One too many times...

... I fell over you.

Once in a shadow...

...I finally grew.

And once in a night...

I dreamed you were there...

I cancelled my flight...

From going nowhere...

It´s all I can do.

To keep waiting for you..

It`s all I can do.

It`s all I can do!

One too many times...

I twisted the gate.

When I was crazy...

I thought you were great.

I kept my renditions...

...Of you on the wall....

...where holiday romance...

It`s nothing at all.

It`s all I can do...

To keep waiting for you...

It`s all I can do.

It`s all I can do!

You wait in the wing...

..like a saturday flirt...

Protecting the judge.

You don`t want to get hurt.

And once in a moment.

It all comes to you.

As soon as you get it.

You want something new.

It`s all I can do.

To keep waiting for you.

It`s all I can do.

It`s all I can do!

It`s all I can do.

To keep waiting for you.

It`s all I can do.

It`s all I can do!

It`s all I can do.

To keep waiting for you.

We can choose to change our times. Federica Mogherini at #EuropeTogether - Duration: 20:59.

Thank you, grazie Gianni (Pittella), Sergei (Stanishev), thank you for organising this,

it's good to be… back home.

We are living, indeed, difficult times.

Some of the photos you have just seen, some of the things Gianni has just said remind

us all that we definitely live in difficult times.

It is easy to have the feeling that working for peace and security – and we are not

ashamed of saying peace – in our times, is becoming more difficult than ever.

The point is that we don't get to choose the kind of times we live in.

You don't choose the time you live in, you don't choose your parents, you don't choose

your neighbours…

Everything else in live somehow you can choose, or at least you can determine.

We don't get to choose the kind of times we live in, but we can choose to try and change

our times, together – together – with those who share our aspiration to a more peaceful

and secure world.

And this is what truly defines us, as a political family – as Progressives, Socialists, Democrats:

the desire for change.

The belief that we, that our action together can change things.

The belief that tomorrow can be better than today, if we work for that.

That despite all obstacles, progress is always possible, however difficult it may seem.

The belief that "it always seems impossible, until it's done" – as Nelson Mandela used

to say.

But if we want to be the drivers of change, we need to have the courage of our own ideas.

In global affairs, we need the courage to say that yes, there is an alternative to the

foreign policy of isolation, fear, protectionism, threats and confrontation.

There is an alternative, and that's the European way.

We can be proud of that.

There is an alternative made of cooperation and partnership, of international law, respect

of international standards, multilateralism, and the constant search for win-win solutions.

For us – the Democrats, the Socialists and the Progressives – this alternative is based

on our ideals.

It is part of who we are.

I wonder how many in this room – for sure myself, but I'm sure many of you – have

started to be engaged in politics because of some international campaign, because of

some tension or injustice that we have seen in the world, and we wanted to change.

This is part of who we are.

I know this may sound a bit idealistic – maybe yes, but let me say that there is nothing

wrong with being idealistic, particularly in these times of cynical realpolitik.

(Applause).

I'm often accused – and many of us, I think, are often accused of being naïve.

No.

It's because we know that it is not only right to look for cooperation, to do politics also

with a smile, also with our feelings, but it is also the most useful thing to do.

Because there is more than believing in what we are doing.

We know that cooperation and partnerships are not only more just, but more effective.

We know that the solution to the issues of our times will never come from isolation,

confrontation and protectionism.

We know this because that's our European experience.

Centuries of confrontation and war led us to believe that building our Union together

was much more convenient for all of us.

This is the European experience: when we decided to stop fighting, build our Union, we achieved

sixty years of peace, rights, and unprecedented levels of economic and social opportunities.

A welfare system that has no comparison in the world.

This is when we realized that shooting at each other, killing each other was not leading

us anywhere, but cooperation with each other would lead us to be the most successful regional

integration process in human history.

With the courage of our ideas, we also need the pride for what we have achieved together,

as a political family and as a Union.

We need the pride to say that the alternative to the politics of isolation and hatred – hatred

– is already there.

It is made of practical policies on sustainable development, on a humane system to manage

migration together, on a strong multilateral system.

And it is delivering some very concrete results, already today.

Perhaps the most important one is summed up by the keyword we have chosen for all our

events: together.

