bit more different than what I see other people working in social media or in other

info-related fields doing. I didn't want it to be like a series of how-to videos

Because I already creates so much how-to

Content on my Instagram and then on my blog and in my Facebook group and through my paid courses and things like that

and

because social media is changing so quickly and

That's pretty much where I live is on social media

And what I teach about I wanted to create something that felt more like a conversation

And less like me just talking at you

I want you don't feel like you're part of this show and you can ask questions and like

your feedback and your questions are gonna be answered and valid because there's no stupid question and

I don't want anyone to feel like they're dumb or like they don't get stuff just because

They don't know something that I know. I still have so much to learn and I love learning from you, too.

So I want you to feel like you can ask me questions anytime in the comments on Instagram

That's why I started the show

So I'm really excited to answer this question because

Instagram has been changing so much recently it just feels like there's a new change every single day

And I know it can be super super overwhelming

It's even

Overwhelming for people who work in social media because we have to adapt to those changes all the time and that can be a lot

Of work especially when you're dealing with clients who have questions about that so I know it can also be confusing if social media is

Not really your jam and you're just kind of like winging it

Or you're just doing it because you know you need to be there

And it can be overwhelming when you feel like there's changes that you can't keep up with so the question was

What are one to two pieces of specific advice or one to do things that you need to be doing that would transcend all?

Instagram changes like no matter what changes

What can you do?

That you need to keep doing and I knew the answer immediately

So my answer is this

Make the content and engage and that's super simplistic right like

What could I possibly mean by that there are so many

different ways to interpret that and the reason why I make it so simplistic is because

Every audience is different

Every business is different, and it's not a one-size-fits-all answer, but if you continue to make good content that your audience

wants

Because let's face it, Instagram is a very very visual place

There are other places in marketing that are not as visual

That can be used in different ways but on Instagram, It's very important to have images and graphics if you're using them

That are very appealing very attractive and so making good content is super important

and if you don't feel like you're there yet, that's okay because if you look at pretty much any

Successful Instagrammer's feed you'll notice if you go

Scrolling down that they change over our time. Almost every account

Looked like

Not very good at some point and then they learn and they get better and they dedicate themselves to making better content for their audience

And you can use your audience's feedback

to do that and that's why stories is so great too because we can ask questions about what our audience likes and doesn't like and

Things like that especially with the addition of polls so good Insta yes

So that's the first thing is to make good content the second thing is

engage

That is what social media is for it's to engage with your audience be able to ask them questions

And learn more about them, so while it is a good marketing tool

You can kind of tell people about what you're selling and even sometimes you can sell them directly on the platforms

Social media is really a social

Place the point is to be social with people and the more that you do that and the more that you're really

Meaningfully engaging with people the more. They'll be attracted to you, so I

Remember when I was first growing my Instagram account

The most important, I was making good content

I knew that I was doing that but the most important thing that I was doing and

the reason why my following grew so quickly was because I was able to

constantly be

Talking to people and that can be stressful if you're not really a talker if you're more of an introvert

But luckily we're behind screens on Instagram and so you can be whoever you want to be and you can

talk to whoever you want to talk to and so that's

What you need to do is to just engage with people and when I say meaningfully engage?

I mean ask people questions give people meaningful compliments

And you know none of that just I even do it sometimes, but try not to just leave emoji

comments and things that say like nice like

That's not gonna get a response and the point is

The point of engaging if you're gonna spend your time doing it is to start a meaningful conversation and say something

that will make people come to you and your

Feed and so those are the two pieces of advice that I give if you're gonna do anything on Instagram

work on making better content and

Engage people as much as you can

Okay, so I'm really excited to answer this question from Andrea

I was so excited to get someone write in and say that they wanted me to answer this question for them

And they asked what kind of monthly reporting tools

and other tools I use for Instagram so

Let's get into it so in terms of reporting tools probably my favorite one is Instagram itself

I feel like Instagram has done a really good job at

Creating their analytics so that they give us the information that we need to have and not a whole lot more so

They're pretty simple

But I think that's good for most users because you don't need a ton of analytics

You need to know how many people are clicking on your thing on your link not your thing on your link

And you need to know which photos are doing the best for you so the Instagram analytics are gold for that

They're really easy to look at you can look at you know how many comments each photo gets how much

engagement over a long period of time or a short period of time and you can kind of really easily hone in on

What your audience is liking and so I think those are probably my favorite

analytics tools there are other analytics that you can use I really like iconosquare because it'll give you a

Daily report so you can see how many followers did I gain today, and how many did I lose and you know?

