Youtube daily how Oct 18 2017

hi thanks for watching this video I want to show you today the basic chords of

the ukulele in about 10 minutes I'm gonna try to keep it in 10-minute range

I might go a little bit over and give you some bonus material at the end in

fact at the end I'm definitely gonna share some apps with you and some

websites that I think are really great but so before we get started real quick

I just want to talk about the tuning of the ukulele and my ukulele is standard

tuned okay so that we check just to make sure

GCE and a so we've got g c e and okay and one way you can kind of check that

just when you're here is this little - my dog has please and if you can do that

my dog has fleas then your ukulele is at least in tune with itself it may not

be in perfect tune but it's at least in - if you can do that then it sounds good

my dog has fleas if you're in tune with that and then your your ukuleles in -

okay so let's get to the chords so I'm going to start with the easiest chord I

think or or one of the easiest chords there's that some others that are

equally as easy but this one is a very commonly used chord it's the C major

chord okay so we turned this way baby okay so that's the third fret first

string and it sounds like this

and I play it with that third finger because you can also you switch to your

first finger first fret and that's a c7 so you got seen and c7 right hey moving

along we're gonna try to the next chord this is a little bit more

difficult chord to form but if you play guitar it's gonna be really really

easy for you because this is the D chord on the guitar is actually the G chord on

the ukulele so the way that looks is here I start with my bird finger on the

bottom string and that's the second fret let me change this I think that works

better actually so second fret bottom strength bird

finger pointer finger goes to the third string there I think and then you skip

that string and go to the third string and the middle finger there goes to the

middle string third fret okay so that's the same as a D on a guitar but that's a

G ukulele so now we've got seem pretty good like it right all right four

minutes we got to keep moving all right so we've got C G now let's do D alright

so we're in actually working in the G the key of G right now I'm teaching you

the key of G and the chords that go with it

so D is the next one and that's gonna be second fret second fret and the top

three strings on the second fret and then the bottom string is open now some

people try to do that with three fingers like that I can't do that my fingers are

too big so I either use that finger in a bar those first top three and I try to

leave the I bend my finger a little bit on looking to see that they're not I try

to bend my finger so that it's hitting the first top three and not the bottom

one but sometimes I mute that string hello

finger and that's okay all right so so far we've got see we've got B and we've

got bull T and with those three right there you can play I've met a lot of

songs I've made hundreds and hundreds of songs but let me throw another one in

for you real quick that is in that key of G song quite a bit there's a few more

but this was really important an E minor okay so the E minor is a three finger

chord and it's shaped kind of like a F on the guitar in a way except you start

on second fret first string second finger goes third fret second string

third finger goes fourth fret third string and that is an E minor so a lot

of times you'll have like a gene will transfer into an E minor then maybe see

songs you and you can write your own you can come up with your own stuff with

this so okay so all right so we got seat we got G we got D we got a minor those

are good chords you've got a solid foundation right there with us alright

let's try to add a few more to your repertoire though so you've already got

seen right so this is actually a different key we can start working on we

can work on the key of C so C we remember another chord that goes with C

is F so we've got C and F and F is like this it's your bird finger goes to the

second fret top string right your pointer finger skips this string and

goes to the third string first fret right there

that's enough okay

so now for the key of C you can play C

and G and then go real good together like that and any combination of you

know sometimes alright so anyway so there's two different keys you can kind

of play in the C key the key of C with C F and G the G key with G C D and E minor

very very tremendous amount of songs that you can play with it well this is

the e major chord for me what I do is I bar all four of those on the fourth fret

just like that bar

and that's how I play Annie it's kind of a cheating way it's a real real simple

easy way you just borrow all the strings and play them on for now this is like

bonus material stuff I wanted to give you just to add on to the what you've

got here because I want you when you walk away from this video I want you to

be able to pick it up and say hey you know I've got another four words that

from this guy that I can play some songs and you can all you got to do is use a

the ultimate guitar calm and they have all kinds of songs and stuff and I why

we're talking about it too I want to recommend a channel for you because this

is for brand-new basic just picked up a ukulele kind of people okay so if you

haven't found this website yet I want you to earth it's actually a YouTube

channel and a website but it's called ukulele Underground okay I want you to

go there this isn't there awesome they are

wonderful teachers they have really great videos teach you a ton of songs

I've got all kinds of played along songs and the fellow has a website with actual

