How to Pronounce SCHEDULE (US, UK & Australian pronunciation) | English Pronunciation - Duration: 1:45.
Hi everyone. I just have a short video for you here on the pronunciation of the
word "schedule" (SKedule) ... or "schedule" (SHedule).
I'd just like to point out, in case you haven't seen any of my videos before,
that I'm Australian, but I don't have a strong Australian accent. I know that
it's caused a bit of confusion. My accent is what one might call quite "neutral", and
my pronunciation, I'll say it again, is quite close to British pronunciation. But
now let's look at this word. In standard American English it's pronounced:
"SKedule". "SKedule". In British English it's: "SHedule". "SHedule". In Australia I
actually think it's more common to say "SKedule", which is a bit strange because
normally we follow British rules, but occasionally there are exceptions, and I,
in any case, normally say "SKedule". So if you're learning English, either one of
these is correct. I hope you found this useful. If you did, please click on the
thumbs up. Don't forget you can follow me on social media, and I'll see you next time.
Bye bye.

Why did Japan attack Pearl Harbor? ⚓ | The US involvement in WW2 Explained 📚 - Duration: 7:02.
If you're not already familiar with the battle of Pearl Harbor, or your high-school
history lessons are a little rusty, maybe this will jog your memory.
On the morning of December 7, 1941 the Japanese Airforce launched a surprise military attack
on a US naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
A total of 353 japanese aircraft, including fighters, dive bombers and torpedo bombers)
launched from six aircraft carriers attacked the Pearl Harbor base, sinking 4 US navy battleships
and damaging the remaining 4.
They also destroyed 188 U.S. aircraft and damaged 3 destroyers and 3 cruisers.
Over 2 thousand americans lost their lives and over 1 thousand were wounded.
The military operation was a complete shock and led to a declaration of war against Japan
the very next day and the entry of the US into World War 2.
But why did the Japanese attack the US?
The two countries weren't at war after all.
Well, to start off, we need to talk a little bit about Japan.
Since the 1900s, Japan had been on a mission to expand its territory.
One of the main motivations behind this was to get raw materials for its industry.
Japanese plantations in its colonial territories helped the country get materials like sugar
from Taiwan, soybeans from Manchuria and rice from Korea, and these commodities helped develop
the commercial side of Japan's economy.
Another reason for Japanese imperialism at the time was the view held by its military
leaders, who believed taking control of a larger area was important in order to secure
the country's position in the East Asia region.
Japanese nationalists promoted a government policy of what they called a Greater East
Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere meant to unify Asia under Emperor Hirohito's rule.
They had already succeeded in conquering Taiwan, the former German territories of Tsingtao
and some Micronesian islands, and annexing Korea; so it wasn't a surprise when Japan
started slowly expanding into China after its invasion of Manchuria in 1931.
In 1940 Japan invaded French Indochina in an effort to seize all imports into China,
including war supplies China had bought from the U.S.
At the same time, it also signed a pact with Germany and Italy, forming the Axis powers,
which guaranteed assistance if any of its members was attacked by a country not already
at war.
This was implicitly aimed at protecting themselves against the US joining the war.
Even though the US was officially neutral, when Japan invaded French Indochina, the US
started embargoing certain goods to Japan.
To make matters worse, the US started increasing its military presence in the Phillippines,
which escalated tensions due to its proximity to Japan.
But most importantly, the US implemented a strict oil embargo, soon joined by the UK
and the Netherlands, who stopped providing tin and rubber from their respective Asian
colonies.
This was a devastating blow to the Japanese, who needed oil, tin and rubber to continue
its war with China and had been importing almost 90% of its oil.
To give you an idea of how bad it was, the Imperial Japanese Navy estimated it had less
than two years of bunker oil remaining.
This move by the US, UK and the Netherlands forced Japan to either retreat or think of
alternative means of securing the oil it needed.
This led Japan to prepare to invade the Dutch East-Indies, which were oil rich areas.
The only problem was America.
The US had accumulated interests in the Pacific region, which Japan wasn't a fan of given
their fondness for unifying East Asia under their rule.
Also, the Japanese Navy was certain that invading the Dutch East Indies would cause the US to
declare war on Japan.
