Youtube daily an Dec 28 2018

Today, we're going to open the case of an HP Pavilion model 690-0024. This Ryzen 5-based

gaming desktop is compact in size, but we'll see if it has some room for

upgradeability. I'll dismantle the case and the inner cage to assess how much

you can upgrade in terms of processor, graphics card, memory, and storage. On

paper, the HP contains an AMD Ryzen 5 2400G running at 3.6 GHz, with 8 GB

of DDR4 memory running at 2666 MHz. It includes an AMD Radeon

RX 580 graphics card and three drives: a 128 GB SSD, a 1TB hard

drive, and a DVD/CD burner. The case itself is black brushed metal with green

LED highlights, and it's really compact. It measures approximately 13.5"

by 6.75" wide by 10.75" deep, which means there's not a

lot of room in there. So I'm curious how upgradeable this system really is. Let's

open the case and find out. The tools you need are a flathead or Torx screwdriver,

an old credit card or gift card, and finally an ESD strap or ESD mat if you

plan to touch any of the electronics inside. The first thing you'll need to do

is remove the single screw that secures the cover. You can use either a flathead

or Phillips head screwdriver, so I'll just use my flathead bit. The screw

itself isn't meant to be detached from the cover so you can leave it in place

after loosening it. Let's then remove the side panel and set it aside...

and take a look inside the case. At first glance, it looks very clean; the cables are well

organized. At this point, to avoid any electrostatic damage, I'll put on my ESD

wrist strap before touching any internal components.

To get to the memory, M.2 slot and the storage devices,

we'll need to remove the cage, which is held in place

by these four screws. They're a Torx- flathead hybrid so you can use either

screwdriver bit. I'll just switch over to my Torx bit to unscrew them.

When I try to slide the cage, there's some resistance, and that's because the

front bezel of the CD/DVD drive is preventing its removal. All you need to

do is take a plastic card, and wedge it in the spacing between the bezel and the

front cover. When you pry it, it'll pop right off. Here, you can see the tabs that

held it in place. The cage then simply slides off like this. Make sure not to

yank it off because there are plenty of cables attached. Peering inside the

case, there's the processor, which is an AMD Ryzen 5 2400G. It's an AM4 socket,

so you could upgrade to a Ryzen 7 2700 according to HP's website. HP has decided

to pair this APU - which has integrated Radeon RX Vega 11 graphics - with a

discreet graphics card: the AMD Radeon RX 580 with 4 GB of memory. Note that

if the graphics card ever breaks down, you won't be able to use the integrated

graphics anyways as the motherboard doesn't support it. It's a very short

card, so you'd need to find one with similar dimensions if you wanted to

upgrade it. There's a little more space toward the front of the case - but not

much. Keep in mind that the power supply is only 400 watts, so you'll need to

consider the power requirements of any graphics upgrade. There are two DIMM slots

for DDR4 memory, and one is already taken. That one is an 8 GB module. You can

add another one in the extra slot, or if you want to go large, it'll accept two

sticks of 16, for a total of 32 GB. Next to the memory is the M.2 SSD in its

slot. It's an NVMe SSD that's 128 GB, so it's not very large. You can

always upgrade the SSD to a larger capacity. Panning over to the expansion

slots, there's one single open PCIe slot, so you could possibly add an audio card.

The HP comes with a mechanical 1 TB hard drive as its secondary

drive, as well as a CD/DVD drive, both of which reside inside the cage. I'll go

ahead and remove the SATA power -

and the SATA data cable that's attached to the hard disk.

The disk itself is fastened to the cage by these four

screws, which again are the Torx-flathead hybrid - the same size as the cage screws I removed previously.

The disk will slip right out; it's a Western Digital Blue

running at 7200 RPM. You can swap this out with a larger hard drive or an SSD,

but keep in mind that HP stores its recovery partition there, so you'll want

to either make an image of that partition, or create a set of recovery

discs so you can get rid of that partition altogether. There's one more

SATA port on the motherboard, so you can add another hard drive or 2.5"

SSD if you want to expand your storage options. You can mount the

additional drive on the cage where a spare SATA power cable is conveniently within reach.

