[YTP] Michael gets kicked out of the car - Duration: 0:53.

The Outing.

Right you two. This is a long journey, I'm driving,

and I can't breathe properly if you two are flicking plasticine. Do you understand?

So we go "Okay, Mum, okay. Don't worry about it!"

And off we go to school prison.

And then we start flicking the bits of plasticine at my Mum.

Mum tries to be exciting.

"Look out the window! There's nothing."

And then we go on flicking the bits of plasticine

And my Mum tries to be exiting again.

"Look out the window! There's a Skyfoogle!"

"Right! I'm stopping the car! I am stopping the car!"

Oh no.

She stops the car.

"Out! I'm gonna put you out the car, and leave you by the side of the road!"

Oh no! This is horrible!

Dodge Demon - Commuting in an 840hp Muscle Car | The New Car Show - Duration: 5:53.

- Look at me dad.

I'm driving new cars and talking about them on the internet.

It's The New Car Show.

(electronic music)

For the past ten days I have been driving around

in the craziest car that my sweet butt has ever been in.

It has 840 horse power.

It runs 9's in the quarter mile,

and it comes with a freaking crate.

It's the Dodge Demon.

The most powerful factory muscle car ever built.

(roaring)

And most importantly, the only

production car that does wheelies.

It's not a freaking BMX bike, it's a car.

A big car.

What do you do to make a big car look mean as hell?

You make it bigger.

Every single proportion on the Demon has been swolled up.

- Pump you up.

- The hood scoop is huge and functional.

The flares make it look like a buff lion.

And they're necessary, because it has bespoke 315s

on all four corners.

Semi-slicks.

They extended the hood so it covers the top of its eyes.

Looks like a mean Robert De Niro.

I have nipples, Faulker, can you milk me?

- Oh yeah, you can milk anything with nipples.

- And the only Demon badging on the whole car

is these little hits on the front wings.

Tasteful.

I assure you though, that this is the

only place that Dodge showed restraint.

(upbeat music)

Driving around town in the Demon is weird, to be honest.

You've got these really comfy seats, you've got A/C,

but at any time you can do a burnout if you wanted.

Like, at any time.

(engine revving)

Funny.

It's got so much power you guys.

(engine revving)

You get so frustrated and annoyed

at everyone in front of you.

You are literally constantly looking for an open stretch

of road so you can floor it.

Go!

(honking horn)

(groaning)

Oh my God!

It's like having a bunch of fireworks and you're walking

around your house trying to find a

lighter and you're just like ugh!

It's gonna be loud, it's gonna be cool.

Traffic is always boring, but in this car it's depressing.

I just wanna drive my Demon fast!

The whole world is against me.

It's a mix of adrenaline and trepidation.

The best analogy I can think of is that

it feels exactly like being at a gun range.

The Demon is not a toy.

It's always loaded.

You never point the Demon at anybody.

(gun shot)

When you get out of the car, you're literally shaking,

and that's not just me, that's

everyone who drove it or rode in it.

And people giggle constantly in it.

(giggling)

It's like an 840 horse power tickle factory.

It does 0 to 60 in 2.3 seconds.

I promise I didn't do any illegal stuff...

This is also one of the best sounding cars

I have ever heard in my life, it sounds so good.

(engine revving)

It makes noise in three stages.

Engine noise.

(engine revving)

Super charger line.

(engine revving)

Devil roar.

(engine roar)

It is a factory car that sets off

car alarms, and it's great in tunnels.

(engine echo in tunnel)

(laughing)

I know people say "aw, it's a real heard turner" a lot.

I think that's a very over-used phrase.

This car turns heads.

As I said before, this is a very big car.

It's 16 feet long, it feels 60 feet long,

and you're not like sitting real low, you're up, big.

And when you floor it the front end lifts off the ground.

You feel like you're in a kayak and a big wave just hits you

and you're just along for the ride.

(waves crashing)

Except you look way cooler than someone in a kayak.

I broke traction going the legal speed limit of 55.

The Demon also comes with a crate

full of stuff that you can add on to it.

It has skinny wheels, and all the snap-on

tools you need to put them on.

