Why I stopped making YouTube videos - Duration: 2:41.

I want to get back to vlogging but before I do that I want to explain to

you guys: why I stoppedת why I'm coming back and how can you help me make better

videos on this channel

for those of you who've been following my channel for a

while you probably noticed that the last few vlogs that I did what probably

just after I came back from Ecuador were I did a photography project on shamanism

and even when I was here in Israel I kept uploading videos about

photographers that I think you should follow or different tips and advices

that I think is aspiring photographers or photography lovers could appreciate and

maybe adapt to their own work and it was around that time that life threw at me

probably the biggest challenge I had to face... I had to face my dad passing away

and it's hard to explain how it is to deal with the passing of a person who

meant so much to me. my dad was the sole reason I love storytelling that much

he's the one who sent me to learn photography. Heck he's the one who bought

me the same camera six years ago that I'm using today for my photography

projects and my work. And when he was gone I didn't know how to continue doing

what I do today or even if I should and my first reaction was to stop everything

I start making these YouTube videos I stopped writing post stop writing blogs

I had a photography trip I was planning to Africa I just cancelled everything

and took time to myself time to think and to cope and what I needed to figure

out was if I should to continue this path of becoming a documentary

photographer or making photography and storytelling as my career how should I

do that and I came to the realization that because everything I do is

derivative for my father and he was such a huge inspiration for me to follow this

dream of mine it will be almost a sin to stop and that's why I want to come back

and this is why I need your help I'm gonna make a promise to make a new video

every week and what I need you to do is to hold me accountable to this promise

in the description below I put all of my social contacts I put my facebook

account my Instagram account my email address all the ways you can use to

contact me if a week passes and you don't see me uploading a new video

bash me! write me an angry email or angry Facebook message right on my wall

or whatever... make sure that I stand true to my promise and

together we can make awesome work and that's it for this week's video I wanna

say thank you for those who chose to follow me on this path so far and say

thank you again for all those who choose to follow me

in it in the future and I'll see you guys in about a week

lighting to get the best quality footage as you possibly can this particular

video we're gonna be doing and and we shot in under natural lighting so imma

show you how to not only shoot it but edit it and not only edit it but color

grading so without further ado please gonna get straight to it fam so buckle

your seatbelts you know I mean get your Yahoo's could you know how we do get the

kool-aid get your look off get your nigga your

sigil and whatever you like to do when you sit back watch these videos cuz this

chisel thank you for watching and get your pump on the side note on the for

real for real get your pencil your pen in your notebook so make sure you take

notes grab out your camera's if you don't get the camera guess what

you got an iPhone you got a Samsung just shoot for you can shoot 4k or 1080p on

your doggone phones the same rule applies alright home is a home ass it's

your home agree ztz and we're gonna move on to the next chapter and begin this

true training we're gonna do it with fun ain't gonna be all uptight and stuck-up

now I mean and you ain't paying $100,000 for no cars you're paying your homie

grant is about fashion dollars an hour geez - homies so let's move on all right

welcome back round now we're gonna work on edit

and I'm gonna answer a few questions general questions a lot of people want

to know the timing of a edit when the cut will break you know do you do it to

the rhythm you're not do it to the rhythm is there a particular rule well I

want to say no that's not a particular rule that there is as a fundamental or

principle the principle is not to leave your audience bored

so with that principle you're going to add it according to that

so let's hypothetically say you use another you get a a very slow slow R&B

song or a very slow piano song and you're cutting in your edit in nature

hypothetically there's just hypothetical so you got a slow loving peaceful piano

song and you're showing flowers and birds and trees and water and birds lion

and butterflies you're not gonna use at the Rupp edits you're not gonna use fast

clips you're gonna tip they're reasonably realistically you're gonna

use soft transitions soft transitions peaceful transitions sometimes you might

cut but it depends on the audio and the more tutorials you watch the more you

understand I'll have you do homework assignments and watch other videos and

things like that so if you're doing a nice smooth slow R&B song and the mood

is candle lick the scene is low low light you know just you're basically

working with shadows a lot of shadows with just a few person Luminator you

know like few body parts or maybe close-up so champagne bubbling candle

you're going to use slow fades you then you may have a medium like this was

this won't be kind of medium so this can kind of work with fades or just cuts but