What is the net on that so even if you lost 10 followers you can see oh well I gained

6 more and maybe those six more are

Better followers for you because they didn't unfollow you maybe those ones aren't gonna unfollow you and you can go in and say okay

I'm gonna engage with those six people today

Because I know that they're here and really acknowledge that they're there and then maybe they won't unfollow

So I think Iconosquare also gives really good

Analytics and another that I really love and I actually do use this to schedule my feed or plan my feed - right now

It's called preview, and it's just a really good app

The Creator is doing a really good job of continuing to better the app and things like that

They have really really good hashtag analytics, so you can create groups of

Hashtags in there, and then you can you know test them against each other and see which ones are doing better

It'll even help you find new

Hashtags that are related to ones that you're using and I really like the analytics there

and there's also something called the spy feature in preview which I really like you can look up like a

competitor or something like that and

See which kinds of hashtags they're using and see how their analytics are doing - which. I think is really cool

Don't get too hung up in it on it, but I think it's nice to know what other people are doing

Especially if they have a similar audience to you, so I like preview as well most

Instagram schedulers, also have some built-in analytics

So I know that later and planoly and plann also all have like some built-in analytics and those can be useful, too

But don't go crazy like you don't need to be on every

analytics reporting app there is like just stick to your scheduler and

Instagram analytics, I think you're good to go you don't need to be like

out-of-control looking at every analytics

App there is if you're just making sure you're paying attention to what your audience is liking the most. I think that's the most

important

metric that you can really measure so in terms of what other tools I use for Instagram I

Really don't use very many because I try to keep my Instagram workflow super simple so like I said I use preview to plan my

Feed I use a color story to edit my photos, and then I occasionally like for my stories. I make really cute

animated slides on I used spark post and iMovie to do that and

That's pretty much it. I don't use a whole ton of apps because

I don't need to oh yeah

I do sometimes use boomerang too because it's just fun and sometimes I do it outside of the stories

And I want to do a boomerang like for a feed which

I think can be super fun like makes it a little bit more and once in a while

So that's pretty much it nothing too crazy. I try to keep my workflow really simple that's about it

WHY INSTAGRAM INFLUENCERS ARE SO IMPORTANT!!! - Duration: 14:16.

Well guys welcome back to another Shopify video I know I haven't posted in

quite some time really just been focusing on certain aspects, certain

business opportunities that have come up that really taken my focus away from YouTube

but I've kind of got that straightened out now so I'm gonna try

my best to come back and try providing you guys additional content some of you

guys been reaching out to me saying you like the first few videos that I

actually provided for you but you're really looking for is how to actually

advertise your Shopify store so that's what I'm gonna show you here today a

simple approach that I do for every single store that I start this is an

approach that I take it's fairly talked about but not really a lot of people use

his approach a lot of people go directly straight to Facebook and don't really

use the power of Instagram to actually combine both to actually start making

sales so if your right now you have your Shopify store up and running you're

running advertising on Facebook but you're not really seeing the sales you

actually want to see then this video is gonna be for you if you're just getting

started and you're not running any advertisement I'm gonna save you a lot

of time and a lot of money if you decide to take this approach so let's go ahead

and jump right into it and as always guys if you like the content I'm

providing before you guys hit subscribe hit the notification drop a comment

any way that I can help you I'm gonna do my best so let's go ahead and jump right

