Neil Gorsuch Just Did Something To Bader-Ginsburg That Has Rocked The Court

The Supreme Court of the United States has entered it's Fall term and already there's

a not so unexpected rivalry brewing in the ranks.

As we all well know, Trump appointed the Honorable Neil Gorsuch as the newest SC Justice, after

Obama failed to get his nominee pushed through on his way out of the White House door.

And that pissed a LOT of Democrats right off.

Let's just say, Ruth Bader Ginsburg (or RGB as she is known) leans so far left she

is barely visible out there.

Justice Gorsuch is a strict Constitutionalist in the vein of the man he replaced, Justice

Scalia.

During a recent oral argument, he said to one attorney "[m]aybe we can just for a

second talk about that arcane matter, the Constitution."

RBG fired at Gorsuch, trying to shut him down, but it didn't work.

He continued asking questions, one coming less than a minute after RBG tried unsuccessfully

to shut him up.

They traded barbs again just a week later during oral argument in another case.

Gorsuch, again, wanting to follow the Constitution.

RBG, on the other hand, noting how the SCOTUS has otherwise interpreted it.

SNL knows:

It could just be a seniority thing; however RGB made it quite clear during the election

what she though of Trump: "I can't imagine what the country would be with Donald Trump

as our president.

For the country, it could be four years.

For the court, it could be –I don't even want to contemplate that."

And this: "He is a faker.

He has no consistency about him.

He says whatever comes into his head at the moment.

He really has an ego.

How has he gotten away with not turning over his tax returns?"

Me thinks RGB may be taking out her feelings on Gorsuch now.

What do you think?

What was she like?

You wanna know the horrible truth?

I can't even remember what she looked like.

I only know she was the..

one thing I ever wanted.

Some things...

are worth getting your heart broken for.

It's about this boy and this girl.

And they love each other more than anything.

But they can never be together.

So they meet...

and they fall in love.

And then just when they're happiest...

the girl dies.

What happens to the boy?

He remains in love.

Just know that...

meeting you...

and everything that we have...

it's everything.

I mean...

you mean everything.

And I'm gonna continue

to hurt you.

It's... it's what I do.

It's... it's who I am.

We've all got both light and dark inside us.

What matters is the part we choose to act on.

I feel nothing.

I'm just broken...

You let me be me...

But you make me...

a better version of me.

I never thought that...

I could be this guy.

I want you.

He loved her.

And she loved him.

Trump Announces Who He's Pardoning… Hillary is Going to Lose it - Duration: 14:38.

Trump Announces Who He's Pardoning…

Hillary is Going to Lose it

President Donald Trump issued the second exonerate of his administration today when he absolved

previous Navy mariner Kristian Saucier.

Amid his battle, Trump specified Saucier a great deal, expressing that his whole life

was "demolished" despite the fact that what he did was no where close as awful as

things that Hillary Clinton has done.

At the point when Saucier was 22 years of age, he accepted photographs while his atomic

submarine.

For his activities, he lost his whole vocation in the Navy and put in a year in jail.

Saucier's attorney summoned Hillary Clinton amid his trial.

He made the contention that Saucier shouldn't be held to a higher standard than Hillary

Clinton when he did significantly less than she.

The Washington Examiner announced:

The photographs Saucier, now 31, took inside the sub were esteemed "secret," which

means the most reduced level of characterization, despite the fact that some delineated the

vessel's atomic reactor.

Clinton, by difference, sent and got all the more exceedingly ordered data on a private

and uncertain email server.

Saucier told the Washington Examiner not long ago that a lawful offense conviction made

it elusive work.

He filled in as a junk jockey to help his better half and youthful little girl.

His family's autos were repossessed while he was in jail and his Vermont home is in

dispossession.

Saucier has a while left of wearing a lower leg screen.

Saucier's significant other clarified that she couldn't have been more joyful with

President Trump's choice to exonerate her better half.

She clarified that her significant other was driving a dump truck when the news came in.

She clarified, "I can't trust it happened, it's as yet soaking in.

He messaged me back, 'what' with a shout point."

She went ahead to state, "I am exceptionally appreciative.

It will be an enormous reality when probation calls and the lower leg screen falls off."

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders helped America to remember the previous

Navy SEAL's generally estimable record amid his chance serving in the United States Navy.

