We're engineering a mind, so should you | Reuben John | TEDxManipalUniversity (REMASTERED) - Duration: 14:13.

This video is the enhanced remastered cut of the original available on the official TEDx channel.

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic"

put another way technology that empowers us today

make us and gods in the eyes of our ancestors but there's still that one

little thing we haven't got color you see God created man in his own image

can we create machine that can think and live and feel like we it's called the

singularity the point where artificial intelligence in a computer reaches that human

level intelligence. AI or artificial general intelligence is that currently

hypothetical machine that can perform any task the a human can and it isn't a new concept

we've known about you for at least the 1950s and it still remains unsolved or

sixty years later today and the thing is what we do know is that

if you solve it it will be one of the biggest important technology for the

missions you've ever seen so the interesting question now is haha

have become so whatever I shall try and do now is what's essentially summarizing

in decades of progress with meaning the free action you see in the beginning

when computing systems first came into play even for the first time able to

describe to a computer how to perform a task we did this by taking on the task

and breaking it down into a set of simple construction of their computer in

water and this although lead to the software evolution it still leaves us far

from actually giving us a step closer to AGI and what we know the hard way is that

although there's a whole class of problems

which we find trivial, it's extremely difficult to break it down into a set of

intuitive idea that you can elaborate to a computer for instance determining if that

cat is hungry. Does it look hungry? Guys humans are supposed to be intelligent

does that cat look hungry? What about this one yeah so it's

something about that picture because the remember it's just an arrangement of pixels on a screen

pixels are on a screen and yet there is a mathematical relationship between

that picture and the hungriness of a cap and the thing is that there's no way we

could have figured out what that relationship is because the relationship

is a whole stack of formulas it's ... I literally printed it out it's a 10 page

formula and there's no way a human could have figured that out and that's where

machine learning because it because machine learning philosophy rather than

trying to break down tasks into every gas in it every doesn't break it down

into a set of instruction you can follow, why not instead put your effort

to describe to the computer one task, the task how to learn those rules

from examples besides that's how we as humans have been learning for a long

time and this particular machine learning called artificial neural

networks which has shown some amazing results recently the what's special

about them is that they're inspired the health of new neurons in a brain works

and the thing is we're now starting to be able to replicate more and more parts

of the human brain and this is essentially biomimicry through the

creation who mind so for example we've been able to have to get the visual

cortex enough to be able to find cases where these as rules I'm not starting to

beat us at a growing number of cases like not all of us figure out that's a

trap and we will be distracted by all the people and not notice the reals and

these are the actual image for we will give to the algorithms and so we even

being able to go on to other parts of the brain like the auditory cortex

responsible speech recognition and speech synthesis the 1980 American

romance and adventure film directed by Randal Kleiser

that was not a human record words that was the result of yeah learned to mimic

human ways just by looking at the raw audio waveforms to sounds we make and

the thing is even in 2014 there was a jackpot there was

being able to read to convince 30% of the judges that it was human

when masquerading as taking your own Ukrainian boy and isn't going to work

fundamental parts of the brain like the humanism rewards as responsible for

things like your desires in your motivations and by training air systems

by getting them inherently to be addicted to the words and very rewarding

and polite behavior we are not able to train them to be able to beat us at

improving number of tasks in ordering hand-eye coordination you are soliciting

puzzles and it's just growing so all this is just the tip of the iceberg

trust me there's a whole lot going on over here

it just can't be fit into a guitar but we're starting to divide and conquer

more and more parts of the human brain but we still far from creating that one

single system that can learn to perform any task every task that a human can

they're not good at a specific job that we can perform not everything so the

thing is the reason for that is when you're trying to mimic something is

perfect the human brain it was created by evolution in child who has whose many

years ahead of us and millions of years of evolution has resulted in this

amazingly complex I didn't father saying that we were suddenly given the solution

