Look at her then teasing the right

There's the eternal paradox

What are we seein'?

Is she gay?? (Hides)

Of course she's gay!

Or just capricious?

Gay or just capricious?

It's hard to guarantee

Is she gay or just capricious?

Well, hey, don't look at me!

You see SM bring their girls up different

They walk across the stage

just to hit each other's butt

and sometimes thighs, the inner thighs

Gay or just capricious?

The answer could take weeks

They will stare at girls and gulp

but refuse to lie on the same bed

Gay or just capricious

So many shades of grey

I heard their closest friends too are reckless wild and gay

Is she gay or just capricious, or - ?

There! Right There!

Look at how she beats girls up

Lesbians would never be like that

She's just doing that for her job

That girl's not gay, I say, no way

That is the elephant in the room

Well is it relevant to presume

This girl who won't even go easy on a granny

Is automatically, radically

Ironically, chronically

Certainly, flirtingly

Genetically, medically

Gay, offically gay

Swishily gay, gay, gay, gay...

Damn it!

Gay or just capricious?

So stylish and relaxed

Is she gay or just capricious?

I knew her hand beams laser

But SM bring their girls up different there

It's culturally diverse

It's not a fashion curse

If she's short but still loves to wear Converse

Gay or just exotic

I still can't crack the code

Yeah, her sweet voice is hypnotic

But she is a rapper though

Huh

Gay or just capricious?

So many shades of grey

So what about let me this sexy girl go give a try and tempt her right away

Is she gay or just capricious?

Gay or just capricious?

gay or just capri- ?

Wait a minute

Give me a chance to crack this girl

I have an idea I'd like to try

The floor is yours

So, Miss Bae

You and your members are very close

You have debuted for...?

4 years

The way Daegu girls addresses their partners is...?

Honey

And the way you call Kang Seulgi in private is...?

Honey

I-I, sorry!

I misunderstand!

I was confused because of your previous question

Kang Seulgi is my best friend

You bastard!

You lying bastard!

That's it, I no cover for you no more!

Peoples, I have a big announcement

This girl is gay AND so capricious

And neither is disgrace

You gotta stop your bein' a completely closet case

It's me, not him she's seein'

No matter what she say

I swear she doesn't have his contact methods in any possible way

You are so gay, you big parfait

You flaming one (wo)man cabaret

I'm straight!

You were not yesterday

So if I may, I'm proud to say

She's gay

and so capricious

She's gay

and so capricious

She's gay (and so capricious)

Fine, okay, I'm gay

Which Pays More, 100% Scheduler or TDIU? - Duration: 2:36.

Hey veterans, Travis Studdard, veterans disability attorney.

Back at you today with another question and answer for you on a question that I get with

some regularity from veterans who are asking about TDIU benefits and that is this question

right here.

Which one pays more?

100% scheduler rating or a 100% under TDIU, which is, again, is for someone who is unemployable

due to service connected disabilities.

And the answer is, they pay the same.

100% is 100% under VA law.

Currently, 100% scheduler or TDIU is roughly $2915 a month for a single veteran or for

a veteran with a spouse, someone with a ... married veteran it is $3,078 a month.

So, again, this is a considerable amount of money on a monthly basis for a service connected

veteran.

But again, it's the same either way so there's no monetary advantage from doing it under

scheduler criteria, again, and by that I mean all of your disabilities adding up to 100%

combined versus doing it on an unemployability basis, which again is, showing that while

you are, by math, rated under 100%, the total net effect is that you're unemployable and

should be paid at 100%.

So, again, it's different routes to the same result, same monetary benefit, it's just a

different means of proving your entitlement to that monthly benefit.

So, again, no dollar advantage one way or the other.

There are some reasons why veterans prefer one or the other over the other but, we won't

get into that here.

Maybe we can cover than in an upcoming video series and so look for that or lookout for

some other videos we may do on TDIU or other disability compensation topics.

Quick and Easy Homemade Pita Pizza | Healthy Snack or Meal Recipe - Duration: 6:15.

Hi guys!

Today we are going to be making pita pizza's.

And these are actually a really great snack if you are looking for something simple and

quick to make.

And for us, we actually find since our kids are older they are looking for more and more

reasons to help us out in the kitchen.

So, what you're going to need are just some peppers.

Whatever kind are your favorite.

Whatever color.

Two onions, some carrots, some Muenster cheese, black pepper, Italian seasoning, oregano, salt and

of course, pita bread.

So first thing we are going to do, let's actually start chopping up some of the peppers.

Do you want to help me?

Sounds good.

So growing up, did you often make your pizzas or did you guys order out a lot for pizzas?

We did both.

My dad is Italian.

So we definitely had a lot of pasta and pizza.

Really?

Did you know that I my dad is Italian too?

Is that why we look like twins?

It must be!

Because we look the same right?

I'm sure everyone can totally tell we are Italian too.

I'm sure that's the first thing they think of when they see us.

People confuse me with you all the time.

Yep.

So does your dad speak any Italian?

No.

Does your dad?

Only the bad words.

So would your kids eat all these good veggies on their pizza?

My daughter will.

She loves peppers and onions and carrots.

She is a big veggie kid.

How about yours?

Yeah, mine are pretty good actually.

They've gotten a lot better with it.

They would probably go for peppers and onions and mushrooms even you could add.

So you know what, I haven't tried this with them but I think they would give it a shot.

It seems like it would be a nice weekend lunch idea.

You know when you don't want to go out and order pizza.

Exactly!

You could make something like this with the kids.

You know, they would probably love it.

Absolutely!

And when they get good enough at it you just tell them that "Mommy really wants a pita

pizza for lunch. Could you make it for me?" Oh, I love that idea!

So the next thing you just want to go ahead and slice up your onions.

Thank you very much.

And try not to cry.

So next we have our carrots.

I actually like to peel thin slices of carrot for my pizza.

And the reason is because your cooking this for a short time.

Just long enough to melt the cheese.

That if you were to have thin coin shaped slices of carrot.

The carrot would stay really hard.

It really wouldn't cook through.

By doing this, and having these thin little strips of carrot.

It will make sure that they taste really good and are well cooked on your pizza.

So I'll go ahead and peel some carrot pieces and this will be part of our pizza topping.

And really you can add so many different things to this pita pizza.

We could add mushrooms, we could add pepperoni if you wanted some meat on it.

Pepperoncini's I think are good for those who like spicy pizzas.

Absolutely!

Anything really would be good.

This is just the way that I like it.

Ok so we don't need a lot of carrot.

Ok finally, we are going to start putting our ingredients on our little pitas.

So this one is for you.

Thank you.

Now just like a deep dish pizza, we are actually going to first put our ingredients on and

then we're going to actually put our muenster cheese on last.

So, whatever your heart desires.

This is the part to that's great to do with the kids because you can just lay out a baking

sheet with the pizza and just have them put all their toppings on top. And you know make

it the way that they like.

Like a pizza bar.

Ok now that we've got all of our ingredients.

The next thing are some of the spices.

We have black pepper, Italian seasoning, oregano and some salt.

Go ahead.

Thank you.

Spice it up!

Trade you.

And for the grand finale.

The cheese! Who doesn't like cheese? Oh yeah!

Thank you.

Just kind of lay it on to cover as much of the pita pizza as you can.

And you can do one slice or two. It looks like.

I think I'm going to go with one.

Oh actually that was two. Oops.

There we go.

Looks good already.

Great.

So you want to go ahead and preheat your oven to 400 degrees and then let it cook for about

10 minutes.

Ok, so that is it!

We hope it was simple.

We hope you enjoy and we look forward to seeing you guys again next week.

If you like this video, please give it a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe.

Is it time to for lunch yet? It is!

Cheers!

Hmmmm.

It's still HOT!

Ready.

Ouch! It's burning me!

Don't really bite. It's a picture. Oh!

I thought we were really eating. Ok I'm sorry.

Almost done with this Instagram pic.

So just hold the bite.

It's like me with the chocolate.

How to Hide Apps on iPhone or iPad - Duration: 5:40.

Hi.

I'm Max Dalton, and in this video I'm going to talk through how to hide apps on your iPhone

or iPad.

People snooping through the apps on your iPhone or iPad is annoying.

Hiding the apps through parental restrictions or un-syncing the apps from your phone are

two extreme and time-consuming ways to go about this.

However, if you don't want to have to go through the process of enabling permissions for that

app each time you want to use it, or re-sync it with your device, you can put it on a home

page by itself, bury it on a page by itself within a folder with a bunch of other apps,

hide it from the device's general search, or do all three.

This video will walk you through how to do all three.

The first option is to simply hide your app on a page by itself at the end of your list

of home screens.

Let's walk through the steps to do that.

Step 1.

Locate the app you want to hide on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch home screen.

In this example, I'll choose to hide the Indeed Jobs app.

Step 2.

Hold your finger against that specific app until all of the apps on your device's home

screen start to wiggle.

Step 3.

Press your finger against the app you want to hide until it grows slightly larger than

its normal size.

Step 4.

Continuing to hold your finger against the app, move the app to the far right side of

your device's screen.

The app will move on to the next screen.

Step 5.

Continue positioning your app against the far right edge of the screen until it is on

a page by itself.

You can go all the way out to 11 pages, but after you press the Home button to lock your

apps in place, your app will automatically be moved on to the page immediately after

the previous page with an app on it.

For example, if you have four pages of apps and you move the app you want to hide out

to the eleventh page, when you lock the apps in place the app you want to hide will be

automatically moved to the fifth page so there are no blank page gaps.

That app should now be on the last page, by itself.

However, if you still want to take further precautions, you can create a folder, load

it with filler apps, and then move the app you want to hide on a page by itself in the

folder.

Let's walk through the steps to do that.

Step 1.

Download some apps you don't plan on actually using to take up space in the folder.

I'd recommend downloading roughly 20 apps that are smaller in size, which will let you

put the app you want to hide on the third or fourth page in the folder.

Step 2.