She expressed, "The president is energetic about Mr. Saucier's support of the nation."

Clearly what Saucier did was not legitimate and wasn't right, but rather he has languished

enough over his mix-up.

We have individuals like Hillary Clinton circling doing whatever she damn well satisfies while

her activities are getting Americans murdered.

I haven't seen her rebuffed for anything that she has done.

It's incredible news that Saucier is at last being exonerated, and now he can at last

move on.

7 Life Lessons That Will Level-Up Your Life | Lewis Howes - Duration: 6:39.

hey my name is lewis howes I'm a New York Times bestselling author of the

school of greatness and have one of the top 100 podcasts in the world also

called the school of greatness and I want to share 7 principles that I've

learned about how to have an optimal life and career health everything

involved with how to have a great life and really have learned these things

from a lot of the interviews I've done with mentors and successful leaders in

the world so I want to share the first one right now which is about having a

clear purposeful vision for your life again I think vision always comes back

down to vision for me when people are struggling trying to figure out how to

overcome something in their life or they're figuring out how to deal with a

certain challenge or obstacle if you have a clear vision during the season of

your life of where you want to go next if where you're heading it doesn't

matter what age you are what situation your career when you have a clearer

vision than any obstacle you can overcome you can figure out how to get

through it when you know where you want to go but a lot of people have no clue

what they want or where they want to go in their life even in that season of

their life and that's what holds people back from making decisions so the first

thing have a clear purposeful vision the second thing I want to talk about is

cultivating a champions mindset so if you really don't have an optimal life

you've got to learn how to develop a sense of confidence and belief in

yourself and champions and sports have this unwavering sense of belief they're

able to take on any fear any obstacle and any challenge that's in their way in

their sport because they've practiced extremely hard they've gone through the

challenges and they believe and have confidence in themselves so you need to

start developing a routine of practicing and mastering something so you have a

confidence and a level of belief in yourself that most people aren't willing

to acquire that's the second thing is cultivating a champions mindset the next

thing is developing hustle I think in order to reach a great result in your

life to reach the peak in your career in your relationships in your health if you

have a busy whatever it may be in your sport in your

instrument you've got to develop a sense of hustle mentality I think some of the

greatest leaders in the world have an unbelievable work ethic they're able to

work extremely hard hard work alone does not get you great results you've got to

be smart with it as well but if you armed if you don't have a

desire to work hard then it's gonna be hard to live a great life so that's the

next thing is developing hustle after that it's about the body it's all about

mastering the energy of our health so that we have more energy to take on

bigger challenges bigger obstacles that may come our way and when we focus on

our health first when we really set up a routine for our life where we can

optimize our health from the things we eat how we move our body our emotional

mental health as well then we really set ourselves up for success so make sure

you're figuring out what can you do on a daily basis to move to sweat to get a

little bit uncomfortable in your body so that you can continue to live a long and

healthy life but mastering your health and your body is a is a big key the next

one is practicing positive habits so for many years I've practiced negative

habits where I've done things I've had a lot of negative self-talk I've done I've

had addictions that weren't positive that hurt me or hurt other people and if

we continue to live in a negative habits lifestyle we're going to create negative

results so think of one of the things that you could do that are positive you

know making my bed every single morning drinking more water working out every

single day having kind thoughts to yourself saying kind things to other

people you know doing the things every single day that could support you with

your emotional mental and physical health really practicing those positive

habits those routines those rituals every single day will set you up for

greater success the next one is building a winning team in life if you want to go

