It's happy Easter Easter

2018 I

Am so filthy dirty right now look at all his white stuff in my hair from the flip/remodel house. I hung drywall today!!

Home that I'm working on. I really got down and dirty. I hung my first wall today

did drywall from

the measurements to

Cut in it with blade to drilling them into the walls like all that from A to Z

So yeah, I just been getting down and dirty working. I love the hands-on being involved part of it

Sorry guys I had

To go into a shower. I mean, I was like really literally just messy dirty. I felt so nasty, so

Here's the thing

When you are following your dream and your passion in that moment you feel great about everything that you're doing everything. That's going on

Now if you have a dirty passion like mine

We're flipping homes. You're gonna feel very dirty and nasty afterwards. I don't care. How great you feel about?

You know your dream and your passion when you're doing it, so

that being said

There's there's the good the bad of everything right, but regardless

chase your dreams follow your

heart's passions and desires

I'm really happy right now that you know I own this home flat out

I own anybody anybody any money anything on it

All my life, I've wanted to

You know be involved in real estate

And I'm just you know really blessed and really happy

That I'm able to follow my passion that I've been able to fund my dreams

My goals my passion and that I'm putting my own

You know sweat equity into this into this property like you know I'm literally loving

every moment of this that I get to

You know be there to

Just put my hands on it watch it grow

And see my vision come to light

So everybody has that thing that's their passion their goal their their dreams yours is not gonna be the same on mine

But what is mine, but whatever it is?

You know whatever that thing is that you know if you're doing it

It doesn't matter if anything else around you is falling apart. You have that peace in that place

You know what I'm saying because don't get me wrong like things

Could be falling apart in do fall apart of my life all the time. I'm quite often

But I have found that you know when I'm doing what I want to do when I'm following my passion my dreams my goals

That stuff doesn't really even faze me you know what I'm saying

I found my place of peace, and I don't mean necessarily a physical place

You know what I'm saying, but you have to find a place of peace

Where you and your when you're in a place in life that you are loving where you are and you're loving what you're doing

Let me tell you something anything can come at you and come your way you go on

Just keep it keep you know take a lickin and keep on tickin

You know how the saying goes and it really don't faze you like I realize things doesn't bother me things

Don't bother me as much as they used to bother me. You know what I'm saying

Life happens, but you have in the middle of life you get one life guys in the middle of life

You have to make a decision you gonna live it

or

You're just gonna be in it. You know what I'm saying

So don't just be in this life

not chasing your dreams following your goals I

I used to think that I didn't have what it what it took?

I used to think I didn't have the tools the resources. I would never you know from the time

I was a child many years

I used to go to people's homes with my mom my mom used to be like so

embarrassed because I always would be like you know like I want to walk through their home and go to so I always say I

Have to I have to go to the bathroom, and I would tell my mom you know

I don't really have to go to the bathroom, but I want to see their bathroom

and my mom never understood it she's like I wish you would stop doing that every time we go to somebody's house you know but

I would walk to people's home. Just as a child and I would just

Remodel their home in my mind visually

Now walk through and I would think oh

This was my home like I would move this wall and I was you know flip this around and just to spend a third

So you know as a child it was always in me

I didn't know it then didn't know what it was my mother didn't know didn't know what it was you know what I'm saying but

Now it's like I get to live that dream. You know what I'm saying. I have my own

Purchasing my own

You know properties

and

just watching them come from like I'm turning this particular one from I took it to where was nothing but a shell and

Visually you know I visualized how I wanted it and to see that coming to life and then knowing that

Not only did I play a part in it mentally and visually but hands-on?

you know I

First this project and watch it girl watched it grow and you know into what it is

I love you know just talking about it. I love when people come and I could share with other minds

Who are you know like you have the same thought and visual process that I had like I can be like

Oh, well, you know this is what I'm doing with this this data third and never like oh, yeah

I see what you're saying. I love that. Oh yeah, yeah, you're gonna flip this room, so it's gonna be completely flip-flop

Oh, and you're gonna take this room and build a closet here

Or do you know and I just loved it like it excites me and when I'm working in the home

I don't feel like I'm working guys

It's how you know you find your passion you know

I just feel so at peace and when everybody else is ready to call it a day and shut down

I'm like are you guys kidding me like? I'm just getting started. You know what I'm saying so I

Just wanted to share that with you guys like there was a time when I never thought

I

Would get to that place where I could follow um pursue my dreams and goals, but you have everything that you need

I promise you you do and I don't know what your belief is but my belief is I do believe in God and my belief

Is once you make the first move once you start working?

And moving in the direction that you want to be in in the direction that you want to go in

God is going to move

But you've got to take that first step guys you have got to take that first step

You've got to have faith in yourself. You got to have faith in your situation. You got to have faith in your God

And that's that you gotta have faith in God you gotta have faith in you

You just gotta move all right guys. I'm living this um. I promise you you can't go wrong just

believing and taking that step

It'll be so worth it. I can't I can't describe it to you, but you you have to feel it. You have to know it

And you'll know it you will know it when you have reached that place. It is indescribable

so I just want to share with you guys what I've been doing and

Give you guys a sneak peek so if you like this video, I want to ask that you would

like this video and give it a thumbs up and

subscribe

To this channel, I can't wait to show you guys the end result of this home

I just gave you a little sneak peek today, but

Like I said, I just want you I see it visually I want you guys to see it physically

So I really can't wait to share it with you guys, but it's coming

Yeah, so on the other side of that

You know like I mentioned. I have so many things that my hands are in I do have a work from home

online marketing company that I work for and

You know that company has helped me to realize how important it is to

Just be dedicated to things that you know you own

You know what I mean you. I'm an entrepreneur got the best spirit is in me. That's just what I am

So

It's that the online marketing business has taught me to be

Dedicated to be motivated to be a go-getter to be committed, and that's helped me to also pursue

my other goals and dreams and

You know it's helped me to fund those things as well, so

If online marketing is something that you're looking to get into

You know that's definitely Avenue that I can assist you with

So that you can use that as one of your your avenues to fund your dreams, and your goals or whatever that may be

so if you're looking for additional income

or you're looking to be an entrepreneur I can also help you with that opportunity as well if you want to learn things about my

Things that I've learned the do's and don'ts from

Flipping properties because I'm learning you know

then

Ask me what have I learned what mistakes have I learned on my first flip

I don't have a problem teaching other people so they can learn from my mistakes

Just like I don't have issue teaching others in online marketing to be successful as well, but so either way

Reach out to me if you have any questions

WHY YOU NEVER ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS (AND HOW TO CHANGE THAT) - Duration: 5:06.

WHY YOU NEVER ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS (AND HOW TO CHANGE THAT)

BY MARK DENICOLA

Setting goals is easy. Weve all set hundreds, if not thousands of them, over the course

of our life. But why is it that so few of the goals that we set ever become a reality?

One of the most commonly credited reasons is the sheer busyness of our daily life. We

claim that if we had more free time, wed undoubtedly spend that time actualizing our

dreams. But when life provides us with some of that seemingly precious resource, which

Im a firm believer happens to all of us far more often than we are willing to admit,

we instead opt to use it otherwise.

Another commonly recognized reason, that many prominent personal development figures have

made a fair living off of correcting, is the type of goals that we set. Terms like actionable

steps and reward-based models are thrown around as essential to pretty well

anything were serious about accomplishing. But Ive seen far too many properly concocted

goals still wither away for me to believe that to be the true underlying issue.

Here is my take on the real reason why so many of the goals we set in the modern world

struggle to become a reality in both video (1:22 runtime) and written (2-3 minute read)

form:

Plain and simple, to me, the main problem lies not in the goals that we set, but instead

in the mindset we have towards how quickly or easily they are supposed to become a reality.

We live in a world that not only expects, but DEMANDS things instantaneously. Dont

believe me? Take a second to honestly rate on a scale from 1-10 how quick you are to

get frustrated or impatient with the following things:

A slow internet connection Someone who cuts you off in traffic

The time between when your plane lands and when you can exit the plane

Ads before or during a YouTube video Slow service at a restaurant

When you take a step back, all of the above mentioned experiences truly are first world

problems, yet we complain about them as if they carry the capacity to end our lives if

not corrected.

Need further proof? Think of the way that you typically consume social media. Do you

not realize that things such as snaps and stories are as short as they are not because

of technological limitations but instead because thats how small our attention span has

become. We need things to captivate or provide us with something of value within seconds

or theyve lost us in favour of the next available thing a simple tap or scroll unlocks.

Its this mentality that more and more of us are subconsciously adopting into our goals

and work ethic.

You see, were setting goals like we always have, but rather than valuing and putting

into practice traits like patience, persistence, hard work, and belief -all of which the greatest

achievers in this world embodied relentlessly -were expecting success in 15 seconds or

less.

So if you really want that killer body, that successful business, or to spend that

entire year abroad, stop expecting it to happen as easily as it may have for that one stupid

kid you see all over YouTube, or for that one lucky woman on the news, and instead FOR

ONCE give your goal the chance it was hoping for when you first set it.

FBI DROPS NUKE ON BILL AND HILLARY – THIS IS IT - Duration: 13:05.

FBI DROPS NUKE ON BILL AND HILLARY – THIS IS IT

JUST IN: Bill and Hillary Clinton are in full panic mode this week after the FBI finally

made it's move against them.

Daily Vine reported that the FBI has investigative journalist Micheal Smith to provide them with

details about multiple allegations of mishandling millions of dollars contributed to the Clinton

Foundation by the Aussie government.

Specifically, the materials Smith has been asked to hand over focus on a 2006 memorandum

of understanding between the Australian government and the Clinton Foundation's Clinton HIV/AIDs

Initiative (CHAI).

