tattoos of course change you on the outside, I mean it will change your appearance
but what can it do to change you on the inside?
Mentally or emotionally?
I will tell you my own experience.
Something happens mentally and emotionally on the inside when you get tattooed,
not on everyone and not after every tattoo,
but most people do get that little change inside after a tattoo.
Later in the video I will show you my most powerful tattoo, the one that changed me the most,
so stick around to the end of the video and I'll show you.
After my first tattoo I instantly wanted to get more.
It gave me a rush of self-esteem, it gave me the feeling of having the power of my own body,
to decorate it and make it more unique and personal and different, you know,
standing out in the crowd like a big wall of graffiti next to a parking lot
or a lonely little flower in a big field of green grass.
It's like when you get new clothes or jewelry,
the car, the nice watch, it's a kind of a statement,
it's a part of your outer self, the one you want to look like,
I dyed my hair and I had these kind of cyber clothings,
and my buffalo boots and lots of piercings,
and I liked standing out, and being different from most people,
I was really shy, but it was like I had this inner voice that wanted to be heard,
but I was so shy so I took it out on my clothing and my makeup and hair colors and piercings,
so they made the statement for me because I wasn't tough enough, I wasn't loud enough,
the tattoos took that role for me, and did that for me,
instead of all of those clothes, shoes and makeup and hair,
and the tattoos made me even more me than all of the other stuff did.
Tattoos has always been a cool way to express your inner feelings and memories and stuff,
but it's also a luxury kind of jewelry. It's a way that you decorate your body
like a jewelry or hair color or anything, you decorate it like interior but this is your body instead.
Why do you decorate your living room or your bedroom?
You want to make it your room.
You decorate it the way you want to, to make it feel more personal to you,
that you would want to stick around more,
and feel good, and that's the same with tattoos.
But like in fashion and cars and jewelry and all that, tattoos is nothing we need.
We need food, we need air.
We need clothing but we don't need that nice watch, or that expensive blouse or
jacket or pants, we don't need those expensive shoes,
so tattoos is more like a luxury that we want to have,
we seek it, we just want it, we save up the money for it and when we do get it, it feels amazing.
And we have managed to decorate our bodies and showing it off in a way.
It's like having nice nails or eyelash extensions.
It costs, it's a luxury, you don't have to have it, you will survive without it,
but we are like that, we are material people,
and when it gives you joy then why not? As long as it's not hurting anyone else.
And when you do get that tattoo that you wanted, and you longed for and you saved up money to go and get,
when you get that, it's like you're new, it's a new you or at least an updated version of you,
just more decorated and more fun.
That gives you that feeling of being in control of yourself.
Your body's your temple and that crap,
It's not crap at all. Your body is your temple!
And like the fitness people, they go and workout, they spend so much energy to
really work on their bodies and make their bodies perfect when you do get
that tattoo it gives you that inner joy and self-esteem like, yes, I did it!
It's mine and only mine it's kind of showing who I am, who I want to be maybe,
there are so many reasons why you get tattooed most of mine are reminders for myself,
reminders of who I am, who I want to be, who I want to become,
kind of my little wish board maybe, the religion I'm into is the law of attraction,
I think that's so exciting to think about,
that you can actually get whatever you want in life as long as you focus on it
and put all of your energy into this and you'll get it.
So my tattoos are mostly reminders or statements, or they are good memories that I wish to preserve forever.
So I'm gonna show you my most powerful tattoo,
the one that has given me most self esteem out of every tattoo that I got,
and it is my last tattoo, and it is the one on my throat. It says "Attitude".
It's not easy to write "Attitude" and to get it symmetrical,
because I wanted the "I" to be in the middle and it says:
A.T.T.I.T.U.D.E.
Attitude.
"Attitude" is the name of my tattoo shop. I opened it up in 2008,
after I've been working as a tattoo artist in another shop for eight years, I own my own.
I really really worked hard to have my own shop and to keep it running,
now my boyfriend is running it for me so I can focus more on clients and designs,
and doing what I love best and now also this YouTube thing which is awesome!
But this tattoo kind of gave me a "level up" and my self esteem and my trust in myself,
and to actually go through with my thoughts, go through with my dreams,
just go for stuff and stop caring about what other people think all the time
because that's been one of my biggest flaws and my biggest kind of weight on my shoulders
is that I care so much about what other people think so it's kind of
my biggest lesson I'm learning at the moment is to just jump! Just go for it!
Just do it! Next summer I'm gonna try to jump in a pool
because I've never done that either, yeah I know, I´m weird! I just want to jump!
I just want to do my stuff. I want to do my thing.
Those who like it they like it.
And those who don't, then they don't.
And I need to learn that people who don't like me or what I do,
it's okay. I don't have to try for them. I'm not here for them.
I'm here for me! So when I got this, it was like I fell in love with my throat!
I fell in love with my new neck. It's my biggest, most awesome jewelry,
but it's not even finished yet,
we're gonna have some details here and there, and some spider webs and awesome details
I can't wait to show it to you when it's fully finished.
But that was my tattoo and I promise to show it to you.
So my question for the day is:
