The Truth About Coconut Oil
The internets all in a tizzy over the latest mainstream media article on coconut oil which
claims its not, and never was, healthy.
All of the mainstream people are saying See, I told you so! while all of the more alternative
people are either outright denying it or saying Waitcould it be true?
Its time to set the record straightwith actual research.
Sois coconut oil good or bad?
The Truth About Coconut Oil
Coconut oil has had a lot of attention over the last several years, with both regular
people and experts touting it as a healthy choiceor even a miracle food.
Theres a lot of conflicting evidence on coconut oil out there. And, bottom lineit
seems to vary by how you look at the data. Some people are looking at data holistically
(mostly population-level data of traditional diets), and some are looking at it in an isolated
way (lab studies that directly compare coconut oil vs. another oil, with no other dietary
differences).
In general, what they find is this:
The holistic crowd can point to many large populations of people who consume a
lot of coconut products as part of their traditional diet, and who have very low rates of heart
disease and other modern issues. They use this as evidence that the coconut itself is
protective against these diseases.
The isolated crowd can point to a handful of studies (at least 21, in this review) where
coconut oil, when directly compared to another oil, appeared to increase the risk of heart
disease. They use this as evidence that coconut oil is dangerous and should not be consumed.
So who is right?
In some ways, both.
The truth is, coconut oil is not a miracle food. If you are eating an unhealthy diet,
adding in a spoonful of coconut oil everyday wont fix things. In fact, it could possibly
make things worse, if you believe the isolated studies.
But, coconut oil, as part of a healthy diet of unprocessed foods, is healthy and will
not cause issues.
Coconut oil does not need to be raised to the status of some holy, beyond-reproach food.
It has its uses, and in the context of a healthy diet, is perfectly safe to consume.
What About Overall Diet?
There were vastly different diet types in the population-level studies vs. the isolated
studies, which likely had way more to do with the outcome than which oil type they were
using.
In the population-level studies, people were generally eating a lot of starchy veggies
(along the lines of sweet potatoes) and a lot of fish, in addition to large amounts
of coconut products. Diets varied a bit, but these were the major components. Diets were
generally quite limited in scope. Its also important to note that these groups of people
ate whole coconut products, and not generally coconut oil in isolation. Coconuts come with
milk, water, cream, and flesh not just oil.
In the isolated studies, people were eating a more Western-type diet, higher in processed
foods, especially refined grains and sugar. Coconut oil could not overcome these negative
impacts.
What can we take from this?
Diets high in whole coconut products, fresh veggies, and seafood are generally healthy.
Diets that are high in refined grains and sugar, are not.
This does mean that the way that we use coconut oil in the Western world sometimes is potentially
unsafe. Some people swap it for butter in baked goods (which research says is slightly
better). But, choosing to use refined coconut oil, white flour, and sugar to bake and hoping
to reap the benefits of coconut oil is just not going to happen. Not really at least
not in terms of heart disease reduction.
Overall, this highlights how important our diet is as a whole, and that no single food
is individually a miracle. We also cannot expect to eat 90% junk good, and incorporate
the latest super food and expect to see miraculous health changes. What we eat
most of the time is what matters.
Please do note that coconut oil is an isolate of the whole coconut. Over-consumption of
coconut oil is not ideal; consumption of the entire coconut and all its parts is better.
As much as possible, we need to eat whole foods!
Coconut oil is also not necessarily ideal for topical use, at least not in all situations.
Its naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal, so it is excellent if you are dealing with
cradle cap, cuts or scrapes, or certain types of rashes. It also has a slight natural SPF,
so some people use it as a natural sunscreen.
However, coconut oil is also a rather dry oil, not a moisturizing oil. If you are looking
for something moisturizing, apricot oil is going to be a better choice. Coconut oil can
be drying to skin and hair.
Does Coconut Oil Have Other Benefits?
So, coconut is a healthy food, in its whole form, and in the context of an otherwise healthy,
unprocessed diet. All of the isolated studies have focused on heart disease risk. But what
about other potential benefits of coconut oil?
There are actually a whole bunch of studies. (Click the links below to see the studies.)
Coconut oil may reduce stress Whole coconut may treat or prevent Alzheimers
Coconut oil has a beneficial effect on cholesterol levels, including lowering LDL
Coconut oil protects brain health Coconut oil may reduce unhealthy yeast in
the gut Soybean oil increases the risk of diabetes
and obesity more than coconut oil
Obviously, yes, coconut oil has other health benefits. And, other studies show that coconut
oil is healthier (even in terms of heart disease and diabetes risk) than some polyunsaturated
oils the opposite of what this new review purported to find!
