HIROSHIMA STREET FOOD - Miyajima Island | Hiroshima, Japan | Food and travel channel - Duration: 11:09.

We're on Miyajima island- there's a beautiful torii gate, deer roaming

around and a whole heap of delicious food to sample- let's go and see what we

can find

one of the things you've got to try when you're on Miyajima Island is eel

so we've found this stall which sells steamed eel buns.

It's piping hot and

the bun is so soft so it's filled with vegetables and sea eel and we've heard it's got a

bit of spice. Mmm the bun is just really plain, simple, the eel is minced

and it's got some pickled vegetables in it. It's a very subtle flavor-I think I'm going to need

another bite. Mmmmm really really light, you can taste that little hint of spice. The pickled

vege- it's really good. Mmmm I love eel and this ticks all the boxes, it's very light

like Sheena said, eel's a pretty subtle flavor, it's got a nice fishiness just

subtle fishiness, the vege adds a little bit of crunch, there's some I

think bamboo and some cabbage maybe some onions or something the bun's really soft

really well steamed so it's just like a steamed pork bun which is one like

pretty much most people's favorite, it's just the most stunning thing this is exactly the same

principle but with this eel mixture inside so it's really good. Like a pork bun

it's got that sort of slight sauciness going on and a little bit of

sweetness I'm picking up- that's really really good

another thing to try when you're on Miyajima island or in Hiroshima in general

are oysters because Hiroshima produces about 80% of Japan's oysters. Look at how plump they

are. These are just plain grilled oysters I've added a bit of lemon. Whoooaaa.

Wow so creamy, super fresh that is epic. I really love cooked oysters as

well as raw oysters, my grandma used to always steam them in an egg

custard so I have really fond memories of cooked oysters

and that was a damn fine one. Look at the size of this thing

like it's almost as big as my hand it's absolutely incredible and like Sheena

said it 's so plump I'm going to add some lemon. Alright so just a dribble of lemon

grab a pick

Wow look at the size of that thing, it's so meaty and because it's been grilled it's

kind of holding together it's holding its shape it's not really slimy like a

fresh oyster

Wow if you're not into oysters, you wouldn't be into this because it definitely

taste like an oyster. It's so good because it's been cooked it's really

firm, not firm in a chewy way just how it holds together was really nice in the

mouth wow, I've never had an oyster like that I've never really had many cooked

oysters before to be honest we're from New Zealand and the really famous oyster

from New Zealand is the Bluff oyster which you you always have raw, well you don't

but you should always have raw because it's just heaven so really haven't had many

cooked ones. This is damn good and the fact that you can have it in a couple of

bites that shows how big this oyster is. Really really good. Arigatou gozaimasu.

Miyajima is also the birthplace of the rice scoop and they have the world's

largest rice scoop. Miyajima Island rice scoops are known for scooping up

happiness, victory and good fortune- fun fact! The most famous dessert on Miyajima

island is momiji-manju a maple leaf shaped cake with filling inside

traditionally it's red bean but you can also get custard, cheese, chocolate,

green tea all sorts I've got custard here to try

it's so nice and soft it's a sponge cake really well it feel like it.

Mmm and it's just simple custard filling, very sweet but the perfect size to

satiate your sugar craving and it's really neat because the street is just

lined with all these shops which are making the Momiji Manju in the window

so you can see the batter being poured into the press and the press going down and

it's really neat . This is great. I'm going to try the red bean version I love

red bean I think it's great it's often too sweet Very tasty- the

red bean is um quite gluggy not like the custard the custard one was really like

silky and sticky almost this is like Sheena said sponge cake, really basic

sponge cake, the red bean paste is very sweet

like tingling in my mouth sweet which I don't particularly love to be totally

honest but anything like that like this sorry is going to be like that so when it's

this size it's really good because it's kind of the right portion and it's really tasty.

