15 Not-So-Flattering Pics Of Kylie Jenner
If we think about one of the most stylish young stars out there, the name Kylie Jenner totally stands out.
She always seems to look good, right? Apparently, as Kylie tells it, she even posts selfies on Instagram and if they don't get enough likes by her fans, she totally deletes them and starts over. That's some social media selfie commitment.
It's safe to say that Kylie looks amazing pretty much all the time, whether she's dyed her hair a cool new color or is trying out a new personal style.
But like anyone else (and definitely like us, if we're being totally honest), the star has had moments when she has looked less than flattering, and honestly, that kind of makes us feel super relieved.
She's not perfect and, guess what, nobody's perfect. Not even a member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. Check out these 16 unflattering photos of Kylie Jenner.
1. Bronzed And Confused
It's impossible to look at this picture and think that it's Kylie Jenner. It doesn't look like her at all.
Why would we think that we would see her with super bronzed skin (so bronzed that it's basically gold) and plumped lips that look swollen and blue hair? We would never think that we would see her like this.
We honestly have zero clue why she looked like this and what was going on in her life at the time. Maybe this was part of a Halloween costume.
That would make us feel a whole lot better. Or maybe it was for another kind of theme party where she had to dress up.
But if those weren't the real reasons behind this confusing look, we're just going to have to say that we don't know what's going on.
2. Really Bad Hair, Lips Freshly Plumped
There's a bad hair day (which we all have every once in a while) and then there's this kind of hair.
Why does Kylie's hair look grey? And why is it so stringy? And why does it look like she hasn't washed it in months? Sorry but we need a moment. We're just way too puzzled.
But still pretty perplexed. This doesn't look like the greatest dye job ever since the top of Kylie's hair is black and the bottom is grey.
Why would someone dye their hair grey? Why would Kylie Jenner? We're just not convinced that this was a good idea on her part. But she might have regretted it because her hair looks much better these days.
3. Blurred Lines
What even is this photo? It's super blurry and we honestly have no idea why. Did someone take this photo way too fast so it looks like this? Or was this on purpose? We're so confused and we have so many questions.
Kylie's looking a little less than perfect for sure here. Her eyelids are all droopy (well, actually, one of her eyelids is dropping down lower than the other one for some random reason…).
And her lips look incredibly swollen. She just looks like she's having a really rough time. It's not the way that we usually see the star. If we didn't know that this was actually, we might not have even recognized her….
and that's really saying something since her usual signature hairstyle and outfits are pretty well documented at this point.
4. One Eye Closed
Okay, this is just not a good photo. It's pretty horrible, and we're absolutely certain that Kylie herself would be the first say so. What is even going on here? Why is it this weird and this bad?.
Why is one of her eyes closed and why does she have such a strange expression on her face? Why is her hair green? Yeah, we get that Kylie Jenner loves to dye her hair random colors and it seems like every day she's got a new hair color, but… this green is really bad.
Or is it blue? We can't even tell. It's just such a terrible color. We're also not sure why Kylie's mouth is open like that. Maybe we should just learn to live with the mystery of this photo and move on.
5. Black And Blue Hair
This is not what you want your hair to look like when you've decided to dye it blue. Dying your hair blue is one thing and having it be both black and blue at the same time is just a bad look.
This hairstyle would honestly look really unflattering on anyone and that goes for both stars and regular human beings. We think that Kylie should have chosen to dye her hair blue or black. She shouldn't have gone for both.
It's just not flattering. She also isn't wearing any makeup and so pairing the lack of makeup and that hair with a black leather jacket just makes the entire look really messy.
And we're not using to seeing Kylie Jenner look messy. Nope.
6. Wasted Or What?
We're not ones to throw shade and we don't want to say that Kylie is a bit wasted in this photo, but… well… what else are we really supposed to think?! She does look like she's enjoyed a few too many cocktails and like she's having trouble keeping her eyes open.
Because, well, she's literally closing her eyes. We're also not big on her super long nails. They look more like claws than nails.
It's just a strange experience to see a Kardashian-Jenner looking anything less than totally, completely, 100 percent perfect. It's just not something that we ever see or expected to see.
But now it's happening. And it feels like something is off. Maybe Mercury is in retrograde or something?! Yeah, that's totally what is going on here.
7. Two-Toned Chest
Let's just talk about what everyone wants to talk about when they see this photo: why is Kylie's chest a totally different shade from the rest of her skin?!.
This must have been the result of a tanning bed session gone wrong. Or maybe she used self-tanner and used different shades for her chest and the rest of her body.
We honestly can't imagine her ever doing that, but, well, the proof is in the picture. And the picture is showing us that this is what really went down.
It's a head-scratcher for sure. Let this be a lesson to us all that sometimes, tans go seriously wrong. We just don't get why she would have shown off so much cleavage, though, given this situation.
8. Plumped Pucker
What's with all the blurry photos? Do people taking photos of Kylie just randomly put a camera in her face and wave it around so the pictures come out blurry? We still have so many questions about this….
Kylie just doesn't look like herself here and that's why it's part of this collection of unflattering photos. First of all, her hair is blonde. Blonde. That's just not what we think when we think of Kylie Jenner.