courses that he teaches gets deep into it if you want to do that and he does

even a live classroom type of teaching on that channel such an amazing channel

and I'll put a link to it in the description but I'll also link somewhere

here in the video right now as I'm talking okay so go check out my buddy

over there ukulele underground I learned a lot of what I know because of you so

okay let's go on with a little bit more bonus material that I wanted to give you

here okay all right so another bonus quarter won't give you a seven

so it looks like this you start with your first finger on the first fret top

string second finger on the second fret second string and your third finger is

on the bottom string second fret and it sounds like this

p7 and that is a really cool chord but since some Nirvana songs there's one I

want to actually show you that it's in that I really like but I got to teach

you two more chords to be able with it this is a 3-quart song this is I'm going

to teach you a whole song both here in just a moment or two so the first chord

is B minor alright and that's an easy chord to play it so you bar the whole

second fret is the way I did it you don't have to get that top string though

because you're gonna hit that with your third finger top string and that'll be

the fourth fret so it's I just borrowed the whole second fret and then I catch

that top string on the 4th fret with my third finger so that's B minor I believe

that's a cool song sounding Cora - B minor

alright so now we've already learned to F which I showed you like this ok that's

it but you can also hold F like this with those fingers okay if you do that

then you can slide F down and that's an f-sharp right there

so I'm barring now the first fret and I'm playing the F chord

with these other two fingers here and here that's an F sharp and this song I'm

gonna warn you it's a good it's a good exercise song for your hand because it

will make your hand a little sore it still makes my mind getting sore I

already just just showing you so alright so we start with because these are it's

got two Barre chords in it and all through the song so we start with that B

minor

then we go to F sharp and then we do that East 7th that we started with

remember here here and here to the F sharp and that's a but that's how that

it just repeats like that that whole time and that's that's a whole song

right there okay last bonus thing I wanted to show you is a derivative of

the D chord okay so the D remember was the top three strings on second fret you

do it with the bird finger you can do it with the pointer finger you can do it D

seventh like that before I talk about all that with your other finger coming

back d sub1 should be minor it's a little different but if you play guitar

it's much like an E chord on a guitar so you start with the second from the

bottom that way your first finger first fret then your bird finger the way I'd

do it does that go top string second fret third finger goes that second from

the top string also second fret okay so that's kind of so we're holding this one

and then this one and this one on second one

is a last thing I wanted to do was just tell you about the apps that I've got

and I'm going to have these all listed in the description below but apps these

are in the Google Play Store I don't know if they're in for iPhone or not

they may or may not be if you know if they're on iPhone or not these apps let

us know in the comments below that would be super appreciated so the

the one I - my guitar with is easy ukulele so I'm not gonna go into a lot

of detail will because I want to keep it as short as I can and I'm very runway

over so this is what easy ukulele tuner looks like it's really easy to use as

the name suggests don't forget to to look at ultimate guitar tabs and chords

now this is mine this is their app so I've got a playlist right there that I

can go to and I've got like 50 songs safe and I got the ukulele chords to

them right there on my phone anytime I've got my phone in my ukulele with me

I got like 50 songs I'm going to play because I've been you know practicing

played somewhat at least attempted so that's a really good app

also ukulele on the grill I'm gonna have a link to their channel I'm gonna try to

put one up here somewhere and the link to their website and their YouTube

channel will be in the description so check them out to learn plate just a

tremendous amount of different songs that this guy teaches you how to play

absolutely free on YouTube so go check that out I think that's about it I'm

going to wrap it up I appreciate you watching please please subscribe and

share this video with friends that you think might want to learn to play

ukulele because I tell you what guys I think if everybody learned to play

ukulele the world would be a much happier place alright that's it for now

catch you later peace

How Sustaining Results of a Hair Transplant Depends Mostly on DHT Sensitivity - Duration: 7:14.

Thank you for your question.

You submitted your question without a photo and you're asking, how can you maintain

the results of your hair transplant as well as prevent further hair loss. You state further

that you don't want to take any medications because of the side-effects. And you're

asking if PRP and Acell every 6 months will help prevent any progressive loss.

Well, I can certainly share with you my perspective on your question and give you some understanding

or the conclusions I've drawn from my practice. A little bit of background, I'm a Board-certified

cosmetic surgeon and Fellowship-trained oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. I have

been in practice in Manhattan and Long Island for over 20 years. I am the founder of TrichoStem™

Hair Regeneration Centers. This is a system we developed using Acell and PRP more than

7 years ago during our hair transplant procedure. And we've developed, over the course of

time, protocols specific to a wide range of patients who we've been treating from around

the world. And so I think that there are certain relevant and important data points that will

help me understand further what your prognosis will be.

It's important to understand one simple principle: hair loss is progressive. So when

you talk about management of hair loss, you're essentially trying to slow down the progression

for as long as is possible. So when it comes to the strategy for male pattern hair loss

with using a drug like finasteride which is a DHT blocker, you are reducing the effect

of dihydrotestosterone or DHT on the hair follicles. Now that being said, there are

different levels of the individuals' DHT sensitivity. So the role of this drug can

be relevant in your case depending on that variable. I'll discuss that further.

In addition, when it comes to Acell and PRP, we've developed a system and we call our

company TrichoStem™ Hair Regeneration, we've developed a system that for the overwhelming

majority of patients, we've been able to achieve 5 years of stabilization, improvement

in coverage and lack of progression with our treatment. And basically, our protocol was

essentially one treatment. Now, moving the clock forward, we have been identifying certain

subgroups of patients. And essentially, the people who have the greater more aggressive

patterns require what I would feel is more of a combination therapy as well as possible

different schedules of the treatment with the Hair Regeneration plan.

Essentially, with the 5 years, it mostly is represented the people who had later onset

of hair loss which means hair loss in their 30s, generally in the mid to later 30s, moderate

rate of progression, meaning that the hair loss was relatively slow as opposed to very

fast, as well as a moderate degree of hair loss. Now that being said, there were many

patients who had more advanced hair loss who did extremely well with their treatment and

were able to do well for 5 years. But if someone is relatively young in terms of their age

of onset which means like in their teens to early 20s and has a more rapid rate of progression,

then those patients I designate as highly DHT-sensitive. And it is also my perception

that the number of growth cycles they would have are going to be fewer and shorter. So

in those situations, we change the protocol and we try to explore using a DHT blocker.