Together – first and foremost, together as a Union, a community of shared values and

interests.

And this makes us unique, precious on the world stage.

If you look around us, today, there is one global power that is credible, reliable, predictable,

humane and indispensable to the rest of the world, and not only to its own citizens.

And that is us, the European Union.

(Applause).

And also on the global stage, the word "together" truly sums up our action.

It's the European way: to do things together with others.

In a moment when the United Nations are under attack, we are the strongest and most reliable

supporter of an effective multilateralism – because we know this is our own interest,

that coincides with the interest of others.

We are the strongest partner of our friend Antonio Guterres, who is doing a wonder job,

and of his work to reform the UN system and make it deliver at full on the challenges

of our times.

Because we know that we cannot be better off if the rest of the world is going wrong.

It is also in our interest to invest in peace, security, economic and social development,

protection of the environment – everywhere in the world.

We are all connected.

Because we know how crucial the United Nations and its agencies are.

Sorry, I go to very practical things, but policy and politics is about very practical

things.

We understand – in Europe, as Socialists, Democrats and Progressives – the value of

UNESCO, to protect cultural heritage in conflict, to protect history, memory, the identity of

the people of the world.

We value the work of the World Food Program to prevent a humanitarian crisis.

And rather than complaining afterwards, for not having funded the World Food Program in

the refugee crises, we fund the World Food Program – because preventing a crisis is

always better than dealing with it.

And we are the strongest supporter of the UNHCR, UN Refugee Agency, as they work to

save millions of displaced people – men, women and children who flee from war, exactly

like we Europeans did during so many European wars in the last centuries.

All this is not charity.

These are key contributions to our common European security.

We are the ones who believe in win-win solutions, and in the importance of sticking to the agreements

that we have reached together.

Starting with the deal with Iran.

A deal that we negotiated for months and years – twelve years, it all started with Javier

Solana, one of my great predecessors and members of our family – and that managed to an effective

monitoring system, to make sure that Iran's nuclear program could only have peaceful purposes.

The IAEA has conducted hundreds of inspections, has verified the deal eight times, and it

has said, again in these days, that Iran has complied with all its commitments – all

of them.

It is a deal that has prevented and continues to prevent a nuclear arms race in the Middle

East, next door to us.

(It is a deal) that brought security to our region and hope to the people of Iran – those

young people who celebrated in the streets of Teheran and who deserve, as much as the

European young people deserve, a brighter future.

And it has also created great opportunities for us, Europeans.

That deal was possible thanks to us, to the European way and to our role as a mediator.

And as we were indispensable to reach the deal, we are and we will be – in the coming

days, weeks and months, which will be difficult – a point of reference for all those who

believe that when multilateralism delivers, it needs to be protected.

Especially, you cannot afford in the world of today, where everything is going wrong,

to dismantle the single agreement that is working – especially on nuclear non-proliferation.

There are some who believe that strength, in foreign policy, means scrapping rules and

agreements, and move on in isolation.

Alone against the others.

That being strong means being tough.

Let me tell you – I think it's an experience we have all made in life – that you need

more strength to smile than to shout.

The real strength lies in creating the space for dialogue, for a win-win solution.

The real strength lies in building new partnerships, listening and understanding and finding the

common ground, and making sure that our partners are also strong.

Fighting, shouting, being tough for the sake of being tough is often a sign of weakness,

not of strength.

(Applause).

It is when you are strong, and self-confident, that you can afford to make peace and build

partnerships – cooperation, not confrontation.

This is also the meaning of "together".

This is the guiding light in our work with Africa.

Gianni is perfectly right: we turned the page.

A few weeks we were together in the European Parliament for the Africa week you organised.

And the hashtag for that event was #withAfrica.

It is not just a good hashtag, or a good slogan.

I think it explains the historic change that our relationship with Africa needs and that

we are putting in place, as European Union and as a political family.

From the logic of aid, to the logic of partnership.

It's a Copernican revolution.

It's what Africa needs and what we need.

We don't just work for Africa, we work with Africa – knowing that there are some things

they know better than we do, and we need to do things together.