the tempo of the song is going to determine the speed of your cuts so

pretty much like a upbeat you're going to almost kind of edit the video

according to the beat spirit tempo in favor of the song if I could put that

all in the nutshell for you you know I can't put nothing in a nutshell for

y'all because you know I talk too much so for the most part that's how you

would do it alright so with that in mind we're going to go in here and attempt to

start editing now what you're looking at right now is what I did this is a just

kind of a pre pre color grading and color correction and I'm not going to

tell you down with all of the ins and outs of that right now because that's a

tutorial all in itself a lot of times you just plug and play and you edit and

you give the video back to the client this is much more advanced so we're

definitely digging to this because you remember and that's what you know that's

just an for you paying for it you know advanced knowledge but what I did was

sometime I kind of do like a free color gray pre color correction and just if I

can give it to you in a nutshell this is raw coming straight from the from the

camera and this would be considered me I apply a coloration to it that will be

considered correction because this is obviously not the correct look so this

will be considered correction so that's me bringing back the huge the saturation

the curves you know using using these master tools here using exposure

bringing exposure up because it was underexposed obviously bringing the

density up bringing the saturation up so I can bring some color back into his

skin some videos are oversaturated so I my under it depends on what vibe I'm on

right now I'm trying to pump it up a little and then curves as you see we

have the s-curve and you give it a thin film you know film stock use s curve s

curves so that's why they call it s curve and what it does is it it fades

shadows and highlights the way film does so it takes that edge off of that video

look so that's that's pretty much it there we're gonna get back into this and

then of course I that's that's that's some correction and then this would be

considered grading I had a mojo to it and the Mojo is like give it a family

look because what it does is it adds certain blues or certain heels to

shadows so as you see here you know like is it's kind of kind of gotta like a

reddish type of hue to it but if I cut on the Mojo it chants it blue or like a

teal and we're gonna talk about that later on I got some tutorials and I'm

gonna try to check out and help you how to appreciate certain color wheels and

things like that goes very deep very deep and then we add the sharpen and I

can actually add more sharpening than that but we get back into that layer now

the reason why I don't color correct first and then edit is because as you

see if we try to play it back here this won't play real choppy well it's not now

but it's going to playing a little choppy but it's not

gonna play as smooth i fixed on my mistakes wasn't confident in my struggle

and I tried the round plays with and that's okay so right now to make editing

easier I'm just gonna take all of that off all right so now with now let's work

on editing so we're going to move on to the next chapter just the introduction

we will move on to the next chapter and actually start literally doing some edit

and we're gonna walk you through the thought process of it

alright so let's run let's move on and start working

all right if I'm ulema check it out so right now the subject matter is he's

saying that his career is kind of on the stand still in the standstill

because his team is kind of doing a few other things and he's contemplating on

if he should move on without the team or wait on the team if you went on the team

his career kinda understand sterile if he if he if he move on he want to make

sure that he you know keeps his integrity with his team his loyalty to

his team but at the same time you don't want his team to hinder his progress so

if all that you know it's a lot weighing on his mind so sort of tempo ain't gonna

