Firefighter Rescues Pup But Can'T Stand Leaving Him Behind, So He Saves His Life Once
More
The young pit bull was discovered by a firefighter tied up in the rain.
The puppy was sick and there was no one around to claim her, no one making sure she was safe.
The dog was left alone outside in the harsh elements.
The dog's rescuer was a firefighter named Mike Thawley from Fire Station 14 in Sacramento,
California.
Mike cleaned her up and took her to Front Street Animal Shelter for some much needed
medical attention.
The great staff at this shelter began treating her mange and wrapped her in warm clothing
to protect her skin.
They named the pup "Chunkie."
There was no doubt that Chunkie was grateful to be rescued from neglect and abuse, but
the shelter workers noticed that she was still sad.
When Mike Thawley, Chunkie's hero, came back to visit, their reunion was absolutely
incredible.
Chunkie came alive and showed Mike the kind of love he deserved as the man who saved her
life.
Now Mike is speaking to his family about becoming a foster family for Chunkie.
Soon we hope that he will be taking this precious pup to his home so the two can deepen their
already loving relationship.
Share this story if you are grateful for local heroes like Mike Thawley and if you care about
neglected pups like Chunkie.

House-poor Lee Min-ki finds house-hunting Jung So-min in Because This Life Is Our First - Duration: 6:59.
House-poor Lee Min-ki finds house-hunting Jung So-min in Because This Life Is Our First
House-poor Lee Min-ki finds house-hunting Jung So-min in Because This Life Is Our First.
Oh man, these teasers are literally the story of my life right now.
Character teasers have just been released for tvNs upcoming cohabitation drama Because This Life Is Our First, starring Jung So-min (Father Is Strange) and Lee Min-ki (Shoot Me in the Heart), playing two millennials struggling to find their own space amidst the rising costs of urban living.
In the first teaser, Jung So-min goes on the search for an apartment, and she starts out pointing to a high-rise building in a nice neighborhood and gasps at the exorbitant amount.
Next she goes to a humbler neighborhood, but its still too much above her price range, so she picks a house waaay up in the mountains, but is told that its tiny and has no access to public transportation.
The narrator mockingly says that even a dog house costs 200,000 won these days, and she sighs despondently that her house doesnt exist in this lifetime.
She trudges around until a house rent flyer lands at her feet, and she looks up to see a man in a trench coat walking toward her.
The second teaser features Lee Min-ki as he introduces himself and his house.
He confidently begins by saying, Becoming a house owner in this lifetime—even though the start was humble… But then a bank teller interrupts him, Sir, you still have 10 years until you own the living room, and the chyron above his head says that he so far only owns the entryway.
Then he tries to enjoy coffee in his kitchen, but more bank tellers appear reminding him that itll be 15 years until he owns the kitchen.
He tries to relax in front of his TV, and again bank tellers crowd around him and one whispers the reminder: 10 more years.
The thought of his ever-present mortgage weighs on his mind, when suddenly a light bulb goes off.
He realizes that if he rents out the small front room, hell be able to pay back the bank in 13 years instead of 30.
He quickly rushes out the door in a trench coat with rent flyers in hand.
As hes pasting up flyers, one falls at Jung So-mins feet, and he smiles as he walks up to her.
I completely understand their struggles, and it also conveniently provides a good motivator for them to become roommates.
I already want to know how their story plays out, partially because I want to see Lee Min-ki and Jung So-mins cute romantic hijinks, but also because Im hoping that the drama will share a relatable perspective on housing and the struggles that we all face with it.
tvNs Monday-Tuesday drama Because This Life Is Our First will begin airing on October 9.

El Chapo's Cash Won't Be Used On Trump's Wall So Look Who Showed Up With $21 Bil For It Overnight - Duration: 24:43.
El Chapo's Cash Won't Be
Used On Trump's Wall So Look Who Showed Up With $21 Bil For It Overnight
President Donald Trump was recently presented with an incredible surprise of who could be
paying for one of his most important and expensive campaign promises when Texas Senator Ted Cruz
proposed a bill to use $14 billion seized from notorious drug lord Joaquin 'El Chapo'
Guzman.
The ingenious and perfectly ironic funding source for this important safety feature was
met with as many road blocks as the idea for the wall itself.
