North Korea THREAT: US senator's stern WARNING US era of appeasement is OVER as WW3 LOOMS

NORTH KOREA is facing increasingly tough rhetoric from the United States, with one US senator

warning that under Donald Trump the era of appeasement of Kim Jong-un's regime is over.

North Korea has given Donald Trump their attention, as the President abandons the US appeasement

mentality of the last 30 years, said US Senator.

Lindsey Graham, the senator for South Carolina, said he was "excited about what could happen",

in an interview on Fox News.

He said: "For the last 30 years we've had kind of an appeasement mentality to North

Korea.

"The President has told the North Korean regime that I don't want a war but I will

stop you from building an ICBM with a nuclear weapon on top that could hit the American

homeland.

"If I have to go to war to stop you I will.

In 2017, North Korea held a number of missile tests to check its nuclear capability, and

by the end of year the rogue state said it had weapons capable of reaching the US.

However since January 2018, the North Korean leader has changed his tune and said he's

willing to denuclearise under certain decisions and agreed to meet with the US President.

Graham said: "I think Trump has got their attention, he's convinced China that he's

serious and he's got them to the table - no one else has been able to do it.

North Korea's despotic leader visited Beijing on Sunday, in Kim Jong-un's first foreign

trip since becoming leader in 2011.

He arrived in China in a bullet-proof train known as the 'Kim Jong-un Express', which

was heavily-fortified and packed with bodyguards.

Graham is certain that Donald Trump is the reason for Mr Kim's visit to the Chinese

capital.

Graham said: "Jimmy Carter is upset with Bolton but we've tried it the Jimmy Carter

way for about 30 years.

"Let's try it the Donald Trump/John Bolton way - I'm very excited about what could

happen."

Mr Kim is set to meet President Trump in May.

Japanese parliament passes record U.S. $926 bil. budget bill - Duration: 1:57.

Japanese lawmakers have passed a record budget bill with high social and military spending.

The passage comes amid skepticism of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's ability to push fiscal

reform as he faces a crisis over suspected cronyism.

Ro Aram reports.

The budget bill totaling a record 926 billion U.S. dollars was passed by the upper house

of Japan's parliament on Wednesday.

The budget is for the new fiscal year, which starts on Sunday, and is focused heavily on

social security and military spending.

Outlays for social security will rise to an all-time high of 311 billion dollars, accounting

for a third of the budget plan.

The large welfare spending is to respond to Japan's aging population, which has made it

difficult for the debt-ridden nation to rein in social security expenditures, such as pensions

and medical costs.

Military spending has also been earmarked at a record high of 49 billion dollars, rising

every year since Abe took office in 2012.

Abe has cited threats from North Korea as a need to strengthen his country's military

and has repeatedly called for an amendment to Japan's pacifist Constitution.

Some of the military budget will be used to acquire U.S.-developed missile defense systems.

With the passage of the budget bills, attention is shifting to debate on a mid-year fiscal

reform plan, which will come around June.

That will likely be aimed at trying to rein in Japan's debt that currently stands as the

highest in the industrialized world, amounting to more than twice the size of the country's

economy.

Failure to curb spending has cast doubt on Abe's will to back fiscal reform.

He has already pushed back a fiscal 2020 budget-balancing goal, opting to raise spending on child welfare

and education instead.

China Moves to Destroy US Dollar As They Launch the Gold backed - Duration: 4:57.

China Moves to Destroy US Dollar As They Launch the Gold-backed Petro-Yuan

In a massive move against the global dominance of the U.S. dollar, Chinas highly anticipated

Petro-Yuan has been launched in Shanghai.

With China being the worlds largest consumer of oil, this new currency is an international

game-changer that was a predicted move by China to directly competeand subsequently

devaluethe US dollar.

Analysts call the plan, announced by Beijing in September, a huge move against the dollars

global dominance and reserve currency status.

The Chinese government reportedly plans to allow the crude oil futures contract priced

in yuan to be fully convertible into gold.

As TFTP reported at the time, in addition to serving as a hedging tool for Chinese companies,

the contract will allow for increased use of the yuan in trade settlement.

