How To Use Countdown Timer Feature On Instagram Story(Insta New Update)-2019 - Duration: 3:38.

Hello what's up guys and welcome back to my youtube channel "Teconz". So the

Instagram has released lot's of new features in 2018, like that

ask me a question, polling features and hashtags also. But in few

days back they add one more feature is called as Instagram "countdown" updates.

By using this feature you can easily remind your programs through your

Instagram story, so today I will show you how to use this countdown feature in

your Instagram application. And this update is also available on android and

Ios devices, so let's go to our tutorial. First of all I try to open my

Instagram application via my new android mobile and then complete your

login or signup processes, and my news feed is ready to use. Now

in this home page section you can press your profile icon and it is located at the

almost top of left side.

And then my mobile camera is automatically turned on... So if you like

to capture your image you can use this camera options, but I try to select

the one image file from my gallery.

And this is that image file, now in this section in almost top it shows one

icon like that face simple, so just press that icon and then it shows some features

to update your Instagram story section, but in this section you can press that countdown

icon and it is located in second column and the second one.

Finally my countdown template is now ready to use.

In this text section you can type your message and in bottom it shows one date and

time settings and this date & time indicates when will this countdown

end. So here you can select your countdown finishing date, once your message and

date is set to correctly, just click to "Done". Finally my countdown is almost

completed, but if you like to add any effects in your background, just press

that smiley icon and it is located at the almost top and the first one.

It shows lots of effects, so here you can select your favourite one and then

click to "Done". So once your editing is completed, just click to share

this feature to your story section, so how to do it?.Just press that "Send to" icon

and then select "Your story". Finally my story is successfully uploaded to my

status section, so how to view it?.Just go back to your home page, now in this section

you can press your profile icon, now my status is starts to loading...

Finally here you can see this method works very smoothly... So this is the way

you can easily add the countdown feature to your Instagram status. For more tech

Instagram users are upset with the app after its new update! IG conducted a test, which featured horizontal scrolling on new feeds instead of its usual up-and-down scrolling! Users were so angry with the update that IG responded! Here's what happened!    Instagram is on swift damage control after a new "small-scale" update went out to more IG users than expected on December 27! The update added a new tap-to-advance feature, which allowed users to scroll through posts horizontally, instead of its usual up-and-down (vertical) scrolling

But, the app soon found out that the update only angered users, which caused a firestorm of negative online reviews

   "NO INSTAGRAM NO," one user pleaded on Twitter, adding, "[I] don't like the new way to go through my posts!! I want to scroll up and down, not side to side!!" Another wrote, "Wow I hate this, @instagram Why do you have to play with my feelings so early? I want my old scrolling ways back"

Other clever fans pointed out that "you can't hate your Instagram update if you never update your phone

" While that might've been a quick fix for the IG issue, we're not sure if that would've helped with the phone's overall speed and working abilities

 Instagram has since issued an apology for its unexpected update. The new horizontal scrolling feature apparently went to more users than expected, which caused the social network to quickly pull the plug on the test

 Adam Mosseri, the new head of Instagram, responded to angry users on Twitter and explained that the horizontal-scrolling feature was "supposed to be a very small test that went broad by accident

New Instagram Update Makes Users 'Tap Through Posts' | Heavy.com

Instagram users woke up to an update that has many confused about how to navigate the popular social media application.

The new layout has eliminated the scroll capability on the app's home page; instead, users must now tap or swipe left and right in order to see new posts from the users they follow.

When a user attempts to scroll down on the app, as they have always been able to do, a gray screen appears that explains that the change is "Introducing a new way to move through posts.

Tap through posts, just like you tap through stories." It then instructs that you "tap [the screen] to see the next post.".

Although the change is as simple as scrolling left and right instead of up and down, it entirely changes the way in which users are accustomed to looking at posts on their newsfeed.

In June 2018, The Verge reported that Instagram had 1 billion users worldwide, an increase in 200 million from its census of 800 million the previous year.

It appears as though the app has been changed globally, for a majority of users.

The Independent pointed out that although the app usually staggers the release of major changes, "the update appears to have rolled out for a huge number of Instagram users at once.".

As users of the app realized the change this morning, many took to Twitter to express their unhappiness.

@melissa_golds wrote "Dear #instagram, I really hate this update, please bring back the scroll.

Sincerely, everyone." The tweet quickly accumulated over 1,000 likes and 500 retweets.

Youtuber Elle Mills joked that the change likened Instagram to the popular dating app Tinder, which asks users to swipe left and right based on interest.

Actor Drake Bell tweeted at @Instagram, asking "Have you been drinking?!!".

Many users, especially those whose apps auto-update, also took to Twitter asking for a way to uninstall the update and revert back to the previous format.

If you do not have auto-update enabled for Instagram, your app has likely not been affected.

According to NBC News, many users quickly reported that their feeds "went back to normal" shortly after the change, suggesting that Instagram was rolling back the update due to users' swift negative response.

UPDATE: Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri responded to the Twitter backlash, explaining that the update was meant to be a test that reached more users than it was meant to.

According to Mosseri, the change has already been rolled back and restarting the app should revert it back to its previous format.

This is not the first time the app has introduced changes that sparked outrage among users.

Ad News reported that when Instagram introduced "Recommended" posts to users feed (from accounts the users did not follow), many were critical of the change, which an Instagram spokesperson said was their solution to "always looking for ways to connect you to new and interesting content on Instagram." With this new tap/swipe format to the app, sponsored ads are more noticeably mixed in with the posts from users you actually follow; approximately one in five posts is a targeted ad based on your Instagram preferences.

Instagram sparks fury after rolling out sideways feed 'by mistake' - News Live - Duration: 2:08.

Instagram users were left confused after the popular photo sharing app's news feed was given a whole new layout change - before being scrapped just moments later.

The social network service changed the feed so that instead of scrolling up and down, users had to move left and right.

However after backlash from many of their billion active users, Instagram reverted back to the old format.

The changes were reversed within the space of around half an hour - with Instagram later claiming that the update was a 'mistake'.

Instagram boss Adam Mosseri wrote on Twitter: "Sorry about that, this was supposed to be a very small test but we went broader than we anticipated."

People were not happy with the changes and were quick to take to Twitter to express their outrage.

Twitter user @ponchis_g said: "Yeah uh I got some feedback for you, it's really bad."

Another posted: "Who else hates the new Instagram update??

"I'm quite sad about it, calling it now, the outrage is gonna force them to change it before 2019 lol."

@MelisOnCheddar added: "Please never do that again."

Maddigan added: "I think by the sheer number of memes and backlash, this should be scrapped for now.

"I've never seen so many people get so negative so quickly."

The new look is similar the Instagram stories which has been a big hit for the company and has taken on the success of Snapchat.

But some users have compared the swiping to dating app Tinder.

After updating the app a message read: "Introducing a new way to move through posts.

"Tap through posts, just like you tap through stories."

Those who are still seeing the updated version of Instagram, should shut down the app and relaunch to revert back to the ability to scroll.
