Youtube daily is it Apr 6 2018

hello everyone welcome to the Thac0 Gamers and thank you for joining us in

our first impressions of elite dangerous this game is a MMO space simulator

it's pretty amazingly awesome we like it a lot and if you want to find out what

we like about it and details related to that just stay tuned

you

no more typing don't you tell me what to do you can't run my life gamers are back

what do you think that's what I do like would just mid-conversation I start the

UM you do hello everybody and welcome to the thank OU gamers as that least shows

that you've been watching the videos though that's nice well the thick Oh

gamers and today we're gonna talk about elite dangerous and I have Chad who

seems to be rearranging this room right now or maybe Matt one of them and Matt

and Matt and I have been playing elite dangerous Chad hasn't really been into

the game that much he's dabbled with it a bit but he's gonna be here just to

kind of maybe have some questions or comments about it but mostly Matt and I

will be talking about it go ahead take it Matt do so check this out man elite

dangerous take control of your own starship and a cutthroat galaxy elite

dangerous brings gaming's original open world adventure into the modern

generation with a connected galaxy evolving narrative and the entirety of

the Milky Way recreated the entirety of the Milky Way recreated and it's full

galactic portions that's insane 400 billion star systems infinite freedom

blaze your own Trail so yeah and we we were actually talking about this just

before we started the the recording here and you can go beyond the four hundred

billion stars and there was actually that story we were reading Matt I was

just about ready to tell Chad but I figured we'd save it for the stream here

but mmhmm about remember that girl that wandered out there and ran out of gas

and there was this whole like collected effort for the for the fuel rats which

is like an in-game in-game fuel delivery system basically and guild it yeah it's

a gill to help pilots who have run out of gas

idiots like me oh that was funny just called the call

the fuel rats did I'm telling you though man this game is it's amazing so we got

to talk about it okay so basically I guess we'll just go right down through

everything we'll start like we do on the other ones with the character creation

in this and I'll actually go down to my dude here it's not super amazing and

because you don't really see your guy ever except on little pictures I mean

and you kind of look down at his toes and hands on a cage I do see you every

now and then oh that's that is true when we're in the wooden rend the ships

together multi-crew is another thing we got to throw on it is so cool

so character creation is pretty basic but you still get that because that they

actually added that in later that was something that didn't come with the game

when it launched and a lot of people wanted it so they gave character

creation so and my guy my guy looks like house or just like the photo like

shoulder no you create the whole character yeah you create your pile it's

basically like the head and then body proportions and they fit the body into a

spacesuit but you have full control of you know like what your characters face

and hair looks like scars and you know pop marks and age and all that kind of

stuff so it's got a fairly in-depth but it's not like super light

end up let's try to keep this under an hour huh but no and it's in it's cool

for what it is but you don't it doesn't I don't even need it but it is kind of

nice like when you said when you're multi-crew it was neat especially

because you could play this game totally in VR and I'll do a separate review on

the VR portions of this this is just about this review here is just about the

game in general but I will mention that having that character creation was neat

sitting in VR when Matt and I were piloting a ship together and I looked

over to the left and saw his dude sitting next to me in my basement here

it was awesome I did up and walked around your ship that was so cool so now

one thing about this game is it is Eva SH as far as its this does not hold this

does not hold your hand is what I'm getting at with that this the if you

look at the reviews in my mouth if you look at the reviews on Steam if this

doesn't get a lot of love at all I know it should but it doesn't but it's

this game doesn't hold your hand it is a difficult game to get into as far as

controls and everything else and going into like the tutorials even the

tutorials you can I spent three hours three or four hours going through the

tutorials look learning how to take off to fly out of your space port to go to

find another one to lock on to it to do your frameshift Drive which is like your

warp speed over to the next star find where you need to go Landing was hell um

and when once you do it a few times though I feel like it becomes second

nature it does it's it's really tough in the beginning

yeah and I'll tell you like I started on a canoe there's you know three different

modes that you can stoop lay this game with you can play with a keyboard and

mouse you can play it with your controller no you cannot you cannot play

it with a keyboard and mouse unplayable you can try

a little bit but you were very very upset with trying who was trying to drop

out and stuff like that from where landing with horse he'd Matt would drop

out of works we didn't be like 200 miles away from me we couldn't do anything

that's true yeah but so there is that aspect to it so a lot of if you look at

the reviews online and stuff like that it's really from me having some

experience with the game it's just people that want an arcade thing they

want to go hit a button to launch and be into the combat and do that and her

because it's kind of a simulation style game there is some time where you're

just traveling to get to where you want to go but that creates such an immersion

for me that I love it I mean this I there's nothing about any of that that I

just like I think it is so cool but I just wanted to put that out there that

for a lot of people or for some people this game it is not for them just

because it does have a learning curve but it's not and this is the difference

between this game and Eve the learning curve isn't fun it's fun there are a lot

of menus but not as many as the eve yes you're actually piloting your spaceship

yeah you're flying it you're doing the combat it's not automated it's it's

pretty freaking sweet mm-hmm and as you were saying that I was going

to show some some leaving the space station and I crashed into a wall

operate a few things here but that does on occasion you said you crashed into a

ship when you were oh my god so do yourself a favor when you if you get

this game or when you get this game because you should if you're listening

to our review get at least an Xbox controller yes at least an Xbox

controller if you're not gonna go full VR you know throttle and joystick and

all that kind of stuff yeah you don't leave the Xbox controller yeah you don't

even need I mean VR is great but you don't need VR

to do the it's the hotels the hands-on throttle

and stick those are and you can find them remember that one I found at Micro

Center mat for 50 bucks yeah so that's basically the price of your Xbox

controller so if you have the room and want to do it and are buying a

controller I would recommend the throttle and stick my xbox controller

was like 15 bucks but now Matt you controlled it on both right the is how

which one was better I mean was it a was it a huge advantage having the the

throttle I've tried it on all three I actually went to Matt's and did the VR

the VR is like completely different but the controller you still use the

keyboard a little bit but basically the controller takes over like your mouse

and some automated mapped out buttons you're firing and and some of the other

things that you can do with it but it really makes the game easier to maneuver

around your spacecraft and be able to market it and do some pretty sweet

you know aerobatics and all that kind of stuff so I would definitely suggest

controller over keyboard and mouse yeah and I and I like the and I haven't

honestly used the controller I went from keyboard and mouse oh no I did I I did

use controllers when I first started it but I for me the throttle and stick are

well worth it well worth it but and I'll actually put you know what I'll probably

actually end up doing a review on these things just so people can kind of see

what they're like and but I have the SciTech x52 there are some that are

actually probably a little bit better than this that are cheaper Jack got the

thrust master but he hasn't had a chance to use it yet that much I don't think

but not a lot no yeah so but so as far as where were we on there so we were

talking about oh the tutorials the one thing I would say is make sure though

that you go through all of the tutorials and listen to what they say you can't

don't just close and skip menus sit and listen to what the woman has to say

in your ears and do what she says follow directions yes but it they do walk you

through how to do everything but there's a bit to learn to it but it is so I've

never felt so like accomplished coming out of a tutorial I know we need finish

yeah like it was so cool like when you get done with it you're like holy Sh

holy crap I just took out you know three and they'll start you off like what the

combat ones you just sit there and she's telling you okay that guy is you know

truck and illegal goods or something like that and you know you target them

and scan them and do all of the things that the game requires for these quests

that you're gonna do and then it the battle just starts right there and you

die and you could just do it over and over again so it that helped with the

combat training and everything else too is very very useful and enjoyable

tutorials and all of the tutorial stuff that you can do goes along with the

missions mm-hmm absolutely everything you learn in your tutorials you're gonna

like apply in your missions and they're not giving you a bunch of useless

knowledge they're giving you stuff that you're gonna be using throughout the

entirety of your gameplay absolutely really cool mm-hmm so I guess now the

next thing part of what they talk about in their they teach you how to travel

and they teach you how to do combat so I guess we'll kind of talk about those

things a little bit like basically for travel like where I'm at in the game

right here I just left the space station and I can open this menu system here and