Move the apps to be on the same page as the app you want to hide, which in this example

is the Indeed Jobs app.

Step 3.

Hold your finger against any of the apps until all of the apps start to wiggle.

Step 4.

Hold your finger against any one of the apps and move it on top of another app.

The two apps will be moved into the same box, creating a folder.

The folder containing the apps will expand and appear on the screen, with the name of

the folder appearing above it.

Tap the "X" to the right of the folder name, and then enter a name you don't think will

make anyone suspicious and cause them to dig through it.

Step 5.

Tap anywhere outside of the folder to minimize the folder window.

You'll return to the screen where the app you want to hide and all of the filler apps

are located.

All of the apps should still be wiggling.

If they aren't, hold your finger against one of them to make them all wiggle again.

Step 6.

Hold your finger against each of the apps individually, and then move them into the

folder you created.

After all of the apps are moved into the folder, tap to open the folder.

Step 7.

Navigate to the page within the folder that contains the app you want to hide.

Hold your finger against that app to make it wiggle if it isn't already, and then move

that app to the right edge of the folder.

Keep holding the app against the edge until it's on a page by itself within the folder.

The app should now be in a folder that's on a page by itself.

The only other thing you can do to make an app undiscoverable is to hide it from the

spotlight search, which will ensure that anyone who tries using the general search feature

to look for a specific app won't find it.

You can prevent an app from being discovered in the spotlight search by doing the following.

Step 1.

Tap to launch the "Settings" app on your iPhone or iPad.

The Settings screen appears.

Step 2.

Select "Siri & Search" on the Settings screen.

The Siri & Search screen appears.

Step 3.

Scroll down to the Siri Suggestions section, and then tap the name of the app you want

to hide from the spotlight search.

In this example, I'll choose to remove the Indeed Jobs app from the spotlight search.

A screen for that app appears.

Step 4.

Tap to turn the toggle that appears to the right of Search & Siri Suggestions off if

it's currently on.

The toggle is turned off when the background is no longer shaded green and the circle is

moved to the left side of the toggle.

The Show App option will now appear.

Step 5.

Tap to turn the toggle that appears to the right of Show App off if it's currently on.

That specific app will no longer appear in the spotlight search on your Apple device.

Congratulations!

You now know how to hide apps on your iPhone or iPad.

Thanks for watching.

CFA Level 1 - Compare Intrinsic & Market Values I Either BUY! or SELL! - Duration: 3:12.

Since we're discussing the difference between market value and intrinsic value, I am taking

an example.

What is market value?

Market value is the price at which a stock is trading, What is intrinsic value?

It is the value which you perceive to be fair.

Intrinsic value is a fair value from your perspective, it may not be fair from others'

perspective but since you are going to buy or you are going to sell, it dependent enitirely

on you.

Correct!

So, whether you will be an asset or sell an asset, this depends on the comparison of intrinsic

value and market price.

Suppose in our example,we have two stocks, there is stock A here and there is stock B.

Stock A has an intrinsic value of ₹ 200 in your mind and market value is ₹ 250.

Stock B has an intrinsic value of ₹ 250 and market value of ₹ 200.

Now you have to tell me which stock will buy which stock will sell?

A unanimous decision!

So, you are saying that your decision would be to buy this stock and sell the stock.

This what the classes says?

correct!

Now here comes the reason!

You think that stop be has a fair value of ₹ 250 but it is available in the market

only at ₹ 200, don't you feel like it is available at a discount?

And we love discount, so we will be buying a stock at discount.

Contrastingly, this stock A which you believe should have a price of ₹ 200 but the market

price is ₹ 250.

So, you think that this is already trading at a premium?

Correct!!

So, if you are already long on the share, BOOK PROFITS!! because you think that this

stock deserves a value of ₹ 200 but has a value of ₹ 250 already.

So, the market is giving too much.

Let's sell or if you don't have this stock right now, you can also take the position

of short sell.

SELL it today & BUY when the stock goes out to ₹ 200.

If you will believe that the stock value has a fair value of ₹ 200 you must also be thinking

that the stock will go to ₹ 200.

So, what you can do is to SHORT SELL the stock at ₹ 250 and we buy it at ₹ 200 making

₹ 50-50 on each of these stocks and this is how you can make money!!

CS:GO - 5 Reasons why you might be under-performing or struggling - Duration: 3:54.

Many of you guys have asked me what to do on a losing-streak.

There's always a different reason for each person but I can still give you 5 reasons

why you might be under-performing or struggling in-game.

Hey guys, salut mes amis och hallå gubbar, Maxim here.

To begin I just wanna say that changing mouse sensitivity, graphic settings and other smaller

tweaks similar to that is probably not the issue, it's usually related to your playstyle

and decision making.

Oh and cheaters as well, but let's ignore them for this video, this is about you.

The first reason and probably the main reason is because you're tired and you can't focus

through the whole game because you're tilted.

The problem with playing a game and losing it, is very often that you want to play more

right after, and you don't give yourself enough time to rest.

The solution is to obviously rest or even take a break for a couple days.

I know how hard it is to let go of the game when it's going bad, cause you really want

to prove that you're better, but try to find a good balance that works for you and,

take a break.

The second reason could be that you need to refresh your aim.

By that, I mean that you should probably look at your hand movement while shooting, especially

with pistols or when you're tapping.

The game will always reward players with straight aim.

This is not Wanted, you can't curve your bullets.

The less shaky your aim is the more shots you will land.

So the solution is, stop shaking when shooting, easier said than done.

But seriously, practice your aim helps.

The third reason might be that you're wide-peeking just a little too much.

This could very well be that you're losing patience because you're not calm after dying

several rounds in a row.

The more you die, the more of a test it will be, to see if you can stay calm, peek at a

normal level and be disciplined.

There are moments when wide-peeking is good, especially if you want quick info.

But a perfect game of Counter-Strike is to clear every angle carefully unless you know

for sure that no one's there.

The fourth reason could also be that you're doing the same thing over and over again.

Imagine you're the enemy, if you know that someone is playing from the same position

each round, you could exploit it to your advantage.

So let's say you change position on the site but it's still going bad, the reason could

also be that you're engaging the enemy wrong.

But you can always switch with another player to hold the other site or move to another area.

Just make sure you learn a couple sweet spots on the map so you have different options.

I also strongly suggest that you watch other people play to get ideas on how you can improve.

You will always find small tricks that Streamers, Pros and YouTubers like to do.

The fifth and last reason might be that you need to fresh up your gaming environment.

I like to clean my setup, at least once every 3 weeks or it will just start to get filthy,

especially on the keyboard and mouse.

The results are very noticeable, I cough less, I also sneeze less even though I can still

get allergic reactions, and I also just feel happier overall.

If you have many cans of soda, or energy drinks, get rid of them, they shouldn't be on your desk.

It's also nice to clean up plates or mugs, or things you normally shouldn't have on your

desk, it will feel much better, I promise.

I hope you received some helpful information here and if you want to talk getting back

to your top level in CS:GO you can get some helpful advice on Discord if you want, and

talk to other people there.

If you want to add any comments or advice down below you can obviously do that. Comments like:

The reason why you're under-performing is because you're not using cheats uhmm, those are watermelons

btw.

That's it for this video, hope you enjoyed it, I'll see you guys in the next one

and go bananas!

clarify that point so it appears to be across the board and so in general the response has been what the hell YouTube when I

Subscribe to a channel it's because I want to know when they upload a new video

And there are a lot of top creators sounding off jesse wellens a long time youtuber Tweeting:

"Are you fucking kidding me YouTube?

Now I understand why I only get

500,000 views with 10 million subs" adding 'so because I want to make quality

Content twice a month I get screwed? your stupid system only works for daily caused us to lose our minds making daily content

Ah, so frustrated' and a question a lot of people had after watching this video is okay

if I if I don't have the bell checked

But I did subscribe to someone because I do want to watch more of their content

What exactly happens? and they actually hit on this in that video

if they don't hit the bell, and they're just subscribers they would have been a

Occasional notification state so that means that they get algorithmically determined notifications

Thoughtful there, but what it really does mean that was that mean yeah, that really just means that your most active subscribers

So users who are watching your channel and your live streams are gonna get notifications as soon as you go

Live we also send notifications to to users who aren't your subscribers,

But they also watch your content very actively and you think they'll be interested in watching your live stream

So we send them notifications as well

and so essentially YouTube saying that there are tiers to

subscriptions you can subscribe and based off of your actual intake of a certain piece of content you will get

Notifications based off of the algorithm right that if you're just doing this you're saying

I'm the kind of user that yes sometimes. I would like notifications, but I know the person's schedule

I know that I can just check my subscription tab and if you want the most premium version of subscriptions

Notifications when it actually comes out you got to ring that Bell

I also reached out to YouTube and they said that the reason that they did this is that when they had notifications for

Everyone what they ended up noticing was that the click-through rate for that individual user would go down

They also saw more users unsubscribing from youtubers

And they also saw an increase in people turning off notifications for the entire app

I have to say is someone that's been in the past week negatively affected in different ways by the algorithm

Obviously hearing this it concerns me

There's also just a lot about YouTube that doesn't seem to make sense

Example howtobasic put out a video yesterday saying face reveal ten million subscribers, here's a face reveal 12 million views

But when I went to trending this morning for the United States. There's a sideman video that did get a lot of traction 2.9

Million a BuzzFeed video 2.9 million, and then a vlog about a puppy that has 276 thousand views

I'm just saying there are a lot of questions

But at the same time as a person that consumes a lot of YouTube, I also understand

I am subscribed to a ton of channels on YouTube, but I don't want notifications every single time those videos come out

There are a few that are my daily or weekly go-tos that I make sure that I have

notifications on and then for my personal experience

I'll go to subscriptions. That said their system seems to be built towards subscriber drop-off, but the question becomes okay

Let's say you stop watching someone for a little bit

You don't have the Bell checked at what point will YouTube stop notifying you because once you tube stops notifying you

