LOL A MICROVOLTS STORY TIME OR SMTH - Duration: 5:47.
okay so we all know by now that microvolt died and I'm not really
playing the new version Toy Heroes Online - to those who are wondering since I
published recently a few videos - they're just simply old recordings. Um I wanted to
make a video to share how I started playing Microvolts / how I found out
about it and I would love to hear how you found out about this game in the
comments as well if you wanna share and I'll also be talking about
overall anything involving microvolts or like whatever comes to my head so if you
want to listen keep watching okay so I used to play this game called Rakion
um the game was like um similar to microvolts like you can see the
character in front of you instead of like it being like FPS(first person
shooter) and yeah so a friend of mine in that game was like hey there's this cute
game want to try it out and I was down for it so we first were playing all
weapons which sucked for us cuz we were just crabby at it like we didn't know
how to play properly and later I got more curious about other modes and
started playing at first zombie mode for a while and then I played shotgun only
capture the battery that was like quite fun until those overpowered
shotguns were released after that I think I started getting into melee only
and slowly it became my thing and yeah that's pretty much it
mm-hmm okay now I'll move on to how I began purchasing RT at first I didn't like
care about how my character looked in game I used to buy MP shop parts
with max options like 2% speed instead of 1 etc and since Naomi had the most
or highest speed from MP clothes she was my chosen character but then slowly
it started getting into my head like I wanted to look cool and I
craved so much for Lucifer melee since it was the most overpowered melee at
some point and so my first 100k RT was spent on shop items for 30days ohmygodfacepalm
I basically like didn't know but like what the f--k was a capsule and what
does it give and like I never bothered to check or wasn't with the idea of
spending most of the RT on crap like the blue capsules you gets from the
capsule basically and like with a small potential of getting one good item when
you can spend your whole RT on stuff that you want but are limited like I don't
know I made so many stupid options at that time like I used to buy a whole
weapon set and I barely use them but I just had to have them for some reason I
also did few name changes at a time from cute_girl to ILoveMetal to Lorain
later and then later of course to Yui then to Lorain uh cuz lowkey I didn't
want to see another Lorain around *cough* but wait wait before you jump at me saying
ha! cute girl! LOL are you gay??? ((yes)) just kidding anyway so the story behind the name was
that I used to make a lot of alternative or alt accounts because I wanted the
free seven days weapon from the tutorial especially that lollipop melee which you
are able to get from connecting to Facebook or liking the page or something
and by the way that melee was a bit overpowered I guess you can say because
it like was able to one hit. but yea I made many random named accounts thinking I'll
leave it and I'll be on a new one later anyway but the reason why I kept this
one was because well back in the day you used to have to buy chip and Pandora
characters each for 40k MP so and like it wasn't really easy to get MP
unless you play battle which exactly what I used to do except
a hacker was playing with us one day and we just basically farmed the crap out of
boss battle but yeah that's that um what was I talking- um okay so RT, so: after
a while I got another 100k RT and I spent that time capsule for the first
time on the Yin&Yang set to be specific for Pandora and I won 4 parts only the
white top, black hair and 2 back accessories different colors and maybe
changed to Lorain at that time. As like why did I choose Lorain even though
it's not my real name? well um it's like actually a bit embarrassing to share I
had this random girl on Facebook she was pretty and she was called Lauren and
I wanted to name Lauren after her because I was like hmm what should it be
like what should I name I want a cool name and then I thought of her I was
like yeah why not, but when I wanted to like write Lauren it was taken so I
changed letters until one worked: Lorain. aand yeah I guess that's it um I
think I'll make another one when I remember stories and whatnot but yeah um
I hope it was fun to watch yeah see you in the next one bye

My Adjustment of Status Was Denied - Appeal or Reapply? - Duration: 2:51.
next question is from Aubrey Ross Hudson I was denied for my AOS. What is the
best thing to do? can you help me regarding this matter? regarding appeal
or reapply my k1 visa process was with RapidVisa and did the best and in the
fastest? um as far as filing for an appeal that's probably not something
that RapidVisa is going to be able to assist you with and you would want to
look at the denial letter a lot of times it'll say at the bottom of that letter
that you cannot appeal this decision so if you want to we could take a look at
the denial letter, if we did your k1 you could you know probably send it to us
and we could review that for you. You know in most cases it's probably best to
you know just reapply depending on the reason why you were denied you know it's
providing that that it's not preventing you from reapplying but in most cases
read the denial letter usually they'll come out and say that you cannot appeal
that decision on an adjustment of status. yeah and you know it's gonna be
important for you to correct whatever defect was that caused it to be denied
if for example you didn't say the reason so for example if the finances weren't
high nap well reapplying or appealing is not going to help you you got to get the
finance you got to get the income up and so whatever the problem was whatever the
reason for denial was you're gonna have to address that whether you have feel or
reapply you're just gonna be wasting time and money to reapply if the facts
are exactly the same you know so you got to solve that now if it's a simple
matter of you missed the appointment you didn't go you know they had an interview
or biometric so you didn't go to it then yeah and something some you know French
case like that maybe you can just reapply or appeal but if you're gonna
appeal like Rick says you really it's not something we're gonna help you with
you're gonna need a get an attorney to craft a legal argument would be are
would be our advice if you're going to appeal. okay with an appeal you basically
have to prove that the government made a mistake
take yeah and sometimes that's a real uphill battle, right I'm sure you know
I'm sure it happens we would be remiss to think the government is perfect but
it doesn't happen often usually if they denied you they're pretty confident in
their reasons and so again you need to fix whatever was defective about your
petition you need to fix make sure you've got that fix before you spend
another six months and another twelve hundred twenty-five dollar application
fee and all that you don't want to go down that path again end up in the same
place.