Now the protocol that you're describing, Acell and PRP, every 6 months, I can't really

comment on because I wouldn't know what you're clinical profile would be. I think that there

may be an opportunity to manage the rate of your progression with this protocol but I

don't know what the dosing is as well as what the process is so I can't say specifically

into your question whether or not it would make a difference that it would potentially

make from our experience with our protocol.

I think it's very important for you to understand that whatever your age is at, that this strategy,

especially if you had at least one transplant is to try to delay for as long as possible

your next transplant. So you may want to discuss with your doctor the use of a DHT blocker

as well as an understanding of what their expectation is with your clinical scenario

with this protocol of every 6 months. I can't comment on that protocol. I can only tell

you what our experience was with ours.

So I hope that was helpful, I wish you the best of luck and thank you for your question.

How to Choose the Right Canoe | Comparing Length, Width and Hull Shape - Duration: 3:21.

This episode of Paddle TV is brought to you by the ACA—improving the paddlesports

experience for over a century. Learn more at American canoe dot-org

Canoes come in a wide variety of shapes sizes and materials, and it's important

to choose the right one. Not only will it impact your enjoyment when you're on the

water, but having the right canoe can impact your safety on the water.

That being said, narrowing down your options is actually pretty easy and it

starts with identifying how and where you'll be using the canoe. Will you be

paddling on a wide open lake that's exposed to wind and waves, or will you be

sticking to ponds or small sheltered bodies of water? Will you be taking your

canoe into any type of current or rapids? With answers to these questions in mind,

now let's take a look at the major differences in canoes and how these

differences impact their performance characteristics. The first thing to

consider is the length of the canoe, and length affects the cargo capacity of the

canoe and how fast it canoe travels. In general, longer canoes are faster and

carry more weight than shorter canoes, but they are less maneuverable and more

difficult to carry or transport. For this reason, sixteen feet is a good general

all-purpose length for canoe, because it offers a good balance of speed, carrying

capacity, maneuverability and can be easily paddled tandem or solo. The width

of the canoe also has a real impact on its performance and safety. As a general

rule, the wider canoe is the more stable it is and the more carrying capacity it

has, but the slower it is, and so a wide canoe is a good choice for families,

while a narrow canoe is a good choice for confident paddlers who want to

travel quickly. Similar to width, another factor that affects a canoe stability is

the shape of the hull, and you'll typically find that a canoe has a flat

hull or a rounded hull. Flat hulls offer more stability but a round hull is

capable of traveling faster and handles current waves better.

Now something else to consider is the material a canoe is made of.

The different options will affect durability, weight, and cost. Of course, you need to

choose a canoe that fits your intended uses and your budget, and so we're not

going to get into the long list of pros and cons of each material. Your best

option is get advice from your local paddling shop or outdoor store.

Even better, many paddling shops have demo days or

demo boats so that you can try a canoe before you buy it. Once you've chosen

your canoe, it's time to pick a lifejacket which should be worn anytime

you're on the water. When choosing a lifejacket, I would highly recommend

getting a paddling specific one because they're designed to be comfortable while

you're actively paddling or resting. Well I hope you found this video helpful and

if you did, please subscribe to our Paddle TV YouTube channel because we've

got lots more tips and tricks coming your way.

Quilt Binding How to - Quilting Quicky | Whitney Sews - Duration: 6:37.

Hi everyone, welcome to the Quilt Binding Quilting Quicky with Whitney Sews. To start

measure the entire outer edge of your quilt after it has been squared up and add at least

10 inches for the corners and joining the ends. Divide that number by 40 to know how

many strips to cut. The width you decide on is up to you. Many people choose to use 2

¼ inches wide, but I prefer 2 ½ inches. Lay two strips as shown and using a ruler

mark from corner to corner. I like to double check that I marked the correct direction

before sewing. Add pins if needed then sew along the marked line. Cut the excess material

down to ¼ inch. Press the seam open and repeat until all your strips are joined.

Fold the long strip in half with the pretty sides on the outside and press with an iron.

There are several ways to bind a quilt and I'm going to show my favorite which I feel

is the easiest. With your quilt backing side up lay the binding with the raw edge lined

up with the quilt edge. You will want to leave about 6 inches of the binding unsewn at the

end to attach the other end to later. Sew along the edge with a ¼ inch seam allowance.

When you get ¼ inch from the corner stop and sew off the edge to the point. You will

then take the quilt out from under the presser foot and fold the binding back at a 45 degree

angle. Then back on itself so the fold is straight with the side of the edge you just

sewed and the unsewn part is going down along the next side. Start sewing along the new

side until you get to the next corner. Repeat for all four corners and sew until you around

about 10 inches from where you began to sew. Ok, so here we are at the sewing machine and

I'm going to go over all those steps again as I show them. I started about 6 inches from

the end of the binding. If you're newer at this feel free to leave a longer tail. Sew

down the side ¼ inch from the edge. When you get ¼ inch from the end sew off at an

angle to the corner. Pull the quilt out from under the presser foot and fold the binding

over at a 45 degree angle then fold it again so the fold is even with the side you just

sewed. Start sewing again at the fold and continue down the side until you reach the

next corner. As you can see I have about 12 inches left

unsewn and a tail of the binding on each end. Bring one end of the binding back around and

unfold it. Lay it on top of the area where the binding overlaps and trim of the excess.

