Kim Jong-un has regularly responded to US military operations in the region with missile launches as the two nations trade threats of conflict.

Now North Korea has blasted Donald Trump's soldiers, accusing them of "imperialist aggression" after US forces joined South Korean troops to carry out military drills on the Korean peninsula.

In a statement through propaganda mouthpiece KCNA, the North Korean regime accused the US of preparing for an invasion. They said: "The U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet forces are reportedly getting more hell-bent on war moves against the DPRK.

"The warmongers of the South Korean puppet navy announced at the National Assembly defence committee on Oct. 19 that they would plan to use Apache helicopters of the 2nd Division of the U.S.

Yesterday the US Air Force publicly taunted North Korea with a flyby near the hermit state's coast as Kim Jong-un's war of words with Trump continues.

US fighter jets buzzed the rogue nation as they flew over South Korea as part of the Seoul International Aerospace and Defence Exhibition being held this weekend.

The display saw a series of F-22 Raptors, one of the most advanced jets in the world, perform in an air show after taking off from the Seoul Military Airport in Seongnam.

The high-tech Raptor stealth planes are the most capable air superiority fighters in the world, able to sneak past radar undetected.

On Thursday, Pyongyang warned of an "unimaginable strike at an unimaginable time" on US targets in response to the ongoing US-South Korean joint naval drills near the Korean Peninsula.

And a day later, a senior diplomat vowed to fight fire with fire if the USA were to attack as North Korea insisted having nuclear weapons was a matter of life or death.

While Trump has refused to rule out taking military action against the secretive nation and even threatened that dictatorship could be "totally annihilated".

While nuclear weapons and security experts say the rest of the world really should be worried about the potential fallout from some of the Presidents tweets.

Alex Wellerstein, a historian of nuclear weapons, warned Trump's failure to back down from his aggressive rhetoric could see Pyongyang simply increase its nuclear weapons testing as it deems the USA to remain a significant threat.

He said: I think the belligerent rhetoric is making it worse. I dont think he is clear on how to get people to do what you want if they arent already inclined to agree with you.

When you have a lot of money, people around you tend to do what you say, and that isnt really great preparation for international diplomacy..

Due to North Korea's limited connectivity and skills, Pyongyang is forced to go through its Russian and Chinese neighbours' systems in order to carry out its own cyber attacks.  This makes it incredibly difficult to determine who exactly was responsible for hacking attacks because all three states could pose as the other.  North Koreas hackers were only a limited threat to international cyber security.

The real danger, he said, was America's rivals in Beijing and Moscow. . He said: "To some extent that is bigger concern, more so than North Korea. North Korea only have so many connections out of the country.

We have proven here we can take out or seriously degrade some of their connectivity." He said he believed it was Chinese hackers, not North Korea, who were responsible for a series of hacks of US ships in Asia in recent months.  He said: "I suspect it is more of a China thing.

China is one of the few out there that can hack where it is nearly impossible to know.  Hackers are a threat to government bodies, big business, members of the public and even defence.

Three US warships have been involved in unusual collisions this year - including one between the USS John McCain and a Libyan oil tanker in August, which left 10 sailors dead.

  Earlier this year the USS Fitzgerald was also in collision with a Philippines container ship, leading to seven deaths.   North Korean hackers forced the shut-down of a Channel 4 sitcom poking fun at the hermit state.

  The show followed a British nuclear scientist taken prisoner by the tyrannical regime, headed by despot Kim Jong-un.

It is believed hackers infiltrated the channels security system, causing chaos albeit not gaining access to any valuable information.   Channel 4 eventually abandoned the project, citing funding issues.

China's sweeping claims of sovereignty over the sea have provoked competing claimants

Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei, Taiwan, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Non-claimants like USA, India, Australia & Japan want the South China Sea to remain as international

waters with freedom of navigation.

Over the past few years China has used a rapidly expanding navy and coastguard to enforce its

claims to reefs and rocks far out at sea.

China has employed dredging fleets to build artificial islands, runways on them and have

set up military infrastructures.