It's late Spring and we're just starting to pick Acerolas
and these are these beautiful red little fruits and they're packed in vitamin C
so one of these is like eating an apple and they're really delicious they're
quite juicy and they've got a lovely mix of sweet and sour so if you like things
with a little bit of tang you're going to love the Acerola they also grow in
quite a beautiful shrub so you can see behind me it's very dense and it can be
quite heavy so if you want to grow one in your garden it's a good idea to put a
nice sturdy stake to it to keep it strong in the ground they can have a
tendency to pull themselves over with the weight of the plant if the soil gets very
wet so during wet weather that we get here in the subtropics they can topple
unless you have them well staked the other thing you can do to avoid that is
keep it prune so keep it well maintained cut it back once it gets to about this
size so when it finishes fruiting take about a third or half off it and that'll
keep it nice and vigorous and keep it small and compact but when you're
pruning it's a good idea to wear long sleeve shirt and gloves cause the
foliage is covered with tiny irritating hairs so if your wear a short sleeve
shirt you'll find yourself quite itchy afterwards they're like stinging
nettles but not as severe so they give you tiny little stings they're quite
irritating on the skin and so it'll make you very itchy. So if you're working
with this plant make sure you do protect your skin with a long-sleeve shirt you
can see it's quite a beautiful plant when it's got the fruit on it and also
in flower it has lovely pastel pink blossoms that make it look beautiful
when it's in flower early spring so this is the Acerola we love it.
and you're going to enjoy those beautiful little tasty fruits
mmm lovely mix of sweet and sour I adore these that's the Acerola

He feels rich.
Bob Marley is a great example.
What is rich...
While being rich can be defined in other things in life next to owning a lot of money.
The spraying wealthy people are aware of the homeless man because he's across the street.
That situation is a form of inequality.
They'd rather waste money that way than give this man a thousand dollars and make someone

That is wealth inequality and sarcasm.
Now that the definition of wealth Inequality has been explained, what are the ways to deal
with this?
Finland is the first country to pay basic income to unemployed citizens.
People without a job receive 560 euros per month for two years.
If they only spend and do not seek a job, they lose this advantage.
This is a success because many people get rid of their stress and get motivated other
countries such as Canada have adopted this idea.
To fight the Inequality properly you have to create more jobs.
You do this by letting the unemployed starting a company while enjoying a training.
Everyone can do something they are very good at, everyone has a hobby.
Turn a hobby into a business.
Instead of investing in stupid things such as wars the government must invest in their
people to start their own business.
The farmers say First sowing than harvesting.
Not only does it create new jobs, it gives a boost in the global trade market.
Because most companies depend on the Import and Export.
The next is hard but the reality.
Stop immigrants and refugees.
I always say "You can not help someone else if you can not help yourself".
A country can only accept immigrants who can bring value.
So an immigrant who starts a business such as catering or industrial is welcome because
it creates money and creates jobs.
So, The king of the Netherlands, your piece of land in Greece is inappropriate.
Look how wealthy I am Poor Greeks.
Close tax loopholes.
American companies such as Amazone, Google, and Apple are exploiting loopholes that make
them pay ridiculously low taxes.
Increase the tax on their capital income.
It's just too crazy for words.
They just buy a building, put some plants and furniture and that's all.

iPhone X Best or not | All Features Exposed | ios 11 | Explore everything - Duration: 7:42.