To put it simply, this would have sucked for Japan, as they would have likely lost given
that the US had a much stronger industry and resources.
Japan knew this so they decided the best choice was to launch a preemptive strike on the US
Naval fleet.
Even though this sounds like a crazy strategy, Japan had already used it successfully before.
Decades earlier, in 1904, Japan started a war with the Russian Empire over Manchuria
and Korea.
Everyone thought Russia would easily win, as their military power was overwhelmingly
bigger than Japan's.
However, Japan launched a crippling surprise attack on a major Russian naval base which
severely damaged Russia's navy and was enough to get Russia to agree to negotiate peace.
Japan wanted a repeat of this, and their idea was that a surprise attack on the US navy
would have similar results and keep America away from Japanese interests in the Pacific.
When you look at all of this, it seems strange that the US wasn't expecting an attack from
Japan.
Well, the truth is, it was.
The US knew war with Japan was inevitable, and was preparing for an impending attack.
In the Philippines.
It was much closer ground to Japan, and it seemed logical that the fight would take place
there.
And it wasn't just an assumption.
The US had a technology that intercepted and tracked Japanese naval radio traffic.
They could see a large movement of ships south towards the Philippines in the days leading
up to the attack on Pearl Harbor.
What they didn't know was that the Japanese knew this and had left the radio operators
from their carriers back in Japan to transmit false radio traffic.
In some ways the attack on the Pearl Harbor base in Hawaii was successful for Japan in
the sense that it was unexpected, and they did manage to damage a big part of the US
fleet; but ultimately a failure because the outcome was totally different than what they
intended.
The attack led to a strong American internal support for involvement in war.
The fact that the US was quick to rebuild its navy and lucky enough that its aircraft
carriers weren't in the harbor at the time of the attack meant that they remained significantly
stronger than Japan.
The war ended in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki accompanied by the Soviet declaration
of war and invasion of Manchuria on August 9th 1945, resulting in the Japanese announcement
of intent to surrender on August 15th 1945.

Electromagnetic Railguns - The U.S Military's future Superguns - 200 mile range Mach 7 projectiles - Duration: 10:22.
'Velocitas Eradico' sounds like sort of think Harry Potter might say
when fighting Voldemort which would be quite apt as the translation of
'Velocitas Eradico' is quickly get rid or in the vernacular speed kills and is
the motto for the no less futuristic US Navy electromagnetic railgun project. Now
before we set the comments on fire about the Latin it seems that 'Velocitas Eradicat'
would be a better translation of speed kills but I'll leave it to you
latin scholars out there to let me know in the comments. So back to the
railgun now some might be saying why do we need a new gun we have precision
guided missiles that can travel thousands of kilometers and the massive
16 of 18 inch guns used in the world war ii class battleships have been made
almost obsolete by the aforementioned missiles and the rest can be taken care
of by aircraft. In world war ii the weaponry was cheap and easy to make. Tens
of thousands of planes and tanks and millions of bombs and shells were
produced. The U.S. won the war because they could out manufacture the Germans
and the Japanese whilst keeping their manufacturing base safe. Modern warfare
is now about keeping the action at arm's length whilst keeping troops off the
ground where possible. Carpet bombing and massive artillery bombardments of large
areas doesn't always produce victories as was seen in Vietnam. Today precision
weapons reduce collateral damage but remote control drones, high-tech planes
and guided missiles are not only extremely expensive to buy but also to
develop in the first place. The US has a stockpile of around about 3,500 cruise
missiles at about $800,000 each and these can't be mass-produced by the
old style shells the same also applies to things like new planes but at much
higher costs. As a way to provide a lower cost fire support with less reliance on
air power or expensive missiles the US Navy was looking for a way of firing
hundreds or thousands of low-cost guided ordinance reaching up
to 200 miles or 320 kilometers from the beach on to thousands of targets a day.