It's probably a lot less likely that you'll get that viewer back, but YouTube would most likely argue that that you had pretty much lost that

Viewer by that point, but at the same time I get the general frustration because while all of this happens

We are still talking about a YouTube ecosystem

That's seemingly

there are a lot of people saying this it seemed to be that during like the Logan Paul scandal back in the day even a

Lot of people that weren't subscribed to him because they were watching his content to see what the hell is happening they were getting notifications

For this guy's channel that they weren't subscribing to which most likely probably lent to Logan Paul getting a million subscribers during a massive suicide

controversy and the system in place

focused on Logan rather than other actual

subscriptions that person would have. And I want to end this strory on two notes. One is if you if you subscribe to someone because you

Really really like what

They're like top tenth of your viewership make sure after you hit subscribe you also hit that bell so you get notifications (when they do work)

That is the I want to know the moment this gets released for sure

I want to make sure I know when there is definitely a video in a regular subscription as I want these kind of things to

Pop up on my feet and when I hit subscriptions

I'll get around to it and - I'd love know your thoughts on this

Do you think that this system as is that makes sense or no, it's ridiculous or actually this does make sense

But YouTube needs to do a better job explaining this whatever you think on this I'd love to know in those comments down below then

Over the past 24 hours, we've seen a lot of stormy Daniels back in the news

But I do think that it's important to note that. There's a very little new information. Stormy

had an interview with 60 minutes that aired on Sunday, and in it she details the affair in detail

there's really no point going into that again really hits home on that she was not a victim that this was consensual a bit of

new information if she went as a detail about how she was threatened after she did a

2011 interview with In Touch magazine and here's her talking about that I was in a parking lot

Going to a fitness class with my infant daughter. I was taking you know the seats facing backwards in the backseat diaper bag. You know

getting all the stuff out and a guy walked up on me and

said to me

Leave Trump alone forget the story

And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said it's a beautiful little girl would be a shame if something happened to

Her mom and then he was gone and so because of this alleged threat

She said she was concerned for her family's safety

She said she feared she would face legal repercussions

If she didn't just take the money and go along with the denial regarding having text or pictures with Trump

She said their lawyer advisor not to talk about that at this time

I also know that Donald Trump's lawyers lawyer a sense of cease and desist to Stormy's lawyers saying I hereby demand that you and your

Client cease and desist from making any further false and defamatory statements about my client that you immediately retract and apologize to mr.

Cohen through the national media for your defamatory

Statements on 60 minutes and make clear that you have no facts or evidence whatsoever to support your allegations that my client had anything

Whatsoever to do with this alleged thug we also got a response from the White House today was the president aware of a physical threat made against Ms Daniels when she was with her daughter back in 2011

Well the president doesn't believe that any of the claims that Miss Daniels made last night the interview are accurate

He doesn't believe she was threatened. No. He does not well. It was his basis for that? Sorry. What's his basis for that?

Well, he just doesn't believe that you know there's nothing to corroborate her claim and so as of right now that is where we are

It will be interesting to see how this situation

Develops even though the Summers zervos story that situation that is potentially more meaningful in the grand scheme of things, but if you're someone

That's hoping that this story goes away very soon it might not according to CBS 60 minutes was delivered to more than 22 million

People it's the largest audience

They've had since

2008 which actually funny enough was the first sit-down interview with president-elect

I already did it on Twitter as of last Friday

I have officially shot out my episode of hot ones with Sean Evans

I believe that'll be up in about two ish weeks

So you can stop telling us both to do that and in addition to that I also

shot out an interview with Sean Evans for an episode of a

Conversation with which of course the last time we did that was with Casey niestat a long time ago

So be on the lookout for that then if you're in the mood for some food porn thriller out a video about New Age

Austin barbecue, and kind of on a random note when I'm watching food videos or food on TV

I never feel more like an animal than that because I'll just start salivating and I'm like oh, okay

I can do whatever I want in this world at the end of the day my brain still the same brain

That's like

food on

TV time to eat eat that now then we had Dominic's putting on a video about buying used things, the slow-mo guys doing a

Giant paint drill in 4k you got a trailer for the new 2 Chainz documentary that actually seems pretty interest

And if you want to see the full versions everything I just share the secret link of the day

Anything and all links as always are in the description down below

Then let's talk about the March for our lives rally that happened over the weekend the rallies in general were meant to call for action

against gun violence March was led by parkland students and organized after the tragedy that took place last month at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School

Where 17 people were killed. We saw hundreds of thousands of protestors

participate across the globe even stretching to places like Australia, Japan and France

But the main event took place in Washington DC there there was an estimated

180,000 people in attendance and at the rally with celebrities like Miley Cyrus ariana grande Demi Lovato performing

And you also had students from Stoneman Douglas like David Hogg's Sam Fuentes Cameron kaske giving speeches one of the speeches

That got the most coverage came from Stoneman Douglas

Student Emma Gonzalez you might remember Emma from her we call BS speech that went viral last month

She has become one of the main faces of this movement, but this time Emma only spoke less than two minutes

She actually stood there on stage quiet for four minutes 26 seconds and after standing there silently

She said this 'since the time that I came out here

It has been 6 minutes and 20 seconds

The shooter has ceased shooting and will soon abandon his rifle

Blend in with the students as they escape and walk free for an hour before arrest

Fight for your lives before it's someone else's job.' We also had a speech from Naomi Wagler that went viral

He only just 11 years old the speech was under 4 minutes

But it really stood out to a lot of people because she talked about black women specifically how they're disproportionately

underrepresented when it comes to victims of gun violence 'I am here today to acknowledge and represent the

african-american girls whose stories don't make the front page of every national newspaper

Whose stories don't lead on the evening news

I represent the african-american women who are victims of gun violence who are simply

statistics instead of vibrant beautiful girls at full potential.' I will say to me personally this speech did stand out. Obviously

We're seeing this big movement happen because this is following a school shooting children were murdered before I say this please understand

I'm not trying to minimize

What happened at Stoneman Douglas, but on an important note that a lot of people have noticed is that if you if you're talking about a school

Shooting and gun violence in general in America, school shootings are an outlier

They are a minimal percentage of gun violence in America

Then you look to Chicago where there's massive gun violence not necessarily in schools

Where a lot of people feel like they've been saying, this is a problem

But because those shootings involve people of color it didn't really gain the same traction in general over the weekend it seemed like people who

Have had this mindset

They went one of two ways they either leaned into people have color been talking about this for a longer time

Or you know what no matter what their

There is a tension on this at the time, so let's let's really embrace it speaking of reactions

We saw a lot of reactions towards the March in general White House responding with a statement we applaud the many courageous young Americans

exercising their First Amendment rights today former President Obama tweeting 'michelle

And I are so inspired by all the young people who made today's marches happen. keep at it. You're leading us forward.

Nothing can stand in the way of millions of voices calling for change.'

But they weren't all Pro you had people like Tommy Lehren tweeting 'simply being anti NRA is not a solution. March for something not just

against everything.' the NRA posting on Facebook 'today's protests aren't

Spontaneous gun hating billionaires in Hollywood elites are manipulating and exploiting

Children as part of their plan to destroy the Second Amendment and strip us of our right to defend ourselves and our loved ones' former

House Speaker Newt Gingrich making similar

Comments on Fox News saying 'I think it would be fascinating to know who paid for it all

I mean the left has this wonderful ability to mobilize so the day after

inaugural you have the women's March people come in buses who paid for the buses people who organized the whole process who brought the

Entertainers?' Republican Congressman Steve King criticizing Emma Gonzales posting a picture of Emma with the text

'This is how you look when you claim Cuban heritage yet

don't speak Spanish and ignore the fact that your ancestors fled the island when the

Dictatorship turned Cuba into a prison camp after removing all weapons from its citizens hence their right to self-defense' later adding 'pointing out the irony

of someone wearing the flag of a communist country while simultaneously

Calling for gun control isn't picking on anyone' we also had Bill Mitchell compare David hog, one of the survivors, to Hitler youth

tweeting 'Hollywood agents office, secretary

"central casting called. They're looking for a Damien. Children of the corn, Hitler Youth type to cast in a flick about an Orwellian future where

where fear and emotionalism is used to subjugate a free people" Agent: Naled it'

And I will say that I know what I want to hit on here is if you want to disagree or you want to attack

the argument of one of these parkland

Florida kids go for it when you start talking about someone looking like Hitler Youth children of the corn

I mean you're just you're being a fucking asshole a disgusting asshole who shouldn't be taken seriously also back to Emma Gonzales

There was a gif and pictures of her ripping up the Constitution being spread around that image was actually

Doctored it originated from a Teen Vogue story that was released on March 23rd, and it originally showed her ripping up a target poster

so there was just this fake picture slash gif that was being shared for a while it appears that it may have originated from the

Social media account called the gab they ended up confirming it was fake about four hours after posting the original tweeting

'This is obviously a parody satire. you're all mad because it's believable isn't it? that's the best type of satire

It's a comedic reflection of reality' we also saw criticism about some of the signs that were being held at these rallies like this one with

A young kid with a sign that reads 'when I said I'd rather die than go to math class that was hyperbole

Assholes' to see the people criticizing the language also people saying they were

Exploiting their children for their agenda some of the other signs have made their way on social media included 'it was harder to buy

This poster board than an ar-15 something is wrong' 'girls' Clothing is more regulated than guns'

'Let's ban guns like we ban boobs' a lot of people pointing out those signs really missed the mark

But I think I do want to know there whether it be kind of a left-leaning rally or a right-leaning rally you never really know

If what?