hey guys what's up this video is on the iPhone X after four years of the company
recycling the design of the iPhone 6 the iPhone X is a breath of fresh air the
beautiful OLED screen takes up pretty much the whole front of the device be
sure that you subscribe my channel and this is iPhone X that marks the 10th
anniversary of the iPhone that's why it is actually called the iPhone 10
although you can be rest assured everyone is going to be called the iPhone
X so what is special about the iPhone X and there are some of the key
specifications to concessions were made for the oilskin design the most obvious
is that there is no home button you might miss it if you have muscle memory
from mashing the button every two minutes there is also not touch ID
fingerprint scanner and it has been replaced with the face ID which is
facial recognition technology the second concession is equally
controversial the so called notch at the top of the screen there is cut out in
the display that houses the earpiece speaker the selfie camera and the
various sensors for the true depth camera system that facilities the face Id
those bits have to be there somewhere most manufacturers just have a piece of
the pons body extend left to right squaring of this screen which i think is
better compromise no matter how solid it feels you will
need a case no matter how durable Apple says it's glass is, glass is still glass
and breaks on impact with the ground s drop test show it's a shame because the
iPhone instances genuinely one of the nicest smartphone to hold
the front-facing camera module now contain an infrared camera flood
illuminator proximity scanner ambient light sensor
speaker microphones seven megapixel camera and dot projector all of that
together combines into what Apple calls its true depth camera used for animoji
face ID and the number of cool camera tricks the big new feature for the
iPhone X is a face ID which is facial recognition system that uses an infrared
camera to make your face with the help of a dot projector and infrared light as
the iPhone X has no fingerprint scanner face ID is the only biometric security
system available for unlocking this smartphone and it's apps or authenticating payments
my experience with even the best facial recognition system such as those on
Microsoft Surface computer face ID would work well enough to replace the tried
and trusted fingerprint scanner I was genuinely surprised at how well it works
after registering your face you unlock the phone by looking at it and
swiping up it works just about any position and distance at which you would
normally holds the end interact with your phone as long as it's within 45
degree of the vertical and horizontal it's work okay on the desk out on the
front of you but it doesn't work if you are trying to unlock it in landscape
mode it has to be able to see your eyes and mouth so avoid posing like the thinker
any apps that use touch ID automatically support space ID even if they have not
been updated at first blush, face ID may feels like a setback and there is
validity to that view we don't yet know how secure it will be or whether it will
come close to the efficiency of touch ID and fingerprint rating it's also evident
that if ever could have built a fing up the sensor underneath the glass of the
iPhone X already displayed that is probably would have
there will be security kink to iron out for sure and unpleasant law enforcement
intricacies to dig into it but iPhone X's ability to map your face, recognize
it, and use that information intelligently is exciting there is a
chance it will move beyond unlocking your phone just as touch ID becomes
central to mobile payment on the iPhone what that new use case look like is
anyone's guess artificial intelligence reading and responding to your emotions
is test perhaps but 3d face mapping will surely open up some interesting new
possibilities down the line iphone X has a similar dual camera system to the
iPhone 8 plus except that two cameras are arranged vertically on the back
both cameras held 12 megapixel sensor telephoto camera has slightly better
low-light performance which is welcome also new is portrait lights mode which
recognize faces and allows you to simulate different lighting effects as
well as adding any artificial shallow depth of field with pleasing bokeh
The truedepth system enables protect mode for one of the best selfie cameras in the
business with good details and color. I found portrait lighting particularly the
stage light and mono modes to struggle with artifacts and gaping around the
ears and hair in the selfie because the iPhone X does not contain a home button
or even a software version of one the entire user interface of iOS 11 on the
device has been altered there is a whole new system of gestures and swipe to
learn and masters and many of them will be annoying to remember and difficult to
perform with just one hand closing apps now require you swipe up from the bottom
while swiping up and and holding opens the multitasking app switcher
Control Center is now surfaced by swiping down from the right corner on
while swipe down from the left gets you to notification list
another big feature is animoji which is neat and doleful snapping concept and
animoji are cartoon animal that replicate your face movement expressions and
speech using the front facing camera and 3d mapping sensor of the iPhone X it
released on the very same true depth component requires at this ID and is
another perfect example of Apple's marriage of a hardware and software to yield
something more advanced than the industry standard Apple's implementation
here feels like a widly fun and goofy blend of cutting-edge tech with selfie
obessed excess the depth sensing selfie camera can also be used to create an
animoji which I found just tad creepy clip but some people might find it fun to

Live Q&A - How to Drive on Ice, Passing A Road Test, or Starting a CDL Career :: Smart Sunday #15 - Duration: 42:05.
Hi there smart drivers. Rick with Smart Drive Test talking to you tonight about
driving on ice and more about winter driving. I had a couple of comments last
week that I went a little fast or I just gave a lot of information in a very
short period of time. So what we're going to do is go into a little bit more depth
and talk specifically about one aspect of winter driving which is going to be
driving on ice. Now the other thing you might have noticed a couple of my recent
videos were a little bit different in format and whatnot
yes I finally taken the challenge and taking the plunge and upgraded to Final
Cut Pro so that's been a bit more interesting in terms of making videos so
yes so the different format and just bear with me well I'm learning the new
software and whatnot so Wilfred is here and
watch your videos and passed my test congratulations that is really awesome
Wilford where are you in the world where did you pass your test and for those of
you joining us now please just tell us where you are in the world what class of
license you are going for and for those of you watching on the replay as well
leave a comment down in the comment section I'll get back to you and we can
talk about what kind of vehicle you're driving what kind of class of license
you're going for and where in the world you are and as well those of you