It costs a dollar.

Check out our unboxing video and I'll go into deeper depth.

The coolest thing is that this car costs 85 grand.

And when you're driving around, you look at any other car

and you're like "yo, I could beat you in a drag race."

I see Mustangs pass me, even a Lamborghini passed me

and I'm like "oh, that's cute."

Because I know that if we were at a stop light

next to each other, and he dropped the hammer,

I would (censor beeps) destroy him.

It's American iron.

The interior was made for an American.

This car is built for guys who love steaks and bratwurst.

It's like driving a La-Z-Boy that'll rip your face off.

It's big, it's fast, and when it gets pissed off,

it pins you down in your chair and

yells at you, just like my dad.

It is the Millennium Falcon of cars, making me Han Solo.

(dramatic music)

This thing isn't for everybody.

It's a terrifying car.

(screaming)

Good thing the breaks are good.

The Dodge Demon is the craziest car I've ever driven.

It's loud as hell, it's fast as

(censor beep) and it doesn't beat you up.

If you wanted to, you could totally daily this thing.

You'd spend a ton of time looking for parking

and you would buy a lot of gas, but you could totally do it.

This car is absurd, but that's exactly why it's awesome.

Hell yeah we want a Demon!

(engine revving)

10 Great Safety Features Found In Modern Cars - Duration: 8:48.

1.

Forward Collision Warning with Auto-Braking Forward collision warning with auto-braking

systems are an amazing addition to the safety features found on cars today.

The system uses cameras, lasers, and/or radar to detect vehicles ahead and alert the driver

if they are closing in too fast.

An audible alert or vibration in the steering wheel is used to get the driver's attention.

If the vehicle passes a certain threshold, the system will automatically apply the brakes

in an effort to prevent a crash.

The system helps not only to prevent a crash, but also lessen the impact of a crash that

does happen, since the computer can register a hazard faster than a driver and apply the

brakes quickly.

The system is so useful that the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety won't give

a vehicle its top safety rating without at least the forward collision warning.

2.

Lane Departure Warning Lane departure warning systems uses cameras

or lasers to monitor lane markings.

If the vehicle exits the lane without the correct turn signal being activated, the system

sounds an alarm.

Some vehicles vibrate the steering wheel or the driver's seat as well.

The system is helpful in preventing accidents due to inattentive drivers, or a driver who

may be falling asleep at the wheel.

The system is a double-edged sword though, as some drivers may become complacent, assuming

that the system will alert them if something goes wrong, becoming less alert and possibly

causing an accident.

When used properly as an aid, and not as a crutch, the lane departure warning system

is a very useful safety feature that is becoming more common in cars today.

3.

Blind Spot Warning Blind spot warning systems use radar or cameras

to monitor the blind spot on a vehicle.

When a vehicle enters the blind spot a light will illuminate in the instrument panel of

the vehicle, altering the driver of the vehicle's presence.

Should the driver not notice the light and attempt to change lanes, the system will let

out an audible warning to deter the driver from completing the action.

This system should be used in conjunction with proper driving procedures, as relying

solely on this system can lead to accidents in the event the system malfunctions.

Usually only available in luxury cars, the blind spot warning system is becoming more

common in vehicles.

It's only a matter of time before it becomes a standard.

4.

Adaptive Headlights Adaptive headlights pivot to follow the steering

wheel input while driving, giving the driver a clearer view of the road ahead.

This technology has been proven highly effective, especially around dark corners.

With this feature, the driver will be able to see not only the road ahead but anyone

who may be walking along the side of the road at night, as well as a deer that may dart

in front of the car.

Some systems also include automatic high beams.

This feature, when turned on, will automatically detect if the area ahead is clear and will

activate the vehicle's high beams.

When a car approaches from the front, the system will automatically turn the high beams

off.

5.

Adaptive Cruise Control The adaptive cruise control system uses information

from the navigation system and cameras that read traffic signs to adjust speeds accordingly.

The system can be programmed to drive up to 10 mph over the posted speed limit.

Radar scanners at the front of the vehicle constantly scan the road ahead.

