LA GALAXY chief Chris Klein says his club has an incredible relationship with Zlatan Ibrahimovic but revealed the Swede wants to stay in Europe.
The comments will boost hopes that the former Barcelona star, who is recovering from a knee injury, will be re-signed by Manchester United. Zlatan Ibrahimovic hopes to be fully fit by the end of the year.
The Swede is recovering from a cruciate ligament knee injured sustained in April. Ibrahimovic scored 28 times in a hugely impressive start at United last season, before being sidelined by a nasty cruciate ligament injury in April.
The 35-year-old is out of contract but completing his rehabilitation at United, and has posted images on Instagram showing his strong progress.
Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho dropped a big hint last week that Ibrahimovic could be re-signed by United when he is back to full fitness.
La Galaxy were reported to have bid for the Swede – whose former clubs include Barcelona, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain – last March.
And now club president Klein has reaffirmed their interest, while admitting a deal is not likely in the near future. "We have an incredible relationship with Zlatan and his agent," Klein said.

Jose Mourinho has said United could re-sign Ibrahimovic when he is fully fit. "Zlatan loves our club, and he loves LA. We have an interest in him," Klein added.
"But I think, for now, he wants to stay in Europe. "Our doors are open for a player like that. We have rights to him in our league. Well see where that goes.".

Nemanja Matic has undergone his medical ahead of moving to Manchester United and he might have revealed his squad number already.
A picture of Matic in a United training kit emerged online on Sunday afternoon after M.E.N. Sport reported the club was hopeful of concluding a deal for the 28-year-old Chelsea midfielder.
then wrote Matic had undergone checks at Uniteds Carrington training complex ahead of an official announcement, while fans speculated whether the picture of Matic was authentic.
It is believed the image is legitimate and Matic donned the number 31 for his medical. Training kit numbers are usually the players squad numbers and Matic could be about to inherit Bastian Schweinsteigers old number.
Schweinsteiger received his favoured number 31 from Marouane Fellaini upon joining United in 2015. United are yet to officially confirm their list of squad numbers for the forthcoming campaign but new signings Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku will wear two and nine.
Andreas Pereira has sported the number 15 during Uniteds pre-season fixtures, which suggests he could be bumped up from 44.
Matic could make his first United appearance in Wednesdays friendly with Sampdoria in Dublin before a possible competitive debut in the Super Cup against Real Madrid on Tuesday week.
United have admired Matic since David Moyes brief tenure and a source described him as institutionally liked by the clubs scouts.
Moyes was well poised to sign Matic in 2014 but the Scot dithered over a deal and Mourinho convinced Matic to rejoin Chelsea for £21m.
Mourinho wanted to sign Matic last year but Chelsea coach Antonio Conte blocked a move and the Serbia international started 38 Premier League games as the Stamford Bridge club regained the title.
United also considered Tottenhams Eric Dier to reinforce their midfield but Matic was deemed more attainable and Mourinho is more familiar with the Serbia international, having managed him for nearly two years at Chelsea.

A PICTURE appearing to show Nemanja Matic wearing a new Manchester United training top has emerged. SunSport told you earlier United were close to agreeing a £50million deal to sign the Chelsea midfielder.
Nemanja Matic appears to have completed his Manchester United transfer. Reports have since emerged claiming Matic, 28, has undergone a medical at Carrington today.
And a photo of the Serbian wearing a United shirt has fuelled speculation his move is complete. Matic wears the No31 top in the snap – formerly worn by Bastian Schweinsteiger. He has already agreed terms to make the Old Trafford switch.
Matic sat out Chelseas pre-season tour of China and Singapore – alongside Diego Costa – in an attempt to seal his Stamford Bridge exit.

A deformed 'alien' skull has been unearthed by archaeologists in Crimea.
Researchers in Crimea have unearthed the remains of a child with an extremely elongated skull
during excavations at the Kiz-Blue necropolis near Kerch, Crimea.
At the time of his death, the child was little more than a year old and is believed to have
belonged to the old Sarmatian village.
Experts believe the child had undergone the ancient practice of cranial deformation, who
also believe the remains of the child are around 2,000 years old.
'Elongated skulls were traditional for the Sarmatian culture,' he said, according to
Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper.
'They thought this was more beautiful.'
Interesting, Russian state media reported how researchers supporting the ancient alien
theory believe how owners of such extremely lengthened skulls may have been human-extraterrestrial
hybrids.
However, archaeologists disagree with the ancient astronaut theory saying that
'Elongated skulls were traditional for the Sarmatian culture,' said Nikolay Sudarev,
a scientist from the Archaeology Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences, according
to Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper.
'They thought this was more beautiful.'
It is believed how artificially elongated skulls were the signs of a true warrior and
that this deformation process was practiced by various ancient civilizations around the
globe.
However, experts have yet to identify why so many ancient cultures performed artificial
cranial deformation.
Artificial cranial deformation begins when children are still young, and their bones
relatively 'soft'.
Elders would adhere specially made wooden plans to the skull, pressing the bones in
a specific way that as the head of the child grows, it alters its original shape, creating
an elongated skull.
These deformations are believed to have also been related to altering the character and
producing extremely aggressive warriors.
Elongated skulls are a global phenomenon.
The most amazing elongated skulls are believed to have been discovered in Peru when in 1928
Peruvian archaeologist, Julio Tello came across a complex and sophisticated graveyard containing
various objects including countless elongated skulls which have since been dubbed as the
Paracas skulls.
Several tests have been performed on the enigmatic Paracas skulls with controversial results.
As noted by Brien Foerster, "Iit had mtDNA with mutations unknown in any human, primate
or animal known so far."
"The few fragments I was able to sequence from this sample 3A indicate that if these
mutations will hold we are dealing with a new human-like creature, very distant from
Homo sapiens, Neanderthals, and Denisovans.
I am not sure it will even fit into the known evolutionary tree," explained Foerster in
a video.
The Paracas skulls have baffled experts ever since their discovery.
According to research, the cranial volume of the "Paracas Skulls" is up to 25% larger
and 60% heavier than conventional human skulls, prompting numerous questions about their true
nature.
So far experts have found traces of elongated skulls all around the planet: Mexico, Peru,
Bolivia, Egypt and even parts of Asia features these enigmatic skulls which have left experts
scratching their head.

