I made so much money from the adverts that I named my house after Oil of Ulay, reveals Green Goddess and 1980s TV fitness star Diana Moran
Workout queen Diana Moran would overhaul the care system and increase funding for both nurses and nursing homes if she were made Chancellor of the Exchequer for the day.
The 79-year-old, who earned the nickname 'Green Goddess' in the 1980s due to her sexy BBC breakfast TV workouts in a green leotard, worries that the quality of care many sick and elderly people receive from the state today is not good enough.
She recounts how at the height of her fame she was too ashamed to tell anyone she had breast cancer – but then turned her fortunes around by writing one of the first memoirs about the disease.
TVs Green Goddess Diana Moran used to get paid thousands of pounds for a few minutes work when she starred in Oil of Ulay adverts.
Still fabulously fit, she now lives on the outskirts of London in a house named 'Ulay' – bought with her earnings modelling for Oil of Ulay.
After spending decades saving and investing, she now enjoys treating her two sons and four grandchildren to meals in restaurants.

To be frugal and only have what I could afford. I was brought up in a slightly Victorian way by an incredibly strict father.
Sadly, my mother died of a cerebral haemorrhage when I was young – I came home from school and found her dead. We were middle class, but I was never spoilt or given handouts and presents.
My father worked as a director for an oil company, so it was not that money was tight. It was just that he was frugal.
For instance, I was a talented tennis player, but I had to borrow all my equipment from friends and my school. I do not hold his approach against him.
What he taught me about money has stood me in good stead although I have not been as tight with my sons and grandchildren as he was with me.

Sixpence (2.5p new money) once a week from age eight. I would spend it on Penguin biscuits and lemon sherbets. I loved sweets – they were special because they were rationed after the war. What was the first paid work you ever did?.
When I was 16, I got paid £2. 50 a week to be the general dogsbody in a department store. Have you ever struggled to make ends meet?.
Yes, in 1987 when I was treated for breast cancer at age 48. At the time, I was known as the 'Green Goddess' because I did fitness exercises on BBC1's Breakfast Time programme in a green leotard.
But I had to have drastic surgery to get rid of the cancer – a bilateral mastectomy, followed by reconstruction – so for a long time I could not work.
I still had bills to pay, though, and I was self-employed. That meant it was a difficult time financially as well as emotionally.
No one knew why I had suddenly disappeared from TV because I would not tell anybody. You did not talk about cancer in those days so I kept it a secret.
Thank goodness I had saved like my father had taught me.Diana Moran. Diana Moran was a regular fixture on Britains daytime TV screens in the 1980s.
How did you turn your fortunes around?. The press started asking where the 'Green Goddess' was and my agent said I had to tell people what was going on. So I turned the diary I had been writing into a book.
It became an instant bestseller because nobody had spoken openly about cancer before. Have you ever been paid silly money for a job?.
Yes. After the cancer I was even more high profile so I would be asked to do openings of new stores in my green leotard.
I would get paid thousands of pounds for a few minutes to cut a ribbon and smile for photographs. What was the best year of your life in terms of the money you made?.
It was 1998, the first year I was the face of Oil of Ulay – the brand which is now called Oil of Olay.
I auditioned with no make-up and ended up starring in several commercials for them over three years. Boy, I made a huge amount – hundreds of thousands of pounds. So much, in fact, I bought a house and called it 'Ulay'.
What is the biggest money mistake you have ever made?. I have lost a couple of thousand pounds following bad advice so I would say my biggest mistake is trusting other people on what to do with my money.
What is the best money decision you have made?. Buying a two-bedroom flat by the river in Battersea, South-West London, in 1995 for less than £100,000. I sold it for £200,000 four years later.
One of Diana Morans best financial decisions was buying a flat in Battersea, where the famous power station is now being turned into homes. Do you save into a pension or invest in the stock market?.
I did both when I was younger. I started saving into a pension when I was 19.
I have also played the stock market a bit. When I was in my 30s I watched the markets all the time for five years and loved picking stocks.
It gave me a buzz and I was quite good at it. I invested in media companies that were just starting up and my choices stood me in good stead for years. I have sold them all now though.
Do you own any property?. Yes. I live by the River Thames on the outskirts of London in a three-bed townhouse – the one I called 'Ulay'.
I bought it 19 years ago and it has doubled in value. It has been an excellent investment but most importantly it has given me security. What is your one little luxury you like to treat yourself to?.
Taking my friends and family out for meals. Not somewhere expensive, just so we can have a good chat. I probably spend £15 per person each time and that is what a lot of my disposable income goes on.
If you were Chancellor of the Exchequer, what is the first thing you would do?. I would review what is going on in the care system and increase funding for social care, nursing homes and hospices.
Do you think it is important to give to charity?. I think it is incredibly important. I do prefer to give to charities I know something about and causes which have touched my own life.
At the moment I am supporting The Great Daffodil Appeal – which is Marie Curie's biggest annual fundraising campaign. What is your number one financial priority?. I want to stay financially and physically independent.