As the vehicle approaches a slower vehicle, the adaptive cruise control system will automatically

reduce vehicle power and gently apply the brakes.

The safe distance is set at a certain number of seconds, rather than meters or feet, so

a safe reaction time is always maintained.

Around corners, the system uses data from the stability control system to decide if

the speeds need to be adjusted.

If sudden deceleration is required, a warning sound and a visual message alert the driver.

6.

Voice Controls Voice control started with Bluetooth connectivity,

allowing the use of your cell phone while driving.

Now luxury cars are starting to add voice control for other avenues in the vehicle.

Controlling things like the climate control, navigation system, and even the windshield

wipers via voice is available on certain vehicles.

Features like this will help the driver maintain focus on the road, instead of fiddling with

buttons and knobs on the dash trying to get the temperature correct.

The technology is still glitchy at times, misunderstanding commands or not working correctly,

and new users should spend time familiarizing themselves with the feature before trying

it on the highway.

As a convenience and safety feature, however, it is on the way to becoming standard in all

vehicles.

7.

Back-up Sensors Back-up sensors are small sensors installed

in the rear bumper of a vehicle that assist in backing a vehicle up.

When the car is placed in reverse, the sensors are activated.

As the car rolls backwards, the sensors check for any obstruction behind the vehicle.

Once one is detected, an audible tone will go off to alert the driver that they are close

to something.

Some systems have lights as well as tones.

As you get closer, the light changes from green, to yellow, to red, indicating the proximity

to whatever is behind the vehicle.

Back-up sensors are helpful but can be flawed, as the sensors may not pick up things that

are too high or too low behind the car.

They should be used as an aid, and caution should still be taken when traveling in reverse.

8.

Back-up Cameras A back-up camera does exactly what the name

implies: it is a camera mounted on the rear bumper that helps the driver back up.

Vehicles with this feature usually have a small screen mounted on their dashboard that

activates once the car is placed in reverse.

Many displays have distance readings so you know how close you are, and some have trajectory

lines that help when parallel parking or backing into a spot on an angle.

This feature helps prevent damage to your vehicle and others when backing up, but also

helps prevent running something over you wouldn't normally be able to see.

Drivers with children won't have to worry about toys and bikes left behind the car with

this feature.

9.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS)

monitors the tire pressure of each tire individually.

When a tire's pressure drops below a certain threshold, a light on the dash informs the

driver that a tire is low.

Under-inflated tires lead to tread separation and failure, resulting in 40,000 accidents,

33,000 injuries, and over 650 deaths per year.

Properly inflated tires offer better handling, stability, and braking.

The TPMS system also extends tire life, as it informs the driver when a tire is low,

resulting in the driver adding air to keep it at the appropriate levels.

Properly inflated tires also help fuel mileage; the Department of Transportation estimates

that under-inflated tires waste 2 billion gallons of fuel each year.

10.

Electronic Stability Control Electronic stability control (ESC) keeps your

car on the road when you have lost control.

The system checks 25 times a second if the direction your car is traveling corresponds

to the steering input.

If it detects a slide, it applies the brakes in an effort to help steer the vehicle where

the driver intends to go.

Braking is automatically applied to the wheels individually, such as to the outer front wheel

to counter oversteering, or the inner rear wheel to correct understeering.

Some systems also reduce engine power when a skid is detected until control is regained,

preventing the car from going further out of control.

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, one third of fatal accidents could

be prevented with this technology.

15 Reasons Why Classic Cars Had More Charm and Character Compared To Modern Cars - Duration: 12:45.

1.

Modern Cars are Homogenized One of the primary reasons that classic cars

have more charm and character when compared to modern cars is that new autos have become

homogenized over time.

The primary reason for the similarity in look and feel of today's autos is due to the

vast expansion of government regulation of the car industry over the past 40+ years.

Some of the largest areas of regulation during this timeframe have come in required crash

protection, emissions, and gas mileage standards.

Although all regulations have been thoroughly thought out and researched for the betterment

of society, they have had a significant impact on the design and functionality of today's

automobile when compared to classic automobiles.