As quickly as that idea was shot down, a surprise financier showed up overnight with the approximately
$21 billion needed to foot the bill and you won't believe where it came from.
The only thing that's been holding America's safety and security back is the ability to
fund the 40-foot tall wall that's expected to stretch approximately 1,000 miles along
the U.S. – Mexico border.
Although the lengthy construction process is already underway, it could be finished
much quicker than originally thought after having solved one of the biggest challenges
it has faced to date.
"Building 'a big, beautiful wall' on the Southern border was Trump's signature
promise during his campaign, winning him support from advocates for hard-line immigration reform,"
Politifact reported.
Original estimates for the cost of this project came in at $12 to $15 billion, however, Bernstein
Research, who calculates total building cost believes it could actually come in somewhere
around $15 billion to $25 billion.
The Department of Homeland Security agrees, estimating a specific $21.6 billion price
tag for this massive project, according to Politifact.
While that total is in excess of the $14 billion taken from El Chapo upon his arrest, the financing
problem could soon be solved if Alabama Senator Luther Strange gets his way.
Strange went on Fox News' Tucker Carlson to discuss his idea of where this much-needed
wad of cash could come from right now, and it's as ironic as using drug money to pay
for it.
Those who want immigrants in this country don't seem to have an issue with paying
for them to be here, so they should be okay with footing the bill to keep them in their
country.
Strange explained to Tucker that the funds should come directly from so-called Sanctuary
Cities who don't follow the law.
In essence, this would be a fine for going against the President, not cooperating with
local police, refusing to turn immigrants in, and worst of all, actually preventing
people from fairly bidding on the border wall.
Sanctuary cities like San Francisco, California punish their citizens for participating in
bidding on the construction of the wall by banning them from doing any other work in
the city.
This is not a democracy, it's a dictatorship decided by liberals and since they aren't
stopping, Strange wants them to pay for the wall that's already written into law.
The Senator's simple solution is that cities who refuse to comply with the nation's law
aren't going to get the money that they expect from the government because it's
going to go to building the wall.
It makes perfect sense to not reward bad behavior with cash that could be used to ensure the
rule of law which our nation is built on.
Sanctuary Cities don't make their own rules and can't expect other people to pay for
it when it goes against what the president has already set.
Rather than defunding these defiant cities, divert the funding and let their laws be the
country's gain.
Along this same line of logic that Strange presented, costs of this wall could also be
met it America stopped or slowed the flow of funding to Mexico.
It only makes sense to use the money being sent over the border for the barrier between
us since we're also trying to block Mexican citizens from entering America illegally.
This isn't about keeping good people out and prevent people from wanting to seek a
better life and the American dream, it's only about preventing those from entering
the wrong way and wreaking havoc, compromising citizen's safety, and sapping off our resources.
If it's important to become a law-abiding American citizen and reap the rewards of living
in this country, there's an immigration to follow to prove those intentions.
The next best thing to using a drug lord's seized money earned from abusing our border
is to make Sanctuary Cities pay for it.
They can't make their own laws to harm people and force other people to pay
for
it too.

The Details We Know So Far About Harvey Weinstein Allegations - Duration: 2:40.
The biggest news in entertainment over the past week has been the rapid destruction of
the career of movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.
Weinstein is an Oscar- and career-making machine behind the success of everything from Pulp
Fiction to Shakespeare in Love to Clerks to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
But last Wednesday, after a day or so of rumors that it was coming, the New York Times published
a huge exposé revealing three decades of women claiming Weinstein had sexually harassed
them.
And that was just the beginning.
A similarly detailed story in the New Yorker followed, which included even more victims
speaking on the record, including a number of A-list actresses.
Here are some of the key points we know so far:
This Has Been Going on for a Long, Long Time
Like I just mentioned, the original Times story had an accusation dating from 1990,
from a former assistant.
But a follow-up story talked to Tomi-Ann Roberts, who went for what she thought was a meeting
about a movie role with Weinstein in 1984, and was met with him naked in a bathtub, trying
to get her to take her shirt off.
And it never stopped.
The New Yorker article contains an account of Weinstein groping a woman named Ambra Battilana
Gutierrez in 2015, and she caught him confessing on tape.
