Roseanne Barr and John Goodman stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday

to discuss the return of Roseanne.

And unsurprisingly, the discussion quickly turned political. Kimmel stated that Barr was the

original crazy political tweeter, to which the actress responded, "Trump totally stole my act."

She then reflected on her own presidential campaign she ran on Twitter in 2012.

And although she only made it on three state ballots, she accumulated a number of supporters.

She recalled, "I still came in sixth!"

Now, it's no secret that Roseanne Conner, much like the actress behind the role,

is a Trump supporter. Barr shared that similar to the dynamics of the Conner family,

her real-life family also faced a lot of tensions based on differing opinions about the president.

In The Hollywood Reporter's recent cover story about the revival, Barr stated,

"It's the conversation everybody is having. Families are not speaking to each other.

People are still shocked and upset about it. It's the state of our country."

During the late-night interview, Kimmel brought up Barr's past friendship with Hillary Clinton.

And after asking her about calling Clinton a murderer on Twitter, she claimed

that she never said that. BUT then she admitted this...

She added that she had some disagreement with Clinton's foreign policy.

Kimmel stated that he was surprised by Barr's support of Trump given her socially liberal views.

She added, "A lot of us, no matter who we voted for, don't want to see our president fail."

She continued, "You want Pence for the president? Well, then zip that f—in' lip!"

Earlier in the interview, Kimmel also spoke to the actors about Goodman's character

Dan's death on the original series.

When Kimmel asked how Roseanne knows this, she said she knows, because she wrote it.

The actress then promised that her TV husband's death will be addressed

in the upcoming episodes. Barr also discussed her multiple threats to leave the original series,

but explained that she was never REALLY quitting. She added that she has calmed down

since her first time on the show.

She also addressed writers room rumors from the show's past. Kimmel asked Barr,

"In the old days, is it true that you assigned each writer a number,

so you didn't have to remember their names?"

Barr said it was just a joke, but...

SMARTPHONE NEWS !!! Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 plus will soon support ARCore - Duration: 2:25.

ARcore is Google's new augmented reality platform project tango was

deprecated in December and ARcore intends to carry forward where tango had

left off the difference between the two platforms was that tango required

dedicated Hardware while our core doesn't require any additional hardware

for augmented reality ARcores motion tracking uses the camera of a phone to

identify points called features and it tracks how those points move over time

Google states that ARcore determines the position and orientation of the

phone as it moves through space thanks to a combination of the movement of

these points and readings from the phone's inertial sensors however our

core isn't currently supported on the samsung galaxy s 9 and the galaxy s 9

Plus which went on sale last week this is changing soon as a comment from the

Arcore team on the official our core g-dub states support for the s 9 and s 9

plus will be added in the next release which should be released in the coming

weeks this is good news for adoption of the our core platform which looks

certain to see higher adoption levels compared to its predecessor with our

core developers can create a wide range of augmented reality apps ranging from

gaming to shopping for example Google is promoting apps that allow users to place

virtual furniture in real-world surroundings the barrier to our core

adoption is the fact that it's currently enabled on only a few devices but this

is set to change this year ARcore support on the galaxy s 9 and the s 9

plus is only a plus point for the platform

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey says Bitcoin Will be the Number 1 World Currency in 10 Years - Duration: 5:36.

Hello Guys this is LamboLife.

I am a disciplined crypto investor but not a financial adviser so don't take my word

like it's gospel.

You should do your own research after watching this video.

It's your money not mine.

Have some self-respect.

I'm here to deliver a very recent report concerning the world's highest valued digital currency,

bitcoin.

Now, I know it has been a bearish year for the crypto space so we definitely long for

any forms of reassurance that our investments won't go down the drain eventually.

So the question is Will bitcoin really become king of all currencies?

Yes!

According to Silicon Valley veteran Jack Dorsey.

He said and I quote The world ultimately will have a single currency, the internet will

have a single currency.

I personally believe that it will be bitcoin.

unquote.