And we – the Democrats, the Socialists and the Progressives – we must lead this change

of attitude, this change in mentality in the way we relate with the rest of the world.

These are not just good intentions.

We are making this change happen, with our daily work.

This is the logic behind our External Investment Plan Gianni was referring to – that now

has become reality, also thanks to our joined-up work in the Commission, in the Council and

in the Parliament.

This was our initiative and it came to reality, bringing private investment in the fragile

parts of Africa, to match sustainable development with the objective of creating sustainability

in the fragile areas of the continent.

Again, this is a win-win.

It is a win-win for the European private sector, for the European citizens, and for the African

citizens, especially the youth.

"Together" is how we are dealing with migration.

This is not a war between the North and South, Europe and Africa.

Actually, I often remind to the whole of us that there are more people moving within Africa,

than from Africa to Europe.

It's a global phenomenon that we need to manage together.

Only together we can make it sustainable.

It is not a phenomenon to stop: it is a phenomenon to manage, in a humane, sustainable manner.

And let me add one thing.

I know it's very unpopular, but sometimes you need to tell the truth.

Occasionally…

(Applause).

If all migrants were to disappear from the European Union, entire sectors of our economy

would collapse tomorrow morning.

We have to have the courage to tell the truth.

(Applause).

This doesn't mean open borders, this doesn't mean fences.

This means a partnership with the countries of origin and transit to work on a sustainable,

rational, humane way to manage the phenomenon together.

Together with the countries.

Together with the NGOs, that are doing a remarkable job.

Together with the UN agencies, together with our partners in the world.

Putting at the centre human beings – human beings: it's never about numbers, it's people

with a name, with a story, with a family, with parents and children.

People like us, like each and every individual in this room.

(Applause).

Together with African, and with our African partners, we are also working to create good

jobs, in a continent that is extremely young and hopeful.

But we also have to take care of the security of the continent – avoid that the Sahel

explodes, the Horn of Africa, the Lake Chad region.

This is our immediate neighbourhood.

And here, also on security, our engagement as a political family is truly essential.

We have to deal with security – and make sure that security forces, for instance in

our partners countries are professional, well-trained and respect the human rights of each and every

human being.

The work we are doing on security and defence – inside Europe and with our partners – is

sometimes controversial in our political family, I know that well.

It's in my job description, but still, I belong to this family.

But I can tell you this is something that – as European, Socialists, Democrats and

Progressives – we can all be proud of.

Our work for a European Union of security and defence has nothing to do with "militarising"

our continent.

On the contrary, it's a way to get strategic autonomy from others.

It's a way to put in place the European way to peace and security.

First of all, this is about spending better our resources.

Spending more or less is a decision for national governments and parliaments, but spending

better is an issue of European Union capacity.

In times of strong constraints on our budgets, after so many years of tough financial crisis

– and Gianni said it all about it – can we afford to duplicate spending within 28

Member States, or to invest our resources in an ineffective manner?

Our work over the past year has constantly aimed at creating something the European Union

is perfect for: economies of scale.

Because together – together – we can invest better than alone, use our budget more effectively,

avoid any kind of duplication or waste.

A European Union of security and defence has nothing to do with "militarisation" also

for another reason – even more important to me.

Hard power, the strength of military force – we are not naïve – sometimes is helpful,

sometimes is needed.

Sometimes it is needed to protect people on the ground.

But for us, Europeans, it is never the solution, alone.

Never.

It always comes with diplomacy, the patience of mediation, conflict prevention, with the

work on reconciliation and reconstruction.

Our military staff – because we do have military personnel of the European Union,

serving in our missions and operations around the world – works side by side with the

police officers, the lawyers and the doctors, the aid workers and the human rights experts,

the UN agencies and the civil society organisations, the engineers and the school teachers.

And in most cases, all these people couldn't do their job in difficult security situations

without our military personnel.

So whenever I visit one of our missions and operations – be it in Mali, or elsewhere

in Africa and in our region, or in the Mediterranean Sea, where we have saved tens of thousands

of people – I am proud of the work our military is doing under the EU flag.

Because for us the use of force is always at the service of human beings, always at

the service of peace.

This is why we need a European Union of security and defence.

And this is why we – as a political family – must be engaged in this process all along

the way.

