That's exactly what happened to Lindsey Jones.

She and her family had stopped for lunch and the continued back to their home.

She didn't realize she had left her purse behind until she was there.

Luckily, the employees at the restaurant were extremely nice and helpful.

While most people wouldn't want to be bothered with something that didn't directly affect

them, the employees went above and beyond to help out Lindsey.

She shared the story on Facebook.

She posted: "As my family and I traveled back to Lorena from Taos, NM, we stopped at

this Chick-fil-a restaurant to grab lunch to-go.

Approximately THREE hours later when we stopped for gas in Abilene, I realized I must have

left my purse back in Lubbock at Chick-fil-a.

I called and spoke to a very nice woman named Darcy who assured me that they had my purse

and would ship it to me right away.

After thinking about all the very important things in my purse that I would need ASAP,

I called back and spoke to a manager named Casey.

He was incredibly helpful and understanding.

He took my purse to FedEx and had it shipped to me 'Priority Overnight.'

With it being a Saturday delivery, and being that I carry a pretty large hand bag that

weighed 7 lbs., you can imagine it was NOT a cheap shipment!!

When I called to give him a FedEx account number to use to pay for it, he told me not

to worry about it because it was already taken care of!!!!

I was blown away by the kindness and generosity shown to me by the staff at Chick-fil-a on

4th & Frankford in Lubbock.

I woke up this morning to a knock on the door from the FedEx guy with a big box containing

not only my purse, but 6 coupon/gift cards for free food at Chick-fil-a, and a couple

of plush cows saying 'EAT MOR CHIKIN!'

I cannot thank them enough for everything they did to help me get my purse back as quickly

as possible!

This situation completely restored my faith in humanity!

Not only was my purse found by good, honest people, but they also went above and beyond

to help fix a problem that was 1000% my fault to begin with!

So, thank you, thank you, thank you Darcy & Casey for being so awesome!!!"

Panaramio The employees didn't seem to mind, and they were happy to help her out.

They had no problem helping her.

They just wanted to do everything possible to get her purse to her.

Darcey Cuellar, director of hospitality said: "I was working drive-thru and heard the

phone ring, and she was kind of frantic saying she was like three hours away and she left

her purse here."

Although Lindsey offered to pay for her purse to be shipped back to her, Casey Kovar, director

of operations, insisted on paying the overnight shipping.

Darcey and Casey thought the cows and mints were a nice little touch.

"He (Casey) said we should probably put some menus and coupons in there, and I said,

'Yeah, yeah, that would be cool,'" Darcey said.

It's nice to see that people care enough to go out of their way to help a stranger.

Hopefully, this story motivated others to help when they can.

Lindsey and her family will never forget the kindness they were shown by these restaurant

workers.

This Boy Says A Burglar Broke In And Pursued Him Upstairs, But Then His Pit Bull Sprang

Into Attack

The jingling of keys in the front door was a familiar sound to nine-year-old Shane Shafer.

He was home alone and assumed the person trying to get in was his mom.

He soon found out he was completely wrong about who was there.

The next thing he had known, he said, a stranger in a ski mask had burst into his home.

Amid the chaos though, Shafer called for help from an unlikely source: his pet pit bull.

And fortunately for the fourth grader, she knew just what to do.

For Shafer and his family, February 14, 2018, must have seemed like an ordinary day.

His mother had left the nine-year-old alone at their Lincoln, Nebraska, home while she

went to pick up his siblings from school.

Shafer did have some company in the form of the family's one-and-a-half-year-old pit

bull, Baby Girl.

The brindle-and-white pooch had her moments of playfulness and liveliness, of course,

but that Valentine's Day would show her serious side.

It had all started with a noise at the front door, Shafer told 1011 NOW.

"I was upstairs when it happened," he said.

The din didn't raise any alarm bells for the fourth grader though, because he believed

it was his mom coming home from her errand.

"I thought it was my mom because I heard someone trying to open the door and I thought

it was her trying to unlock the door with her keys," Shafer said.

But when he saw the person who had come into his home, it wasn't the Shafer family matriarch.

According to Lincoln Police Department's officer Angela Sands, who spoke in a press

conference aired on ABC 8 KLKN-TV, the nine-year-old had "observed a white male wearing a ski

mask."

And she added, "He grew scared," which Shafer corroborated.

"It was in a blink of an eye and I was really scared because it was only me home and I didn't

know who it was," the boy told 1011 NOW.

To make matters worse, the fourth grader said the burglar seemed focused on him alone.

"It seemed like he wanted me 'cause when he saw me, he just slowly walked toward me

and he didn't look at anything else," he alleged.

"He just kept his eyes on me."

This led Shafer to theorize that the burglar didn't want his family's valuables – he

wanted him.

Then the burglar allegedly made his move in pursuit of Shafer.

"[He] started chasing me upstairs," the boy said.

And that's when Baby Girl got roped into the situation.

"I called my dog down," the nine-year-old said.

In spite of the jovial demeanor she exemplified on ABC 8's retelling of the ordeal, Baby

Girl's natural pit bull instincts reportedly took over when Shafer called her.