EDI chances are we won't understand it will

be simply too elaborate and complex just as rules for determining gatherings and

that just like me were just like me for machine learning our lives to be able to

learn the rules so gets us pretty close to 80 I wonder what step and get machine

learning algorithms to learn the task it is and remember general intelligence

itself is the task of learning to perform tasks

so in essence create a machine learning algorithm capable of learning how to

learn and this has resulted you know work class new types of algorithms

there's God has yourself dissolving idiot and that's

where we stand today so now you know what it means and hopefully you've got

some idea where we stand today in this amazing problem but from my brushless

extraordinary field something else I got so at home in idea that kept give us the

opportunity to have a profound impact on our lives starting today you can see

something you can see is to be and I know this because just two years ago

including a new board AI all I knew about AI was what you'd see in Hollywood

and what happened to being three just three years ago now is I saw teens come

together the team of individuals with diverse success passions for mechanics

electronics to to computer science and things it had what happened on earth was

the common inspiration when Hollywood's portrayal of AI and the comment now you

believe that the only thing stopping us is not right so we just pulled in a

bunch of our pocket money and it started with the intelligence level for

cockroach and we started moving on to more and bigger problems to the point we

maybe started tackling problems for which solutions don't exist in books yet

because what happened is we even I guess our national well it's contagious

because we started building the global network sponsors and today I'd like to

introduce you for the first time what I think may be the only sending autonomous

car with sufficiently by undergraduates and me Eve as of just last week she's

capable level two

so what I wanna share is what it is that inspired us that took us to every day of

this amazing journey and maybe you can lead to a journey like that to you it

was time for two things I learned two things that I recognized that I think

you can only recognize when you actually get into the field one is that we are

extremely lucky to be at this point right now where there's been many

numerous different driving factors that actually very suddenly happen to happen

in our generation and for example one of the driving factors is that you're not

starting to create new types of processors that are capable of that

would be for the ground up or modern machine many others and the thing is

it's allowed even people like me to build and assemble my own homemade

supercomputer built for AI and it's not like it cost that much because of modern

technology it's even possibly gonna allow us to actually power the very

hungry meta learning algorithms that are not too practical as of today the second

thing is this this field has been unusually no prerequisite knowledge for

example and this has allowed one of our members of the team to make the best

research paper rewards right one of the most prestigious international

publishers and aside from that if the unusually high degree of open sourcing

in the field because today you can actually build on top of the same

software will like multi-billion dollar software companies and all of this has

driven what I think is the most important factor is experimentation

because what happened is just a few recently I had a hunch

just a hunch that you can measure creativity by measuring the lack of

boredom which you can approximate

predictability and within literally six hours I was able to get a bunch of us to

learn polka dots creativity and unique to one another and another thing is that

some of the most impressive Valley isn't of you I actually started off seeming

very contrary event reporting on stupidity for example who they guess

they're just do anything and killing neurons in an artificial neural network

actually increases the performance and robustness of these networks and that

brings me to the second it's that this field is not only an amazing opportunity

for us it's also an even bigger opportunity for me - because then

there's this unique interaction between easier in the mind of a child

my meanness to compensate for the lack knowing anything about the world the

mind of a child is actually one evolutions most powerful learning

systems so thing is they have this very peculiar properties for instance they

have twice the number of neurons as an adult brain they are capable of to a

very high degree and acting and being perceptive to come to very new idea that

change their entire belief systems because they're not they don't have to

drive decades of knowledge they can live unbiased when they connect is a

knowledge which or are the ideal properties I feel of her research it's

just that unfortunately modern sciences have progressed so far that by the time

the amazing minds aren't able to be inherent so much access to knowledge

they are no longer that adorable so the thing is with each yet this low

prerequisite knowledge has allowed us since a long time to once again

deploy evolutions best researchers to the most important research of ATI and

all this is relieving to me because if because remember each

comes to the potential some the greatest in our lifetime so comes the potential

for the most evil in their own ass because it's one of the most powerful

technologies we go except this time you should get your destruction isn't going

to work like it did with nuclear weapons because this time the weapon itself can

have a mind of its own so and the thing is more mega hands to

trust with the creation of these powerful technologies in the hands of

your own all I could show you was a glimpse of amazing things that I've seen

and that's inspired me and hopefully will inspire you because the right

choices I think you're you can watching yourself in the midst of creating a life

that you think live like we if if nothing else it's trading mind it's just

So, apparently Jennifer Lawrence and Rob Kardashian have been dating

No, she's not katching up on kopious episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, (well, she could be, she won't WhatsApp me back to confirm).

OK! Magazine reports that she's keeping up with a certain Rob Kardashian instead.

Apparently, the two briefly met in passing in which Jennifer thought he was "sort of cute.

So when Kris approached her about taking Rob out, Jen figured, 'Why not?'.

After a few long phone calls and coffee dates and lunches, Jen is pleasantly surprised!".

As for Rob, the feeling is mutual:.

He's always gone for the bad girls, so Jen is a complete breath of fresh air.

Nice shady source there, having a dig at a certain Blac Chyna perhaps? It would be rude to speculate ….

