what's going on guys it's Brian from BG meeting innovation and today I want to

bring you some great content if you're new to the channel

alright guys happy Sunday I want to bring you some great Instagram content

again today today I want to talk about whether or not you should follow and

unfollow here in 2018 on Instagram now this is a tough question to answer

because to be honest with you there is no yes-or-no answer it depends and it

depends on your goals and your Instagram page and really what you know you your

purpose for Instagram and using the social media platform is so I mean I'm

sure all of us have you know personal instagrams where clearly unless you're

trying to build a brand and generate traffic to your bio link and that's

something that I'll talk about in a second

you know you shouldn't obviously be following on following to build your

your your your personal page or you know your brand page if you're trying to

amass a following and stuff like that then maybe that's not the way you want

to go and I wanna talk about the two reasons and the two answers that might

typically be why you want to unfollow or you want to follow and follow in 2018

even with the new algorithm update or you you know maybe that's not for you if

you want to go the other route so I'm gonna talk about both of them here and

the answer clearly is that it depends on your goals so here typically is one of

the instagrams that I use you know just to clearly this is the same stuff that I

post on my BG meeting innovation dumb Instagram and I have a couple different

instagrams just like this that posts the same exact thing with different hashtags

same exact bio links same exact you know form and method of you know getting

people there by offering my free drop shipping course and if you watch any of

my other Instagram videos then you'll know that sometimes I put my YouTube

channel here if I'm doing a giveaway or something like that and then what I do

is I I follow unfollow with file like now I have an entire video and honestly

an entire Instagram automation playlist if you want to go ahead and check that

out I'll drop that as a card up in the right-hand corner for you that will

really really help you out not only will it talk about different automation

services and you know the importance of them and why you might want to use them

but also on top of that it will walk you through setting up foul licker and

everything you know so you can get started that's literally beginner

friendly you don't need to know anything about file like a that will help you but

the reason you know that you might want to use you know follow and follow here

in 2018 even with the update is if your goal is to just generate traffic

to your bio link if you're not trying to be able I don't know what that was but

if you're not trying to build a massive following you know and start you know

generating followers and building a brand around this page then yes

following and follow works the reason for that is because you're just trying

to generate traffic to your bi link and what follow unfollow does is basically

bring people to your Instagram page which will then have the potential to

like your posts and you know comment and engage with your posts but more

importantly click your bi link and send that traffic to where you want them to

go so that's typically why people follow unfollow now here in 2018 not

necessarily to build the following and that's something to keep in mind so it

depends on your goals however if you're doing follow unfollow still here in 2018

keep in mind that you might have decreased visibility on some of your

posts so even when I post now here you know I don't get as much of visibility

on a lot of my posts because I'm unfollowing on following I did you know

I also talked about hash tagging properly and I did an entire video on

hash tag properly and why that might get you shadow banned and some of your posts

I did that yesterday if you want to check that out I'll drop that as a card

up in the right-hand corner very very important stuff but typically follow

unfollow does still work here in 2018 if your sole goal is to just get traffic to