watching you can tell me about your winter driving skill and how prepared
you feel for wintertime do you feel that your skills are up to the task of
meeting winter and driving in the snow and ice and those types of things I say
do you are most welcome so that's what we're doing tonight we're gonna talk
about winter driving so leave a comment down in the comment section if you like
what you see here if that thumbs up on as well and be sure to subscribe so and
Wilfred Hollywood aka the most brutal DMV yes they are a bit more exact I
would say in California there so I Anna how are you tonight so yes and as well
what else was there gonna say super chat is also available yeah if you want to

Las Vegas BC going for Class A awesome so you're going forward tractor-trailer
Nabil
I failed my test because of the signals and left intersection of solid green
okay and I would need a little bit more information to comment on that Nabil I'm
sorry to hear about your unsuccessful attempt but for sure you're gonna get it
the next time and I do encourage you to take a lesson with a driving instructor
and get them to do a mock road test with you that way they can assess your skills
and tell you what might need a bit more work before you go for a road test emily

whereabouts are you in Texas havior you didn't take a road test and a lesson
with a driving instructor Nabeel that is certainly one thing that I encourage you
to do is before you go through your road test at least take one driving lesson
with a driving instructor because keep in mind driving instructors teach people
how to pass a road test every day and they can assess your skills and a lot of
times that will help you to be prepared that you're in fact going to be
successful on your road test Tank Girl that is an awesome username I did
actually see the movie and I tease my friend about it every time I go and see
him in Montreal about taking me to see Tank Girl
I failed my Ohio Road exam a few months ago and really need to pass it next year
with the winter weather around the corner I'm a bit worried actually Tank
Girl I'm just gonna say that taking your road test in the winter time is actually
a little bit less exact than what it is in the summer time because you don't
have to because you can't see the road markings if they're snow on the ground
and those types of things they're a little bit more there's a bit more
discretion involved and definitely have a look at the video here on the channel
and Coryell actually dig that up for you on taking a passing road test in the
winter time with snow on the ground and well that's one of the things I talk
about that sometimes a little bit easier because driving examiner's don't want
you to get the vehicle stuck because they're reluctant to push the car or the
snow banks for some reasons so they don't want you to get in there in the
snow and whatnot okay
I oh uh iaat ku and I don't think I'm saying that right apologize and thanks

or did you just get pulled over and they gave you a warning just let me know in

this time of year yes it is cold and it always feels colder because there isn't
snow on the ground and iocked too I ought to yeah I think that's what it is
is from Washington State they're in the northwest that's awesome thankfully all
only a warning awesome yeah I've been pulled over quite a number of times and
only got in a warning particularly when I was driving truck I can't say that I
was the best driver when I was driving truck it was after my career as a truck
driver that I actually became a driving instructor and realized that yeah some
of the things I needed to do so that was really great that you actually did watch
that video before you got pulled over so Emily in Nevada there is going six weeks
now so Emily what kind of transmission are you operating in the truck that
you're driving are you is it a 10 speed 13 15 18 what are you working on their
house and how is the shifting going and whatnot are you having any challenges
with your course
yes I I have seen the movie it was a long time ago but yes I have seen it and
you are most welcome about the advice Anila
okay so Anila what are the rules for entering into a highway you're talking

okay anne-marie and from Nanaimo taking my class one course now that's awesome
just pass my air brakes with flying colors to watch your brake videos and
totally learn tons from them thank you you're most welcome and Marie and
which-which out which driving school are you with they're in Nanaimo Ann Marie if

tank girl oh Emily you're working with a ten-speed awesome are you having any
challenges Emily with turning and pre-trip or anything like that it's all
going according to plan is it all working out for you
all right
all right so everybody's good everybody's working on everybody's kind
of it's been a real lull in the channel and people watching videos in those
sorts of things because of American Thanksgiving I've noticed that a lot of
people have been away and been on holidays and that's really great
or because I'm not gonna say that they were away shopping for them Black Friday
Sushma thank you so much for that still learning the modules going to range
after ten weeks that's great ah Jo honey tuning in from Jamaica
good evening that is awesome in from Jamaica
lalla I failed my test because of a red signal in a right turn but it was safe
hmm yeah unfortunately examiner's have a fair bit of discretion about that Leila
whether you're turning is safe or not or you're in a red light or those types of
things so yeah
Annmarie thank you for sharing the website around that's really great I'm
hoping that helps other people out yes merging the highway rules yes so
essentially I Nellie you have to come down on the on-ramp get out onto the
acceleration lane when you get on the acceleration lane get the vehicle up to
the speed of the flow of traffic so match the speed as you're coming out
you're picking your spot you're looking for the the vehicles there make sure you
get your signal on earlier well back on the acceleration lane and the
communicating to other traffic that you're actually going to merge out I
mean the position of your vehicle on the acceleration lane does tell them that
but you need to signal early because the flashing light gets their attention
so communicate pick your spot hold your course and then stay on as long as you
can to get it up to the flow of traffic the speed of traffic which is 65 miles
an hour 100 kilometers an hour it'd probably be a hundred kilometers an hour
there in Ontario and then just merge over okay it's kind of one of those
things it's like a hockey stop you just got to do it and merge over Lily trucker
just coming in hi Lily how are you tonight okay so thank you again thank
you and Marie for suggesting my stuff to other people to help them you're in
Canada yes Cori is in Winnipeg Manitoba winter peg as we caught commonly
referred to it Sushma good luck on your road test on Tuesday
yes and then the license yes so yes don't rely on the videos here the videos
do show you how to learn how to drive but they don't teach you how to drive
because you have to actually get in a vehicle and you have to practice and you
have to do the skills that I show you and what not I do give you the