pick we'll just pick Moxon's mojo is that one of those that's probably where

I'm at isn't it so I'll pick mister Accio Park and I'll lock the destination

on that so now on my radar you'll see to the left like a picture of what that

looks like that space station and then there's that little blue dot right next

to it in that little circle there and to align with it you just set that blue dot

right in the middle and you'll see it's in front of me and let me just go and

charge up and go into warp drive and head that way and

and then there's just some time and there's a there's a bit of a what would

you say like a to drop out that's a minigame in and of itself you

drop out at the right spot it takes a certain skill yes but once you do it a

couple of times you can get it like every time you know and don't rush

yourself once you do then you're gonna have to loop around and the other one

yep - Luther shame which I do all the time so so like I'm the lower left I

just went into a warp speed here and on the lower left there's a distance and

speed and there's those blue areas and you want it as you get closer to there

you want to drop your speed down to where it's in the blue and have the

distance in the blue and then you'll drop out of your warp speed and that

space station will be right there if you miss it you either loop around and come

back or you drop out in the wrong spot and you it's impossible in real time to

fly over to where you need to be you have to get back into warp speed to make

it over there so that's the same way that's the same way that you would go

like if you're you know slowing down to go into a space station that's the same

way that you would slow down to go into a planet or to go into combat and the

other one towards or to go into combat yup anything you know if you're trying

to go to a destination once you get there you can't be there and Lightspeed

or you're gonna fly past it which is have an audience true to life yes

and like over here and Matt is you must not be in here near me now but you know

if Matt and I are in the game together partied up he'll be in this list of

contacts here and I can select him and make him a target and then I can just do

the same way you do with the space stations and everything else just make

your way to where he's at and drop out at the right time to be able to help him

with combat if he's being fought we actually spent a whole night trying to

figure it out and I spent the next day researching it and finally found out

what we were doing wrong and it was we're like this is not playable at

multiplayer but one of those things you just have to pay attention you can

yeah you can't just bypass it but yeah it's really cool once you get it though

man absolutely we're cool to be sitting there fighting someone and all sudden

you hear that fly your buddy you know and there's it and it's it looks so cool

- it does but and people can pull you out of warp speed you can be in this

they're called in or dictor's and they'll just grab you all the sudden

you're flying all wacky and there's a little minigame to not get drugged out

of there but if they drag you out because you have a warrant or because

they're a bad guy or whatever you know you have to fight them or try to escape

or do whatever and we've had that happen to us before and we can interdict each

other we've just be fun and it's full pvp any players over here and most

people don't do it unless you're streaming then the viewers like to go

kill the streamers pretty funny we were streaming last night was it as a couple

nights ago I think yeah we had a guy jump in chat and he was like where are

you guys but he found out though but then he was like oh you guys were on PC

I was on ps4 so yeah he fessed up other streamers so community semi sort of

toxic no I wouldn't say that I think the community is actually pretty sweet so

tell me how do you how do you get the different ships are there all kinds of

different ships yes people could be in yes that work oh my gosh basically you

just know I just dropped out here's a space station here just to kind of let

people know about that but anyways I'm just gonna park now and we'll talk and

I'll put some B footage in there but you go out and do the quests and just like

any game where you're trying to get armor and upgrades or whatever you go

out and quest and get money and come back and and purchase them and there is

a really cool video I'm actually gonna put a link in the description to it that

shows each ship and the scale of what they are if it don't ever send that to

you Matt yeah oh my god it's ridiculous the ship not the ship that you start

with is like a fleet of the size of a house once they scale up to these

biggest ships that are in there it's ridiculous come on they're massive and

some of them like the biggest they're bigger ships you can you know they've

got multi capabilities but they've also got like I mean you can put you can put

another person in your ship but you can also put like two or three people in

your ship and then there's you know ones controlling guns and shields and the

other ones controlling you know all this like chefs and you know anti-aircraft

missile-defense and all that kind of stuff but there's also ones that you can

put other ships in that's how big they are you put other ships in and basically

what happens if you have a multi crew and picture this you've got this big

huge hauler ship and you're flying through this you know space and you're

flying through space to go to your destination may be delivering some goods

or something like that and all sudden you get interdicted you get pulled out

and there's two or three ships flying around you've got three buddies and your

ship could drop it and just jump into a ship and they fly out and defend you yup

and they're just sitting there it's like Star Wars when like the star cruisers

show up and then the TIE fighters and everything all pop out and start

fighting and it feels like Star Wars when you're in a combat zone it's

ridiculous dude I'm telling you I went into a high conflict high-intensity

conflict zone and it scared the crap out of me this huge like I had no idea man

like this thing just came in it said I was trying to get away from somebody and

I said that I couldn't jump into warp speed because of the gravitational pull

of something and then all the sudden this big ship just flies in over my

intercom I hear over my intercom it leg literally took up my whole screen it

says you need to get out of here or else we're gonna start firing at you

I was like okay 10:40 dude I mean this thing flies in and ships are just

tacking it it literally was like a space battle in Star Wars it was just it's

great night so that being talking about the multi

crew I mean that was something that they had added later and it is a lot of fun

Matt and I have had a lot of fun with that and we had heard bad things about

it but I think they've patched a lot of that stuff out or something that people

had gripes with because I thought it was a blast when we went through and did

those multi crew missions and stuff I had a really good time with it it was

really fun and it was it was pretty seamless I mean it goes to a quick load

screen but it is fairly quick and immediately pops your you know other

person into the seat next to you and you can look at them and you know you don't

see what it actually looks like it's cool I mean they're pretty detailed with

everything that they do you know I mean if your guy goes to move his hand

forward it shows it you know I know it's cool so it's it's pretty pretty sweet so

now as far as that when you're together or even if you're by yourself there's

all the kind of missions that you can do in there too and there's like I don't

know there's a combat missions there's mining you can go out and just mine or

off of asteroids and you can do that to make a living if you want um you can

trade and you can transports from yeah bring goods from one place to another

also known as transportation yep you can also buy well you can buy it's all it's

a market though but not like a player driven market and that's it is player

driven but not in the way that you're used to like with the auction house and

World of Warcraft right it's player driven in the sense that you can go to a

place and purchase like kind of a and this is where it gets Eva but it's not

as bad as it sounds but you can purchase like a thing that shows what commodities