Coconut oil has clear health benefits, so avoiding consumption entirely because of a
few silly news articles is ridiculous. Just keep in mind its not a panacea; its
one part of a healthy diet.
Views on Health are Important
The truth is, we will never find the truth about a single optimal diet for humans, because
there isnt one. Every human has a different body chemistry, and whats right for one
person wont work for another.
Modern science generally ignores this, and assumes that by studying large enough groups
of people and isolating each ingredient, we can definitively answer whether or not that
food is healthy. But we cant really do that because people vary so much, and because
we dont eat single foods in isolation. Every food we eat counts towards making healthy
or unhealthy choices, and its our diet as a whole that really matters.
The holistic and traditional view of things aims to look at our diet as a whole, acknowledging
that you cannot isolate a single ingredient and see its effects on the body because
thats just not a real-world scenario. What we consume with that single food matters.
It can change how our bodies metabolize foods.
While Western medicine has its place, it is terrible with nutrition. All of the Western
advice on diet has been terrible, and continues to be terrible, as people who generally follow
a Western diet have high rates of cancer, obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and other
serious health issues. In short, I wouldnt consider Western advice on diet very strongly.
Well, probably not at all.
Make of all this what you will, but never listen to the media. They tend to blow things
out of proportion, and report preliminary or minor findings as major news. Always look
more closely instead of just believing what you read.

The design of the windshield and top box has become a bad PCX. :)
My weight is about 80 kg.
It will be the fuel consumption of such an assumption.
I think that it will be helpful.
Calculation of fuel consumption is a fuel consumption meter of a speedometer.
Also, I do not use an idling stop.
I do not use idling stops because I do not want to hurt the plug and the battery.
This is a switch of idling stop.
I do not use it.
The story of the introduction has become longer ...
And repeating the stop-and-go without any consciousness,
Also, the speed of the flow of cars in the early morning and late night.
In the case of such a situation.
It is fuel efficiency.

The fuel economy improves.
My daily maximum fuel consumption is 46 Km / L 108.2 MPG
Considering fuel economy,
Do not leave the throttle open.
Throttle off when you get on a cruise.

Please drive according to each scene.
It is also necessary to open the throttle and have fun riding.
By repeating such driving,

I think that the ride was bad.
I will consider how to drive until the next refueling.
I will reflect on.
PCX is a motorcycle that is easy to run.
It is a good small scooter.
In the next model change,
I think that it will be improved such as new exhaust emission regulation and ABS.
I think that fuel efficiency will further improve.
It is a motorcycle with good fuel economy.
It changes only by being conscious of a little driving method.
5 Km / L 11.8 MPG It changes more.
It is better to throttle off when going on a cruise.
It will improve fuel economy.
I am using Skywave and CB 400 SB as leisure.
I am not conscious of fuel economy.
Since leisure want to ride fun without worrying about fuel economy.
It is also necessary to enjoy.
PCX is a daily commute ride.
I am conscious of fuel economy. :)

(1/55) Tell the Truth to Yourself about Yourself - A Course on CwG, Session 1 - Duration: 12:34.
I am Neale and it's
just incredibly wonderful to have you with us.
I am really excited.
This is the first time that I have
ever done anything like this. It may be the first time for you as well, maybe not,
but it is for me and
I am pretty stoked.
I am stoked because
the Messages of Conversations with God are so important to me.
They've changed my life and they've changed the lives of other people around
the world already,
even before you have taken this course that much I know.
I know that because we have had
probably fifty thousand
letters and emails by actual call over the past several years
from people all over the world
telling us exactly that.
It is just
so exciting for me
to see the impact
of what has happened here.
You know when I first had the Conversations with God experience
I thought it was,
I really thought
that it was just my own personal
encounter;
my own personal
adventure;
my own personal experience.
Only after a while that I come to realize, come to know that
it was never really meant for me alone, but it was meant for
and I know this sounds grandiose,
but that it was truly meant
for the world entire.
That is it was meant for me
and for you,
that's why I am glad you are here,
because now
with this
new program that we are offering here,
with this new approach
to the sharing of my message
I have a chance to be with you
in a very personal and
a very intimate way;
a very meaningful way, a way I think
will and can touch your life
such that your life will in fact change.
So welcome,
welcome to this first lesson of this first course.
And I want to thank the wonderful people at Evolving Wisdom
for making this possible,
for making it possible for me
to be here with you
in this way.
You know, every human being who has ever lived
has felt an impulse
to know and to experience the Divine.
They understand intuitively that doing this will dramatically improve their lives.