Conventional large naval guns are limited by the rate of gas expansion
from the explosive used to propel the projectile giving them a range of around
45 kilometers but with muzzle velocities of around 800 meters per second. A
kinetic tank round has a muzzle velocity of up to 1,900 meters per second but has
a range of only a few kilometers. The goal of a railgun is to deliver a guided
projectile which is currently kinetic but could be explosive in the future at
around 2500 meters per second at up to 200 miles or 320 kilometers or over
current technology for range is around 120 kilometers. The current generation of
electromagnetic railguns can accelerate a 10 kilogram projectile from 0 to more
than mach 6 in just 10 milliseconds emerging from a barrel in a plume of fire
these are as close as you can get to man-made meteorites raining down on
enemy targets far beyond the horizon. Railguns might appear to be futuristic
weapons but the idea first appeared almost a hundred years ago when the
French inventorLouis Octave Fauchon-Villeplee submitted a
patent for 'Electrical apparatus for propelling projectiles' in 1919. By 1944
the Nazis had drawn up more advanced plans for an anti-aircraft railgun that
would use as much power as a large city that was however never built but it
caused a great deal of interest when the plans were discovered after the war. The
railgun works because of the Lorentz force discovered by engineers and
mathematicians in the 19th century and named after the Dutch Nobel Prize
winning physicist. The physics behind the railgun is simple enough to be
demonstrated by a home-built railgun. Two parallel electrically conductive rails
are connected to a large power source. one rail has positive
charge the other out a negative charge. To fire the gun
a moving armature or bridge connects the two completing the circuit this armature
can be either a metal projector or a thin film on the back of a nonmetallic
shell that carries the current across a plasma arc. When the electrical energy
travels through the circuit a very strong magnetic field is created and
pushes a projectile down the barrel. In the video the squarish looking object
being loaded into the gun is the sabot with the moving armature and the
projectile is placed inside that. When the Sabot exits the barrel it breaks
apart leaving the projectile which has been accelerated to around 2,500m/s.
The amount of electrical power discharged
during a firing is around five million amps at 1200 volts for about five
milliseconds which works out that around 30 megajoules of power. In theory this
force is scalable and could allow for an on-demand almost limitless acceleration
but in early railgun prototypes for forces was so great but it caused the
rails to move apart creating intense plasma arcing and friction that
destroyed the rails and the barrel making repairs necessary after every
shot. Engineers have continued to work on the technology and the electromagnetic
weaponry and propulsion are looking more and more attractive. For the same reason
laser weapons have also seen significant investment in the recent decades
famously as a way to shoot down incoming ICBMs. A high-power railgun could do the
same job and so in 2005 the American Office for Naval Research or ONR
contracted BAE Systems to produce a prototype. The electromagnetic laboratory
railgun was the result. It uses a 25 megawatt power plant enough to power
almost 19,000 homes to create policies of capacitor based power Phase two of BAE's
contract began in 2012 working towards a railgun with a repeat fire
capability to achieve this BAE's barrel design uses advanced materials to resist
ablation and fire five rounds per minute.
The range of a weapon will be around 125 miles or 200 kilometers firing at speeds
of up to 5,600 miles an hour at 9,000 km/h with high accuracy. Firing this rate
the total power of a weapon will be 32 mega joules of muzzle energy per minute
to achieve the 200 mile or 320 kilometer range the energy required will be around
64 mega joules but as yet there aren't the high-power capacitors or materials
available to survive the multiple firings per minute but this one
undoubtedly be developed as time goes by. Currently only the Zumwalt-class
destroyers of the US Navy were there 78 megawatts of power have enough capacity
to power over 32 Mega Joule rail guns but other ships are looking at being
upgraded. General Atomics have also produced a
version called the Blitzer which is looking to make both land and ship based.
Land bombardments aren't the only use for Navy is looking at because the speed
of a projectile is so high it could intercept an incoming supersonic
anti-ship cruise missile at a distance much farther away than relying upon
traditional anti-missile systems or phalanx guns. This ability could also be
used against planes or even ballistic missiles by having a proximity exploding
projectile it doesn't have to score a direct hit it explodes just before
interception to create a cloud of hypersonic shrapnel to hit a much larger
target area. Another advantage is that the rail guns projectiles are compact a
ship could hold enough to carry out more Shore bombardments than an aircraft
carrier full of planes. With compact ammunition the practical scale of a
railgun weapon becomes more viable and on extended operations gives it a huge
advantage in firepower. Another advantage of kinetic weapons without warheads is
that if the ship were to be hit there is much less chance of a catastrophic ammo
explosion like those which destroyed ships in the past like HMS hood and the
HMS barham. In the future rail guns might be miniaturized
and find their way onto tanks and aircraft but as a ground-based platform
there are non-military uses that could accelerate the development of a useful
working railguns at NASA's Applied Physics Laboratory at the Kennedy Space
Center studies investigating using electromagnetic propulsion to accelerate
a wedge-shaped spacecraft and mac-10 on a trajectory high into the atmosphere.