Despite seemingly being super pal-y with Kim K, Jennifer recently said the friendship was "one-sided".

However, she's still a fan.

They are smart, grounded and normal and funny.

They're very nice people, [they're] very close, [they have a] loyal bond with one another, which I think is a positive thing to put out into the world.".

"They've been absolutely lovely to me," Lawrence added.

Hillary Email Probe Is Taking Too Long, So The FBI Makes A Swift Power Play - Duration: 2:25.

Hillary Email Probe Is Taking Too Long, So The FBI Makes A Swift Power Play

It has been four months since House Oversight Chairman Trey Gowdy demanded results.

The Hillary Clinton email scandal has been under investigation seemingly forever and

thus far, the FBI has delivered no answers.

This lack of progress resulted in a very bold reminder last week:

House Judiciary Chairman Rep. Bob Goodlatte sent a subpoena to the Justice Department

for documents related to Clinton's private email server.

They're tired of waiting and they want to get things done.

And the American people deserve answers!Well, the FBI simply can't ignore this subpoena

and so, they're stepping up.

Big time.

FBI Director Christopher Wray said this week that he plans to double the number of FBI

staff to handle Goodlatte's request, which also includes an inquiry into the Justice

Department's alleged bias.

Said Wray:

"Up until today, we have dedicated 27 FBI staff to review the records that are potentially

responsive to Chairman Goodlatte's requests.

The actual number of documents responsive to this request is likely in the thousands."Now,

that staff will be increased to 54 and Wray added that the doubled team "will work two

shifts per day from 8 a.m. to midnight" in order to expedite the process.

He finished:

"I agree that the current pace of production is too slow.

As the Director of the FBI, I am committed to ensuring that the Bureau is being transparent

and responsive to legitimate congressional requests."Remember, it has been a full four

months since Goodlatte and Gowdy said they wanted these documents, and obviously, nothing

is happening.

What exactly is Hillary guilty of?

And did a major branch of the American government abuse the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance

Act (FISA)?

These are questions that need answers and if it requires double the manpower and time,

so be it.

We've always known the gears of government turn more slowly than just about anything

on earth but really, now's the time to step up and make things happen!

Good Friday? Doesn't Seem So Good to Me... - Duration: 8:42.

My morning started off by realizing that Faith Wrestle Friday did not post I

scheduled them for 5:00 a.m. because I had I had two pre-recorded I was gonna

film maybe today and I had one on Pharaoh today Hi Kelly

and next week is Moses because I'm being stalked by Exodus there was about two

weeks there that I was being stalked by Exodus so Faith Wrestle Friday didn't

post and I supposedly have a low connection Hi Carissa Hi Betty

so of course during my prayer and scripture time and I in my prayer

call this morning with my team and I work out to worship music it's Good

Friday and God was like nope you're gonna go live today so my first Faith

Wrestle Friday I already have tears in my eyes I'm nervous

This has actually been a topic with Chad and I for a while so if you don't know

my faith testimony you can go back to the YouTube channel and watch it but and

where I am now I'm really like I even just met with my friend Christine I was

like it's all about the loving father the loving father like God is perfect

and his love is perfect and it's all about the loving father it all goes back

to that even being stalked by Exodus which you'll see in the next two weeks

and Faith Wrestle Friday because it will post I it's all about the loving father

and today is Good Friday today Jesus dies on the cross for us and he is

beaten and he is ridiculed and he is I mean it's just like the worst thing ever

if you've ever seen the Passion of the Christ it will stop you forever I think

I have PTSD from it and yet it's so important to watch it if you were a

Christian and a Christ follower but the thing that I struggle with and I think a

lot of people maybe even early in their faith or maybe even in their faith is

what do we always know we know John 3:16 I'm gonna read it so I don't screw it up

even though it's like the most quoted scripture ever at football games and

everything but so I'm in The Voice, "For God expressed his love for the world in

this way: He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not face

everlasting destruction but will have ever lasting life." And I think what can

be so confusing for some people is that what kind of loving father sends his son

to suffer as he did suffer he did and I know for me when I was like really early

in this faith walk my mother-in-law who is just one of the most faithful women

ever she helped me to really wrap my brain around three-in-one, the Trinity,

and at church you know it's 'The Genius of One' and our brains are just not

equipped to get it really like we're not it's

that's why it's called faith we're not really supposed to understand this three-

in-one and so my mother-in-law she was like here's something that will maybe

help you Father, Son, Holy Spirit, three in one, like water, steam, ice, and water