are needed in what areas and it'll also show what things are available in areas

so you can see that you know some type of ore is really needed in the LHS three

whatever system and that's ten light jumps away or whatever you can and it's

available where you're at you can by it there and take it to where they

need it and and the further away you go that it where it's not available for

them you can get a ton of money for that and the more people that do those the

game actually kind of calculates like oh okay

there's more of this or here they don't need that anymore and these the pieces

drop the prices stuff yep the prices drop and you are actually affecting the

market in the same thing with when you do quest if there is a if you go into a

system and there's two factions battling for control of that system you can

choose to side with one or the other or do quest for one or the other and as the

player base does quest for one side or the other that will eventually determine

who wins and takes control or if it's a constant Civil War because both sides

are getting equal amounts of help so that is all you know kind of built into

the game and it's it's pretty neat how you have every person has an effect and

you you can play this game in single-player mode you can start the

game off and just go in single-player but all of the things that you do still

have an effect on the economy of this whole world

so you're still online as far as the quests that are available the factions

that control everything the marketplace and everything else so everything that

you do is still gonna have an effect on all of that which is awesome and believe

me even if you're playing solo the NPC's that are flying pirate ships and all

that kind of stuff are douchebags the elite ones thoroughly they're hardened

yes they are like world of warcraft elite where you can just run up there

and it takes a little bit longer to take them out yeah oh you have to fly your

ass off so what happens if your ship gets destroyed if your ship gets

destroyed you basically have and I'll actually show it on the menu here three

four oh that's right change this up inventory

oh it's there right here so right now I have half a million credits I had a lot

more but Matt and I exploded a lot tonight but my rebuy cost for the ship

that I have is 27,000 credits so if I die basically you just need to have

enough insurance money available to rebuy everything if I don't have that

27,000 credits when I die I lose my ship and go back to the starter ship so you

just need to make sure and 27,000 credits is not it's like two quests or

one orbea not even one if you do a bigger one yeah yeah so it's not much

money at all like I don't have I've had much more money than this but I have a

bunch of ships now as well you know Matt these two if we just as soon as we get

money we spend it but two-person ship that I have when that blows up it costs

me like one point six mil yeah it sucks so but yeah it's not that that's

basically all that happens you don't lose everything you just lose a little

bit of money so just don't be stupid and make sure you have enough money when you

go out to be able to rebuy what you have and if you don't if you don't have

enough money for it you can either get another free starter ship or you can

pick one of the like I have a bunch of ships and storage and I can just pick

one of those and get them so that's kind of how that works right so the next

thing that unless you had something else to talk about with missions was there

anything that is down there okay no so the graphics on this game I

think are awesome I love them playing like him too and I'm not even playing on

VR it is a super cool VR like I said that'll be another video but yeah the

graphics in here are so good I well I don't know as far as the space games

because when I played what was that other one that came no man's sky you

know or Eve well even had pretty decent graphics too or okay but this is just

it's you know I wouldn't say it's the best looking game in the world but this

is a nice looking game and I it's it's beautiful to like if

you're into the space travel kind of stuff it is super cool and you can come

up to a planet and just fly like if it's a landable one

so with horizons you can land on a lot of these now but you can go and just

like in no man's sky or anything else you come right up to this planet and it

just broadens out and before you know it the horizon is completely you know it's

not curved anymore you'll start to see all the craters and everything and it

works so well how you just come into this planet it's very cool and then you

can land and get on your little rover and drive around and shoot things and do

quests down there they have little ports and space ports and stuff where you do

quests on the planets and stuff too so but I think the graphics are great I was

gonna say I think they've done it so well transitioning from like from open

space to star port or from you know open space to planet from planet Landing

because you don't the only time you ever see a loading screen is when you're

docked at a station and you're going from one menu to the other right you

don't ever see a loading screen when you go from space to a planet or from planet

to touchdown it's all just seamless and its really draws you in you know it's

very immersive in that way so I was taking a drink of water there it's a

little bit of a delay and I thought you're gonna say like a couple more

words I thought I had a second now as far as what are your opinions on

gameplay there Matt it's tough it's tough at first but it begins to get

easier and once it gets a little bit easier I mean even combat still for me

right now is really hard well later on just talk about the quest we just tried

doing right before we started this video basically this quest is going to a Kyle

you know a low-intensity conflict zone and

side with one side getting feedback so you go into a conflict zone side with

one side and then try and destroy eight of their aircraft or spacecraft and it's

it's hard mm-hmm I mean you fly into a conflict zone and it's basically like

matt said you know all-out war were ships are firing on ships back and forth

and if you decide I'm gonna side with this side they're you know all the other

ones they don't immediately target you but you become a target mm-hmm and you

know they'll target you and they won't relent you know it's if they're on you

dude these guys are shooting everything they got at you because they're trying

to stay alive - and these are all NPCs yeah and you know as far as I know I

mean it's it's really tough the gameplay is hard but once you you know you play

it you get better at it just like any other game and it draws you in it's hard

but satisfying though I mean it's one of those games we were getting involved

with some stuff that we shouldn't get involved into but you and I took on a

couple of guys that were ranked quite a bit like two or three ranks all of us

and that's a lot like one rank is a lot it's not like a level in an MMO I mean

there's like five or six rankings totally to go from elite down to useless

or whatever the first one is that we are but you know we took on a got some guys

that were you know a couple ranks above us and when we took him out I mean one

we were cheering like I remember cheering and and we were

just we had learned a little bit about it and how to take them out and what to

do and change in our weapons up a little bit so we could take their shields down

faster you don't want stuff like that that

really you know it was just really satisfying when we got those kills and

another thing that was cool too when we were doing it they I've told you so many

times planets I've never felt like Han Solo ever before

Skywalkers piloting a ship except when i play this game when we get into those

and I can see you flying around and we're talking and then they immerse you

that much more like we use discord for everything discord or mumble for voice

chat all the time except in this game we close all that crap out and we chat in

game because because it sounds like those radios those like am radios or

whatever they're in games no I never have either time that we played I sounds

really cool when we first started playing I thought we were having

problems on occasion but I found out it's built into the game mm-hmm that

voice chat in the game sometimes will get kind of garbled but they're doing

that to simulate like how those radios sound or like you know a ham radio or

whatever you know it's really cool that that gets has that a.m. sound that

telephony sound oh yeah but it's perfect it's absolutely nails it it's just these

Star Wars of reference all the time but just like when they're you know red 3

ready you know standing by or whatever you know what I mean like we feel like

that when we're playing it it's so awesome dude yeah I'm telling you if you

haven't bought this game by the time the young Han Solo movie comes out go watch

it you're gonna come back and you're gonna buy this game make sure you have

it at the very minimum a controller a controller with it so one of the things

she had had mentioned or asked was like the story in the game like what the

story has to or if there is any or whatever so we figured we kind of touch

on that too it's mostly a sandbox game it's mostly a make-your-own story you

know there is a big overall arc that's going on and you do kind of have an

effect in it but you don't play through a story necessarily right it's sandbox

you go in you make your emergent your a pirate or whatever you want to be in

this and you kind of played through your story but at the same time they've done

I know in the previous patches they brought an alien race that supposedly

hadn't existed for you know hundreds of millions of years or whatever and they

shown back up and they're kind of messing with people mm-hmm and frontier

the developers didn't tell anyone they didn't let the cat out of the bag about

what's going on and why these things are here they'll just be flying along and

get interdicted and then these aliens will shut all their stuff down and then

they'll do some scans and do some other stuff and either you don't screw them

over or just leave them alone so people were trying to find out the community

was trying to figure out what these aliens are here for and what they're

doing and with this most recent expansion that they just released

they've advanced that part of the story a little bit more you can get I think a

ship to fight the aliens now right and some of their technology and stuff like

that with this most recent expansion so there is an overall story arc but it's

your kind of a passive you're not affecting it necessarily but you

couldn't be affected by the story if that kind of makes sense yeah okay so I

don't was anything I missed on that man I know I'm talking a lot of this one I

really like like when you because you're trying for a long time to get me to buy

this uh-huh and I would log into steam and I would see how Matt's plainly

dangerous again and what a loser but not so much because as soon as they bought

it it went on sale I think it did yes when I bought it yeah so went on sale I

purchased it then and did it hooked me like right away yup like every time Matt

got on he was like dude I'm really glad that you're enjoying this game I know I

and I was worried I even told you because of how the ratings are on Steam

and everything else I was reluctant to push you into it too much because I

didn't want you to I didn't know why you go spend that kind of money and then to

either not play with me or did not enjoy the game you know what I mean so you

know I was definitely reluctant to to push you too hard into it but I think

it went on sale cuz it's normally 30 bucks a get went on sale for like 750 or

something on Steam so if you're on the fence wait for that sale come around

again it's well worth the money hmmm well worth it and we ended up

getting like the full commanders pack with all the expansions and the other

survivors and then what do they do like they do like the year

anything that releases within the year or some kind of like kind of like this

one if so long as you own horizons you got

which was 2.0 you got 3.0 for free mm-hmm so you still if you buy the game

today you can buy the original game which is

the original game and if you buy that expansion that horizons expansion pack

you'll get horizons and this one which was what was this one called again

something chapter one beginning so that's kind of how the story in the

expansions and basically what horizons brought in they brought in character

creation they brought in landing on planets quests on planets introduced the

alien race called beyond beyond the new 1s okay yep so it feels like they're

starting to add more narrative though I mean which is a really good thing I

think they are this good I did see the graphics I mean like said I don't have

the experience like you guys have it all but I mean it is a gorgeous game I think