Then the spacecraft onboard potion would engage to circularise delivering a
payload into orbit for a fraction of a cost of a traditional launch. NASA has a
significant body of existing technology to draw on such as the x43 or the X51
scramjet power vehicles which have been shown to work in the real world.
Whether for peaceful or destructive applications the investment in rail gun
technology is likely to make its way from science fiction into practical use
in the next decade or so without a doubt these machines will put on a spectacular
show as they accelerate into an electrified future. So thanks watching

Russia says there is NO co-operation with United States over North Korea war threat - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 2:28.
Russia says there is NO co-operation with US over North Korea war threat
RUSSIA has claimed they are not co-operating with the US over the North Korea crisis as
fears escalate over World War 3.
Tensions have escalated between the US and Kim Jong-un's regime after a series of reckless
missile tests.
But President Donald Trump and Russian Premier Vladimir Putin have not yet addressed the
issue together.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: "There is no co-operation so far.
Only periodic exchanges of views."
The pair will meet at an Asian economic summit in Vietnam next week and there is a "great
possibility" they will tackle the issue.
North Korea today warned its nuclear arsenal is in its "final stage" as Kim rules out
talks with the US.
A chilling commentary from the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) says: "It (the
US) had better stop daydreaming of denuclearisation talks with us.
It comes as Trump sets off on a whirlwind tour of Asia to discuss North Korea's nukes
with diferent leaders.
He is due to visit Vietnam on November 9 and 10 during his 10-day tour, which kicked off
with a trip to Pearl Harbour in Hawaii yesterday.
Trump previously warned the communist state of a "very unpleasant" outcome should talks
to resolve the crisis fail, but stressed he will endevour to find a solution.
Putin ordered two nuclear bombers to fly towards a US aircraft carrier stationed near North
Korea in a brazen display of his air power last week.
Two F/A-18 fighter jets scrambled to escort the Russian TU-95 bombers away from the warship
on Sunday, US defence officials said.
Trump has sent three aircraft carriers – the USS Ronald Reagan, USS Theodore Roosevelt
and USS Nimitz – to the region.

It's Official!
Look What Trump Just Did To The Unemployment Rate In The US – He Broke a 17 Year Old
Record!
This is how you Make America Great Again!
The United States unemployment rate fell to its lowest level in nearly 17 years during
the month of October.
While at the same time job creation continued climbing steadily after the two devastating
hurricanes in Texas and Puerto Rico hit us.
The jobless rate fell to 4.1 percent, down a tenth of a point from just a month ago,
the lowest the US economy has seen since before the dot-com bubble burst back in December
of 2000.
Job creators added 261,000 net new jobs as businesses reopened in the wake of Hurricanes
Harvey and Irma in just those areas alone.
The result showed US job markets are in good health easily bouncing back from the storms
that paused the energy hub in southeast Texas and forced millions of Floridians to have
to flee their homes back in September.
The data for that month also turned out not be as negative as was initially reported where
8,000 new jobs created rather than a loss of 33,000 positions as was predicted initially.
Now see folks?
What the US really needed wasn't so-called "Recovery Summer" fake narratives that
never came from the Barack Hussein Obama administration.
We needed a real president, one who understands business, capitalism and the American way.
All a president had to do is unlock the chains of regulations and let the American economy
and its people do their thing.
Via Politico in 2010:
Obama, Biden declare 'Recovery Summer'
Vice President Joe Biden today will kick off the Obama administration's "Recovery Summer,"
a six-week-long push designed to highlight the jobs accompanying a surge in stimulus-funded
projects to improve highways, parks, drinking water and other public works.
David Axelrod, a senior adviser to the president, said: "This summer will be the most active
Recovery Act season yet, with thousands of highly-visible road, bridge, water and other
infrastructure projects breaking ground across the country, giving the American people a
first-hand look at the Recovery Act in their own backyards and making it crystal clear
what the cost would have been of doing nothing."