Your Life
as God, the name of this course, lifts the content from three thousand pages
of Conversations with God dialogue
and condenses it into 24 clear,
crystal clear, remembrances
of how to apply your own
or to your own life the spiritual messages
that are changing the planet.
This course that you are about to take includes dynamic
weekly instructions like this;
an exclusive global
community forum for students and real time interactive Q/A sessions with me.
The course includes as well
your having the opportunity to just have your own Conversation with God,
one of many that you may have
for the rest of your life.
Personally identifying
as that which is divine you know is not something that most people do
intuitively or
cognitively.
If they have
such and identity at all, it's a cellular response, an instinctive pull,
it's an expansion and an expression at the energetic level.
It's the calling of life to life.
The question before every human being who has ever lived
is the same -
how can I answer
that call?
This course
can provide a moment unlike any other
in the entirety of your existence;
an opportunity
to experience the knowing
and the expression through you
of the Divine,
and then to watch
how that changes your life.
The embracing of this holy identity occurs in seven steps,
each forming a different lesson in this course. Those seven steps are: recognition,
exploration, comprehension, completion,
reconciliation,
affirmation,
and reunification.
Each step
forming one lesson in this class.
This is the first lesson
recognition.
In this lesson we will be identifying
what's missing
from your life.
As we begin
this journey together
you'll recognize and claim what you're yearning for in your life.
You know often people walk through their days and times
with a vague knowing that something is not quite right;
something is not
what it was supposed to be, something is not what it was meant to be.
Life is not
playing out the way it seemed to promise that it would.
The difficulty is that until a person identifies what's missing,
they can't fulfill the earnest request
of the soul.
This lesson, lesson number one, requires
a deep commitment from you to your own inner search
and it involves
the learning and the use
of the five levels of truth-telling.
We will get in to that in just a minute.
But let me tell you that in this lesson you will learn how to identify with
greater clarity than ever before,
your present and fullest truths,
both about yourself and about others,
as well as your truth about life as you are currently living it,
in all of its specifics,
including work,
relationship, parenting, health,
sexuality
and every other aspect
of your daily experience.
Having learned how to identify your truth,
you will be given the tools with which to express that truth,
in a way that others can hear and accept,
without feeling wounded or damaged in any way.
You will learn how to tell your truth
but speak your words with peace.
You will understand how to utilize a tool that I call,
The Present Moment of Life Chart,
that will help you overcome
all of your resistance
in to living the life you have wanted to live
and give you an ever knowing recognition of what is true for you
and how you want to live your life
from now on.
Through recognition you will find ways to move past identifying
and telling your truth about the present moment
to the next step,
which is how to identify
and articulate what you wish to experience in your life
in all your future moments,
through the
I want process.
So that's just a preview of
what you are going to experience now in this
first lesson.
And we shall begin
with the five levels of truth-telling.
My life
actually
changed,
when I was given the five levels of truth-telling
in the Conversations with God dialogue.
I never really understood really
the value -
this is a strange thing to hear me saying
but it's my truth.
I never really understood the value of truth-telling at this level,
at the level I am going to share with you now. - of course I knew
as we all know, tell the truth don't mind the people, tell the truth.
But this is more than just
simplistic
truth-telling, this is
the telling of truth
that
emerges from
and moves its way through you,
as a result of a deep
exploration;
a deep interior
digging;
a deep and pure and honest look at,
what is so for you.
There are five levels of truth-telling
I was told in the book Friendship with God.
You' will find this, by the way, in that book in case you want to take a closer look
at some of this or read more about it.
Go to the book
Friendship with God.
The first level of truth-telling
is to tell the truth
to yourself,
about yourself.
Now you might think that, that's pretty easy to do, in fact you might think as I
first thought when I heard this first step.
Well how can you not tell the truth to yourself, about yourself? I can
understand how you can lie to someone else, but
can you really and truly lie to yourself? But I want to tell you as a person who
did it for many years,
the answer is yes.
It's entirely possible
to lie
to yourself,
about yourself.
So the first level of truth-telling is a
courageous act;
it's a courageous choice; it's a courageous decision.
It's the decision
to tell the truth
to yourself,
about
yourself.
Let me tell you what that looks like, can I give you just an example?
I am
sometimes more sarcastic
than I want to be as a person.
I am sometimes more selfish
than I would like
to acknowledge, like to admit,
as a person.
I am often more demanding than I wish that I was, as a human being. These things
are all
true about me. By the way everybody who knows me,
will be happy to tell you this.
But it took me a while
to tell myself this
actually
quite a while.