especially I know you're gonna talk about VR another time but the VR 2 was

just that I played it your house and that day is like all I absolutely gonna

have to get this in VR I know it's that nice and it's cool because you can if

you don't have a VR now but you want to get one someday you can buy elite now

and play it normal and it's this is the VR version when you launch it it just

ask if you want to play it in VR or normal which most you know most games

you'll buy a second VR like if Skyrim and

all out and all these other ones that come out you have to buy the another

game to be able to play those games in VR and this one you just get the whole

thing and another thing that's cool about elite if you buy it on Steam

you also can just download the client and play it outside of steam and you can

get it on oculus yep so that's one of I think it's the only game I've ever seen

where you buy it and it's just available on all of the platforms to download

which is amazing that's super awesome because I have an oculus and I've been

launching it from Steam and I prefer to not do that if you know what I mean but

I wasn't gonna buy it again on oculus and when I found out you could do that

they give you a key for each one when you get that which is cool and the

developers have been very good about paying attention to the players and

really I think crafting a game around the players I mean they're doing what

they want to do but they're they're doing a lot of patches and a lot of just

things like that you know given the keys out to everybody and stuff not making

people buy it twice if they decide they want it on VR or whatever right they're

giving you the options yeah to play which is pretty cool which yeah like I

said most developers won't do you know you don't want fortnight on PC you're

getting it on PC if you want box you have to buy an xbox you know so I guess

what was oh the cash shop was one of the other things too we had talked about so

and basically that does have a cash op but it's pretty much cosmetic I haven't

been in there and bought anything so you'll have to be owned solely to speak

of that Mac because I'm I don't know I haven't bought anything either pops up

ever no yeah it pops up every time and I was looking at they actually changed my

characters outfit today so I mean there are some things that you can do without

purchasing them but the cash op is aesthetic and it's it's basically just

skins for you know paint jobs for your ship and you know the color of your

lasers or the colors of your thrusters that kind of thing so it's it's you know

nothing's gonna break the game by going no one's gonna break the game by going

into the cash up or hails right we live in space so I

don't know I guess I think we've pretty much covered everything that there is

you know do you know of anything that we've missed or that we not that I can

think of should have talked about

horizons is really cool um being able to go down to the planets really immerses

you because I don't think this game would be as fun if you couldn't go down

to the planets oh for sure I mean that adds a huge huge element huge element to

the game yeah I mean just being able to see I'm an explorer and that's I liked

no man's sky but it got repetitive after a while but I enjoyed the first couple

hours like everyone else did of getting in a ship flying somewhere dropping down

to the going down to the planet checking out what was there and then moving on

and doing the next thing to the next one and that feeling you get of leaving and

then the next one coming in and throwing that into this game is awesome now

there's not life on all of these planets like there are and you know and no man's

sky every planet is inhabited by weird dinosaurs with duck bills and legs

coming out of their ass and whatever else they have on there you know so

that's what made that like discovering life wasn't really interesting on no

man's sky when I played it because every place I went had it mm-hmm you know so

these are just like flying or if you're flying around the solar system which you

can do you can target you know what one thing we didn't mention that we do need

to bring up before we get going here is the map I know you talked about oh man

the galaxy map so okay so here we are I'm just gonna zoom out I am in this

star system right here now these are stars these are whole different solar

systems here and I'm gonna zoom out then you know I don't know what's in here 20

stars maybe now all these little blue and green specks are all stars on here

and there's hundreds of them and then you zoom out and there's probably

hundreds of thousands of them and now you zoom out and when you look at the

whole speck of the galaxy we're just on this tiny little cloud outside of here

and this is how I mean this is the Milky Way this is not just I mean it is so so

huge and this is basically the only place people are playing right like it's

actively playing it's massive mm-hmm but you can go wherever you want to go in

here just take off and it's pretty amazing and you can but you can find the

Sun and you can target the Sun and actually go there which I'll do here

I'll check and see how far away it is from where we're at so it's a little

ways away I was gonna say I think it's really far from where we are but we

haven't traveled that far away from where we started either mm-hmm but so

and then you can go into the solar system map and it shows it linearly but

so this is our Sun and Mercury Venus there's earth and you can actually

target this and fly around to earth which is pretty cool a stations there

yeah there's one called Abraham Lincoln or something let me see oh that's the

moon yeah the Abraham Lincoln is one of them and then the leek wing Joe and the

the M Gorbachev I didn't know there was a Gorbachev that's funny yeah and then

the moon has a satellite orbiting it and it's the Galileo oh so there's a space

station that's actually circling our moon as well and you can I mean you can

go check out all these moons around Neptune and Jupiter and fly through the

asteroid belt I mean this it's just cool that you can do that so that's just the

one thing I wanted to show like the enormity of the Normandy yeah and not

only is it you know the four hundred billion stars that they talked about but

they also go beyond that and what they do is they call it the void and it's

vastly unexplored and there's no space stations or anything out there that

anybody knows of yeah but that's the thing it's you know no

one knows for sure exactly there could be one out there so

I would say I'm definitely obviously keeping this game installed it is

amazing it is a lot of fun I would recommend it to anyone that's into space

exploration and a realistic space game if you want you know space invaders or

you know what I mean that this isn't that if you want space invaders and Eve

playing field this is that for you but if you want

something that's actually you know a game that is assimilated you know it's

simulating you flying through space and doing what you want with your ship yeah

this game is for you this game is definitely it's a lot of fun graphics

are great the gameplay is fun there's a little bit of waiting getting from one

area to another sometimes but if you're if you enjoy the thought of exploring

space you that makes you feel like an explorer you wouldn't feel like it if

you were just popping into Planet all the time you know planets planets and

whatever it didn't have to wait two or three minutes to get from place to place

or sometimes longer right but that's usually when I'm googling stuff that I

don't know about the game yeah but yeah I'm definitely keeping this one

installed and trying to talk chat into it you know we got to get him to start

playing it with us so we got Jason into it he's a holler

I'm yes he is I like to call myself a freedom fighter I'm just a mercenary I

just do whatever and then explode I have no longer needed here boom have you had

your cockpit windows shut out yes it's awesome

sucks um same time it's pretty freakin sweet because you have a life support

system on the ship and it kicks in and it's like telling you you know you've

got this much time to either get back to a base or you're gonna die

so it's pretty cool it is pretty awesome and there's I'm just gonna move

it's neat watching the sticks move when you move the sticks yourself and when

this place exploded on me when that when I died the last time and everything was

started smoking near my feet in the windshield got all cracked and like shit

on the left started lighting on fire and stuff and I'm like oh god this doesn't

look good but when you were self-destructing your ship earlier oh

yeah after where we were he goes I think my headsets correct oh yeah he puts it

back on it it's his frickin cockpits correct yeah it was the helmet that my

guy had on that tool was cracked and I was like I was like oh my god there's

something seriously wrong with my VR so I would take it out and look and I'm

like it's light getting in or something what's going on and I put it I put the

oculus back on and I'm like oh this is horrible I'm pissed because I can't

return this thing now and and then I finally realized I looked on the screen

on you know because it's same things on my computer screen as well and I'm like

oh the cracks are there but it totally had me buying it that my headset was

like cracked or something that's pretty funny yeah it was pretty awesome but and

I had a sense of dread as well so yeah it's kind of uncomfortable watching all

this stuff ready to go but so thank you guys for joining us if you liked the

video please like subscribe to all that kind of stuff we're live streaming a

little bit more often you can check Matt out at play Matt's gaming on YouTube and