This way the binding ends overlap the exact same amount as the width of your binding – 2.5

inches in my case. Join the binding ends the same way all the fabric strips were joined

together earlier to create the binding. I ALWAYS lay the two opened ends on each other

and pin and check to make sure I layed them the right way and there aren't any twists

before sewing. Once you know they are lined up right mark from corner to corner, pin,

and sew along the marked line. I ended up with my join right on top of a

seam already in my binding, but that happens sometimes and it's totally fine. Trim away

the excess seam allowance and press the seam flat then press the binding back in half.

The binding should lay flat now and fit perfectly in the unsewn space. Finish sewing it down

following the ¼ inch seam allowance like before.

Pull the folded edge of the binding around to the front, encasing the raw edges and batting

inside. For the corners bring the binding around down the side all the way to the end.

Then bring the next side over, it should make a nice mitered looking corner.

To finish off the binding simply top stitch along the folded edge to attach it down . Take

it slowly and adjust the binding as you go. Try to pull the binding around to the front

evenly as you sew or it will end up having a sort of twisted look to it. I will sew up

to the corners where the miter is making sure the needle is down in the binding on the side

I'm about to sew down then lift the presser foot, rotate the quilt, and sew down the next

side. And here is how the finished binding looks.

My stitching line is pretty far in on the backing and that is because I like to use

the 2 ½ inch binding instead of 2 ¼ inch and the quilt batting I used is very low loft.

So take those things into consideration when you are working on your quilt. Make sure to

like and share if this video was helpful and let me know in the comments what quilting

technique you want me to cover in another quilting quickly video. Until next time, Happy

Sewing!

How Tata Harper's Organic Moisturizer Is Made | How Stuff Is Made | Refinery29 - Duration: 3:15.

Diamonds are forever and so is your skin.

Natural products from the earth are always a win.

Welcome to Vermont,

home of apples and the organic products

of Tata Harper.

This is Tata's farm,

where 100% of the Tata Harper products

are formulated, batched, and filled.

Here "natural" means "farm-to-face."

Tata Harper founded her company in 2010.

She realized the lack of truly natural luxury products

in the marketplace and decided to use her farm

to source and create her own line of luxury

that didn't compromise one's health.

The first step in making

Tata Harper Illuminating Moisturizer

With Diamond Radiance starts out

in the earth

—the garden to be exact.

Many of the ingredients are grown on-site

to ensure quality and freshness.

These fresh herbs and botanicals

are then taken to a greenhouse to be dried out until

they're ready for the next step.

This drying process typically takes

between two to four days.

These ingredients will become what Tata Harper

calls the Estate Grown Beauty Complex,

a super concentrated multivitamin for your face

that is used in most of the Tata Harper products.

The next step is heating up water in a kettle.

The water is monitored to ensure that the

temperature does not exceed 75°C.

Then an oil blend is added to the kettle.

This blend includes the Estate Grown Beauty Complex,

which is made out of arnica, alfalfa,

meadowsweet, borage, and calendula.

After the oil blend, there are many high-performance

ingredients that are added.

First there's a powerful blend of moisturizers

including hyaluronic acid and mango butter,

which thicken the formula

and create a creamy texture.

Then local honey is added to moisturize the skin.

The essential oils are one of the important parts

of each and every Tata Harper recipe.

One of these magical oils that is used in

the Illuminating Moisturizer is rose otto.

Just one drop equals 50 roses.

Isn't that sweet?

Minerals including mica are also added to

give the formula a warm glow for the perfect

hint of tint.

And last but certainly not least,

real diamond particles for the ultimate radiance.

Once the formula is complete,

the large kettle is ready to fill 3,300 30 milliliter bottles.

Through the company's open lab program,

consumers can take the batch number found

on the bottom of each product,

input it on the company website,

and find out when their product was handcrafted

and by whom.

The last step of the process is placing

the bottles into beautiful green and yellow boxes.

Each box is then shipped fresh

straight from the farm to your face.

Thanks for watching how Illuminating Moisturizer is made.

✈️ How I became an Emirates Cabin Crew | Q&A #1 | 에미레이트 승무원 Q&A #1 | HeySillas ✈️ - Duration: 17:00.

Hey guys, it's me Sillas and welcome back to my channel.

So today, I'm gonna be doing a Q&A video a lot of you guys have been asking me questions about myself and my

Job, so I wanted to answer these for you a lot of them are quite similar

So I just put them together and generalized the questions

And I'm gonna try to answer them in the most informative way possible for you guys, so yeah, let's get started I

I Am 24 years old.

Was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and when I was about two

I moved to Sydney Australia and lived there until I was about 13, from 13 years old to

21 I lived in LA and then when I was 21 I moved to Dubai.

I Do try to go work out a couple of times a week whether it's the gym or go to yoga class

It's quite difficult though because during the time that I'm supposed to be awake. I'm sleeping. I just need to push myself because

Or else I'm just gonna be a big blob.

so I guess

Workout tip that I can give you is find something that you enjoy doing and be consistent.

So, I get this question quite a lot on almost every time I fly with a Korean

Colleague, they always ask me "are you more comfortable with english or korean?

Then I would kind of say that

I am more comfortable

I mean I'm comfortable with both to be honest

But when it comes to working or something where I have to be more professional

I would definitely prefer English I could express my feelings better rather than in Korean, but what it's

Conversational, Korean isn't a problem for me if you speak to me in Korean then I'll definitely answer back in Korean.

So yeah, I guess I don't really have a preference, but only when it comes to work.