It took me years to be able to acknowledge,
to tell the truth to myself about myself;
to allow myself to notice that what I was hearing from other people
was in fact true
in the main.
Not always, not every single day,
not every single moment. I could find
times when I could deny it and be
truthful in my denial.
That wasn't the way I am, that isn't the way I am,
on this particular day. But
people around you will tell you about you, whether you want them to or not,
but when you hear the same thing
from 6, 8, 10, 12 different
different people in your life,
across a number of years, you begin to realize: "you know what
there are some things I need to -
how it put it -
fess up to here.
And by the way not with
guilt,
not with shame,
simply with honesty.
I want to say just with honesty,
just to
be honest with yourself.
Because the first step toward
changing any of that,
is to
hold it. You cannot let go of what you do not hold.
If i want to let go of my glasses I have
to first hold them in my hands.
I can't let go of them
unless I am holding them.
Then I can let go of them.
So I have learned that the first step toward
shifting or changing anything about myself,
with which I am not entirely pleased
is to
hold it,
to embrace it, to
own it,
to call it my own. And I don't need to
to do that publicly. I mean I am
sitting here right now on television telling you all about it.
But I long since lost my need to look good to anybody.
So that's, by the way, a wonderful benefit of age.
Somewhere after sixty five you don't care how you look anymore to anybody.
But (that's) another story.
But
because I don't worry about how I look to other people, I can tell you my truth now.
But I want to share with you that
you don't have to do that, that's the point here.
You don't need to
wear your emotions on your sleeve, or reveal yourself to other people,
simply because you are telling to truth to yourself,
about yourself.
But you do need to reveal yourself
to you.
So I really want to urge you
to
pay attention - this is probably the most important
of the five steps,
of the five levels,
of truth-telling -
to tell the truth to yourself,
about yourself. Okay.

Fascinating Facts About the Romans - Duration: 12:25.
Ancient Rome had a huge effect on the world as we know it today.
Many of the ideas they had in regards to governing and infrastructure are still in use in the
modern world, and similar to Ancient Egypt, everyone knows quite a lot about the Ancient
Romans.
However, just like with the Ancient Egyptians, when a culture becomes that ingrained in the
public consciousness, we tend to learn a lot of things that aren't actually true.
Some of the stranger or less convenient facts get swept entirely under the rug.
The Ancient Romans are a fascinating culture, and in some ways stranger or more disgusting
than you might have imagined.
10.
Christians Weren't Fed To Lions and Many Tales of Martyrdom Were Exaggerated
One of the most popularly told tales about the Romans is how they fed the Christians
to the lions for having the audacity to start a new religion and do their own thing.
This has been recounted in so much popular culture it is staggering, and at this point
it may be impossible to remove it from the public mindset.
The sad part here is that it is incredibly untrue, but the untruth has become so ingrained
it may as well be fact to most people.
Not only are the stories about feeding Christians to lions without any real basis, but many
scholars argue that there is no real proof for the kind of sustained, and targeted persecution
that many later Christian writers would put forth.
There were, truthfully, only a handful of scattered years where Christians were ever
targeted specifically at all, and many of the more colorful accounts of martyrdom are
completely impossible to verify, and there is good reason to believe many of the stories
were much exaggerated.
Now, this doesn't mean that Christians weren't ever put to death for reasons that involved
their beliefs, but some scholars argue that in many cases where a Christian was killed
for being Christian, it was because they made statements refusing the divinity of the emperor
or something similar while in court.
This wasn't a specifically targeted persecution, even if it was a difficult position for them
to be in – not wanting to say someone is divine when they do not believe they are.
9.
In Ancient Rome the Word Decimate had an Entirely Different Meaning
When we use the word decimate today, we just mean to destroy something really badly, often
completely or entirely.
This is essentially the correct meaning now because of common usage, but when the term
was first coined, its meaning was much more literal.
As you might imagine from the root of the word, it originally had to do with the number
ten.
When a group of soldiers committed some crime, such as desertion, the entire troop would
be punished to put them in their place.
They would isolate the entire group, and then have them draw lots to decide who was going
to die.
The Romans would then force those who were to live to kill the tenth of the troops that
drew lots.
This meant that, quite literally, they were removing one tenth of that troop, or "decimating"
it.
This was one of the earlier forms of something referred to today as military discipline,
where an entire troop is punished for a few men's infractions, to make sure the entire
troop self-polices.
This can be seen some today in modern armies where someone will make a mistake and the
entire unit will be forced to pay for the mistake.
However, in today's modern world we don't kill our troops, we just make them do pushups
or something similar.
8.
Romans Shared a Sponge on a Stick for Cleaning Up After Using Public Toilets
Today we like to think of Romans as very hygienic for their time.