We must be proud of our work to make our citizens more secure.

Do not leave this issue to the right.

Because there is a way and another way to guarantee security.

It is not ignoring the issue that we will have cleaner hands.

But I do not want to see a right-wing approach to security only.

I want us to engage on how we create real, sustainable security.

A security that includes the rule of law, human rights everywhere in the world: sustainable

security.

And we should make sure that our ideas and our ideals shape the European work ahead of

us.

I've been long, I close it here.

I'll say only that the years ahead will be important.

We need to bring our ideas and our ideals into the way we shape the future of the European

Union.

Because we don't get to choose the kind of times we live in, inside the Union and outside

of it, in the world, but we can choose to shape our times – together.

Thank you.

What I'm going to show you today is my biggest and most

important project I've ever made in my life, so understand me if I'm

a bit nervous and shaky.

So you already know hoow much I love making videos,

Virtual Hero: The Series

Coming soon

Yes guys, it fills me with pride and satisfaction

to finally announce to you all

that i'm working in a animation series

or... on an anime, whatever you want to call it

Now, I'm going to explain more about it, OK?... But, holy shit,

-why am I clapping like a seal-

DAH HYYYPEEEE

Well that's it, we've been spending time here working on an anime of my baby

- cute - for about two years

or something like that, and I have a lot of things

to tell you. OK. I don't know where to start. If you've followed me

from a while ago, and you know me a little, you will know I'm a fan

of anime. I always loved everything Japanese culture

and stuff, you will know it from the videos

that I posted a while ago, the vlogs and stuff, but what you don't know

is how they offered me to make this series.

Basically Movistar and Zepellin, the producers of this series, offered me a while ago to do some

TV series with me, flesh and bone

and stuff, with my face and stuff...

I never liked the idea; I've been offered to make movies and stuff, but as always

I say no, because... a lot of things,

I don't know, but finally I talked with them

and stuff, and we made an agreement to do something

that would make me really excited to do

and to be passionate about doing, and not doing motiveless, you know what I mean?

And them seeing that the comic, or the comics, work so well and

to see that there would be a big hype behind them, the characters,

Finally they decided to give me the OK, and here we are.

Being such a big project, I needed to be sure

that it would be something high quality, and not only for

cash, or for using my name and my image

Or whatever, you know what I mean, but finally talking and stuff

We realised we were very similar and

we wanted the same thing. Something of quality that was the best, basically.

And so you understand how important this is for me

and for all the people who are involved in this project,

you know, this is the first anime made in the history of

of Spain, like...

It's a really big responsibility on us.

And, as most of you know, anime is something that

was born in Japan, it's Japanese and some of you may been asking

"But, but Rubius! How can you call this an anime, if if..."

it's not made in Japan!?" But the good thing in all this is that we are working hand in hand

with a studio that has done

animations for loads of

Japanese anime, so,I think it can be

considered an anime. You know in Spain, we are working with quite a big team

from a studio in Barcelona, OK

and there they are dedicated to making all the designs

of the characters and the scenes

The object design...

and the special effects and stuff, all this

work we sent to the outside studio, OK

and they are in charge of doing the animation and stuff

and from time to time they come to Spain and

I have a video, OK, it's like a Making Of, you'll understand a little

of the work process and all that goes on behind

This is all for you to see

what's cooking behind the cameras, so, I hope you like it.

*soft edm music playing in background*

As you have seen, they are doing an incredible job

you know, many many hours and

many changes. God.

I can't show you much more

because the series, obviously, is in production, all you saw before,

It's a work in progress

Unfinished, OK, so

the series is planned to come out in

Summer 2018, maybe July or so.