These improvements have made driving in the modern era significantly safer than post WW

II, but still leave car aficionados wanting more out of automotive designers.

2.

Modern Cars are not Unique Over time, the total number of auto manufacturers

in the world has decreased during the past several decades.

Between company mergers, going out of business due to profitability concerns, and acquisitions,

there is just not as much choice available to the consumer on a day-to-day basis as there

was in the past resulting in modern cars not having as much charm and character as those

made in the past.

The varieties of autos that are sold on today's market are less risky in their overall design

appearance in order to ensure economic success of the model line.

Even the largest car manufacturers are not able to afford the economic risk of putting

a new auto model on the market without thorough testing and consumer feedback in hand.

The negative fallout on the overall performance of the car manufacturer is big for just one

failed car model in today's economy.

3.

Impact of Improved Crash Standards Over the past four decades, there has been

a significant investment by the auto industry into improving crash standards in all vehicles.

This research was triggered by federal regulation implemented in order to make it safer to drive

on the busy highways and roadways.

A big side effect of these improved standards is the impact it has had on the front-end

design of cars.

In order to meet current regulations, cars must be designed to be able to withstand a

certain level of force.

The styling is also limited further by not being able to incorporate any protrusions

that will lead to more harm if the car hits a pedestrian.

The combined effect is to limit the design possibilities of modern cars making them appear

to have less charm and character than classic automobiles.

4.

Side Effect of Improved Sound Proofing Over time, automotive drivers have become

accustomed to cars that are easy to handle and do not make a significant amount of noise.

This requires the steering and suspension of the automobile to be isolated from the

car, and does not transmit as much feedback to the driver as a classic automobile does

when behind the wheel.

As a result, the overall character and charm of a classic automobile appears to be better

when compared to modern cars.

Although extremely expensive automobiles can replicate the feeling the classics give to

drivers, most consumers prefer to drive the automobile that has the best performance for

the money and worry less about the character of the auto.

5.

Electronic Driving Aids If you have ever driven a classic car, then

you know that one of the biggest differences between the car and a modern auto is that

classic vehicles do not have any electronic driving aids.

Fans of classic autos believe that this allows the driver to establish a more intimate connection

with their car and adds to the overall charm and character of the vehicle.

Older vehicles were designed to allow the driver to feel the car in order to allow the

driver to keep control of the car.

Modern cars use stability control that helps control the yaw or relative speed of the wheels

for the driver.

On legacy vehicles, this feedback that the car comes directly from the steering wheel

itself, the seat, and even when the tires squeal.

These effects are eliminated for the most part in modern era of automotive production.

6.

Real Materials used for the Interior Design A big reason that classic cars have more charm

and character when compared to modern cars is that the interiors of the vehicles were

made from real material.

Legacy auto manufacturers did not have the option of using fake leather or pleather when

designing the interior of a new car or truck.

Many of the older autos featured genuine leather seats and carpeting materials.

Classic car owners swear that the older leather seats just smell and feel different than what

consumers find on today's vehicles.

Fans of modern cars will counter with the smell being one of age; however, in the ongoing

efforts to squeeze as much profit as possible out of modern cars, it cannot be argued that

classic autos used more original materials on the interior of the autos.

7.

Freedom of Design For the most part, modern day automotive design

lags that of classic cars which has a negative impact on the overall charm and character

of new cars.

Before car manufacturers started to base their designs on what will sell to the market the

best, each of the major auto manufacturers would take great pride in standing out from

the competition with the overall design of the autos.

Each brand was known for their specific look and feel unlike today where sedans from each

major auto manufacturer look extremely similar to each other.

There are exceptions in the modern day market, but generally these are limited to niche or

high-end cars that are not targeted to the mainstream audience.

Most designs seen in the car show rooms today are very conservative and are focused on mass

market appeal.

8.

Sturdy Construction A big reason that classic cars have more charm

and character when compared to modern autos is the sturdy construction of the vehicles.

For years, gasoline was cheap, and auto makers were not incentivized to make vehicle weight

a primary design concern when making their vehicles.

The difference in weight combined with the relatively few driver's aids available on

classic vehicles gives them a different feeling than driving a new car off of the lot today.

