JCFlexFitness Presents: Vlog 2 - Channel Trailer, Live Stream, Special Olympian Hero, Body Fat
- by JCFlexFitness [TITLE: From the Blooper (Mistake) Reel of "Welcome to JCFlexFitness"]
Hey everybody, I'm JC.
Thanks for checking out my channel.
I built this entire home gym because I was self-conscious about losing weight.
I weight 191 pounds, and eh-- [shrugs], I'm going to get a lighter weight.
[laughs] [TITLE: JCFlexFitness Presents - Vlog #2,
May 30, 2017] JC: Well good morning, YouTube!
Hope everyone is doing well.
Its been a busy weekend.
I put out my channel trailer.
I've been wanting to do that for months, and I just kept putting it off -- well, I wouldn't
say months.
Its really been weeks (laughs).
Or days, I don't know.
I think the whole channel, I've only had it like two months or something.
So, maybe six weeks.
But anyway, I've been thinking in my head though, about doing all of this for the longest
time.
I guess that's what counts.
Um, so I'm really excited that that got out the door.
I had to do, oh my God, I had to do like fifty or sixty takes.
I was lifting those bicep curls, for a good probably almost three hours.
Because, believe it or not, I kept--every time, there would be a car drive by, or there
would be a noise, or I just would get distracted.
I had to write notes down of everything, several times, because I just struggled with doing
something so scripted.
I really like doing most of my stuff unscripted.
At the most I might have or write down some general ideas, but I'm not much of a teleprompter
guy.
There was no teleprompter there.
That was from the heart.
But, still just to get the basic thoughts across--and I still forgot to mention the
motorcycle accident, I think.
But, it's all good.
You know, you don't have to give out too much on a channel trailer I guess.
So, anyway, I meant to do another video for Memorial Day (in the United States, a day
of remembrance for those who have passed away).
And, I just never really got around to it.
I had a couple of other videos come up instead.
I knocked out the Skulpt video.
I have been wanting to do that one for a while.
That really helped me when I was on my cut.
I really enjoyed looking at my body fat percentage over time, and things like that.
Especially, because I didn't look at it for about five months.
So I was tracking it weekly, from like, I would say, November into December of last
year.
And, I found that it (my body fat) was kind of going down a little bit, but that was still
around mid-way through my cut, so I didn't see a huge decrease during those two months.
I think I got a little bit like "eh, maybe I will come back to that later, when I start
seeing something significant."
I am really glad though that I looked at the [Skulpt] app now, because I was impressed
that it was only 0.6% off [from what the Doctor's office InBody scan stated my bodyfat was].
Now, the best scan you can get for your body fat is called, I want to say, the DEXA scan.
But I think that is the one where, there's a couple variations of it.
There's one where they put you into a machine that looks like a CAT scan or something and
they have this machine that runs over your body, I believe.
I've seen it on YouTube, I haven't actually used it or anything, so I by no means have
any experience with it.
But I just remember hearing about it or seeing it.
And there's another one where they dunk you in water, and then somehow the displacement
of the water measures something--I'm not really sure to be honest.
But, anyway, so those are probably the most accurate kinds of scans for your body weight.
But, for just around the house and day to day, normal people, having something like
the Skulpt is light years beyond the little caliper pincher thing that I also have and
I used that for the longest time, but it has a variation of like six percent or something
[laughs].
I mean, its pretty significant.
You know, but the variation on the Skulpt only seemed to be maybe a percent.
And for all I know, maybe the InBody scanner at the doctor's office could also have been
off a little bit, there.
So, anyway, I was really impressed with the scanner.
I thought that was cool.
I really enjoyed meeting Friday night and then this weekend with Jayson.
Jayson Francis, if you haven't seen the video yet, check it out--he's a Special Olympics
champion for the state of Arizona here in the United States.
And I just--his story is incredible.
He was hit by a car on his bicycle.
He was actually pedaling to a Special Olympics event, and you know, it was just a very touching
story there.
I put a link in the video to give to the Special Olympics because I just thought that was such
a cool story.
And anytime I'm feeling down, or you know, depressed, or--I'm like anybody else, you
know.
We all go through bad times, good times, mood swings, things like that, right.
Anyone who doesn't is lying, basically.
[laughs] We're all people, you know, and its normal.
But, anytime I'm having a bad day, I think back to Jayson and what he has had to go through,
and how right after he recovered from his injuries he goes and wins the Special Olympics,
again, in swimming and stuff.
And I--that's just incredible, you know.
So, you know, what a story of triumph over the hardship of getting hurt and everything,
and then on top of that, just that human spirit.
That's why he's one of my Heroes and definitely check that out if you haven't seen the video
yet.
Its a lot of fun.
So, live streaming--I'm going to start live streaming and I announced that yesterday in
my Channel Trailer, my "Welcome to the Channel" video.
So my live streaming events are going to start on Thursday, of this week, on June 1 at 9
PM.
[TITLE: First Ever Worldwide Weekly Live Stream Event! Thursday, June 1 at 9 PM North America Pacific Time.]
]Maybe more than that down the road, but right now at one a week.
The times are to be determined, at the moment, because I want to do a little bit of research.
I've got a very, very large international audience.
The United States has the top number of subscribers, but right after that is actually Vietnam.
[TITLE (in Vietnamese: Vietnam, Thank you! It is a pleasure to meet you!]
So, I want to say hello to all of my friends out in Vietnam, and all across the world as
well!
I want to make sure that the live streams are available for
everybody, so I may be having some in the middle of the night,
I may be having some in daytime, weekends, you know, you name it.
I'm trying to kind of account for everybody's schedules out there.
So maybe we'll have two a week, maybe, I'm not really sure.
[TITLE: Please leave a comment of what topics you would like for the Live Streaming!] Be looking for the live streaming on Thursday.
Please let me know in the comments below what topics you'd like to talk about.
And, also, like I said, I'm going to be messing with the dates and times and figuring out a good schedule, so
if it doesn't work out for everybody, I totally understand I apologize for that.
But, there will be another one coming real soon that will be better for your schedule--daytime, nighttime,
day of the week, et cetera. So.
Alright, well hey JC out of here everybody.
Have a great one, and we'll talk to you later. Bye!