into it so how do you advertise your Shopify store and sorry for the drawing

mind your drawing is just all over the place it's completely terrible but

listen you get it you understand what we're trying to accomplish you're here

for the real gold hunter advertise your Shopify store so the best way to

advertise your Shopify store so this is your Shopify store here okay

so now what you want to do is you need to be able to generate traffic to the

store to be able to make sales okay so how do you actually do that now

typically everybody decides to come to Facebook and you know your typical your

typical approach you run a five dollar ad you know for three days and and

hopefully you make some some money but what actually happens

when you actually do that most of the time okay and this is a lot of mistakes

that I made in the beginning as well most of the time you spend money okay on

Facebook advertisement and then guess what happened you make zero zero sales

zero sales now you've you've vested 20 you know $50 and you haven't made no so

so what happens you actually get discouraged you don't want to proceed or

on your case you may just keep going and keep losing money the reason why is

there's multiple factors in to why you may not be making sales from Facebook

and this is kind of the reason why I don't use Facebook initially to actually

go ahead and approach my actual stores so the ad that you're using could be the

issue okay it can be the actual targeting of who you're actually looking

for okay it can actually be the actual product okay or it can also be the

amount of money that you're putting into the actual ads okay so this multiple

things go into it it can be the the copy you know the image the product the

targeting there's multiple aspects that that go into into actual while your ads

not actually making the sales you want to make now listen I'm not knocking

Facebook like you need Facebook Facebook is a part of the actual scaling to be

able to grow your actual Shopify store but the only little thing different that

I do is that I actually use Instagram influencers okay Instagram influencers

to go ahead and market my product then I have the P then I have Facebook

collecting all the data on on my website so this is the way to work here's my

Shopify store right in the middle okay now the first thing that I do is I'd use

Instagram influencers okay Instagram

Instagram influencers so what I do here is that I find influencers that have a

pretty good following a typical range of thumb when

you're first starting out is anywhere from a hundred and three hundred from

fifty to one hundred and fifty thousand followers okay but the followers is not

the most important aspect of it what's important is the likes and comment okay

so a good rule of thumb for this is anywhere from two to eight percent of

their following in likes in common that's how you know it's a strong strong

Instagram account so once I found this actual account what I actually do is

I've reached out to them most of the time they'll either have their email or

you just send them up the M okay and you just you know tell them that you want

them to promote your product all right so the easy part is done so they say yes

I'm ready to promote your product this is where it gets some good and this is

why Instagram before is so good because when you're finding these accounts let's

just look at something here dog and dogs is a little broad but let's take a look

at a let's see this looks like this was like a kind of a a general page what you

want to do is you want to find actual people so let's just take a look at

Fitness a really good one because fitness all right so let's take a look

here so let's take a look at somebody here let's see here so this looks like a

personal page here so she does fitness she's into fitness so the people that

actually follow her are actual people that enjoy fitness enjoy working out so

if you have a fitness line or you're offering a fitness product then the

first thing I would do instead of going to Facebook and running advertisement

what I would do is I would come to Instagram find people like this okay you

can see here that she has her contact information center

email let her know you wanted to promote your actual product and what's gonna

happen is here you're gonna have a very targeted audience that's gonna be

looking at your product and whether you're spending fifty to a hundred two I

spent over two thousand dollars for an Instagram influence but the return on

investment is so good that you don't mind paying that amount but to get

started you can start with $50 find somebody in here like I said she has two

hundred eighty thousand followers eight thousand likes

you wanna look at the pictures six thousand lights sixteen comments you

want to take a look at the comments see if people are actually in their common

in real comments so you would reach out her and she says yes so now this is what

happens she poses and promotes the actual product that you have on her

Instagram page okay out of the two hundred and eighty-one

thousand followers you know a thousand people go to your store and click and

click now mind you these are thousand people that are interested in fitness

that are an audience that is active and engaging so it's targeted people and so

so you have the okay so here's my Shopify store again and now you have the

people coming from Instagram to your store right so they're coming to your