Many of the vehicles were also much larger than those we see on the roads today giving

the driver an added feeling of security when driving the car in heavy traffic or on windy

roads.

Although classic cars were not bullet proof, they delivered an added feeling of safety

that is hard to replicate with modern autos.

9.

Greater Driver Tolerance for Flaws When classic cars were first produced, the

consumer was not conditioned to expect that the vehicle would come without flaws.

Whether the car was loud, the ride was a bit rough, or it took some effort to handle the

car, these flaws are considered to be part of the charm and character of classic cars

compared to modern autos.

When a driver gets behind the wheel of a modern car, there is an expectation that the vehicle

will be extremely quiet inside of the cabin, and that the driving and riding experience

will be close to perfect.

Car aficionados believe that this trend towards the perfect ride takes away from the charm

of today's automobiles.

10.

Auto Industry Corporate Culture Over time the auto industry corporate culture

has matured into a very corporate, and professional industry.

As a result, the companies take a more conservative and systematic approach to designing new cars

for the market.

Where the dreams of a few engineers (or even just one) would result in a car with a bit

more charm and character for classic automobiles, today's vehicle designs are often the results

of design committees and focus group discussions.

As a result, the original design concepts of modern autos tend to be more watered down

than many classics in order to stick to current trends and better sales on the show room floors

when dealing with large volume production vehicles from the major automotive manufacturers.

11.

Impact of Technology The technologic advances of the past several

decades in computing have surpassed Moore's Law, and had a significant impact on the overall

design of modern automobiles.

Combined with increased competition for car sales and the process to design and build

a new car has never been more complex.

This complexity brings a significant amount of cost to the car manufacturers who cannot

afford to have a new car model be a flop or fail to meet expectations.

As a result, they are less willing to take on risk with it comes to the overall design

of their automobiles resulting in many modern autos have significantly less charm and character

when compared to a classic car.

12.

Fuel Efficiency Regulation By 2025, car manufacturers will be required

to hit a 54.5 MPG or equivalent fuel efficiency target for new cars.

This legislation builds on demands from past consumer experience and frustration with high

prices at the gas pump for the vehicles.

Design-wise, the new federal regulations will continue to play a significant impact on the

overall look, feel, and character that modern cars lack when compared to classic cars.

Many new cars that approach or meet the future standard lack the same noises and feel that

legacy autos deliver to the driver.

In some electric models, it can be difficult to tell if the car is even running except

for seeing the vehicle move on the roadway.

Entry-Level Price Points are Higher Today Many car aficionados look back at the car

they drove in their formative (or younger) years, and fondly think of the vehicle as

having more charm and class than the modern autos of today.

In many cases for niche cars sold on today's market, the vehicles are priced well outside

of what young drivers who are not wealthy can afford to drive.

As a result, their "world view" as compared to 20-30 years ago consists of less expensive

and fuel efficient automobiles vice the best looking or performing roadster or sports car

on the market today.

This furthers the thought process that classic cars just have more charm and character since

the young drivers of today just do not get the exposure to like autos of the past.

Regulation of the Car Industry The regulation of the car industry really

got moving in the mid-late 1960s when Ralph Nader made a public case in a book regarding

the dangers of the car industry.

Similarly, the impact of air pollution in the major cities in the United States started

to wear on the populace.

Since that timeframe, there were a number of mandates put into place by the state and

federal governments regarding auto safety and air pollution standards that impacted

cars as we knew them starting in 1969.

Today's automotive manufacturers have a significantly large volume of regulations

to keep designs in accordance with in order to sell autos to the public today.

Although these regulations have improved air quality and the overall safety of car drivers

and passengers, they are a big reason behind classic cars having more charm and character

when compared to modern cars.

Modern Design Preferences Over time, the fashions and design preferences

that consumers have for automobiles have changed.

Although many car aficionados prefer the look and feel of vintage cars from the 1950s and

1960s, there is a significant portion of the population today who prefer the more contemporary

designs featured by auto designers today.

Until today's autos become classics, they will continue to be considered less charming

and have less character than the classic autos of the past.