If it's a 2.5" disk, you may need an adapter to

mount it. Now all we need to do is reverse the steps to reassemble

everything back together. This is a very capable gaming machine that could see

some immediate benefits with some minor upgrades. Even in this compact space,

there are options to upgrade the computer, including its processor and

graphics card, but more easily, its memory and storage.

I hope you enjoyed - thanks for watching!

The royal mom-to-be headed over to her old pal, and the two shared a big hug.  Jess called the experience of briefly reconnecting with Meghan "an absolute dream

"  "I'm so glad I decided to watch Suits many years ago because it meant I discovered this kind-hearted, caring soul who I'd become to love so much," she wrote on Instagram along with images from the day

"Thank you for everything in the past couple years – I'll never forget it – from the conversations about social issues chatting to each other about your blog and your love for food

I love you always."  Meghan had to give up her personal social media accounts before officially becoming a royal

The former actress was an avid tweeter and posted regularly to her Instagram page

She also contributed to the social accounts for her former lifestyle blog, The Tig

Now that she's settling into her life as a duchess, she's found a new place for her social media skills: the Kensington Palace social accounts she and Prince Harry share with Prince William and Kate Middleton

During the newlyweds' royal tour this fall, Meghan snapped a sweet photo of her husband as they rehearsed their speeches for the Invictus Games' closing ceremony

In the striking black and white snapshot, Harry walks across the stage in a dark button-down shirt as he holds a microphone

"📷 The Duchess of Sussex," the tweet says in part, making it clear Meghan was the photographer

The photo marked the first image taken by Meghan that fans have been able to see since she deleted her Twitter and Instagram pages

How to be an influencer - Duration: 8:46.

(soft instrumental music)

- So we're gonna be talking about being an influencer.

We all have experience in that,

but you guys come from such diverse backgrounds,

and your influence is very different.

I know, you know you're on YouTube,

you're on the big billboards,

so you're influencing people in a very

a traditional way being in billboards.

And then we have Instagram, which is one of the new medias,

and then David is a former NFL star, so very different.

Do you guys want to tell us how you think of being

an influencer, cause I know for myself,

some people say you're an influencer?

What in the world is that?

What does that mean?

But what does it mean to you guys?

- I'll go first.

Okay, so I think that being an influencer can mean

so many different things because there's so many

different social media platforms.

You have people who are really powerful on podcasts,

you have YouTube, Instagram,

you have traditional media like TV, and movies.

So I think being an influencer can mean so many

different things, but for me it's using my Instagram

actually started as just like my personal Instagram.

I just was posting pictures,

sharing my fitness journey, and it kind of evolved

into my platform and my business,

and now for me it's somewhere where I can share my life

and get people interested in the way that I live my life,

and I'm being influential by just

being authentically myself.

So that way people want to know like what's so great about

being plant based and being fit and healthy.

- And they can see you as an example of all those things.

- Exactly.

- Wonderful.

- Yeah, so for me.

Yeah that's great.

It's great that you're using your Instagram

and your voice to speak out against dairy

and speak up for animals and get people inspired to

body build or be healthy and fit with plants.

So that's awesome.

For me, what I love about being an influencer

when it comes to speaking out against the dairy industry

or speaking for plant based alternatives to dairy.

It doesn't just mean influencing.

It actually in this movement means having courage

because it actually does take a lot of courage to speak up

and speak out against big dairy

and even just the act of saying drink almond milk instead.

Even that takes courage because like so many of the people

who have been up here today speaking have said.

This is a huge industry.

We're not only doing something small here.

We're all getting together going up against a beast,

a giant beast, a cruel beast, a disease creating beast.

So being an influencer, whether it's connecting to wifi

and sharing a status or making a video

or making an Instagram post and doing a hashtag

I drink almond drink or Switch4Good.

You have to be brave.

So, yeah.

- Very true

- [Crowd Member] Pumping us up.

- Yeah let's get pumped up.

- So much passion - Yeah

- Yeah, being an influencer is like you said

takes a lot of courage.