it can be liquid and it would just kind of help me wrap my brain around like

this three-in-one and when I think it comes to Good Friday and I think a lot

of us who really struggle with the idea of a perfect loving father who we don't

really owe anything to we simply just must lay it all down and surrender

because he did give His one and only Son to die for our sins and to give us peace

and love and mercy in this beautiful life that he has for us like John 3:16

says I think a lot of us get tripped up on what kind of loving father does that

and so I've often have to repeat like I repeat to myself like Jesus is God like

God entered the story he became man he suffered for us and yes it is his son and

that's so [blows lips] like so mind-blowing how do you wrap your mind around that and so weeks

ago I had written Philippians 2:6 to 8 in my

God journal so this is my God journal Faith Wrestle Friday I have like 30

ideas I haven't recorded yet it's weird but today when I panicked and um was

praying that I had to do Faith Wrestle Friday live I did a quick search because

I didn't feel prepared and I was like okay God became flesh God became man and

so I also pulled up John 1:14 and in The Voice it says, "The voice took on flesh

and became human and chose to live alongside us." I say it in my Bible app

reading plans and things like that like perhaps he walked it first, this

'Permission of the And' like Jesus walked this life he knows what it's like to be

angry and to struggle and to suffer and to feel alone he took breaks and took

care of himself he turned to his father he says in the garden like "Take this cup,

I want to do this" and he does it anyways he surrenders and yep I think we have to

remember and we have to share the gospel that Jesus is God that it is God that

entered this story it is God that suffered - it is a son and God and it's

so confusing and I think that's the point isn't that just another piece that

we must lay down and trust him with because when we enter into that

relationship with him we will be able to understand it more so the ultimate

scripture that brought this to me was um on this one I had to mark all my pages

cuz I felt really overwhelmed so Philippians 2:6 through 8, "Though he was

in the form of God, he chose not to cling to the equality with God [because he was

man], but he poured himself out to fill a vessel brand new, a servant in form, and a

man indeed. The very likeness of humanity he humbled himself, obedient to death,

a mercless, a merciless death on the cross."

it's so complicated and yet so simple God entered the story he sent his one

and only Son to suffer for us on the cross

and his son is him and Jesus was human and divine and he struggled just like we

do and he surrendered to his father's perfect love and said your will not

mine

I shared it earlier this week see Christians don't say that yeah they do

Jesus looked at the cross and then he looked at us and he said you're worth it

and if we don't remind ourselves that Jesus is God and our perfect loving

father we get trupped- tripped up in the shit of this world that keeps us from

walking into the loving embrace of our loving father Happy Good Friday okay I'm

done crying cuz Sunday's coming we have to look at today with the lens that

Sunday's coming so I'll answer your comments not live Sunday's coming make it

a great day

HOW TO UNLOCK THE BRAKE CALIPER TO THE MTB DISC - Duration: 3:51.

Hi guys, I'm Lory Bart, today let's see how to get rid of a hydraulic disc brake.

More than purge, remove excess oil because it can happen during

the winter break, the bicycle brake increases pressure

and so we find this problem like the brake lever with very little travel

and the wheel

completely blocked and does not turn.

What this problem is due to is created inside

of the braking system circuit a pressure that goes to close let's say the tablets

brake so as to lock the wheel. How we do it

solve this problem? it is very simple to act on the bleed adjusting screw, we have to remove the oil in

excess in the circuit let's see how to do it. for example in this braking system

of the Formula we have a bleeding screw like this

And we find another at the bottom of the brake caliper here

to do this you need a torx key after it depends on the type of brake and

it will change size so before buying verified what kind of

Needed tork screwdriver to do this purge first we take some paper and the key

naturally.

We're going to put the paper under the screw

Avoid letting oil over the parts that brakes or on the brake disc.

let's unscrew

Slightly trying to remove the oil one drop at a time

This way

Here and close immediately.

The oil to be removed is very little I recommend this operation is to be done several times depending on the need

Now try again if the wheel turns freely but is still locked then repeat the operation

Richiudiamo

This is the oil that we have removed so very little, try again

Here's how you can see the wheel and free is no longer locked as before

And the brake lever is back. In its right run

you see

So it was no longer blocked as it was before but now it has its run like the other equal brake

Which was free. So it was a very simple operation but I recommend it

always do it several times and let out very little oil because otherwise

you risk getting too much oil out and after the lever

Brake and arrive at the end of the race and after

We need to add oil because we have removed too much, so we go to trials a little at a time

Until we find the freewheel. I hope to have been of help also in this tutorial write in the comments if you have any doubt

I recommend you put a like and subscribe to my channel. Hi guys at the next video!