Dorsey went on to say that the transition would happen probably over ten years, but

it could go faster.

Now I know you might be thinking why should there be any weight to the words of one man

but Jack Dorsey isn't your average programmer.

He's a tech expert that co-founded the giant news and social media platform Twitter and

a mobile payments company called Square.

Dorsey currently has a net worth of 4.2 billion dollars...

John Mcafee got nothing on him... just keeping it real.

Twitter had a lot of problems in the past even after they brought the company public.

As CEO, he was able to grow twitter to the giant that it is today.

Obviously not an easy task.

Dorsey also has a proven track record of success throughout his life and is continuing to expand

his reach especially in the digital world.

In fact, last March 2014, Dorsey's company Square announced that sellers can now accept

bitcoin for payment.

Now, Square allows people to buy and sell bitcoin in most states in the US.

This isn't the first time Dorsey has been vocal about his visions for the crypto space

either.

Last year he said "blockchain is the \lquote next big unlock.

And just last week, Dorsey was part of a $2.5 million seed financing round for Lightning

Labs, a start-up that aims to make bitcoin transactions more cheap, efficient, fast,

and secure.

Dorsey, however, acknowledged that bitcoin "does not have the capabilities right now

to become an effective currency.

It's slow and it's costly, but as more and more people have it, those things go away.

There are newer technologies that build off of blockchain and make it more approachable,"

\par So therefore bitcoin being 10 years old is

still considered to be in its early stages.

There is still so much changes it needs to undergo to become the number one world currency

and Jack Dorsey thinks it will succeed.

My thoughts?

Maybe.

I am very optimistic with bitcoin.

I'm not gonna disclose how much bitcoin I own but let me tell you it's a major part

of my portfolio.

Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency and has the most developers participating with bitcoin

core, which had over 100 contributors from all over the world that participated in the

last major release.

On top of that, there are many groups independently working on ancillary improvements for bitcoin.

But I am not sure bitcoin will be number 1.

There are well over a thousand coins out there many of them trying to improve upon everything

bitcoin lacks.. whether it be speed, cost, security or all of the above.

Although litecoin is one example of a coin who has accepted that bitcoin will be number

1 and is happy to be 2nd place, there are many other founders and developers who don't

share the same view.

Also, bitcoin today is being used as an investment or store of value rather than a currency as

designed by its creator Satoshi Nakamoto.

But perhaps the future will change everything.

Only time will tell which coin willt truly become number one, but bitcoin doesnt need

to be number one.

As long as it will become one of the major cryptocurrency then that's all right with

me coz we could still make a lot of money.

Thank you for watching LamboLife.

Just keeping it real

10 RIDDLES THAT ONLY PEOPLE WITH 300 IQ WILL GET - Duration: 15:24.

That was a clap sync, children.

Yo, what's good everyone?

Welcome back to a brand new Odd2sOut video.

Today, we're going to be answering some riddles that I made up

so don't even try googling these because they're not gonna have em'

A-Anywhere else except for right here,

BABY

Also, I'm recording audio on

this lav mic

this thing right here

and my blue Yeti.

That's a little tip to anyone who's starting out on YouTube,

it never hurts to record things in multiple places

like so, ya'know

Ju-- you-- you-- you want to be safe.

Really,

you-- you-- you just want to make sure that

you-- you can hear everything that you're saying

So throughout this video,

we're gonna be switching between the audio devices.

I forgot what it's called. It says zoom right here

you're not supposed to be talking this close

cuz it's very sensitive two pushes of air

[blows into mic]

heh

[blowing intensifies]

What are we talking about?

We're doing riddles!

Now, normally riddle videos give you like 15 seconds

to think about the answer, but here,

we're just gonna give you two seconds

and you can pause the video and think about

The answer,

so that way we're not really wasting anyone's time here.

Alright

first riddle

Get some...

Get some mood lighting in here

[on screen]

If you have all these mics close together,

do you get...

like feedback?

Do you get a loop?