You have to meet people where they are,

you can't, like, scare people in the doctor,

you can't, scare people into going plant based.

You have to, being an influencer, you use your voice

and use your social media

but you also have to activate people with experience.

Right, so like creating experiences.

What we're doing here at this event.

We have everybody here to organize

and go out and create other activations

and so on and so forth.

When you create activations, you create experience

and when you create an experience

than you leave something long lasting with an individual

that will make them want to take that small step

into a plant based lifestyle.

So being an influencer, like you said

it's a multi pronged approach.

It's social media and you have your digital aspect,

your physical aspect.

All these different ways to be an influencer.

- What do you think is a good way to get started?

So we have a lot of athletes in the room

and you know just being an athlete, you are an influencer

but wouldn't, we're talking about utilizing

all these other platforms that you could use.

What do you think is a good way to just start?

Outside of already being an athlete

so maybe doing your Instagram or starting an organization

or YouTube channel or whatever.

- I would say that you want to start with something

that you think is fun because if you don't like it

you're not gonna stick with it

so maybe you enjoy making videos or taking photos

and doing Instagram posts or writing blogs

or talking over podcasts.

So deciding which type of media is good for you

is definitely where to start

and then from there just sharing your experience.

Like athletes, everybody wants to know how athletes train.

They want to know what you're eating to perform,

so that's just a great way to be like

I'm about to go to training this is my pre-workout meal.

Everybody is interested in that

and even without saying I'm vegan

and just showing what you eat for your training

is going to peak interest in it.

So, just starting there just being authentically yourself,

not trying to replicate what other people are doing

because people want to connect with you,

they want to see the authentic you.

So, I think that once you decide

what type of media you want to make

and then to just remember to be yourself.

I think that's pretty much the starting point.

- You guys have any others for how to get started

when you're an athlete as another type of influencer?

- Yeah, just being yourself

because people are looking for direction

and like she said earlier the best thing you can do,

people are always just always best at being themselves.

Show how you're taking that step by step

and how you're making these changes in your life.

Cutting out meat, cutting out dairy in creative ways.

Everybody's path is different.

I went plant based overnight but when I talk about it

and I'm speaking about it.

I tell people to, you know.

Take your time, it's a journey.

It's not going to be like a right overnight type of thing

for most people, that's just impossible dam near.

You just figure out how to do it

but being yourself and being that example

and allowing people to look at you

and see what you're doing

and add that into there way of life.

- Yeah, I agree

and I like what you said about being yourself.

What I really like about what I've seen so far today

and we're only on day one is

when people are up here speaking

and even the videos we watched,

is everyone's personality really shines through

when they are talking about this subject.

I mean any subject but this one in particular

and I think being an influencer it's so important

to not dim your personality out.

I know like when you're on stage

or when you're an interview.

You wanna keep like sorta neutral or professional,

I really disagree and I think the reason that

some activism in this realm has been so successful

is when we just like really don't sensor our personality

and share who we are because when people can really see

who we are and that we're actually people

who care about the people

and people who care about the animals

and people who care about the planet.

That's when people are gonna go

okay, I'm not just trying almond milk

because this person has this sponsorship from

like an almond milk company.

I'm gonna try almond milk

because this person is like really cares about this cause

and really wants to influence me because it matters

and it's who they are like it's who we are

to care about people, to care about animals

and to care about the planet.

- I just love everything that you guys are saying about how

it really is about being yourself

and being unapologetically yourself

and like the passion that you show when you talk.

I think it's just so important to, like you said.

Really realize what you like to do,

what's most fun to you, what are your strengths,

what are you gonna stick with.

And start doing that and also.

I mean, I guess this is all influency talk

but I think it was Rich Roll who said before.

How you just have to stick with it.

So even if you don't have a million followers,

even if you just have 50 or whatever.

Just think about the individual people that you're affecting

and understand that we're all influencers.

Whether we get paid for it,

whether you have a bunch of followers,

just by being who you are, being yourself,

you are making an impact, you are an influencer.

- Yeah.