And I love too how much filling there is they don't skimp on the filling you

gotta hate it when they just fill you up with sponge cake. That's a really

interesting snack. We couldn't resist this green tea one because the packaging

was so beautiful this one's from another store. Japan does presentation so well no

matter what it is it's beautiful. Green tea

hmm this is really really nice because the green tea is not too sweet and the

bitterness of the green tea works really well with the sweet sponge it's very

smooth, a little bit grainy like the red bean paste was but that's nice I think

that's probably my favorite along with the custard because anything custard is

good right? The deer are not afraid of people this one here started nibbling on my top

just before, see she's getting in. She's got my top! She's got my top hahaha. The camera! Your bag!

Hahaha I've got deer slobber all over me

Miyajima is known as the island of the gods and is really well known for its

torii gate the one behind me and at high tide it looks like the gate is floating

in the water. The gate's the entrance to the Itsukushima Shinto shrine so let's go and

check that out

we keep seeing this Miyajima beer all over the place for sale and we couldn't

not try it. The most beautiful label apparently it's local but well it has to

be local it's called Miyajima original beer and we've googled, we've asked so many

people if there's a brewery here and the answer from Google seems to be yes the

answer from locals seems to be no but we've not found anyone with very good

English so it's been a bit tricky so apparently there is a brewery somewhere

here so if anyone knows where it is or can find it let us know we just bought

this from just a little shop in the main street so it's a pale ale

super interesting. Oh wow it's really hoppy but not in a like kick you in the

back of the throat way that is a beautiful beer it's got some really good

fruit flavors coming through it looks like it's a really cloudy finish to it

so it's- it's almost unfiltered there's a lot of um sediment in the bottle that is

absolutely fantastic. I see it says Miyajima beer since 2010 so

there's got to be a brewery here somewhere. We'd love it if someone could

do. Love it if someone could. Too much beer I've had one sip- we would love it if

someone could let us know because this is so interesting and this is a really

fine beer Sheena try it

Mmmm that is delicious- it's almost gingery in taste yeah

you're right it does yeah, oh it's so good. It's the perfect ending to a really fun day

of exploring on Miyajima Island so there's just lots to see it's really

relaxed, lots of shrines and parks and gardens and little restaurants it's

a beautiful day trip from Hiroshima thank you so much for watching and we'll

see you next time we hope we've inspired you to eat and explore like a traveler, not

a tourist. Kanpai! I forgot to say if you're enjoying our content we would love you

much about Pink Floyd, do you think that they should

go out and listen to more of their music?

- I think so.

It would be refreshing compared to

(laughing) what you're listening today.

- I think they would love the music.

It speaks to them.

- I think they should listen to it to have an idea

of what music was back in, let's say,

back in the '70s.

- What they had to say is timeless.

You could say something like "comfortably numb"

and apply that as a real good reminder

to all of us going forward for a very long time,

as to what complacency can do.

- I really appreciate the fact that I could hear the words,

understand them the first time, and, like I say,

I wish I-- back then, I wish I had spent

a little bit more time listening to them

because they really had a message.

Their music has a character that's not found as much

in today's very pop rock and roll.

Hey, check 'em out.

- Thanks for watching this episode of Elders React.

- For new content every week, subscribe and hit the bell.

- Thanks for watching,

and we'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

- Hi, guys, I'm Andrea. - And I'm Kara,

and we're two of FBE's biggest Pink Floyd fans.

- Yeah, and if you have a favorite band,

let us know in the comments, and maybe we'll cover them.

(ENG SUB)Red Velvet Yeri Cover Makeup of Sunny's channel [GoToe BEAUTY] - Duration: 6:46.

Hello everone. This is GoToe

Today's video is makeup video!

which Sunny did

Red Velvet Yeri makeup

I don't have any experience about makeup

So I want to know is it possible

to do the makeup with just following her

She used liquid highlighter first

but when I went to the store, that product was discontinued

So I used Oil control sunblock of THE FACESHOP

This is the only cosmetic I use

The next step is

Original tension fact number 23

It was hardly seen to apply a little

so I used it a lot

So I got acne

If you want to use this product a little is enough.

Do not repeat mistakes like me.

When I applied it

I didn't felt a lot of difference between before and after application.

With screen, It really makes a lot of difference.

I used one of these, but the skin was very bright.

Really good to see it

Next step is eyebrow

I used 'Super skinny brow (natural brown)

Yeri's eyeline is

natural, straight eyeline

Cute!!

