10 Things to Do in Hollywood (with Chris from Yellow Productions) - Duration: 7:33.

Hey, it's Ernest from Trip Astute. In this video, I'm partnering with fellow

travel content creator Chris from Yellow Productions to share our top ten things

to do in Hollywood.

(light chiming music)

In today's video, we're talking about the top 10 things to do

in Hollywood. I'm joined today by ...

I'm Chris. I've got a channel called Yellow Productions. I

do travel guides that are fun, informative, entertaining, and we've got

our special special guest Topher. We travel the world together. We're the

internet's number one human and stuffed panda travelling duo. Ernest, I'm looking

forward to doing this video with you here on Hollywood with Chewbacca.

-Likewise. Let's get started.

Alright

So the first thing to do when you get to

Hollywood is to check out the Hollywood and Highland Mall. Why would you want to

visit this place? Well, the parking here is awesome. In LA, as you know, has very

limited parking, so this is a really good place get your car

situated while you explore the area. The area also has a lot of restaurants and

businesses that will validate for you. - And so when you come to Hollywood and

Highland be careful this is one of LA's most dangerous intersections. You might

see the street is clear and people go out and just run across it, but a lot of

people might actually be jaywalking and cited for jaywalking here. Also, it's busy.

People walk around. So don't be on your phone all the time because you'll be

liable to get run over by some of these street performers.

The second thing to do

is to admire the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This is definitely one of

the most iconic streets in LA and it's one of the main reasons that people from

all over the world come to see Hollywood. There's a mix of film industry stars

here as well as music, television, and radio. It's also a fun place to people

watch. People get really excited about seeing their favorite stars even though

most LA natives avoid this area because of the crowds. Still, there is a special

energy here from people connecting with their favorite celebrities.

The third thing to do in Hollywood is to see a musical, and there's no better place to

do it than here at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. It was opened in the 1930s and

is one of the most beautiful theaters here in Los Angeles. It actually has some

really cool Art Deco architecture if that's your thing.

Topher and I, we've come to see a number of musicals

here. And if you want to experience Hollywood Boulevard like locals

experience it. Locals, we really don't walk up and down this sidewalk of stars.

We come for a thing. And that's generally a musical plus dinner. So come for dinner

and a show and see Hollywood from the inside. If you're standing here on the

outside just looking at what's on the street, you might end up being a little

depressed. So come inside and be inspired by the great Hollywood. But, you got to pay.

The fourth thing to do in Hollywood is to visit the Dolby Theatre. Have you

watched the Oscars on TV? Then you've seen the inside of the Dolby Theatre.

This has been the site of the Oscars for a number of years, and actually this

Hollywood and Highland Mall was purposely built to house this theater. You

can take a tour inside. They're pretty neat tours. They're short, but how often do you

get to say you've sat in some of the same seats or been in the same

places as some of your biggest movie stars. But you might say, "well, it's

expensive, right? Well, Ernest, how much is it?

It's $25, but you should book it

online. It does get crowded during the weekends and during the holidays, so make

sure you do it online. Also, if you happen to be visiting during one of the summer

months, Hollywood's Dolby Theatre is

definitely a great place to go escape the heat and enjoy the air-conditioning.

The fifth thing to do in Hollywood is to visit the Chinese Theatre. If you're

looking for a glamorous red carpet experience, this is the place to go.

Movies cost $18 to get in and there is a tour as well. Though if you want to just

see the footprints outside, you don't need to take the tour.

And so the reason

why you'd want to go in is it's one of these old regal historic theatres where

they've got the red curtains. It's really neat inside. But if you don't take

the tour and you're just buying a movie ticket, make sure you buy a movie ticket

for one of those original theatres. It has other theatres that are just normal.

Don't waste your money on those. Make sure you're getting that special

screening in this historic theatre. If you do have your heart set on watching a movie

here, you're going to want to make sure that you check for any special events in the

area. As you can see today, it is closed off. So if you have your heart set on

watching something here, make sure you check the schedule.