I'm not saying that this is the case just so we all have an open mind about it sometimes when you have these rallies there

Can be a plant, you see this more in

Situations where you can't see the face of the person holding the sign

Just something to think about also when you have an event that has hundreds of thousands of people when when you when you point out

One or two signs it can really derail the general idea of what everyone's trying to do

I also saw students at the rally wearing price tags the reason to that as March organizers have argued that a student's life

to the to people like Marco Rubio Republican

Senator from Florida that that is what each student's life is worth to them this because they say there are three million one hundred forty

thousand one hundred sixty-seven students enrolled in the state of Florida and according to the

organization Marco Rubio has received three million three hundred three thousand three hundred fifty five dollars from the NRA they then did the math and

That's why you were seeing this price tags, and here I will say I think that is an incredible

Oversimplification of the issue at hand yes, we are dealing with some people who will do literally anything for money

But you're also talking about people that have a different ideology than you and that's even hard to say because I think that there are

Also a lot of different types of people that went to the rally that have a lot of different opinions on what is the right

Thing to do right? there's a range here. I mean there are people that want just better background checks

Maybe they're focusing on mental health care

age requirement changes, bans on certain weapons, bans on all weapons and on the point of we are doing this because we don't want to see

more school shootings

Those you may not agree with are saying the best way to defend against that is actually more guns, right the people that don't agree

With you necessarily their argument is that more guns actually defend people. They save lives. No I'm not saying What's right or wrong here

I just think that the price tag is a big simplification you also have people talking about Patrick petty

Petty's sister who reportedly went to Stoneman Douglas, She was in the JROTC program

She's one of the three JROTC members that died during the shooting and he tweeted 'hey @Emma4change

Please stop using my sister's name to push your agenda

She did not and would not support it' so there was this

Conversation of including her in the numbers including her in this incident is this

Exploitation or no because it doesn't actually change the situation or argument

But on that note I do want to pass the question off to you

What are your thoughts about this the whole thing any specific standouts? I'd love to know what you're thinking and why.

Let's talk about a bunch of Russians getting the boot. separate announcements from the White House Department of State the US mission to the UN

The u.s.

announced the expulsion of 60 Russian diplomats in the United State 48 of which are diplomats at the Russian embassy in DC and 12 of

those are diplomats to the UN residing in New York and in addition to this the US is closing the Russian consulate in Seattle by

April 2nd this reportedly because of the proximity to a u.s.. Naval base in Bowen according to the White House

This is in response to Russia's use of a military-grade

Chemical weapon on the soil of the United Kingdom adding today's actions make the United States safer by reducing Russia's ability to spy on Americans

and to conduct covert

operations that threaten America's national security

And in response to this we saw a spokesperson for the Kremlin say we've said more than once and we say once again

Russia has had nothing to do with this affair whatsoever naturally as before we will proceed from the principle of reciprocity

a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry also added we consider this step as

unfriendly and not meeting the tasks and interests of establishing the causes and searching for the

Perpetrators of the incident that occurred on March 4th the Russian ambassador of the United States also saying that there will be an adequate response

And today at least 21 European countries have taken individual diplomatic action against Russia, Lithuania

And the Czech Republic saying they would expel three

Denmark Italy in the Netherlands saying that each of them will expel

Two grain is expelling 13 Russian diplomats Canada expelling for Germany France and Poland will expel four Russian diplomats with Intelligence Agency background

This is an unprecedented move for Poland because it's the first time they've taken action against Russia for actions outside of its borders as far

As what happens next honestly who knows I will say for Trump. I do think that it's helpful

It makes it much harder to say that he is being soft on Russia ultimately when looking at the big picture where we're talking about

Russia feeling more

Isolated and more targeted so what happens next I have zero clue just have to wait and see talk about it then but for now

What are your thoughts around all this are you happy to see in the United States joining in here or no?

This is this is heading to a really bad place. I'd love know your thoughts and those comments down below

That's what I'm going to end today sure and remember if you like this video you like what I'm trying to do on this channel

Why Soda Tastes Different In A Can Or Bottle - Duration: 5:46.

- [Narrator] People have strong opinions

about soda containers.

- Cans are significantly better than bottles.

- I think bottled probably tastes the best to me.

- A can keeps it colder.

- I prefer a glass bottled soda.

- [Narrator] But does the container

really affect the flavor?

Soda companies claim to use

the same proportion of ingredients.

A company spokesperson for Coca-Cola told us that

Coca-Cola uses the same recipe

regardless of the package type,

and that it's best enjoyed ice cold.

But there are a few factors that could still affect

the way you taste it.

First, let's take a look at the ingredients

in the containers.

Glass bottles are pretty basic

and contain no other chemical ingredients besides the glass,

so there's nothing in it that could really change the taste.

(soda lid popping)

Cans are typically aluminum,

lined on the inside with a polymer that can contain BPA

or Bishphenol A.

Rick Sachleben, a retired chemist

with the American Chemical Society,

says this has little effect on the taste.

- The amount of that material that would get into

the contents of a container

are so low I don't think it would have any effect

on the flavor.

- [Narrator] This lining protects the taste of the soda

and keeps it from being contaminated by the metal.

- The likelihood of having a break in that lacquer coating,

that plastic coating, and exposing the contents

to the metal are pretty, pretty low.

- [Narrator] Despite protective lining,

some people still think there's a metal taste.

- I actually think it tastes like can.

- Sometimes cans can taste a little bit metallic.

- [Narrator] So where is this sensation coming from?

- Your tongue is very sensitive to metal.

The one time when the product is exposed to the metal itself

is when the can's opened.

You put your tongue on a metal can it's entirely possible,

especially people who are sensitive to it,

there would be just enough to come off

to change the way things tasted on their tongue.

- [Narrator] Plastic bottles are typically made with PET,

or Polyethylene terephthalate.

While both cans and plastic bottles contain chemicals

you probably wouldn't want to consume in large quantities,

they are perfectly safe to drink out of.

- All containers that they use, glass, plastic, metal,

have been extensively tested for what will leech

into the liquid that's put in them.

- [Narrator] The FDA also regulates

the amount of contaminants allowed in drinks

to make sure they're safe.

But humans have been known to detect

even minute amounts of contaminants

according to Christy Spackman,

a researcher at Harvey Mudd College, who studies taste.

- Here too to remember that zero is not always zero.

People can detect certain things at levels

well below instrumental detection;

it depends on the molecule and it depends on the human.

- [Narrator] So while unlikely,

it's possible that even the slightest bit of contamination

might affect the taste for some.

Now let's take a look at carbonation.

(fizzing and popping)

Humans taste carbonation using the same taste receptors

that recognize sour foods

according to a 2009 study by Science Magazine,

and we can also detect carbonation from soda

in another way.

- [Rick] When you drink it you get two things going on:

one is you get that tingly thing from the bubbles,

but you also get that carbon dioxide going up in your nose;

it carries the other flavors into your nose as well.

- [Narrator] So carbonation levels can affect the taste,

but how can the CO2 levels change based on the packaging?

- [Christy] So carbonation can slowly, potentially,

leak out of a plastic bottle in a way it can't

leak out of a glass bottle.

That's assuming they've both been appropriately filled.

- The structure of the glass is pretty tight, okay?

It's like a really tight mesh rather than a loose mesh.

The diffusion rates through glass are really, really slow.

And in metal it's the same thing.

- [Narrator] But most bottles are typically designed

to prevent CO2 from escaping quickly.

- A plastic bottle is a multilayered thing:

Some of them provide rigidity,

some of them provide a barrier to the oxygen

going in and the CO2 coming out,

and then there's a final barrier

that just protects the contents.

- [Narrator] And if the container is warm

more CO2 will be released when you open it

making the soda taste flat.

Light can also affect flavor, assuming the bottle

does not contain any light protective layers.

- [Narrator] Light can cause chemical reactions to occur,

and some of the substances in there may change

some of the flavor compounds.

A lot of the flavor compounds are really subtle molecules;

they're the sort of things that can really

a little change can change their flavor a lot.

- [Narrator] So how a soda is stored can prevent

any rapid alteration in taste.

- So something that's bottled in glass and stored

away from light is going to have a flavor profile

that can last much longer,

and also carbonation levels that will stay

consistent much longer, than something in plastic.

- [Narrator] But there's also more to taste

than what happens on a molecular level.

Spackman says experience can also affect the way we taste.

People who drink Diet Coke a lot, every day for example,

might be able to tell a difference

more than someone else.

- So they have a sensory awareness just because their memory

is so constantly being refreshed about what

sensory experience is like.

- It's really hard to separate the objective

and subjective sides to taste.

What we can taste sometimes is as much affected by

what we expect as what's actually there.

- [Narrator] So soda drinkers aren't likely

to change their habits any time soon.

S08E13 "Do Not Send Us Astray" - The Most Ridiculous Things From The Walking Dead - Duration: 5:42.

- [Narrator] Morgan is doing great.

And you can tell because he's yelling at

and attacking a dead guy who isn't there,

a signature move from people who are doing great.

Everyone is hitting their warning honks

and Daryl is really out here laying on

that airhorn like he's aiming for third place

in a middle school reggaeton DJ competition.

Siddiq, this show's latest fake doctor,

is getting cursed out by a veteran fake doctor

for his lack of fake doctor knowledge.

He doesn't even know how to hold

people down and murder them.

That's day one fake doctor stuff.

Go back to zombie med school, asshole.

Oh, snap, Jerry with the tennis elbow signal.

This is it, don't get scared now.

Maggie tries to negotiate with Savior hostages,

but Simon says he likes soldiers better

who don't get captured.

And hungry poor people with problems

need to figure their own shit out.

Spoken like a dude who really wants to be president.

Dwight cautions Simon that Negan would

be super pissed if he found out about this

and he might still find out about this.

Simon says it's better to beg

forgiveness than ask permission,

which works if you're talking about

your roommate's last Choco Taco,

but substantially less applicable when it comes

to killing people your boss said specifically don't kill.

Daryl commences fightin' time by shooting

at people from his moving bike in the dark.

And yee haw, partner, it is officially fightin' time.

Everybody shooting at everyone.

Even some Robin Hood bow and arrow shit.

Very cool.

Massive death all over the place,

from people we've never seen once before.

Oh, no, they got Tobin?

You're gonna be fine, dude.

Carol's here and she's gonna bake

some fresh cookies and put them right on that wound.