In fact, we often consider them a beacon of cleanliness that the world didn't see anything
like for quite some time.
They had their own sewer and water systems and they had public baths and were very much
into being clean.
However, the truth is that many of the Roman's habits would disgust many people today who
live in some of the countries without much infrastructure.
For example, their public bathrooms were a horror show.
It wasn't uncommon for gigantic rats to come out of the sewer, and because they contained
gases, fires could erupt randomly.
To make matters worse, the Romans at public toilets shared a single sponge on a stick
that they used to clean up after using the bathroom.
They would use the sponge on a stick to wipe themselves up, rinse it, and then leave it
for the next person to use.
Most people today would be absolutely disgusted by the thought of using a sponge to clean
themselves that a bunch of random people had also used.
And while people think they were clean, the Romans didn't actually bathe traditionally,
per se.
Instead, they would cover themselves in oils, and then scrape it off their skin with an
instrument called a strigil.
7.
The Romans Invented an Early Form of Concrete
The Romans did an incredible amount of building, and their gigantic structures as well as their
infrastructure such as aqueducts are one of the things they are most famous for.
One of the biggest reasons we still talk about their buildings so much is because so many
of them have managed to withstand the test of time.
They managed this by using an early form of concrete, something that was essentially unheard
of at that time in history.
On top of that, once the Roman Empire fell, the knowledge was lost, and concrete was basically
rediscovered much later on.
However, that doesn't mean that Roman concrete is the same as modern concrete.
Modern concrete is actually ten times the strength of Roman concrete, however, the concrete
they had back in the day was still an incredible achievement, and not just because they were
able to build it at all.
Because they had their own unique kind of concrete, it may have been weaker, but it
had advantages ours does not.
Due to being made with volcanic ash, it actually performs way better against erosion, especially
from water, something that modern concrete does not do very well with at all.
This has allowed their buildings to withstand the test of time, for generations of tourists
to continue to explore and be fascinated by.
6.
The Romans Drove a Birth Control Plant to Extinction
Back in the day Romans were definitely known for their love of sex, and they would not
have denied their love for it at all.
There was a plant called Silphium which they greatly prized, because they believed that
it could act as a method of birth control.
It could only be grown wild and attempts to put a quota on the harvest failed miserably,
due to how ridiculously popular the plant became.
It was soon worth an incredible amount of money, and before too many years, the Romans
had managed to lust their way to the extinction of the entire plant.
However, some people today wonder if it really worked.
The problem is that there is really no way to be actually sure.
The plant has gone extinct so we cannot really check samples, and there were plenty of dubious
medical cures in Ancient Rome, so this could have been one of them.
On the other hand, some experts believe it could have had abortion inducing affects,
which means all the men taking it would have been wasting their time and the plant.
However, the truth is that whether it worked or not is hardly important.
The truth is that just thinking it had that effect was enough – the Romans loved consequence
free sex so they drove the plant to extinction.
5.
Some Believe the Antichrist Referred to was Nero
The idea of an antichrist figure who becomes a ruler on earth, and helps set up the final
battle between good and evil, that culminates in the second coming of Christ, has been fascinating
people for a very long time.
Many people will claim that the latest world leader they don't like is the antichrist,
and many people have been suggested to be this figure over the years.
For some, the antichrist is always yet to come, but for others, he may have already
been.
Many scholars believe it is quite possible that the passages referring to the figure
we now call the antichrist were actually talking about the Emperor Nero.
This man blamed the Christians for the fire of Rome, and persecuted them greatly.
He killed his own mother and was known for being one of the most despicable tyrants in
the history of Rome.
However, even more telling, is the fact that when he died, many people believed he had
just disappeared.
Many believed he was actually going to be resurrected or return somehow, and bring more
great evil to the world.
And if you look at the encoded numbers that everyone always points to as the mark of the
beast, the numbers can represent Nero's name if you interpret them a certain way.
Of course, this interpretation may not have been accurate either, but the fact the Christians
thought he might resurrect at all shows how much they feared this man.
4.
The Romans Flooded the Colosseum in Order to Conduct Mock Sea Battles
The Romans were a culture that liked to do things on a very grand scale, and they certainly
kept true to this when they reenacted battles.
Specifically, they decided that they wanted to reenact large scale naval battles, so they
would dig out huge trenches in the ground, make artificial lakes, and then fill them
with soldiers and rowers carrying out the various parts of the battle.
In order to make it realistic as possible, prisoners and captured soldiers would literally
be forced to fight to the death as part of the mock battles.
