Trust Me, You Can Do Better Than Him - Duration: 4:00.

Trust Me, You Can Do Better Than Him

Look at you.

Look how hard you can make your friends

laugh.

Look how deeply your pets love you.

Look how cute the outfits you wear are.

You're a catch.

You're someone worth fighting for.

So if some boy was stupid enough to

give you up, that's his loss.

Not yours.

You can do better than the boy who

thought he could get away with ignoring

your texts and canceling your plans.

The boy who assumed he could walk all

over you and you would just take it

because you liked him that much.

You can do better than the boy who lied

to you.

Who kept secrets for months without

feeling an ounce of guilt.

Who tricked you into believing

something untrue, even though you were

brutally honest with him from the start.

You can do better than the boy who

always kept his eyes open,

because one woman wasn't enough for him.

The boy who decided he would rather

hurt you than be with you.

Stop telling yourself that you did

something wrong.

That you chased him away.

That if you had a smaller waist or

larger lips, things would have ended up

differently.

That if you didn't double text or

stopped asking so many questions,

maybe he would have stayed.

Because that's bullshit.

He left, because that's what he planned

on doing all along.

There wasn't anything you could have

done to change his mind.

It was already made up,

long before you realized it.

But that's okay.

You don't need someone like him in your

life.

You can do better.

You are strong.

You are beautiful.

You are worthy of love — but you

deserve someone else's love.

Even if he was to turn around tomorrow

and text you, to ask you back to his

apartment to kiss away the pain,

you should still move on.

You should still kiss his ass goodbye.

Because you deserve better than a boy

who had to lose you to see how much he

needed you.

You deserve someone who realizes your

worth from the start.

Someone who knows how lucky he is every

time he sees your name on his cellphone.

Remember, the fact that he broke you to

pieces doesn't reflect poorly on you.

It reflects poorly on him.

Because he turned down the girl that

would have given him everything.

The girl who tried her hardest to make

him happy.

The girl who could do so much better

than him.

One day, you will find someone that is

better than him in every conceivable

way.

Someone nicer, someone smarter,

someone sexier.

Someone who doesn't lie, doesn't cheat,

and doesn't break important promises.

You just have to remember not to settle

for the next boy who comes along.

Don't let your heartbreak convince you

to jump into a relationship with a

stranger, because you just want to be

cuddled.

Wait until you find someone who has

actually earned your time and affection.

Wait until you find someone who

deserves all you have to give.

What do plants need to grow? - Duration: 5:42.

Every living animal needs to eat to make sure they are healthy and stay alive.

So, I have a question for you?

OK…..

Aren't plants living?

Yes

So why don't we feed them popcorn or other food?

Don't they need energy and nutrients to grow too?

Well, yes, but we don't need to feed them popcorn because they can make their own food!

They can!

Yep!

How?

Well, let's get our thinking caps on, and perform an experiment to see what ingredients

plants need to make their own food and grow well.

So what will we need?

You will need seeds or dried beans, soil, cotton balls, or both, 6 mason jars or

see through glass or plastic cups and some water, two lids for your jars, or if you are using

cups plastic wrap and tape.

Begin by putting some soil into 4 of your mason jars.

Next, stuff 2 of your jars with cotton balls.

The goal is to have about the same height of soil and cotton in each jar.

Next, you will get your bean, and gently place it between the jar and the cotton balls or

soil, so that you can see the growth of the bean through the clear container.

It's better to place more than one bean in each jar, just in case one of them is a dud.

Try to place your seed about a thumb's width from the top of the soil.

Now, you will need to water the soil and the cotton balls until they are damp, but not

too wet.

Repeat with each of the jars.

Place a top on two of the containers with soil.

If you are using plastic cups that don't have lids, then you can seal them with plastic

wrap and tape.

We will place half of the jars in the sun, and half of the jars in the closet.

Don't forget to water the plants if the soil or cotton balls become dry.

My question is: will our seeds grow well if they don't have everything:

soil, sun, air and water?

What do you think?

During the music make your prediction.

What do you notice?

This is day 7. What do you notice?

Let's return to our original question:

Do plants need water, soil, sun, air to

grow well?

What did our plants show us:

We watered all of our plants and all of them at least sprouted, so yes, water was important.

Check.

What about soil?

We noticed that the plants in the soil and the cotton all sprouted and began to grow

roots, but after the plants in the soil took off

and grew stems and leaves.

It's one thing to sprout-- because the bean provides energy of itself-

but after than the soil is important and provides the nutrients

that plants need to continue growing well.

Does a plant need soil?

To grow well-- it sure does.

Check

What about sun?

As we can see with the plants in the closet--

they still grew even without any sun.

In fact the plants in the closet, in the soil grew so tall so quickly because they were

searching for the sun--

Except in this case it was in the closet, so there was not light for it to find

but it still kept growing.

So they grow well without the sun?

Well…….wait a second.

Did you notice that they were white and not green?

Yeah, but they still grew.

Yes, but not the best that they can be.

If you look at the plant on the windowsill, which did get sunlight, it didn't grow as

tall, but it's stems and leaves grew green.