For the sixth thing

to do on Hollywood Boulevard, we're joined by a special guest

Lucy from "I Love Lucy". This number is to visit the museums in Hollywood. They're

not maybe like artsy high class museums. They're definitely of the

touristy variety. This one is Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. There's also a second wax museum

further down on Hollywood Boulevard.

And if museums are your thing, you may want

to check out the VIP pass. It'll get you a admission into three of the museums.

Basically, the Hollywood Wax Museum, the Guinness World Record Museum, and also

Ripley's Believe It or Not.

Alright, the seventh thing to do here in

Hollywood is to visit the Four Ladies of Hollywood Statue here at Hollywood and

La Brea. It's actually not the most impressive art display here in Hollywood,

but it is worth checking out and it is a tribute to the multi-ethnic women of Hollywood.

And so it's not the most historic statue. It was actually just erected

here in the 90s, but it's become a major kind of art piece on the tourist circuit

through Hollywood. If you're starting your tour where we told you to at

Hollywood and Highland, walk in this direction to La Brea. Check this out and

then turn around and head towards Pantages, where you'll end your tour on

the other side. This is basically sometimes called the "Gateway to

Hollywood." It's basically the Western gateway.

The eighth thing to do on

Hollywood Boulevard is to eat or drink in a famous Hollywood institution. If

you've seen the movie "La La Land", you'll see there's a lot of restaurants like

this. They're just plain restaurants. This one has been here since 1919. It's the

oldest restaurant in Hollywood. And hey, let's go take a look and see what's

inside this institution. It's pretty amazing

once you head inside.

So inside, you'll find a lot of white tablecloths, booths,

kind of an old Hollywood magical feel. You can imagine people dining in this

restaurant and discussing their next Hollywood movie or script.

The ninth thing to do in Hollywood is to visit the Magic Castle. Now this is truly a magical experience.

Yes, pun intended.

Magical. Alright.

But to get in is a little bit tricky. You have to

actually know someone who is a member of the Magic Castle, you have to either know a

magician, or what we recommend is looking for magicians on Yelp and actually

contacting them directly. Or looking at the schedule on the website and seeing

if there's a magician that's performing soon. You can contact them directly and

let them know you want to see their show. And perhaps they can get you on the guest list.

Abracadabra!

The tenth thing to do on Hollywood Boulevard and a place that you

all can get into is the Roosevelt Hotel. This place it's right across from

Hollywood and Highland and you know people still walk down here. It's crazy.

There's a lot of people walking, but you step through those doors, it's a bit of

old Hollywood. Peaceful, serene. There's a bar and there's even a bowling alley.

So one of the cool things about this place is that it's not on any tourist type of

books or even tours. It's really kind of a local place. So if you're looking for a

cool place to hang out with some local LA natives, this is the place.

And that's a wrap! Thank you so much Chris for doing this video with me.

- I hope you guys enjoyed it - Thank you, Ernest. It's been a pleasure.

And definitely check out his channel, Yellow Productions. It's really awesome. It's got

a lot of great travel tips and I think you guys would really like checking it out.

Yeah, you'll see more from me. You'll see more from Topher. So find the link in

description below or maybe click on this little annotation up here to watch our

video about "Things to Know Before You Go to Hollywood Boulevard." thanks guys and

Thanks guys!

And, crap. I'm like so horrible.

An unofficial thing to know is if you're making YouTube videos on Hollywood Blvd,

it can be pretty noisy.

There's lots of parades that come by

How Do You Do Tangerine Jam At Home? - Duration: 2:37.

Hello everyone,

In this video I'll tell you how to make a perfect mandarin jam in your own hands at home.

The ingredients we need to make our mandarin jam are 1 kilogram of tangerine, 4 cups of powdered sugar, 1.5 cups of water, 1 bar of cinnamon and 10 carnations.

We put our 1 kilogram mandarin in water for 3 days by changing its water every day.

