The first place we'll try to visit in Bangkok is this building behind us.

It's an abandoned skyscraper.

It was left like this after the financial crisis in 1997.

It's called Sathorn Unique Tower.

We read on the internet that their should be a possibility to get up there.

This palace was the residence of the Thai kings until King Bhumibol ascended the throne in 1946.

At the end of 2016 he died and during one year people could go pay their respects to his body.

12 million people did so.

One year later his body was cremated in a specially built crematorium.

This crematorium cost 1 billion bath.

This temporary crematorium is right next to the palace.

He was Bhumibol's oldest son.

The story behind this is that Buddha had to complete 108 positive actions to become perfect.