I wanted to wish you all a happy Easter is a good Easter. At Pasquetta I recommend everyone by bike and dispose of the dove!

Five reasons why this is the best Far Cry game so far! - Far Cry 5 - Duration: 11:23.

What's up guys, Rogue-9 here! As those of you who caught my recent live streams know,

I have been having a ton fun playing Far Cry 5 and in this video, I want to share my thoughts

on some of the upgrades to the franchise that, in my eyes, make this game the best Far Cry

title yet! So let's get started! Since Far Cry Primal took a significant step

away from the rest of the series in terms of the style of the game and Far Cry 1 and

2 are by now so old that any comparison would be unfair, I will be comparing Far Cry 5 mainly

to number 3 and 4. And right out of the gate, there is a massive improvement in Far Cry

5 that for me personally is quite simply game changing.

If you had asked me some years ago "What would be the number one thing you would like

to see improved in the Far Cry 3 or even Far Cry 4?" I would have answered: "The shooting!"

Previous Far Cry titles always used to detect hits using the "hit scan" method.

So your bullets instantly hit whatever you're aiming at, as soon as you hit the fire button.

And while this method can work for games that play out at extremely short ranges, like for

instance Rainbow Six Siege, I really didn't like it in an open world game. Add to this

the fact that combat distances were artificially limited by having bullet simply disappear

in mid-air if you were too far away from your target and you ended up with gunplay that

was so limited that it became kind of immersion breaking.

But "Good news everyone!", with Far Cry 5, Ubisoft have finally implemented ballistic

modelling and now every gun will shoot simulated bullets that come with a certain muzzle velocity

and experience air resistance and gravitational drop. For the first time, it is possible to

have longer range gunfights and the added challenge of having to lead a moving target

at range and compensate for bullet drop makes every hit infinitely more satisfying.

I am kind of surprised that not more people are applauding this subtle, yet hugely significant update.

If this was the only change compared to previous games, I would already be satisfied,

but it doesn't stop there! One of the concerns that many people raised

during my live streams was around the performance problems that specifically Far Cry 4 had had,

especially on PC. Now keep in mind that I have a relatively beefy PC but I can say that

for me, Far Cry 5 runs like an absolute dream. I have all the settings ramped up to the highest

possible setting at a resolution of 1440p and I am still getting between 93-and 96 FPS

while in game. For a predominantly single player game that is all I could ask for and

more and while I am speaking of graphics performance, I have to add that the game looks absolutely gorgeous.

Simply trekking through the Montana countryside, hunting & fishing is an absolute

joy for me and I can play this game for hours at a time without doing a single story mission.

Over to my next point: Far Cry 4 had specific missions where you fought alongside NPC companions

and maybe Far Cry 3 had something like that in a limited form as well (I don't even

remember at this stage) but Far Cry 5 again takes what came before and ramps it up another notch.

You can unlock a total of 9 hero companions plus 3 generic civilian NPCs to fight alongside

you and each one comes with two specific skills that can help you in your quests. A simple,

yet effective, command system allows you to control these companions and one of the best

features of having some support is that when you mess up and get downed (whether it is

through enemy fire or from opening your parachute a little bit too late) your companions will

do their best to come and revive you. Far Cry 4 set a precedent by allowing two

player co-op for side quests and number 5 again takes this one step further by allowing

you to also play the main missions with a friend. Whether you end up coordinating with

your friend to execute bad-ass synchronised shots or melee takedowns or you go in all

guns blazing, playing with two players makes this game easily twice as fun. The only downside

here is that while the second player can still earn cash and perk points to progress their

character, any progress in the main or even the side missions will count only for the host.

The previous "skill tree" style progression

system has been replaced with an extensive perk point system and you can gain these points

by completing story missions, side quests, finding them in world or by completing challenges.

The excellent hand-to-hand combat, climbing, parachuting and wing-suit mechanics are all

still present as unlockable perks and allow you to take your character from regular, fragile,

squishy person to over-the-top super hero as you progress through the game.