I don't even...

I don't know how... cameras work...

Have you figured it out?

The answer is Logan Paul!

These are the types of riddles that we're doing!

This next riddle was written by TheAnimatedDrawings

Credit to him.

This is a good riddle that

I was like can I use that?

And he said yeah, and so

[on screen]

Did you think about it?

The answer is...

Kermit the Frog!

cuz he's... cuz he's...

controlled by the hand of man.

Thank you, TheAnimatedDrawings,

for that wonderful riddle.

How are you guys doing so far?

You getting all these riddles right?

Alright,

well this next one's a pretty tough one.

[on screen]

And the answer is...

[Playing in video, James lip syncing] Number 15,

[Playing in video, James lip syncing] Burger King foot lettuce

[Playing in video, James lip syncing] The last thing you'd want in your Burger King burger

[Playing in video, James lip syncing] is someone's foot fungus...

[on screen]

It's Logan Paul.

Did you get that one?

How-- how are you guys doing with the thing?

This next one,

I'm gonna have to make a phone call.

Hey Siri,

[iPhone tone]

Call Faith

[Siri] Calling Faith

Faith!

Can you like draw something real quick,

Faith: Okay...

James: And then--

Faith: --Wait, I need a paper and a pencil

James: Yeah, you do need those

Hey if you're watching this at home,

feel free to also try in on this riddle

Faith: Am I being recorded or anything?

- No.

James: [laughs]

- Do you have a piece of paper, Faith?

- Yea, yea

- Okay.

Get comfortable.

[on screen]

Faith: Is this like...

going to form a picture or something?

- Uhh, no

James: It's a very...

What's the opposite of normie?

It's a very...

Ironic meme.

And if you don't know what it's referencing,

then you're just not gonna get it.

Faith: Wait, so you wrote this riddle

- Oh yeah, I wrote this riddle

- Oh, I thought this was like, a real riddle.

James: No...

No.

Faith: An amature riddle, m'kay

James: Okay.

[laughs]

Faith: Okay, [laughs]

Okay, I'll send you a picture

- Um yea, I'm waiting

Faith: Okay, I sent it to you,

I also added a question mark

- Oh

James: You're pretty close...

"Start with a line up right." What one was that?

- That's the first line, the right line

Yeah, okay, all right, then - standing lines smaller to the right all right

I get that underneath are two lines again equal in size. Yeah, you got that but then this part

I don't think you were paying attention

Lastly two final lines a single on its side

No see what you did that and I don't know if you'll even get the joke

It's not funny do you want me to even attempt to describe what it's referencing?

Okay

Okay, everyone get comfortable back in the day there was this comic called

Control-alt-delete, and it was about these two guys who play video games, and it was like pretty og comic

You know it's been around for a long time and the whole premise of the comic was about these two guys

And they're having jokes and blah blah blah, but then one day out of the blue

He made a comic and it was simply called loss and in the comic one of the characters

He like you see him rushing through a hospital. He like talks to a doctor and then in the very last panel

He sees his wife having a miscarriage normally the comic is supposed to be humorous and about video games

But then this just out of nowhere was about a miscarriage and so people memed it a lot

They they started making fun of it and the Creator really hated this meme so

People just started making more memes of it now. What does this have to do with lines?

you might ask people have memed it so much to where they just draw simple lines and

People still get the meme

Is that isn't it funny was that a good riddle faith?

Thank you well, that's that's good because we still have five more riddles not with you faith want to hang up on you but

Okay, this is that good all right? Okay? Thank you. All right bye faith

Then two standing lines smaller to the right now a lot of people did two standing lines

Just like the same size as this and I can see the confusion

But what I meant was that it would be the same size

And then this small it would be this the second one was the smaller one because that's how the mean goes

I'm not really a good artist

I can only draw stick figures so just bear with my artistic skills, so I posted this riddle on Twitter

Just to make sure that people would get it without me having to give them hints or any

And people did get it so it is a good riddle but a lot of people

Like Ivan just just put in an S. Like what part of the riddle did I describe an S?