Sure, we're used to her changing up her hair color all the time and doing crazy things like dying it blue or green or whatever else, but we're not used to seeing her as a blonde.
We definitely think of her as having brown or black hair. Another issue with this photo, of course, is how plumped and big her lips look. Did something go wrong?!.
9. Unwashed Hair
So… even Kylie Jenner goes out with unwashed hair sometimes. And throws it up into a bun that makes her dirty hair look even more obvious. And has unflattering photos taken where her neck and chin don't look that good.
She is all of us in this photo. We've all been there.
Okay, so maybe we've never had paparazzi take pictures of us… and follow us around… and sell our photos for tons of money. Okay, so we don't have that much in common.
But we do get tagged in the old Facebook photo from a party where we think, "Is that really what I look like? How did I ever leave the house like that? How did I ever think that I ever looked cute?" We get it.
10. Gym Goer
Look, let's just get one thing straight: we all look like this when we go to the gym.
Well, this is what we look like when we don't put any effort into it and don't wear our best leggings and just throw on whatever old sweatshirt seems like it's kind of clean. We're not ragging on Kylie Jenner here.
Because we all have those days when we don't really want to work out (but do we ever want to work out?!) and so the only way that we can get our butts into the gym is by throwing on sweats.
It's just how we do things. We're actually glad that Kylie looks less than perfect when she breaks a sweat. It makes us feel much better about our own lives.
11. The Weirdest Makeup Ever
Why does Kylie's face look so totally weird? Is she wearing… tape? Yeah, she's definitely wearing tape on one side of her face. And she's waering a ton of foundation that is giving her face a pink glow.
Or maybe she had a facial peel or something that has left her skin super pink. Something is going on here and it's not really all that good. It's just very strange.
We're used to seeing Kylie Jenner with the best makeup ever. After all, she's created her own makeup empire, and on her show Life of Kylie, she often talks about her love for makeup and the beauty industry.
We would never have thought that we would see her looking like this. And, let's just be real here, silver eyeshadow isn't really that flattering on anyone.
12. Unflattering For Sure
This doesn't even look like Kylie Jenner. This was definitely taken during her (sorry but we have to say it) awkward pre-teen years.
We love Kylie and Kendall Jenner and we obviously love their whole fam but this was just a fact of life.
There are a lot of photos of them around that time where they just look much more awkward than they do today.
We've all had a lot of photos taken of us where, years later, we would seriously look at them and go, "What?! Is that really us? No, it can't be.
No, really? That's us?" Even if we don't want to admit that, we know deep down that it's the complete and honest truth. That must be how Kylie feels when she sees this photo.
See? We have more in common with the star than we ever thought.
13. No Makeup, Messy Hair
Wait… is that Kylie Jenner?! Really?! We honestly can't even recognize the star. She looks so different in this photo.
This is a picture of a much younger Kylie, and back in the day, aka just a few short years ago, she wasn't as glam and put together as she is today.
We're pretty sure that even Kylie herself would say that this is an unflattering photo. Okay, we 100 percent know that she would, considering the fact that she says that she deletes photos without a ton of likes or with negative comments.
She might not want us to even look at this photo, let alone talk about it. Oops.
Sorry, Kylie, but if it makes you feel any better, we all go out without makeup and with our hair in a messy top bun sometimes (and we look like this when hanging out at home all the time basically).
14. Super Top Bun
This bun is… extra. It's just way too much. We know that Kylie was really young here and so we don't want to be too hard to her.
We knew that we all make fashion and hair choices when we were that age that we would never make these days. We're so much wiser now… well, at least when it comes to fashion and hair. Maybe not about anything else.
We're pretty confident that today, if Kylie took even a quick glance at this photo, she would think that her bun was way too high. There's a high bun… and then there's this particular hairstyle.
It just looks like it's literally sitting on top of her head and it's not great. She's also wearing too much eyeliner, but again, we're not here to rag on her. We get that she was super young here.
15. Bare-Faced
Look, we've all worn kind of embarrassing band t-shirts or just t-shirts in general. These fashion moments mostly happened back when we were in high school, which makes since Kylie was probably a teenager when this picture was snapped.
It's not like the shirt is that bad, really — it's just a typical two-toned long sleeved top. The problem is that Kylie never wears anything even remotely like this now.
She's more into beige or black clothing (she and Kim K are both really into neutrals) and she always looks much more fabulous and glamorous than this.
We don't think that she even wants to remember her less than fashion-forward days. We're pretty sure that she doesn't want to, actually. We would place bets on it.
16. Weird Hair
Sorry but it totally has to be said: Kylie's hair looks weird here. It's like she tried to put her hair up in a bun or high ponytail… and it just didn't work out.
We know why this is happening. Her hair is at that awkward in-between stage where it's too short to put up into an actual ponytail… but it's so frustrating because that's all that you want to do. Yup.
But Kylie's hair is just way too messy in this picture and that's why we have to say that it's fairly unflattering. We think that she would agree with us.
But at least we know one very amazing and important thing: even Kylie Jenner has bad hair days.
