what's going on guys it's Brian from BG meeting innovation and today I want to
bring you some great content if you're new to the channel

alright guys so today I want to talk about an experience that I recently had
where I realized that I was shadow van on Instagram here in 2018 now first and
foremost I want to get into some of the common misconceptions about getting
shadow band on Instagram and then you know we're gonna get into the specifics
of how you can tell you can you know not only detect if your post or your account
shadow band and then how to fix it and move forward with that but first and
foremost to my knowledge at least shadow banning an account is speculation nobody
really knows if you can have an entire account shadow band to my knowledge you
can only have a post shadow band and so that's a common misconception people
think you know oh your account Shadow Man you're screwed you know you're not
gonna be able to get visibility you're not gonna be able to get engagement on
your posts you're definitely not gonna get outside traffic and outside people
seeing them and you're certainly not gonna win on the explore page for any of
your posts and while that is definitely speculation and not necessarily true it
can certainly happen for individual posts and all of your posts going
forward if you don't correct some of these mistakes so I have an entire
Instagram course coming out it's not released yet so don't worry this is not
a plug for it just killed it completely you know
finished it outlined it and completely just finish the entire thing I think it
was two days ago and so I'm gonna have that live in a couple days with a bunch
of courses that are launching here in March and I'm really really excited
about so stay tuned for some of them if you're looking for that it should be
live in about you know maybe a week or so on you to me and obviously on my
website but I wanted to talk about that because I put a lot of these things that
I've learned here in 2018 with the new algorithm updates especially pertaining
to shadow banning and stuff like that and use of hashtags which I'm gonna talk
about here in a second and I want to bring that knowledge to you so that you
don't make those same mistakes and you can learn from them so I did an entire
video on you know how to basically how you should be hash tagging here in 2018
if you have not checked that out you might want to go ahead and check that
out I'll drop a card up in the right-hand corner for you right now and
that way you can go ahead and check that out so you make sure that your hash
tagging properly and then come back and I'm going to show you an example of how
actually hash tagging improperly in 2018 before I realized what I was doing and
kind of and you know Broughton guys that video
how that affected my Instagram account and specifically different individual
posts so here we are I'm gonna go through a website that I use and it's
really really great kind of basically tests your post to see if it's Shadow
Man if it has outside visibility if it has the potential to show up on the
explore page for the certain hashtags no I'm not getting not gonna get
specifically into you know how to hash tag how many hashtags how you know
whether or not you should put you know different hashtags on each post at like
you know you know not typically in the past just to kind of briefly go over it
you would you know you might post 30 hashtags always the same relative to
your niche and you might you know I would personally save them in my notepad
on my iPhone I'm sure a lot of you did that as well and then you'd go in and
every single post just kind of show you you would post those those posts and/or
those hash tags in the comments much like this is the first comment you know
we were all taught that in 2018 or 2017 sorry and a lot of us took that you know
to heart and and it worked it generated a lot of traffic but here 2018 they
switched the algorithm around not only does that not work anymore but they
actually penalize you for doing so so I'm gonna show you here with this this
website now this is a website where you can basically test like I said if your
posts are Shadowman and they don't have visibility I'll link this in the
description I'll also link my other Instagram course in the description as
well and that'll be the first link also guys I've changed my descriptions around
put some emojis in there let me know give me some feedback down in the
comments if you like the new descriptions if you think they're more
you know engaging and you know kind of a fun or place to be you know I'd love to
hear some of your feedback on that but I'll drop this there should be the
second link in the description underneath my other Instagram core
course which is basically turning Instagram into a business and using your
bio links to generate traffic to affiliate websites I won't get too too
much into that but this is a great website and I'm gonna show you how to
use it really fast so this is how I can tell that I'm shadow bin so we'll pull
up this new one that I just posted about two three hours ago that's kind of
generating traffic now and what you're gonna need is you're gonna need your
account name which obviously you know and you're gonna need the URL of that
actual post so you'd have to do this on a computer you know or if you can you
know sign in on on potential browser on your mobile phone
and that's fine too but then you're gonna need to post that that the URL of
that post and your your account name here on this websites one hundred
percent free to use and then just hit get tested and then it'll say whether or
not your shadow banned and whether or not your post appears on the pages for
those you know those potential um Explorer pages for those hashtags and
for this specific post I just posted because I'm posting right now and I'm
using hashtags properly now I'm only using five they're different most posts
the relevant to my post I have a six one in here too but as long as you don't go
overboard you know and there's a fine line there then Instagram will you know
shadow ban your post and then pretty much you know kill its visibility so
like I said I I did that entire video a couple days ago if you didn't click that
link already go ahead back check a couple days back and it should be there
for you it's about how to use hashtags properly or in 2018 on Instagram or
something like that I believe that's what it's called so
this specific post is good it says whew I'm safe for tonight make sure I don't
you know obviously hashtag improperly tomorrow but if you go back further to
this specific post here you'll see that I posted and then I still did this is
wasn't 2018 this is one of the first ones that I did before I realized and I
did the same thing I posted all those hashtags in the comments right so let's
run this one and I'll show you what it says we'll post the URL type in BG media
innovation again and hit get tested did not hit guess tested oops I think I
messed that up on them don't hit Enter little caveat there I hit get tested and
it should pop up why is it not working
it was working earlier there we go so sorry this post is banned and the reason
for that is because I used too many hashtags here in 2018 I did the same
thing the same old 2017 strategy where I posted 30 hashtags in the comments
section as the first comment trying to generate traffic from all of those
different hashtags and that does not work anymore so not only do you not get
all these hashtags but Instagram is gonna completely kill the visibility of
that post and you're certainly not gonna land on the explore page for that
because you've been your post has been Shadowman in specific you know this post
here for the hashtags so make sure that you guys are hash tagging properly here
in 2018 I can't stress that enough it's very very important like I said stay
tuned for that Instagram course where not only this tip not only the hashtags
tip not only you know literally there's millions not millions that's that's
aggressive well oh there's there's a good number of great great Instagram
tips they're gonna help you not only grow your following but obviously
monetize and make sure that you're you know really getting the most bang for