There Are Several Rape Accusations
On top of a voluminous amount of accounts of all types of harassment, there are three
women (so far) who accuse Weinstein of raping them.
Among them is the Italian actress Asia Argento.
A Lot of Famous Actresses Were Victims
In addition to Argento, a by-no-means-complete list of well-known actresses who claim to
have been harassed by Weinstein includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Mira Sorvino, Rosanna
Arquette, Heather Graham, and Ashley Judd.
In addition, Rose McGowan reportedly entered into a settlement with Weinstein in 1997.
And speaking of settlements...
There Were A Ton of Settlements
The Times uncovered eight settlements with women Weinstein reportedly assaulted.
The New Yorker found two in London alone.
A Lot of His Staff Was In On It
The New Yorker's Ronan Farrow talked to sixteen different employees who broke down how it
worked.
Someone would make an appointment with a young model or actress—ostensibly a business meeting,
except that it would usually take place at a hotel.
A female employee would usually be there for the early part of the meeting, to put the
soon-to-be-victim at ease.
Then the employee would leave, and Weinstein would begin pressuring the young woman for
sex—or worse.
Everyone Is Jumping Ship
Among the former Friends of Harvey who have condemned Weinstein since the story broke:
Matt Damon; Meryl Streep, Judi Dench, Kate Winslet, and Glenn Close; and even the Obamas.
But there's no need for Weinstein to worry—Lindsay Lohan is still on his side.

Fruits Should NOT Be Made So Expensive! - Duration: 12:44.
This fruit here,
over here they call it "chirimouya".
In French they call it "anone" ("anona" in English).
Ok, why am I talking about this?
This fruit, when I was a kid,
I used to eat it a lot, we even had an anona tree in the garden
in the house that we lived in,
Here in Rabat, in Morocco,
in North Africa.
I used to eat it a lot, and I liked it,
it is like yogourt (danone in French), and it is called "anona" (like danone),
it's delicious.
It has...
it has seeds,
black ones, like this. Many of them.
Now,
Recently, people have learned that this fruit can cure cancer.
Even those who sell fruits to us,
have started making it expensive, saying "oh, this cures cancer, you know!"
So there is this fruit here,
and there are avocados, walnuts and many others which are harvested in Morocco.
but we sell them as though we are selling gold.
We make things expensive for eachother.
And...
...no one is talking about these things in public.
We have these guys here,
who own the fruit market here in Agdal,
in Qais or the one near Label Vie (market places in Rabat),
since many Westerners buy fruits and vegetables here,
to them it is not expensive,
because their currency is higher than ours,
these merchants have been increasing the price on their fellow citizens.
And this thing...
I've confronted them about it so many times,
asking them why do they do this.
And these merchants,
their answer is "it's because this product is good, bla bla bla..."
I ask them "why don't you just reduce one dirham (around $0.1) per kg".
They sell these fruits for around 40 dirhams per kg
but I buy it for only 25 dirhams downtown,
because I know people there,
so they price it more reasonably.
And even that is not cheap.
But at least it is way better than 40 dirhams.
And this product is local, not like the spanish one that we get sometimes
which I don't buy.
Our own product is more organic, and more fresh,
unlike the other one.
The other one almost has no taste.
How do we allow ourselves to do such things?
These people who tax us so much for food,
and who decide for us where our food is grown,
how it should be grown, how much it will cost,
why should we give them the permission?
Take these fruits, take their seeds,
there's so many seeds here,
each seeds will bring forth a new tree.
We have nothing to lose!
Why can't we take one seed only,
each one of us can plant at least one seed of any locally grown fruit tree,
which is sold so expensively to us?
You can plant it in a pot even if you don't have a garden,
let it grow a little bit,
and find any place to plant it in.
And let it grow, water it from time to time,
If everyone does this, then these criminals, these --
I don't even know what to call them --
Will no longer make it expensive.
How do we allow them to raise taxes on their own fellow countrymen?
Just so that they can make more money,
over our own health,
so that they can sell to those with more money?
This is shameful. Everyone in Morocco should have the right to these fruits.
Those with money and those without.
These fruits should be so abundant, to the point where even cows and other animals,
and goats and everyone can also be able to eat them.