twitch and also the fake owe gamers are on twitch feel brought feel free to

swing by and give either of us a view on their if we happen to be playing a game

that you're interested in and I guess that's it yeah give us thumbs ups and

follows and all that kind of stuff because we want to do this for a living

we decided we're gonna quit our real job lots and lots of phone numbers we're

gonna be really really irresponsible parents and quit our jobs and do this

it's not going yeah

so anyways thank you everybody for joining us

Thank You Chad for being a bystander here in the video and for throwing a

little bit info in and questions and comments because you think of things

that people probably would have thought of and we wouldn't have said so no

worries it was fun so all right we'll see you guys later

Congress Makes It Official – Hillary Clinton and James Comey Set To Be Investigated By Special Couns - Duration: 16:16.

Congress Makes It Official – Hillary Clinton and James Comey Set To Be Investigated By

Special Counsel

Two days after President Trump requested to know why "Hillary's wrongdoings" were

not being explored, the correction requires the Justice Department to choose a unique

advice to research the shady dealings of James Comey, Loretta Lynch and Hillary Clinton amid

the last race cycle.

The correction, first announced by the Washington Post, requests data on "spills by James

B. Comey," on "the appropriateness and outcome of resistance bargains given to conceivable

Hillary Clinton co-plotters" and Comey's choice to "usurp the expert of then-Attorney

General Loretta Lynch in his irregular declaration that criminal allegations would not be brought

against" Clinton.

Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., a co-supporter of the alteration, said he intends to "push

back" against "allegations" that are diverting from the plan of President Trump

and Republicans in Congress.

"The primary concern is we are worn out on inactively giving individuals a chance

to make allegations to stuff our plan and they should react to claims we know exist

about their unfortunate behavior," Biggs said in a meeting, alluding to Clinton and

different Democrats focused in the change, including Susan Rice, previous President Barack

Obama's national security guide.

IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING

Washington Examiner reports: The correction requires the Justice Department to name an

uncommon insight to investigate the Justice Department and FBI's treatment of the Clinton

email examination.

"For as long as quite a long while, Democrats have deterred equity and hindered each Congressional

examination conceivable," said Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, another supporter of the alteration,

in an announcement to the Washington Examiner.

"The two gatherings have scrutinized James Comey over the previous year for his execution

as FBI chief.

Indeed, even Sen. Feinstein [Dianne] says there ought to be an examination concerning

Loretta Lynch and James Comey's treatment of the Clinton examination.

We should have an extraordinary advice for that and perceive how genuine congressional

Democrats are tied in with getting to reality."

The change, additionally supported by Reps. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., and Mike Johnson, R-La.,

will be connected to a bill from Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., that demands the Justice

Department give records identified with Comey's terminating.

Lately, Trump has grumbled on Twitter that Attorney General Jeff Sessions has not moved

to examine Clinton on different issues irrelevant to her utilization of a private email server

while she was secretary of state.

The moderate created alteration asks the Justice Department to clarify for what reason the

FBI did not further explore Clinton for "pitching access to the U.S. State Department through

Clinton Foundation gifts."

Biggs demanded he and his partners did not document their alteration to do the offering

of Trump.

"This involves looking for equity," Biggs said.

"It's what this is constantly about.

On the off chance that you don't look for equity, individuals lose confidence and trust

in their agents."

Notwithstanding Clinton and Comey, the alteration targets Rice, who a few moderates contend

improperly looked for the personalities of individuals near Trump — in a procedure

known as "unmasking" — whose interchanges were caught after the race in observation

of nonnatives

by U.S. spy offices.

ENFP and INFP Productivity Tip: Making It EASIER by DOING MORE - Dreams Around The World - Duration: 6:26.

So I don't know about you but when I have a day where I don't get very much

done I tend to feel like crap about myself afterwards unless of course it

was intentional like I'm on holiday or just relaxing but when I mean to get

things done I don't I tend not to feel that good but there's a weird sort of

math that goes on with getting things done I don't know if you've ever had

days like this like us say a Sunday where the whole day is empty and the

only priority I'd said is like okay well at least exercise today do something and

it's like that doesn't even get done a lot of Xbox maybe cuz played or some you

know Netflix watch but nothing productive happened with the whole day

free and then there's other days like today where it's not even noon here I

have been to the gym I've written up a whole bunch of videos I want to film and

I'm filming videos and it's not even noon and then I'm gonna have meetings

and then do some more filming and then get all this email stuff done and how

the heck does that happen well my theory is that if you are wired

a little bit like me if you happen to be maybe an ENFP, INFP, or an adrenaline junkie or

someone who needs stimulation that the more you actually do the easier it will

become see I don't know if you've had this where like you have a test the next

day or a project at its deadline and then suddenly you're able to focus well

this is coming from essentially not really adrenaline but stress hormones

which then cause like dopamine and releases of these different chemicals in

your brain which help you focus very similar to like adderall would do and so

what happens is when you are like two weeks before your projects due yeah I

don't care it'll it'll get done and then it's like the night before and your

brain feels the stress of failing because brains don't like to fail just

like anything else and it releases all these chemicals tied to the stress and

you're just like okay let's get this done and then you get it done right well

I think that's maybe what happened when you get a lot busier as well so if you

have sort of an empty day planned you don't have an

need to like do things quickly there's this thing Tim Ferriss talked about in

the 4-hour workweek I think that's Pareto's principle or law

or no Parkinson's law which is where the size of a task will swell up based on

how much time you allocate to it right so if you have a whole day to do

something you'll be like whoa this is gonna be so hard and you'll

procrastinate it and all that or if you give yourself 20 minutes to do all your

emails for the day it'll be really quick you'll just like get them done and

you'll prioritize and all that and you'll just focus on what's important

and so because of this like whether it's the extra stimulation or feeling more

like excited or interesting or whatever I'm finding more and more that the more

stuff I'm doing the more stuff I get done and the better I feel and the more

efficient I am with my time so I might challenge you that if you're having

trouble sort of focusing or getting much done step back and look at like how

close to your potential are you right now with what you're trying to do is it

sort of like a really easy work schedule you're taking on are your projects a

little limp a little easy maybe that's why you're having trouble focusing on

them if you were to load up a lot of new projects a lot more to do that extra

stimulation and excitement would allow you to get a lot more done and be a lot

more effective now I know it's some of my other videos I talk about focus and

not having shiny object syndrome and not trying to do too many things at watch

right so how do these come together cuz you probably Dan what the hell are you

talk about you just told me not to do too many things and now you're telling

me do everything and I get it okay I'm a little emotional these days I say all

kinds of crazy things know what it is is don't do things that really are like

from totally different parts of your life like contradictory things don't try

to start like a fitness gym and a like frozen yogurt stand

and have a paper route all the same time that's not gonna work very well right

but within your business you try to do like either more ambitious projects or

take on sort of multiple projects at once depending on how your own brain

will work better be more ambitious yeah that's what you're doing and what you're

trying to take on so make it more challenging so you have more to do and

all that maybe as you get more settled in one business it is okay to add like a

second business or a second part of your business or expand things once something

is really solidified and working consistently right so it's not that you

can never do multiple things but if you're in sort of an early phase

definitely don't try to do multiple like different projects and businesses at

once but try to do more ambitious projects try to work with more

challenging clients try to set bigger goals for yourself all this will require

you to really step up and you know who you are and how you're performing and I

think you're gonna find that you end up delivering a lot more and then of course

you know feeling better about yourself and more confident and getting better

results and then getting money and then you'll fall in love and then you'll buy

a nice car and then you'll be like I don't need this nice car I'm loved and

happy and then you'll sell that nice car and then who knows what else could be

happening in your life thanks for watching this video if you've enjoyed my

Experiments That ALMOST DESTROYED our Planet! - Duration: 12:35.