Our aim here is to remove the pain of our mandarin.

After removing our mandarin, we boil our mandarin in water for 3 consecutive times.

When the water starts to boil, we change the water of our mandarin and boil it again.

After doing this 3 times we sliced our mandarines.

After we put the mandarines we have sliced into our saucepan, we pour 4 cups of sugar.

Then add 1.5 cups of water.

After that, we put 1 cinnamon stick and 10 cloves in turn and put our mandarin in this way for 5 hours.

In the middle of the fire we boil our mandarin and let it cool down after boiling.

Our mandarin, which we leave to cool, is now turned into mandarin jam after it has cooled down.

We put our mandarin jam in the jars and we want to eat when we want.

Why Do Dogs Bark at Other Dogs And People? 5 Best Reasons - Duration: 1:49.

Hi, Mirko here from Healthy Pet Systems.

Today I will tell you why do dogs bark.

So let's dive in.

First reason, greeting barking.

Dogs sometimes bark as a sign of saying "hello" and this is usually accompanied by a relaxed

body language and tail wagging.

Second reason, barking as a sign of territorial control.

When dogs notice people, other dogs or animals approaching their territory, their response

is usually excessive barking.

Third reason, barking to seek attention.

Sometimes dogs bark to seek attention or rewards like food or playtime.

It's the most common barking reason for puppies.

Fourth reason, socially influenced barking.

A dog can bark in response to the barking of another dog.

Fifth reason, barking because of an alarm.

Dogs do also bark when they respond to noises and sights.

This is not limited to the defense of their territory.

Ok, those are some of the reasons.

To find out more, I created a great guide about the dog barking problem.

In it, you will find 7 reasons why dogs bark, 9 ways to get your dog to stop barking, 3

devices that can stop the barking problem, and other tips related to dog barking problem.

Why do Indians spend so much on weddings? - Duration: 8:16.

Weddings are by nature an expensive ordeal.

If you are sponsoring a party for all your family and friends

well

that's going to cost you some money.

There's going to be the cost of a space,

and the cost of food

for the 50-100 odd people you invite to your wedding.

so yeah

by that definition you are likely

to incur an expense,

an expense that is considerably higher

than your average everyday expense.

But this is not the wedding

I'm going to talk about today.

The wedding that I am going to talk about,

and which is more common nowadays

is this kind of wedding.

The wedding of excess!

The wedding which begins with a

lavish invitation,

and a luxury box of exotic sweets.

An engagement party in the finest hotel in town.

An all-night bachelor's party

at a high-class pub in the city,

with unlimited booze and food.

Then a music ceremony,

posh place,

lots of people, lots of food,

lots of decoration.

A high-production bollywood style movie,

with the bride and groom as the stars,

shown to all the guests.

Professional entertainers,

magicians,

samba dancers,

acrobats

A full-night marriage ceremony.

A high-class venue for the wedding.

Maybe an exotic destination.

A beach

The hills.

An island?

Lots of food.

Lots of different kinds of food.

Indian cuisine

mexican cuisine

thai cusine

malay cuisine

vietnamese cuisine

indonesian cuisine

burmese cuisine

chinese cuisine

afghani cuisine

french cuisine

italian cuisine

Professional videographer

with professional cameras,

gyroscopes for stabilization,

drones for air-coverage,

professionally-edited videos,

Designer clothes,

designer bridal wear,

designer shoes,

designer head gear,

jewellery,

more jewellery,

lots of jewellery,

expensive decoration,

exotic flower,

exotic sweet smelling flower from South Africa

A band,

a horse,

a couple of horses more,

a chariot,

maybe a nice car, especially rented for the day.

Guests.

Lots of Guests.

500 guests.

No, a thousand.

No 2000 guests.

You have never met 1/4 of them ever in your life.

1/2 of them are mild acquaintances,

you wouldn't spend a dime on, on a regular day.