be like we Crump anybody get in Crump just survive I'm just speaking my mind

right now I'm you know I'm kind of feeling things right now so you know

that's kind of what I'm working with so of that we go over here we looked at the

sources the other sources the other b-roll footage and we listen to the

tempo and the speed and the pace of the music we also listen to the core

progressions how does it make you feel yes all those thoughts goes into editing

well a good video director with it would consider all of these thoughts so keep

that in mind so with that gonna play it and we want

to get a feel for it

I crept up on the competition niggas in trouble when they was calling Nancy I

was working doubles that does excuse a please excuse this hustle be carrying my

own weight and I haven't pulled a muscle I fixed on my mistakes wasn't confident

in my struggle and I tried the round plays without pitching into the huddle

with that always resorting to fumble knives gametime Fratellis other niggas

they in trouble the underdog with them Rises on day see it come alright so

we're gonna work with that a little bit so I'm listening to what he's saying

and keep in mind - this was all guerrilla shot see so we kind of

improvise in here on you know the elements and what we're going to move on

and what we're going to be editing so right now with the little bit what he's

saying here and I should have sat down with him a little longer and got a

little bit a little bit more detail but you know work with what we got

so um what we're going to do here is we're gonna start showing some of the

elements representing what he may be feeling or that's gonna come up to that

point so as you see here got like flags I got like you know sports arena I got

the lights I got him standing you know you know little things like that so what

I'm gonna do is let's do it again waves again I crept up on the competition

niggas in trouble when they was calling Nancy I was working doubles okay so we

we kind of established some shots where he's that right here so what we're gonna

do is let me go in here and normally normally I would separate all these

windows I got two monitors I would put this over to the right and I would use

all this as editing but um but we can use this for now alright so we're gonna

first the flag and we're not gonna use the flag first because we don't want

this to be patriotic here right there's not we're not trying to do that we're

not trying to no type of subliminal message the flags

mean absolutely nothing in this video it's just the element that's at this

park you see so keep that in mind here and we're not gonna raise those elements

into the second half so all right so let me find some elements here

see so right there so that's a good establishing shot so we can go from that

and we won't spend too much time on that cuz we don't want anybody think that

we've been you know we try to keep it as unpatriotic you know keep it neutral as

possible so that establishes something that establishes the location where are

they at where are they so we'll put that there and as far as these here keep in

mind all of those assist performance strikes so I'm gonna slide them back

we're gonna bring them in as needed but right now we're going to establish some

other things all right and keep in mind remember too that this is shot in 4k so

um I could play around with pushing things here

I crept up on the competition and by the way I'm I apologize I should have let

y'all know what I just did this is a fade in here and I created this fade in

by holding ctrl and clicking on the timeline here and you can you can pull

them down you can you know you can adjust it if you hold ctrl you can

create a bevel and I'm gonna get more detail about what these things are but

what that does is allow you to apply a little curve to it so that this is a

linear fade and linear means a straight line it's just lying that's what's

called linear line so it's a straight line it's rigid this little curve gives

it more of a softer man as opposed to a solid fade in anyway you know use those

a whole lot when it comes to just editing video like this we use this and

like special effects something like After Effects or something like that but

for the most part we just use that and that's a simple fade in not the

beginning of the tutorial I want to make sure you know I reiterate this you

cannot Adobe allow you to I think it's a 15 or a 30 day free trial before you can

start using it there's other ways obviously you can get it you can there's

different ways that you can get Adobe Premiere but I like to I like working

with the Adobe Premiere and the reason why is because of After Effects and

Photoshop they are work hand-in-hand now we're gonna get into all that later

that's more advanced I just just follow me just stick with me and you're gonna

learn all all of those different things and techniques so anyway I just wanted

to lay that down to you because there's a there's a variety of transitions so

right here we're going to use phase and cuts all right so let's fade it in first

okay

now now right here and it's it now movement and feel got a lot to do with

things too so we're gonna keep that in mind movement and feel so it I'm gonna

feel how long this should be before we cut to something else I will cut here

cuz you don't want it to be too long you gotta keep in mind yet yeah you

entertain it you don't want to bore bore your viewers so you got to be careful

how long you keep things there's a lot of random shots here so they work

walking to practice I want to cut we're not gonna cut here cuz this is like the

same shot you got to give it a little bit of variety so we're cut over here

this is a different angle and they're doing something different here so I stay

I'll make sure I don't pick nothing wobbly oh sorry about that I don't pick

anything wobbly or unsteady unless I did it on purpose so for example here I'm

still established for my camera see you saw the camera shaking and this is

wobbling okay it look like it's established right here and you're

standing ok now we're not see none of those right now I'm just establishing my

camera you don't need so I would immediately take it from there

so now we get a sense of what's going on okay he's that he's at the field all

right so now let's see how these two clips play

The BEST Budget Mic for Making Videos | Don't miss the chance to get one | Zoom H1 Review (2018) - Duration: 5:16.

Hey Guys.

I have recently bought a Zoom H1 and in this video I will tell you, why I chose this, over

the upgraded version, the newly launched Zoom H1N and why I think this is a very good time

to get the Zoom H1.

I am using the Zoom H1 right now to record this video as well, so you will get the idea

about how much your production value of your videos can be elevated using this recorder.

See?

In this video, I will share my review, the best recording settings for the Zoom H1 along

with a lot of tips and tricks.

If you are a filmmaker, a YouTuber or simply looking for an entry level, inexpensive, no-nonsense

sound recorder, then you don't wanna miss this video.

So, make sure you'll watch the video till the end.

So let's see what you get in the box.

First, you will see the Zoom H1.

Some paper-works and a free 2GB Micro SD Memory Card along with a Micro SD to SD card adapter

and a nice carrying case for the card.

