I think perfectionism is... I don't like to use that word.

Because it sets a limit

to the creative process.

A limiter.

I don't think perfectionism belongs in a creative profession

Because being creative is about stimulating your brain, and play

before the other part of the brain breaks in and criticize

Which is perfectionism.

Perfectionism should be used when you're finishing a project

Then you can be a perfectionist.

I know a thing about that, cause I'm a musician

I know about perfection anxiety, cause I wanted to be the worlds best musician

The worlds best trombonist.

The only advantage was that I became really good at playing it

But I had no happiness around it.

The day that I faced my biggest vulnerability

I'm also bipolar, so I just had to face it

Then I faced a calmness like never before

And I accepted that I would never be the best musician that is

So the perfectionist anxiety disappeared

when I dared to be myself.

- Hello, thank you for having me.

So quickly I want to introduce you about the written work,

about what you do,

but Crystal you are the owner of Crystal Richard and Co.

On one hand, and you are the founder and blogger

of the East Coast Mermaid, that I love.

I love your T-shirts and all the goodies that you sell.

Why am I bringing you here today is because

you were part of a big, big social media

celebration in California this month,

which is an amazing--

I think we call it the Oscars of social media.

- Oh definitely.

- Yeah, so maybe let's start.

Could you tell us more about who you are, Crystal?

- Yeah, as you mentioned,

I am the owner of Crystal Richard and Co.,

which is a global digital PR and

marketing consulting business.

So, I work with startups, tech entrepreneurs, brands,

all around the world to help them get media coverage,

to get their content placed in top publications.

I have some clients that write for Entrepreneur,

I have some that write for Forbes.

I get them into things like GQ,

or Vogue, whatever their heart desires.

I get to make them famous and dreams come true,

which I love.

Yeah, I work with people around the world.

I have clients currently ranging from

California to Colorado to France,

and I do have some local ones too.

It's a pretty wild thing for me to get up

everyday and get to do what I love.

I'm not French.

And I'm also the founder of East Coast Mermaid,

which is my lifestyle and travel blog

where I talk about everything from

life on the East Coast, traveling on the East Coast,

traveling far away.

I'm heading to Peru next week,

and can't wait to share a behind the scenes look

at that adventure,

just talking about lifestyle stuff on there.

So, I keep busy.

I was saying that there was this big celebration

of everything social media, marketing.

I don't want to take too much of your time,

but if there is one quick way to describe

the vibes over there,

what would it be?

- So much energy.

The vibe was amazing.

You get there and you just feel like

you're with your people,

especially if you have a brand or you do anything online.

When you get there, you feel like--

they've got people walking around

just randomly giving you high fives.

It took me a while to get used to that

'cause I'd be walking down the hall,

figuring out where I was off to next,

and suddenly I'd have this guy in my face,

What's so weird or gross about a sonogram?

>> Well, I mean, because you're a grown woman.

This isn't boring yet, why are you putting the picture on there.

>> Yeah.

>> That's odd.

>> I have a problem with that because of the cake, the frosting.

When somebody puts too much frosting on the cake,

you can already feel like, I am getting a cavity just looking at it.

>> Yes.

>> Mm-hm.

>> But my birthday was a while ago and

my friends got me a cake with a set of panda eyes on it, my own set.

>> Yes, I've seen it.

>> And I looked at it and I was like, damn, I look delicious.

And I enjoyed that cake.

It was my own, maybe moms can see their cake and I don't know?

>> I think we just trying take it too far with birth.

First, is the gender reveal with the blue and the green, whatever the colors.

>> Have you ever seen the cake where the lady is actually giving birth?

>> Yeah, that's even worse.

>> You guys haven't seeing that,

Google that, the cake spreads actually like legs and baby.

>> Are you serious?

>> Yes.

>> A lot red frosty.

>> And black icing for the tear area.

Who would wanna eat that?

Well, some but you know what I mean.

The 11 London Tory MPs who backed Remain should vote to stay in a customs union or risk the party being punished at the ballot box for Brexit, Sadiq Khan said today.

The Mayor urged the backbenchers to "put their city and their country ahead of their party" when they finally get a parliamentary vote on the key issue.

He warned them that London, which voted to stay in the European Union, would view local elections in May as the "last chance" to send a message over the referendum.

However, he defended the MPs against attacks from Brexiteers that they would become "enemies of the people" if they supported a customs union — insisting that they "understood" the significance of the vote.

It came as Mr Khan said he was "really encouraged" by the national Labour party's shift towards supporting a  customs union, announced by Jeremy Corbyn earlier this month, and pledged to continue using "whatever levers I have" on Brexit.

He hinted that Labour's own position on leaving the EU could "evolve" further — even to the point of backing staying in the single market.

"There's a long way to go until the movie ends," he said. .

He praised Mr Corbyn for being a "pragmatist" who would "weaponise" a soft Brexit, despite the Labour leader's long-held Euroscepticism.

"It's a moving ball in terms of what's happening with the EU, he should be fleet-footed as well," he added. .

In a wide-ranging interview with the Evening Standard, Mr Khan also:.

Praised hard-Left group Momentum for getting more young people involved in politics.

Claimed Labour was not going to win the Tory "crown jewel" boroughs of Westminster, Wandsworth and Kensington & Chelsea in the May local elections.

Became the latest senior Labour  figure to back Theresa May's stance against Russia over the Salisbury nerve agent attack.

Criticised the Government for failing to prevent London becoming the world's money-laundering capital.

Warned social media giants Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to "raise their game" on hate speech or else the Government would be forced to legislate.

The Mayor's principal focus was on securing the softest possible Brexit for Londoners.

He singled out the Tory Remain MPs in the capital who could be persuaded to vote for an amendment to the Government's trade bill that is designed to force Mrs May to commit to staying inside a customs union post-Brexit.

Former ministers Stephen Hammond and Bob Neill are among those who have already said they would do so with other MPs rumoured to be prepared to join the rebellion. .

Mr Khan hopes to put pressure on other Remainers including former ministers James Brokenshire and Justine Greening, as well as David Evenett, Mark Field, Mike Freer, Greg Hands, Nick Hurd, Jo Johnson and Chris Philp.

Mr Khan added: "The election on May 3 is the last chance Londoners will have to express an opinion on how the Government is negotiating with the EU.".