And Dwight saves Tara by shooting her.

How thoughtful.

Simon is ready for some proper slaughtering time.

But the Hilltop had some proper

slaughtering to do of their own.

Who knew whistling in the dark at a building full

of your armed enemies was a strategic misstep?

Rick The Wetter The Better Grimes shows up, wet as hell,

and that's how you know he's here to work.

And he almost kills one of the last doctors on Earth.

Great job, Rick.

Morgan is still doing fantastic.

No problems here,

certainly not talking to ghosts.

Rick tells Michonne the gripping yarn

about the time he tried to kill Negan, but didn't.

But he tried, but did not kill him.

Which sums up every episode of this

show for the last two years.

Wait, wasn't Daryl just saying the exact

same thing to Tara a week ago?

And now their positions have completely flipped,

each one unable to see the other's perspective

they themselves had one week ago.

If these two could just have a meeting

and figure out how they want to feel about Dwight

then stick to it, that would be great.

Sorry, Michonne, but Rick doesn't want your nasty turnips.

Nobody wants turnips, not even in the zombie apocalypse.

Michonne wants to help heal Rick's wound,

but he can't right now.

He's way too busy removing wood

from these windows with an ax.

Really time sensitive project.

Maggie's makes a peace offering:

Get outside the gate, with guards,

so you can shave whatever the fuck you think

you're growing on the bottom part of your face.

Bleh!

Who amongst us has not been here?

Rehashing a relationship with your ex while you're

stabbed in the tummy and she's wearing BMX armor.

It's almost too relatable.

And if this show thinks I'm gonna stick around

to see if these two bang again?

The answer is yeah, sure, I guess, why not.

I don't have anything better to do on a Sunday.

This right here is peak Grimes.

Rick, interrupted during his gun loading thoughts hour,

was finally ready to accept some

much needed medical treatment

until Siddiq said word one about prayers,

and Rick was like,

"Nah. Rather get infected to death, thanks."

Damn, Tobin, RIP.

And the will Carol and Tobin bang again story arc

comes to its gripping conclusion.

Oh, no, blood all over one of

the last pairs of white tennies ever.

This episode should've come with

a disclaimer for graphic content.

How is nobody waking up right now?

That dude just somersaulted down the stairs

and six more walkers just came

in the front door all

(gargling).

Come on with this shit.

Gregory is attempting to start a one child march

for ending easily preventable assault rifle Gregory deaths.

And while Gregory is the worst, as always,

Face Pubes over there makes some good points

about feeling good and how murder

might not make you feel so good.

But I'd rather feel bad and be a murderer

than feel good and have face pubes.

This Jesus kick with Michonne assist was awesome.

Please, a spinoff series that's just Jesus kicking zombies,

then Michonne stabbing them in the brain with a sword.

I don't know why I have to think of everything.

Oh, my god!

New Carl!

Goddamnit, New Carl, you are so dumb.

You have an assault rifle.

That fence is not bullet proof.

If you want to shoot at people behind the fence, just shoot!

You don't need to unlock the door because,

yep, yeah, they escaped.

God dammit, New Carl!

You are so New Carl!

And Henry is gone.

And now it's time to look for him.

Oh, goody another missing kid storyline involving Carol,

because all the fans loved it so much

the first time they did it.

Tune in next week.

Will Tara and Daryl ever decide how they feel about Dwight?

Turns out Daryl likes him and Tara likes him,

but Daryl likes him, likes him,

and he's waiting to find out how Dwight

feels about him from a friend.

Will the converted prisoners be loyal to Maggie?

Sure, lots of healthy, long lasting relationships

have come from Stockholm Syndrome.

Is the whole Morgan talking to a bloody ghost thing

extremely similar to Pet Sematary?

Yes, it is.

Pet Sematary is a really good movie,

much better than this show,

and if this show wants to rip off

Pet Sematary all the time, I'm all for it.

None of this and more,

next time on The Walking Dead.

ANIMALS Saving HUMANS - FACT or FICTION? - Duration: 16:47.

We know that the relationship between human and beast can be a shaky one.

We don't always get along or respect one-another, but when man and nature are in tune, the results

can be uplifting.

In these three tales, we chronicle the heroics of wild animals.

When presented the opportunity, Mother Nature can sometimes prove merciful.

Or did we spin these webs of lies for your entertainment?

Stick around and see if you can pick out which of these stories are fact.. or fiction.

The line that divides the factual from the unreal has long since blurred, the tales we

once thought fantastical now implanted as truth.

To decipher verity from the imagined, you must break from the ordinary and consider

a universe where the outlandish prevails.

Can you expand your mind to see beyond our perceived reality?

Can you decide what's fact or fiction?

Our first story is that of an unlikely friendship.

A beast known for its ferocity and man, a pairing that often ends with either on the

ground, lifeless and cold.

As Dale Howell's experiences prove, however, there is something to be said about judging

a book by its cover.

"I wouldn't have believed it if it hadn't happened to me," Dale runs his fingers through

his hair, recalling that strange day in the woods.

"I'm not much of an outdoorsman, but that weekend I had decided to enjoy a little solo

camping trip.

Life wasn't treating me too well and I just needed to… well, I needed to get away, you

know?"

"I read all the online guides, even purchased things I'd never use again if I wound up

hating it.

Two days of planning and a day of packing later and I was off!

Now, I didn't go to some incredibly remote region.

It was just outside of North Pole Resorts by Ausable River, so I expected there to be

more people.

It was quiet, though, like there'd been a memo I wasn't aware of about not camping

in that region.

Still, against my better judgment, I stayed."

Dale laughs as he fingers the brim of his hat, a worn cap sporting an unrecognizable

company logo.

"Staying was almost a huge mistake.

Maybe four, five hours into my grand camping trip, this black bear comes creeping from

a patch of foliage.

The river's nearby, close enough to where I can hear it, so I suspect he's gonna meander

his way to his food supply.

But he doesn't.

He stops and stares right at me as if I've offended him some way."

"Then, without any warning or another sound, he starts at me.

Not fast at all, just a menacing walk right towards my campsite.

All the things I read said not to panic, but I ain't perfect.

So I panicked.

When he got to a point that I felt was too close, I turned tail and ran.

I didn't know if he was behind me, I assumed he was, but I kept going.

I could picture him chowin' down on me and I was mad at myself for not having a better

plan.

But it didn't matter.

In a split second, I was face first in the waters of Ausable.

As panicked as I was running from my predator, I was even worse in the flowing waters of

the river.

Had I calmed down for a moment, I'd probably had no problem righting myself.

Needless to say, I'm not alive today because of my bravery and wilderness expertise."

"As I thrashed in the water, confused and assuming I was a goner, I felt something nudging

me.

It was gentle at first, then more forceful.

The pushing continued 'till I was clear of the water and laying on the cold ground.

That's when I heard it – that huffing and puffing I was so scared of before.

I kept my eyes closed as the bear seemed to hover over me, rubbing its snout against me.

It lingered for a moment, sniffing me up and down before going about its business in the

river."

"I don't know why and I certainly don't want to question it, but I thoroughly believe

that bear saved my life and knew it was doing so.

Of course, nobody believed me, but I pay them no mind.

It's my own little adventure and brush with Mother Nature."

A helping hand from Mother Nature, or a bold-faced lie?

Dale's run-in with a black bear sounds like the start of a Disney movie, but then again,

we do know that bears aren't the fearsome beasts often portrayed in movies.

Let us know your thoughts in the comments and don't forget to vote using the on-screen

poll.

Before we reveal whether Dale's story was true or not, we have another potentially phony

tail for you.

Bentley the Chimp and Monica Fowler were close, more-so than anyone would expect from a primate

and its owner.

But Monica wasn't much of a social person, spending the bulk of her evenings with Bentley,

enjoying the chimp's boisterous personality.

Despite all this time together, though, Monica never appreciated just how smart Bentley was

– until one quiet night at home.

Monica wasn't the type to go out with friends or join her company's annual Christmas party.

So she turned to an unconventional means of companionship – her chimpanzee named Bentley.

The two lived together for the better part of a decade before Bentley became ill and

passed away prematurely at 13-years-old.

In that time, though, Monica was blessed with a moment that she's sure to tell anyone

that ever inquires about her friendship with the young chimp.

As she describes it, it was a quiet day in Bowling Green.

Bentley was off playing in another part of her moderately sized two-bedroom home.

Monica was deep into the latest entry of the Fifty Shades series, enjoying the scandals

of Christian Grey and Anna Steele while nursing her bag of Werther's caramels.

She wasn't one to get sucked into the make-believe worlds of fictional novels, but something

about Fifty Shades sucked her in.

So when the two damaged love-birds launched into a tirade of obscenities against one another,

Monica gasped.

Unfortunately, air wasn't the only thing that entered her airway.

She remembers how the candy slid over her tongue effortlessly and lodged itself in her

airway.

She had once been trained in the Heimlich maneuver, but the sudden lack of oxygen clouded

any memories she had of the procedure with fear and panic.

She pounded on her own chest, wanting so badly to scream for help, though no one would hear

it.

She was finally realizing the horrors of a life of solitude and a lack of a husband or

son or human companion of any kind.

Her throat burned, begging for the item to be released, but she was helpless.

Monica pressed on her chest one last time before losing the strength to continue the

motions.

Her body slumped down in the chair, sliding down to the floor as her hands instinctively

grabbed at her throat.

As her panic started to turn to calm, she became unaware of her surroundings.

She hadn't realized that a force that wasn't her own fists had started to pound on her

chest.

Her mind was too busy slipping into what felt like an impossible peace as her brain wanted

to take her away from the reality of her closed airway.

The pounding continued, her head rattled with every forceful hit.

Just as she started to slip away, there was movement in her throat.

The candy slipped from its jammed position and turned sideways.

Her mind forced her to take in a big gulp of air which jostled the candy even more.

Rolling over, the candy slipped from her throat and slid out of her mouth onto the hardwood

floor.