From the Large Hadron Collider located in Switzerland, to the first nuclear device detonated

in space, here are 8 experiments that could have destroyed the world.

Number 8: The Kola Superdeep Borehole

When astronauts landed on the moon in 1969, humans had conquered space.

Although space was so well understood, people knew little about the earth's core.

A year later, Soviet scientists began excavating the deepest hole in the world.

It was on the Kola Peninsula of Russia and took 24 years of excavating to reach a depth

of 40,000 feet (12.2 kilometers).

They couldn't dig further due to extreme temperatures of about 356 °F (180°C).

The hole terrified many people.

Some feared that it would allow demons to escape from the pits of hell.

Some claimed the hole would cause seismic disasters like volcanic eruptions.

Rumors also spread that the diggers heard cries of damned souls emanating from the bottom.

In the end, we learned more about the earth's geology than ever before.

They filled the hole with concrete, and abandoned the site in 2008.

Number 7: Project Cirrus

Project Cirrus is an experiment right from the military's black vault.

On October 13, 1947, scientists flew an airplane over a hurricane heading west from east, and

far from the land.

The crew dropped 180 pounds of frozen carbon dioxide, known as dry ice over it.

Their mission was to cool the storm, enough to precipitate the water and form normal clouds.

After sowing the hurricane with dry ice, it changed color and direction by 120 degrees.

It then slammed into the town of Savannah Georgia killing one person, and causing $3.2

million in damages.

The US government conducted similar experiments from 1962 to 1983.

This time, under the name Project Stormfury, and with silver iodide replacing dry ice.

They later concluded that hurricanes lack enough super-cooled water for effective seeding.

Number 6: Starfish Prime

Nuclear bomb tests have occurred in most environments.

Like underwater to depths of 600 m, aboveground, and underground to depths of more than 2,400

m.

Some bombs have been detonated from balloons, on top of towers, in horizontal tunnels, and

in space.

The United States Air Force made history by detonating Starfish Prime in space, on July

9, 1962.

When it exploded 248 miles over the Pacific Ocean, the 2,200-pound bomb yielded 1.44 megatons

of force.

The night sky lit up in a dancing red aura for seven minutes, but not without consequences,

of course.

The resultant electromagnetic pulse destroyed electrical systems 800 miles away.

But, the biggest threat was the destruction of the earth's geomagnetic field.

It deflects solar winds, whose charged particles can strip away our ozone layer.

Without an ozone layer, no life on earth would be possible.

Before we go on, can you guess the number of nuclear bombs ever detonated?

There have been 2,000 nuclear explosions.

It's amazing that we're still surviving.

Number 5: Bio-weapons Experiments

Governments around the world experiment with chemical and bio-weapons in secret.

That includes the United States, North Korea, Russia, China, among others.

The most dreaded bioweapons include Anthrax, Botulism, Smallpox, Tularemia, Ebola Virus,

and Marburg.

Here are some details about anthrax.

Anthrax is caused by the spores of the Bacillus anthracis bacteria.

It's one of the most produced biological weapon in the lab, but also found in nature.

The spores can enter the human body through the skin, digestive system, and the lungs.

Its symptoms are flu-like, but also include muscle aches, chest discomfort, lethargy,

and shortness of breath.

Weaponizing anthrax involves, mixing the spores with food, water, sprays, and powders.

In 1979, a deadly anthrax outbreak in the city of Sverdlovsk in Russia claimed 94 lives.

The Soviets were experimenting with bio-weapons despite the Biological Weapons Convention

of 1972.

Top nations had outlawed stockpiling, development, and the production of toxic and biological

weapons.

The USSR also attempted to weaponize the Plague, Marburg Virus, and the Ebola Virus.

In 2001, the USA reported its first anthrax attack.

Four letters laced with anthrax spores were sent via the US Postal system.

The recipients included Senators Tom Daschle and Patrick Leahy, NBC news anchor Tom Brokaw,

and the New York Post.

About 43 people tested positive for the disease, and five died.

Despite treaties and conventions, experiments that aim at weaponizing chemicals and pathogens

continue.

Let's hope that an accident, as often depicted in apocalyptic movies, will not end humanity.

Number 4: Artificial Intelligence

Whether you like it or not, artificial intelligence is the future.

Now, picture computers that think, talk, learn, communicate, replicate, and repair themselves.

Are you still wondering how AIs destroy the world?

There are some theories put forward.

Oxford philosopher Nick Bostrom warns us of the creation of a machine capable of improving

itself in this century.

A time will come when it learns to make money from online transactions.

Then, use the proceedings to buy parts from the real world.

Since it's super-intelligent, it will figure out how to ship and use the parts to build

simple nanosystems.

These will become complex systems, enhancing its power to influence the world.

If humans try to stop it from improving, it will create weapons and wage war.

If we are unable to stop the advancement of robots, they will wipe us off the face of

the planet, and dominate.

K. Eric Drexler, a pioneer of molecular nanotechnology suggests a different end-of-the-world scenario.

He came up with the Grey goo theory, where self-replicating nanobots destroy the earth.

Picture one self-replicating molecular nanobot floating in a bottle of chemicals and minerals.

It can use the resources to make copies of itself.

One molecular nanobot makes another in one thousandth of a second.

Two more bots make others in the same interval.

By the end of ten hours, you would have over 68 billion nanobots.

They would outweigh the earth in two days, and consume all biomass.

First, look at the advancements in robotics, before dismissing this as science fiction.

Number 3: Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI)

SETI's goal is to answer man's troubling question.

Is there life on other planets, stars, or galaxies?

For this purpose, the SETI Institute has set up the Allen Telescope Array in California,

US.

The facility has 42 telescopes involved in astronomical observations.

They also search for extraterrestrial intelligence.

SETI also monitors for radio transmissions from other planets.

Beyond observations, the institute sends signals into space.

"What is in the signals," you may ask.

Right about everything that would give hostile aliens, instructions on how to invade and

conquer us.

Some of the messages include the human DNA, a detailed map, and instructions on how to

locate earth, pictures of humans, and even the total population of the earth.

Do people even believe that aliens exist?

A poll conducted by YouGov found out that 65 percent of American men and 46 percent

of women believe in aliens.

Furthermore, there have been snapshots of flying saucers.

People have collected debris from crash landings, and reported thousands of alien abductions.

So, are we alone in the universe?

Are there friendly aliens and nasty ones?

Will the aliens find us ugly and hideous?

Will they take us back to their planet, where we will slave in their factories all our lives?

Tell us your thoughts in the comments below:

Number 2: Tsar Bomba

As America, tested the first nuclear bomb in the deserts of New Mexico, those involved

feared it would ignite the atmosphere.

Questioned about this possibility, scientists stated that the odds were one in 10 billion.

But, if there was any bomb that could have burnt the atmosphere, it had to be the Tsar

Bomb, detonated by the Soviet Union on 30 October 1961

It yielded 51 megatons of TNT, making it 1,570 times more powerful than Hiroshima and Nagasaki

combined.

Its cloud was 64 km (40 miles) seven times the height of Mt. Everest and had a base of

40 km (25 miles).

