Jurgen Klopp can end Man City dominance and win Champions League, says Lothar Matthaus

Former Germany captain Lothar Matthaus believes Jurgen Klopp can end Manchester City's stranglehold on silverware in much the same way he did when Borussia Dortmund broke Bayern Munich's dominance.

Liverpool's last trophy was the league cup in 2012, while their wait for a championship title stretches back 28 years, but Klopp has a history of succeeding against more powerful, wealthy opponents having won back-to-back Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012.

The first opportunity will come in the forthcoming Champions League quarter-final against City, who have already won the League Cup and are Premier League champions in waiting, but the task will be even greater next season.

Not only will Klopp's target be to catch and surpass Pep Guardiola's side but also stave off competition from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea – both of whom traditionally have bigger transfer spends – and Tottenham.

However, Matthaus believes Klopp proved his methods have worked before and can do so again.

"Maybe City has more money but I know the mentality of Klopp, I know the mentality of his team.

They work very hard," said the former Bayern midfielder after the 5-5 draw in the Legends match at Anfield which is set to raise more than £1million for the LFC Foundation, Liverpool's official charity.

"Liverpool has the mentality and an atmosphere in the ground that is similar to Dortmund.

He is a powerful coach.

He can get people to take to him – the players and the fans.

"He has to find one or two more players, especially in the defence to be better in the competition.

"Like Guardiola in his first season he had a very good offence then he invested a lot of money in the defence, and you see the difference now – they are 15 or 16 points ahead of Man United.

That is a lot.

"That is the reason he (Guardiola) bought many players in the defence, they are much better now.

"City are maybe one step higher than all the other teams in England at the moment but for sure other teams will invest and find the right players.

"I know Jurgen Klopp knows exactly which player he needs.

Some people were shaking their heads at £75m for a defender (Virgil van Dijk) but this £75m at the end shows the defence is a lot better.

"He didn't change his style too much.

He is working very hard, his team is always ready to fight for 90 minutes, they are in good condition, he works very hard.

"He finds the right players, especially in the offence, who can make the difference on the highest level.

Liverpool have the chance to prove their victory over City in January – their only Premier League defeat so far – was not a one-off as the pair meet in the Champions League quarter-finals early next month.

Even though they go into the tie behind City in the betting stakes Matthaus believes Klopp's side have every chance of winning a sixth European Cup.

"Liverpool is not afraid to play against Manchester City.

They showed weeks ago how you can win against Manchester City," he added.

"They have a good offence, they work better in the defence and this is the key to win titles.

"He has done a very good job.

I was believing from the beginning that he and Liverpool have a very good relationship.

"You can see that in the good results, the good games and he has bought the right players.

"For me it is a team that can win the Champions League in two months in Kiev.

I want to get a motorcycle license and I wonder if it's doable

Alright hey guys, so it's been a couple days ever since I visited the Kawasaki dealership, and I'm gonna head back there again

And I'm gonna be seeing what kind of deal I can get on a couple bikes that I've been interested in

But it's been a it's been a long time of research

And I've I've been pretty excited about it, and I have no idea yet what I'm gonna end up with but hopefully something pretty good

information on her private email server.

And the Department of Justice now believes it has sufficiently strong evidence to actually

prosecute the presidential runner-up.

Otherwise, why offer Hillary a plea bargain?

You only do that when you've got strong enough evidence to convict someone, but are

trying to avoid such a drastic outcome.

According to reports, the deal requires Hillary to publicly admit to her crimes, and in return

the DOJ will drop all investigations against her, including her shady dealings under the

Clinton Foundation.

Now, her taking the deal would almost certainly mean Hillary could never be president.

But she'd essentially get off scot-free.

That's probably the stupidest preconception.

It depends on the person.

I can only speak of paraplegics

I know. Residual sexual functions differ

from person to person.

But many still have enough.

Otherwise, you've still got..

Wheelchairs usually have good seats.

You always get a seat!

Switzerland is not at all disabled-friendly.

If I want to go by train,

I have to call exactly one hour ahead.

The other day I called 57 minutes before the train left

and the woman gave me a hard time.

I just thought, "Hey mother,

give us better access to trains,

then I'll never have to call you!"

I don't like calling!

In Zurich you can only

get into every third tram.

In Basel trams are wheelchair accessible,

but the stations are not adapted for wheelchairs.

And maybe 80% of disabled toilets

have pedal opening

rubbish bins.

How dumb is that!

I don't think disabled people are jealous

of healthy people.

When fate deals you a hard blow,

you have to come to terms with your life.

Then you pity many healthy people

when they sweat over small stuff,

because you've worked out

how beautiful life can be.

What's a Feltie and What Can I Do With It? | 18 In the Hoop Machine Embroidery Projects - Duration: 5:28.