Although you never know, because these things can have delays and stuff

for making it perfect, you know what I mean? So

be patient, OK, calm your tits, because this is going to take a little while

but you know I'm really happy to work

with people with so much talent and

to make something so beautiful because... at the end of the day

it's an animated series that

I still watch animated shows, you know what I mean? Since I was little I watched

on Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon

All the series, and I still see them from time to time

some things, besides anime, and

I know that art is something special and something that

stays in your head for the rest of your life if

it's something that's cool. So

I'm sure you have a lot more questions, OK, and I will tell you more things

as we go along, and on twitter

I will put things on, as we go along and stuff

The series is going to be similar to the comic

Obviously it's not going to be the same story, because we don't want to be repetitive,

but it's going to have the same characters

The characters have the best charisma, and oh man,

When you see it you're going to flip out. They have a connection, all the characters,

and it's like... But it's basically going to be a series with humour,

of entertainment, it's going to have a lot of references

to video games, references and parodies of animes

and films, a load of things

that are going to be super cool, OK. Mangel also is going to be in the anime, OK. That is like...

And obviously I know that there are going to be critics now

about, about this... I understand

you know, but wait at least until you see the series, OK?

to have opinions about it. You know there's no thing that's more scary to me than

that this goes wrong or some mistake happens

and, you know, we are doing our best

everybody, the whole team, it's a team of incredible people

we are trying hard to

make something super cute and super fun.

That's it... I don't know how to end this video, man.

I am making an anime, bro!

And, honestly, thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me in all that I do

you know, without all your support in the comics, this

this would not be here, this would never have happened in my life

So thank you, for being the best family on the internet

We are almost 26 million little creatures

You're the best, each and every one of you. Come here.

Come here and give me a kiss, give me a kiss. But yes, I am back home,

I will make more videos. I'm not going to leave on a trip

for a long time, because I want to stay at home

here making videos, I don't want to go to any other place, please, leave me in peace.

So, give a like if you are hyped for the anime

and see you very soon, cuties. A kiss.

Bye!

'tumbs up if you want the series to be premiere on my channel! :D'

Horrifying Things That Can Be Living Inside Us - Duration: 6:56.

You may have heard the urban legend that tells us a spider took advantage of an open wound

on a human and laid its eggs there.

Sometime later, this person became an incubator for scores of little 8-legged orphans.

We say orphans, because how on Earth could mother have kept tabs on her little ones.

This is in fact a myth, as spiders just can't lay eggs in human skin.

Your body is a breeding ground, though, make no mistake about that.

Mites live on our skin, bed down in our eyelashes, while microscopic bacteria make a home in

our intestines.

In fact, trillions of microbes live in and on us.

What's more unappealing is when the living things become the enemy, sometimes frighteningly

so, and that's what we'll talk about today, in this episode of the Infographics Show,

Horrifying things that can be living inside us.

Don't forget to subscribe and click the bell button so that you can be part of our

Notification Squad.

Perhaps one of the most commonly seen invasions of horrible living things in the human body

is the tapeworm.

Recent reports explain how a man in India had a 6.6 foot (2 meters) long tapeworm make

the man's gut its living quarters.

The worm was removed via the man's mouth in quite distressing fashion.

These things can grow up to 11.5 feet ( 3.5 meters) and can go unnoticed as they don't

always cause pain.

A report in 2012 showed Indian doctors removing one from a man's eye.

The larvae from the worms can get into undercooked meat and fish and this is how they get into

humans.

They could also live in human feces and then get onto the hands of humans if we don't

wash them properly after going to the toilet.

It's unusual they make it to a person's eyes, but if they get past there and reach

the brain then trouble will follow.

Tape worms aren't so bad if you've seen rather paunchy bot flies being removed from

a human body.

There's only one type that often chooses humans to lay its eggs and that is a kind

of tick named, Dermatobia hominis.

This parasite burrows into the skin and when removed looks like a maggot, only that maggot

can be as long as one inch (2.5 cm).

When they grow, you'll know about it as it gets uncomfortable.

As Wired magazine points out, they "rotate in their little burrows in your skin, and

this creates this sort of intense shooting periodic pain."

It's impressive how it happens.

The botfly grabs a flying mosquito in mid-flight and sticks its eggs to the underside of it.

When the mozzie finds you the larvae feel the warmth of your body and decide to make

a home there.

Watching what an infestation of these things looks like may put you off your bowl of rice.

It's fairly common, too, so you can watch the removal videos until your heart's content.

What about the tiny fish that tunnels into your penis when you take a leak in the river.

Well, this tale of Amazonian horror is more fact than fiction, even though European scientists

of yore published papers on this mysterious fish, called the candiru.