It flattened brick buildings 55 km (34 miles) away from ground zero.

And, the shock wave cracked windows 900 kilometers (560 miles) from the blast site.

The people that dropped the bomb were given a 50 percent chance of surviving.

Later, the soviets reported that its full potential was 100 megatons.

Why detonate such a monster?

Well, the Soviets were flexing their nuclear capabilities, nothing more.

Present nuclear treaties limit the testing of such atrocities.

But, countries continue to expand their nuclear capacities.

In fact, Trump's first order as President from a tweet he made was to renovate and modernize

America's nuclear arsenal.

Number 1: The Large Hadron Collider

This scientific experiment has sparked many conspiracy theories.

Most, due to misgivings about the project, which in turn spark fear since humans fear

the unknown.

So, what is it?

Could it destroy the world?

The European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN, operates the largest particle physics

lab.

It sits on the Franco–Swiss border, northwest of Geneva.

Here, they experiment with sub particles.

Typical experiments involve speeding up and colliding the particles in the Large Hadron

Collider.

By doing this, they aim to unveil all the mysteries of the universe.

Their biggest discovery yet, was the higgs boson particle, believe to give all matter

mass.

Let's look at the LHC.

It has a circumference of 27 kilometers (17 mi).

And it's larger than the 3834 m, Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider located in Upton, New York.

So, it's called large since it's bigger than its cousin.

It accelerates ions or protons, which belong to the Hadron group of subatomic particles.

That explains that term "Hadron."

It's a "Collider" because the accelerated particles form two beams that travel in opposite

directions.

And, collide at four points around the machine.

You can also think of the LHC as a succession of superconducting machines connected in a

row.

Each machine accelerates the beam to a certain speed before injecting it to another machine,

which accelerates it to higher speeds, and so on.

It's housed 100 feet below the surface, in tunnels once occupied by the Large Electron

Positron Collider, decommissioned in year 2000.

This makes it easier to maintain specialized conditions since its magnets have to be cooled

down to 456.34 °F (-271.3°C).

So, why do people fear the LHC?

There is a tiny possibility that it can create quantum black holes.

These are regions in space where gravity is so powerful that even light cannot escape.

CERN has acknowledged that LHC experiments could create micro black holes.

But, it maintains that you will need 10 times the mass of the sun to create a black hole

capable of swallowing the earth.

It's also feared that the LHC might open a portal to another dimension giving passage

to the devil and his demons.

CERN says that this is not possible.

Another fear is that the LHC will release volatile dark energy.

A tiny amount could turn everything on earth into dark matter.

The LHC will continue operating for 20 years, so let's cross our fingers.

Truce village of Panmunjeom -- what it means, what we can expect - Duration: 2:36.

Since the inter-Korean dialogue momentum began at the start of the year,... numerous rounds

of talks have taken place at Panmunjeom, a village located on the inter-Korean border.

It's known as the 'truce village' to many,... as the two Koreas signed the Korean War Armistice

Agreement there in early 1950s.

Oh Jung-hee reports.

A 250-kilometer-long military demarcation line cuts though the Korean peninsula... dividing

it into South and North Korea.

And along this line, there's a buffer zone called the demilitarized zone, or the DMZ,...

that stretches two kilometers north and south from the line.

The village of Panmunjeom is in this zone,... where the two Koreas signed an armistice agreement

in 1953.

A string of inter-Korean talks have taken place this year... after more than three years

of frosty relations.

But the most important event is yet to take place -- that's the third inter-Korean summit

scheduled for April 27th... at the Peace House, located in the South Korean side of the border.

Interest has been brewing over how North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will make his way to the

meeting venue.

It's almost certain that he'll be coming to the border village by car,... but as he nears

Panmungak building -- the southernmost building in Panmunjeom -- he could either choose to

walk past the land border... or continue driving.

If North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is to walk to the Peace House for the summit,... he could

be crossing the military demarcation line here.

He'll be the first North Korean leader to step onto South Korean soil... since the end

of the Korean War in early 1950s.

The fact that it was Kim Jong-un who proposed holding talks in the South Korean side...

is also eye-catching.

The move is viewed as a strategy by the young Kim to stand out from his predecessors.

"The past two inter-Korean summit talks were both held in Pyongyang.

So the fact that the third inter-Korean summit talks are held at Panmunjeom,... or to be

specific, at the Peace House in the South Korean side,... holds great significance."

The border village of Panmunjeom is a symbol of a war that has not ended.

But, at the same time,... it's also the place where the most reconciliatory moves between

Seoul and Pyongyang are exchanged.

He's been sitting on it watching TV for like thirty minutes. There's the longest I think he's ever sat still in his entire life

so

Grandma, thank you for the chair

So Gabriel went down for a nap

He's been sleeping pretty good. We starting to stir, so I think it's time to get things ready for lunch

Mississauga Real Estate 2018 - Is it Time to Sell Your Condo? - Duration: 2:47.

Do you live here?

Or maybe you live here?

or here!

Or maybe you here?

Or over there!

So, did I get your attention?

My name is Jeff O'Leary, the Village Guru

Mississauga Real Estate Broker

and I want to take one minute to explain to you

that if you're moving up into a bigger home

how this is the best time it has been

in over eight years to get yourself a home

and get a deal.

Now for someone like me or you

that has kids and maybe wants to move into that bigger house

as the years gone by over the last five years

It has just gotten worse and worse and worse in terms of affordability.

What I noticed is as the prices of large detached houses came down in price last year

and they continued to kind of plateau

at the same time the prices of town houses and condos

have continued to go up!

So in the past where everything everything went up with the market

what we're noticing now is a convergence of prices.

If I'm looking at over the past eight years...

there's never been a better time where the price of a condo

has been closer to the price of a detached house

then now.

As a home buyer how does this benefit you?

Well when you're buying a bigger house

You got to realize that

it doesn't matter if the prices are higher

I know everybody gets excited in a market where prices keep going up

and they want to buy

but in reality as a move-up buyer

buying something more expensive

you're actually paying more for that same house.

On the flip side, in this market right now

as someone buying something bigger

you're making a lot more money.

That's even if prices went down together

but in this case it's even a better opportunity

because the price of your property has still gone up from last year.

So why am I doing this video at this time?

Because in real estate, opportunities come in 'windows'

and they don't last too long.

The last time I saw an opportunity like this.. was in 2008

After the whole mess in the US subprime market.

You see in Canada house prices went down quite a bit too

but there was no logical reason for it

our banks weren't going into meltdown...

people could still get mortgages...

but the public watched the news

and they all decided to pull back

while a few people who were smart

took advantage and made a killing during that time

and that's what's happening today.

As a move-up buyer you're in a great position.

Now, what are the next steps?

Number one - read my article on this subject

I go into more detail on how much money you can save

it's quite a bit

and then also...

the idea is to combine this with the proper home selling strategy

proper marketing

and also a proper home search to get yourself the best deal

when you put the whole package together

you're gonna be a winner in this market.

There you have it

I'm Jeff O'Leary talking about being a move-up buyer

and how this market is great for you

always feel free to call or email me.

BREAKING Michelle Obama Hit With Devastating Blow – IT'S ALL OVER, FOLKS! - Duration: 16:16.

BREAKING: Michelle Obama Hit With Devastating Blow – IT'S ALL OVER, FOLKS!

Michelle Obama reemerged on Monday to once again try to steal attention from Melania

Trump, but it didn't end well for her.

The Washington Times reported that Michelle took to Twitter to shamelessly race-bait about

the new movie "The Black Panther," which had a record breaking opening weekend.

Michelle tried to make the film's success sound like some kind of racial milestone,

but Twitter users immediately fired back at her in a huge way.

"Congrats to the entire #blackpanther team!