And beyond these major changes, the game comes with a whole host of subtle little upgrades

that I personally really appreciate. Firstly, everything you find in the game:

from main missions and side quests, to prepper staches, hunting regions, fish habitats, garages,

boat yards, heli pads or plane hangars, all of these things are added to your map and

journal by speaking to local residents, finding maps & magazines or reading street signs,

I mean look at this here! I've found a magazine on the natural plants of northern America

and that has actually updated my map with certain regions where I can find those plants

and the same goes for hunting magazines. This organic way of gaining knowledge of the area

you're in, the people you can meet and the quests you can go on may only be a small little

detail but I absolutely love it. Then you have the hunting and fishing activities

in and of itself. Of course, Far Cry is not a dedicated hunting or fishing sim but I do

appreciate the thought that has gone into refining the hunting mechanics and adding

the fishing into the game. Something that many players may not even notice is that in

previous games, shooting animals was very arcady in that they simply took varying levels

of damage depending on head or body shots but once you did enough damage, they would

simply fall over. Now, animals will react completely differently to clean heart and

lung shots. As you can see, deer for instance will exhibit a very characteristic jump and

kick reaction when shot through the heart and if you follow them up, you will find relatively

realistic blood trails and eventually the animal will run out of steam and go unconscious.

Those of you who have played dedicated hunting sims or even hunt in real life will recognise

and appreciate these little behaviours and I have to say that I am overall impressed

with the level of care that was taken over portraying the natural behaviours of the wildlife.

Maybe in future we can see these mechanics progress even more. I would absolutely love

it if Far Cry would include truly refined hunting and fishing mechanics, on par with

dedicated sims, but until then I am very happy with the progress that has been made so far.

Another set of details that is truly commendable is the way that the guns are modelled. Not

only do the guns looks stunning, with beautiful fire and reload animations but care was even

taken over making sure that for instance open bolt weapons are actually shown to work correctly.

Something that maybe should be standard by now but many other games from recent times

did not bother getting right. Vehicles are of course still present in the

game and are very similar to previous entries in the series. Helicopters are a dream to

fly and instead of the simply having access to ultra-light buzzers, you can now pick from

a selection of armed or unarmed choppers. Armed and unarmed land and water based vehicles

are also included and handle just about as well as they always used to. I know that some

people don't particularly like the driving in Far Cry games but I don't mind it (maybe

because I am used to it by now) and driving a jeep, while a friend operates a mounted

M2 .50 cal is just as awesome as ever. Another subtle upgrade that can be easily

overlooked is that when playing in co-op, your partner can now ride on any part of your

vehicle without the normal jittering and sliding off we are so used to seeing. Providing several

seats in vehicles, that multiple players can occupy, is quite common in many games nowadays

but being able to ride in the front of a boat or in the bed of a truck without sliding and

juddering off, is an awesome update. Is it realistic? Absolutely not! You can ride on

the roof of a car while your buddy slams into oncoming traffic at full speed and you will

still be safe and unharmed. But given the choice between glitching around and falling

off and being glued on in an unrealistic manner, I would definitely choose the second option.

Beside this, the only significant change in the vehicle department is the addition of planes.

I don't mind that they have been added and flying them, even with mouse and

keyboard, works just about well enough but I would have been just as happy without planes

in the game. For me, they are a bit too arcady and given the lack of suitable runways, I

think that people will bail out rather than landing most of the time. Helicopters are

just far more practical and I don't really think that planes work for a game like this.

Adding joystick compatibility for PCs may sway my mind slightly but overall, I still

don't think that planes will ever play a big part for me in this game.

I guess the story is also worth mentioning but I have only played through part of it

so far. What I can say until now is that I am satisfied with the setting and the split

between three different main regions. I've seen some journalists complain that the game

doesn't do enough to provide a commentary on current social issues in America but I

personally don't get that argument. I believe that the game is quite vague about the fictional

cult that you are fighting on purpose in order to avoid causing offence and I don't mind that.

It's almost a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" case where people

were pre-emptively offended pre-launch but now that the game is out, game critics seem

disappointed that it's not offensive enough. I guess you can't please everyone but for

me, as far as I have played for now, the story is providing a perfectly suitable backdrop

and counterpoint to the silly, over-the-top fun that lies at the core of the game.

So the bottom line for me is that as a big fan of the Far Cry series, Far Cry 5 is the

best one yet. I really appreciate all of the little details, like natural animal behaviours,

beautiful scenery and neat world discovery mechanics but most importantly of all: switching

from a limited "hit scan" shooting mechanic to ballistics modelling and increased range

for all of the different types of weapons has in my eyes, made this game a pure joy to experience.

Have you had a chance to dive into Hope County yet?

What are your thoughts on the game so far and are there any improvements I forgot to list?