The story goes, it burrows into the urethra and then begins a campaign of causing you

absolute misery.

The problem is, even though tales abound in the Amazon about this fish, enough to exhort

local fisherman to tie up their baloney, an investigation by the BBC found only one case

had ever been officially reported.

According to the BBC, "After hours of surgery, urologist Dr Anoar Samad managed to extract

the fish, dragging its carcass back out through the unfortunate patient's penis."

Often regarded as one of the worst things that can happen to you is an invasion of what's

known as Screwworms.

The Screwworm fly looks for a place to lay its eggs and unfortunately a human being is

regarded as a workable host.

The problem is, the maggots have teeth and they burrow farther into you, sometimes right

into the nerve tissue.

If you annoy them, they keep on burrowing.

This can lead to intense pain or even death.

A British tourist came quite close after a trip to Peru.

When she arrived back to the UK, she heard scratching sounds in her head and started

getting shooting pains down her face.

After numerous trips to the doctor, it was found her ear was filled with these flesh-eating

bugs.

She had to have emergency surgery to remove what the surgeons called a "writhing mass

of maggots" that had begun chewing their way through her ear canal.

Had they been left alone, things would have gotten much worse.

Some journals explain the agony as being eaten alive from the inside as these horror-bugs

screw farther into you.

A disease you've probably all heard about is elephantiasis, wherein parts of the body

are grossly swollen.

You may not have known that the major cause of this is because of a parasite carried by

a mosquito that then enters a human.

These are called filarial worms, and they block the lymphatic vessels and cause a build-up

of fluid, which often affects the limbs and genital regions.

It's thought about 39 million people are affected globally by lymphatic filariasis,

which may or may not develop into people having oversized parts of the body.

There is no cure because the worms reproduce inside of you, although surgery can be successful.

Infections are most common in Africa, Central and South America, South Asia, and the Pacific

Islands.

The main thing is try not to get bitten, and if you do always make sure to clean your wounds.

A much more common infestation is that of scabies.

Just recently it was reported that everyone at a private jail in Nashville, Tennessee,

had to be treated for scabies.

That also included the staff.

Scabies is the result of scores of parasitic ticks burrowing into human skin.

They can be spread by people or by touching surfaces where they are waiting.

They'll make you itch like crazy, but the more you itch the worse it gets.

Anyone can be infected and it exists just about everywhere.

It may just end up looking like a graze on the skin, but the worse-case scenario would

be to develop what's known as Norwegian scabies.

Also known as crusted scabies, it is the result of a compromised immune system not attacking

the mites and hundreds of thousands of them living on you.

The result can be skin that turns into hard scales, making part of you look like a stone

man from Game of Thrones.

The next one may not be the most gross of infestations, but it's certainly one that

has driven people to utter despair.

These are called bird mites, critters that don't seem to be fully understood and provoke

a wide degree of speculation.

The bird mites usually live on birds, but occasionally make humans their host.

Cases have arisen when the mite's bird host has passed away and the tiny, not quite microscopic

mites, attempt to find a new place to live.

People sometimes refer to them as ticklers, as unlike some mites, they are big enough

to cause a tickling sensation when they run over your face or body.

Even when people have washed and bleached everything, fogged their houses, sometimes

even moved house, changed cars, bought all new clothes and bed sheets, they're still

there.

Forums reveal how people have breakdowns attempting to get rid of these things.

"I don't know how I can 'win' this war if I keep the mites to a minimum at home

but they are all over the work site area," said one person.

"There are days when it is all I can do not to break down and cry at work."

People have also talked about committing suicide on web forums because of these mites.

One of the worst things is that because people feel them running around on their body, but

they are incredibly difficult to see, they sometimes feel they have lost their minds.

At the same time other people tell them they must be suffering from a kind of bird mite

psychosis.

The feeling of insects crawling on the skin is also a well-known, sometimes LSD-induced,

tactile hallucination called delusional parasitosis.

There seems to be a lack of scientific evidence supporting prolonged infestations, which doesn't

help the case of sufferers' mental health.

In response to one bird bite host on a forum, a person replied, "You should talk to your

doctor about possible causes for your perceptions of biting sensations other than mites or insects."