I try to take care of my skin by moisturizing a lot, I have really dry skin

Actually my skin has changed over the two years that I've been here when I first joined

It was very dry and then it became oily and now I feel like it's dry again

I feel the dryness in my face

so I try to moisturize sometimes I use really thick moisturizer or

recently I've been using a oil.

I bought this one in Australia, let me show you guys. It's the trilogy

trilogy rose hip oil

Anyways, It looks like this and I think it's really good

I just need like a couple of drops

And I just like massage it into my face before I do my makeup and everything else

I don't feel the tightness around my eyes or like my cheek area as much as I did before.

During a long-haul flight

We usually get a CRC

Rest which means it's a crew rest compartment. That's where we get to pretty much sleep

on a long flight, but when I go to LA or Australia and we go into the CRC I

Always take off my makeup

There's never a time where I kept my makeup on before I want to sleep because after you wake up.

dry and oily and that's when I start to break out so before

Even if it's so annoying to take off your makeup when you're tired, and you want to just sleep one extra minute

I never keep it on I always take off my makeup with makeup wipes and then I put on my lotion, essence,

Moisturizer, eye cream and all that stuff.

Before the break ends, I wake up 15 minutes before and reapply everything

And sometimes I don't

And also after a fight I always try to

Put a sheet mask on, but I don't do it all the time I used to but I think I've gotten a little lazy

Fortunately, we do get our own rooms which are very very thankful about because I can't imagine like

Sharing a room with someone that I don't know and I think it's just quite uncomfortable. You can't really rest well and

Going to the bathroom , I think it's gonna be a big issue

There wasn't a specific hot new climate when I joined it was just an arm reach where it's

they put like a tape on a wall at

212 centimeters, and you have to like stretch out your arms and try to reach that line

but it has to be with your shoes off and

You can tiptoe as long as you reach that line. That's fine. I just checked on the website

It has a hundred sixty centimeter height requirement plus the arm reach

Pretty much, I wanted to get out of my comfort zone

I wanted to explore a new country a new city

And I wanted to feel uncomfortable for a bit like I wanted to be more aware of my surroundings

Because when I was in LA I think I was getting too comfortable where I was but besides that

I wanted to leave the u.s.. I just wanted to explore something new and

I wanted to travel the world. Emirates flies to so many

Destinations that a lot of the airlines in the US don't fly to, and they provide us with housing

Don't pay for any utilities like gas and water and they provide us with

transportation to and from work

How amazing is that?

I've been working with Emirates for two and a half years now almost two and a half years. I joined on June

4th

2015

So I think I'm very lucky because I applied once and

Pretty much got the job

After one try, I know a lot of people doing multiple times before they join, but I think I was just very lucky

I can't say that it was just all luck because I did really really really really really really work hard for it. I

I Think, I wouldn't say that it's not difficult because it is quite difficult

We had exams almost

Every day or every other day because we have training for about eight weeks and in those eight weeks four of the weeks is

safety and emergency procedures and then two weeks of

GMT which is medical which was the hardest part for me. Trying to memorize all the

medicines and signs and symptoms

Just couldn't process it in my brain. It was just so hard for me

But it was definitely doable. It's not impossible everyone does it and everyone passes or almost everyone passes

And if you don't need to get another chance

So it's not too bad, and then we have about a week of

Security and then that's where we learned how to restrain passengers and all that stuff.

Two weeks of Service training or maybe it's a week and a half. I don't know a week and a half to two weeks

It's service training the eight weeks each day seems so long, but after those eight weeks

It seems like you went by it just like that. It was so fast. It was long, but it was fast and

It was difficult, but it was definitely doable so nothing is impossible

you guys can definitely do it guys work hard for it then

Nothing's impossible

Like I said earlier I was born in the US and I was pretty much

Raised in Sydney and America so I grew up speaking English. I didn't really have to go to like

tutoring or anything for it.

I've had many jobs before I joined Emirates. I used to work in retail

as a sales associate, and I was a waitress back in high school and in college. I was working those two jobs together

while going to school and then I

Started working in an office at a mortgage company, and then I started working for fashion

I had another retail job just for a short time while I was preparing for this job

And I came here.

most of the jobs that I've had I worked for more than a year and a half each

So I send my open day in San Diego.

They didn't have one in LA at that time so I drove down with my mom

For the open day.

So the open day itself was really really long. I think mine started around 8:00 or 9:00 a.m.

And by the time I finished it was about 9:00 p.m.. They start off with the introduction

So the recruiter I had one recruiter

And she introduced herself and the company and she showed us videos about how?

Great the company is and things that they provide for us and then after that we would do a CV drop

so this is where you turn in your resume one by one and

While you're dropping in that resume you pretty much have like a minute or even less

Than one minute with the recruiter and in that short amount of time you have to make an impression. I walked up to her I

Said her name. I said hi

Judy

My name is sillas and here's my resume kind of thing and then she looked at my resume

And then she asked me a question related to my resume, and then I just answered and that was it

so it's a very quick interview like not even an interview. pretty much seeing how you talk how he walked how you smile and

How you present yourself and with that first impression,

that determines whether you make it to the next round or not.

We had about

450 to 500 people who came for the open day and only one recruiter, so after everyone finished

She said come back in like two hours after that she said that she was going to post the results on who made it on

The wall next to your name

There's gonna be a number and you're gonna be that number for the day pretty much

She posted the results and almost half or more than half of these people didn't make it just from that short

first impression

luckily

I was I made it so I was really really happy because it was one step closer to becoming a cabin crew

Something that I could always dreamed up, and then the first activity. It was a group assessment, and it was

She would hand out a picture on a card, and we were in groups of

Four I believe four was five.