fast go alone if you want to go for our go together as a quote by someone I

can't remember who said that but for so many years I tried to do everything on

my own and it got me some good results but it also left me feeling very

exhausted a kind of loan when you start to build a team around you whether it be

including your family into your lifestyle or including your friends more

into what you're up to you know finding the right people in your life to support

you the mentors the coaches if you have a business hiring the right people on

your team that's what's going to help you live a more fulfilling lifestyle

when you're able to find the players of the game that you're playing in life and

really cultivate those relationships elevate those relationships and bring

everyone with you and the final key the seventh key is to live a life of service

I think you know again for for many years in my life I was focused on just

doing things for myself and it was it was good it got me results I was able to

achieve certain things but when I started to incorporate you know charity

giving back giving back of my time my resources my money to move things

forward in humanity that's when I really felt the fulfillment and that's when I

really saw greater impact for for the purpose of my life so think about what

are some things that you can do on a daily basis to give back it can be as

simple as always opening the door for someone it can be as simple as giving a

bigger tip when you're at a restaurant and giving back to that waiter or

waitress who's who's serving you it can be just smiling the people down the

street and also what are some things you could do with your time you know maybe

if you're older you could give back to you could be a big brother a big sister

and give back to a young kid who maybe doesn't have family members or parents

to really support them and give back to one person with your time maybe if

you've achieved a lot of great results you can give back of your resources or

your money and find causes that mean a lot to you whatever it is figure out a

way to live a life of service through your energy through your efforts and

through your resources and you'll live a much more

life

Trump's Opioid Plan Is WAY Too Little, Too Late - Duration: 4:59.

President Trump outlines this administration's plan to tackle the opioid crisis this week.

It's a plan that many critics are saying can be little too late.

Let's talk about what the plan is.

At the top of the plan, to me, I thought was so interesting Peter was he's going to execute.

We're going to start executing drug pushers.

What's not clear to me, if you really want to execute the right ones, it's got to be

the ones on Wall Street that pushed all these opioids out into the community.

That's the same thought I had.

Are we just defining pushers on the street corners?

Are we going to go up the corporate ladders?

Is it going to be by firing squad?

Are we going to shock them?

It's got some good components in it.

There are some good components.

What makes it severe [crosstalk 00:00:48].

Why does he say that?

The executions are just a little much.

It's this sweeping statement that we see all the time.

We're going to build the wall.

We're going to build the bigger nuclear.

It's the same kind of thing, we're going to execute the drug dealers.

Here's the story though that really should rise out of that.

Who are the drug dealers?

The drug dealers are not the cats on the street corner selling baggies of marijuana.

The drug dealers are up on Wall Street.

McKesson's CEO made $126 million in 2017.

That was his pay.

That's his pay, $126 million.

I could make a pretty good argument that he's the drug dealer.

He's the drug dealer.

He's the drug dealer.

He's making millions.

How about Cardinal?

Cardinal is another distributor.

We call him a drug distributor.

On the street they call him a drug dealer.

Since they're dressed up, and they look like business men, and they have MBAs, and they

went to college, we have to say, "No, they're drug distributors."

No, they're drug dealers.

Cardinal, Amerisource and McKesson, those are the three biggest.

They own 85% of the drug addiction problem in this country.

Now when he said, "I'm going to execute drug dealers," that's who he should be talking

about.

If he's going to do that, I'm fine with it.

How he does it is up to him, but I'm fine with the execution of these particular drug

dealers because I got to tell you something, it's going to happen again.

Yesterday, for example, you and I met with the attorney generals from all over the United

States.

Some of these attorney generals actually believe they can settle this without doing anything

by way of trying a case, which is impossible.

The only way these people react is to punish them.

That means take their money.

I got to tell you something.

I like Trump's idea.

Let's go ahead and execute the ones, and they won't do it again.

If the goal was to get attention, I think that works.

I think we could get some realistic attention by let's start getting some documents in some

of the congressional hearings.

Let's start looking.

Tell the people what the DEA did just this week.

Tell them about this ridiculous move that they made.

This is my favorite part.

You've got all these plans coming out.

This is DEA.

This is the federal government, it's the DEA.

Of all these federal plans coming out, with all of this let's fix the opioid crisis, and

here we have the DEA in federal court in Cleveland, which is where all the cases have been consolidated.

The DEA has this opportunity.

They keep track of every single pill that starts with the manufacturer and ends up on

the street.

They keep track of every single pill, and the court has given them the opportunity to

give us the roadmap, the DEA.

Instead of giving us the roadmap, instead of saying, "Here's where the problem areas

are," which they can clearly do.

Where are the pharmacies or the pill mills that are the problem?

The DEA is carrying water for big pharma making the objections like trade secrets, and these

are our business secrets.

We can't tell you where we sell.

On one hand, we have all this plan from President Trump.

On the other hand, the DEA is refusing to produce the roadmap.

Who is by the way answerable to the Attorney General of the United States.

Then we have Trump saying we're going to execute them, but here they have the chance to give

us the data.