Next I used modern shadow

Shade the entire eyeball

I can't find my eyeball at all

So I forced myself to hold my eyes by hand.

It's pretty bad.

with a little harder brush, make shade under the eyes

Do you know Disney Animation Mulan?

I just suddenly thought

The following uses modern shadow bunch cinnamon.

Shapes the eyes and the triangular zone.

ruined

It is irreversible

I've done it once

so my left eye is much cleaner.

Use another brush to blend the top of the eye.

paints under the eyes once.

Next one is glossy eyes

I used Orange color. It doesn't mean Fxxk you

As you can see, with your eyes open

You can apply it to the center of the eye.

It seems to have made a lot of makeup compared to the beginning.

Next I used eyebrows to make puppy-like eyes

ruined again

The left eye is pretty good.

Next, curl the eyelashes using the viewer.

It really scared

My eyes are terrified

Next, apply mascara up and down.

The under eyelashes should be applied neatly.

I hear it very well, do not you?

Next, apply the pearl that I had previously

applied to the front of the eye.

Next, I will use the chocolate-colored shadows I used before

on my eyebrows

I was careful about the end

because the tip of the eyebrow was very faint.

Now I am applying?

Next, we will do nose shading from the front of eyebrows.

Because Yeri's nose is small and high

We makes shading as thin as possible.

My nose is growing alive, right?

In the original video, Sunny explains very well.

But I have nothing to say..

Are you having fun?

Thank you

Now I will shine my face contours.

Yeri's face is a very pretty egg-type face.

That's why I use brushes to shade

my jaw bones like dinosaurs.

Does not work at all?

And while highlighting the top of the T-zone

connects it to the end of the nose.

Now I will try my lips makeup.

As you can see, Sunny painted with a lip brush.

But I do not have anything like that in my house

so I just paint it.

The front of the lips is dumb and short

thin on the side of the mouth.

The color is so pretty now?

Next, I used red-pink lip crayons

Apply it only to the inside of the lips.

The upper lip of the upper lip with the same color makes it look a little longer.

The broken front teeth are too sharp.

I did not know that, cosmetics were on the front teeth.

I did not notice it at all

I do not think it was tasteless.

Next, highlighting the jaw

It makes your face look thinner.

and captures the characteristics of the face of Yeri once more.

Shade wrinkles next to your nose when she smile.

It has improved considerably compared to the beginning.

Finally, shading the philtrum

and it is really important part

The pink blusher must be applied over the entire ball.

You have to apply it too much.

You're almost there now

This step is to apply lipgloss

Nowadays, eyegloss are sold separately

In origianl video, Sunny said

She said she used the lipgloss as it is.

You can apply it to the remaining area between eyebrows.

If you paint a pair of curves, you have to be careful

because when you blink you are too sticky and uncomfortable.

Apply a little bit on your lips.

This is the end of makeup!!

So far I have followed Sunny's Red Velvet

Russian Roulette makeup.

I hope everyone enjoys it

If you have other makeup videos you want, please leave a comment.

I will try to reflect them as much as possible.

see you in the next video :)

Talking to the Camera & What to Say | How to Start a Booktube Channel #3 - Duration: 11:02.

Hi everyone, it's Lauren and welcome to the third episode in my series on how to

start a booktube channel. I will leave a link to the series in the corner here

and in the description box below where you can find videos on the entire

process from getting your ideas, scheduling, planning, editing, uploading

and getting involved in the booktube community

Today's video is going to be about talking in front of a camera and it's

going to encompass both how to talk in front of a camera just in general and

secondly more specifically, how to talk about books, which is a question I get

asked all the time - how do you summarize books? How do you explain them in a video?