They have chased Philippine and Vietnamese fishermen from disputed grounds, poached in

neighbor's exclusive economic zones

Recently China tried building a high-mountain road in sparsely populated Dokhlam plateau

in western Bhutan, which was thwarted by Indian forces.

These events clearly outline China's increasingly aggressive behaviors and have brought US and

India closer.

The world's oldest democracy and world's largest democracy is now joining hands to

counter China.

Since 2016, India has been designated as a "major defense partner" of the US.

US has said that it will treat India "at a level at par with that of the United States'

closest allies and partners".

US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledged to deepen their defense

and security cooperation.

Lets get started.

Ski-jump aircraft carriers like India's INS Vikramaditya have limitations, regarding

Steam catapult aircrafts of similar category can carry 3 times as much as payload compared

to ski jump aircrafts.

But steam catapult used in American Nimitz class requires a lot of steam piping, a large

condensate return, and tons of fresh water.

They also have a lot of maintenance issues.

Plus, with steam-actuation, the majority of the force is being transferred to the airplane

at the beginning of the stroke—in a jolt.

This puts stress on an airframe, and thus reduces lifespan of the multi-million dollar

planes.

EMALS (Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System) installed in Ford class uses linear induction

motor with an electric current to generate a magnetic field.

That field then propels a carriage down a track.

Since the power delivery is linear, it negates the deficiencies of steam catapult.

It's also lighter than a steam catapult system and cheaper to operate.

Due to its flexible architecture, EMALS can launch a wide variety of aircraft weights

and can be used on a variety of platforms with differing catapult configurations.

It is a state of art technology and only Ford class has it.

India had sent a letter of request to the US government during the Obama administration

for EMLAS built by General Atomics for INS Vishal aircraft carrier, which is currently

in design phase.

INS Vishal will be India's first super carrier.

The Trump administration sent a response to India recently about its decision to release

this technology.

It must also be noted that, US is assisting in different aspects of engineering INS Vishal.

On November 30 last year, India signed the Letter of Agreement and Acceptance (LOA) with

the US to buy 145 M777s through the foreign military sale (FMS) route.

The M777 howitzer is a towed 155mm artillery piece, is a successor to the M198 howitzer.

It is manufactured by BAE System's Global Combat Systems division.

This is first major buy for the Mountain Strike Corps.

The Mountain Strike Corps has been specially raised to defend India's border with China.

The M 777 is designed with weight & size in mind.

It is lighter than any other 155 mm howitzer having a weight of only 4,100 kg

The lighter weight and smaller size allows the M777 to be transported by the C-17 & C130J

aircraft, CH-47 helicopter as well as trucks with ease.

This will give Indian Army tremendous flexibility in operations, especially in mountainous terrain.

Under Make in India initiative, the gun's assembly, integration and testing will be

shifted to India.

The US has cleared the sale of predator Guardian drones to India.

The Indian Navy had made the request for this intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance

(ISR) platform last year.

This purchase of drones manufactured by General Atomics marks the first of its kind from the

US by a country that is not a member of the NATO

The Sea Guardian is a variant of the tested MQ-9 platform.

This unmanned aircraft can fly for 40 hours uninterrupted.

With the inclusion of Guardian Drones, India's range to keep a watch in the Indian Ocean

will increase manifolds and help keep a tab on Chinese vessels.

India and the US last year underscored their military partnership with the signing of a

deal worth over $1 billion for the purchase of 4 additional Poseidon-8I long-range maritime

surveillance and anti-submarine warfare aircraft.

The contract is a follow-up order to the 8 P-81 planes already bought by India in a direct

deal with Boeing's Indian subsidiary worth $2.1 billion in 2009.

The P-8I is a long-range anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, intelligence, surveillance

and reconnaissance aircraft capable of broad area, maritime and littoral operations.

Equipped with the sophisticated Harpoon missiles, lightweight torpedoes and rockets, the Indian

Navy has been using the P-8I to keep watch over the Indian Ocean, which has seen forays

by Chinese submarines including the docking of a Chinese nuclear submarine in Sri Lanka.

India and the US had signed an important agreement in 2016.

The Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA) allows them to use each other's land,

air and naval bases for repair and resupply.