store and let's say you general you generate some sales from it which is

which is great okay so now in the back end you have your Facebook pixel and if

you don't know what a pixel is a Facebook pixel it's just a is line of

code that you put in your Shopify store so that attracts the people that are

coming in so when people come in and they buy Facebook is collecting that

data alright so this this is where it gets just so frickin amazing so Facebook

collects that data so typically what we call the ministry is cooking your pixel

what that means is that when you first start your Shopify store okay and and

Facebook this is your this is the full so this is the say this here would be

full and this would be empty so when you first start running your facebook ads

it's going to be empty okay you're you're faced with pickles gonna be empty

so you get traffic coming to your store and people actually buying this starts

filling up okay this start fixed books starts collecting

data they start understanding the people that are coming to your store the people

that are actually buying and then once you get it fully cooked this is like we

know we have an audience that is actually buying and you're making sales

off now now and now only now is when you actually come to actual Facebook because

now you have data of knowing the audience that's coming to your actual

store now you run your Facebook ads you have a target audience you run a

look-alike audience look-alike audience okay look all right my spelling is off

you created look-alike audience of the people that already come and now with

Facebook's gonna do is gonna go find those people just like that and guess

what if you find like people that are already buying your product and those

people are more likely to buy so guess what now the money you're investing in

Facebook it's put to better use because you already have data and then you're

gonna start making sales and that's one thing that a lot of people don't

actually tell you like don't jump into Facebook right away okay like don't just

don't don't don't jump in the facing right away go Instagram right now

Instagram influencers are completely undervalued you can get them for steals

it takes a little bit of time to do a little bit of research to find the

people don't be scared reach out reach out reach out and guess what somebody is

gonna say yes and when that person says yes and they promote it to their

community and you start seeing those sales you're gonna say thank you Anthony

because look I was taking the wrong approach or hey thank you for saving so

much time and a good thing to do is I say you find this person on Instagram

right and you're like okay but you don't want to just find one influencers you

want to have multiple because at a certain point that Instagram your floor

is gonna dry out for you and like I said if you're taking the approach of just

using Instagram to really cook and fill up your pixel for Facebook you're gonna

have a great time you gonna make plenty of sales you're gonna hit six-figure

marks and you're gonna be happy and you're gonna be

when the same thing is means teaching other people so listen okay here's a

little quick little tip you can only do this on desktop so do this on your

computer go to Instagram you find somebody now what I want to do I want to

find other like people just like this person here so let's take a look that so

I'm looking here at related pages now this is not showing me some great

recommendations let me just see here so yes so take a look this is another

fitness model she has one millionaire so this is gonna be a little bit more

pricey for you to actually advertise to but if she is doing what it is that your

product would fit so if you're selling fitness attire

you know her fitness are you doing a meal prep let's say your personal

training into meal preps you know you can have this person do a promotion for

your meal preps in there it's gonna you're gonna spend more money up front

but the game is that you're gonna see a faster return on your money okay if you

spent $50 on on Instagram if you did the research correctly and you found the

actual Instagram influencer and you're doing it right that $50 could easily

turn into a thousand two thousand dollars and in return you could just do

it again do it again do it again and remember you're filling up the

information for Facebook so that way you can go find other people just like the

people on Instagram to be able to market to so that's gonna be a fairly quick

video once again this is what you want to do we have our Shopify store here

we're gonna use Instagram first okay to generate traffic okay then the Facebook

pixel we have installed in our store it's gonna be right in the middle

intercepting everything that's coming in sales and traffic and then what we're

gonna do is that we're going to use Facebook okay to bring more people just

like the people we found out Instagram so that way your sales can go up up up

take advantage of it use these two platforms as is running a Facebook at it

and running an ad on Instagram it's not the same thing

use these influencers and Instagram is just one form of influencers you can

even go to Twitter you can even go to LinkedIn you can even go to YouTube

whats your password

today we are scanning negatives, so we can get them on instagram

and I have a F...... cheap scanner

and it does the job

so lets go

the scanner I have

is an Epson scanner

is bought in Elgiganten (cheap electronic store, Denmark)