I have also bought the APH-1 Zoom H1 Accessory Pack.

In this package, I have got a Windscreen for the Zoom H1, an adjustable Tripod Stand, a

Mic Clip Adapter, a nice Padded-Shell Case, a AC Adapter and a USB Cable.

I highly recommend you to purchase this additional kit if you want to take your H1 recordings

to another level.

You will also get free downloadable version of Cubase LE and Wavelab LE with the Zoom

H1.

So let's talk about, why I chose the Zoom H1 over the latest Zoom H1N.

For me, I needed a light-weight, compact and inexpensive sound recorder, which will easily

fit in my camera bag.

The Zoom H1 was always my first option.

There has been a price drop of the Zoom H1 with the release of the Zoom H1N.

Moreover, the upgrades of the Zoom H1N are not that compelling to me.

It has added a physical dial to adjust your recording levels and the Zoom H1 relies on

two buttons to do the job which is not that of a big deal to me.

The new H1N is also slightly bigger in size and that's why it does not fit inside the

carrying case that comes with the APH-1 Accessory Kit and would have required me to buy the

new accessory kit which is even pricier.

With the release of the H1N, Zoom has discontinued the H1 and its price has been dropped as hell.

So, I didn't delay and ordered my H1 and I have been using this in different shooting

scenarios and it has been holding up pretty nicely.

I am very satisfied with the purchase.

The sound quality is almost same as it's bigger brother and much pricier Zoom H4N and it only

requires a single AA Alkaline battery and it lasts much longer than a H4N on 2 AA Alkaline

battery.

Which saves a lot of production budget as well.

You can also use the Zoom H1 as an Audio Interface and use its microphones to record audio directly

to your computer in the DAW of your choice, which is a great feature to have and can save

you a lot of time.

I use it to record my voice-overs directly in Logic Pro X and edit the audio in Logic

afterwards and it saves me the hassle of transferring all the files and all.

If you connect the H1 with your computer via a USB Cable, the screen of the H1 will show

you two options.

In one mode, you can use it to access the memory card as usual, and in other mode, you

just have to press the Record Button when the screen of the H1 shows AUDIO after connecting

it to the computer and you can use it as an audio interface without the need of installing

any other drivers or software.

Pretty neat.

The Zoom H1 can record upto 96kHz/24bit in either WAV or MP3 format.

I use it in the 48kHz/24bit and record my audio in WAV format which gives me enough

flexibility in post-processing and does not eat up too much space.

If you need, you can always switch to the MP3 format, which will give you almost double

the recording time without sacrificing too much on the quality.

It also has an in-built Lo-Cut Filter and you can use that if you need.

I usually do not use it while recording and cut my low frequencies as needed in Logic

Pro X during post-processing.

If you do not have the luxury of that, then you can always use the in-built lo-cut filter.

It works just fine.

A sound recorder like this is very important to have in any kind of production.

You can use its in-built microphones to record stereo sounds.

No matter if you are shooting a narrative or documentary or an interview, you can use

it to record high quality on-set sounds which are very important and can save you a lot

of time in post-production.

You can also attach an external boom or a lavalier mic to this and use that microphone

to capture the sound and use the Zoom H1 to record the audio.

I also have a Rode VideoMicro, which is an on-camera directional microphone.

If your camera has a microphone input, you can attach it directly to your camera and

use the mic to capture the audio.

It gives you better audio than the camera's in-built microphone, but it has some limitations.

First of all, the built-in mic preamps inside the cameras are not that great and that's

why you can easily end up with a lot of white noise in your recordings which is very annoying

and hard to reduce properly in post.

Secondly, if the mic is attached to your camera you cannot move the microphone independently

and you may lose the opportunity to get close to your subject to record better audio.

Using an external recorder like the Zoom H1 resolves both the issues.

The Rode VideoMicro performs much better in conjunction with the Zoom H1.

So, in conclusion, I can only tell you that, Zoom has discontinued the H1 and replacing

it with the H1N.

There are very few H1 left and are being sold like hot cakes.

If you are looking for the cheapest and the best portable sound recorder, I will highly

recommend you to get your Zoom H1 before it gets obsolete.

You can click the first link in the video description below to buy one.

You can also buy the accessory kit right now, as it will be hard to find, once it gets obsolete.

You can find a link to buy the accessory kit as well.

See you in the next video.