information that will help you to be successful but you certainly can't learn
how to drive from these videos you really need somebody sitting in the
vehicle with you and remember that learning how to drive and learning how
to drive for the purposes of passing a road test are two very different animals
okay so we're just gonna switch over to the PowerPoint presentation here and
talk a little bit more about winter driving and talk about specifically
driving on ice which is probably people's quarries showing us the rest of
the other things amber how are you okay so there we go so
PowerPoint yes PowerPoint there we go driving on ice and what else are we
gonna do here do this
all right okay so driving on ice my name is Rick Argus for those of you who
haven't seen too many of my videos I do have a PhD in traffic it's kind of
historical traffic for those that you don't know I looked at traffic between
1890 and 1930 and the transition from horse-drawn traffic to motor traffic and
Road speeds increased 500% between 1890 and 1930 they went from 5 miles an hour
to 6 miles an hour and in relative terms to what we're talking about today that
would be like saying that in 2060 we're all going to be driving around cities at
250 kilometers an hour or what's that in 160 miles an hour which is kind of what
most of us would say that's ludicrous but that's what happened in the 40 years
between 1890 and 1930 and what I did was looked at the impact that increased road
speed had on placing in law and how placing in law worked to control all the
roads and tried to uphold what's called order maintenance is the biggest task
that police do is trying to control the actions of people and I argued that all
of the laws and policing changes in policing really moved to accommodate
higher road speeds on the roadways and not in fact uphold order maintenance
although there was a whole social movement that went along with that as
cars monopolize roadway so tonight what we're going to talk about is we're going
to talk about driving on ice and snow and we're gonna talk about specifically
driving on ice when it gets slippery in the wintertime and the first thing we're
going to talk about here in terms of driving on ice is types of ice there's
ground ice freezing rain and ice that's created by traffic and weather so
basically ice is on there on the roadway that forms there because you have water
or precipitation on the roadway and then it freezes and it becomes ice and
freezing rain is precipitation that falls from the atmosphere and it's warm
in the atmosphere and the surfaces on the ground or the
trees and the cars and buildings and whatnot are all cold so the rain
actually freezes on the surface and that's where you get those really
tremendous ice storms and those tips things where things break structures
break electrical hydro towers and those types of things all break so then
there's ice that's created by traffic especially at intersections when
vehicles come up and they hit their brakes and they're sliding up in the
intersection and they put pressure on the on the ice and they melt a little
bit and that there's a layer of water on top of the ice and that freezes because
it's cold outside so you will get ice that way as well so those are different
ways that ice will form on the roadways where will you find ice because one of
the things that oftentimes media and other places will talk about is they'll
talk about black ice well I don't subscribe to black ice because I know
where ice is going to be found when it is cold and the temperature is near
freezing it's gonna form on bridges and overpasses first and the reason it
freezes on bridges and overpasses first is because it's cold on both sides of
the structure underneath and above the other place that you're going to find
ice is in low-lying areas and roadways so you're gonna find ice anywhere in the
roadway lies in shadow along hills and buildings and those types of things
you're gonna find ice at high elevations particularly here in the mountains where
the clouds are sitting down in the mountains and you drive up through the
cloud because remember clouds are precipitation that precipitation touches
the roadway and then it freezes and forms ice on the roadway and then
roadways that run near bodies of water there's also going to be ice so those
are some of the places where you will find ice when the temperature dips to
zero degrees Celsius or 36 degrees Fahrenheit as it does here in North
America or in the United States and as it does in the fall that's what I was
going to say the other thing so stopping distance it takes you approximately 10
times farther to stop on ice particularly if there's a layer of water
on the ice or the temperature is around freezing which is going to cause water
on top of the ice you need to work the primary controls very carefully and you
need to break early steer early so you can know with what the conditions of
the roadway are whether it's slippery or whether you're going to get traction and
those kinds of things and you want to separate out the use of the brake in the
steering wheel you want to brake first and then steer not try and steer and
brake simultaneously as oftentimes we do in the summertime so that's one of the
other things you want to do and again we've talked about space management in
the past you leave yourself an out you always want to have someplace to drive
into because as they talked about in the recent crash analysis video it's faster
to drive out of an emergency situation or around an emergency situation than it
is to brake and oftentimes we're not going to get the vehicle stock however
to be able to steer around an emergency situation you need some place in which
to drive in to aim high and your steering so that means look far down the
road and being look when you're looking for down the road and not looking at the
end of the hood as well those of you learning how to drive and center a
vehicle in the laneway regardless of whether it's a passenger vehicle or
tractor-trailer it's just one of the things that's driving structures that we
tell students is to look farther down the road you need to communicate with
other road users your intention if you're going to come to a stop or those
types of things you want to use your lights the position of your vehicle
appropriate hand gestures eye contact all of that will communicate to other
road users and your horn as well but unfortunately most of the time we honk
our horns thats an aggressive movement with other road users get the big
picture so you're looking at oncoming traffic you're looking at the traffic
that you're driving in the lane with out onto the sidewalks and intersections and
you're looking at the junctions and merge lanes and all those types of
things so get the big picture of traffic and make sure they see you the other
road users if somebody is tailgating you and you're trying to come to a stop on
ice or snow you certainly want to look in the mirror and make sure that the
people behind you are coming to a stop before you actually put on the brakes
and you actually might to communicate you might want to just tap your brakes
to know whether the traffic behind you is coming to a stop
defensive braking drive for the conditions on the roadway okay know that