Smith has alleged that the foundation received three different financial advantages from

the Australian Taxpayers totaling $40 million dollars, all of which was dishonestly obtained

by via of deception as a result of actions by Bill Clinton and Downer.

The FBI recently interviewed William Campbell, a former FBI informant who spent more than

six years undercover gathering information about the Russian energy and uranium market.

His lawyer, Victoria Toensing, just wrote an open letter slamming Democrats for a memo

they wrote condemning Campbell.

She said that the memo falsely claimed that her client's credibility was at issue with

the Justice Department because "he was not called as a witness for the corruption cases."

"First, there was no trial because the Baltimore U.S. Attorneys' office mishandled the case,"

Toensing noted.

"They filed a Complaint without ever talking with Mr. Campbell.

After interviewing him, they filed an Indictment describing him as a "victim," a term he

had never used and one that is legally inept to a person working undercover.

All the defendants pleaded guilty."

She also slammed The Hill for the story they published about this.

"I am appalled that The Hill would publish a defamatory story about my client without

ever contacting him or his lawyer, " said Toensing.

"The article was based solely on Democratic sources and a Democratic memo.

Republicans' comments were cited only in stale, months-old statements indicating there

was evidence of a Clinton connection to the Russian purchase of Uranium One.

As such, they were included to establish a context that such evidence was not provided

by my client.

That is false.

The publication of this false and misleading story was done purposefully to malign and

discredit him.

I demand a retraction."

This all makes it clear that the Clintons are firmly in the FBI's crosshairs, and

it's only a matter of time before they finally go down.

Stopping the Panic of 1907 | History is Our Story | J.P. Morgan - Duration: 3:48.

What was J. Pierpont Morgan's role in stopping the Panic of 1907,

and how did it shape the US economy?

In the fall of 1907, the world was on the verge of economic collapse.

U.S. and international markets had been wildly unsettled for months.

Six months earlier, the American stock market had crashed, despite record corporate earnings,

and stocks also plummeted on several foreign exchanges.

When stock prices plunged again in the summer the estimated loss was $1 billion.

Surprising as it may seem, the U.S. had no central bank to deal with the financial crisis, and no money in reserve.

As panic increased, customers rushed to their banks to withdraw whatever money remained.

People sat overnight in camp chairs, bringing food and waiting for the banks to open in the morning.

Some even earned up to $10 a day holding places in line.

Banks took unconventional measures to deal with the crisis

tellers slowly counted out money to limit withdrawals

and some banks prominently displayed piles of cash in order to reassure worried customers.

To stem the panic, it was critical that someone with influence and insight come to the rescue.

And the person who stepped in was J. Pierpont Morgan.

At the time, Morgan's firm, J.P. Morgan & Co., was the country's preeminent private bank.

More importantly, Morgan had experience with similar financial crises,

having rescued the U.S. Treasury during the Panic of 1893.

He had become the lender of last resort.

So in October 1907, the semi-retired Morgan called together New York's leading bankers

to his library on East 36th Street in midtown Manhattan.

For two weeks, he led a team raising capital for the failing markets,

contributing large sums of his own money, and functioning as the country's de facto central bank.

Although the actual panic lasted only a few weeks, its aftermath brought on

an economic decline that destroyed banks and other businesses and created mass unemployment.

Financial experts consider Morgan's impressive handling of the Panic as the work of a bold financier

who clearly understood the big picture and took decisive action.

In 1908, Congress passed a Currency Act,

allowing banks to form reserve associations that could issue money, temporarily, in economic emergencies.

And, in 1913, shortly after Morgan's death, the U.S. established its

much-needed central bank: the Federal Reserve.

HiClip: Formations in Context (Or, What is It?) - Duration: 0:45.

Some HiRISE images show strange-looking formations.

Sometimes it helps to look at Context Camera images

to understand the circumstances of a scene

which here shows an impact crater with a central peak

and a collapse depression with concentric troughs just north of that peak.

Our picture is a close-up of one of those troughs

along with channels draining into the depression.

On the floor of the trough is some grooved material

that we typically see in middle latitude regions where there has been glacial flow.

These depressions with concentric troughs exist

elsewhere on Mars, and their origins remain a matter of debate.

Gionee S11 Lite: Unboxing And Review - Duration: 11:03.

Hi everyone, my name is Yemi Kuti and I am here to unbox and review the Gionee S11 Lite!

So Gionee might not be the most popular phone brand especially in the midst of bigger brands

such as Samsung and Apple but there is a saying that goes, 'it is better to be worth knowing

than to be popular', so here we are here to confirm if the Gionee S11 Lite is worth

knowing or not!

Join me on this exciting adventure!

So as you probably would know, the number 11 seems to be a special number, not only

is it a number used to depict new beginnings but also there must be a special reason why

there has to be eleven players on the field in sports such as soccer, american football,

cricket and the like.

So let's quickly find out if the S11 Lite is goals!

UNBOXING So forward ever, backward never..let's go

on to unbox the Gionee S11 Lite!

So you can tell from the excitement on my face I really love to unbox items, I mean

phones, presents, games, you name it...show me where to sign up to be a professional unboxing

specialist and trust me I will pay you in cash or in kind.

So here we have it ladies and gentlemen, the Gionee S11 Lite!

First impressions they say are the most lasting and for me this seems to be love at first

sight...but the thing about life, you know, one day you meet somebody and the person seems

to be the best thing since sliced bread and after you get to know the person, you find

out they are not as cool as they seemed to be.

So I'm not going to jump into any conclusions just yet until we fully review this phone.

Let's find out what else we have in the box.

So here we have of course the warranty card, you also have the user manual.

The good folks at Gionee were also kind enough to provide us with a case in which you can

put your phone.

We have, yes, the charger and the USB cord and a lovely pair of headphones.

The Gionee S11 Lite comes in a screen size of a huge 5.7 inches.

I know what you must be thinking: 'The bigger they come, the harder they fall right?'...but

little worries, the Gionee S11 Lite also comes in Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect your

screen from scratches or cracks.

So like a goldfish in a fishbowl, let's go on to inspect the Gionee S11 Lite all around.

So on the right hand side we have the volume rockers and the power button.

On the left hand side we have the slot where you can fit in your SIM card and your memory

card.

On the top there's not much going on there while at the bottom we have the USB slot,

headphone jack, the microphone and the loudspeaker.

Going on to the back, we have here the twin cameras of 13 megapixels and 2 megapixels

dual camera with the flash and your fingerprint sensor.

In the front we have here the 16 megapixel camera which is a lot.

If you always want to walk around with something light, the Gionee S11 Lite might just be your

right choice as it weighs an approximately 143g.

In comparison the Infinix Hot 5 weights 168g.

So it's one thing to be beautiful on the outside, another thing to be beautiful on

the inside.

So right now let's power on the Gionee S11 Lite to confirm whether or not beauty is only

plastic deep.

The Gionee S11 Lite comes with an IPS LCD

capacitive touchscreen which is said to be bursting with over 16 million colors.

To test how bright and colorful this screen is, let's go on to watch one of the most

addictive series ever, I'm talking about none other than Game Of Thrones.

This screen can easily rub its shoulders with all other phones which can even be considered

to have the best screens.

I can easily find myself binging on this series all day and all night long.

As earlier stated, the Gionee S11 Lite comes protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Now the importance of this feature cannot be underestimated and is one that is largely

taken for granted.

But I mean I have no research to back me up but I can guarantee you that currently in

Nigeria, 1 in every 3 phones you would see has a cracked screen.

And if you are watching this video with a cracked screen right now, I would suggest

you go on Jiji.ng and get yourself a Gionee S11 Lite.

So the Gionee S11 Lite comes straight out of

the box with Android 7.1 Nougat with Amigo 5.0.

The OS laid over the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 is designed to enhance the multimedia experience

and promises you nothing but good times.

Let's test the truthfulness of this promise by going ahead to play this game right here, I'm

talking about Injustice 2!

So not bad at all, I mean the Octa-core processor and 4 GB RAM both have a hand in ensuring

that the gaming experience so far has been seamless.

Quite Impressive.

So on to the camera, the rear camera of the

Gionee S11 Lite comes with a dual camera of 13 megapixels and 2 megapixels.

Incase you are wondering what exactly is a dual camera, it basically means that there

are two photo sensors instead of one.

So typically, the smartphone's main camera, which in this case would be the 13MP camera,

acts more or less like a normal camera: it takes color images in the best way possible.

The second camera sensor, which is the 2MP camera, aims to add elements that can't be

captured with the first sensor.

The combination of both images, which is carried out electronically, produces the best pictures.

Let's confirm how true this is.

For this, we are going be going across Yaba to shoot a couple of photographs.

You be the judge.

The camera also comes with other functionalities such as Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection,

HDR and panorama.

The selfie camera is 16 megapixels.

Let's test this out.

For me this is so far what I am most blown away about because to be honest I am not as

fine as this in real life.

The Gionee S11 Lite comes with an internal

memory of 32GB.

I have put in seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Game of Thrones as well as a couple of apps and

a game, a very heavy game and I still have over 2GB of memory left.

Who says you can't eat your cake and have it?

The Gionee S11 Lite comes with a battery power of 2970 mAh battery which is acceptable considering

it has a wide 5.7 inch screen.

Anything less would have been pitiful.

Having spent about 2 hours gaming and going all around the phone, the battery went down

from ninety something percent, I'm not quite sure to about 85%.

This is quite good.

So let's test the sound quality by handing things over to Young John the wicked producer!

In all honesty, the sound quality is not that great if I'm to be honest.

If you are the type that enjoys loud music I will suggest you buy yourself a wireless

speaker for this.

So now let's take a quick snapshot of the Gionee S11 Lite specs and price.