Biden, President Barack Obama and other administration officials will travel to more than two dozen
Recovery Act project sites in coming weeks.
On Friday, the president will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to mark the groundbreaking of the 10,000th
Recovery Act road project to get under way.
The administration says the road improvement project in downtown Columbus is expected to
create over 300 construction jobs, and will contribute to a broader economic development
effort in the area around Nationwide Children's Hospital.
On Monday, Biden will travel to Midland, Mich., for the groundbreaking of the new Dow Kokam
advanced battery manufacturing facility – a project made possible by a $161 million Recovery
Act advanced battery grant awarded last year.
In addition to creating 1,000 construction jobs, Dow says the project will eventually
employ 800 permanent manufacturing workers.
Axelrod continued: "In the face of the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression,
Republicans in Congress chose to play politics with economic recovery and declared the Recovery
Act a failure before it even began.
They made a cynical bet that if the President fails, they win.
Democrats chose to act by tackling the crisis head-on.
Just over a year later, the Recovery Act is putting millions of Americans to work and
helping the economy grow again.
But our work is far from over:"
Kevin Smith, a spokesman for House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), responded: "The
president's trillion-dollar 'stimulus' has failed to meet his most basic promises
on job creation, and Axelrod knows that.
We've lost 3 million jobs since the 'stimulus' was enacted.
Yet another desperate sales pitch about the virtues of massive government spending and
piling up more debt on our kids and grandkids isn't going to fool anyone."
The vice president on Thursday will present Obama with a report laying out a spike in
stimulus activity this summer, and how it will contribute to a steady climb to a total
of 3.5 million Recovery Act jobs by the end of the year.
Highlights:
" Transportation: There will be six times as many highway projects underway in July
2010 as in July 2009 – projects will surge from 1,750 last summer to over 10,000 this
summer.
And while last summer we improved about 9,000 miles of highway, this summer we'll improve
over 30,000 miles – that's the equivalent of ten cross-country road trips on improved
highways.
" Clean and Drinking Water: This summer over 3,000 clean and drinking water projects
will have started versus just over 100 last summer – that's nearly 30 times as many.
Let us hope and pray that the 8 long dark years of the Barry Soetoro administration
serve as a lesson to the American voters.
It's better to vote for a candidate because of the content of his/her character and experience,
not just because of the color of his skin or, even worse because he's considered "cool."
Obama will go down in history as the president that "couldn't" but was given more than
enough chances because of the color of his skin.
That's a sad footnote in US history.

United States fears North Korea will fire NUKE as greeting present for Trump - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 2:27.
US fears North Korea will fire NUKE as greeting present for Trump
TOP White House officials have warned that Kim Jong-un may launch a nuclear bomb when
US President Donald Trump visits the communist leader's most hated enemies this month.
There are huge concerns that tubby tyrant Kim will carry out a missile test in a bid
to goad the Donald during either his visit to Japan or South Korea.
The US supremo has fired aggressive taunts Kim's way, including his bold threat to
unleash "fire and fury" against the North.
Patrick Cronin, senior director of the Asia-Pacific Security Programme, said the US needed to
be prepared for a reckless act from Pyongyang.
He added: "The biggest challenge may be crisis management.
We have to be ready for how we deal with the unexpected."
Adam Mount, a senior fellow at the Federation of American Scientists, said: "I wouldn't
be surprised in the slightest to see North Korea do a missile test during the trip."
But Kim's mouthpiece has been keen to blame any future conflict on the Trump's administration,
calling it "gangster-like".
KCNA fumed: "The reality clearly shows that the gangster-like US imperialists are the
very ones who are aggravating the situation of the Korean Peninsula and seeking to ignite
a nuclear war."
Pyongyang previously warned its nuclear arsenal is in its "final stage" after Kim ruled
out talks with the US.
The fiery rhetoric comes as tensions escalate between the hermit kingdom and the West.
Last week, the regime held extremely rare mass evacuations and blackout drills in preparation
for an imminent war.
Kim has carried out six nuclear missile tests this year and the US and its allies have since
stepped up military drills in the region.