She handed a picture of a card

and it was a picture of a city. different cities for different groups and

Within the group you had to discuss what you can do in this city.

during this time

She gave us about maybe five minutes. The recruiter will walk around and pretty much observe

She doesn't make any facial expression. She just walked around and you have no idea what the heck

She's thinking there was a lot of people that didn't make it from there. Maybe like more than half actually

And there we some people that really stood out I would say oh, she's gonna get the job for sure

But then this next part where we did the arm reach

She couldn't reach

so

It was like bye-bye from there. You don't even get a second chance. if you don't if you can't reach it

Then that's it.

Even if you did really well on the assessment and you made an impression. if you can't make that arm reach

Then you can't make it to the next round.

so the next activity was with a partner

She would give us a card and on the card was a picture of an object

so

With that object you have to discuss and share amongst yourself what you can use this object as, either than its actual purpose

if you guys know what I mean.

so for example

Mine was a shoe, a picture of a shoe. I had to think of another

Purpose that the shoe can hold. after the five minutes is up. We would have to present again, and I

Think this is where I made a really good impression with something very small

I'm gonna tell you guys later, so I made it, but my partner is gonna make it and I will tell you the reason why

in a little bit, but

Let's move on and then the last activity was a group assessment, and it was a scenario

So we had a scenario where a flight was overbooked and we had to choose. What kind of

Passenger we would choose. like whether it was elderly or young children or a honeymoon couple or something like that.

we had to explain why

to the recruiter

obviously, the answers that we gave probably wasn't even right

But there is no right answer and then after this she would eliminate more people and I think about from

400 to 500 people

About less than 20 people, maybe 18 people made it for the final interview. I think it was the first one

For the final interviews so I went the next morning dressed in the same outfit same hair

Makeup all that stuff final interview was about an hour long was supposed to be an hour long

but I think mine was about like an hour and 15 minutes and

during that time the

recruiter looks at your CV and ask you questions based on your CV I

Thought I messed up, and there was a time where i said " can I answer this again. I'm so sorry" and

At that time I was like so heartbroken because I felt like I made it so far, but I just messed up

but she said it was totally fine and give me another chance and

I'm here now.

So yeah, that was how my open day was. It was really long

I was very tired and my mom waited for me throughout the whole day

And I very very lucky that she was so supportive of it

So besides the obvious like looking the part like doing your hair your makeup

The way you dress and putting a smile on your face besides all of those obvious things

I think one of the most important thing is to refer the recruiter

As well as other people that you're in a discussion with, by their name.

another one is

Don't try to outshine everyone

But don't be a fly on the wall.

By this I mean, contribute to discussion, but don't

Try to show off too much, but also don't be so quiet and not say a word.

During the partner assessment

After my partner and I we discussed our

shoe

objectives or whatever

We stood up, and we didn't discuss who was gonna say something first

We just stood up and we both happened to say something at the same time.

We both kind of looked at each other

but I said to her "oh, I'm so sorry you can go ahead first" and

She went ahead, but the recruiter was like shaking her head while looking at me and wrote something down on the paper

I didn't think too much of it. When she put our names on the wall afterwards,

my name was on there but my partners name wasn't

so I think that really really helped me because she saw that I was able to

What's this word "yang bo"

"What's yang bo again?lol"

"why did i forget all of a sudden?"

Anyways that I was able to give up my opportunities to speak first

Rather than being selfish and trying to get all the attention

Anyways, thank you guys so much for watching this video. I hope I was able to answer most of your questions

If you guys made it this far you guys are amazing!

if you guys have any other questions write them down below

and then I will try to answer them in the comments for you or maybe I'll make a separate video so

yeah, I hope you guys have a wonderful day, and I'll see you guys next time.

How to ask patrons to support your artistry. - Duration: 4:34.

Hi, I'm Adrienne La Faye, and I'm an artist and author.

Today I would like to talk to you about becoming a patron

Now what that actually entails is that I've set up an

account at patreon.com

And what it is it's a vehicle for

Artists to be able to receive donations and help with all of their projects with any type of project they may have

I have to take time off from

Painting to dedicate myself to writing and it's been

The entire year actually that I haven't painted

So I need your help. I need your support

Now I know a lot of you out there are thinking well. I already have an extensive art collection

I've bought my share of art

and I really don't need anything else, but this is a really great opportunity for

everyone

Who would love to become a patron of the Arts.

I'm just asking you

to help support me. You can donate as little as one dollar a month or

Up to as much as you'd like it, and could be a one-time gift

Or it can be a monthly gift

the link to my patron account is, http:www.patreon.com/adriennelafaye

Patreon is spelled patreon.com

backslash

/Adriennelafayeart

And of course I'll have it

For you at the bottom of somewhere on the screen you'll be able to click on it and start your journey with me as my patron.

I need help with

my book

I've made a huge mistake in

Hiring

an editor

Who was already?

over booked and

She just could not dedicate enough time to my project, so I lost money

with that project, so now here I am

Pretty much starting over. I can say that

she edited

12 chapters and I have 6 left, so I'm gonna need some money. Just to help sustain my income.

And I think that's pretty much all I need to say.