Let's quickly compare the features of the Gionee S11 Lite with other flagship smartphones

currently out there.

How much is Gionee S11 Lite in Nigeria?

To get the current price of the Gionee S11 Lite and to make a purchase, you can simply

visit Jiji.ng either through the App or the website to make your search, contact the

seller and make your purchase.

If you liked this video, kindly subscribe to our channels and more importantly click

Investigation Into Clinton Foundation Launched – And It Is Getting Serious - Duration: 5:15.

Investigation Into Clinton Foundation Launched – And It Is Getting Serious

Now, more than one government, including the United States, is looking into the dealings

of the Clinton Foundation and its possible criminal activities.

A New Investigation

In January, The Hill reported that the Justice Department had opened a new investigation

into whether the Foundation engaged in any quid pro quo when Hillary Clinton served as

the Secretary of State.

"The officials, who spoke only on condition of anonymity, said the probe is examining

whether the Clintons promised or performed any policy favors in return for largesse to

their charitable efforts or whether donors made commitments of donations in hopes of

securing government outcomes," The Hill wrote. The probe may also examine whether any

tax-exempt assets were converted for personal or political use and whether the foundation

complied with applicable tax laws, the officials said.

One witness recently interviewed by the FBI described the session to The Hill as "extremely

professional and unquestionably thorough" and focused on questions about whether donors

to Clinton charitable efforts received any favorable treatment from the Obama administration

on a policy decision previously highlighted in media reports," it said.

Spokesmen for Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation derided the new investigation.

"Let's call this what it is: a sham," Hillary Clinton's spokesman Nick Merrill

said.

"This is a philanthropy that does life-changing work, which Republicans have tried to turn

into a political football.

It began with a now long-debunked project spearheaded by Steve Bannon during the presidential

campaign.

It continues with Jeff Sessions doing Trump's bidding by heeding his calls to meddle with

a department that is supposed to function independently."

"Time after time, the Clinton Foundation has been subjected to politically motivated

allegations, and time after time these allegations have been proven false.

None of this has made us waver in our mission to help people," foundation spokesman Craig

Minassian said.

"The Clinton Foundation has demonstrably improved the lives of millions of people across

America and around the world while earning top ratings from charity watchdog groups in

the process."

Some watchdog groups have given the Foundation a clean bill of health, but other investigators

contend it is a pay-for-play scheme and critical part of Clinton empire.

National Review writes:

The Clintons get nothing from the foundation except free travel on chartered jets and first-class

airline seats and hotel stays and, oh yes, control over a giant operating budget to steer

to the charities and good causes that they prefer.

Practically nothing!

The International Connection

First, multiple investigations have been launched into the Foundation because of the many indications

that the organization operates primarily to benefit the Clintons.

France, for instance, conducted an investigation between 2009-2011 that attempted to determine

where millions of dollars of HIV/Aids assistance money (a good portion of which was given to

the Clinton Foundation) was spent.

The Clinton Foundation has its tentacles in several nations, including Columbia and Haiti,

and during the transition from the Obama administration to President Trump's administration, it

was reported that the new president wanted to pressure foreign governments to investigate.

"A source close to President-elect Donald Trump's transition team told The Post that

the new administration plans to pressure the US ambassadors it will name to bring up the

foundation with foreign governments — and suggest they probe its financial dealings,"

The New York Post reported.

"Haiti and Colombia will be key diplomatic posts for this because of all the money

involved," a source told The Post.

"In Haiti, recently leaked e-mails indicate "Friends of Bill" Clinton may have been

given priority by the State Department as it prepared to spend some $10 billion in aid

after a devastating earthquake hit the country in 2010.

The State Department has denied any special treatment," The Postreported.

"In Colombia, Canadian mining magnate Frank Giustra pledged $100 million to the foundation

in 2005 and later benefited from the foundation's philanthropic work in the country, where he

acquired large parcels of land and set up an oil business, according to watchdog groups,"

it said.

There are simply too many examples of corruption and the buying of favors to believe that the

Clintons were merely operating a good-natured charity.

They can run but they cannot hide forever, and the noose is tightening.

BREAKING: NFL Patriots Starter STOPS Mass School Shooting…

LOOK WHO IT IS!!!

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, his assistant and an unidentified

Instagram user have been credited with stopping a possible school shooting in Michigan, Fox

News reports.

Edelman told The New York Times that he was visiting his former teammate Danny Amendola

late last month when an Instagram user identified as "jesseyi3" sent him this direct message:

"Dude, there is a kid in your comment section says he s [sic] going to shoot up a school,

i think you should alert the authority "I'm going to shoot my school up watch the news,"

the comment read.

Moen called 911, and a police officer soon arrived.

The officer saw the screen shot, then called her chief, who sent two detectives to Moen's

house.

The detectives collected some information about the person who posted the threat.

They then returned to their office, where they made an emergency records request for

account information, which allowed them to determine the sender's email and IP address,

which was traced to Port Huron, Mich.

The detectives called police in Michigan, who immediately drove to the house where the

threatening message originated.

When the police arrived at the address, they found a 14-year-old boy, who, they said, admitted

to posting the threat.

They also found two rifles that belonged to his mother, according to Capt. Joseph Platzer

of the Port Huron Police Department.

Platzer said the boy's threat was aimed at the middle school that he attends in a

nearby township.

The boy was taken to a juvenile-detention center, where he remains.

He was charged with making a false report of a threat of terrorism, a felony that is

punishable by up to four years in jail.

How great is that?

Let's hope this punk get's what he deserves- PRISON!

AFFORDABLE SPRING ROSEGAL TRY-ON HAUL| IS IT WORTH IT?!?!| LIA LAVON - Duration: 7:03.

Hey Youtube Family.

It's ya girl Lia back again with another video.

And today's video is another Affordable Try-On Haul video and today's retailer as you saw

from the title is Rosegal.

Now this is a collaboration with Rosegal and this is my first time trying Rosegal so I'm

going to keep it 100 100% honest in my thoughts on this company.

You guys know that's what I try to bring you guys.

I try to bring you the whole picture with these.

Sometimes everybody is like I love it and I'm like hold on wait.

I got some questions.

I gotta tell my audience the truth about these retailers.

Now they said that I could spend $80 on the site.

And I thought oh yea $80 bout to go far.

Bout the have a lot of items in that cart.

I was done picking out 4 items and I was already at $79.99.

So that is what my total is today.

It is $79 and like 98 cents.

I was right at the cusp and I only got 4 items.

We'll see and I'll show you if those 4 items were actually good items or if it's like child

y'all is over priced for no reason.

So this is the first Rosegal item and it is on the site titled the Flounce Cami Strap

High Low Mermaid Dress.

Now I have it in the color burgundy and it is in the size medium.

And the price was $21.55.

Now surprisingly this dress was a little bit too big for me and that's shocking because

online with these retailers you guys know they typically run a lot smaller.

And I always say they run small size up, size up, size up.

I was debating whether I should have got a large and I should have actually gotten a

small honey.

Normally these things upstairs have a tough time fitting into medium and smalls on these

overseas retailers but child I was like I have extra room.

I have extra space and this is rare for me.

It's a cute dress for $21 but size small if you're actually gonna go with this flounce

cami dress.

Now the next item that I have is this dress and I think it's such a cute brunchy Easter.

Like not going to Easter church cause you can't wear no off the shoulder in the Lord's

house.

But it's cute like after you're going to meet you friends that next weekend.

You know just a spring brunch dress.

And it's known as the Ruffle Off The Shoulder Bodycon Floral Dress.

It's in the color white so it says on the site.

And it's the most expensive item that I have in this collection.

It is $25.87.

So typically on these you know like type of Zaful Shein type sites the dresses are usually

under $20.

This one was almost close to $30.

Um but it is cute.

It is kind of see through.

It is kind of see through.

So you're going to need to need to wear some nude bottoms if you have a dress like this.

Like I said I have this dress in the size medium.

Once again another item I could have sized down on.

And that's so strange.

So it fits up top beautifully.

Fits very well up top but down below its a little bit loose.

And I could have gone smaller up top too.

So again with these sizing.

Some people ask should I go what's on the site and the size chart and all that.

I'd say you can but it's also like you're taking a risk sometimes.

Now the next item is actually my my favorite item.

It's weird because it's kinda like a beachy going on vacation type of a dress.

And it is the big flower print V neck long sleeve maxi dress.

Color floral.

Size medium and it's the most inexpensive thing I got from this haul and it's $12.28.

I love this because it kept my boobs on full display.

If you've been following me for a long time I ain't got no booty.

I have 0% booty out there.

So I gotta really work what I got up top.

The lord knew he could not give me something down below cause I would be feeling myself

a little too hard.

So to keep me humble he said you ain't going to have no behind but I'll give you a chest girl. I'll give you a chest. I think this dress

made me feel feel a little bit sexy. I didn't feel like I was going to pop out or anything. So I think I sized well with medium.

Small would have been too small. Large would have been a little bit too baggy. So this size actually was the perfect size.

Like I said it was the most inexpensive thing I got here today. So it's like okay I'm feeling it. I'm feeling it.

Now the last item I got is I'd say I saved the one I didn't love the most for last. And it is the Plunge Knotted Maxi High Slit Prom Dress.

And it is the size medium. Color black and this was $20.26.

Now I wasn't looking for this to be a prom dress. Like I'm not not going to prom. I was looking for because on the site. I'll

insert a picture of what it looked like on the site. It just looked like a regular black dress. Now that knot. I don't know what

that knot's doing on that dress but it's helping that dress in any capacity. It makes it weird. It makes it fasten weird. I think wherever they got this picture from

cause of course you know a lot of times they don't be basing it of that real picture. They try to make it look like .the

picture but sometimes they do a good job other times they don't. This is one of the times where they didn't do such an amazing job

in mimicking the picture because the functionality of that middle part just doesn't make sense. So I have to say this dress has to be a dud for me. Out of all the

items I'd have to say I love the two middle dresses. My brunch you know springtime dress as well that maxi dress.