These contracts will thus enable Chinas trading partners to pay with gold or to convert

yuan into gold without the necessity to keep money in Chinese assets or turn it into US

dollars, according to Bloomberg.

Essentially, the new benchmark will allow exporters, such as Russia, Iran or Venezuela

to avoid US sanctions by trading oil in yuan that is convertible to gold thereby negating

the hegemony of the petrodollar.

On Monday, trading of the new oil futures contracts for September settlement started

on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange at 440.20 yuan ($69.70) per barrel, reports

Chinese daily the South China Morning Post.

Some 18,540 lots have reportedly been sold and purchased so far.

As Bloomberg reports, the Petro-Yuan is a direct challenge to the dollars dominance.

However, whether or not it will have an immediate effect remains to be seen.

Shady Shaher, head of macro strategy at Dubai-based lender Emirates NBD PJSC, says it makes sense

in the long run to look at transactions in yuan because China is a key market, but it

will take years.

Bloomberg Gadfly columnist David Fickling argues that China doesnt have nearly

the influence in the oil market needed to carry out such a coup. On the other hand,

paying in yuan for oil could become part of President Xi Jinpings One Belt, One

Road initiative to develop ties across Eurasia, including the Middle East.

Chinese participation in Saudi Aramcos planned initial public offering could help

sway Saudi opinion toward accepting yuan, which is used in only about 2 percent of global

payments.

Leading economist, Carl Weinberg, managing director at High Frequency Economics, goes

even further, predicting a major paradigm shift.

Weinberg told CNBC last year that China will likely compel Saudi Arabia to abandon

the petrodollar, and instead, begin trading oil in yuana move he says is likely to

precipitate the rest of the oil market following suit and abandoning the U.S. dollar as the

global reserve currency.

At the BRICs summit last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed Russias support

for the Petro-Yuan to specifically challenge the unfairness of the US dollars

global dominance.

Russia shares the BRICS countries concerns over the unfairness of the global financial

and economic architecture, which does not give due regard to the growing weight of the

emerging economies.

We are ready to work together with our partners to promote international financial regulation

reforms and to overcome the excessive domination of the limited number of reserve currencies.

As the respected journalist/geopolitical analyst Pepe Escobar explains: to overcome the

excessive domination of the limited number of reserve currencies is the politest way

of stating what the BRICS have been discussing for years now; how to bypass the US dollar,

as well as the petrodollar.

It is more of a game changer for the US.

As soon as other nations have a real credible alternative to the US dollar, they can dump

dollars and switch to the yuan which can spark a dollar crisis.

If that happens, not only will there be inflation from the tariffs, but also from the flood

of dollars, Ann Lee, Adjunct Professor of Economics and Finance at New York University

and author of the book What the US Can Learn From China, said.

Inspector General Horowitz Announces Review of DOJ and FBI FISA Procedures 'Related

to a Certain U.S. Person'

On Wednesday afternoon, Inspector General Michael Horowitz announced his office will

be reviewing the FBI and DOJ's procedures 'related to a certain U.S. person.'

The Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General said in a statement:

DOJ OIG Announces Initiation of Review

Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz announced today that,

in response to requests from the Attorney General and Members of Congress, the Office

of the Inspector General (OIG) will initiate a review that will examine the Justice Department's

and the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) compliance with legal requirements,

and with applicable DOJ and FBI policies and procedures, in applications filed with the

U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) relating to a certain U.S. person.

As part of this examination, the OIG also will review information that was known to

the DOJ and the FBI at the time the applications were filed from or about an alleged FBI confidential

source.

Additionally, the OIG will review the DOJ's and FBI's relationship and communications

with the alleged source as they relate to the FISC applications.

If circumstances warrant, the OIG will consider including other issues that may arise

during the course of the review.

The Office of Inspector General will also review the DOJ's and FBI's relationship

and communications with the alleged source as they relate to the FISC applications and

by alleged source, they are talking about dossier author Christopher Steele.

In early January, Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Senator Lindsey Graham

(R-SC) sent a letter to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray demanding

they investigate if Christopher Steele lied to federal authorities.