These forms of entertainment were very popular, but due to the incredible expense they were
only done on special occasions.
Many people were not sure at first if the coliseum was used for these spectacles, as
it was hard to find physical evidence and it seemed like the structure would not support
it.
However, it turns out that the coliseum could have supported being flooded for such a purpose;
they just would have had to use much smaller scale ships and such.
And while there is little physical evidence, there are plenty of written sources that point
to the coliseum being used at least a few times for this purpose.
The Romans were always about going as big and all out as possible, and their theater
was some of the most advanced and realistic you would find anywhere.
Today, we stick with pretending to kill people when putting on a show.
3.
The Very Strange Lives of Ancient Rome's Vestal Virgins
The Romans were very religious and very superstitious and had many different gods.
One of the more important gods was called Vesta, a great goddess of fire.
They believed that as long as her fire was kept burning, Rome as a civilization would
endure for the ages.
To this extent, they decided they needed well trained and well-disciplined people to keep
the fire burning always, to make sure Rome remained.
For some reason, they decided that the best way to accomplish this would be to appoint
six young girls at a time, who would remain virgins as long as they remained in their
position.
It was a coveted position that gave them status most women would never get, but it did come
with the price of having to remain virgins for as long as they were helping keep the
fire lit.
A vestal virgin who briefly let the fire go out was punished severely, usually taken aside,
stripped and beaten in order to instill in them how important it is to attend to their
sacred duty.
And if a vestal virgin became a virgin no longer, it was considered an act of incest,
because they were married to the city, and the cities citizens were related to the city
in some form.
This logic may not sound particularly sound, but to the Romans, it was very important that
these women remained virgins.
When they committed the crime of being a virgin no longer, certain rules forbade the normal
means of execution for these women, so vestal no longer virgins were buried alive as punishment.
2.
Urine Was Used as a Cleaning Product for Both Teeth and Clothes
As we mentioned earlier, the Romans were known for being hygienic, but they also did a lot
of things that we might find rather questionable.
And one of the most questionable things would likely be the way they made use of urine.
Now, urine is mostly ammonia so it can be used in cleaning products, and ammonia does
have cleaning properties, but the difference is that today we are essentially processing
it to only keep the stuff we need.
Back in the day, Romans would use urine in order to whiten their teeth, and also in order
to clean clothes.
Urine would be collected throughout the day, and then diluted with water somewhat, and
poured over clothes, where the launderer would then stomp on them to sort of simulate the
workings of how a washing machine works now.
While it may have indeed been useful at getting out the stains, we don't really want to
imagine what their clothes would have smelled like, since they soaked them in unprocessed
urine in order to get them clean.
However, likely the Romans would have been used to the smell, or perhaps would have used
various oils or other perfumes to hide it.
As we mentioned earlier, they also didn't clean in the traditional sense to begin with
and instead oiled themselves and then scraped off the excess.
1.
There is Little Evidence That Romans Threw Up on Purpose So They Could Eat More Food
One of the most commonly believed myths is that Romans had a special room in which they
threw up food so they could then go eat more food.
This has been greatly confused because there is a word for a "vomitorium", but this
is just the exit of a coliseum, where it "vomits out" all the people back onto the street.
This "fact" has made its way into books like the Hunger Games series, where the people
of the capital are seen as being similar to the Romans in this respect.
When most people learn that this isn't actually true, many insist that the Romans at least
still threw up on purpose to eat more.
However, there is really little evidence of such actually happening.
Romans did sometimes throw up on purpose, just as some people do today.
But it is likely there were other reasons for it, just as there are today.
There is really little reason to believe that Romans were actually throwing up just to make
room for more food right there on the spot, and then stuffing down more, just to throw
up again.
This widespread belief, which is a great exaggeration, likely has made its way around due to the
fact that Romans were known for elaborate feasts and hedonism in general, making it
very easy to believe.
The truth is, what people are talking about likely wouldn't work that well anyway.
Most people don't feel like eating after being full, and don't really want to make
room for more, and most people certainly don't feel like eating after recently throwing up.

False Facts About The NBA You Always Thought Were True - Duration: 7:47.
Basketball is one of the most popular sports in the world, and the NBA offers the highest
and most exciting level of play.
After being around for more than seven decades, a great deal of lore and legend has grown
up around the NBA, which has led to a number of misconceptions.
Here are some false facts about the NBA you always thought were true.
Major distractions
Fans sitting behind the opponent's basket scream, shout, and wave their arms or objects
to psych out free throw shooters.
It's a fun ritual…but it doesn't really do any good.