So overall a couple of good pieces a couple of duds and that's the thing about the sites your really can't tell what you're going to get. Sometime you get amazing pieces.

I have pieces from sites like these that to death and I will wear over and over and they hold up and they're sturdy and they're dependable and all that.

And then I have some pieces from them that I can only wear one time, fell apart and all that. So you really have to buyer beware and you have to be looking for stuff.

Like I said when I first got on these sites. These overseas sites because I was in college and I was like I'm tired of wearing the same Forever 21 looking like everybody at the party. And

so in college I really got into these sites. So I would say if you are college aged

Cryptocurrency Ban? The Conspiracy is Real! Google, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter... - Duration: 12:50.

I didn't notice you there So, if you're in the crypto space you've probably heard news

going around about the whole thing with google, facebook, twitter.

They're all announcing that they're going to be banning cryptocurrency ads.

Now obviously this is big news but I'm going to kind of come at you more from the conspiracy

side of things with what I've dug up, and it does seem like this reach is much further

than just cryptocurrency ads.

It's getting down to the point of organic content, and as people in the crypto community

this is something you need to be concerned about and were going to talk about that today.

Okay, so as I mentioned before, the media giants out there have all announced at this

point that they're going to be targeting cryptocurrency ads.

But being somebody that's in the crypto space, we post on multiple different platforms; twitter,

facebook, instagram, all those.

And one thing that became glaringly obvious very early on is that this "ban" is not restrictive

to ads.

It is a blatant ban on content relating to blockchain and crypto, far beyond this kind

of "ICO/save the consumer from themselves" type perspective that the media giants are

trying to put out there.

So, the first one I'm really going to talk about is twitter.

They supposedly just start doing this, I believe it was the 28th when they put the official

announcement out there.

Twitter is the most interesting one for us, because with all the other ones where there's

a lot of guesswork going on, people saying "oh we're seeing this, oh we're seeing that".

Twitter is simple, it's very straight forward for us.

So essentially we use scripts to transfer over our instagram posts to twitter.

And our guy that runs some of our social media pages also runs a number of other pages.

And something that we had pointed out to us is that all these other pages that he is running,

they're posting just fine, hashtags are going through, you can put hashtags right there

on the post, it feeds through the script, it appears there.

What we noticed is right here around march 5th was the last time that we had had a successful

posting on twitter.

You can see right here we had this one (march 5th) and then there's this gap from march

th to march 8th and then once again all the way out from march 8th until the 18th.

So youre talking about two entire weeks that out content was not being pushed to twitter.

And for the life of us we couldn't figure it out.

We dove in, and we realized that the moment we went through and removed our cryptocurrency

and blockchain related hashtags from the initial posts they immediately went through.

So that was red flag number one.

No matter what they can try and deny we saw it with our own eyes, you include crypto or

blockchain hashtags and twitter is using an API to filter us right out from even being

able to post.

Okay, so obviously twitter was kind of the easiest to touch on, because there's no ifs,

ands, or buts.

We saw it with our own eyes, they're clearly blocking hashtags.

But facebook is kind of an interesting one because they were the first one to come out

and announce it.

Now for us, I think obviously facebook has been struggling with a lot of different issues.

I mean look what they have going on right now with the whole data breach, in terms of

massive amounts, 50 million users data being collected.and that was over two years,

ago.

Facebook never said a word until somebody else figured it out and brought into the public

eye.

So do you really think ist beyond facebook and zuckerberg to go and bury something like

this, and just not tell their user base?

This is what they've become notorious for, they hide the data they don't want you to

see, they sell the data of yours that's useful.

This is what they do guys, its not beyond them.

But on our end like I said facebook is kind of the side issue.

Instagram is really one of the platforms we hit the space hard with and facebook is relevant

to that because they did have a merger/acquisition over instagram and they now own instagram.

So one of the things that we saw with our instagram page that was just glaringly obvious

is that we interact with nobody but cryptocurrency people on that page.

I mean, Bitcoin, ethereum, these are the tags, these are the hashtags that we interact with.

Nothing else, that is what we do.

And one of the most obvious things was, we hopped onto our explore feed one day and it

was like somebody had just flipped a switch and all of the sudden the cryptocurrency flow

had just completely stopped.

Our explore feed is nothing but watches, luxury, and lifestyle things now.

It is literally difficult to find something about Bitcoin from a page that's centered

around Bitcoin.

And we wanted to make sure it wasn't just us so we actually reached out to a few of

the other hard hitting instagram pages.

We're going to show you some screenshots they sent over from their explore pages as well.

It really says something when your talking about a number of pages where we've got well

over hundreds of thousands of followers between us and none of us are seeing anything cryptocurrency

related when that's exactly what our pages are about.

You know guys, something stinks.

It would've made a little more sense if things had just filtered out but it was just like

we woke up one morning and crypto was gone, it was like they just decided they didn't

want us to see it, they flipped the switch, and they're cutting the info flow.

So the kind of last major group were going to talk about is google.Which really, when

we talk about google, you can't think of google as just google.

Google is a subsidiary of alphabet inc which owns all of the different google projects,

youtube is under that umbrella.

But the thing that's really important with the google/alphabet inc issue is they said

that they were going to be blocking the ads come June...Clearly, from what we've seen

with search results, what we've seen with our own results for our personal pages popping

up and things like that, obviously the filtering is already happening and obviously the reach

is much more than ads they're cutting out organic content.

One of the things that I think is important to point is that those of us that were growing

up in the 90s/early 2000s we remember a time when google's main thing was about information

freedom.

And I think those of us that saw that initial google entity as it was and have seen what

its become have realized they really mad a transfer of going from this open source ideal

to just becoming this kind of ultimate data broker.

At this point google's goal is to control the data that's out there, and the control

of that data gives them a massive amount of power.

And the reason I think this is so important is that if we look at a list of mergers/acquisitions

under alphabet inc going back to 2016...While google is sitting here saying they're blocking

blockchain and cryptocurrency ads to protect the consumers, we can actually see that they've

been buying up cryptocurrency and blockchain inspired companies and projects.

And they've been doing this since 2016.

Do you really think they're against something this revolutionary and they're shutting it

out?

This is just my opinion but personally I think it's pretty transparent.

I look and I say they're trying to control the flow of information, they're buying upop

these blockchain projects an they're trying to bury it just long enough that they can

come in from left field with googlechain or whatever they decide to call it.

Because they did announce they're thinking about a blockchain.

This is not about blockchain being bad, this is about them trying to capitalize on it and

force everyone out.

Now along with that like I said, alphabet inc is the umbrella company and one of the

projects under them is obviously youtube.

This is another one that was big for us that was very easy to notice.

So that last post we had on twitter before everything went awry was right around march

5th, which was the same time that our last video on youtube went up that did really well.

Historically, usually the first day or two we see at least a thousand views for anything

we post, and that goes back to when we first started the channel.

Im talking back when we had less than one hundred to two hundred subscribers.

Even the first couple days you're still talking about hundreds and hundreds of hits.

What was really eye opening (were going to open up the youtube channel here).

We went from our most recent video that pulled in about three thousand views, it did relatively

well; and then we had this hit that we took. And we went from three thousand views average,

to now were actually seeing three hundred views in a week.

Its unprecedented.

We literally haven't seen views this low since we started the channel and we're twenty five

time the size we were then.

Something is up guys, they say they're not enacting any of this yet, they say it's just

ads.

But look at the facts.

The numbers don't lie.

These companies are notorious for selling your data, they're notorious for basically

manipulating that data and using it so their advertisers can capitalize on what you're

interested in.

Don't think that it ends there guys.

They are trying to push as many buttons with this crypto things as possible.

They want to capitalize on it, they absolutely do want the little guys having any say in

this.

And you know, it's not just us.

We looked at a number of the other bigger crypto channels on youtube.

You know, someone like crypt0news isn't going to take as much of hit because of how popular

he i, but you can look and see that even his videos have seen a marked decrease in the

traffic.

And you know, they can say what they want; but it's pretty obvious to those of us that

are in the space.

No matter who argues and says it hasn't started, whoever says just just ads.it's just not

true guys.

This is an all out war, they realize that this is something that threatens they're platform,

they're point of power and it's going to be a real struggle over the next year.

Personally weve been looking at steemit, were actually looking at Dtube which is an alternative

to youtube that incentivizes the uploaders, its decentralized, people have the ability

to vote to have content removed, there's no moderation by some unseen power that's just

going to flip a switch and say you can't post this.

With all of the controversy with facebook, with what twitter, what google, what youtube

are doing right now, I think that 2018 is going to be a big year for people looking

for new outlets where they're not being stifled by these media giants that are essentially

wielding they're place that we helped them get to, as a way to kind of shut down their

user base.

So you know, if you're interested into getting into an environment where your not going to

have your content controlled by someone out there; please, I really suggest looking at

steemit, I suggest looking at dtube.

Look at these decentralized options.

If you're into blockchain, one of the driving things about this is decentralization and

putting the power back in the hands of the people using the networks.

Twitter, Facebook, Google, they have all proved to us that they don't have the interests of

their consumer base in mind.

We need people that have us in mind.

Stay sharp guys, it's a war out there.

Have a good one.