the speed limits are for ideal conditions on the roadway yes and check
your mirror tap your brakes if somebody is tailgating you as I said tap your
brakes the flashing of the light behind them will get their attention do most of
your braking when you're driving on ice or it is slippery conditions you most
you were braking before you get to where you want to stop and then creep up to
where you actually want to stop the other thing too is for new drivers
before you come to a complete stop release the brakes allow the body of the
vehicle to rest back over the chassis and then reapply the brakes and come to
a complete stop that way you're not going to jolt in your passengers and
those types of things all right so what is the weather report outside what is
the temperature and oftentimes of the temperature plummets to you know 20
degrees Fahrenheit or it plummets to minus 10 or minus 15 degrees media
reports are oh my god it's snowing outside and it's so terrible and we're
all gonna die oh my god this is actually when the temperature is around zero
that's when you should be the most worried because when the temperature is
around zero there's going to be ice in that's going to be sporadic it's not
going to be able to be seen because they're gonna label it it's black ice
but there is going to be ice on bridges and overpasses low-lying areas areas
lying and shadow low elevations and at very high elevations so know that when
the temperature is around zero and also know to note that if you get radical
temperature changes in the winter time so the temperature goes from minus
thirty up to minus fifteen it's also going to make the road surface more
slippery as well and in the mountains here we have something called hard pack
where salt only works down to about minus six or minus seven and then salt
is ineffective after that point and that's why they put sand on the roadways
and in the mountain areas a lot of times we get hard pack we get a big layer
thick layer but before six ten twelve inches of hard packed snow on top of the
roadway and that's actually what the road surface is in the winter time
you're driving on that hard pack so know that if the temperature does in fact get
up around zero that that hard pack is going to be quite slippery all right the
industry sections are going to be your biggest challenge in the wintertime most
forty percent of crashes occur at intersections
intersections become slippery because the cars come up they break and they
slide it melts that pressure and heat from the friction melts the top is a
layer of ice and there's a layer of water on top of it think of it like an
ice hockey rink where the Zamboni floods the ice after the ice is flooded the
water lubricates the top of the ice and that's when it is most slippery the
other analogy is when you take ice cubes out of the freezer for the first couple
of minutes the ice cubes are sticky because they're still cold but you leave
them there for 30 seconds or 45 seconds and they become very slippery and the
reason for that is because the ice cubes begin to melt there's a layer of water
um and they go up to it sinking across the top of the counter so break early
and approach you to crawl make sure you test out the road surface and those
types of things and again same thing as what we talked about last week in terms
of braking steering and accelerating in the winter time and conditions are
slippery overuse of the primary controls steering braking and accelerating are
all going to cut potentially caused you to lose control don't know that as well
and nice easy gentle maneuvers of the primary controls and know that for the
purposes of steering you don't need much more than a quarter of a turn to even go
around a corner you need very little on the steering wheel in order to get the
vehicle to move for you skin control and again just to reiterate this point as
well drive for the conditions of the road as I said posted speed limit is
under ideal conditions dry roads in the summertime and clear daylight in the
winter time it is not recommended that you drive the speed limit if there's
snow or ice or it's lighting conditions especially now in the winter time when
it gets dark at three or four o'clock in the afternoon if you do lose control of
the vehicle steer in the direction that you wish to go look for your out and
don't give up don't ever give up as I said in the crash mail as this video
today do not give up wear your seatbelt because your seatbelt keeps you in the
seat in the event of an emergency situation because if you're throwing out
of your driver's seat it's pretty tough to operate the vehicle alright and if a
crash is imminent and you have the choice between something big and
something small head for something small like a hedge or a fence or something
like that as opposed to a tractor trailer as well try and reduce your
speed as as possible get your foot on the brake
pedal and lock that sucker up and if you got abs brakes which most passenger
vehicles now are going to have you're gonna have to post off the steering
wheel so grab ahold of steering with both hands and pull down and hold that
brake pedal down as hard as you can to try and reduce as much speed and the
last point if you're actually if it wrote if a crash is imminent try and get
it off on an angle don't try and hit what you're going to hit on square on
okay because that's going to reduce the impact of the crash as well so in
conclusion ice there's different kinds of ice freezing rain ice it's on the
roadways it's already there that's snow that's been compacted by cars and those
types of things rain ice is going to be more slippery
when the temperature is around freezing very deft control of the vehicle so nice
easy gentle use of the steering wheel and the primary controls because all of
that potentially could cause you to lose control most important like I say all
the time increase your following distance with the conditions of the
roadway deteriorate and you know that you're on ice or you're driving on ice
freezing rain it's going to come down in the form of rain it's gonna look like
rain and only until you get out on the roadway and probably fall on your butt
are you gonna figure out that that rain is actually freezing on the surface and
that it is probably not prudent for you to be out driving
all right skid control look in the direction you want to go if a crash is
imminent try and reduce your speed as much as possible if you have a choice
between something big and something small aim for something small and as
well try and reduce the speed by as much as possible
all right so coming back here there we go
there we go okay and see what we got here
okay Samantha has a question at any time
yeah okay
Naruto perpendicular parking okay reversed all parking core you got
that video up for you on the route oh one of the things I'm going to say about
reverse our perpendicular parking rather is that try and park beside another
vehicle because one of the thing about Park can be sudden other vehicles then
that way you have a reference if you're trying to look in the mirrors down at
the lines on the parking lot and especially now that we're coming into
winter with snow and that sort of thing you're not going to be able to see those
lines so know that if you park beside another vehicle it's going to be a lot