With the signing, this long-contemplated logistics agreement finally become operational.

This is a major step toward reinforcing defense ties.

US fighter jets buzzed the rogue nation as they flew over South Korea as part of the Seoul International Aerospace and Defence Exhibition being held this weekend.

The display saw a series of F-22 Raptors, one of the most advanced jets in the world, perform in an air show after taking off from the Seoul Military Airport in Seongnam, south of Seoul.

The high-tech Raptor stealth planes are the most capable air superiority fighters in the world, able to sneak past radar undetected.

During today's media event at the air show, the aircraft soared hundreds of feet above spectators to show off their military might in a warning to Kim Jong-Un.

And an F-35 stealth fighter also took part in the show on Saturday, along with the 'Black Eagles' aerobatics team of South Koreas Air Force.

The eye-catching black-and-white or orange-and-black jets, adorned with sharp lines and angular features, performed a dramatic display - creating love hearts and loop-the-loops in the air as red and blue smoke billowed behind them.

  Hundreds of people stood to watch the display in awe, as the jets sped overhead reaching huge speeds.

Earlier this week, the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford arrived in Seoul for talks on ways to better deal with threats from He met the South Korean President Moon Jae-in at the Blue House on Monday, where the pair were thought to host discussions on the North Koreas latest provocations and threats, as well as their bilateral defence alliance.

Gen Dunford's visit to Seoul is part of his Asia tour, including Japan and China to hold talks with his counterparts on regional security issues.

And his trip coincided with the air show, being held from October 17 to 22, which comes amid strained tensions between Washington and Pyongyang.

On Thursday, Pyongyang warned of an "unimaginable strike at an unimaginable time" on US targets in response to the ongoing US-South Korean joint naval drills near the Korean Peninsula.

And a day later, a senior diplomat vowed to fight fire with fire if the USA were to attack as North Korea insisted having nuclear weapons was a matter of life or death.

While Mr Trump has refused to rule out taking military action against the secretive nation and even threatened that North Korea could be "totally annihilated".

While nuclear weapons and security experts say the rest of the world really Alex Wellerstein, a historian of nuclear weapons, warned Mr Trump's failure to back down from his aggressive rhetoric could see Pyongyang simply increase its nuclear weapons testing as it deems the USA to remain a significant threat.

At a non-proliferation conference in Moscow, a North Korean official said it would not hesitate to launch nuclear missiles at America if provoked.

Fears of World War 3 breaking out have been high for weeks after the secretive state launched a series of missiles and carried out is sixth, most powerful, nuclear test.

The tensions have led to a series of angry outbursts from US President Donald Trump, who hinted at military action. North Korea, meanwhile, has accused him of declaring war and shown no sign of backing down.

She told reporters in Moscow: "The Democratic People's Republic of Korea [DPRK] is not planning to hold talks on nuclear weapons and the US has to get along with the DPRK's nuclear status.

The plan proposes a moratorium on Pyongyangs missile and nuclear weapons tests, while South Korea and the US suspend holding military exercises.

And the editorial suggested while the US actions can never work on Pyongyang's allies, "it may work on a few riff-raffs who are afraid of the might of the boss of the international gangsters or eager for a few dollars".

The report added: "No matter how desperately the US may resort to all sorts of gimmicks to form a network of blockade against the DPRK, it can never check the advance of the just cause of Juche Korea nor can it stop international support and solidarity with the DPRK from increasing.

"Russia understands North Korea is doing the dirty job for them by keeping Americans at bay and away from the East Sea.

"Russia and China don't need to do a thing because North Korea is there like a regional sheriff or watch dog – making noises every time there are military drills by US and South Korea.".

Tensions have been rising this year as Trump and Kim's war talk becomes increasingly violent, with both threatening the other total annihilation.

Dr Petrov described the region as in quite a "stable balance of threat" and said "everyone is trying to avoid confrontation".

However, he warned there is now a very real chance of war "escalating uncontrollably from human error, a misunderstanding, an overreaction, or misinterpretation from the other side".

The expert suggested something as simple as an "out of control rocket" or an "aircraft losing course" could trigger World War 3.