Only a handful of the 2000 guests actually mean something to you.

Only a handful of the 2000 guests, you care about,

and they care about you.

Typically a wedding like this costs somewhere between

THAT'S a lot of money.

Maybe a large fraction of the family's fortune.

In some cases it can be the entire lifetime

savings of the family.

In some cases people also take

personal loans to meet the expenses incurred in weddings.

So I guess the point is,

The answer is simple,

and we all know it.

I'm not saying anything new here.

It's a once in a lifetime opportunity

to show off your opulence to the entire society.

I found this quote online,

by a lady who works as a house maid.

But does everyone enjoy spending

their hard-earned money in weddings?

A lot of people do it out of peer pressure.

Because they are scared.

Fear is a devastating emotion.

But what are they afraid of?

What will people say if I throw a cheap-ass wedding?

It's hard! It's just so fucking hard

to not spend a fortune on weddings.

Can you imagine how painful it is

to not spend a fortune on weddings.

What I just said is so strange and so non-sensical.

Can you imagine how painful it is

to not spend a fortune on weddings.

This is such a powerful statement.

We have built this institution,

this system,

where our minds are forcing us to spend

our fortunes recklessly on one night.

Just blow away all our hard-earned money on meaningless stuff.

Just imagine what all we could have done with that money?

Buy a nice house,

spend the rest of our lives in that house.

Keep that money in the bank, in case an emergency strikes.

Go for a wonderful trip all around the world.

Quit your jobs and pursue that one hobby

you've always wanted to pursue.

So why do we feel compelled to spend our money on other people.

Feeding them all these different kinds of cuisines?

On a regular day

we wouldn't even spend a dime on them.

Because if I don't spend.

What will people think of me,

what will everyone think of me.

But if I spend. I'll be a king.

And people will think all nice things about me.

Wouldn't that be glorious?

But damn. I don't want to spend so much. It's just insane.

But what will people think about me

if I give a cheap ass wedding?

My daughter's wedding should be the best wedding in town.

So that everybody remembers me and everybody respects me.

Doesn't matter if I have to take a personal loan for it.

It's hard, man.

I think it has been very deeply ingrained

in our minds to spend excessively on weddings.

So deeply ingrained that

we think it's completely normal to do what we do.

like throwing trash on streets

In fact it just seems absurd

to not spend like a madman in a wedding.

It's like breaking some kind of

fundamental law of the society.

For example, if I tell you,

I want to quit my high-paying corporate job,

and do nothing for the rest of my life.

Just sit at home and read books.

Do a part-time job maybe.

Deliver pizzas maybe.

I don't want to work anymore.

Just live my life, relax,

do nothing, read books, and sit at home.

I have the money.

I have the house.

I have the books.

And I just want to sit at home

read those books and chill for the rest of my life.

There's nothing wrong with it. But

it seems like I'm breaking some fundamental law of the universe.

How can I do nothing?

How can I be nothing?

What will people think about me

if I am unemployed?

I am just 29 for God's sake.

What will the society think of me?

Everybody's doing something.

Everybody's someone.

It doesn't matter if I hate my job.

It doesn't matter if I don't need it.

I have to be something.

I have to be someone.

Otherwise I'll be an outsider.

I'll be no-one.

Because

Because no one values nothing.

Well, it's pretty much the same for weddings.

If you don't spend like a maniac in your wedding.

You are nothing.

You are no-one.

And it's hard to break out of that thinking pattern.

More so, when almost every other

human around you is behaving the same way.

We are a social species.

And if we do something

that is majorly different from the herd,

it causes anxiety.

It causes stress.

And so

I feel for everybody who has to go on this spending spree

during weddings so that they can be perceived as

'normal' functioning members of the society.

Because the sad truth is,

deep down somewhere,

we all know how abnormal this collossal waste of money is.

Well, as Mr. Gandhi once remarked,

So start by spending less in YOUR wedding.