The letter was the first criminal referral from Congress.

The much-anticipated Inspector General report is set to be released soon.

Former Senator Comes Clean on U S Government's UFO Research - Duration: 4:15.

Former Senator Comes Clean on U.S.

Governments UFO Research

BY Brett Tingley

The recent disclosures of the Pentagons UFO research project and the accompanying

videos of allegedly anomalous aerial objects caused quite a stir in the ufology world.

While these releases were a rare opportunity for mainstream news outlets to discuss the

UFO phenomenon in a legitimate light, many veteran researchers urged caution.

In the weeks that followed, many inconsistencies and reasonable explanations for the program

surfaced which cast some doubt on the claims made by Tom DeLonges new To the Stars

Academy research group.

In particular, many critics noted that the ties between former Nevada Senator Harry Reid

who secured the funding and Las Vegas-based UFO enthusiast and aerospace magnate Robert

Bigelow were suspicious, reeing not of the alien or otherworldly, but of the you scratch

my back, Ill scratch yours political favor variety.

To help clear the air and discuss what he knows about these government UFO research

programs (or at least is able to discuss publicly), Reid recently sat down with New York Magazines

Eric Benson for an interview about these programs.

Reid began the interview stating that if were here to talk about little green men

or stuff that you want to look at that was found in New Mexico or something, Im not

interested.

If youre here to talk about science, Im happy to do that. Reid then goes on to

fill in some backstory about how he was put in touch with Bigelow through Nevada journalist

and Coast to Coast AM host George Knapp shortly after Bigelow inherited a small fortune following

his fathers death.

Robert Bigelow

Knapp and Bigelow were both keenly interested in UFO phenomena, Reid says, and began sending

him information about some of the more high-profile UFO incidents and alleged crashes like Roswell.

While Reid remains skeptical about most of these claims, he says the sheer abundance

of UFO reports drew him in.

Mainly what interested me is so many people had seen these strange things in the air,

Reid says, that was interesting to me. It was this interest and allegations that

Americas rivals were putting resources into investigating anomalous aerial phenomena

that Reid says led to securing funding for the now-infamous Pentagon UFO research

program led by Luis Elizondo:

What we decided to do it would be black money, we wouldnt have a big debate on

the Senate floor over it.

They would put in their defense appropriation bill, 11 million bucks.

The purpose of it was to study aerial phenomena.

The money was given, a directive was given to the Pentagon, to put this out to bid, which

they did.

Reid says the majority of the money went to Bigelow, who created a centralized storage

facility for official documentation and reports of sightings, alleged alien artifacts, and

other pieces of the UFO puzzle.

Reid notes that one reason the UFO phenomenon hasnt been seriously discussed in the military

or government is because many career g-men are afraid somebody will think theyre

some kind of a wacko.

The Bigelow Aerospace logo bears an uncanny resemblance to the common grey alien.

Could Bigelow Aerospace be any less discreet with their logo design?

Reid ends the interview by attacking his interview and the press at large, arguing that the media

either doesnt want to or doesnt have the resources to comb through the thousands

of reports and documents the government (and Bigelow) have amassed on UFO phenomena.

Uh, where do I sign up?

Dream Big, Princess – Dear Future Us (Ariel) | Disney - Duration: 1:01.

I've been thinking about future us a lot.

Are we still writing in our journals

about everything?

Are we still super curious about what's next?

I hope we are still spending more time

on water than on land.

Are we still convinced our legs won't hold us

up when we get super nervous?

They always do.

Remember that.

Underneath it all

We're all so brave.

Like, super brave.

And here's the thing.

As we set off into our next

big, bad, bold story,

Whenever you're faced with an adventure

that makes you a little scared?

Dive in!

Use your voice,

even when you think you don't have one.

Go for it!

Because, you know what?

We are adventurers!

We are explorers!

And we'll always have each other's back.

Today is ours.

And so is tomorrow

and the day after that.

All of us, together.

We've got this.

Look out, future.

We're coming for you.

And I've got big dreams for us.
