Battlefield 1's Turning Tides DLC Adds ANZACs! Or Does It? - Duration: 4:31.

Battlefield 1's Turning Tides expansion is due out for release in December, and recently,

DICE confirmed the addition of a new faction in the DLC: The British Royal Marines.

The Royal Marines played a key role in the Zeebrugge Raid, confirmed to feature in Turning

Tides.

They were also present at Gallipoli – but their role there was much smaller.

This has some players wondering why the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, or ANZACs, weren't

featured instead as a new faction.

It turns out, they are – at least in appearance.

When EA gave me early access to the new Cape Helles and Achi Baba maps, I was surprised

to see some familiar uniforms.

Anzacs are featured in Turning Tides, though they're still classified as British Forces.

The British Faction's medic class is portrayed as the quintessential Anzac soldier, complete

with slouch hat, blue tunic, and shorts.

The decision to do this for the faction's medic is hardly coincidental.

DICE already has a special weapon skin named after John Simpson Kirkpatrick in-game.

Kirkpatrick was a stretcher-barer with the Australians at Gallipoli, and was well-known

for using donkeys to evacuate wounded comrades.

He was killed at Anzac Cove in 1915.

The other kits are a mixture of gear that would have been used by both British and Anzac

forces, and include pith-style sun helmets, British service caps, and even service caps

with sun shades to protect the neck from the scorching sun in the Dardanelles.

Most soldiers are equipped with the standard British P-08 webbing as well.

Another neat detail is that DICE actually fixed the slouch hat – Battlefield 1's

multiplayer alpha featured the hat, but it was turned up on the wrong side.

Why DICE didn't just call the British Forces "Anzacs" for these two maps is unknown

to me – though it may have to do with the need to record new "Anzac" voiceovers

for characters.

Technically, the majority of Entente troops used in the campaign were British, but the

Gallipoli experience weighs much more heavily on Australia and New Zealand's cultural

identity.

The events on the beaches in the Dardanelles came at a time when the two dominions had

only recently gained some autonomy from the British Empire.

When the Invasion of Gallipoli began in February 1915, few could (or wanted) to imagine the

campaign lasting over ten months.

It was supposed to be a quick punch to knock the Ottoman Empire out of the war.

Instead, it grew to a bitter stalemate.

By the time the Entente forces pulled out of the peninsula, the campaign claimed over

a quarter million casualties on each side.

Around 50-thousand Australians and 15-thousand New Zealanders fought in the Gallipoli campaign.

They faced attrition warfare, disease, and other horrendous conditions – yet they stubbornly

persisted until withdrawn in January 1916.

For most familiar with World War I, it's impossible to mention Gallipoli without thinking

of ANZAC forces.

It was the largest amphibious operation in the history of the world at the time.

Undoubtedly many players will be pleased to see ANZACs represented in Turning Tides, but

just as many will be miffed by the fact they're still referred to as "British Forces."

Of course, all of what you're seeing in game here is in early development – and

DICE still has time to make some changes.

Whether or not they do, likely depends on you.

China India in China are basically Russia strategic partners today India

and China are two most populous countries and they are counted among

fastest-growing major economies in the world both countries annually carry

billion-dollar trade with each other in fact China is India's largest trading

partner but their relation deteriorate from time to time due to a number of

military standoff and border skirmish despite long-standing border disputes

both maintains very close relation with Russia Russia's relation with China

dramatically improved since the collapse of Soviet Union they both are part of

United Nations Security Council BRICS and g20 their relations are based on

economic and geopolitical interest today they both might have close relations but

these relations have never been same as India's relations with Russia relation

between Russia and China kept on changing whenever they were shift of

power in the region if we go back to the Soviet era relation between these two

countries were complete opposite despite of being world's largest communist state