(crowd cheers)

(instrumental music)

Alabama Football Hunger Games: Which Alabama coach wins in an all-out Battle Royale? - Duration: 2:55.

So, I'm here with Slade Bolden.

Slade, if there was a Hunger Games between the coaches...

Oh God.

Who would you choose to win this?

Woooooo...

Oh, I don't know man...

I would have to say Cochran.

If we had a Hunger Games, you know, an all-out brawl with the coaches on this team...

Who do you think would win that battle?

I'd probably say, um...

I'd probably say Coach Gattis.

Coach Gattis...over...Coach Cochran?

Ohhhhhh...oh no, wait now.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...yeah.

Coach Cochran. It's definitely Coach Cochran.

Coach Cochran winning that, bro.

He's the strength coach. He's winning that.

Name a coach?

Any coach, on our team. Who would win it?

Saban.

Saban?

Probably Coach Saban.

Because he probably got everybody around him helping him out. You know what I mean?

But then what happens when there only has to be one?

You think the coaches are gonna...they're gonna have to turn on each other.

Yeah...

You think Coach Saban's still gonna take it?

He'll probably find some way, but I don't know how.

It's that process. Nick Saban's process, for sure.

If I'm in the Hunger Games...

Ooooooooh!

All the coaches?

I'm gonna throw a wild card at you...and I'm gonna say Banks gonna come out.

Special teams coordinator, dawg.

Why you think? Heck yeah. All day.

If we have one with, you know, the players on the team...who do you think would win?

I mean, are you gonna consider yourself an option?

I mean, yourself's an option here.

The O-Line.

We run as a unit, so you already know we untouchable.

But, I mean, it's only one person's gonna win.

So, what are you gonna do when the whole o-line's left?

Is this gonna be a brawl between the whole o-line?

Me.

I'm gonna go with Najee.

You think Najee Harris can win?

He looks like he's from the jungle anyways.

Oh, me.

(scoffs)

Me. I'm winning.

If there was a Hunger Games, like an all-out brawl between the players...

Who do you think would come out on top?

Uh...

You're not gonna say yourself?

Nah. I'm gonna keep it real.

I'm gonna go with the biggest person...

No. Cash.

Cause Cash got the best hands.

Talkin' bout fighting?

Yeah. Like a brawl. All-out brawl.

I would win. I would win.

100 percent?

100 percent. No doubt.

Well, that's not what Jeudy said.

What'd Jeudy say?

Jeudy said that Cash would win.

He ain't winning.

Cash ain't winning. You tell him that. No.

I'm winning.

Me.

Why's that?

Cause, you know what it is.

I mean...I've wrapped you up every day in practice, so...

That's a lie.

Who do you think would win out of the players?

Hmm...

I'd put a guy like Raekwon or Q...Cash...

33... I'd put Anfernee in there.

Barmore said himself.

Of course. Philly.

Whoever's winning those sprints. That's who I'm riding with.

100%.

Appreciate you, dawg.

Appreciate you, Coach Coch.

Why the Alphabet Song is an Alien Conspiracy - Duration: 2:03.

Hello welcome to Finasso Theory Today I am going to be telling you about my theory

about why the alphabet song is actually an alien conspiracy. The first part of my

theory is that the first letter of the alphabet is A. A for alien. But that's not

all. Listen closely to the alphabet song.

(ABC song plays on piano)

The tune of the alphabet song is the same as Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star. In

Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star a person is looking up at a star and wondering what

it is. But stars are in outer space, and outer space is where aliens come from.

But Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star also says something about a diamond. On Earth

diamonds are extremely valuable. That is why a lot of people mine diamonds. (MINING AWAY!)

Since diamonds are rare, people have also figured out how to create diamonds in

labs, but it's really expensive to do. If the aliens have the technology to

travel through outer space, then they probably can also create diamonds for a

cheaper price. But this would be really bad to diamond companies that make a lot

of money. That is why the diamond companies are trying to cover up the

existence of aliens. So that is my theory about why the alphabet song is actually

an alien conspiracy. I hope you enjoyed this theory. If you don't think that this

theory is real, if you don't think that it is true, then you're right. It isn't. (Really?)