They could give us the data.

We'd know exactly who the drug dealers are.

They have the data.

They refuse to give the data of the white collar thugs on Wall Street who are the people

who Trump should be talking about executing.

Then bring those CEOs in front of Congress and have them answer some questions with the

data that the DEA has, but instead they won't produce it.

Exactly.

Here's the real point.

Sessions, all his goofy talk about he's going to do this.

He could do something tomorrow.

He could do a perp walk tomorrow.

There is so much information that allows him to do that, but the guy, it's just the same

thing.

The guy with the briefcase, he's the real threat.

He's the bigger threat than the guy with the gun, I can tell you that.

In America today, that's the case.

Is It Safe: To Live in Russia - Duration: 7:22.

Today's show is brought to you…because one of our viewers came up with what we thought

was an excellent idea.

If we do our homework well, not only will this be a good way to learn about a country

we might know little about, but perhaps bust some myths regarding stereotypes, and give

our viewers relevant and useful information about a place they might want to travel to

someday.

We picked Russia because this is the first example our viewer gave us, and it's certainly

a place that is widely discussed and possibly even mischaracterized.

Today we'll bring you all the latest statistics, see what the media is saying, and look at

what Russians are saying on forums, in this episode of the Infographics Show, Is It Safe:

To Live in Russia?

So, what's the first thing we think about when we visit, or go to live in a country,

regarding safety?

It's usually crime, but as a tourist, it would be crimes against tourists.

As a foreign face living there, you could be mistaken for a tourist.

Some countries have a lot of organized crime, yet on the surface things might seem pretty

safe for a visitor.

Ok, so first we looked at Numbeo, a site that publishes information on the perception of

visitors in certain countries, in this case Russia.

The level of crime overall was stated as "moderate".

It said safety when walking alone in the daylight was good, but only moderate at night.

Just about all crime was said to be moderate, except burglary was low, assaults because

of ethnicity was low, and assault and robbery was low.

However, the murder rate for 2015 was high by global standards at 11.31 per 100,000.

That is higher than the USA.

We looked at the Journal of Socialomics to try and understand this.

Its main conclusion was this, "...alcohol is a major contributor to the homicide rate

in the Russian Federation."

Yes, as you may know from our other shows, Russians drink a lot, especially the men.

You can try and find what governments are saying about travel to or living in Russia.

The US Department of State said violent crime in Moscow is not uncommon, stating that visitors

"drinking alcohol are especially vulnerable to assault and robbery in/around nightclubs

or bars or on their way home."

It also mentioned pickpockets, smash and grabs thefts, mostly happening in busy areas or

on the metro.

It listed some of the worst things to happen recently, which included a Japanese man being

beaten to death, but other than that it only mentioned Russian against Russian violent

crime.

That doesn't look too bad, and it seems rates of assaults have seen a dramatic reduction

in the last decade.

The British FCO reports that, "the majority of Russia, from the western fringes of Europe

to the far eastern shores, is safe."

It advises against travelling to Chechnya, Ingushetia and Dagestan and the districts

of Budyonnovsky, Levokumsky, Neftekumsky, Stepnovsky and Kursky in Stavropol Krai.

It said of the 150,000 British tourists that visit Russia, their visit is mostly trouble

free.

Again, it said most crime is petty street crime, or even online dating scams or the

spiking of drinks.

Use common sense it says, and you should be ok.

It added that people of varying ethnicities should not receive any negative attention,

even though Russia has sometimes been maligned for racism.

We then looked at Quora, where Russian nationals answered the question, "How safe is Russia

for foreign visitors?"

Dmitry Pavlov, a resident of St. Petersburg, said the same thing as the US and British

governments: be aware of thieves and pickpockets.

He said it is mostly safe for foreigners, but did add that people should probably stay

away from some of the "bad" neighborhoods.

He called these "bedroom districts" and listed some, but we all know in any city there

are some dodgy looking places we should probably stay away from.

Another man called Sergey Lourie said that in Moscow in some areas, thugs might skulk

around at night, so stay in well-lit places.

As we found on other sites, he said police are everywhere in Moscow and they are usually

helpful and speak some English.

Most people said the same, with one Russian poster concluding, "If you take reasonable

precautions: do not have unprotected sex, do not drink alcohol too much, do not be rude

with strangers and so on - you will be OK."