3 Practical Examples of Using Reality Transurfing and How to Apply it - Duration: 19:28.

this video I'm gonna be sharing with you three practical examples of how to use

reality transfer feeding their life in a very powerful way and I'm gonna be

showing you exactly how you can apply it so that you get the results that you

want faster than ever welcome back to another video my name is Erin and I help

people expand their consciousness now in this video I'm gonna be sharing with you

how to use reality tran surfing in a practical type sense and three examples

that I've noticed either in my own life or through observing other people that

has worked very powerfully now first off before I get into it let me explain some

of the ideas of reality transfer fiends so that you're like yo where's the

context for this video and you're like okay I kind of get it and that is first

off reality transfer being very powerful process it's so powerful because it

helps us understand how to manifest from a much more powerful place like maybe

like the old way of doing it like the traditional way we understand the law of

attraction is that we're here we want to go here and what we do is we have to

will ourselves we have to desire it and that desire many times reinforces in the

present moment that's like yo that thing that I want over there isn't over here

so I feel resistance so instead the key is to feel the emotions from over here

now in the present moment through the awareness that there's an infinite

number of parallel realities that exist and that because of that you can start

to embody the feelings the emotions and the thoughts of the one that would be

doing exactly what you love to be doing in the state of being that you would

prefer now this book was written by Vadim Zealand in Russia and it's now

been translated to English and a whole bunch of different languages start to

get a lot more popularity and it has to do with a couple key concepts one of

them is that intention is very powerful if you simply set more intentions you

are going to start to shift to the realities that you want because in what

is called the space of variations that's like the infinite parallel realities

that exist there is an infinite number of parallel realities and what we think

of as time is actually the movement through those different parallel

realities now of course there's another part of this it goes deeper because

they're thoughts that we have have an Electra

type reality even if we can't see those thoughts so this means that while you're

thinking of certain things you're building certain momentum through those

parallel realities coming into your life experience or to you at least perceiving

of those so what also happens is because we are collectively creating our reality

with other people we are also adding onto what are called these thought

structures which are called pendulums which are then something that we begin

to feel so sometimes we think we're thinking our own thoughts when in

reality we're thinking the thoughts of these pendulums so this is called social

conditioning at the same time so there are pendulums are on everything there

are these thought structures because our thoughts have an electromagnetic type

reality there are these thought structures that are in a way like a

bubble think of it like a bubble around the earth and we have certain thoughts

that we may think and we may see and feel a lot of momentum towards but it

may just because that has a strong energy pole because a lot of other

people that thinking the same things too so think about this like in the form of

a like football team baseball teams hockey team any team you can imagine

think about this in the form of Republican Democrat independent

anarchists anything you can think of if you have certain beliefs and you feel

the pool of it you have to ask yourself is this really my belief or is this

something I feel triggered because of conditioning so the news for example

does a great job at this because what they do is they say look at this look at

this and then you say oh man that triggers me and then you start to feed

into it and that emotion is pulling you and therefore you can't really create

your own reality in a powerful way because the emotions that you have are

being depleted through that quote-unquote pendulum so how do you get

out of this will you become aware you got to become aware of what you're

thinking you got to become aware and observe those thoughts the only way to

get through it is not to fight it you may say oh I'm not this Democratic

Republican or independent anarchist whatever I am myself but you don't fight

it you say I just observe it that exists for some people that exists for some

people I choose to just observe therefore not getting banged around with

this energy so that's important the last part I'll talk about I'm starting to I

always explain these in the beginning of the videos it's just to give it context

I'm you may be heard this a million times

before and it helps wire it in as well last part of it though decrease in

importance this is the game changer this is the thing that I get so many people

that comment they go yo this round of trans surfing has changed my life thank

you so much for introducing to to me because I decreased importance also I

created a free meditation that's in the description box that will help you and

show you exactly how to decrease importance in your life with your with

what you want to create so that you increase the probability that you

experience it feel free to download that in top of the description box I listen

to it I recommend you listen to it for 21 days I listen to it as well I find it

very powerful and I think that if you use it you'll start to see results in a

much faster way so decrease in importance anytime we put something on a

pedestal we immediately distance ourselves from

it because we're making it very important that our metaphorically

speaking these balancing factors that come into play that neutralize that

energy so if you're making it very important that is ultra sting goes

really well with this person that you're attracted to then what happens you

either create resistance things just don't work out because the balancing

factors come into play to neutralize it so you can't give things excess meaning

you have to more of see it as a part of who you are a lot of that has to do with

our self-image if we don't see ourselves as worthy of being around someone or

beaten with someone then what happens because we don't see yourself as worthy

that gets taken away from us if we see it as natural as comfortable for us to

be around people that we like to be around and guess what that's a natural

part of who we are so it's not about making it very important it's about

neutralizing it and seeing it this as a natural part of who we are so what are

the three practical examples of decreased importance that we can begin

to see in our life hope what a much to share with you I was up and moving into

this place about uh less than a week ago when I was moving in I put on a podcast

while I was here or while I was getting my stuff ready at the other house

and I was like packing and stuff and I was like taking apart the bed and I put

on a podcast with Joe Rogan who was interviewing Jim Jones and Jim Jones is

a UFC fighter who is like one of the best UFC fighters right now I think he

got caught though with steroids or something like that and he's not

fighting for a while he's suspended I think for three years which is like huge

and he was being interviewed and he has like a reputation for being like

this he's like this beast fighter but at the same time he's like this wild guy

that just like parties like crazy goes kids like blackout drunk like does crazy

stuff and he's done got in trouble with a lot of stuff as well and it was

interesting because like he talks about how he parties before he fights so he'll

party a week before he goes any fights and that's just part of his routine he

says if he doesn't fight if he said one time he didn't do that that was the one

time he lost but now this may be also self-fulfilling beliefs but that's what

I thought it was interesting Joe Rogan asked him said why did you do that why

do you party but don't you think you could be so much better if you were to

like actually stay disciplined the whole time leading up to a fight rather than

partying like crazy a week before you wanted to fight and then shaping up a

couple days before the fight so what he said he said I always felt like if I

partied a week before and if I ended up losing that I could blame it on the

partying so I could justify it rationalize it in my hood on head so

it's almost like he would feel as guilty and his ego wouldn't take it as

personally if he were to actually you know lose if he was party in a week

before know what what does that do well what that does is that decreases

importance because it's like he has all this resistance if you were to go into

it his ego would feel like he had to defend it if he went into the fight and

he hadn't you know just like the same excuse or he had like the same the same

advantage as everyone else because he had trained for months and months and

been so strict on his diet and everything but instead he decreased

in-port says he doesn't know this he ain't like you know oh I read rounded

transfer fee and I watched Aaron's videos and that's why I decided to do

when he does though is he just knows that if he does that then what happens

is it kind of takes the pressure off of him and that pressure many times comes

resistance how some people respond better to pressure there are some people

like there are some athletes that kind of know something like sometimes LeBron

James for example in basketball it's like they don't sometimes he won't play

with that much pressure until his team is down or until he absolutely has to

show up so it's kind of funny how that works but what happens is is that

sometimes you there's different ways that you could respond

to that Jim Jones says that he does that because then it takes the pressure off

of him that's one way that he decreases importance of what happens because it's

kind of like well a party a week ago I got blackout drunk and I did that for

three days in a row so if I do lose it's because of that not because of anything

to do with my fighting ability and that works for him but that's what he did is

he decreased the level of importance and that's something that you can do as well

so next time you're having a fight and there you're thinking about you know

should I fight the maybe just go get blackout drunk and see what happens I'm

just kidding but for real though for real that's the analogy that you can use

and you can do that in different ways you know you could just take the

pressure off of yourself more so and see it as natural for you to accomplish what

you want but I was listening to it I remember and I thought to myself as a

guilt that's reality Tran surfing right there I could see it you don't know it

but that's how it gets applied so that's one example now what is another example

well I'm gonna mention this because this also has to do decrease in importance

but I have been around I mean I've grown up and I've seen this either in my own

life or I've seen this in other people's life as well but anytime somebody really

really really wants somebody else tracted to somebody else that causes a

lot of resistance I've seen that so many times or not just because I have YouTube

channel people come to me all the time they're like Aaron how do I track to

specific person into my life how do I track the next to my life all of these

things I hear that all the time but even friends just growing up my friends that

were like oh you know they bring it up with the girlfriend of they're like

really down and they're kind of depressed or you know a girl a

girlfriend of mine breaks up with a guy or whatever it is whatever the situation

is and what happens is that creates that resistance and normally what I say is

almost always the same thing it's like just focus on you focus on the

relationships you already have focus on having fun with your friends you know

kind of shift the focus and the more that they do that the more that they

shift the focus the more that they make it less important because they're not

giving it and putting everything on a pedestal of their unhappiness I'm like

listen you can be happy right now in the present moment and by just having fun

you're in your own movie this is something this is

kinda like the same thing right I say this a lot as well be the hero of your

own movie don't be at the cameo in someone else's movie the moment that you

put someone and you become a cameo in someone else's movie you made them the

center of attention and you take it and given your power away and the moment you

do that is the moment you make them very important and you make it about them and