Neuroscientist Daniel Engber told The New York Times
"Fans might think they're doing something by crazily waving their ThunderStix, but to
the players it's all just a sea of visual white noise."
But at least it's still fun.
"Take two of these, smack em together!"
Kobe Bryant was always a Laker
In a league where free agents jump from team to team in the hopes of landing the most lucrative
shoe contract, Kobe Bryant was a rare throwback, playing his entire 20 year career with the
Los Angeles Lakers.
But while it's true he never suited up for another team, he was actually a member of
the Charlotte Hornets for a very brief time.
In 1996, it was the Hornets who selected Bryant with the 13th pick in the draft before turning
around and immediately trading him to the Lakers.
"With the 13th pick in the 1996 NBA Draft… the Charlotte Hornets select, Kobe Bryant,
from Lower Marion High School."
End of a dynasty
The '90s-era Chicago Bulls reached legendary status when they "three-peated" — winning
three titles in a row — twice.
Led by Michael Jordan, the Bulls won it all from 1991 to 1993, and from 1996 to 1998.
But then, before the 1999 season started, Jordan re-retired, and Bulls fans still ponder
what might have been if he had continued playing.
However, statistics indicate 1998 was likely the end of the era either way.
After all, Jordan did return for the Washington Wizards in 2001 and delivered the lowest points
per game of his career.
Scottie Pippen was also on the downswing, with each year successively worse until his
retirement in 2004.
And Dennis Rodman only played 35 games after Jordan's retirement.
With an aging core, what the Bulls needed to keep going was strong young players, but
they didn't have them.
The 1998-99 Bulls had rookies like Corey Benjamin, Cory Carr, Kornel David, and Charles Jones.
None of them played more than four seasons in the NBA or amassed a lifetime points-per-game
average above 5.5.
In short, their time was up either way.
Sam Bowie vs. Michael Jordan
On paper, it looks like one of the dumbest decisions in the history of professional sports.
In the 1984 NBA Draft, the Portland Trail Blazers had the #2 pick and picked center
Sam Bowie rather than shooting guard Michael Jordan, who went with the next pick to the
Chicago Bulls.
"Portland selects...Sam Bowie, University of Kentucky."
"(Booing)"
Bowie's promising career was derailed by injuries, while Jordan went on to become someone who
many regarded as the best player in league history.
But did the Trail Blazers actually make a mistake?
Not only did they need a center, they already had a promising young shooting guard by the
name of Clyde Drexler.
Drexler, like Jordan, was a member of the 1992 Olympic "Dream Team" and is a member
of the Hall of Fame.
And after the Blazers acquired center Kevin Duckworth to replace Bowie in the lineup,
Drexler led the team to the 1990 NBA finals, a year before Jordan managed to make it.
Hindsight may be 20/20, but in this case, it's also wrong.
Jay Z owns the Brooklyn Nets
It seems like Jay Z has everything.
Mad flow.
Platinum records.
Millions of dollars.
Beyoncé.
He even owns the Brooklyn Nets!
Except that's one of the few things Jay Z actually doesn't have.
He may be an extremely wealthy musician and entrepreneur, but professional sports franchises
are too rich even for his blood.
At one point, Jay Z owned just one-fifteenth of 1 percent of the Nets, for which his buy-in
was reportedly a relatively paltry $1 million.
Jay Z sold his share in 2013, and while he no longer owns a piece of the team, he does
have a piece of the place where it plays.
The Brooklyn Nets take the court at Barclays Center, of which Jay Z owns one-fifth of 1
percent.
Disney Magic
The Orlando Magic hit the court in 1989, the first major American pro-sports franchise
in the Orlando area, a place which is famous worldwide as the home of Walt Disney World's
Magic Kingdom.
But the Magic aren't actually named for Disney.
Nope.
In the mid-1980's, Orlando businessman Jim Hewitt and ex-Philadelphia 76ers GM Pat Williams
were looking to drum up support for a possible franchise, so they got the Orlando Sentinel
to hold a contest to name the team.
The finalists from over 4,000 entries were The Tropics, The Juice, The Heat, and The
Magic.
Before the naming committee met to pick a winner, Williams' daughter Karyn, who was
7 years old at the time, came to Orlando for a visit and told her dad that she liked Orlando
because it was "like magic."
Williams passed this anecdote on to the committee, and the rest is NBA history.
Sorry, Mickey!
"The Flu Game"
With the 1997 Finals tied at two between the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz, Game 5 was crucial.
Jordan came through, leading all scorers with 38 points in the win despite telling reporters
that he was "really tired and very weak" after suffering from dehydration and difficulty
breathing.