As she coughed, her body taking in as much oxygen as it could, she felt the familiar

hands of Bentley stroking her back.

At first, Monica believed it was a stroke of luck, that the Werther's slipped out

on its own.

Then the pain in her chest started, a bruised feeling that later appeared as yellowed and

purpled skin.

Knowing she didn't hit herself that hard, Monica realized there was only one other option

– Bentley had saved her life, whether he knew it or not.

Chimpanzees are smart, but are you willing to suspend disbelief to consider a chimp that

knows the Heimlich maneuver?

Perhaps this technique is more rooted in nature than we believe?

There's really only one way to find out – but you're going to have to wait until

the reveal!

For now, before we get on to our final story, be sure to let us know if you think this story

was based on fact in the comments and vote using the on-screen poll.

Neil Fannington enjoyed the open ocean, but not to a degree where he'd love to get lost

in it.

An intermediate on the surfboard, Neil enjoyed the splash of salty water on his face and

the warm touch of the sun as he sprawled on his board, but he forgot just how relaxing

the rock of the waves could be.

And so he found himself drifting helplessly one day, facing imminent death…

"I knew I was a goner.

I had to be.

Middle of the ocean, not a soul in sight.

That's not something that has a happy ending too often, you know?"

Neil didn't look like the type that enjoyed catching the waves of the Pacific, but his

unusual tale of animal heroics begins with a beautiful Californian day.

Enjoying the mid-day sun off of the golden Californian coast, Neil was especially having

a good time as wave after wave tested his balance.

It was a busy day on the ocean for the young surfer, so when he had a moment of calm on

the glassy surface of the Pacific Ocean, he plopped down on his board and enjoyed the

warm sun against his chilled and wet body.

It was relaxing – maybe too much so.

Within minutes, Neil was drifting off into a deep sleep, all the while drifting aimlessly

and the empty open waters of the deep blue.

When Neil came to, his mind foggy from what felt like a brief nap in the summer sun, he

found himself surrounded by nothing.

The glisten of the sun sparkled on the gentle waters, but there wasn't a land mass in

sight.

"I panicked.

I mean, what else is someone supposed to do in that situation?

You don't know how long you were out for or in what direction you're facing.

I remembered my first thought was 'I'm going to die out here.'

But I didn't let the ocean take me right away.

I followed the swells for a bit, paddling along, making little progress before my arms

started to ache."

Then I saw them.

A couple of fins broke the surface a short distance away.

They didn't seem to be swimming directly towards me, but that didn't stop the scenarios

from popping up in my head.

I was being circled by sharks, I was sure of it, and that was going to be the end of

me.

I pulled my body onto the board as much as I could, but I was still dangling in the water.

I waited for the worst and thought it was coming straight for me when a fin approached."

"It was a soft nudge that pushed me along, but I didn't feel teeth.

When I finally looked at what was attached to the fin, I found out why.

They weren't sharks at all!

A school of porpoises took a great interest in this man floating in the middle of nowhere,

but what happened next was nothing short of a miracle."

As Neil describes being pushed along by the porpoises, he speaks as if he still doesn't

believe it himself.

"I thought I was going mad, that my mind had been cooked in the sun and this was the

hallucination I saw before succumbing to dehydration or something.

But my board scraped against the beach and I knew I was safe.

When I turned around to face the open ocean, my school of heroes was already gone, splashing

away in the distance as if celebrating their good deed for the day."

"You can call me crazy and you can say I'm lying, but I was saved that day by porpoises.

I wouldn't be here if not for them."

Neil's oceanic adventure certainly paints sealife in quite the new picture, but can

you believe it?

We've all heard tales of trained porpoises doing miraculous things - but could their

wild counterparts have the knowledge to push someone that far back to land?

Let us know what you think in the comment section right now and once again, vote by

using the on-screen prompt.

Now, let's get on to what you've been waiting for.. the reveal.

Are you ready to find out if you can decipher between fact or fiction?

Let's look back at tonight's three stories and find out which were born from reality

and which were fabrications of the imagination.

Overall, did any of these stories make you think differently about our animal friends?

How about the story of Dale Howell's run-in with a terrifying black bear in the wilds

of New York?

We know bears aren't murderous beasts with an unchecked thirst for human blood, but does

that mean they're gentle and intuitive enough to rescue someone from drowning?

As much as I'd love to give a reason to trust bears more, I can't at this time.

Dale's story was complete fiction composed by our writers.

But that doesn't mean we can't entrust our lives with chimpanzees.

Sure, they can be ferocious primates, but they are capable of affection.

So, did Bentley come to Monica's rescue just in time?

Sadly, no.

<pause> Oh, it's not that Monica died.

There just never was a Monica.

Or a Bentley.

But this scenario isn't entirely out there as a Golden Retriever named Toby once gave

his own, Debbie Parkhurst, his version of the Heimlich maneuver when she started choking

on an apple.

Finally, we have Neil's run-in with life-saving porpoises.

Is this another fictional wonder?

Or is it possible that this actually happened?

According to actor and funnyman Dick Van Dyke, this story is 100% true… and his own.

In his younger years, Van Dyke enjoyed surfing, at least until he found himself wading in

the depths of the Pacific.

He was able to continue his prolific career thanks to a couple of heroic porpoises that

came to his rescue and pushed him to shore.

How well did you do in tonight's video?

Did you look past the deception of our world and define the oft-blurred line that struggles

to separate lies from the truth?

Let us all know in the comment section below and should you find the urge to test your

perceptions again, be sure to subscribe and join us next time when we ask you to decide

what's fact... or fiction.

Sermon: Servant or Hireling? - Duration: 47:56.

[Joshua Creech] So as we begin, I have two questions that I'd like to present to you.

I want you to keep these in the forefront of your mind as we go through the sermon today,

and try to keep bringing them back up and think about how you can apply them and how

this fits in together.

The first one, what kind of Christian workers are we?

What kind of Christian workers are we?

And the second one, are we servants or are we hirelings?

Are we servants or are we hirelings?

So if you would turn with me over to John 10, this is where we're going to start.

This will give us a good look as to what God expects for that second question of a servant

or a hireling.

So John 10, if we start in verse 11, I'm going to read through to 13.

So John 10:11 says, "I am the good shepherd.

The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf

coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.

The hireling flees because he is a hireling he does not care about the sheep."

So we see two different people in this, we see the shepherd and then we see the hireling.

So I want to take some time and break these scriptures apart so that we can get a better

understanding of what exactly a shepherd is and what a hireling is.

This idea of what a shepherd is is actually truly astounding when we can connect the dots.

They are a type of servant.

This shepherd is a servant.

They care for the sheep, they have a deep love and concern for the well-being of those

sheep.

They love those sheep.

It takes commitment and it takes drive from the shepherd's standpoint.

He has to serve those sheep, he has to be there every step of the way for them, so much

so that the shepherd doesn't want to lose one sheep.

Not a single sheep.

He loves every single one of them in that flock.

Christ gave us a parable that hits on this very thing over in Luke.

So if you would flip over to Luke with me, Luke 15, we'll read through this parable.

Luke 15, I'm going to read verses 4-6.

So just before this leading up, the Pharisees and the scribes complained that Jesus received

and ate with sinners.

And that's where this parable comes into play, this is what Jesus turns to.

So in verse 4, it says, "What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of

them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is

lost until he finds it?

And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them,

'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!'

I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents

and over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance."

Well, I added seven in there, I know I said I'll read through six.

But this parable as we go through, he was so excited about that one sheep, he was dedicated

to every single one.

Yeah, we understand that Jesus is referring to sinners here and that people who repent

is really the key of the long-term goal and plan of God.

But this parable has significance because this made sense to them, they understood that

a shepherd would leave the entire flock to go find one lost one.

He loved him that much that he would take the time to go find the one.

He didn't just leave it, he cared for every single one, every individual sheep.

He put a high value on them not as a group, but individually.

Each one had value.

A shepherd is in a constant state of servitude.

When you're out in the field with the sheep, you're constantly watching them, you're constantly

helping them, you're constantly fending off dangers.

At times in their lives, there were wild animals that attacked these flocks.

Back in John where we read mentioned a wolf coming.

We have another example back in 1 Samuel 17, 1 Samuel 17:34-36, you don't have to turn

over there.

I just want to reference it because this is right before David fights Goliath, and as

David's talking, he's talking about what he did as a shepherd.

He cared for his father's sheep and he ended up having to protect that sheep, that flock

from a lion and a bear.

He had to protect the sheep.

He had to love those sheep and dedicate his own life to making sure they stayed out of

harm.

He was committed to sticking by their side, he was going to be there.

Is this how we view our brethren, brothers, and sisters?

Are we that committed to making sure that they are safe, they're taken care of?

They're loved?

Are we willing to take our time, our energy and focus on that person sitting in front

of us, or behind us, or beside us?

All of our brothers and sisters here today, are we taking that time to love them?

Are we willing to die for them?

Are we willing to die for them?

That's an important aspect of verse 11 as well because it tells us back in John 10,

it tells us that the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.

Not that he will give it, but he gives it.

He gives his life for the sheep.

Christ was willing.

Christ actually died for us.

Every single one of us.

We have to do our best to follow in His footsteps, to make sure that we're living the life that

He lived.

We have to be shepherds to each other.

Servants of our brothers and sisters.

So in verse 12, we get into the contrast of this, so in verse 11 it talks about the shepherd.

So verse 12 we have the other person.

Verse 12 reads, "But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the

sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the

sheep and scatters them."

This hireling, they're looking for a wage, they're working a job, they're doing something

to make money.

Other ways that we could put this, they're a laborer, they're a hired hand, something

along those lines.

They're filling a job opening that there was an opening that they thought they could fulfill

so they applied for that job.

Any type of work, there's different types of work that they try to get into.

Have any of you guys ever had to recently do job searches?

I would imagine it's much simpler than it was then we have like monster.com now where

they give you a nice field, and they give you some requirements that you can key in.