like how you can mold to their expectations and their reality so how do

you bypass this well what you must do is you must start to be in your own movie

you must start to see yourself as somebody that's worthy of having what

you want your life and see it as natural for you to experience what you want you

know and this is another thing with reality share and surfing as well there

are many times that people are changing at a certain level but they don't change

their self image and when they don't change their self image their goals feel

just a little bit outside of themselves their goals feel like it's it's almost

unattainable see it as natural for you to attain what you want to use a natural

byproduct of who you are you know I'm not gonna lie to you guys I've been more

quote/unquote lucky in the last like three or four months than I ever have in

my whole life I think it's because I gave so much momentum with taking action

doing what I love but I also just seen those natural for me and she has natural

for me to be accomplishing what I want and because of that things are happening

more quickly than ever so that's something you can apply be aware of how

you relate to that idea of relationships how important do you make relationships

in general with other people and if you're making it really really important

you may be creating that resistance and instead see it as natural for you to be

the hero of your own movie and as you see it as being natural it

will become something that is easier for you to attract it to your life because

it's a part of who you are right now the third example I want to give you has to

do with using the goals you have in correlation with your heart so for the

longest time I was becoming and trying to become like an entrepreneur right I

was trying to make money outside my nine-to-five job I at the time I worked

at Nordstrom's selling women's shoes then eventually I went to Barneys and I

had this idea that I would passionate about making videos but I

wasn't I don't know maybe I wasn't sold on it yet or maybe I just didn't think

that I'd be able to do it or was kind of like putting myself out there too much

I'm not sure what it was exactly but what I did is I looked at different ways

of making money online so I went into something called Kindle publishing which

is where I learned how to make books how to outsource books how to make books

that like people were looking for and like self-help books pretty much to help

people that would help people do certain things you know so I got into that

business because what i could do is i could make a book i could you know keep

the cover made made it and then i could put it on line and sell for like two to

five bucks and it could be like a shorter book but it could solve problems

and could really help people and if i marketed it the right way that could be

something that made me a couple hundred bucks a month and if I did that with

enough books I could be making a lot of money well I started doing that and it

was like I had to really I just wasn't passionate about it to be honest with

you it was like I was putting all my energy into it and it was like something

that I thought would bring me in abundance but it wasn't something I was

passionate about and shortly after that there were a couple other like side

geeks I would do where there's like a lot of promise to make money doing it

but it was almost like things were just happened to where it just didn't really

work out and I believe that that all happened for a reason and we could say

that that happened for a higher purpose because it kind of had to show me that

that wasn't my true path or my true calling but at the same time I just

wasn't passionate about it so things didn't really move and with anything

when it comes to success is you have to stay consistent you know I was talking

about this with a friend the other day because we have this one friend

it was XA Paddy's day which is like a party and I don't go out and you just

stay and I you know I make videos and stuff like that but I went out and I was

talking about friend we had this friend in high school who likes to do a million

different things like he will do this for a week this for a week this for a

week it's really really passionate when he does it but he moves on to the next

thing he moves on to the next thing and basically what happened is he's never

really got momentum with any of those because he had never focused on just one

thing now the thing is those and it's not just the focus it has to be tied to

your passion because when you are doing something Pat you're passionate about

the the focus and the consistently comes easily I've been making a video a day

since February of last year it's been over a year

of straight videos every single day and I would not

able to do it if I did not love to do it I would have given up and I see a lot of

other people that are youtubers that try to do daily and a lot of times they're

not able to do it it's because they may not enjoy the process as much not

bagging on them but it's it's you know some people look at me and are like how

does he do a video a day no matter what I love making videos I love making video

so it's like it's easy for me to do so that's something that if you start to

tack your passion it's not hard to do all the time because you absolutely love

doing it now this is a game changer as well when it comes to money because I

have been more abundant than ever before in my whole life because I'm doing what

I love and I'm following that feeling and you may and you know I use this

analogy as well as another example someone like Warren Buffett Warren

Buffett is one of the most wealthy people in the world and you may look and

say well he invests his money it's like all logical thing well he's been

investing and he's been studying that since he was like seven or eight years

old he's been reading books on investments can you believe that like

that young studying investments reading books about it and that's something he

is absolutely passionate about and he's one of the best in the world at what he

does at the kind of stock markets and how he knows how to you know use his

money and because of that he's becoming that abundant now that's because he's

passionate about it so you may not be passionate about that and that's okay

however I would say if you love what you do it's so much easier for you to stay

consistent he's able to read newspapers every day on studying the markets he's

able to read you know he reads a lot and he becomes very aware of the markets and

stuff like that because he loves doing it but would you be able to get up every

day and read something you're not passionate about unless you were you

know it's something passion about just because you want to make money money is

a byproduct of you doing your patch and you're doing what you love I found in my

own life that would I trust the process and I do what I love there's a frequency

there's a feeling and in that feeling this is what happens there's an infinite

number of parallel realities that exist when you tap into the feeling it

increases your state of being and you perceive of more opportunities in your

life of more things that resonate with that state of being so things happen in

a much faster way and a much more magical way so what I encourage you to

do is to start to pay more attention to what you're passionate about and decide

to do certain things to in generate that feeling more and more and the more you

generate that feeling the more you'll get insight as to what you could be

doing or how that could lead to you doing something that's productive that

either helps adds value to other people or whether it's creating content online

or whatever that is but simply decide you're going to connect to your heart

and as you do that things will happen in a very powerful way so something I

realized I gave up trying to do all those things that I wasn't passionate

about and then I realized that what I could really do is what I really love

doing which is making videos making content online and following that thread

so remember that what you can begin to do is the decrease levels of importance

by getting hammered drunk before you have a fight and other than that what

you can do is you can decide that you're going to deke I'm joking about that by

the way guys don't go get blackout drunk before fights instead just decrease

importance and don't give it that much X that's me you know okay that's what you

got to do don't give anything XS meaning start to see it as natural a part of

just who you are as you see your self image for a part of who you are

everything will begin to change because it becomes more natural for you it's

just a part of who you are and then that will allow you to then resonate with

your desires in a very powerful way because you're not creating resistance

from that point start to focus more on your goals and goals in the sense of

connected to your heart follow your passion as you increase your state of

being you will perceive of opportunities in your life that are much more

conducive to who you prefer to be and everything will begin to change so with

that being said I hope you guys enjoy this video feel free to like this video

if you guys liked it subscribe if you haven't already also hit that little

notification gear so that you guys can see the daily vids that I do

and that as always this my love namaste

Republican Congressman Furious That California Is Providing Aide To Homeless Citizens - Duration: 4:32.

Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher is absolutely furious that the city of Santa

Cruz, California is being decent to homeless people.

Here's a little back story on this.

Recently, Orange County in California wanted to do something about homeless people, so

they were going to remove park benches.

They were going to remove any place where homeless people could go sleep.

They were going to destroy those little tent cities that they had set up.

They didn't want homeless people anywhere around their county, so Santa Cruz came in

and said, "Okay, well look, if you're kicking all these homeless people out, we're going

to do something to help them.

We're going to set up temporary shelters for them so that they're not just wandering the

streets at night in the cold, in the rain, and the heat, and whatever.

We're going to treat them like the human beings they actually are."

That is what has pissed off Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher.

Here's what Rohrabacher specifically said: "As a parent who owns a modest home in an

Orange County neighborhood, I join the outrage that we are assuming responsibility for homeless

people, taking care of their basic needs, and elongating their agony by removing the

necessity to make fundamental decisions about the way they live their lives."

According to Rohrabacher, every single person that's homeless in Orange County is so because

they've either screwed up their life somehow by poor decisions they've made, or because

they want to be.

Taking care of their basic needs, that is a specific line pulled out of his little quote

there, taking care of their basic needs.

How dare we as a society try to take care of somebody's basic needs, like food, and

shelter, running water, a toilet?

Yeah, that's a real crappy thing for a city or a county to try to do, right?

Rohrabacher's comments here are a continuation of the Republican Party's hatred of poor people.

It's not a disdain for poor people.

It's not a preference for rich people.

It is a deep-seated hatred built in to the Republican Party itself to hate poor people.

There are plenty of studies out there.

There is plenty of empirical data to show that most people who are homeless did not

make poor choices in life.

They're the victims of circumstances, of a down economy, of financial scams, financial

frauds.

Plenty of people lost their homes and had nowhere to go after the housing bubble crash,

which was caused by the big banks, but yeah, let's blame the homeless people.

Let's keep them out of our sight, because if we don't see it happening, then it's not

really happening, right, Dana?

Is that how it works?

You are a disgusting human being, absolutely disgusting, just like those Republicans from

Colorado recently who tweeted out that Republicans hate poor people because being poor is beneath

the dignity of a man.

Guess what?

Sometimes people are poor, and as a civilized country, as one of the wealthiest countries

in the world, we have a duty to take care of them.

As a Christian, as these Republicans claim to be, you have a religious obligation to

take care of them.

That's actually part of your religion, if you want to get into that little place you

call heaven, because if you treat people like dirt, if you treat them as anything less than

a human being, guess what?

According to your religion that you subscribe to, you're going to burn for all of eternity.

Is that what you want, just so that you don't have to see homeless people when you're driving

to and from your house?

Is that worth it?

I don't know.

That's what you believe, but you're not doing anything to solve the problem.

You would rather these people sleep out there on the sidewalks, get run over from sleeping

in the streets then treat them like basic human beings.

Rohrabacher represents every single thing that is wrong with the modern-day Republican

Party, and it's not just Rohrabacher, it's damn near every single one of them.

IF IT MEANT BEING A FAMILY.. - Duration: 6:50.

(Music) Hey!

Hello!

Guys, we just made it to the cabin we're staying at for Easter.

And we're the first ones here and we're very excited to be able to choose the perfect room.

Yeah, we went around, you better believe, and Ellie is so excited!

She absolutely loves it.

Yeah, she's so excited and there's two other dogs coming with us too, so.. but there's

a big size difference (laughing).

Caleb really wants to do something and I have to put it for the record, I don't approve

of this, I think it's kinda mean but.. we're gonna do it anyways?

Oh my gosh.

Parenting is gonna be interesting, you guys.

He's giving her like 100 kisses before.

I think this is so mean, I don't think you should do it.

Oh my gosh.

(Shrieks) (laughing) That was anti-climactic.

Yeah, I'd say.

So, like Caleb said.

We are here celebrating Easter.

We wanted to do something different this year.

We usually just do like a dinner, but this time we figured it would be fun to get everybody

together and now we're like all forced to spend actual time together so it's pretty

great.