Jordan was visibly ill throughout the game, and with symptoms pointing to the flu, the
performance has gone down in league history as "The Flu Game."
But Tim Grover, Jordan's personal trainer at the time, blames another culprit, claiming
Jordan was actually poisoned!
Well, maybe.
According to Grover, Jordan had a pizza delivered at 2 AM the night before.
Suspiciously, it was delivered by five guys rather than the usual one.
Only Jordan ate the pizza, and he became immediately sick, "curled up in the fetal position" all
night.
Whether or not he was intentionally poisoned, just had some bad pizza, or was suffering
from something else like altitude sickness, one thing everyone agrees on is that Jordan
didn't have the flu.
"it's all about desire you just got to come out here and do what you gotta do.
We wanted it real bad.
And you know, me as a leader, I had to come out and do my best."
100 points
On March 2nd, 1962, the Philadelphia Warriors hosted the New York Knicks in Hershey, PA
and beat them 169 to 147.
Wilt Chamberlain led all scorers, with a record-setting 100 points.
It certainly seems like an impressive feat.
But was it really?
The game wasn't particularly competitive, as the Warriors were an elite playoff team
and the Knicks were bottom dwellers.
Once the Warriors realized Chamberlain had a chance at setting the scoring record, they
began feeding him the ball on nearly every possession, leading to Chamberlain taking
an insane 63 shots, in addition to an equally ridiculous 32 free throw attempts.
And neither team played any defense, with the teams combining for a ridiculous 316 points,
in what amounted to more of an exhibition game than a true sporting event.
Sorry, Wilt.

Manager sends warning to Man United about signing 28-year-old attacker
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move to bring the 28-year-old Croatian winger to Old Trafford in recent weeks as Jose Mourinho searches for his third signing of the summer.
Manchester United are thought to be keen to further bolster their attacking options at Old Trafford ahead of Mourinhos second season in charge at the club.
However, there has been no official announcement from the Red Devils as they continue to be linked with a host of Europes top players this summer.
Spalletti claims that Manchester United were in contact with Inter about Perisic earlier in the summer but that there has not been any more progress since then.
Spalletti is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail: Until now, there hasnt been any important contact.
There was something you already know about at the beginning of the window [but] there was no follow-up and so, for me, the topic is over.
Its true as time goes by, it becomes more and more difficult to replace him with another player. I will strongly oppose the sale of Perisic if an offer comes.
Manchester United have so far only concluded deals to sign defender Victor Lindelof and striker Romelu Lukaku this summer. The Red Devils won both the EFL Cup and the Europa League in Mourinhos first season in charge at the club.

got to say I watched the whole video link to it down below it wasn't really
compelling for me I just say it looked like the information could have been
faked I know they are there we see a lot of money and that they faked their bank
videos but them's baking like small giveaways of 100 mil kind of seems odd
but it might be possible you know take a look at the video down below and make
the judgement yourself I'm just saying that the the proof presented could have
easily been faked but who knows guess fearsome and next up there has been many
people talking about a rumor of a twitch streamer faking his own death for
publicity basically going me up for a long time making stuff look like he had
died and then he was just supposedly going to show up out of nowhere and get
a bunch of views out of it if you don't know who fat tastic mole is he is a
stager and so on who has a bunch of room craft and XP on one of his accounts
there has been like a picture circulating of him message and so on on
twitch talking about him faking his death now I say this is a rumor because
this looks like solid evidence again this could be Photoshop but people are
saying why would son go out of their way to photoshop extremer faking his own
death like that doesn't really add up but I'm
just saying it could be Photoshop or that could be the real deal and he was
actually trying to fake his own death I'm not trying to make you guys think
one way or Never I'm just saying this is information I've been circulating you
guys can think about it as you want to think about it don't let me make you

casually going on a demonic gorilla trip died however it is like one problem he
literally couldn't pick up his stuff his stuff
was glitched inside of a wall like dude look at this picture and some of you are
just cringing I'm cringing because like can you imagine dying and going back and
seeing your stuff disappear inside of a wall I guess where he died made his
stuff spawn like outside of the game so his stuff is just basically chilling
there and if he can't do anything about it I don't know I believe he tweeted out
mods I don't know if they would return his stuff but obviously that is a game
bug I believe it might not be a game about maybe that's intended but wow that
sucks yeah guys this closes off the show video the comment I am picking for today
the comment of the day is coming from someone telling me that instead of
picking comments randomly for the giveaway for the shuttle winning the
twisted bow I should pick them by hand which is ironic because I basically
listened to what you said and you want so I might do a randomly I might pick a
by hand who knows also one build disco giveaways on the 22nd of each month link