easier for you to use that as a reference point the other thing is is
that when you come up to park you can see that other vehicle there and you can
know whether that vehicle is straight in the space or not and that way you can
line your vehicle up alright so those are some tips for perpendicular parking
and the other thing about it is is that as you're backing up not the whole time
that you're backing up but just as a quick check is you got to put your hand
over the passenger seat depending on which side of the vehicle you're on and
then look out the back window but every now and again just look straight forward
and see if the vehicle is straight when you're backing up okay
dank Moonpie your biddies help me pass my road test first try keep doing what
you do thank you so much day where are you that you passed a road test Bank
there
Lily I hate driving in the snow no fair enough
Lily it's it could be a bit daunting especially in a in a tractor-trailer or
a big truck you get in a bit ice and snow and it starts to go it's pretty
tough to get it to recover okay
Amani how to practice turning without driving that's pretty tough
yeah without actually being in a vehicle okay amber how are you okay
I'm not sure if I just join online to learn more about the permit questions as
I'm wondering what should I do over this situation okay Samantha are you talking
about your learner's permit like the knowledge test that you have to do is
that what you're talking about because if you're doing knowledge test
questions for the for your permit for your learner's permit
there's practice driving test questions over at my website that are free you can
do those ok so what I suggest is that people ask me that about the learners
test the knowledge test that they have to do and do not read the driver's
manual wherever you are in the world do not read that driver's manual cover to
cover the only thing that thing is good for is curing insomnia it's terrible
it's been written by bureaucrats and it's dry as sawdust so what I suggest to
you is is find some practice driving test questions on the websites here on
the Internet do the practice driving test questions don't use the driving
test questions as a gauge of your ability use them to find the gaps in
your knowledge when you find the gaps in your knowledge then go back to the
driving manual look up the sections in the driving manual that you don't know
strengthen those skills go back and do the practice driving test questions and
just kind of work back and forth between the book and the practice driving test
questions is the practice driving test questions will actually teach you the
information that you need to know for the purposes of passing a road test and
as well the practice driving test questions will teach you how to read the
questions and how to answer the questions because there is a specific
skill set for answering practice multiple-choice questions for the
purposes of a road test and that's where my tagline for the videos comes from
pick the best answer not necessarily the right answer and just as an example of
that if you're going through a four-way stop and that's the question on the test
is who has the right of way to four-way stop and the choices are the biggest
vehicle the first person to the first vehicle to arrive the vehicle on the
right or the vehicle in the intersection well two of those four answers are
actually right the first person is the first vehicle to arrive or the person on
the right those are both right answers but the best answer is the person in the
intersection because if there's a vehicle in the intersection you're not
going to drive into the four-way stop intersection because there's somebody in
there they have the right-of-way okay so know that so I'll pick the best answer
not necessarily the right answer and use the driving manual and the practice
driving test questions to teach yourself how to pass the road test
excuse me
all right rittany how to reduce fatigue for long
distance driving well Rennie you cannot reduce fatigue but you can put
strategies in place to continue to drive while you're tired one of the things you
can do is eat eat carrots or eat rice cakes something that's not doesn't have
a lot of carbs and fat and that's everything in it one of the things I
used to do is when I was driving truck and I used to run long hours I used to
have a 5 to 5 pound bag of carrots down beside the seat man I used to chew
carrots while I was driving that was one of the ways that it could stay awake for
long distance driving eating rice cakes also works obviously coffee I'm a bit of
an addict when it comes to coffee which is probably not the best thing so that's
one of the things you can do ah the other thing where'd you go where'd
you go where'd you go where'd you go all right so those are a couple of
strategies that you can put in place for long for long distance driving the other
thing that I suggest you is to now Rini are you driving a commercial vehicle are
you driving a passenger vehicle because if you're driving a passenger vehicle
what I suggest is to get out of the vehicle every hour maybe you know every
couple of hours and have a quick walk around you know go to the toilet and
those types of things in that way that'll help the blood circulate even
with a commercial vehicle you can get it into a truck stop er not a truck stop
but a rest area and those types of things that really helps as well Ren
were wait is over what weight are we talking about Alvin I
just took my road test a month ago and I failed because examiner told me that I
ran a red light which I don't have any idea how come I ran a red light
yeah Alvin did you go through a yellow light and a turn red while you were
going through the intersection that's always a possibility because if you're
in the intersection and the examiner looks up through the window and sees the
light turning red then they will deem that as a red light okay I did a little
trucker thanks you are most welcome Lily trucker I'm sorry Samantha
just wanted to know what was the best okay
I don't want to get too personal on a thing what I suggest Samantha is send me
an email Rick at smart drive test comm i would line what anything that i can help
you with in terms of a disability whether you have dyslexia or you have
some sort of other learning disability that might you know cause problems with
that put that in email because i want to talk about in a public forum but you
know by all means and I'll be able to help you and do what I can to get you
going with that okay
what do they test you on for class 5 and BC are there between class 7 and class 5
does it take you to highway or something it depends Ren where where you are
taking your road test whether there's highway like if it's within proximity to
the highway then by all means
they will take you out on highway and see if you can drive on the highway but
if if not then they're not going to do that so okay Sam from rooky Auto driving
school is asking if there's anybody from New York here tonight Raquel is from
upstate New York you were most welcome Samantha okay and we might actually run
this short tonight because it doesn't seem like there's too many questions
everybody's off on holidays because of American Thanksgiving where are you in