These fruits should be abundant.
We're in a land which supports such crops, and we don't grow them much.
We are letting these people legislate our food and do whatever they want with it.
Even this isn't like what we used to have.
Although it is Moroccan, and still good,
better than the ones from abroad, but it's not like what we had before.
Before, the peal was thinner.
When the peal is thick, it's a sign of pesticides.
The peal was thinner before.
It was so thin that it almost looked like paper as I ate.
Look at it now, it's thick. Not like before.
So,
get a hold of these things.
Walnuts,
these too are local.
I mean,
I've seen walnut trees here many times,
I mean these things are local!
Why do we allow for these people to sell it to us so expensively?
I have a friend,
who has
a house here, every year he would give me a big bag of avocados.
For free!
He just gives me!
And they get so much avocados!
Full baskets, so much that they'd rot and are thrown away.
They just sit there till they rot.
Now why --
don't we care about these things anymore?
Why have we become so obsessed with our phones to the point where we shut ourselves off from the world?
I hope you come across these videos as you're always on your phones!
So that you can get out of that virtual world a little bit.
These things are important and essential,
If these things are lacking, then all our society and people will vanish.
We are destroying ourselves at an alarming rate.
These things are what allow a people to be advanced.
A people does not advance because of...
...of roads, and cars,
and good looking clothes.
An advanced people know how to feed themselves.
This is how a people start becoming advanced.
And you take it from there.
An advanced people know how to feed itself,
Not with selfishness but by thinking of the general good.
Looking out for oneanother.
These fruits should be grown everywhere.
Everyone should be free to enjoy them.
The poor who live on the street,
with nothing to eat,
Do you think he will be healthy with only bread?
Along with other unhealthy foods -- poor guy?
These are a necessity.
And these people who sell us our food at a high price,
They're the ones calling themselves Muslims?
"No, no, this is a premium quality produt!"
"And this is normal"...
Dude, shut up -- this God that you keep talking about,
He gives this to us for free.
And we aren't even asking you to give it for free, simply reduce the price for us, and you refuse!
And you're the ones calling yourselves Muslims --
they're always the FIRST to come and say,
"oh you should pray, oh you should believe," etc
These same hypocrites!
They're always the first to appear religious!
And they're not even able to help you out
with something that the Creator has given us for free.
For free!
These trees should be planted everywhere!
And they could keep selling fruits!
We're not saying we want to ruin their business!
They can very well sell food! But don't make it so expensive!
They can sell it mostly in places where these fruits don't usually grow.
And they can sell us things which don't grow here.
All that is fine, but don't tax us so much!
Since these foods are locally grown,
you should not make them so expensive!
You're committing a huge crime, although it's not written down in a book,
but it's a human crime (against humanity).
It should not exist. And one of the ways to fight against this is,
Take these fruits and plant them.
Each one of us should go out to any garden or soil,
and plant it there.
You know, if we fill the place up with fruit trees,
we could change so much.
Don't see these things as something insignificant,
everything begins from what is most essential.
These things are essential!
And I'm not doing such a great thing making these videos,
these things are simple!
We have just forgotten them because...
our attention has been deviated towards other things,
which are mainly distractions.
All these videos, and youtube, and social media...
...and all these phones, etc... the whole day!
Come back to these things!
We wanna see children outside
eating such fruits,
climbing trees
picking fruits, learning about fruits and their different riping seasons...
We have a fruit tree on the street nearby,
just on the street,
It's still there and people shouldn't cut it down.
We must plant more fruit trees, and no allow some to come and cut it down,
and if they do so we must fight them.
These things should be there!
We must teach the children
to connect more with nature and to be healthy,
to eat healthy food,
instead of teaching them cursing,
soccer, Barça and Réal and all this nonsense,
sniffing glue, smoking joints, etc...
Allow them to learn things like this here, man.
This is how we've grown.
There were more trees around and we used to have fun and learn about life,
even though I'm not that old but in 15 year so much has already changed.
This has to change.
And a good way to do it is to plant more trees.
Any fruit you like, avocado, anona,
anything you want which the others tax us so much for,
or even those cheaper fruits like apples and oranges!
Plant it everywhere!
Let this reach to everyone!