Her breed is known to be loving towards their family members but protective of them and

their homes.

Heeding her owner's call, Baby Girl started a scuffle with the burglar and went straight

for his legs.

"The dude pulled the blinds down on my dog's head," Shafer said.

But that wasn't enough to shake her – she was able to scare the intruder off.

"He ran away and shut the door," Shafer said.

Unsurprisingly, the nine-year-old felt shaken by the incident, but he hadn't come to any

harm.

Rather than remaining hidden upstairs though, he ran to a neighbor's house for help once

the burglar had gone.

Shafer's neighbors on the 600 block of Lincoln's North 30th Street helped him call both his

mother and the police to report the attempted burglary.

Fortunately, the nine-year-old had fled the scene unscathed; unfortunately, the alleged

intruder got away too.

On top of that, the ski mask obscured the man's face enough that the nine-year-old

said he couldn't identify who it was.

Police said the burglar had escaped from the crime scene in a silver car, but they had

no other defining characteristics to describe him.

Some wondered if Shafer's parents would be in trouble too, for leaving the nine-year-old

home alone on his own on a weekday afternoon.

But Lincoln Police said they hadn't issued any tickets in the case.

According to the authorities, leaving children at home alone is a judgment call that only

a parent can make.

Simply put, some kids are mature enough to take care of themselves, while others shouldn't

be left without supervision.

Fortunately, Shafer had a safety net: not only did his dog step in, but his neighbors

did too.

And while they didn't want to identify themselves in the press, they said it was how things

went in the neighborhood: everyone looked out for one another.

As for Shafer's mom, she said she felt so thankful that her son was okay afterward,

especially considering the fact that the intruder seemed more intent on the nine-year-old than

on anything else in the family's home.

Of course, no one acted as fiercely or protectively as Baby Girl did that day – and, for that,

Shafer gave his pooch a very special reward.

To thank her for her help, the fourth grader handed over a lollipop for his dog – his

hero – to enjoy.

Every now and again, you'll get the chance to make a difference in someone's life.

The trick is spotting those moments before they pass you by.

But when you can spot them…

lives can change.

The young man in the story below was saddened to see a family of 6 order a small pizza -all

they could afford- and then profusely apologize for the $1 tip they handed him.

What he did next will absolutely make your day.

The Story – told from the point of view of the young pizza-delivery man.

I delivered pizza for a couple years after high school.

We knew who tipped and who didn't.

Guess who's order got bumped to the top of my route whenever possible?

But from time to time I did get a heartfelt apology on why they couldn't tip more.

I got one such apology from someone that still sticks out in my mind.

It was a man in a small unkempt house(at least on the outside) who had ordered a small cheese

pizza.

He was profusely apologetic that he could only tip $1 (still not a no-tip like some

other more well off people).

I could tell he was being extremely genuine.

Then I saw through the door to the kitchen: all 4 kids and a teenager were waiting anxiously

for their pizza.

6 people sharing a small pizza because that was all they could afford..

It broke my heart.

My shift was just about over so I went back to cash out and made 2 large pizzas, wings,

chicken tenders, grabbed some sodas, the whole 9.

Then I went back.

It looked like this grown man was going to burst into tears when I gave it to him, he

was just super appreciative.

He offered to come down and pay for it all another day which I flat out refused.

Yeah I didn't do anything to get them out of their situation and it was the restaurant

footing the bill anyway.

But my hope is that he remembers that and maybe his kids learned that when you treat

someone like a human being good things can happen.

to see why Trump is celebrating this stunning announcement.

Despite the best efforts of the mainstream media, Hollywood, and political pundits who

have been predicting Donald Trump's demise since he announced his run for the presidency

in 2015, Trump's popularity has now surpassed former President Barack Obama's popularity

for the same time period in his presidency.

The president's popularity rating among likely voters hit a whopping 50 percent on

Monday, outpacing Obama at the same point in his first term, according to a new Rasmussen

poll.

A third of those polled said that they "strongly approve" of the president's job performance.

The poll found that 49 percent disapprove of the job that the president is doing, with

38 percent saying they "strongly disapprove."

President Donald Trump was in the upper 50s in the poll right after his inauguration,

a honeymoon period for any president, even though the Democrats did their best to ruin

his honeymoon with protests and riots from the day he was elected.

He last hit the 50 mark in February in the same poll.

Since that poll, there has been an onslaught of negative press, with CNN's nightly coverage

leading the charge.

It seems that the constant barrage of David Hogg and the other Parkland kids threatening

to infringe on the people's Constitutional right to bear arms has not had the desired

effect for Democrats.

At the same time in former President Barack Obama's first term, April 2, 2010, the poll

saw him with a 46 percent approval rating.

His disapproval came in at 53 percent.

The poll was conducted among 1,500 likely voters.

President Donald Trump celebrated the news with a tweet on Monday night.

"President Trump's approval rate among likely U.S. voters hit 50 percent on Monday,

which puts him higher than former President Barack Obama's score at the same point into

his first term, according to a new poll," he wrote with a screenshot of the story.

He was joined by others who helped him spike the football in former President Obama's

face.