upstate New York Raquel
yeah Cory got the thing up for you okay busy be my instructor took me on the
highway for the first time yesterday it was really scary
okay busy bee driving G to exam busy bee remind me where you are in Ontario again
because I'm not sure whether that's true or not
when you say highway are you saying freeway or are you talking about a
highway like a two-lane roadway with 100 kilometres an hour just let me know that
okay who's here Renoir is in Vancouver um say turkey coma yeah I think you're
probably right for sure cuz yeah things Samantha G is from Colorado excellent
that's awesome Rinne where they might take you on the
highway it depends where you are if you're somewhere in
I'm drawing a blank one of the suburbs in Vancouver but if you're near the
trans-canada highway they'll they might take you out on the trans-canada highway
it's it's up to the discretion of the driving examiner if you're near a
roadway they might take you out on a freeway or not okay especially winter
weather automatic or standard transmission driver or commuter computer
judgment well you're asking somebody who drives a manual transmission
JFS a I personally like a manual transmission in the wintertime and I
certainly do not like computers intervening in my driving I know we have
traction control and all those types of things okay Savannah what are the best
winter tires Savannah I personally like michelin's
but I will ask anybody who's on the live stream right now what kind of winter
tires they prefer and what the reason is for their preference for winter tires
and anybody watching on the replay if you as well if you could leave a comment
down in the comment section about the brand of snow tires that you prefer
please leave a comment Savannah I know here in British Columbia we're allowed
to run steel studded tires and you know those are probably the best tires that
you can get but there are downsides to steel studded snow tires and that one of
the things is that they are really noisy they create a lot of road noise and
they're they're hard on roadways so they may not be for everybody you can get
really good snow tires that are not steel studded I personally my personal
brand is Michelin's I really like Michelin's but they're by all means
there are other good tires out there Yokohama
Bridgestone
Firestone those are all good tires so anybody
now that is very interesting that somebody has hacked my feed
all right can you take care of that person for me
okay Alvin so JFS a380 Michelin or goodyear company
uses them interchange leader year-round winter or summer change seasonally run
smoothly great grip and long-lasting there you go so yeah I like Michelin's
here we go okay
they will take you at the airport Parkway when you're taking your road
test at Lockley there you go okay you guys seem to have that in control busy
bee highway 100 kilometers an hour and I'm in Ottawa interesting busy bee
that's where I did my driving instructor course with Chris at
rule of Motoring
young drivers it's the other one so anyway yeah they they might take you on
byway there which I'm drawing a blank on highways tonight for some reason I don't
know what it is not called the Queensway what's the highway busy be in Ottawa I'm
having a brain cramp tonight I'm telling you
okay that's not good okay guys I know you're stressing out about highways and
those types of things but just go out with your mentors and go out with the
driving instructors and take some practice and drive on these highways
because it's not terribly if they're safer than driving around on urban roads
okay I just want to reassure you on that point because once you get it up to
speed it's just a matter of pointing it down the road and you're going to be
okay so know that
I am very interested about how that person is hacking them the feed okay
Queensway yes no it's not the Queensway is a beauty because you're laughing oh
yes it's been a while okay it is okay so I just want to reassure you that driving
on highways is safer especially if it's a freeway or a multi-lane highway it's
going to be safer than driving around town there isn't as much stuff going on
that you're gonna have to deal with because it's monopolized by cars I know
that you're traveling at a much higher speed and it feels
really
it feels daunting because you're moving at such as fast speed because you are
because it 50 miles an hour you're moving at 18 meters per second at 100
kilometers an hour you're moving at 27 meters per second which is like 120 feet
per second it's it's a it's a big distance okay so know that
Samantha gee okay Samantha you can find my email Rick at smart drive test calm
okay so that's my email Cory I'll type it down there in the comments for you so
he just used your thumbnail and changed his nickname I think okay well it's
interesting because I want to know how these people are acting the feed here
all right okay so highway driving so maybe what I'll do next week is I'll
talk about highway driving and driving on highways because we seem to have some
trepidation about that and some people who are concerned about that on terms of
passing the road test now just know that you're going to be okay on this you just
need to do a little bit of practice with your mentors and those types of things
it's a little bit different skill set but for the most part you're going to be
okay you're gonna do well on your road test
so just carry on and do that okay
and because it's American Thanksgiving and as Sam said everybody's in the
turkey coma I think we'll just leave it there for tonight and yeah there we go
Thanks and if anybody has any questions by all means stick around I'll stick
around on the comments for a little bit here and answer any comments that
anybody might have and as well by all means send me an email Rick at smart
drive test comm I'll be more than happy to answer your questions and what I'm
gonna do tonight is going to spend a little bit of time about an hour on
comments and try and get back to people that have asked me questions on those
types of things
ha I passed my road test this past week thanks for all your content you are most
welcome I'm really happy too that you passed your road test and that's really
great news thanks for letting us know there okay so if anybody else has any
questions leave me a comment down in the comment by all means send me an email be
more happy to get back to you and help you out and if you have passed a road
test in the last week congratulations on passing a road test if you have a road
test coming up this week good luck on your road test and have fun with that
and busy be there in Ottawa is going to have a road test this Tuesday good luck
on that okay so good night to everybody thank you for your time thanks for
showing up for those who on the replay by all means leave me a comment talk to
me about your best winter tires talk to me about what vehicle you're driving
what class of license you're going for and that really helps out all the new
drivers working towards getting their license and for the veteran drivers
trying to upgrade their skills and thank you so much for all of your compliments
and whatnot and good luck in your road test and remember pick the best answer
not necessarily the right answer okay very nice I know