Why Prince William and Kate are being urged not to have third baby by children's organisation - Duration: 1:58.
San-Francisco based children's organisation, Having Kids, has written an open letter to
Prince William and Kate, urging the royal couple not to have another baby.
The company, which promotes smaller families, has posted the letter on their official website,
"respectfully" asking the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to "consider forgoing having
a third child".
The letter, signed by the company's president Carter Dillard and executive director Anne
Green, noted the influence that Prince William and Kate have as public figures, and the power
they have to "model a sustainable small family".
The letter cited environmental reasons like climate change, economic equality and the
distribution of resources.
It continued: "Of course, we know that Prince George and Princess Charlotte are certain
to have wonderful lives, protected from the deprivations of poverty and the threat of
environmental degradation.
They will receive optimal amounts of care and attention, as well as the best possible
education.
But the same can't be said of every future child."
The letter concluded by explaining the Fair Start family planning model.
It read: "Rather than having a third or more children, families consider forgoing another
child and taking part of the substantial resources saved to help a different family plan a fair
start in life for their child.
The point is simply this: Family planning should be child-centred, and the Fair Start
model is a serious move towards ensuring all children get the equal opportunities in life
they deserve.
And that they do so in a healthy, safe, and greener environment."

Five Minutes Forward.
How many times in the last week
have you said or
heard "I don't
have time?"
This week's message is "what
you do with your time is
up to you."
So, I recommended removing
"I don't have time" from
your vocabulary.
It's your choice.
You have the time.
It's just that you're choosing
to do something else with it.
Right? You could do whatever
it is someone's asking you.
You could do that thing that
occurs to be.
Yeah. Probably a pretty good
idea if I did it.
But I just don't have time.
Yeah.
You actually do.
You could invest your time in
doing that thing.
And you don't have to.
So, to stop disempowering
yourself with another can't,
with another ready-made excuse.
Right, and then it's a good
one. Other people buy it.
It's like a badge of honor in
this culture to be really,
really busy.
I'm too busy.
I don't have time.
I can't get to that.
If you want to deal with things
effectively.
If you want to deal with things
completely and
keep giving yourself power
and stop giving your power away
to your schedule,
to what you claim the world is
pressing on you,
then take your power back
and get and say
"No.
I'm just not going to do that."
That's got power.
That's got reality to it,
because that's simply what's
going to happen. You're either
going to do it or not.
The choice is yours.
You could put the time in,
if it occurred to you as being
important.
Certainly, if it occurred as
being vital and urgent,
you would make the time.
So, just know that
you could make time for it.
You're just choosing not to,
and if it's important enough
carve out some time in your
calendar in advance.
I remember being in a meeting
with a management team where
a middle manager came
to the table.
He had proposed a project with
a new process for how they
could manage their production
flow, and
it was OKd.
We said let's move forward with
it.
Here is your job.
Here's what your task is.
Right. Like lead up the team
and his response was
"I don't have time.
I'm too pressed. I can't even
get my job done the way it is
currently." So,
my question was;
Are you sure?
Now show me.
We'd already done the training
where every aspect of the
team's work was in their
calendars.
So, when you're managing your
calendar effectively and
rigorously, you can see what
you have time for and
how you have to create time if
you need to do something else.
The short story was of course
he had time.
When we rigorously documented
what he was doing.
How much time that took and
what was left over.
He had plenty of time to head
the project which was
appropriate because it was his
idea.
He knew it was important.
He knew it would make a
difference and once we got
past the illusion called "I
don't have time." He was freed
up to be able to put that thing
into reality and it made
a difference for the company
and for the revenue.
So, let go of.
I don't have time.
Choose what you have time for.
Choose what you're going to
spend your time on
and choose wisely.

Nemanja Matic factfile Born in Sabac, Serbia, in August, 1988. He began his career aged five at Vrelo, where he was coached by his father, just 500m from his house.
In 2005 he signed for Serbian club Kolubara, and then moved to Slovakian side Kosice in 2007. He spent time on trial at Middlesbrough before Chelsea beat Sunderland and Tottenham to sign him in August 2009 for £1.5million.
After two first team games, Chelsea sent him on loan to Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem. In January 2011 Matic was sold to Benfica along with £21million in exchange for Brazil defender David Luiz.
He flourished at Benfica, was named Portuguese Player of the Year and reached the Europa League final, where they were beaten by Chelsea.
In January 2014, Chelsea, under manager Jose Mourinho, signed him back for £21million, and he made his second Chelsea debut against Man Utd.
He has won two Premier League titles in three seasons at Chelsea, and last season played 40 games, scoring twice including a stunning strike in the FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham.
Matic is a strong tackling defensive midfielder who is tactically disciplined and at 6ft 4in tall is very good in the air. His brother Uros is also a professional footballer, with FC Copenhagen.
He is married to childhood sweetheart Aleksandra, who he met at school, and they have two children.
