What specific types of videos do I make?
Well I do everything from poetry recitals which I get friends to do with
me or I will do. In English and in French! And they are really fun to do!

Then I also do music videos that are book themed! So I sing a song and then I'll make a music
video in which I somehow incorporate books!

permeating all of YouTube it kind of works out like trickled down "ideanomics"
where he creates the ideas and then he leases it to his inner circle and
then it flows down and it trickles down all the way through YouTube and everyone
benefits from it like not many people realize he is the source of all the
mediocre watered-down ideas that you see
I've come out with some pretty awful
videos over the years and worst of the worst of the worse them have all been
ideas that PewDiePie has given to me. PewDiePie comes up to me one day online
he says to me hey Anthony like I really love your reviews I really love your
channel but you know would be fun they'll be really funny if you reviewed
memes he would co-host the channel with me and Here I am like almost a year into
doing this meme series no sign from PewDiePie all the videos are terrible
and now my whole YouTube career has really just been shot in the leg over
PewDiePie and because this dude has essentially lied to me about sort of
collaborating on this channel helping with this channel and you know the sort
of getting involved in this whole mean thing is really just kind of sullied my
reputation to be quite honest sometimes people say to me how do you come up with
all your ideas and the truth is I don't whenever I now if I did I just message
PewDiePie whenever I need help he's always there
he even gave me the idea to dye my hair the same color as his I just don't know
where I'd be without PewDiePie.

YouTube with trying out different things I remember back in the day when all I
did was play amnesia I really thought that's all my channel

as you'll see from my application diversity is really important to me and to the work that I do
Channel 4's own commitment to diversity is one of the main reasons
I'm applying for this program - in my day job I work with transgender young people
and one of my mottos and my driving forces has been
'if you can't see it you can't be it'
I think it's really important that
people see themselves reflected in the programs that are made in the UK
I've experienced this myself as a queer person, as a disabled person,
as a person from a working-class background
if you don't see your viewpoint or people like
reflected in the programming that you watch you can start to think that
your voice and your viewpoint don't matter
I always try to make sure that that motto
is borne out in the programming that has been for LGBT History Month
if I'm hiring a venue I'll always make sure
that venues are accessible for
disabled people I'll always make sure we have BSL interpretation and that Deaf
LGBT people know that event they're going to be interepreted I think it's
important to build equality and diversity and accessibility in from the
ground up whenever I'm hiring acts or looking to put together a program for an
event I always make sure that the real mix of identities
for the launch party I ran for LGBT History Month last year
there were LGBT BAME people, there were trans performers
non-binary performers, we had a BSL poet,
we also had a 70 year old drag queen
and I think that might be the first time that some of the people
coming along, some of our partners in the Scottish government, have ever seen a
performance like that and I'm not sure that they're going to forget it in a hurry
one of the things that I really like about Channel 4 is that Channel 4
incorporates diversity into its programming so that program's like First Dates
like Come Dine With Me, like Gogglebox are including people
That are part of the fabric of British society, that the programs are not about
being trans or being black, being from a Muslim background or from a working-class background
that people's viewpoints, their lives are incorporated into the
everyday programming that Channel 4 put together and that diversity can be done
in a really irreverent, interesting, engaging way, it doesn't have to be
somebody coming into the PowerPoint and telling you what you can and can't do or
what you can and can't say

Hi, my name's Esme, and I'm in my final year
studying History at Brasenose College, Oxford
I come from a comprehensive school in Chichester.
No '11+' exams, no extortionate fees,
just seven years of an 'average' education
and a pair of extremely supportive parents behind me.
I was the only person in my year to get into Oxford -
I hadn't been coached in essay writing,
and I didn't have friends waiting to meet me in freshers' week.
I struggled to make my voice heard in those first few tutorials,
as I faced the biggest learning curve of my life.
It's the community at Brasenose that has really made my time so special.
I'm a 'statistic' at an elitist institution,
but these statistics don't paint the whole picture.
It's the experiences we have,
and the education we receive,
that create a unique and welcoming environment here.
We're tolerant, respectful and supportive.
There's no one 'type' of person that you find here,
we celebrate diversity with a committee of liberation reps,
and we stand against discrimination.
We've got north, south, UK and international representation,
and an LGBTQ+ flag that we proudly fly every year.
So many different backgrounds, ethnicities,
religions and sexualities are welcome at Brasenose,
and we are all united by a passion for learning
and enthusiasm for understanding the world we live in.
I know that I am incredibly lucky
to have experienced the education I've had here,
but I'm even luckier to have met a diverse, welcoming group of people
that have a zest for life, and have supported one another to achieve our best.
During my time at Brasenose, I was a welfare representative.
From this, I learned the importance of non-judgemental listening
and I consequently strive to treat all people
with respect and compassion.
I bring an awareness of my own privilege
to all my interactions,
but I also bring an understanding of diversity,
and a love of forging genuine human relationships.
I've worked hard my entire life
to follow my dreams and fulfil my aspirations,
and I bring this work ethic to every challenge,
as well as an appreciation of difference,
and a deep empathy for all people.

is informed by the people I've met