It's not you didn't even read it, but then but then Jared was like yeah

I get you I get what you're trying to do James you see how this one is smaller because that's just how it how the

Meme is it has to be smaller this one right here, okay?

underneath are two lines again equal in size

And is that like what why did you make them sideways and then lastly two final lines a single on its side?

And then you put it over on this side like what I didn't say to the left

Idiot look they drew that I don't know what they were going for but then then they like

Finished the drawing and they made them little pants and then they gave him a monocle. Oh

sir Pantaloon

You know it I changed my answer. We've been talking about this riddle for too long now. Let's just get to something else

What is he that builds stronger than either the Mason the shipwright or the carpenter?

The answer to that was Hamlet act 5 scene 1 line 39 to 40

Was a weird sound this next one was written by my friend Maz

But I went in and I changed it and I also made it rhyme

I guess he gave me the idea for this riddle, but then I made it better

So thank you Maz for inspiring me to make this riddle liard by the masses everyone harasses

I straighten up my suit suppressing the growls, but expressing the animal within

What am I okay? I'm just going to say it again

Just one more time in case you didn't catch it

leered by the masses

Everyone harasses, I straighten up my suit

suppressing the growls, but expressing the animal within

What am I oh?

Can't show that on youtube the answer is a furry. That's what it is

Straighten up my suit get it like you can't what do I have the safe search turned on no

I don't I did not have the safe search on it's still there

Okay, whoa where were we number eight?

How are you guys doing on the riddles leave your riddles in the comment box down below and the SUBSCRIBE bar I?

Incoherently spout stupidity all about a government conspiracy wrapped in a mystery

I've looked all over Google and here's what I observe the question that we all have where is the curve?

Who's asking the questions now

me

I've always been asking them now the answer to that riddle was a flat earther part of me wants to give them the benefit of

The doubt and just be like no this is all an elaborate roll

You don't actually think that do you well what if this is real?

What if NASA and everyone is lying to me because to be fair I've never seen earth from outer space

I've never I

Don't go outside that much riddle number nine some people said that this riddle was too easy

So here is a revised version the hard mode version of this riddle

I've caught you off guard with this sexy trap card this duel is going just as planned

With two more cards in my hand so let me just say the riddle again. I've caught you off guard

With this pot trap card this duel is going just as planned

With two more cards in my hand

So the answer is pot of greed

It's a it's a meme in this show yugioh

There's this card called pot of greed and basically all it does is makes you draw two cards

Now since yugioh is a kid show they have to react splain the rules every

Time they play a card and also since it's the kid show they are they're always playing cards

And they need to keep drawing new cards

so they play pot of greed quite a bit in the show every time they play it they say you just

activated my trap card pot of greed this card allows me to draw two new cards and place them in my hand a

Lot of adults who watched yugioh noticed that they say that every time

And have meand it and it's just funny. I play the pot pot of greed

Seto Kaiba was so cool. He's the coolest one. He's my favorite character alright guys. I hope you're doing well with these riddles

There's only one more riddle left

So you know that's let's try and make this one count guys if you haven't gotten a single one

Let's let's really pick up the pace for this riddle

Because this one is pretty long oh right so here

We go a boy named rice once hugged me twice and wanted to start some drama. I laughed replying no

Thank you, Brian

I do not need bad karma cuz youtubers love the trauma a fabricated drama

Instead of making content for you all they see is the revenue

making their fans pick teams while both sides

Laugh behind the scenes and so it echoed through the universe a truth as old as time was

That youtubers make up drama for views well except for UI Debs

Logan Paul the answers, Logan Paul, so those are my 10 riddles

Tell me how many you got and if you said you got 10? You're wrong and

Don't lie

And rice gum if you heard that last part. I just want to say that I

Want to hug you so?