HOW TO MAKE YOUTUBE VIDEOS FOR BEGINNERS - Duration: 5:54.

Okay, why don't we just start over.

Yesterday we talked about VEDA and why people are doing Veda or what VEDA is.

But today, I figured we'd keep the momentum going so I wanted to share with you how to

film, so today I'm going to show you how to film your videos.

If you want to vlog or record videos for YouTube, there's a couple of different ways that you

can do it.

If you're going to be making videos or vlogging, you need to learn.

So how did I get started filming?

Ahhhh I taught myself, I watched a couple YouTube videos.

I figured it out and now I'm not going to say my pro, but I'm way better than when I

started.

I'm going to show you how I've found my YouTube videos.

There's two different ways that you can film your videos.

The first way is to film continuously.

Just can film your whole section or all of your sections at one time and if you mess

up, here's a little tip or in between sections.

You want to clap three times and I'm going to show you why, but it helps with the spikes

when you go back to edit your videos or if you have a video editor is going to help them.

This is a really good example of if you mess up, I'll select this clip and I'm going to

show you what happens in this video.

I'm going to teach you three ways or actually (clap, clap, clap) in this video, do you see

these claps right here.

You can see the spikes in the sound.

I'll show you again.

Watch.

In this video, I'm going to show you three ways or three ways No (Clap, Clap, Clap).

The reason I do this is because if I was editing, I could easily see these spikes so I would

know to cut this immediately and I would just go in here and I'd cut that out real quick.

That's the first thing I would do is cut out any of those and see what's What's up ease

or actually in this video I'm going so I know that this can be deleted because obviously

I did something wrong.

The second way that you can film your videos is to film in sections as they say the pros

filming sections.

I'm going to show you how I actually filmed the video in different sections and then you

can see how I put it all together and edit it in the final cut.

Why should you blog every day.

I actually have my script, and I didn't read this.

So let me try that again.

The section one - I'm going to share with you three reasons why you would want to vlog

every day.

We just finished section one.

Now I'm going to section two, so the first reason that you're going to want to vlog every

day is of course to get faster and when you get faster, you're more natural because you

learn how to talk to the camera.

Reason number two that you want to Vlog every day is because you want to be more efficient

with your time.

This is section four, but reason number three.

Reason number three that you might want to vlog every day is to grow and to essentially

get feedback.

So now you know why you should be vlogging every day.

The videos are don.

Now, it's time to edit.

It sounded so now you know how I filmed that video and a lot of my videos I mentioned,

there's two different ways you can either film continuously clap if you mess up or in

between sections or you can film in sections.

Hopefully this makes sense.

Hit the like button below and let me know that it does or do you have questions?

Put a comment down.

I do read those.

But, now you know how to actually film your videos, so there's no excuses for not making

amazing videos here on Youtube, so I want to see your videos.

I'm excited to see what you make.

but if you want people to land on your channel, watch your videos and subscribe, hitting that

button, the like button, that subscribe button and sharing your content.

Then you want to make sure that they understand that you're an actual real youtube channel,

and the best way to do that is to go through my youtube channel checklist.

Make sure you have everything set up that it looks like a real channel.

I went through all this when I started.

It was kind of confusing.

I didn't understand like, oh, you should add your social links and here's how to put your

head on here, so I put all of that into an amazing checklist.

Check out the description below.

I'm Brandi of www.BlogginBrandi.com.

Thanks for watching.

I'll see you in the next video tomorrow.

Video Production Home Studio Space - Duration: 3:10.

hey what's up everybody this is Alejandro with the active dead lifestyle

today what we're going to do is we're going to take my bedroom move over the

bed that way and convert it into home studio we're going to do a quick montage

and see how it turns out see you guys on flipside

hopefully you guys liked what I did with my studio space inside of my bedroom I

did have a little bit of an issue with the video recording this time around I

had an SD card that I recorded the whole time-lapse of the whole sequence where I

was creating my video production studio space but somehow that SD Drive just

kind of snapped in half that was no fun but anyways how do you

guys like the space is there anything that you might add in here to add a

little bit of flare I think it's kind of a little bit plain but it's a good start

if there's anything that you guys think I should add in here let me know now in

the comment section maybe something like a YouTube throw pillow or something like

that something to add some color I don't know just give me some suggestions and

I'll take a look at them and see what I can do also please like share and

subscribe and we'll see you guys in the next video bye