Because of you, young people will finally see superheroes that look like them on the

big screen," Michelle wrote.

"I loved this movie and I know it will inspire people of all backgrounds to dig deep and

find the courage to be heroes of their own stories."

Twitter users, however, weren't having any of it, as they quickly reminded Michelle that

there is actually a long history of black superhero movies starring the likes of Denzel

Washington, Will Smith and Wesley Snipes.

"So which is it: did you never watch super hero movies and read comics till [sic] this

year or were none of the awesome black super heroes from years before good enough for you?"

responded one user.

"[I] guess you've never watched #Hancock [with Will Smith] or #Blade before," added

another.

"Congrats on making EVERYTHING about race."

"Do I come from a parallel universe?"

replied a third person.

"Is that why nobody seems to remember the 3 very successful Blade movies?

You know, the ones with the black Marvel hero Blade.

Guess I may have imagined them and this film is really groundbreaking.

Sorry Mr. Snipes."

It seems that the American people are finally tiring of the Obamas constantly making everything

about race.

IT'S ALL OVER Special Counsel Robert Mueller Is Done - Duration: 16:16.

IT'S ALL OVER: Special Counsel Robert Mueller Is Done

White House Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation just suffered a huge setback

that it may not recover from.

Supporters of former national security adviser Michael Flynn are saying that he may withdraw

his guilty plea in Mueller's probe as the new judge in the case makes some suspicious

moves amid speculation over whether the special counsel "withheld" evidence.

Flynn's siblings, who vocally support their brother on social media, seem to be advocating

that he withdraw his plea.

"Say it very loud….!"

Joseph J. Flynn, who helped set up a legal defense fund for Trump's former national

security advisor, tweeted in response to an activist calling on Flynn to withdraw the

plea.

Fox News reported that two of Flynn's other siblings, Barbara Redgate and Jack Flynn,

retweeted the same message from another activist that read: "Mueller suppressed evidence

from the General Flynn case.

His plea must be withdrawn and all charges dropped."

This comes as reports are coming in that then-FBI Director James Comey told lawmakers last year

that agents did not think Flynn intentionally lied to the FBI.

Despite this, Flynn pleaded guilty two months ago to one count of making false statements

to the FBI about his conversations with then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the transition.

Flynn ended up losing his White House job over this controversy when he was accused

of misleading Vice President Mike Pence and other administration officials.

Just days after Flynn plead guilty, U.S. District Judge Rudolph Contreras recused himself and

was replaced by Judge Emmet Sullivan, who has a reputation for punishing Department

of Justice overreach, including during the case against the late Alaska Republican Sen.

Ted Stevens.

Sullivan immediately raised eyebrows when he ordered prosecutors to give Flynn's lawyers

"any evidence in its possession that is favorable" to Flynn.

Mueller's team has since postponed Flynn's sentencing, and last week, the team filed

a protective order "governing the production of discovery," which indicates they won't

fight the order to hand over documents.

Former federal prosecutors responded to this move by saying there could be bombshells in

the material.

"Typically, exculpatory information is not required to be turned over when a plea has

been done, but I think this judge is particularly sensitive to those issues, given some of his

history and cases he's had," said John Lauro, a former federal prosecutor in New

York and defense attorney who specializes in white-collar criminal defense.

Is Passive-Aggressiveness a Personality Disorder? - Duration: 4:58.

You're having a perfectly good morning, and then you

walk into the kitchen and see it: the dreaded Post-It note.

It's stuck above the dishes you were totally going to do

or the trash you're definitely planning to take out.

It has a smiley-face, but the real message is clear.

That thing you didn't think was a problem?

Yeah, apparently it's a problem.

We've all been on the receiving end of passive-aggressive behavior…

and maybe even been guilty of it ourselves.

Honestly, it kind of feels like an unfortunate but normal part of social interaction.

But in psychology, the idea is a lot more controversial.

[INTRO ♪]

Psychologists define passive-aggressive behavior

as a deliberate but covert way of expressing feelings of anger.

And it's not just Post-Its—this behavior can take a lot of forms,

from the silent treatment to sarcasm and pointed jokes.

It can also include indirect violence—like slamming around pots and pans—

and unhelpful one-word responses... you know, like:

Sure. Whatever. Fine.

But one of the weird things about passive-aggressive behavior

is how complicated its history is.

The term "passive-aggressive" originated in

the American military during World War II.

It was used to describe soldiers who

refused to comply with orders in a particular way.

Rather than refusing outright, these soldiers sulked, procrastinated,

and were deliberately inefficient.

And yes, it annoyed the heck out of the officers.

So, when the first edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders,

or DSM, was published in 1952, psychologists basically just

copied-and-pasted this stuff in and called it passive-aggressive personality disorder.

And, at the time, it seemed to be a pretty good working definition of a real condition.

In 1966, passive-aggressive personality disorder was diagnosed in

3% of patients in public psychiatric hospitals

and 9% of those who visited outpatient clinics,

where people don't stay overnight.

But by the time the fourth edition of the DSM was published,

it had become more controversial.

It ended up getting pulled from the main text, put into the appendix,

tweaked, and renamed negativistic personality disorder.

And in the DSM-5, it no longer appears at all.

But psychologists still argue about it.

Some papers even have dramatic titles, like "The Demise of a Syndrome."

Those who criticize the idea of passive-aggressive personality disorder

think one of the big problems is that there's a difference between

being frustrated by an annoying behavior and pathologizing it.

They argue that it's a response to certain situations,

not an ingrained personality trait.

Plus, they think the disorder overlaps too much with other personality disorders

and focuses on too narrow of a set of behaviors.

And then there's the fact that there aren't a whole lot of

direct studies observing and measuring it,

though, to be fair, that's true of most personality disorders.

Still, there are some arguments for passive-aggressive personality disorder as a thing.

Studies published in 2009 and 2012 found that the definition

of passive-aggressive personality disorder more accurately described

the symptoms and experiences of the subjects

than that of negativistic personality disorder.

And even if this behavior only appears situationally,

it's possible that it's based in a stable personality trait.

A paper published in 1970 followed up with 100 patients

who were diagnosed with passive-aggressive personality disorder after 15 years.

And the researchers found that these patients' symptoms

were fairly stable over the long term.

But whether or not it's a personality disorder,

psychologists seem to agree that there are fairly strong

theoretical underpinnings of passive-aggressive behavior.

At least one study has suggested that there might be a genetic component to it.

But more research seems to support the idea that

it can be the result of things like ineffective parenting, neglect, and abuse.

Essentially, the idea is that if a child grows up with situations

where it's not appropriate to express anger or disagreement,

they find ways to be defiant that are socially acceptable

and won't result in bad consequences.

Along these lines, a 2003 study had 62 heterosexual couples

keep daily diaries for three weeks.

And the researchers found that people who were more sensitive

to rejection were more likely to use passive strategies in a disagreement.

Specifically, those people were more likely to stay silent to avoid arguments,

to withdraw rather than expressing hostility,

and to be less loving to their partners after they argued.

So it seems like there are some consistent reasons

why people might act passive-aggressively.

That said, all this isn't great.

Although passive-aggressive behavior may help in certain situations,

in most cases, it's a frustrating and unproductive way to deal with conflict.

So what can you do about it?

In terms of therapy and treatment…

there isn't enough research right now to say whether

counseling can really help people whose lives are

seriously impacted by their passive-aggressive behavior.

But for passive-aggressiveness in your day-to-day life,

psychologists do have a few pointers.

You can pay attention to whether you might be triggering this kind of response

by getting extremely upset or being passive-aggressive yourself.

And you can also try actively encouraging open, honest conversations.

But mostly, more research needs to be done to better understand

passive-aggressive behavior and to settle the debates once and for all.