So hopefully we are going to get to the crux of that today. So starting with

the tips I have for just talking in general on camera and creating a

YouTube video, I really wished there was like a playbook that I could hand you

which would give you tips on how to be on YouTube and how to talk in front of a

camera. Ultimately I think the best thing about YouTube is being yourself and

connecting with the people that are watching your videos so although I can

give you some tips and some handy hints I can't tell you exactly how to do it

because everybody is going to have their own approach and that's the best thing

about this place. My first very basic tip is to make sure that you're looking at

the camera lens and not at the viewfinder if you're using a DSLR like I

am or at yourself on the screen if you're using a phone to film. This is a

very weird habit to get into because you're just looking down the lens of the

camera and not at someone and also to the side of your vision is a picture of

yourself and it's very easy to get distracted by that. The other thing is to

make sure that you are face on in general to the camera no matter where

the camera is, if it's closer if it's to an angle you want to make sure that your

body is facing it. You need to try and imagine what actors do on a stage and

use that kind of rule so whether you've got a book that you're holding up in

front of you, you want to make sure you're still looking at the camera. I

have a terrible habit of just playing with a book and flicking through it

while I'm talking about it, which I know is very annoying and something I try and

not do. Similarly if you're doing a collab with someone you want to make

sure that although it's very natural for you to turn and speak to someone like

this, that's not the angle that's going to be best for your video. You need

to perhaps angle yourself, keep yourself facing forward and if you're talking to

someone make sure that your whole face is still kind of visible. It does feel

quite fake and quite performance-y at first but you do get used

to it eventually and my third general tip for speaking to the camera is to

make sure you slow down your speech. I really struggle with this because I try

to be as much of my unfiltered self as I possibly can be on camera and I talk

very fast and I trip over my words because that's what I'm like as a person

and I definitely try to slow my speech down. Doing this not only means that you

are more likely to be understood by your viewers, it also makes you less likely to

stumble over your words because you've got a better idea of where your

sentence is going before you start speaking and you are less likely to

indulge in facial and vocal tics which I will speak about in a minute. So the

summary of my very basic talking to camera tips basically one: make sure you

are looking at the camera, two: make sure that your face is always visible and

that you are as much as you possibly can be face onto the camera and three: slow

yourself down, just make it slightly slower than you would if you were

talking to somebody in real life. Other than that it's your channel so you be

yourself or be whoever you want to be on camera, you can be as polished as you

like you can be as sloppy as I am, it's all completely fine because you need to

find your own style. Unfortunately that's only really going to come with practice

and you can't really know what kind of youtuber or booktuber you're going to be

until you actually sit down and start speaking to a camera. The other thing you

can't really know before you start filming is what you're like in front of

a camera because very few of us know what we're like to actually talk to and

if you want to get a bit of self awareness believe me, editing yourself

every week after you've filmed yourself is a very interesting way to getting to

know yourself as a person from a different angle

I know apparently the what I do in between speaking is lick my lips and

make a tutting sound so I apparently do this in between my sentences - who knew?

Everybody else did, obviously, but just not me. I haven't got rid of that tic

completely and I edit it out a lot but knowing that I do that has allowed me to

when I'm slowing myself down and being a little bit more self aware during my

videos it does allow me to stop doing that. Something which I haven't stopped

doing and I know that I need to work on that

is moving my hand so much. Because of the framing of this lens my hands are below

the screen so when I'm talking and I'm going like this you can't see that so

that's great for me although you can see me wobbling around because I am a very

fidgety person naturally and when I talk I'm very expressive with my hands, I use

my hands get my point across. You will have something else that you need to

work on, everybody's different and you can't know that until you start going so

my advice would be to just film a practice video, you don't have to upload

it if you're too nervous and you can just then see for yourself what you're

like. I think actually I didn't do a practice video I think the first video I

filmed I just uploaded because I just thought 'oh well that's what I'm like, I'm

gonna I'm going to upload it' so you don't have to be embarrassed by what

you're like as a person but if you're really unsure then it does help to see

that. For example I did not realize how much I said 'like' and 'kind of' I say that

all the time and I've only really noticed in the last six months when I've

been subtitling my videos and doing those closed captions, it makes me

realize how annoying I am and how much I say those phrases! So until you really

start picking apart you're not going to know what you need to work on. Now I'm

going to explain how I go about talking about books and how I review books

online and then I'm going to give you some examples of lots of different

booktubers who have very different approaches but are equally successful in

their own way. The way I review books is that I'm very focused on the reader's

experience, the way I would explain it to someone is explaining what it will be

like for them reading, what to expect from the writing and how the story will take