Hey everybody! Have you ever seen or heard about felties and wondered what

they are and what they're used for? Well, you've come to the right place. So, what's

a feltie? A feltie is a small felt shape usually made of felt and has embroidered

details. It has a plain felt backing. The entire feltie is made with an embroidery

machine. You can use acrylic felt, wool blend felt, even marine vinyl or glitter

canvas. Usually tearaway stabilizer is used unless the design has a lot of

stitches such as this one. Felties come in a variety of shapes and designs

and themes: holidays, animals, food, messages, travel, occupations, sports, and

countless others. Felties are a great beginner project, even for kids who can

safely use an embroidery machine. They're easy and inexpensive to make. Craft

projects using feltie are a fun activity for kids, even teens, in my

experience. So, what can you use them for? While their uses are limited only by

your imagination, I'll show you examples to get you started. One popular use of

felties is for bookmarks. You can see here I attached one on either side of a

piece of ribbon. This bookmark uses fold over elastic. These two use paper clips.

This one is a larger paper clip which gets glued onto the back, and this is a

smaller paper clip. You can use these paper clip sliders which are available

from AKA Applique's Facebook group, or you can just cut a slit in the back of the

feltie, put the end of the paper clip into it, and glue it in place. For these

two, I added ribbon to make a zipper pull and a bookmark. Felties are very

popular as hair clips. You can glue them to a partially lined alligator clip, a

snap clip,

a plastic barrette, or one of these metal French barrettes. And this has an

alligator clip with teeth and a bar pin all in one. In addition to hair clips, you

can use felties as a bow center, or add a little piece of felt

onto the back to glue a ponytail band in place. Felties also make great

embellishments for headbands. This one is glued onto a slider from

AKA Applique and placed onto a plastic headband. And it's removable! Here's a

stretchy headband using fold over elastic. You can also use this as a

bookmark. These peanut butter and jelly felties would make great shoe clips.

Here's a little fish with ribbon attached so you can put it on your

zipper.

Here's a little seahorse on a piece of fold over elastic that makes a bracelet.

These make great party favors. This little cactus made of glitter canvas has

a bar pin on the back. If you have to wear an ID badge for work,

spice it up with a feltie! Make a pencil topper with a feltie using a

scrap of felt that's glued to the back to create a pocket for the pencil. This

feltie is adorable. You add a little pom-pom to it with some glue and put a

magnet on the back and have a festive decoration for your fridge. Here is a

feltie with a push pin on the back so you can decorate your bulletin board. You can

even use felties to decorate your table. I made this napkin ring out of one

and a half inch wide grosgrain ribbon and glued the feltie in place. If your kids

like tic-tac-toe, you can use felties as game pieces. Just make six of each

color. You can even mix and match different styles. Here's a chore chart.

Each child chooses a feltie design. Back it with a magnet ,and you can place this on

your fridge. Whatever chore the child is assigned, you put their feltie right

over it. You can add things such as ribbon and elastic to felties right

in the hoop. For this one, I did the placement stitch, then taped the elastic

ends in place, stitched the rest of the feltie, and then added the felt to the

back. It's now a headband or bookmark. When deciding whether to use felt or

vinyl for your felties, consider the item's end use. For something such as this

badge clip, it's going to receive a lot of daily wear. So, the vinyl was a good

choice for this design because felt can often get worn out and pilly. This

magnet is going to live on a refrigerator, so it's not going to see a

lot of wear. So, acrylic felt is just fine for this application. Same for this

napkin ring. It's only going to be used once or twice a year. For this headband, I

liked the look of felt, but I needed something more durable since it's going

to be worn by a child. So, I used a wool blend felt, which is more durable.

What Can You Do About Anxiety? - Two Minute Message - Duration: 1:45.

- Hey, everybody, Daniel Fusco here.

Welcome to today's two minute message.

So, all of us have some generalized anxiety about life.

I'm not talking about the clinical diagnosis of anxiety.

I'm talking about just our fears about the future,

about tomorrow, and how do we deal with that.

Now, listen, these feelings of generalized,

non-clinical anxiety are common to everybody.

The Bible actually says

that we should be anxious for nothing,

but in everything with prayer and supplication,

with thanksgiving, we should let our requests be made known

to God, and the peace of God,

which surpasses all understanding,

will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

That's Philippians 4:6 and 7.

So, really what it says is that any time we're anxious,

there's something else we should do,

that we should praise God, should give him thanks,

and we should ask God to do a work in the midst

of the things that make us nervous.

Now, think about that.

So, instead of being anxious, God is reminding us to pray.

And when we pray, as we connect with that,

prayer is not getting our will done in heaven.

Prayer is linking up hands with God

to get his will done on earth.

When we pray, God's peace,

his universal wellness, and flourishing, and well-being,

starts to guard our hearts and minds.

So every time we feel anxious or worry,

it's an invitation from God that his peace may reign

in our hearts and minds, so we need to move

from anxiety to prayer, and then that prayer

should move us into God's peace.

How powerful is that?

Now listen, this is what I want you to do.

First, I want you share this video,

because everybody we know is struggling

with these fears and anxieties,

in a general sense, about what's gonna happen

or how these things are gonna work out.

And then, in the comment section,

let's talk about the way God answers our prayers.

All of us have praise reports

of ways that God has answered our prayers,

and oftentimes we don't ever tell people,

hey, this is what I was praying about,

and this is what God did, and how cool is that.

And we wanna be able to praise God

for the reality of Philippians 4:6 and 7 being used

in all of our lives.