why. The main reason that I decided to make this was because you guys expressed
a lot of interest in it. I've been getting a lot of dm's and comments lately
of you people asking when I'm gonna make some kind of merchandise and will I be
making any anytime soon. So I decided to try it out but I wouldn't even consider
this really merchandise as much as just a new type of project that I wanted to
try out and share with you. Keep creating is obviously something that I

is going to be on the weekend in a timezone that works for you. Now as far
as why I'm focusing entirely on tutorials for the month of March it's
actually pretty simple. The main reason is that I'm not making any tutorials
during April. In April I'm going to be going on a really big spring break trip,
and you can expect to see probably a few, two or three vlog videos from that as
well as a proper cinematic travel film. You could say so April is going to be
an entire month of just creative cinematic videos so I'm trying to
balance that out by making March all about tutorials. I also just saw this as
an opportunity, I guess, to set aside a period of time, in this case one month, to
focus on you could say the business side of YouTube- making more videos and making
videos that people are searching for. So I guess the next couple of months on
this channel are going to be a little bit interesting but I'm really excited
for it and I hope that you are as well. But until then I hope that you enjoyed

Mom Becomes Pregnant With Son's Baby So That He And Wife Can Start A Family - Duration: 3:30.
It's very natural to want to become a parent once you have chosen someone to settle down
with.
However, not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to start a family without having
to contend with a few relentless obstacles thrown their way.
Twenty-nine-year-old Kayla Jones from Texarkana, Arkansas, for instance, was desperate to have
children with her husband Cody, after getting married in 2012.
Unfortunately, Kayla and Cody's dream of starting a family seemed near-impossible because
Kayla had undergone a partial hysterectomy when she was just 17 years old.
She was told that a tumor had begun growing in her uterus and that a partial hysterectomy
was thus necessary.
"Doctors were able to save both of my ovaries, but they had to remove my uterus because there
was no normal uterine tissue left," Kayla told ALT Magazine.
Kayla then learned that she would not be able to have children naturally – if she and
her husband wanted to have children who were biologically related to them, someone else
would have to carry them.
"After lots of prayers, the final pathology came back benign.
Doctors informed us the only way I could have biological children was to have a gestational
surrogate," she added.
So Kayla and Cody went on the hunt for potential surrogate mothers but to no avail.
"All of our options [for surrogates] had run out," Kayla explained.
"It has been 10 years knowing I would have to use a surrogate to have children.
I'm glad it is somebody I can trust because, if I can't do it, you know," Kayla told
KSLA.
"I think it is really special in that way that she will actually be carrying her grandbaby,"
Cody added.
The transfer procedure took place in March 2017 at a clinic in Dallas, and, of course,
it was successful!
"I am beyond blessed to be able to do that," Resecker said.
"I cannot put into words how grateful I am for this woman," Kayla said.
"Our kid is going to know that he/she was so loved; his grandmother was willing to endure
blood draws, intramuscular injections, multiple testing, and nine months of pregnancy to get
them here.
"They say it takes a village to raise a kid, but in our case, it takes a village to
get them here," she added.
"We are so grateful for our friends/family and all the support we have received.
God is good."
"My biggest concern is to make sure not only is the baby healthy, but my mother-in-law
stays healthy, too," Kayla said.
"[I've] got a good mother-in-law.
Most people don't like their mother-in-law, but I've got a good one," says Kayla.
Of course, pregnancies, especially those that occur in older women, always pose a risk but
luckily the pregnancy did go well and baby Kross Allen Jones was born on 30 December
2017 via cesarean.
"This is something that has blessed not only me and my family but also Kayla's family,"
Resecker said.
"A child is a lifetime commitment and I knew there weren't two more deserving people
than them.
To see them with Kross and see the parents they're already becoming thrills my soul."