'Don't underestimate US' Trump ramps up pressure on North Korea as WW3 fears mount - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 2:34.
'Don't underestimate US' Trump ramps up pressure on North Korea as WW3 fears mount
DONALD Trump piled pressure on North Korean leader Kim Jong-un when he arrived in Japan,
warning "no dictator" should underestimate the US.
The US president kicked off his 12-day Asian tour to present a united front with Japanese
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe amid tensions with the hermit kingdom over its nuclear and missile
tests.
Trump has rattled some allies with his vow to "totally destroy" North Korea if he
threatens the US and his dismissal of tyrant Kim as a "rocket man" on a suicide mission.
Today the Donald told hundreds of US and Japanese troops "No dictator, no regime, no nation
should ever underestimate American resolve".
He added: "Every once in a while, in the past, they underestimated us.
It was not pleasant for them, was it?"
Pyongyang has put the US and its allies on high alert after it fired several missiles
over Japan, which prompted Trump to step up military drills in the region.
Recently the US sent two strategic bombers over South Korea, which further raised tensions
with the secretive North.
Trump said: "We will never yield, never waver and never falter in defence of our freedom."
On Air Force One he added that a decision would be made soon on whether to add North
Korea to a list of state sponsors of terrorism.
Pyongyang is known to have developed strong ties with Iran, which the US claims exports
terrorists and funds radical Islamic jihadis across the Middle East.
Trump said he wanted his government to take a different approach to dealing with issues
after years of what he called "total weakness".
He added: "We want to get it solved.
It's a big problem for our country and the world, and we want to get it solved."

McCain Blasts US in Speech to Naval Academy, "No More America First" - Duration: 4:28.
McCain Blasts US in Speech to Naval Academy, "No More America First".
Arizona Sen. John McCain took another swipe at Trump administration policy in a speech
to the U.S. Naval Academy, where he slammed both isolationism and nationalism, ideas he
said are ascendant within the President Trump's White House.
In the speech to the midshipmen in Annapolis, Maryland, on Monday, the Senate Armed Services
Committee chairman ripped into the Trump administration's policies, although — taking a Voldemort-like
approach that's become habitual among anti-Trump conservatives — he never mentioned the president's
name.
McCain contrasted the "hopeful atmosphere of 1991" after the fall of the Soviet Union
with "the current circumstances of our world," according to USNI News.
"We have gone from an interval when the global success of democracy seemed assured
to a time in which the seductions of authoritarian rule find favor with many; when self-interested
leadership excuses naked aggression with weak rationalizations; when ethnic grievances haunt
the old and religious fanaticism fires the minds of the misguided young," McCain said.
"We are asleep to the necessity of our leadership, and to the opportunities and real dangers
of this world," he continued.
"We are asleep in our echo chambers, where our views are always affirmed and information
that contradicts them is always fake.
We are asleep in our polarized politics, which exaggerates our differences, looks for scapegoats
instead of answers."
McCain then went on to attack attributes (isolationism, protectionism) and straw men (conspiracy theories,
propaganda) commonly associated with the Trump administration.
"I believe in Americans.
We're capable of better.
I've seen it," the Arizona senator said.
"We're hopeful, compassionate people.
And we still have leaders who will uphold the values that made America great, and a
beacon to the oppressed.
"But I don't take that for granted.
We have to fight.
We have to fight against propaganda and crackpot conspiracy theories.
We have to fight isolationism, protectionism, and nativism."
In a part of his speech where he contrasted the values of post-World War II statesmen
with the current administration, he refused to mention the latter by name — although
he did take aim at one of its most identifiable slogans.
McCain said that the statesmen had come to the conclusion "that the American example
and American leadership are indispensable to securing a peaceful and prosperous future.
Our failure to remain engaged in Europe and enforce the hard-won peace of 1918 had made
that clear.
There could be no more isolationism, no more tired resignation — no more 'America First.'"
McCain, of course, is equating — possibly deliberately and dishonestly — Trump's
"America First" with the America First Committee, a WWII-era anti-war, isolationist
group.
This group, led by Sears Roebuck executive Robert E. Wood and aviation hero Charles Lindbergh,
vociferously opposed entry into the war against Hitler's Germany for reasons that were not
always admirable or moral.