But, yeah.

That's why we're here and we're excited, I think it will be fun!

(Laughing) You're such a pro!

You guys, she just jumped from here all

the way up here!

Crazy!

(Music) Good morning Ellie.

Okay, you go.

Just try to sit down if you can.

Whoa! (laughing) I think it's a little low guys.

Um, let's re-do this.

Right?

Yeah.

We're gonna have to re-do this.

So, how do you really feel with this transfer coming up?

I feel excited.

I'm honestly looking forward to it a lot.

I wish we could fast forward time to be honest.

It is crazy that we're doing this again.

Like, I know we have taken some time since the last treatment but like, this time around

is really exciting and I'm really just hopeful.

And I know what's happened in this journey it's hard to be hopeful, and that's just because

you know, you get your hopes up only to have them let down so many times.

Yeah.

So you just like, it's sad, but you just try not to be too optimistic.

Well like, it's about protecting your heart and making sure you don't fall harder.

Yeah, yeah.

And this time though, I feel hopeful.

And I feel like it's like with more of an educated reason and the experiences we've

gone through just like, shape being able to be hopeful.

Like there's more reason whereas our very first IVF..

I was so hopeful.

I did not expect it to fail whatsoever, that was shocking to me.

I thought, if you put all that money and all that pain and effort into something, like

it has to work.

Right?

Like it has to.

And the doctors tell you, it has to work.

And then... it didn't.

And it was like the biggest shock of my life, I couldn't even believe it.

And so now, we know that these are possibilities.

It's not as simple as that and there is a risk and it is something we have to like,

you know, be on board with and be okay with.

Yeah.

And I guess like, the point is the reward and the reason that we're doing it is so much

more to us than the risk.

You know what I mean?

Uh-huh.

Like I would do it a million times, if it meant being a family.

And that goes for every avenue that we ever try.

I mean this time as well, we're not just hopeful because "hey we're hopeful", we're hopeful

because we have reasons to be hopeful.

Like there's so many different factors this time around that play into feeling hopeful.

Yeah.

Yeah, I agree.

It's not just like naive, I guess you could say.

Well, we hope not.

(laughing) Awe, think we could have Ellie here and a baby right here, oh my goodness.

Yeah and then we'd hopefully be somewhere without snow.

(laughing) Seriously, as much as it's sunny and it's nice out right here.. it still isn't

enjoyable to be here in the snow on April 2nd..

I'm over it!

Yeah I'm over it.

C'mon Spring, where ya at?

Okay.. as nice as this is, your breath stinks and I need to leave.

Wow. (laughing) Wow.

Okay.

(Music)So we're just getting ready to leave now.

It's funny, we were the first ones to arrive and the last ones to leave.

You know what, we were just enjoying it and making this stay last as long as we could

because you know what, we have to go back to that work day grind tomorrow.

(Music)

And Just Like That, Trump Admin is ENDING Obama's 'Catch & Release'. - Duration: 5:07.

And Just Like That, Trump Admin is ENDING Obama's 'Catch & Release'

President Trump's admin is ending the disastrous Obama-era "catch and release" program.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is directing immigration judges to process cases quicker,

to shrink the massive backlog, and allow cases to be handled quickly.

From Breitbart

Attorney Gen. Jeff Sessions is directing immigration judges to process more cases in less time,

as part of a larger reform to end "catch and release" and shrink the growing backlog

of 600,000-plus cases in the immigration courts.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the new rules say:

judges will be required to complete 700 cases a year and to see fewer than 15% of their

decisions sent back by a higher court.

Over the past five years, the average judge completed 678 cases in a year, said Justice

Department spokesman Devin O'Malley.

But there was a range, he said, with some judges completing as many as 1,500 cases in

a year.

In addition, they will be required to meet other metrics, depending on their particular

workload.

One standard demands that 85% of removal cases for people who are detained be completed within

three days of a hearing on the merits of the case.

Another metric demands that 95% of all merits hearings be completed on the initial scheduled

hearing date.

The new rules are intended "to encourage efficient and effective case management while

preserving immigration judge discretion and due process," said a Friday email from James

McHenry, who is the director of the office which oversees the department's judges,

dubbed the Executive Office for Immigration Review.

Immigration lawyers derided the new rules, even though the faster process might resolve

their clients' cases in less time and at less cost.

"Conveyer belt justice," complained immigration lawyer Greg Siskind.

The new rules are part of an effort by Sessions to reform the immigration courts, which are

part of his agency.

For example:

Sessions is hiring more than 100 extra immigration judges in 2017 and 2018.

Sessions has directed the roughly 350 immigration judges to focus their time resolving the newsst

cases, rather than the oldest cases in the backlog.

Sessions is rewriting prior immigration-court precedents decisions which slow adjudication.

On March 5, Sessions formally vacated a 2014 immigration-court decision, dubbed "Matter

of E-F-H-L," and told the 350 immigration-court judges that they could rely on submitted written

evidence to avoid full hearings in some deportation cases.

In January, Sessions undertook a review of a case titled "Matter of Castro-Tum" which

will allow Sessions to approve or end the practice of "administrative closure,"

in which judges officially forget about enforcing deportation orders and so effectively grant

illegals the right to reside in the United States.

Roughly 350,000 illegals have benefitted from this "administrative closure" policy,

including roughly 175,000 migrants during Obama's watch.

These reforms may eventually help solve the "catch and release" problem, much of which

is caused by the agencies' failure to process asylum claims within 20 days.

Under current legal procedures, asylum seekers have to be released from detention if their

cases cannot be heard in 20 days.

The slow court system means that many new migrants know they will be released once they

are caught, so allowing them to migrate northwards in search of jobs.

Sessions' bureaucratic actions also may help offset the impact of Congress' support

for cheap-labor immigration.

This congressional support blocked President Donald Trump's reforms in February and cut

most of his funding priorities from the 2018 omnibus in March.

Congress' refusal to reform border laws, to fund the border wall, or trim legal immigration,

floods the labor market.

That flood of labor reduces Americans' wages and reduces corporate investment in labor-saving

machinery.

The freed-up cash then flows towards corporations, their investors, and their lawyers.

Migration lawyers and advocates are aghast at Sessions' pro-American reform.

I cannot stress enough the threat that Jeff Sessions–PERSONALLY–poses to immigrants,

asylum seekers and due process in America today.

By certifying cases to himself he has the power to unilaterally write the rules that

will shortcut protections for years to come, — Tom Jawetz .

Sessions' quiet personal anti immigrant vendetta via certifying appeals to himself

is going to do a lot of long term damage and only immigration attorneys are noticing because

it's pretty arcane and there's so many other ongoing shenanigans ,

— Becca Title .

I'm speaking at my first conference! And it's FREE! - Duration: 3:23.

- Hey guys my name is Matt Johnson.

And today I have a little update video for you.

I am filming this at the end of March

because the entire first half of April

I'm going to be in the glorious, beautiful

very cold country of Iceland filming a wedding.

And I did not wanna leave you high and dry

with no videos or hearing from me and being like

Matt left us, what's going on?

Well whenever I upload this, I am probably standing

on a glacier surrounded by not penguins, puffins,

and freezing my beard off.

So that is where I am right now.

But I'm making this video because I have

two very important updates that I wanted to share with you.

The first update is that I am going to be speaking

at my first conference, yes, finally!

I am so excited.

This conference is going to be free to attend or livestream.

So you really have no excuse for not attending.

There's this site, Love Stories TV.

Kind of like YouTube but for wedding films.

They've partnered me together with a little company

I'm sure you'd heard of called B&H

which is definitely like the film maker's Disney Land.

My goodness.

They have partnered together to create something called

the Depth of Field Conference,

a conference for wedding film makers and photographers

that they asked me to speak at, yes!

The conference is gonna be held

April 24th through 25th, 2018.

Yes, this month, in New York City.

If you want to attend, I'll have links

down in the description or you can set up two ten,

read more details, see about other speakers, etc.

All that linked down in description.

I am gonna be speaking about one of my favorite subjects,

how to keep your beard long and luscious on a wedding day.

JK, no I'm not gonna be talking about that.

What I am gonna be speaking about is all aspects

of audio recording on a wedding day.

So how I mic the groom, how I mic the officiant,

how I plug into the DJ soundboard,

and all of the audio gear, cables, recorders, mics,

etc., etc., etc. that I use to do that.

All of that will be covered plus much more.

Now unfortunately I have a bit of bad news though.

I do not think that B&H is gonna be live streaming my talk.

They are gonna be live streaming the talks on the main stage

but I don't think I'm gonna be speaking on the main stage.

So I don't think you're gonna be able

to watch me via live stream.

That said, I did talk to Love Stories TV

and they said that they were looking into

potentially setting up a live stream set-up of their own.

So if I find out about that, I will definitely let you know.

Worst case scenario, I will have Rachel sit in the front row

holding up an iPhone just filming it live stream,

boot-leg style like, here you guys go, this is me.

Whatever, we're gonna make it work.

Hopefully you'll be able to watch me live stream somehow.

If not, I'll try to get a recording

and upload to my YouTube channel later.

Something will happen.

Regardless, if you're in the New York City area

which according to my understanding of geography

is basically the entire east coast of the United States,

I would love if you could attend.

It would be so much fun to hang out.

And it's free, why not, it'll be awesome.

Alright, second thing to tell you about.

As I said at the time of uploading this video,

I'm currently in Iceland.

So while I may look warm and cozy in my house right now,

I am actually freezing up near the North Pole.

So I'm sure that I've been uploading

tons of pretty photos and videos

to my Instagram and Facebook pages.

If you wanna follow along, I will link to both of them

down in the description for you to check out.