Also, I'm going to tell you that we have I'm givin away rewards so there are different tiers of

rewards for

becoming a patron and

some of the tiers are

Basically one is a poster signed by me

of the two protagonists which

You have a choice of Malia or Micah

Also, they're different award's for example

Having access to excerpts of the book and also receiving a free copy of the book, and I'm also

Actually putting together a

Illustration book that's going be for sale and those books will be given away too.

Give to some some people for free depending on their actual

contribution to the project

So

It's pretty much all I have to say. I'm just hoping that you will see and

fill my spirit, and you know that I really need help and

besides I love what I do and I want to keep being able to do that and I want to also get back to my

community

By helping young people

follow their dreams

Thank you goodbye Adrienne La Faye

Materials required: A4 paper , glue, scale scissor

Fold the A4 paper int two half's and cut it

you need five pieces to make the star

all five pieces should be made to square pieces

please don't throw away the waste pieces that now i am tearing out. later on it is required, keep it aside.

Make a marking of 1 cm on both outside portion of the paper so all the five pieces align each other

for the ease of understanding i am marking a center line

now fold the paper and align the previously marked 1 cm with the centre line

cut the extra triangular shape paper projecting out and keep it aside as it is needed at the last steps

Now fold the paper to create an impression so that finally opening of the star is easy

apply glue on the appropriate sides of the paper..ie using fevicol or high grade glue is better

stick the glued sides clearly

already i have made few pieces and kept aside to reduce the length of the video

now mark a small dot 2 cm from the edge, which is used as a marking for cutting , so that all the pieces are equally cut.

cut the paper as you have marked

now cut the paper as we have marked

take the triangular piece that we have cut and kept aside

shape the triangular piece so that it can be used for sticking

How to Trade Bitcoin with Bollinger Bands (and other cryptocurrencies too) // trading strategy - Duration: 7:39.

How to Trade Bitcoin with Bollinger Bands (and other cryptocurrencies too) // trading strategy cryptocurrency tutorial technical analysis chart charts swing day ethereum litecoin ripple explained david moadel

welcome to looking at the markets with David Modell today I just wanted to show

you that you can use a lot of the same indicators that you use for stock

trading or commodities trading or whatever futures trading you can use

them for crypto currencies as well and I'm going to show you on a Bitcoin to US

dollar chart but you can really apply this equally well I would imagine to

other crypto currencies now to charts or I'm sorry to websites that I like to use

