Set aside for a moment the fact that swap deals almost never happen in football – the last one Le Buzz can recall involved Luciano Becchio and Steve Morison moving between Leeds and Norwich in 2013 – but there was one particularly eye-catching story in Monday's newspapers.
The Daily Star, that bastion of reliability, devoted its back page to the news that Arsenal and Manchester City were ready to agree a straight swap deal involving Sergio Aguero, 29, and Alexis Sanchez, 28.
If it happened, it would be one of the most incredible deals in English football history. We know from last season that Aguero doesn't offer Pep Guardiola everything that he requires in a striker.
He was dropped by the Catalan despite his prolific record for the club, with Guardiola citing a need for a striker who worked harder in pressing from the front and understood "the process".
While Aguero made some progress, Gabriel Jesus looks the first pick in attach for next season.
Sanchez undoubtedly fits the Guardiola mould. There is no doubting his work ethic as he careers around the pitch for Arsenal, chasing down lost causes and hassling opposition goalkeepers and defenders for 90 minutes as well as contributing goals and assists.

Talks continue over Alexandre Lacazatte of Lyon, but Aguero's record of 122 goals in 181 Premier League games means he comes with a guarantee of success.
Wenger's "process" is not as rigidly defined as Guardiola's, and Arsenal always create plenty of chances.
If they sign a 25-goal a season striker like Aguero, it would give them a big upgrade on Olivier Giroud, even if Sanchez does depart. It could be the missing piece in the jigsaw.

Nearly 100 missing as search continues in China landslide - Duration: 0:25.
Some three-thousand rescue workers in China are continuing to search for 93 people who
remain missing after a massive landslide struck a mountainous region in the southwest of the
country on Saturday.
The landslide in Mao County buried more than 60 homes.
Officials say ten bodies have been found so far.
A few survivors are reported to have been found, but hopes of finding more are fading.