Lastly, is it ok to be LGBTQ in Russia, given some horror stories we see on the news?

According to websites dealing with the matter, you should be aware that homophobia is common,

but nonetheless you shouldn't have a hard time.

Gay people writing on Quora about the issue, who had visited Russia, said they experienced

no problems.

One Russian said you are safe, "as long as you don't flaunt it," which is kinda

stupid, but what are you gonna do?

Some more statistics.

As of 2018, Russia has 410 people per 100,000 serving time behind bars in prison.

The total number of people behind bars of any sort, even those awaiting trial, was a

little over 602,000 out of 147 million people.

We don't need to tell you that this is much less than those in prison in the U.S., but

it's actually still very high in regard to the rest of the world.

As for that other talked about matter of the moment, gun ownership, in 2016 the Moscow

Times reported that about 9 percent of Russians own a firearm.

In terms of the number of guns in a country, statistics tell us that Russia is not that

"gun obsessed".

Another thing is how safe it is to drive.

This can be an important matter.

A good example is Thailand finding itself at the top of the most dangerous holiday destinations.

While Thailand does have violent crime against tourists, and you don't want to go picking

fights with the local tuk-tuk drivers, you'll find that most of the foreign deaths there,

expat or tourist, are down to Thailand's incredibly dangerous roads.

This is a major safety concern, and visitors should be aware of it.

So, what about Russia, the country where so many crazy crash videos come from?

Well, the latest list we could find didn't put Russia in the top 25 dangerous places

to drive a vehicle.

Still, at 18.9 deaths per 100,000, it's in the fairly high category.

Expatica tells you this about driving in the country: "Russia has a poor road safety

record, though driving in Russia has improved in recent years, with a 14 percent drop in

accidents between 2010 and 2015, and an 11 percent fall in road deaths."

It said roads can be bad, conditions can be difficult, and there are loads of traffic

rules and driving customs you should read up on before getting into a car.

It also said some Russian drivers will weave in and out, drive fast and carelessly, and

ignore road rules.

The article added that this happens less now as Russian cops are not so easy to bribe and

are cracking down on these dangerous drivers.

So, what else could be dangerous when visiting or moving to a new country?

Food poisoning?

'Cos you've got to eat, right.

Well, any world traveler will know there are many countries where you can easily get a

case of an exploding stomach, that's why we have terms such as Delhi belly and Montezuma's

revenge, but Russia doesn't get on any lists for countries where that might happen.

What about the animals, because getting bitten by a spider or a snake or even a mosquito

can end your life in some places.

Well, if you are going to enter the Russian wilderness then yes, there are some animals

you might want to stay away from.

We should add, your chances of going home in a coffin due to meeting one of these is

very, very low.

Watch out for the brown bear (Mishka), tigers, wolves, the common northern viper or a little

spider called the karakurt.

On a more realistic note, you have no risk of getting malaria according to the NHS, and

dengue isn't a problem.

So, you are pretty much good to go in that regard.

All in all, crime in Russia shouldn't make it to you unless you are just plain unlucky,

particularly if you don't go getting really drunk and following a strange man down a dark

alley on the promise of receiving illegal substances.

(been there).

Also, maybe don't drive if you haven't studied the road rules, and don't join political

protests.

So, Do you live in Russia or have you ever visited Russia?

Would you say that it's a relatively safe place, contrary to how its portrayed in the

media?

Congress Makes It Official Hillary Clinton and James Comey Set To Be Investigated By Special Counsel - Duration: 16:22.

Congress Makes It Official: Hillary Clinton and James Comey Set To Be Investigated By

Special Counsel

House Conservatives have launched a probe gunning for the investigation and prosecution

of James Comey and Hillary Clinton, demanding information from the Justice Department that

they believe will expose a "criminal conspiracy."

Two days after President Trump demanded to know why "Hillary's crimes" were not

being investigated, the amendment requires the Justice Department to appoint a special

counsel to investigate the shady dealings of James Comey, Loretta Lynch and Hillary

Clinton during the last election cycle.

The amendment, first reported by the Washington Post, demands information on "leaks by James

B. Comey," on "the propriety and consequence of immunity deals given to possible Hillary

Clinton co-conspirators" and Comey's decision to "usurp the authority of then-Attorney

General Loretta Lynch in his unusual announcement that criminal charges would not be brought

against" Clinton.

Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., a co-sponsor of the amendment, said he aims to "push back"

against "accusations" that are distracting from the agenda of President Trump and Republicans

in Congress.

"The bottom line is we are tired of passively letting people make accusations to overcrowd

our agenda and they ought to respond to claims we know exist about their misconduct," Biggs

said in an interview, referring to Clinton and other Democrats targeted in the amendment,

including Susan Rice, former President Barack Obama's national security adviser.

IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING

Washington Examiner reports: The amendment requires the Justice Department to appoint

a special counsel to explore the Justice Department and FBI's handling of the Clinton email

investigation.

"For the past several years, Democrats have obstructed justice and blocked every Congressional

investigation imaginable," said Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, another sponsor of the amendment,

in a statement to the Washington Examiner.

"Both parties have criticized James Comey over the past year for his performance as

FBI director.

Even Sen. Feinstein [Dianne] says there should be an investigation into Loretta Lynch and

James Comey's handling of the Clinton investigation.

Let's have a special counsel for that and see how serious congressional Democrats are

about getting to the truth."

The amendment, also sponsored by Reps. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., and Mike Johnson, R-La., will

be attached to a bill from Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., that requests the Justice Department

provide documents related to Comey's firing.

In recent days, Trump has complained on Twitter that Attorney General Jeff Sessions has not

moved to investigate Clinton on other issues unrelated to her use of a private email server

while she was secretary of state.

CLINTON FOUNDATION UNDER SCRUTINY

The conservative-authored amendment asks the Justice Department to explain why the FBI

did not further investigate Clinton for "selling access to the U.S. State Department through

Clinton Foundation donations."

Biggs insisted he and his colleagues did not file their amendment to do the bidding of

Trump.

"This is a matter of seeking justice," Biggs said.

"It's what this is always about.

If you don't seek justice, people lose faith and confidence in their representatives."

In addition to Clinton and Comey, the amendment targets Rice, who some conservatives argue

inappropriately sought the identities of people close to Trump — in a process known as "unmasking"

— whose communications were captured after the election in surveillance of foreigners

by U.S. spy agencies.

Giant Sac Covers Baby's Face, But When Doctors Remove It Parents Weep At Sight Underneath - Duration: 2:35.

Giant Sac Covers Baby's Face, But When Doctors Remove It Parents Weep At Sight Underneath

Being prepared for anything is part of the parenting game, and no one knows this better

than 46-year-old Valeka Riegel who, during her prenatal ultrasound, found out that her

unborn son had a rather unusual condition.

Zakary Riegel was born with a rare defect covering the majority of his face with a sac.

Also known as encephalocele, this sac is where the brain tissue collects when a baby's skull

doesn't close all the way during development in the womb.

According to statistics from the CDC, one in 12,200 babies is born with some form of

encephalocele each year.

So even though Zakary was born healthy in all other aspects, when Valeka first saw him,

she told Today, she couldn't help but cry: "Only a large protrusion and tiny little lips

- no eyes, no nose, no eyelashes."

Not that these features didn't exist, but the baseball-sized sac was hiding it all from

sight.

At Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, 22 doctors, who had been monitoring

Zakary's prenatal diagnosis, took on the challenge to fix his condition post-delivery.

A little sling helped carry the weight of the sac, and helped Zakary breathe and eat

on his own.

After four months in the NICU with the sling, Zakary was old enough to undergo the 9-hour

surgery to remove the growth and repair the gap in the skull.

It is hard to imagine just how Valeka was able to keep a positive outlook through all

of this.Thankfully, the surgery was successful and when Valeka first saw Zakary without the

sac: "I just cried because I didn't know he had

such beautiful long eyelashes and big brown eyes.

They were perfect on both sides."

He was so unrecognizable, but in the best way possible.

A smiling child who somehow knew that what he had lived through was extraordinary!

But even a good change is still a change and according to Valeka it took getting used to

for both mom and baby: "I had come to fall in love with this little

boy with this big ball on his face.

He always played with it.

the first couple of days, he kept swatting at his face, like 'Wait a second, I'm not

seeing it; I'm not feeling it."