Dry am I gonna have an ending for this channel. Do I say wear your seat belt in my the end of my videos

No, I do not say wear your seat belt

I mean like when YouTube videos take too long to get to the point $40 and ones $5

But you really really like the $40 shirt

And you hate the $5 one you should get the $40 shirt cuz you'll end up wearing it more often

So you get more use out of it economics

There's a term used to measure some of the happiness called

Give you Collins called utils I used to be really good at the hairy the moth one. Let's see if I still got it

Could be a fable

Some reason everybody thinks that butterflies are better than moths where you make children's books about butterflies we use them as okay

Why did you pause it?

Why do that was my video dude but soon you'll turn into a beautiful butterfly?

And go we're in fields frolic stop pausing it I wonder if I can still do the ASMR one

Hopefully, it's funny. Let's just let's hope it's hope it's funny I

Think that my videos for the most part have greatly improved in quality from the past year

Let's watch a clip of my first YouTube

Well the clip so you know those looks should make an elementary school, so you know those books you make in elementary school

I'm not really a good artist

I can only draw stick figures so just bear with my artistic skills. I was 18 when I made that video

I was legally old enough to

Get married, so I'm always trying to improve the quality of my videos. I've gotten a better microphone

I've learned a little out my audio. I like to think my drawings are more lively and move more now

That is disgusting. There's like no background. This is a bad video

I'm not saying the reaction is a bad video

I'm saying this is my video and the corner is a bad video how to stop lip smacking, so I couldn't find anything

Stop interrupting me. Oh no I rewound it oh?

That was my old college dorm

What am I doing right now? Am I reacting?

To my own video you didn't tell me about it

Did you think I was gonna find out?

Yeah, okay. I don't know how to end this video, so I just started watching youtube videos so again. Thanks for watching

Let me know if you want to see more riddle videos cuz I had a lot of fun making them

I don't have a catchphrase for my second channel. I haven't I don't have that part yet, so like

Awkward goodbyes like you still watching as out mmm leave get out of here subbscribe to mcghast1

What Trump Just Did Will Go Down In History As Day USA Was Saved From Wall Street's Greed - Duration: 3:10.

What Trump Just Did Will Go Down In History As Day USA Was Saved From Wall Street's

Greed It all started with the now disgraced CEO

of GE Jack Welch.

He started the offshoring boom to line his pockets and those of other large shareholders.

Other companies quickly followed suit.

Our politicians were bought off and America plunged into a series of mini-recessions that

some workers were never able to get out of.

Jack and the others who sold America out came up with ever desperate corporate double speak

to try to hide what they were really doing.

Wall Street and the media elites ate it up and America was inundated with catchphrases

to hide the lie.

But we weren't stupid – we saw the only new jobs available at Burger King and watched

in horror as they added insult to injury and started importing cheaper foreign workers

they made us train.

Wealth inequality grew to dangerous levels (for a healthy democracy) and America became

more 3rd world – the really rich and everyone else – than first world. Then the greedy

geniuses let China into the WTO.

They saw more dollar signs they could skim from hiring basically slave labor in China.

Corporate profits took off while wages went south.

The American worker never recovered.

But these morons also allowed China to blackmail them – access to slave labor for your intellectual

property. The clowns in charge didn't see a problem with this and in a blink of an eye

(18 years), China went from a backwater militarily and economically to a real rival to America's

leadership.

In the process, they saddled this country with trillions in debt while they laughed

all the way to the bank.

It was the single biggest mistake in the history of the world and thankfully Trump just ended

it.

Instead of thanking him for saving America, Wall Street and the media elites are whining

"the sky is falling… the sky is falling."

The sky is not falling, this is not a catastrophe unless you are China or a greedy corporate

CEO.

From the Daily Caller:

The Trump administration will impose about $60 billion in new trade penalties against

China, the first targeted trade measures aimed directly at Chinese "economic aggression."

"We have a tremendous intellectual property theft situation going on," President Donald

Trump said Thursday, revealing that he has spoken with Chinese leadership about this

issue and the "out of control" trade deficit.