It's just a joke. Have a nice day.

What it's like to not feel good enough - Head Down (an original song) - Duration: 3:44.

I feel a little forgotten A little washed by the tides of time

A little like I was pushed aside To the back of people's minds

I feel a bit like a passing phase Like someone else's temporary haze

You pushed me straight out of your sight I let you go without a fight

Now I don't know you anymore Head down stare straight at the floor

And out of ten I'm only four So head down stare straight at the floor

Head down stare straight at the floor Head down, stare straight at the floor

My reputation precedes me And it's not a surprise

No one cares for my sadness Till it spills from my eyes

Sore skin in the sunlight And a permanent frown

Can somebody tell me Why I was born upside down?

Now I don't know you anymore Head down stare straight at the floor

And out of ten I'm only four So head down stare straight at the floor

Head down stare straight at the floor Head down, stare straight at the floor

Sometimes I wish I could just swallow my pride And tell you what's really gone on in my mind

Look through all those pictures and smile at first

Then cry a little cause it actually hurts I'm mad at myself for wasting this time

Can't let go, caught in the words that rhyme Another breakdown it's my living style

Look closely and you'll see a drawn on smile I was delusional and you were just there

I should have known you really didn't care I was delusional and you were just there

I should have known you really didn't care I was delusional and you were just there

I should have known you really didn't care Now I don't know you anymore

Head down stare straight at the floor And out of ten I'm only four

So head down stare straight at the floor Head down stare straight at the floor

Head down, stare straight at the floor Now I don't know you anymore

So head down stare straight at the floor

An Amazing 2018 and Dazzling 2019! - Duration: 3:09.

Hi, I'm Jonathan Williams, president and CEO of the Pacific battleship Center and

president of the LA Fleet Week Foundation. 2018 has been an absolutely

amazing year here at the Battleship IOWA on the LA Waterfront. From our education,

to our community, to our veterans programs, we've seen tremendous success.

For example: opening "Lost At Sea."

Lost At Sea with Dr. Robert Ballard is a

wonderful exhibit that showcases the human impact of shipwrecks and

disasters across the seas through history. This was done with thousands of

hours of volunteer service. Volunteers our core to, and instrumental to our

organization. Then we also introduced new programs to many students that came here

throughout the region. Hundreds of thousands of visitors visit here

annually including international visitors from locations like China, Japan,

Brazil, Australia, and of course right here at home.

Our veterans program: we're a hub for veterans here at the Battleship

IOWA and going into 2019 we will be amplifying that with a special program

we look forward to announcing in January. And as a community asset, bringing LA Fleet Week

at over a quarter million visitors in 2018 has been a tremendous

impact, and those of you that were there got to see the special show by the Beach Boys

and plan something bigger in 2019! And then we're also looking at how we

impact our region in our local economic development. You know, down here in

downtown (San Pedro) the restaurants have had record years. We're seeing a new waterfront

revitalization program going on with the San Pedro Public Market, and we're also

looking long-term on how we tie in to those destinations.

So overall 2018 was an excellent year and it would not be possible without you

as a supporter and a donor of our organization.

We thank you tremendously for all that you have done to keep our ship moving.

In 2019 we have a lot on the horizon. As I mentioned we're introducing a veteran's

program. We're also working on increasing our impact in our education. We're

starting field trips, expanding our STEM and STEAM field trips throughout

the region to more school districts, and we are also looking on how we can impact

folks across the country - hoping to get something online. (Actually we already

have a little bit online but something greater online in our education curriculum.)

We're excited about the veterans program that I mentioned and we

will continue to charge ahead as leaders in community development and we have a

lot on the horizon that's exciting with Fleet Week this year and I'm proud to

announce right here that Cirque du Soleil

will be right in front of the

Iowa in April and May of next year. So in 2019 we are excited about what's gonna

happen. Stay tuned the third week of January. We will make an announcement on our

social media and our website about what we're going to become in the future: a

national-level museum that I'm sure you're going to be proud to support!