What Is a Release In The Golf Swing - Duration: 4:36.

Hello.

I am Brian Fitzgerald The Golf Doctor.

And today I am going to look at what is a release.

I had a question from one of my viewers and I am going to do my best to answer that question

today.

Stay tuned.

[MUSIC]

So as I said earlier.

I have had a question from one of my viewers.

And the question is from grillo1712 and grillo1712 says "I wish one day you can really explain

what releasing the club means".

So it's a really good question.

Because I have been playing golf for such a long period of time.

There is a lot of terms that I use that I probably shouldn't use because not everyone

understands what the are.

So I thought I would start with what release means in the dictionary.

Now the dictionary states "that released is a verb.

Releasing.

To free from confinement, bondage or obligation, pain etc. to let go: to release a prisoner,

to release someone from a debt.

To free from anything that restrains, fastens etc.

To release a catapult."

So that is an interesting one.

To release a catapult.

So probably the easiest definition I can give you in terms of golf.

Is that the word release in a golfing sense means that the hands release the club head.

If I come through with my hands quite stiff I am not releasing the club.

I am holding the club back.

And if I do that my body is engaging my hips, my legs, my shoulders.

And there is power going in.

But there is not much coming out.

So the term release means the releasing of the club head or the releasing of the hands.

They both work.

And I am going to do another video over the next couple of weeks which talks about the

role of what each hand does when we release.

One of my favorite ways to get people to think about releasing the club is to throw one.

So I have got this little junior club here.

And if I was releasing with my body I am not going to throw very accurately.

So I am just going to get up here and I am going to let my hands release the club and

there it goes.

It went relatively straight.

There wasn't a lot of energy.

There wasn't a lot of effort involved.

But my hands releasing the club helps to propel the club forward.

So how do we help that in a golfing sense again?

When I take my set up I actually think the club should release itself.

If I hold the club just with my thumb and pointer finger and I just let the club move.

I can feel the club turning.

Which is really the club releasing.

I don't have to make it release with both hands.

I am gripping fairly lightly.

So the club should really release itself.

If I grip it tightly.

I stop the club from releasing.

I certainly stop the hands from releasing.

So as much as I can.

I just what to let my hands stay light on the club.

And the club releases through the shot.

And as I have said before in another video which I will putt a link to at the top of

the page there.

But really the hands release.

The club turns left.

The club is turning itself.

I am I am not going to try and make that happen.

If I leave my hands quite light it should happen by itself.

So as I said I have got some videos coming out in the next few weeks.

I will discuss the role of the right and the left hand from both the right handed perspective

and the left handed perspective.

So really.

Thank you for the question grillo the release is all about the hands allowing the club to

turn.

So I hope that answers your question.

Thank you for letting me help you with your golf.

How the science community can end sexual harassment | Hope Jahren - Duration: 6:40.

I think as you move to the upper ranks of science—ranks being positions of influence

and access—you see fewer female faces.

And I think the basic reason is the same reason that you don't see a lot of female faces in

Congress or on the Supreme Court or on the directing board of Fortune500 companies.

I think there are fundamental power imbalances between the sexes that play themselves out

in society.

And I think science is just not immune to that—which actually isn't a very controversial

stance if you think about it.

Science is performed by people, and it's subject to all the various foibles that plague the

rest of our social dynamics.

Believe it or not, I don't have very controversial views on the subject.

I always go back to basic questions we ask about women's labor—because working in science

is performing labor, and performing it as a woman is woman's labor.

And one of the very first questions always asked about women's labor is: is it safe?

And so I've spoken about how women laboring in a science are not working in safe spaces

all of the time.

That's just question number one: Are we safe while we're trying to learn?

Are we safe while we're trying to work?

There are a few things about science that are special.

Women live in a world where we are forced to consider our safety at every turn.

We minimize risk while we maximize activity.

It's this constant balancing act that we do.

Now, in science we also go to unfamiliar places and we do things that haven't been done before,

and we work alone in buildings late at night, and we move through groups of people that

are largely dominated by men.

And all of those things present special consideration for the safety of women in spaces.

So I think there are some specific things in science that come into play.

I think step number two, after we ask whether women are safe, is: what are the legal protections

that are in place?

What are the institutional and civil protections in place to defend women's safety within their

work spaces?