The U.S. is preparing to take punitive action against China to the tune of tens of billions

of dollars.

"This is just a fraction of what we're talking about," the president added, announcing

that he has asked China to take steps to reduce the trade deficit by $100 billion or more.

Trump said the U.S. is having "very large negotiations" with China on trade.

It's about time.

America is officially back – the real America – not Wall Street and it's glorious.

How will hawk John Bolton affect foreign policy? - Duration: 8:37.

JUDY WOODRUFF: We return to the most recent shakeup by President Trump of his national

security leadership.

What change will John Bolton bring to the job of national security adviser?

For that, we get two views.

Nancy McEldowney was a career Foreign Service officer and ambassador.

to Bulgaria.

She served on the National Security Council staff during the Clinton administration and

is now director of Georgetown University's Master of Science in Foreign Service Program.

And Matthew Kroenig worked for the office of the secretary of defense during the Bush

and Obama years, and at the CIA.

He is now a professor of government at Georgetown University.

JUDY WOODRUFF: And we welcome both of you to the "NewsHour."

Nancy McEldowney, to you first.

What do you think of the choice of John Bolton for this job?

NANCY MCELDOWNEY, Georgetown University: I think John Bolton is a spectacularly bad choice

for this job.

He is a hard-line nationalist.

He is someone with disdain for diplomacy.

He has -- is almost a knee-jerk advocate for war.

Whatever problem you look at, from North Korea, to Iran, even to Russia, he's talked about

war against all of these countries.

And when you look at a White House that is already leaning in a very extreme direction,

with a president who seems inclined to make decisions that isolate the United States even

further, John Bolton is going to take us in the wrong direction.

JUDY WOODRUFF: Matthew Kroenig, what is your take on John Bolton?

MATTHEW KROENIG, Georgetown University: Well, first, I would like to thank H.R. McMaster

for his service to the country.

I think he was a very good public servant and national security adviser.

And I think Bolton will be a very good national security adviser for President Trump.

He has high-level experience at the State Department and at the U.N.

He understands the national security challenges facing the country as well as anyone else.

He has a good relationship with the president, it seems, which is essential to be successful

in this job.

And he has good ties with the Republican establishment, and may present an opportunity to heal some

of the rifts in the party since the election, maybe bring in more traditional foreign policy

hands into the process.

So it's not getting the attention of some of the more negative countries -- excuse me

-- negative coverage, but many Republican foreign policy experts have been celebrating

this appointment in the past 24 hours.

JUDY WOODRUFF: So, it sounds like, Nancy McEldowney, the two of you coming from very different

places.

NANCY MCELDOWNEY: Yes.

JUDY WOODRUFF: How -- why do you believe it's so bad, given what Matthew was just saying

how he really is more in the mainstream than people recognize?

NANCY MCELDOWNEY: Yes, actually, I think he is so far from the mainstream, and I disagree

both on policy, but also on personality.

We have seen Bolton for years advocate the most extreme, the most militaristic positions

possible, a preemptive strike against North Korea, a preemptive strike against Iran, regime

change in both countries.

Those are not things that are responsible policy courses for our country to look at.

Secondly, his personality.

We can come back to this, but the role of the national security adviser is someone who

is supposed to bring all policy options to the table.

That is not John Bolton.

He is very argumentative, vindictive with those who disagree with him.

And the reason he was never confirmed as Bush's nominee to be the U.S. ambassador to the U.N.

was because of Republican opposition.

JUDY WOODRUFF: Well, Matthew Kroenig, let's divide those in two.

Let's start with what Nancy McEldowney is describing as someone who has advocated for

a more militaristic approach, a more aggressive approach abroad.

But you're saying that's the right approach right now for this country?

MATTHEW KROENIG: The use of force has been an important tool of international diplomacy

going back to the days of Thucydides.

And a credible threat of military force often contributes to peace, contributes to successful

diplomacy.

There's a bipartisan consensus in the United States that the United States needs to keep

the military option on the table for Iran and for North Korea.