them along. So for example if I was going to review the Handmaid's Tale by

Margaret Atwood I might say this is a tale of a dystopian not-too-distant

future, the book is from Offred's point of view who's a woman who is a handmaid

in this new society, we don't know her real name and the way the plot unfolds is

a mixture between her present situation and flashbacks to her pre-dystopian

life, so it's sort of multi-situational and we cross different time periods

before we work out what has been going on in this novel. If someone else were to

review this book they might really focus on the writing style they might really

focus on Offred as a character and whether they

liked her or not, other people might pick apart the themes and the layers and what

this book is trying to say. There's so many different ways of reviewing a book

and really I think the only advice I can give is what knowledge would you like to

know going into a book? Having read it what would you tell yourself before

you're about to read it? I did use to write down bullet points for what I

wanted to say in a book review before I filmed a video and just put down

everything that I thought because otherwise I thought I might forget

something. Now I just talk off the cuff because I'm very used to doing that and

I don't script my videos at all. What I normally do actually is sit down and say

my whole video through once just to a camera that's off so that I get an

idea in my head of where I want to go with the narrative of that video and just

gather my thoughts basically, and then I just film it. Not in one take obviously...

but I don't really feel like I need that script or bullet points written in front

of me anymore. Other people do completely scripted

videos and it's completely fine for you to do bullet points if that's something

you want to do. I find it works very well when you're doing educational videos or

if I do my videos on Shakespeare I definitely make a lot of notes before I

film those and someone like Rowan for example, Rowan Ellis, she does a lot of

very academic leaning videos and I know that she scripts her entire video, so

different styles work for different people. To give you some other ideas if

you don't watch these booktubers already on the other end of the spectrum is

Lauren from Lauren and the Books. Lauren is probably the most herself

person on YouTube that I think I've ever seen she's very, very good at just

speaking in one take almost and not stumbling over her words or if she does

it's fine she carries on. She's just bubbling full of personality and you can

feel it through the screen and she, I doubt that she scripts, I know that she

used to write notes about books I'm not sure that she does that anymore but

I know she definitely did when I first started watching her. Somebody else I

really enjoy with a very different style is David at The Poptimist.

David doesn't subscribe to the 'here's a whole book haul that I've done, these are

all the books I've read recently', what he does is just wait until he finds a book

that he really enjoys and then does a single video on that, so all of his

videos are single reviews and they're between three and maybe six minutes long

I really enjoy this style because it means that

each video I know it's going to be a book that he's really enjoyed it's going

to be a great recommendation or it's going to be a very interesting

discussion about that book. He's very calm and measured in his videos and then

he juxtaposes this with funny memes and pictures and gifs in the corner

of his video which I really enjoy and I find that very funny and then a third

person who is also very different is Anna James at A Case for Books now she

rarely is in her videos herself she often does stop-motion videos with

the books and because she's worked as a freelance journalist she has this way of

describing books which is very much like a tagline that something you would see

on the back of the book or if you were trying to promote it in a magazine, she's

got that knack of explaining books in that way, which is very different again

to how I would explain a book and her videos are absolutely beautiful. So there

really is a booktuber for everybody and you can do whatever style you want to do

I'm not going to stop saying it - there's no right way to do it! All of us come to

books with very different backgrounds, some people are writers themselves, some

people work in publishing, some people just read as a hobby and because of that

everybody's going to have a very different approach to reading, enjoying

books and also a different way of describing them to other people. What I

find quite interesting is that I watch such a wide range of booktubers and

youtubers, all of them are very different to me and I don't necessarily feel

pressured to be like them in my videos. You can appreciate that someone's very

loud and very funny and then know that that's not you or that someone's very

quiet and softly spoken and equally know that you're - your hands are too

crazy to be that kind of booktuber! So don't worry about trying to emulate

anyone specifically and again this is why I can't really give very tailored

advice because you are going to be a very different type of booktuber to what I am

probably and that's perfect, everyone needs to be going on their own path. So I

really hope that this is helpful, my next video in this series is going to be on

editing please leave any other questions that you have about the YouTube -

booktube process or any other behind-the-scenes questions that you may

have that I haven't answered in this video and I will see you next time, bye!