"The world is in a very interesting place right now," Couric said.
"What do you think about the state of our country and how divided it seems to be?"
White responded: "It's very divided, and we're not in the best place we've ever
been.
I think that's the time to buckle down and really work positively as much as you can
instead of just saying, 'This is terrible.
He's terrible.'"
She continued, "Just think, 'Alright, there's nothing I can do about that right
now but I can do the best in my little circle.'
So if I do that, maybe you'll do your best and we'll get through this."
White says she believes people should start thinking more positively because negativity
leads to a "toxic" environment.
"So many people think negatively it's like, 'oh, you know what I hate?'
Instead of 'alright, I'll get through this,'" the 95-year-old said.
"Then all of a sudden you start lifting up a little bit, but if you start with 'you
know what I hate,' you're gonna go right down the tubes."
She added, "You've gotta get through it.
And you can't change it, so let's just one foot in front of another and get through
it."
After an insanely long run on the much-loved sitcom Golden Girls and all these years, she's
outlived her costars since the White wasn't ready to throw her entire career away, as
so many others in Tinsel Town are quick to do to trash Trump.
She's always maintained a non-partial attitude towards every presidency before Trump's
who she admitted was "terrible," which wasn't a great thing to say, but she left
her opinion at just that one word before making the bigger point of coming together and not
complaining.
Considering that White is at a place late in her life that she doesn't care who thinks
what of her and whether they agree with her, she's got nothing to lose.

As the summer of 2017 wraps up, it will end up as the first summer since 2006 to not make
$4 billion in the box office.
Additionally, ticket sales have reached a 25-year low."
It's time for stars to stop abusing their massive platforms for trashing the president
and pushing an agenda.
White, at her age, should realize that and set a better example for young stars.

preferences to herself throughout the years, as a person in her public position.
White has always cut to the chase, making her loved and respected among many.
Now, we have some breaking news about this bright star, who at the ripe age of 95 surprised
us all.
Perhaps Betty White's secret to success that other stars should learn from was to
be opinionated and witty without being divisive.
She certainly mastered that skill throughout her career but recently, something really
disturbing has changed.
We saw this in full effect when she was recently face-to-face with news anchor Katie Couric
who pulled her typical trick of trying to get the start to trash President Trump.
Couric quickly realized she wasn't talking to the typical famous millennial idiot when
White came back with an unexpected response to her bait, shocking viewers who thought
they knew her.
This feisty elderly actress answered with a really sad response to Couric's nasty,
divisive questioning to set her up.
What's even sadder, is what and how the accomplished journalist said to the actress.

pissed off they don't do any research they don't do any critical thinking
let's go ahead and look into this and maybe do a little bit of critical
thinking so you look at the title of this post and it is titled the owner of
run loader is leaking users ip's in exchange for money so they're stating
that in a way the owner of run loader is selling people's IP ok so I went ahead
and I clicked the post so in this post we had linked a Twitter message from a
user called Jack and he shows us a picture of somebody saying his IP and
asking people to boo him offline for $10 even looking at this I was skeptical
apparently this was the owner of rune loader we're just gonna call him Seb but
the whole question here is why one day randomly did Seb the owner of rune
loader wake up log into Twitter and say oh my god here is this users IP please
boot him offline please boot him offline what did Jack do to piss him off and
also the title of this post is misleading they made it out as if said
was selling people's IP if he gave him money no it just seems like Seb has an
issue with this guy so what was that issue I did a little bit of digging and
it turns out Seb himself said on this code that Jack
was tweeting up personal details and in retaliation that's why he leaked his IP
also stating that he didn't even get the IP for
Jack's IP also it doesn't seem like I'm the only one that is skeptical here Jack
is actually youtuber he has 10k subs and so on on this reddit post said that he
looked through all of Jack's video and in none of the videos he was using rune
link he was using OS buddy in every single video this actually could be
evidence that sab didn't get his IP from rune loader but it also could just mean
jack happened to never record himself playing runescape on rune loader just OS
buddy it's something to take into account here people are also tying Bodhi