the biolink if you're so if if one of your goals is to get traffic to your bio

link but then you also want to grow your page you also want to see good

engagement then typically my answer would be no you should not do that but

just keep in mind if you are doing follow unfollow like I said your your

visibility will be decreased if your goal however is to grow that page you

know a massive following build your brand potentially you know or turn

Instagram into a business then potentially you don't want to follow and

file that's the last thing that you want to do because just like the video that

had yesterday with too many hashtags and how that can affect you know the

Shadowman and instagrams algorithm flagging a post for you if you're

following unfollowing not always depending on how you set it

up but there are some stipulations and some red flags that the algorithm will

catch you on if you're not doing it properly and that's why I suggest not to

do follow and follow it doesn't work as well to build a following with a new

algorithm update and that's something to keep in mind so you just need to ask

yourself you know what your goal is is your goal potentially to you know just

generate traffic you're violent maybe you have a drop shipping store and your

sole purpose for this Instagram is to just get traffic to that store so

you can make sales maybe your sole purpose is to just get traffic to your

YouTube channel so that you can turn that potential traffic into subscribers

and views and add revenue and so on and so forth then yes follow and follow will

work for you but if you're building a brand here in 2018 if you want to see

engagement on your posts if you want to grow your Instagram then you should not

be following and following and the reason that I wanted to touch on this

today even though I've made a video like this in the past is because I've been

getting a lot of questions I've done Instagram videos recently and this is a

question I keep getting across the board and I want to make sure that you guys

you know really comprehend and understand this so you know because I

genuinely understand the power of Instagram and how if you use it properly

it can really help your business and help you grow so that's the important

thing I do have an Instagram course it's

basically turning and scram into a business so that will typically be you

know where you don't want to unfollow it or where you don't want to follow and

follow although it can help still with that as always that that course is the

course coming out on the algorithm update how you can use stories to

generate traffic and build your brand and so on and so forth and you know all

want to keep in mind here in 2018 and as we move forward that is not live yet but

engagement or an improvement in your following or a decreased engagement and

Follow My Lead: Havana - The Seduction of Rumba (Episode 4) - Duration: 6:22.

I'm in Havana and I'm dancing at Mil Ocho,

and I'm dancing with a company that I've been admiring for months.

I've been focusing on salsa dancing while I've been here in Havana

But there's another dance that I've really been anxious to learn

and that's rumba

It's a really significant Afro Cuban dance

And there's a certain style called "guaguancó"

and you see this a lot even in salsa dancing

It's this flirtatious dance between a man and a woman

where the man tries to "vacuna" the woman

or "impregnate" her

and she has to coyly stop him.

So to really improve my rumba and really learn more

about the technique and how to improvise

I'm taking private classes with Adrian at Casa del Son in Habana Vieja.

One of the challenging things for me in learning rumba

is that I basically have to learn how to

move my body in a completely different way

So I have to create new muscle memory in my body

and be able to learn all of the techniques

so I don't have to think about it

Because unlike salsa which is a mix of kind of predictable basic movements and improvising

Rumba is all improvising.

So there's no time to think or remember a step.

You just have to dance

Something that was a little bit of a surprise for me when I started taking rumba

was just how sore I would get it

It really hurts

You're doing a lot of movements where

you're kind of bouncing your legs a little bit.

You're almost in a tiny squat

You're moving your hips

and almost everyone I know is just dying from soreness the next day.

It hurts so much. Oh my god.

Oh my god.

Let me see if I can show you what I'm trying to do

I'm trying to like, roll...on the side...

In addition to improvising in rumba, there's also

this whole character that you have to take on

and that's probably been

That's been equally challenging as just learning the techniques

because you really have to own it when you dance rumba.

But especially when you dance guaguancó because you're doing this whole flirtation with the man

And you have to come out and be really confident and really sensual.

And it's actually not an easy thing to do especially when you're still learning the steps.

I've been dancing salsa for years so it's a really different process learning how to improve my salsa dancing.

I had very ambitious goals with salsa.

With rumba I feel like my goals are a little bit more reasonable

I just want to understand the music a little better

Understand the basic technique, and how I should be moving my body

and just be able to improvise a little bit

But have fun with it

and kind of take on that character of that

confident, sensual, flirtatious woman

even if I can only do it for like a minute that will be an accomplishment for me.

We're gonna dance to a salsa song that has rumba in it

It's actually one of my favorite songs

and we're gonna test out how

I can improvise and dance with Adrian

and protect myself from the "vacunas"

and also try to have fun doing it at the same time. Yeah?

So, I'm feeling pretty good about my rumba now

I can't say that I'm ecstatic about it

But I know that I'm doing better than I was a few months ago

And I know I'm starting to understand the movement more

and not have to think about it so much

But there's still a lot of times improvising

where I just feel like I can't quite react fast enough

Or - maybe I'll get the flirtatious vibe, but I'll lose the basic technique

or I'll have the technique right

but then I forget to block.

I still have a lot of work to do

But I am happy that I have made progress,

and I can be proud of myself for that.

We're good for the day, I'm gonna keep practicing and trying to keep getting better.