As to why Kim is so determined to obtain nukes, Dr Petrov said "just one nuclear device is a perfect psychological deterrent".He said: "It is impossible to deal with the Americans because they don't keep their promises.

The US B-1B strategic bombers flew over South Korea today as part of an air show designed to intimidate North Koreas supreme leader Kim Jong-un.

The supersonic bombers, which cost more than a quarter of a billion each, flew low over Seoul Air Base for eight minutes.  The brazen show of force follows weeks of bellicose rhetoric from Kim and Trump, who threatened to totally destroy North Korea if force to do so.

Trump is amassing warships in the region, including aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan, amid fears Kim may test another nuclear weapon or ballistic missile.  US war drills were ramped up this week as warships fired a barrage of shells into the sky during joint exercises with South Korea.  Today Trump showcased his air capability, with his bombers conducting air-to-surface missile firing drills before appearing at the airshow in Seoul. .

FIREPOWER: A B-1B Lancer is a long-range strategic bomber.

Two South Korean F-15K fighter jets escorted the bombers as they flew west over the base, swooping just 450-500 meters above the ground at one point.  Their altitudes were so low that they were seen well from the stands, and not only the roar, but even a little vibration was also felt that spectators gaped at them, a defense ministry official said.

The bombers entered South Korean airspace after taking off from Anderson Air Base in Guam earlier in the day.

A STRIKE group of nuclear-capable US warships and submarines on the prowl near North Korea

is "prepared for war" after carrying out large-scale war drills.

The flotilla of ships and submarines, led by aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan, docked

in South Korea on Saturday after a week of joint naval drills.

Submarines USS Tucson and USS Michigan, and 40 vessels joined the aircraft carrier and

its 5,000 sailors in the South Korean port city of Busan.

The five-day drills – also involving US fighter jets and helicopters – were training

for a strike against North Korea.

"This is what we have been training for," said commander Alex Hampton, a US Navy crewman

of 16 years, of the drills.

"Are we prepared for war?

Absolutely.

And I am confident in our abilities to execute anything that our nation command authority

gives us to do."

When naval drills of a similar scale took place in April, Trump described his strike

force of warships as a "powerful armada".

Marc Dalton, chief of the Ronald Reagan strike group, described the drills as a "routine"

part of their defence partnership with South Korea.

"This port visit is the perfect ending to this regularly scheduled exercise with our

Republic of Korea Navy counterparts," he said.

He said the US commitment to defending itself and its allies is "enduring".

"This exercise is an example of how we train with our allies in order to be ready to respond

to a range of crises," he added.

But the massive military exercises come amid heightened tensions between the US and Kim

Jong-un's totalitarian regime.

North Korean state media has branded US war drills in the region as "sabre-rattling"

that could "ignite nuclear war".

If war does break out, North Korea would "annihilate the US imperialist aggressors", state owned

newspaper Rodong Sinmun said.

US aircraft carriers appear to be a popular target for North Korea's propaganda machine.

A series of videos on North Korea's state run website showed simulations of missile

strikes destroying the aircraft carriers and their fleets earlier this year.

curb North Korea's missile and nuclear programmes.

The communist state has repeatedly angered Trump by testing nuclear weapons and ballistic

U.S. President Donald Trump has stepped up the pressure on the National Football League

over protests by its players during the national anthem by launching a petition and asking

his supporters to show their patriotism by backing it.

The move came after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell this week rejected Trump's calls

to punish players who kneel for the anthem to protest racism.

Trump has said the protests are unpatriotic and disrespectful of military veterans.

"The President has asked for a list of supporters who stand for the National Anthem.

Add your name below to show your patriotism and support," said the petition issued on

Thursday by the Trump Make America Great Again Committee, a fundraising organization for

Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.

The petition was published on the Republican National Committee website.

It did not indicate how many signatures had been received.

Players kneeling during "The Star-Spangled Banner" are protesting the killing of unarmed

black men and boys by police across the United States, as well as racial disparities in the

country's criminal justice system.

More than half of all NFL players are black.

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who first popularized the gesture

Goodell said on Wednesday after a meeting of league owners that the NFL would continue