at that time when PRC was established Soviets were

among first to approach and form close ties with the Chinese initially their

relations were very good but later due to ideological difference between Nikita

Khrushchev and Mao Zedong and then due to border

disputes their relations severely deteriorated and after sino-soviet split

Chinese developed relation with the Americans during theanine Men Square

protests in 1989 China forcefully suppressed peaceful political protests

human rights violation during this suppression invited number of economic

sanctions against China by the United States and Western world which also

includes arm embargo when it stopped receiving support from the Western world

China switched back to the Soviet successor Russia in the same way when

Russia received sanctions from European Union and United States for annexing

Crimea it turned toward China for economic support this shows how dynamic

core Russia in China Foreign Relations from time to time but this is not the

case with India India's relation with Russia

traditionally have been strong and they are continue to follow close relation

with the Russians since the relationship were first established with the Soviet

Union during Soviet era Soviets were the main suppliers of arms

and economically supported India until it's dissolution and after collapse of

Soviet Union Russia inherited these close ties there after this relations

got transformed into strategic partnership even after collapse of

Soviet Union Russia continued to be main supplier of arms now both countries are

collaborating in defense space civil nuclear Science and Technology and many

more

even China and Russia share extensive cooperation in defense and many other

fields but their relations are not emotionally invested one like between

India and Russia today Russia and China are closed only because of strong

opposition from the Western world continues embargoes brought these two

countries close to each other otherwise situation would have been different if

they both had no disputes with the West both Russia and China don't want United

States to expand its influence in the region next to them today China is

concerned about United States influence in Gulf region

India's dominance in the Indian Ocean region and South China Sea disputes from

where China 70% trade passes through sea route their four hands for now for oil

and other raw materials it relies on Russia there might be a problem between

India and China but this will not last as soon as border disputes comes to an

end even though India had made strategic partnership with the United States but

still it won't affect India's relations with Russia because India basically is a

neutral country during Cold War it never allied with the West nor with

the Eastern Bloc in fact it was one of the leading members of non-alignment

movement as India is cosying up with the United States Russia recently has two

cultivated military links with the Pakistan this is a good move for

Pakistan's foreign policy but however Russians made it clear its relation with

Pakistan won't come at expense of their relation with the India Indian US

relation will continue but it will not always remain same as today's relations

once India's border disputes with China and Pakistan get resolved

in the same way China and Russia's relation will continue but it won't

always remain same as today's relations once US influence in Middle East Korean

Tensions between the rogue regime and Washington have almost reached boiling point after a series of successful missile tests and the detonation of what was claimed to be a hydrogen bomb on September 3.

And now the hermit kingdom has issued a warning to the rest of the world, telling other countries they would only be safe from retaliation if they decided not to join the USA and Donald Trump in military action.

The shocking caution was discovered in a copy of North Korean Deputy UN Ambassador Kim In Ryong's prepared remarks for a discussion on nuclear weapons by a UN General Assembly committee. .

Although Kim did not read that section out loud, the notes made for terrifying reading - threatening the globe to imply with their illegal regime.

The notes read: "As long as one does not take part in the US military actions against the DPRK (), we have no intention to use or threaten to use nuclear weapons against any other country.

"The entire US mainland is within our firing range and if the US dares to invade our sacred territory even an inch it will not escape our severe punishment in any part of the globe." The terrifying warning comes after the UN Security Council unanimously ratcheted up sanctions on North Korea over its nuclear and ballistic missile programs since 2006.

However Kim In Ryong warned the regime will never scale back its nuclear arsenal while it perceives the US to be a continued threat.

He said: "Unless the hostile policy and the nuclear threat of the US is thoroughly eradicated, we will never put our nuclear weapons and ballistic rockets on the negotiation table under any circumstance." Donald Trump is due to travel to Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, the Philippines and Hawaii in the coming weeks amid rising tensions over North Koreas nuclear and missile programs.

Mr Trump will call on the international community to join together in maximising pressure on North Korea, the White House said in a statement, and will meet family members of Japanese citizens who have been abducted by North Korea.

During his visit, Trump will also reiterate his commitment to US alliances and partnerships amid the rising threats of World War 3.

The UN warning today comes as North Korean officials rejected a proposal to hold direct talks with their South Korean counterparts in St Petersburg, the RIA news agency reported on Monday.