The comparisons between a slogan meant to emphasize what many conservatives feel was
the Obama administration's excessive accommodation to internationalism and globalism with a discredited
movement that sought to stay out of an active war waged by fascist, racist, genocidal powers
is, one would hope, nothing more than rhetoric.
Judging by McCain's recent history with the Trump administration — he's killed
the Republican bill to replace Obamacare and intimated he found the Obama administration
more up to his liking, for instance — one is not inclined to give him the benefit of
the doubt.
John McCain has served our country and the Republican Party well.
We wish him the best in his fight against cancer.
However, I'm getting a bit sick of having to append those caveats onto the end of every
single story involving something the Arizona lawmaker has done to blight the conservative
cause or blunt the edge of the Trump agenda.
Let's face facts: McCain has become an incorrigible RINO, wholly determined to act as a roadblock
to his party's efforts to undo the damage of the Obama era.
Part of this seems to involve smearing the president at every opportunity possible.
If John McCain really wants to do something great for America, we have a simple suggestion
for him: Retirement.

North Korea SURROUNDED: US warships, bombers, missiles and 80,000 soldiers READY
NORTH Korea is nearly totally surrounded by a wall of US warships, bombers and missiles
with more than 80,000 soldiers on alert as Donald Trump heads for Asia.
The US President is jetting into the Pacific this week for a whistle-stop tour of the nations
surrounding North Korea.
Trump will be popping in for one-on-one meetings with the leaders of China, South Korea and
Japan – with Kim Jong-un's nukes right at the top of the agenda.
At his back with be a the world's biggest military war machine – poised to strike
should the crisis go south with North Korea.
He visited the US Pacific Command just days ago – who will oversee every single vessel,
plane and soldier sitting in a ring of steel around Kim.
Daily Star Online can now reveal the monstrous arsenal at Trump's fingertips as he faces
down North Korea.
US forces have been packing into the region as the tensions are set to snap with North
Korea over its quest for ICBM.
Three US aircraft carriers are currently operating in the Pacific in an colossal flex of Trump's
military biceps.
USS Nimitz, USS Theodore Roosevelt and USS Ronald Reagan became the first trio of carriers
to operate in the region for a decade.
Each of these three warship bring with it a fully stocked wing of up to 90 warplanes
and choppers.
While steaming alongside are their escorts of destroyers and submarines making up the
US's mighty carrier strike groups.
The US's 7th Fleet has its headquarters in Japan – and brings up to 70 ships and
submarines under its command, including 14 missile-packed destroyers.
Just this week, a squadron of 12 F-35 fighter planes screamed over the Pacific and landed
at their new base in Japan.
More than 100 bases are scattered across the islands, with around 50,000 servicemen stationed
there.
Meanwhile, right on Kim's doorstep there are more than 30,000 US soldiers stations
in bases in South Korea.
More than 300 tanks are stationed just a stone's throw from North Korea, along with armoured
vehicles and artillery.
And then there is the thorn in Kim's side Guam, which he regularly threatened to launch
missiles at.
The island paradise hides the US's fleet of nuclear-capable B-2 bombers, as well bunk
busting B-1B Lancers.
Colossal B-52 Stratofortress warplanes also can bee seen rolling around Andersen Air Force
Base.
Each of these is capable of carrying 70,000 lbs of bombs and 20 cruise missiles.
Tensions have reached new heights as Trump makes his first ever visit to Asia – with
Kim threatening to fire the "Juche Bird".
The missile would fly a live nuclear warhead into the heart of the Pacific and explode,
a provocation that could start World War 3.
Trump will be in Asia until November 13 – finishing his tour with trips to Vietnam and the Philippines.

North Korea WARNING: Rogue state ready to strike US with THERMONUCLEAR weapons - Duration: 3:36.
North Korea WARNING: Rogue state ready to strike US with THERMONUCLEAR weapons
NORTH KOREA is "on the verge" of developing nuclear weapons that could hit the continental
United States, former US ambassador John Bolton warned.
North Korea could be able to strike the United States with nuclear weapons in the near future
if China fails to intervene and deal with the rogue state.