Blue Promise: Can Texans Breathe Easy - Duration: 3:10.

DAN: Breathing. Sounds kind of easy but what you're breathing in could be dangerous.

Hello, I'm Dr. Dan McCoy, welcome to Blue Promise. I'm here today with Dr. Ruby Abrol,

a physician with the American Lung Association. Ruby tell me a little bit

about what Texans are breathing. Is American Lung Association concerned

about that?

RUBY: Yes, American Lung Association is concerned about the air in Texas.

Every year we put out a very comprehensive report known as The State

of the Air. This report is generated by our data scientists. What we've seen is that

four out of ten Americans, that's thirty eight point nine percent of our

population, live in an area with unsafe breathing here.

DAN: What are we breathing

that makes it unsafe?

RUBY: Particulate pollution is a very, very large concern

and then also large amounts of ozone.

DAN: Okay and so particulate pollution would

be coming from a plant that maybe is spewing it into the air. So what's

the American Lung Association do with that?

RUBY: Well we've actually identified our top

25 most polluted cities. Cities that have year-round high levels of ozone and

particulate matter we have four of our Texas cities on that list, including

Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth and San Antonio.

DAN: So if you live in these cities

though you have to breathe right so the individual citizens may be kind of

limited and what they do, are most of the measures that would be helped to help

the breathing in these areas related to public health measures that need to be

done?

RUBY: Absolutely. We're raising more awareness about vehicle emissions and

also the amount of air pollution that certain industries are putting out and

as well as tobacco. Cigarette smoke adds to the particulate pollution.

DAN: Yeah so

it's kind of gonna go there I don't think you can have a conversation with

the American Lung Association without talking about smoking so you may not be

able to necessarily have a direct impact on the particulate admission of

emissions that are occurring from a plant but you can stop smoking or avoid

smoking in your home. Tell me a little bit about the measures that the Lung

Association is doing for anti-smoking efforts in Texas.

Sixty percent of tobacco users want to quit but don't know how. So with the American Lung

we have some high caliber patient education and educational modules

available one of our our most gold standard tobacco cessation programs is

called Freedom From Smoking and if anyone has any questions about where how

they would learn to stop using tobacco we always recommend that they contact

their health care plan or they can speak with a respiratory therapist or

registered nurse at our toll-free lung helpline that's 1-800 LUNG USA.

Translational services are available for all major languages as well.

DAN: That's great.

So Ruby so it sounds like we can do some things to help the air that we breathe

and one of those is to quit smoking so thanks for being here today and thanks

for joining us for this episode of Blue Promise.

Motormouth: The Mazda CX-5 is perfect – But can it ride the storm? - Duration: 4:59.

Motormouth: The Mazda CX-5 is perfect – But can it ride the storm?

LOVE: I loved the new Mazda CX-5 for all the right reasons. I didn't want to be seen in it. Writing about cars has suddenly become a lot more difficult.

Should I really be praising an emissions monster that's slowly killing the planet? Or should I ignore the storm about petrol and diesel that seems to have erupted as quickly as turning on a light, even though everyone's known about it for years.

In Britain it'll be illegal to sell diesel and petrol-powered cars in 2040 and by then nobody will make them anyway, such will be the demand for hydrogen and electric cars.

China and India want to ban them even earlier, by 2030. Surely that embargo will be worldwide just 10 years later. Should you buy a CX-5 right now?.

SPEEDY: The speed of the CX-5 takes you by surprise.

Well if you need a huge 15ft long, 5ft 6in high vehicle, with a colossal boot that extends to six feet with the rear seats folded flat, along with four-wheel-drive, I'd say yes if you're that desperate for space and you actually do drive off road.

Mind you, if you keep it for long prepare for a shock when it's time to sell it. The CX-5 loaned to me was the worst of the lot as far as greens are concerned.

It was a diesel. Mazda make a 165hp petrol version and two diesels, with either 150 or 175hp.

Top speed of my car was 129mph so guess which engine it had? That's right, the 175hp animal with a massive 420Nm (311lb) of torque. No wonder it was so fast. The speed of the CX-5 takes you by surprise.

It's 0-62mph time of 90s might not sound quick but its mid-range pick-up is quite dramatic in a car of its size and makes overtaking a doddle.