So I think it's good that we have a national security adviser who's willing to consider

all options to advance U.S. national security interests.

When it comes to his role as national security adviser, I think there are two models historically.

One is the honest broker model that Brent Scowcroft really kind of perfected of bringing

all options to the president.

But there's a second successful model too.

And that is more the strategist role that Henry Kissinger played.

And I suspect that Bolton will be a little bit more in the strategist role of having

strong opinions.

And I think which one works best really depends on the personalities involved and depends

on the needs of the president.

So I think he can be successful in this role.

JUDY WOODRUFF: What about the idea, Nancy McEldowney, that he's going to have strong

opinions and that's what's needed right now?

NANCY MCELDOWNEY: Well, there's no question that he's going to have strong opinions.

And I'm not advocating for people not to express their opinion.

But having worked on the National Security Council, the role of the person who whispers

in the ear of the president, who is the most intimate adviser when the president is trying

to deliberate, we know the direction that Bolton is going to go in.

And we don't have to speculate about what he's going to do in the future, because we

have seen what he's done in the past.

He was an ardent advocate for the Iraq War.

He still claims that it was a brilliant decision.

So I think people need to be very worried about the policy choices this national security

adviser is going to advocate for.

JUDY WOODRUFF: Matthew Kroenig, what about that?

MATTHEW KROENIG: Well, you know, I'm a political scientist by training.

There's some good political science research on how advisers influence decisions of presidents.

And what political scientists have found is that actually advisers are most influential

when they argue against type.

So that's why Colin Powell was so central to debates over the Iraq War.

People saw him as a cautious voice within the Bush administration.

So when he was even willing to advocate for the war, people took notice.

JUDY WOODRUFF: Well, what are you saying that means?

(CROSSTALK)

JUDY WOODRUFF: Go ahead.

Yes, what are you saying that means?

MATTHEW KROENIG: What that means for Bolton is, he's known for having tough views, so

I think when he argues for these tough-minded policies, that's not going to come as a surprise.

I think he will be most influential when he argues for restraint.

When even Bolton argues for restraint, that's when Trump is going to take notice.

JUDY WOODRUFF: I want to ask both of you, finally, of course, it's John Bolton, national

security adviser, but there is going to be a new secretary of state.

Everybody assumes Mike Pompeo gets confirmed.

What do you see in terms of how the two of them work together, Nancy McEldowney?

NANCY MCELDOWNEY: It's clear to me that what Donald Trump is doing is assembling a war

cabinet.

He's got Pompeo, who is very much of a hawk, who has made a number of controversial statements

while he was a member of Congress, and now coming in with a very sort of right-leaning,

militaristic approach, Bolton carrying the same message from the NSC.

And I think, with those two taken together, we are in for a very bumpy ride, even though

we have very seniors of our military, from the secretary of defense, the chairman of

the Joint Chiefs, advocating in favor of a different approach.

JUDY WOODRUFF: Matthew Kroenig, a war cabinet likely to take military action?

MATTHEW KROENIG: Well, part of the description there was a right-leaning cabinet.

And, yes, it is a right-leaning cabinet.

There was an election in the country and the Republicans won, and so there are Republican

officials.

You know, the Iran nuclear deal has been mentioned as one of the controversial issues that Pompeo

and Bolton don't support, but let's remember the Iran nuclear deal was incredibly controversial.

There was bipartisan opposition.

Every Republican in Congress and some Democrats opposed it.

It was only the Obama administration and their supporters who supported it.

So the idea that the Trump administration is taking another look at this makes a lot

of sense.

So, again, controversial, it seems, in some circles, but many conservative foreign policy

experts I have talked to is excited about this Cabinet, one of the -- the maybe strongest

national security cabinets we have had in some time.

JUDY WOODRUFF: We're going to watch it all unfold.

Matthew Kroenig, Nancy McEldowney, we thank you both.

NANCY MCELDOWNEY: Thank you.