Despite international warnings, North Korea has upped its aggressive rhetoric against
the US and its Asian allies, sparking fears World War 3 could be declared at any moment.
Mr Bolton warned the US might face all-out war if President Donald Trump fails to solidify
the military partnership with China, North Korea's only ally in Asia.
He said: "There is no more time to deal with North Korea.
They are on the verge of getting a deliverable capability to hit us with thermonuclear weapons
anywhere in the continental United States.
"It's really time for China to tell us whether they are serious or not about this otherwise
the President is going to have to look to act unilaterally to protect the American civilian
population."
The former US ambassador to the UN said China would play a major role in re-establishing
a diplomatic discussion between North Korea and the international community.
Speaking to Fox News, Mr Bolton added: "China has been jiving the United States for 25 years.
They said repeatedly they don't want North Korea to have nuclear weapons but they have
not followed through on their unique capability to force North Korea to that.
"They upped the sanctions temporarily and then when the US turns its eyes away, it's
back to business as usual.
That's why this trip to China by President Trump is so important."
President Trump kickstarted his tour of Asia with a brief visit to the USS Arizona Memorial
in Pearl Harbour to commemorate the victims of the Japanese attack that drew the US into
World War 2.
The trip, the longest tour of Asia by a US president in 25 years, comes at a time of
heightened tension between Washington and Pyongyang.
The sabre-rattling between Mr Trump and Kim Jong-un amid the fears of World War 3 has
been a cause of concern around the world.
Malcolm Davis, a senior analyst with the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, warned war could
begin within the year.
He said: "We have to prepare for that possibility, perhaps, within the next 12 months.
"I think the ideal solution would be for China to deal with Kim Jong-un and his regime decisively.
They certainly have it in their interests to ensure the regime or North Korea doesn't
collapse.
That doesn't necessarily mean Kim Jong-un has to be at the head of that regime.
South Korean intelligence found North Korea is ready to carry out yet another nuclear
test despite suffering major damage to its main testing facility in Punggye-ri.
Seoul's National Intelligence Service said: "There is a possibility of a new missile launch
given the active movement of vehicles around the missile research institute in Pyongyang."
Recent tests carried out at Punggye-ri in early September registered as a 5.7 magnitude
earthquake by the South Korean government.

US Maintains Upper Hand in Sea Dominance With Release of New Stealth Sub - Duration: 2:47.
When the USS South Dakota officially joins the U.S. Navy's fleet in 2018, it'll be
more than just another vessel created to protect the lives and freedom of Americans.
It's touted to be the most advanced submarine on earth, CNN reports.
The South Dakota, a Virginia-class submarine, is going to be among the quietest of the quiet,
because when comes to submarines, stealth is key.
A submarine's strategic value is derived from its ability to move wherever it has to
without being tracked — if a submarine is unable to navigate enemy waters to do reconnaissance,
attack, or deliver personnel, its worth is greatly deteriorated.
However, submarines that are quiet and capable they can be some of the most dangerous weapons
in any nation's arsenal
Virginia-class submarines are among the best.
"Virginia-class submarines are built to operate in the world's littoral and deep
waters while conducting anti-submarine warfare; anti-surface ship warfare; strike warfare;
special operation forces support; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance; irregular
warfare; and mine warfare missions," the United States Navy said in a statement.
"Their inherent stealth, endurance, mobility, and firepower directly enable them to support
five of the six maritime strategy core capabilities – sea control, power projection, forward
presence, maritime security, and deterrence."
The South Dakota is reportedly the 17th Virginia-class submarine, and it is going to pave the way
for continued U.S. naval dominance for decades to come.
"Lessons learned from South Dakota will be incorporated into… later Virginia Class
submarines, increasing our undersea domain advantage and ensuring our dominance through
the mid-century and beyond," Naval Sea Systems Command Spokeswoman Colleen O'Rourke said
according to Scout Warrior.
The South Dakota will join a Navy fleet working hard to maintain its underwater lead over
China and Russia.
According to CNN, recent advances made by the two powers have sparked concern about
the continuance of undersea dominance, and submarines like the soon-to-be-commissioned
USS South Dakota are exactly what America needs to keep rival nations in check.
With all that's going in the world, America needs the best navy on earth.
We have it, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