And one by one if everybody starts doing this

then it will no will longer be the norm to spend excessively on a wedding.

So I repeat again.

If you want to see a change,

Autismo, Asperger, tratamento, terapias - A sindrome do autista leve - Duration: 8:17.

I would like to speak here of a matter

That .... she is virtually unknown

She, in a very few ....

She is approached, it is cited that issue

But it's something ...

Causing very serious consequences

The development of a person with autism

And I call this question of "mild autistic syndrome"

And I decided to call it for the sake of ease of understanding

And as the name says ...

The mild autistic syndrome

I repeat, this name was I who decided to call it

By thatt it has all the features of a syndrome

The final result

So, this "mild autistic syndrome"

it primarily affects children with mild autism

The basis of this syndrome comes from the fact that ...

This children for ......

They show they are inside that lighter spectrum of autism

So, autism characteristics they present

They are softer, less noticeable

What happens is that, in most situations

Parents treat the child

As if she had no disorder

They treat her like a typical child

Likewise it will be treated by society

then this child is left pretty much to their own devices

In relation to its development

to its interaction with the outside world

To his ability to understand and absorb what's going on around her

And that makes her ....

The right or wrong way ...

She has to deal with, in his own way with all these issues

And while she is still a child

Why does the world around them

is a world more .... Why does the world around them

It is a world more ....

Soft, shall we say

It is a more peaceful world

It is not as aggressive

This child somehow, she'll achieving He's not as aggressive

This child, somehow, it will getting

Deal with all these issues

She has problems, it suffers bullying, she suffers prejudice

She turns joke at school, at last

She's kind of rejected

But she will getting in one way or another

"To turn aroud"

She will manage these situations getting

Your way

Because sometimes...

Parents, they enter the question I have already addressed in another video, which

The fact of the denial

So parents often refuse to admit

That (a) your (water) son (a) has a trasntorno

And this causes the whole situation

That child have to "turn" alone in relation to development is

The big question is when that child reaches adolescence

And later in adulthood

And that's where this "syndrome" which I call so

It shows the consequences

So when this child is coming in adolescence

which is a very difficult stage, very difficult

Where the requirements of society in relation to the interaction

The part of a group

Charges are much stronger

So this teenager, he becomes unable to manage more

This situation

She becomes unable to interact more

For the answer become more aggressive

The bulliyngs become much more aggressive

Rejection happens to be much more aggressive

That's when you start to have cases ....

Depression...

Of very serious psychological problems

Some teens, joining that whole situation

They have the propensity to develop schizophrenia stages within this whole issue

And unfortunately, in some extreme cases

This comes to suicide

These teenagers, and even adults these

Cgegam to suicides

For failing to fit into society

they were not prepared, they had ...

That help needed in the stage of childhood

To create that emotional foundation

What would they conseguisem adapt,

Support

Charges, prejudice

Attitudes that society

They have in relation to all persons

Who have some kind of difference

Not only is the child with autism, but a child with Down

Suffer this, or any other person who has some kind of difference

One way or another he ends up suffering a prejudice

So this is a ....

Again I say, this "syndrome" as I call

It is something that has become very strong

It has caused serious consequences

And it has almost condemned some people

With mild autism, an alienated life of society

For failing to develop the tools with mild autism, an alienated life of society

For failing to develop the tools

Necessary for her to interact

With society in a way that is bearable for her

Develop that famous resilience, which is necessary

So this is an issue that I wanted to address in this video

And what I call "mild autistic syndrome"

And it's something I believe parents ...

As much as they want their children to be typical

They should not be omitted in this matter

So this is very important

Parents of autistic light should not be omitted

To give all necessary support for the child

So she can develop the best possible way

And become a competent adult

To relate to society

The best way possible

Would Kobe Bryant Do 'Space Jam 2' With LeBron James? | Access - Duration: 4:36.

- It's funny because, I think right now

a lot of people...

everybody is talking about it.

And...especially basketball.