Thank you so much for watching this quick update video.

I will return later this month and be back

to uploading much more often than I currently am.

Also, my give-away of the Zhiyun Crane 2 is still going on

for subscribers to my email newsletter.

So If you wanna sign up, I will have a link

down in the description for you to do so.

Thank you so much for watching and have a great day.

Why Is It So Hard to Fix Traffic? - Duration: 11:00.

[♪INTRO]

So you're sitting at an intersection in rush hour traffic, waiting for that light

to turn green.

But when it does, you can't move.

There are stopped cars in your way still.

Cars behind you start to honk, convinced that you are texting or sleeping or the incarnation

of pure evil -- but you're just as stuck as they are, and the cars in front of you...

they can't go anywhere, either.

So you just sit there, exasperatedly watching the light turn from green to yellow, and then

from yellow back to red.

And you didn't move a centimeter.

Traffic jams can be incredibly frustrating.

And if you've ever been stuck in traffic with someone else in the car, you've probably

talked through all kinds of ways that roads could've been designed better.

Maybe you'd change the timing of traffic lights so that nobody ever sat through another

green without moving.

Maybe you'd change where or how cars merge onto the highway.

Or maybe you dream bigger, and you'd add new lanes or whole new roads to give everyone

more room to drive.

But none of that is as simple as it sounds.

Scientists studying everything from fluid dynamics to psychology have contributed to

our understanding of traffic, which is a huge problem that our society has, and they have

found that traffic jams don't necessarily happen because of poorly designed roads -- or

because everyone but you is a terrible driver.

In fact, the seemingly obvious solutions to traffic sometimes make things even worse.

One of the simplest models of a traffic jam doesn't involve humans at all.

It involves a bag of rocks.

If you cut a hole in the corner of the bag, you can pour rocks out of the hole.

Obviously.

But if you try to force too many rocks through the hole, eventually they'll go through

what's called a jamming transition, and no rocks will flow at all.

There will be so much pressure on the rocks near the opening that they can't move aside

to let other rocks out and relieve the pressure, so none can fall out of the bag.

Jamming can happen whenever a bunch of objects are flowing through an opening or channel

-- whether it's rocks, or air bubbles in a liquid … or even cars moving on a road.

They move pretty freely when there aren't a lot of cars around, like on a remote highway

at night.

But when there are too many cars trying to squeeze onto the same roads, you get a jamming

transition: There are so many cars that none of them can really go anywhere.

Which means that you don't need bottlenecks or bad drivers to start a traffic jam; sometimes,

they just happen because there are too many cars in one place.

The similarities also make scientific models of those bags of rocks useful tools for engineers

trying to mitigate traffic jams — although whether driving makes you personally feel

like a rock in a bag probably depends on when and where you usually drive.

But jamming transitions are far from the only way that traffic has been studied.

Mathematicians, computer scientists, physicists, psychologists -- they all have something to

say about traffic jams.

And a lot of it turns out to be pretty counterintuitive.

Take Braess' paradox, which involves a combination of statistics and human behavior.

When traffic is caused by too many cars on the road, you would think that adding more

driving space would help — whether that means adding more roads, or more lanes to

existing roads.

Except in some cases, adding more driving space makes congestion worse, not better.

That's the paradox, and it's why alleviating rush hour traffic isn't as easy as just

widening major roads or adding more big, connecting streets.

Braess' paradox exists because drivers tend to be fairly selfish — and not just the

ones who'd cut you off right when you're trying to get on the exit ramp.

We're selfish simply because we take the route we think will be fastest.

So if you build an additional road that starts out with lighter traffic or acts as a shortcut,

people are going to take that route until it's just as congested as the roads that

it's supposed to relieve.

If drivers worked together, with some people taking the shortcut and some not taking it,

then yeah, we'd all get where we're going faster.

But we don't work together, and that makes everyone's commutes worse.

New driving space also tends to lead to more people driving in the first place, congesting

the roads even more.

So maybe it shouldn't really be all that surprising when, for example, the state of

California builds new roads to relieve older roads with lots of traffic, and it doesn't

help very much.

The new ones become just as gridlocked as the old ones within a few years.

On the flip side, removing a busy road can make traffic better in some cases.

Seoul in South Korea and San Francisco both removed freeways that carried more than a

hundred thousand people a day into and out of the cities.

In both cases, commuting was either the same or even smoother after the massive freeways

were removed and replaced with roads designed to hold way less traffic.

Some commuters gave up their cars and relied on public transit instead, while others found

more efficient routes that they'd never explored when the highway was there.

Of course, you don't want to take Braess' paradox too far.

Like, we do need some roads for our cars to travel down, and some highway expansions have

reduced traffic jams.

But planning and predicting traffic patterns definitely isn't as easy as it might seem

from the driver's seat.

And honestly, as a driver, you're probably not helping, either.

Different driving styles can have a big impact on the flow of traffic -- and drivers tend

to do a lot of things that make traffic worse for everyone around them, including themselves.

First, and maybe most obvious, there are those really aggressive drivers who weave between

lanes on the highway.

Study after study has found that driving this way tends to leave behind what are known as

traffic waves.

When someone cuts in front of you, it's natural to tap the brakes to keep from getting

too close to hitting them.

That's the safe thing to do, so I'm not saying you should stop doing that.

But when the person behind you sees your brake lights, they also tend to hit the brakes.

And they'll probably slow down just a little bit more than you did, because if they didn't,

they might get too close to you or even hit you.

The person behind them does the same thing, slowing down even more, and … you probably

see where I'm going with this.

If there are enough cars traveling close together, eventually someone way behind you comes to

a complete stop.

All because someone cut someone else off, like, a few minutes ago.

Once one car stops, so does the next car, and the next.

That's the "wave" part of the traffic wave, crashing over each successive car.

As traffic slows down in one lane, people are going to swerve out of it into the other

lanes -- which makes the people in those lanes hit the brakes as well.

And before you know it, there's a full-blown traffic jam.

Events like these can cause those jams on the highway where you spend the whole time

assuming that there's some terrible accident or construction at the end, only to just…

speed up after you hit, like, nowhere spot.

What happened!?

You know, the times when you feel really bad that you feel frustrated that there was not

an accident slowing everybody down.

One of the best ways scientists have found to avoid getting hit by the traffic wave is

to just leave more space between you and the car in front of you.

With more space between cars, you don't have to hit the brakes every time a car in

front of you hits their brakes -- and it'll make the drive easier both for you and all

of the hundreds of people behind you.

Plus, when you follow further back, you're less likely to get in a car accident.

And that's good for everybody.

This might seem like a kind of weird strategy, especially in city traffic, because you'd

think you'd miss things like traffic lights more often.

Like, if you're sitting a few cars back at a red light, it seems like you'd have

a better chance of making it through the intersection during the next light cycle if you're as

close to the light as possible.

And the only way to get closer to the light is to get closer to the car in front of you.

But when you crunch the numbers, it turns out that's just flat-out wrong.

Any gains you might get from being closer to the light are balanced out by having to

wait longer to accelerate.

Because if you're super close to the car in front of you, you have to wait for them

to start moving before you can.

But if you're farther back, you can start moving as soon as you see the light change.

As a result, cars waiting further away from the car in front of them get through intersections

just as quickly as the tailgaters.

And like on the highway, leaving more space between you and the car in front of you makes

things safer for everybody.

On top of that, aggressive drivers, who accelerate sharply and brake a lot, use around 20% more

gas than their calmer counterparts.

And they get in more minor and fatal car crashes -- without actually reducing their travel

times all that much.

But it isn't just aggressive drivers making things worse for the rest of us.

Driving too slowly or timidly can slow down traffic, too.

Some people leave plenty of room, but they still brake as soon as the person ahead brakes

the tiniest bit to avoid getting any closer.

Or, if the left lane is closed up ahead, most of us don't want to be that car that just

pulls in at the last possible moment before merging right.

And we all know how tempting it is to punish the people who do that by not letting them

merge with us when their lane ends.

But moving over way way before the lane actually ends leaves a whole bunch of unused road up

there, and it forces the cars in your lane to slow down just to let you in.

And because of traffic waves, you never just slow down the cars immediately behind you

in traffic.

There's always that ripple effect.

When a lane ends, the safest and smoothest way to merge is what's called zipper merging,

where cars stay in their lanes until the merge happens, and then cars from both lanes take

turns going forward like the teeth of a zipper.

That maybe feels inconsiderate, but zipper merging can reduce traffic congestion by about

40%, which seems, like, worth a honk or two by people who don't get it.

With subjects as variable as humans, it's essentially impossible for scientists to prescribe

a one-size-fits-all driving strategy that will make traffic flow smoother in all situations.

But you've probably noticed some patterns throughout this video: the kinds of behaviors

that make traffic worse also lead to more accidents, and that's no coincidence.

It comes back to those jamming transitions that happen with rocks: The more objects crammed

into one space, the less each one is able to move, and the more likely they are to move

into each other's space.

Which is fine when the objects in question are rocks.

It's not as fine when they're cars that have soft meat-bags inside.

And if there's one thing scientists have generally found reduces gridlock, it's leaving

more space between cars so they aren't crammed so closely together, even in slow-moving traffic.

For city traffic engineers, the trick for choosing speed limits, road patterns, lane

restrictions, and new construction projects is balance:

Balance between the physics of jamming and the psychology of driving; balance between

rush hour and the middle of the night; balance between the ideal city for traffic and the

ideal city for humans.

But as drivers, we have our own balancing acts, too.

We have to balance what we think will make our trips faster with the science of what

actually will make them faster, and we have to balance our vindictive instincts with our

empathy for the other humans around us.

So that hopefully when that next light turns red and you still haven't moved, there's

just a little bit less yelling and honking.