You can put what you're good at, you put what your degree is, and you start refining it,

you start whittling it down to see what you're qualified for, to see what applies to you.

Most often, when we're searching, it doesn't always tend to be our dream job, a lot of

us have degrees that we went to school for, some people just have actual hands-on experience

that they have to put in here.

But you're applying for a job, you're trying to fulfill a role, and we're going to receive

a wage for that role.

That's what this hireling is, trying to meet these job requirements.

But what happens in verse 13?

So 12, we saw all the danger.

In verse 13, it says, "The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care

about the sheep."

He wasn't motivated by love.

He wasn't committed.

He fled.

He gave up when it got difficult, he left the sheep completely vulnerable.

Why?

Why would he do that?

It was his job, right?

He was hired to make money, to watch the sheep.

But as soon as it got dangerous, he left.

He left them to the open.

Let's think about this.

Sheep don't really have very many defense mechanisms, do they?

They won't survive well all by themselves, that's why they have a shepherd, someone to

protect them.

I looked up another word to go along with this, mercenary.

So if you use mercenary as an adjective… this is what I found.

It's "a person or behavior primarily concerned with making money at the expense of ethics.

Somebody concerned with making money at the expense of ethics."

This is exactly why that hireling ran.

He was hired on to do the job, and as soon as it got difficult, the ethical side where

he should've helped protect the sheep, he ran.

He gave up the ethics part because he was only concerned about that pay, he was only

concerned about what he thought he would get in the end.

Hirelings aren't vested for the sheep's safety when they wander off.

They're not going to go and search them out and rejoice when they're found again.

It's just part of the job.

They're just making money.

They don't lose any sleep over sheep who are lost, they're not out anything.

They don't own those sheep.

They're not theirs.

That's why they weren't willing to fend off the wolves.

That was too risky they might get harmed in the meantime.

Is this how we view each other, our brothers and sisters in Christ?

Is this how we view the world?

We run when it gets tough.

Do we only help when it's convenient?

We have a few extra minutes here and there, somebody is in pretty big need, "I got a little

bit extra time, I can go help right now."

If we don't ever make that transition of, "Hey, I can give this up and go help now,"

we're just like that hireling.

If we're not willing to sacrifice our time and our energy to help, we become that hireling

and we lose out on being that servant.

We're not that shepherd.

We find a really good example over Matthew.

If you flip over with me to Matthew 20, it goes over this whole idea.

Matthew 20, I'm going to read through verses 1-16.

It's this parable about the workers who are equally paid.

Verse 1, "For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning

to hire laborers for his vineyard.

Now when he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into the vineyard.

And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, and

said to them, 'You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.'

So they went.

Again, he went out about the sixth hour and the ninth hour, and did likewise.

And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said to them,

'Why have you been standing here idle all day?'

They said to him, 'Because no one hired us.'

He said to them, 'You also go into the vineyard and whatever is right you will receive.'"

"So when the evening had come, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward, 'Call the

labors and give them their wages, beginning with the last to the first.'

And when those came who were hired about the eleventh hour, they each received a denarius.

But when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise

received each a denarius.

And when they'd received it, they complained against the landowner, saying, 'These last

men worked only one hour, and you made them equal to us who have borne the burden and

the heat of the day.'

But he answered one of them and said, 'Friend, I am doing you no wrong.

Did you not agree with me for a denarius?

Take what is yours and go… go your way.

I wish you to give to this last man the same as to you.

Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things?

Was your eye evil because I am good?'

So the last will be first, and the first last.

For many are called and few chosen."

He was upset.

He was upset that he didn't get more money.

So as he would stand there waiting to receive his paycheck that week, he saw the other people

who didn't put in as much time, as much work, and effort get the same thing that he was

supposed to get.

So what do you think?

"Oh, this is great, good news.

I'm going to be getting more.

I'm going to get more than what I'm supposed to."

So he was excited, but then the landowner gave him what was agreed upon, one, just like

everybody else.

This is where we can see that significant difference between a servant and a hireling.

This parable makes it crystal clear for us.

That drastic difference?

The incentive.

The incentive.

That hireling's incentive was pay.

He didn't care about the fields, he didn't care about the vineyards, he didn't care about

the work being done, he didn't care what it was that he was providing to the landowner.

Obviously, there was a lot of extra work they needed done because they weren't getting it

done with the initial people that he hired.

So the landowner was needing more people, trying to fulfill his need of what he had

to get accomplished with that vineyard.

The hireling wasn't concerned about any of that, he didn't love that field, he wasn't

committed to the field, the work that was taking place.

He was only concerned of one thing, how much money was he getting at the end of the day?

Where do we stand?

What is our goal?

What are we focused on day in and day out?

What are we putting our time in for?

Where do we put our time?

Do we just put in our time?

Is that it?

Are we just trying to put in our time to do what we think to meet God's requirements?

The limited amount, are we getting something for it?

When we show up here week after week for services, what are we expecting?

What do we want to get out of it?

Why are we here?

Are we just trying to get a little bit of fellowshipping in with our brothers and sisters?

"Hey, how are you doing?

How's your week?"

Then you go through the rest of your week, do it again the next week.

That's a hireling, it's not a servant, not a shepherd.

So that's the two drastic differences between the two.

So before I move on to the next section, I want to try to summarize these for you just

to give you four summarized points of these differences.

So the first one, a hireling will not work if there is no reward.

A hireling will not work if there's no reward.

Number two, another name for a hireling could be mercenary.

Another name for a hireling could be mercenary.

Three, the philosophy of a hireling, "No pay, no work."

Their philosophy, "No pay, no work."

Now, fourth summarized point, a good servant is interested in doing the work, getting the

job done not what they're getting paid.

This is a long one I'm going to pause it, there's still more.

This is an extended point.

So a good servant is interested in doing the work, getting the job done, not what they're

getting paid, and he expects to do more than just what is required regardless of pay, regardless

of reward.

We've got a couple mottos that might fit their personality really well.

First one is, "Whatever it takes."

Second one would be, "I'll make it happen."

Whatever it takes and I'll make it happen.

Have we ever been approached by someone that needed help and our answer is, "I'll make

it happen.

I will make it happen."

I hope so because it's a good feeling.

That's the mindset we need to be on because that means we're going to get it done.

It doesn't matter what we have to give up, it doesn't matter the flexing that we have

to do in order to what we're going to lose out on, but we know it needs done and we're

going to put forth the effort to get it done.

And that's why this concept is so important this time of year.

You probably don't need a hint, but I give you one anyway.

It's the New Testament significance of Passover, we've touched on it a little bit.

So New Testament significance of Passover what it means to us.

So Passover, it's the memorial of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who became our Passover,

each individual one of us.

Turn with me over to 1 Corinthians, we'll read this in Scripture of how He became our

Passover.

1 Corinthians 5, 1 Corinthians 5:7, it reads, "Therefore purge out the old leaven, that

you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened.

For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us."

Was sacrificed for us.

So I don't want to get into all the details of Passover and the meanings because I'm sure

we will get a couple messages on that either leading up to Passover or even Passover evening,

they'll get into the details of it.

They'll get in all the deep down details of it.

But I want to focus on these last couple words here in verse 7.

What does it say?

It says, "Christ was sacrificed for us."

So just like that shepherd we read about back in John, Christ fulfilled that.

Christ laid down His life that was the final act that Jesus Christ did in his physical

life for us, lay down His life.

Every single one of us, if we're that one sheep that wandered off, that was us.

What's really neat?

Not everybody even knows it yet.

The vast majority the world doesn't even recognize this, they don't understand.

They don't know He died for them.

It was the ultimate sacrifice, His life.

He is the shepherd, He is a servant to us.

He left us a perfect example, too, at the highest level of what we need to follow, how

we need to act towards one another, the love and compassion that we show towards each other.

He's not our only example that were given in the Bible, there's another example that

I'd like to turn to and read through over in Acts.

We have a really good example that I think might help us to try to apply it to our lives.

Acts 9, if we read verse 30… start in verse 36.

Acts 9:36.

"At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas.

This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did.

But it happened in those days that she became sick and died.

When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.

And since Lydda was near Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent

two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them.

Then Peter arose and went to them."

"When he had come, they brought him to the upper room.

And all the widows stood by weeping… they stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and

garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.

But Peter put them all out, he knelt down and prayed.

And turning to the body he said, 'Tabitha, arise.'

And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.

Then he gave her his hand and lifted her up; and when he had called the saints and widows,

he presented her alive.

And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed on the Lord.

So was that he stayed many days in Joppa with Simon, a tanner."

This is amazing example for us.

Yeah, Christ led the perfect life, the ultimate example.

We have other stories like this, other individuals who we can relate to maybe, that we can take

and put in our heart.

We need to evaluate where we stand on our day-to-day life and how we look at our brothers

and sisters.

Tabitha had an enormous impact on her community.

We can read and see it right here the interactions that she had were amazing.

She made an impact on them, she changed their lives.

She did good works and charitable deeds for the people of her community.

So Scripture doesn't give us the exact number, it doesn't tell us how many she helped, how

many garments she made.

But what it does tell us, if we pay close attention, we're going to assume that there

were several because right there in the middle of verse 39, right in the middle of verse

39, it says, "And all the widows stood by weeping."

All.

We can assume that this wasn't one or two people that she helped, she was helping all

of them.

She took the time and loved them, cared for them.

We've got to take a page out of her book, we have to be like that.

So where are we able to make an impact like Tabitha?

Where can we help?

We have a number of opportunities to serve as we watched the A.B.C. class last week,

they filled roles.

Many of them probably had never done it before.

Once we get here, it is a good thing to fellowship, we keep our eyes and ears open figure out

who's needing help.

Who's struggling.

Who's going through trials.

But here at services, if you're looking to serve we have ample opportunities.

It starts at that front door as soon as we walk in, right?

There's somebody there to hold the door for us and greet us, give us a hug and say, "Good

morning."