When you bring LeBron to Hollywood,

you've got now: LeBron. Kobe.

Space Jam 2.

[Laughter]

How do we get you, cameo, something,

in "Space Jam 2"

Wouldn't that be like iconic?

What? You thought I was going to talk about something else?

- No! Listen.... Space Jam is a good...

It's a great segue there.

I got to be honest, man.

Being in front of the camera for me...

was something that never excited me.

- Really?

- Never.

- Not even like an iconic...

I remember Michael Jackson.

Michael Jordan. Jam.

- Yeah.

- Right?

-That's a music video.

I'm not doing films.

[Laughter]

Now...I'll direct it.

- You'd be interested in that?

- Well, no.

But that's something I would think about doing.

- Really?

- Yeah.

But being in front of the camera is

something I would never...

- Okay. Since you brought it up,

something you would think about doing,

ever possible to get you back on that court?

Ever possible to get you back

on that court at the Lakers?

- Listen man. I, you know,

Rob Pelinka is my guy.

He's Gianna's godfather.

He used to ask me all the time

just tease me

because he knows it's never gonna happen.

I'm really comfortable in what

I'm doing. I control my own schedule.

- Yeah.

- Create fun podcasts, anime series,

a slew of new novels coming out next year.

There's a lot of fun stuff happening,

and I can control my own schedule.

I can coach my daughter.

I can be present at all of

my eldest daughter's volleyball games.

I can drop them off in the morning.

I pick them up in the afternoon.

So... zero. I have no inclination

and no desire to play basketball.

Just none.

Now when you see... Tiger.

Or Serena. Or... Tom Brady.

You're like "That's good. I'm good."

- No. What I think of is like,

"Man. That's a great story. I wonder..."

- I'm with you.

You go director-mind now.

- Exactly! Exactly. That's where I'm at.

Maybe we should talk about something.

We should talk about something.

The basketball gene, I've completely

and fully passed off to Gianna.

She's got it.

And then you have the "The Punies"

which I feel like...

bred out of conversations,

observations with your with your girls.

- Oh yeah. One hundred percent.

- Maybe even their little cousins.

- Yeah.

- Tell me how did it happen for you?

Because I would imagine a podcast...

was a natural fit. But not the first thought.

- No, not the first thought.

But, you know, as a parent you try to

figure out ways to teach your children

without being preachy?

Because my kids just tune me out

after a while. "Yeah, dad. We know."

"Y'all work hard, yeah."

"yeah yeah yeah"

You know, hit me with that.

Right. So you want to stay away

from the "yeah yeah yeah" syndromes,

You know?

And so I was inspired by "The Sandlot."

I was inspired by the Peanuts,

which are both family traditions for us.

Fourth of July we always watch "The Sandlot."

- You're a "Sandlot"?

Every Fourth of July.

Barbecue burgers. Watch "The Sandlot"

And then it just hit me.

Just to put them together.

And, create this series.

And I was thinking like an animated series.

But then it kind of struck me that

podcast is probably the best space to do that.

I'm sitting there and I'm laughing

I'm like...

"Am I the only one that's going to be

laughing at this stuff?"

- Did you play it for your girls?

- I did!

I did and they loved it.

So I was like... "I feel better. I feel better."

And I go down. Lay down

to go to sleep at night...

- Did they gas me up, though?

- Maybe they're the only ones who'll enjoy it!

I gotta go back and check it again.

Let me re-edit .

And I'm looking at it and I say

"No. I think this is okay."

Is it? Nah. This is the best we can do.

So... just send it out.

I need you to give me...

There's a phrase. I've heard in Italian.

Just make it quick.

A phrase I've heard in Italian and...

I can't get the pronunciation right.

It's "never say never"

- Okay.

- How do you say "never say never"?

in Italian?

- Uh...depends what part you're in...

- Any part. The part you're most...

- "mai dire mai"

- "mai dire mai"...

And that means what?

- "never say never"

- Cool

[Laughter]