I think young women often don't know what the sexual harassment policy is at their university

or is at their place of work.

They may not know the details of Title IX how Title IX protects their educational experience.

I would say that learning those details and considering what recourse might be is a useful

exercise.

It's probably more useful than some kind of seminar that advises you on how to modify

your behavior so that you're less likely to provoke harassing behavior, something like

that.

Learn what the regulations and laws are that protect you, so that if you have to you can

make difficult choices with awareness.

I think that's the responsible advice to give women as they start to labor within these

spaces.

We are more open about sexual harassment and sexual assault than we used to be.

And I think that can be regarded as a victory in its own right.

I think combating isolation around these issues is important, and I think the Internet, for

example, has connected women in ways in which they weren't connected before.

And so it's become a critical tool in allowing for the informal communication that facilitates

behavior that's not formalized—because it's officially, in theory, wrong or condemned,

et cetera.

But I think we have to be very explicit that that's what we're doing, and that combating

isolation is not the same as delivering justice.

And we went through a period where these sexual harassment cases at well-known universities

were very, very much in the news, and all kinds of opinions were coming out on it, and

I became uncomfortable with the idea that somehow just talking about it was this massive

step forward.

Now talking about it is important and I wouldn't have—I'm on the front lines!

I am talking about it, so it's not like I don't believe in that approach, but it felt—I

more and more felt the need to say "Listen, the talking only goes so far."

And if you look at that article the criticism isn't directed at the women who put up with

this stuff, the criticism is not even directed at the men who perpetrated it; the criticism

is directed at our institutions that have laws and regulations in place and have not

demonstrated any commitment towards invoking those regulations.

I see that as a great betrayal of the labor that women are contributing to those institutions.

Why Can't I Stop Eating - Duration: 3:13.

Good morning everyone.

Kerrilee Pietroski here. Eating Psychology Coach and Board Certified

Hypnotherapist. I just wanted to take a moment this morning to address a question that I get frequently. In fact,

I just got this question last night from one of my clients, and that is: "Why is it that whenever I start eating

cookies, Doritos, whatever it is - you fill in the blank - that I can't stop?" And the reasons for this are numerous.

First and foremost, the food industry has all these added ingredients that they put into their food

that stimulates your appetite and suppresses your satiation reading. For example,

I had a client who came in who said she was doing great with

starting this new healthy relationship with food, but once her daughter broke out the Doritos

she couldn't stop. It's because of these added ingredients that they put in the food

that she just wasn't able to get in touch with those feelings of comfortable fullness. they were also stimulating her appetite.

But also, if you're not getting enough pleasure throughout the course of the day,

food is an easy source of that pleasure.

We're pleasure-seeking organisms

And we're meant to seek out pleasure. And when you're eating these processed foods,

they produce a lot of serotonin and dopamine. they fire off those receptors in your brain.

So food is that easy source for that pleasure. So

try to incorporate little bits of pleasure throughout the course of your day to see if you're turning less and less to food

for that pleasure.

But also, just as importantly, if you're eating these so-called

pleasurable foods, and you're not allowing the pleasure because it's "forbidden" on your diet, or it's a so-called "bad food,"

and you're sitting here shaming yourself for eating it. First of all, you're not going to get the pleasure that you're seeking,

but you're going to have to keep eating more and more of it in order to get that pleasure that you're seeking. Because

shame fuels the binge. So, if you are having these foods -

allow yourself to have the pleasure. I'm not saying to use food for pleasure.

That's very different. I'm saying allow pleasure with the food. So,

when you're eating it,

you're eating it slowly and mindfully, so that you are truly enjoying what you're eating while you're eating it.

So many people say they enjoy food.

But they eat it so fast that they don't enjoy it in the first serving. So they're going back for second, third and fourth helpings.

So when you are eating these foods eat them slowly and mindfully. Own the fact that you're eating it and just enjoy it.

The main takeaway from this is, the processed foods do have those added ingredients that will stimulate your

appetite and suppress your satiation reading. If you're not getting enough pleasure throughout the course of the day,

you're going to be seeking out the food to get that serotonin and dopamine production.

And if you're not allowing yourself to enjoy the pleasure of eating it the shame fuels the binge. So allow yourself to enjoy what

you're eating while you're eating it.