This morning it was my nephews, two little guys holding the door open.

They love it, they love seeing everybody.

They love serving.

They love being a part of it.

This morning when I was given this I don't have it written down my notes, but I was thinking,

you know, it actually starts before that because that paper we get handed, somebody had to

put that together.

Somebody took the time to edit it, write it, change it.

Somebody took the time to print it off.

So it all started before Sabbath morning, somebody was doing that, somebody was serving

somewhere.

What else do we have?

We have snacks every week, right?

You need to help set up, take down the snack tables, bring snacks.

We can help with the mothers' room.

We have a mothers' room set up every week.

We have security at the front every week.

Sometimes we have days where church is packed and we run out of chairs.

Somebody's willing to serve and set up chairs so others can have seats.

Ushering, collecting the hymnals after services.

As a disclaimer to this one though, you've got to be quick, anybody from Cincinnati knows

why it's because we have a whole bunch of little kids who try to collect as many hymnals

as they can.

They try to beat everybody else and get all of them so if you want to serve that way,

you better be quick that's all I have to say.

Quick and nimble.

We have Sabbath school teachers.

We have a sound system that has to be ran.

We have somebody who plays hymns for us every week to accompany songs.

I could keep going.

I could keep going.

We have long lists of where we're able to serve, where we're able to help our brethren.

The big kicker though, you can't stop here, you can't stop on the Sabbath day.

One day a week.

We can't just go through our normal week and then get here try to serve a little, go home

forget about this family that we have.

This is our brothers, this is our sisters, this is our family.

We have to remember that we're here for each other.

Like I had said that fellowshipping is great, that's where we can build those relationships

so we know when someone's hurting.

When someone's in need when someone needs lifted up.

And it's much easier if we have that relationship beforehand instead of just trying to jump

in on the spot.

We have no idea what kind of trials are ahead of us.

What type of sicknesses or illnesses that may knock us down, wipe us out for a week

or two, longer, in some cases.

But as the young adults are trying to set up this Living 18-35 weekend of mowing grass,

and trimming trees, picking up sticks, vacuuming, and dusting, deleavening.

There should be a special one time of year, us as a local congregation have to have that

for each other all year long.

All the time.

Might just be vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sweeping, throwing in a load of laundry or

two, doing the dishes that somebody's not able to stand at the sink for very long and

do.

They just need some normal everyday tasks done.

It might be just a run to the grocery that might be outside of the range of what they're

capable of doing at the time.

Here we have a couple groups set up already for meal trains for the women who have had

babies or if there's a case where somebody is injured, who can't get to the making meals

we have meal train set up for them.

We help out.

We have ladies who help out with that.

We have groups who make cards, we get prayer request after prayer requests, we have a list

of shut-ins that we see every month, we have groups that make cards for them.

Try to send cards out regularly.

On top of that, we have some people who actually take the time and just go visit the shut-ins.

Visit the sick.

If they're in the hospital, they go visit them in hospital.

Don't just surprise people it usually doesn't go over well.

You might catch them in a bad time, but it is good to get out to them, visit them, make

sure they're up for it.

If you would, turn with me over Deuteronomy 15, we'll see that this is…  why this is

an everyday activity.

Why this can't be one time, one day a week, it has to be all the time.

Deuteronomy 15, let's take a look at verse 11.

So verse 11 says, "For the poor will never cease from the lands…" they "will never

cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, 'You shall open your hand wide to

your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.'"

This is our land, our congregations, our brothers, and sisters.

This is our land sometimes there's poor and needy.

It's not always financially.

I know that's a catch up for some of us.

This doesn't always mean financially.

Sometimes it's just been that body to do a little bit of work.

Sometimes it's not even doing work, sometimes just sitting with them.

Somebody's having a bad day, just needs lifted up, they're depressed.

And just needs that needs somebody to talk to, need somebody to be there.

That's serving someone.

That's serving someone.

Do we have the time to be that body to show up?

Are we willing to make time?

Will we make time to make sure that when somebody needs us we'll be there?

We can move stuff.

We can prioritize what we have actually have to do, and what we think would be a better

option than serving.

God never overlooks this when we actually commit ourselves to being a servant.

He never forgives.

Hebrews 6, Hebrews 6 lets us know this.

Hebrews 6:10-11.

Starting in verse 10, it says, "For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of

love which you have shown towards His name," let's pause right there for just a second.

How do we show love in God's name?

Is this meaning just that?

Only loving God?

Just focusing on God and loving Him?

That's not the whole intent of this.

That's not the bigger picture.

When we love our other human beings, we're loving in His name.

We're showing the example that Christ showed for us, we're being that light.

We're being that example that they need.

We're obeying the commandments by showing kindness, love, concern for God's children

because we're all God's children.

So if we carry on from there it says, "…toward His name, in that you have ministered to the

saints, and do minister."

Verse 11, "And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance

of hope until the end."

When's our reward come?

Are we that hireling?

Are we doing things now to try to benefit this physical life?

To earn a reward.

Are we trying to look good because we think it might get us ahead somewhere?

That's not what this is, that's not where our focus is or at least should be.

The ultimate reward is what we're looking towards, that ultimate reward of being part

of God's family, having eternal life in the God family.

That's our reward, all the other blessings that we get are just bonuses.

If we focus on those bonuses, we're missing a big part of what God's put towards us.

Turn with me to Luke 17, this explains this idea that we don't need, we don't need the

extra bonuses.

We don't need the extra credit for the things that we do because we know it's right.

Luke 17:10 reads, "So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded,

say, 'We are unprofitable servants.

We are unprofitable servants.

We have done what was our duty to do.'"

Go back to that motto, "I'll get it done.

I'll get it done."

That's basically what this is.

We are unprofitable servants. God doesn't need us,

but He wants us to be servants and He tells us it's our duty.

We've done what our duty is to do.

Our service, it isn't meaningless, it's helping our brothers, helping our sisters, it's not

useless.

Ever asked anyone who you've ever served?

It meant the world to them.

I've never met anybody who ever talked bad about somebody who is serving.

It meant the world to them, it changed their whole demeanor for that day, but we have to

stay focused on the ultimate goal.

Not the bonuses, not the extra credit, we have to care for our brothers and sisters

now for the big picture, becoming part of God's family.

It's crucial for us to understand this wholeheartedly.

I know it sounds simple enough.

It's not overly complicated, but we have to be careful.

And that's because even some of the apostles had difficulties understanding this.

So if we can read where they have trouble.

We need to watch out we need to keep ourselves in check.

So let's look at Mark 10, we'll read what I'm talking about.

Mark 10:35, we see where even these apostles didn't quite understand, at least at that

moment.

It's figured out later, but right here Mark 10:35.

Mark 10:35, and I'll read down through 37.

It says, "Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Him, saying, 'Teacher,

we want You to do for us whatever we ask.'

And He said to them, 'What do you want Me to do for you?'

They said to Him, 'Grant us that we may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on Your

left, in Your glory.'"

They were looking for that reward just like the hireling we talked about at the beginning.

They're focused on that, their spot.

Where are they going to be?

What are they getting?

This was a critical time in Jesus' life and they were focused on what their reward was,

what they were going to get paid for the work that they were doing.

They want to know where their spot was in the Kingdom.

Did they get it that they were performing God's work?

That they were doing God's bidding or were they trying to get… or were they were they

fulfilling those roles to get something out of it.

They missed that big picture.

Right here in this section, they missed the big picture at this point.

They didn't understand bringing as many children to God is our ultimate goal.

So if we keep reading through, the rest of the story plays out when Jesus goes through

and explains that, you know, they don't even really understand what they're asking, they

don't understand the magnitude of what they just asked Him to do.

And Jesus says that you know, "It's not even My role to give.

It's not My position to give" and then He touches on authority and talks about how people

who had authority at this time, lorded it over to the Gentiles.

And I want to pick this back up down in verse 43 because… and this takes place just after

that authority verse 43 says, "Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to

become great among you shall be your servant."

Plain as day.

There's no questions.

There's no gray areas with this.

We're flat out to be servants.

We're not looking for the highest position.

We're not looking to sit on the right hand or left.

We should be happy in God's family.

That's it.

We should be happy if we're able to help other people come to God's family.

Not where or when we come in.

If we're being those good servants, we are right now in God's hands.

He's watching over us, protecting us.

Sometimes blessing us heavily.

That's not why we're doing it.

We're doing it because it's the right thing to do.

We've all been called to serve that's why we're here today.

We've all been called.

Each and every one of us we have different roles, different responsibilities.

Long term, we don't know what they are.

Sometimes we can't figure out exactly where we're serving or what we're supposed to be

doing.

But we have a lot of ways we can serve, and we start trying them out.

God's given us abilities, He's given us gifts, we have to use them.

There's jobs that require those skills that He gives us and we're expected to fulfill

them.

It's who we are, plain and simple.

It's who we are.

We may all be working in different ways using those different skills to help accomplish

different things, but we better all have one title, servant.

We have to be.

It doesn't matter what kind of serving we're doing.

It's the same title for all of us, we have to serve.

That has to be our identity, must be our identity.

We must love each other.

Care enough for each other to make sure that nobody has fallen through the cracks.

So I want to reiterate those two questions I presented to you at the beginning.

There's two questions.

What kind of Christian workers are we?

What kind of Christian workers are we?

Are we in it for the short term—those benefits?

And two, are we hirelings or are we servants?

God's given us a huge gift.

If we allow that gift to work in us and help us, God's Holy Spirit, if we allow that to

shape our lives so we can be the best servants that we know how to fulfill His plan, then

we're on the right track.

We have to add that initiative to get the job done.

Because that's the right thing to do.

The job is what matters.

Getting people into God's family, that's the job, right?

It's the job, it's not the rewards.

We want to grow the family.

Let God's Spirit help us to serve, serve in loving, fulfilling our responsibilities.

If we can let it work in us, then we become true servants.

That's where God's family is.

God's family is going to be true servants, comprised fully of true servants.