- (FBE) Today, we're gonna have you taste

a few different Filipino vegetables. - Let's go.

Yes. We're from the Philippines.

- I'm kind of nervous and kind of exciting.

- I'm Filipina.

I might have tasted some of the vegetables.

- (FBE) All these veggies may not have originated

in the Philippines, but are all commonly used

in Filipino cuisine and were prepared

at a local Filipino restaurant. - Sounds good.

- The Filipino snacks were okay.

But then the vegetables, I don't know

because I've never had Filipino vegetables.

- I'm pretty excited, but I'm like, "What's it gonna be?

Which one's it gonna be?"

- (FBE) Here is your first vegetable.

We have a cooked version, and a raw version for you.

- It looks like a pumpkin.

- It looks like a watermelon.

- This kind of looks like a pumpkin a little,

like a green pumpkin or like a watermelon.

- It tastes like a tomato,

and it's smooth like a potato.

- It tastes like mashed potatoes,

and I like how there's this stuff down here.

Like this sauce, it's really good.

- The texture and the flavor tastes a bit like a potato.

- The taste, it's like sweet potatoes,

and it's like you put a bunch of spices on it.

- (FBE) This is kalabasa.

It is a large winter squash that resembles a pumpkin

and is typically grown in the West Indies

and tropical America.

The meal you tried is called ginataang gulay.

- "Gulay." I tried that before.

- I've seen what it looks like and tasted it

- That was really good.

That was amazing, actually.

- It's like an eggplant or something?

- It looks like an eggplant.

And it's squishy. I don't like it.

- Hmmm.

Kind of a little sour.

I'm kind of tasting a teeny-- a small bit of pickle.

- It's a weird taste.

Kind of tastes like raw fish.

- It tastes worse than I thought it would be.

I thought it was sweet.

- It tastes like you know when you finish a popsicle?

It tastes like the popsicle stick.

- It's very squishy.

It's not like mashed potato squishy.

It's more like tender squishy.

- (FBE) That was a Filipino eggplant.

It is longer and thinner than American eggplants

and it almost looks like a purple cucumber.

The dish is called pinakbet, which also includes

vegetables like okra and bitter melon.

It tastes super good.

I like the different kinds of vegetables.

- Made out of leaves!

- This looks like a normal plant.

It looks like it could do zero harm

and then you get this.

- That looks, uh, very disgusting.

- I'm a little bit more on the scared side of this one.

That is an interesting taste.

It's actually not bad, but the first one

- This looks so gross.

I am serious.

It sounds more gross than it looks.

The picture shows you what it looks like

before it is dried, which is how the leaf

- That's crazy.

I never-- I didn't even taste any coconut milk.

- You guys just ruined coconut milk for me.

- (FBE) Here is your last veggie, and a picture of the raw version.

- What is that?

- It looks like a mushroom.

- It looks like a really, really, really, really dried onion.

- I like it.

I like the crunchy stuff with it because it tastes like carrots.

- I'm scared.

I like the flavor and I like how it's kind of crunchy.

- I taste soy sauce. I love soy sauce.

- I actually kind of like this one.

It's kind of hard on the outside,

but then it's really soft and nice on the inside.

- (FBE) That dish is called labong.

It is made of bamboo shoots peeled and sliced into thin pieces.

We have a picture because they are sold

in various processed shapes and are only available

in fresh, dried, or canned versions.

- What?

I'm eating bamboo?

- How is that a bamboo shoot?!

Bamboo's what pandas eat, and it's all straight

and it's like...

- I would try this again.

It's good. It's really good.

- (FBE) So which vegetable or meal

would you recommend people eat?

- I would recommend people eating the beans,

the string beans.

- The Filipino eggplant.

- Bamboo shoot.

- The bamboo shoot.

- I'd recommend the bamboo shoot.

- I would recommend the bamboo shoot

because it tastes really good!

- I would recommend the labong.

It was an experience, I'll just say that.