for free charting at least they're free right now our trading view calm and

stockcharts.com those are a couple of my favorites not the only ones out there

though all right so right now I have the Bollinger Bands up there and first of

all what our Bollinger Bands well I'm gonna use a little bit of information

from stock charts calm so thank you to them I want to give them credit

basically the middle band in the Bollinger Bands is the 20-day simple

moving average that's it so and this is a daily chart you can adjust this to you

know intraday charts 1 minute 2 minute 5 minute candles whatever you can you can

put it on four weekly charts monthly charts whatever you like

alright so the middle line the mid line on the Bollinger Bands is just the

20-day simple moving average alright so you take the last you know most recent

20 closing prices you know most recent 20 candlestick closing prices and just

add them up and divide by 20 and that's what this line represents pretty simple

all right and then the upper band is the 20-day simple moving average plus two

standard deviations above that and then the lower band is two standard

deviations below that that's all it is and these are the formulas if you really

want to know the exact formulas all right

so you know the midline that's the 20-day simple moving average and then

this upper band represents two standard deviations above that and then the lower

band represents two standard deviations below that all right so how do you get

that on this chart you would go to at least on tradingview you would go to

indicators and you'd go down to Bollinger Bands and you put that on

which I already did and then how do you adjust it you can go to the little gear

thing here format and it doesn't have to be 20 it could measure from more or

fewer you know as you can see it's expanding the arteries are getting wider

they're the bands okay and then you know this is like if you put on 40 days it's

much wider and so it's not going to give you as many signals if you use the

bottom band as a buy signal and the top band as a sell signal

you know you might buy it you might buy Bitcoin if you know the price if the

candle clearly closes below makes it clear break below the bottom band and

you know if it closes below it you can buy it and then wait until it closes

above the upper band to sell it and so you could have bought here and sold here

for a nice profit on Bitcoin all right now this is on this is very wide all

right you're not gonna get as many signals if you widen them out by

increasing the the number on the settings but it could run further though

if you like if you like fewer signals but bigger runs then maybe you could

wind them widen them alright if you want to click on the little gear there and

make them narrower the standard setting the default setting is 20 let's see what

that looks like again and that is here and as you can see it's not going to run

as much necessarily although it did okay here it actually closed in the in the

same place all right so you know you'll get more signals this way the tighter

you make them actually yeah you can also you know I'll just use this gear right

here it's easier the tighter you make them you'll get more signals but it

won't be able to run as much for example you would have you know

but maybe actually no you would have bought that this is on 10 you know you

might have bought on this clear break down here and then you would have sold

you know probably earlier probably here it broke clearly above here so you

wouldn't it wouldn't have run as far all right so 20 is fine

but if you like a longer run with fewer signals you can adjust accordingly I'll

put it back on 20 though just to show that one all right

once again all right there we go and that's a standard standard setting and

it works pretty well now with Bitcoin I do not recommend

using this as a short signal you know some people might say oh well you can

short it if it has a clear break above the upper band

okay well Bitcoin tends to go up very sharply in case you haven't noticed it

just goes up and up and up at least it has so far in the past year or a couple

of years at least so you can see a clear break above the upper band you can use

that as a as a sell signal because you know if let's say you've sold here and

it just kept going up well I mean it's no big deal

you would have missed out on a little bit of gains there but you still would

have profited quite nicely if you bought here and then sold here you know what's

the worst thing that can happen if you sell a little bit early all right you

would have missed out on a little bit of gains but you're not losing money by by

selling for a profit all right you're just losing you're leaving money on the

table but it's not the end of the world whereas if you're in the game of

shorting that's a dangerous game to play with with Bitcoin I don't recommend it

because look you see a clear break above here and if you say oh I'm going to

short sell it I'm gonna short it I'm gonna bet that it's going to go down and

it just went up and up and up and then sideways and then up alright and so you

would have been losing money losing money losing money again up here so you

know yeah it did go down afterwards but can you can you stand to lose this much

money can you tolerate it yeah well you know why even do that to yourself

alright so after a clear break above the upper band if you're thinking about

shorting it recommend it I just recommend only using

the bands with at least with Bitcoin only for long positions alright

and again this is not telling you what to do this is not advisement on how to

trade it's just an idea you have to make your own decisions with this all right

do your own due diligence find your own methods but this is one way to trade

Bitcoin at least you can swing trade it this way on the this is the daily chart

here but if you if you have different timeframes adjust accordingly

alright I hope you give you some good tips on trading bitcoin with Bollinger

Bands as well as other cryptocurrencies alright if you enjoy this video please

by all means give it a thumbs up on YouTube and you can contact me anytime

at David Modell at gmail.com thank you so much I really appreciate it and I'll

talk to you again soon

How to Deal with Airbnb Slow Season!!! - Duration: 4:49.

Hello my YouTube friends its Richard founder of short-term rental secrets

.com and Airbnb super host today's episode is how to deal with slow season

it's October that means it's neither summer nor

winter and if you have a vacation rental like I happen to have it's the slow

season and what to do about it here's a few additional things that you can think

about 1 try different platforms if you've only listed on Airbnb and you've

never done any other platform because you're so busy during your busy season

you can't handle multiple calendars guess what in your slow season you have

more time more energy more resources and you need more booking so it's a time to

experiment with home away with booking.com

with flip key go speak to some local property managers in your area again

you're trying to drum up revenue wherever you can find it's a great time

to experiment also a really good time to get super creative and what I mean by

that is even in seasonal communities there's things that are there year-round

institutions colleges universities businesses and that's the time to go in

and speak to their human resources to their faculty see if they have visiting

professors that come into town if they've got training seminars whatever

it is go and try knock on the door pound the pavement do the legwork and go find

out if they ever have any people and again it's not going to be something

that's gonna fill your calendar necessarily although it could but all

we're trying to do is get through the slow season and 2 3 4 bookings could

make all the difference in the world when there's more demand than there is

supply prices go up when there's more supply than demand prices go down so

during the busy season what you want to be is one of the last people to book

right you want to be able to sit with your calendar empty and open and be

uncomfortable when everyone else is just saying give me that one give me that one

give me that one and the reason is during busy season you want people to

book you last at the highest rate possible because the more that you make

the more profit the converse is exactly true during slow season you no longer

want to be the last to book now you want to be one of the first to book and the

way that you are going to accomplish that is by driving your prices down

earlier than everyone else and possibly lower now don't do it if it Sun economic

so to draw this out as an example let's say during the busy season you command

$200 a night and your competitors are fully booked

and they do 150 a night good that extra $50 is all profit for you now in the

slow season you don't want to go to a hundred and fifty or even a hundred

maybe you need to go to 75 or 60 there's a price that will clear the market even

if there's only four people coming to your town they need to stay somewhere

and so if you've got the great reviews and your super hosts and all these are

their wonderful reviews and you're priced right they're gonna book you

first try as best as you can to schedule all of your maintenance stuff during the

slow period that's when you have the painting done that's when you have the

new carpeting installed that's when you do the roof work you never want to do

things during your peak season and I think that might be kind of obvious but

since we're running a business and we're thinking forward let's just start to

plan that on our calendar every slow season is when we do our repairs and

maintenance and that's when we schedule the cleaning crew to come in and do all

of their stuff also we just did a video not too long ago where people were

asking about how to deal with friends and family and people that are asking to

stay at your Airbnb and I suggested that you let them stay there when it's

offseason when it's convenient for you so to the extent that you have people

and obligations and people that have asked this is a really good time when

you have zero revenue to say hey come use my house my cabin my beach house

whatever as long as it's still like nice they're gonna appreciate the offer and

if they turn it down it doesn't matter you've now generously offered your house

they turned it down recognize that your revenue and the way you report it on

taxes is annual so you might make ten thousand dollars during your peak period

ten thousand dollars and like say August and then zero and September and zero and

October just smooth all that out take a look at your annual revenue divide that

by twelve and that's how much money your revenue is generating and that's your

budget so make sure that you don't go out and spend aggressively or think that

that's income and then get really disappointed when you have zero the very

next month just smooth it out do it yourself keep your expenses within that

budget as well and that's that I'd love to hear your comments your suggestions

your feedback again we're a community here so the more that you engage with

one another both here the YouTube comments and over at our Facebook group

the more we can learn and the more ideas we have in the more revenue we put in

our pocket I hope you liked the video and if you haven't subscribed please do

so I think I've said this before in fact I know I have I'm trying to get to 5000

by our one-year anniversary and every subscription help so you can help me

you