it's a cheap scanner, I bought it for around 1500,- Dkr

and it fits my needs perfectly

when you buy a scanner

then you get some negative holders with it

one for 120 film, which I use most of the time

the other one for 35mm film

and I think this is for dias, but I don't know, I don't use it

today we will scan 120mm

we use this one

I would like to scan this one

there are two notches down here

where the negative fits under

when you work with a scanner

you will see a lot of dust on you scanner

and if you don't blow all the dust away, and clean it

then it is something you need to clean up in photoshop

and that very annoying

you can't get it all away

one like this you can buy for nothing

at your local camera store

and it does the job

i'll put this away

and...

put this in the scanner

now everything is in the scanner

so... now we go over to the computer

everything that is not analog, we going to do now

now we are going to scan

the program is use, is Epson scan

that came with the scanner

and... we will scan a B&W negative today

so we chose B&W

ermmm.....

I scan in 16 bit gray

there are 2 other options

I use 16 bit

DPI

you can go very high with

if you think about it, a digital

image is 300 ppi

then this scanner can really go high

but errrr... I use 3200

and then lets see whats on the negative

now it's done with the preview

and errrrr.... I have chosen 2 negatives

that I shot with my Texas Leica

that is

6x9

and errr... this scanner can.. errrmmm...

let's see here

it has theese options here

so it crops correctly

so I put to 6x9, because that's the size of the negative

and now it prepares

when you work theese scanners

it can be a little time consuming

but thats the charm about it

now..

I turn the negative

this is the negative I want to scan

and errrmm... you can see

it's pretty dark

what I do is...

I ... pull the levers to the edge

and it gets a little darker

and then I pull a little more here

and I do this because I wan't as much information

to work with in photoshop

as possible

the images gets more light and clear when I scan it

thats what I do

there is a little button that can be helpfull with dust

I don't know how much it actually do but

for safety I tick it

back

we take this off

and then I just push scan

and then we will se what the picture looks like

and the I open it in photoshop

now the negative is scanned

and you can just where you want to safe it

I safe it on my desktop

so there images is down here now

next step is to

open it in photoshop

because we don't have any contrast, or anything

this is a clean scan

you can see

there is still...

some work to do in a scan

this is also a giant file

but what I do is

I start

cleaning the scan

I remove all this

small dust

and all this is from the scanner

and...

it takes time

some of this can be..

that you see here

is a small damages to the negative, or that you didn't

clean the scanner good enough

there is a lot the could be the reason

that there is dust on the negative

as you see it dosn't

take that long to do

if you did the basic dusting before scanning

what you see here

I would believe is calcium

from the developer water

thats is just how it is

now I quickly cleaned it up

I scanned with all the information possible

now I give it a little more contrast

some more light

and

some more contrast again

and a litlle

notch up here

now I don't do anything else on my images

then

all we need is to get it to

instagram, so people can see our work

before I safe the images

us

on noisefilm, like

a border around the images

so I will make one in photoshop

BUM

I will make sure it's pure white

this images is a very big file, as you can see

I don't even thin my Canon 5d mrk II, could do this size images

so we need to make the images smaller

before we can post it online

what I do is to safe in sRGB

on a PC it's shift, control, alt, s

safe for web

100%

errrmmm...

it's already on what I like to safe it in

2500 x 2500

thats a nice quality for web

and I safe it to my desktop

and now...

we have the finished result

we upload to instagram

now I send it to my mail

and... upload it from my phone

and then its ready for sharing, sp people can see

what we shot on analog

now I have sent the images

to my mail

and we archive

BUM

and... then in to instagram

there is a lot of steps in this process

but what wouldn't you do for analog

on

your

site

like this.... we have the text... hashtag noisefilm

we do a palm and a camera emoji

and then we are done

there we have it

thats how easy it is

soooo... we got our

image shared

we have scanned, we have cleaned the images

and you have seen my workflow

when I scan my analog images

to digital

it can be a little time consuming

as crazy with analog

and not so much with digital, as me