It's wonderfully smooth, cruises at 80mph in what feels like silence and is beautifully kitted out with an extremely posh leather interior, soft-touch trim and black and silver dashboard instruments.

The seats themselves are so supportive and comfortable that you really think you're sitting in a private club once you've climbed aboard, while rear seat passengers get masses of legroom along with their own air-con vents.

I really loved the new CX-5, just as much as I did its predecessor, which it replaced last June.

Its combination of ride, space and smoothness along, of course, with its terrific high-up view of little people in their little cars is irresistible. That's because every time I drove it I worried that I was sending out all the wrong messages.

Were people looking at the car and thinking that the selfish git driving it was poisoning their air and, anyway, nobody needs a car that big? Well, as it's nowhere near the size of Godzillas like the Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne, Range Rover or Audi Q7 at least I wasn't expecting to be dragged out of the car and publicly lynched by Greenpeace members.

S. Korean Coast Guard can now use weapons against resisting vessels - Duration: 0:39.

The nation's maritime police will now be allowed to use weapons against illegal Chinese fishing

boats... if they appear ready to attack or if they resist seizure.

A revision to the law took effect today.

It's designed to enhance the Coast Guard's on-the-spot response capabilities against

Chinese boats that turn violent against local authorities in Korean waters.

Until now, the use of weapons were only allowed when Coast Guard vessels were actually under

attack.

The law also calls for sentences of up to a year in prison or a fine up up to 10 million

won -- about 88-hundred dollars -- for crews that refuse inspection without a legitimate

reason.

Can you spot why da Vinci painting is puzzling experts? | news 24h - Duration: 3:58.

Can YOU spot why this rare da Vinci painting is puzzling experts? Uncharacteristic mistake in greatest artist's $90m depiction of Christ has left art buffs scratching their heads

The last Leonardo da Vinci painting in private hands is expected to fetch a staggering £75million at auction - despite experts scratching their heads over one crucial error.

The Italian master painted Salvator Mundi (Saviour of the World) around 1500, the same period in which he created his masterpiece the Mona Lisa, and was sold for just £45 60 years ago.

It depicts Christ in Renaissance clothing holding a glass orb, but art buffs have pointed out that the object appears completely see-through, when in reality the light passing through it should appear distorted.

Scroll down for video .

Da Vincis biographer Walter Isaacson is among those questioning the whether the artist chose not to paint it that way, either because he thought it would be a distraction [.

] or because he was subtly trying to impart a miraculous quality to Christ and his orb.

According to the Guardian, Isaacson wrote: Solid glass or crystal, whether shaped like an orb or a lens, produces magnified, inverted, and reversed images.

Instead, Leonardo painted the orb as if it were a hollow glass bubble that does not refract or distort the light passing through it.

The painting was acquired by Sir Charles Robinson - attributed as a work by Leonardo's follower, Bernardino Luini - for the Cook Collection, at Doughty House in Richmond, south-west London.

The painting's authorship had been forgotten, and part of the depiction of Christ had been overpainted.

Sotheby's sold the painting, unaware of its true provenance, in 1958 for just £45.

An American businessman bought it 12 years ago at a small U.S.

auction house for less £7,500, and began to research its history.

In 2011 the work was confirmed as a genuine Leonardo and unveiled publicly - making it the first discovery of a painting by Da Vinci since 1909.

Christie's this week announced it would be selling Salvator Mundi next month in New York.

The auction house's Loic Gouzer said: 'Salvator Mundi is a painting of the most iconic figure in the world by the most important artist of all time.

'The opportunity to bring this masterpiece to the market is an honour that comes around once in a lifetime.

Why Can't I Handle an Auto Crash Claim Myself? - Duration: 0:44.

Many people come to us and are frustrated.

That they were not able to settle their simple car crash claim on their own.

They don't understand why the insurance company is being awfully nice on the telephone.

But is only giving them low, low offers.

Or, is giving them the runaround.

The answer is simple.

The insurance companies are not your friend.

They are in the business of making money.

Not paying it out.

And they will take advantage.

Of those people who don't understand how the system works.

And will only pay what's fair

once they're forced to do so.