So the sun makes plants green?

Yes, in a way.

What happens is light is an important part of photosynthesis-- which is the process plants

use to create sugar, which is their food.

During photosynthesis, chlorophyll in the plants' leaves

captures the sun's rays

and creates sugar (the plant's energy), which then allows the plant to grow.

You know chlorophyll is present when the leaves and stems are green.

So in the closet with the white plant the chlorophyll wasn't working?

Eureka.

You're bright-- like the sun.

So if the plant is white it means that photosynthesis is not working and the plant is not creating

its own food, so it won't survive for very long.

Which means that plants need sun to be healthy.

Check.

What about air?

In the jar with the lid on it, the beans barely sprouted and then did not grow.

So it is clear that they are not healthy.

But why?

Let's see.. all around us is air, and in our air we have carbon dioxide and carbon

dioxide is a key ingredient in photosynthesis.

So, the plants in the open air use the carbon dioxide to carry out photosynthesis.

But the plants in the jars with lids (even in the sun), had no new supply of air, and

therefore not enough carbon dioxide to carry out photosynthesis.

And if a plant can't do photosynthesis, it can't produce its own food and

it can't grow

So once again air, more importantly, carbon dioxide, is important.

Check

So to put it all together, plants need water, soil, sun, and carbon dioxide to grow and

be healthy.

Now my friends, it is your turn..

What happens if you take the sprouted closet plant to the window-- will it turn green?

What happens if you take the sprouted window plant and put in the closet?

Or if you keep observing the plants for two weeks-- do they keep growing?

So you don't miss any episodes, make sure to subscribe.

Diplomat in chief How did Donald Trump do on his first Middle Ea - Duration: 5:34.

Diplomat in chief How did Donald Trump do on his first Middle East visit

President Donald Trump received both pageantry and a warm reception on his first trip to

the Middle East.

Whether bowing his head to receive the King Abdulaziz al Saud Collar from Saudi Arabian

King Salman, gathering around the glowing orb at the Global Center for Combating

Extremist Ideology in Riyadh or standing at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, Trump played

the leader of a superpower.

His hosts went along.

King Salman and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted a warm, public interaction

with the U.S. president, something neither had with former U.S. President Barack Obama.

Trump delivered.

But in policy terms, the trip did not address how Trump will grapple with the core problems

the United States has with each of these close allies, Saudi Arabia and Israel.

Trump is an entertainer, not a diplomat.

The Mideast leg of this trip reinforced that he values imagery over policy.

As an expert on U.S. policy in the Middle East and on Arab-Israeli relations, I think

it is clear that Trumps hopes for regional stability or an Israeli-Palestinian peace

agreement outcomes that require detailed policy rest on shaky ground.

Will he go beyond merely meeting Israeli and Saudi demands for positive public images and

the exchange of kind words?

Helping Saudi Arabia, undermining Iran On the question of challenging Irans alliances

and regional leadership aspirations, Trump and Netanyahu spoke much more harshly than

Obama.

In his speech in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Trump said, Iran has fueled the fires of sectarian

conflict and terror.

It is a government that speaks openly of mass murder, vowing the destruction of Israel,

death to America, and ruin for many leaders and nations in this room.

But Trump has not yet tried to undo the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement, despite his campaign

promises.

Perhaps he will try to squeeze the agreement indirectly by increasing sanctions against

Iran on the basis of other issues, such as terrorism or human rights violations.

But squeezing Iran would be a tough sell to U.S. rivals like Russia and China, or even

major European allies who generally like the existing agreement with Iran.

Still, Trumps visit to Riyadh made clear he is firmly on Saudi Arabias side in its

regional cold war with Iran.

Iran and Saudi Arabia both aspire to be the leading power in the Middle East.

They arent fighting each other directly, but rather by arming and aiding allies in

civil wars in nearby Syria and Yemen.

Trumps deepening of the U.S. commitment to Saudi Arabia was most tangibly signaled

by the massive arms commitment and the disinterest in both democracy and human rights questions

or any public discussion of Saudi Arabias role in the war in Yemen.

Trumps short time in Saudi Arabia left the central contradiction of his approach

unexplored.

In Trumps words, the United States will successfully achieve the aim of stamping

out extremism with Saudi Arabia as a lead partner.

But how is that feasible when Saudi Arabias repressive regime, ideology and wealth have

helped create the environment in which Islamist extremism thrives?

The Saudi government is a dictatorship lacking protections for free speech or a free press.

Moreover, though U.S.-Saudi cooperation on the matter has improved in recent years, private

Saudi money has flowed to violent radicals, including al-Qaida.

Israeli-Palestinian peace?

With the Israeli government, Trump changed the tone and atmospherics compared with Obama.

Trump and the Israeli prime minister have similar worldviews and, in public, seem genuinely

excited to be working together.

But even with this visit to Israel, it remains unclear how much U.S. policy will shift.

Like Obama and many previous U.S. presidents, Trump has pressed Israel to curtail settlement

construction in the West Bank.

He seems interested in solving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and creating peace, as he told both

Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, although no process is yet apparent.

Is it bluster or substance?

Its hard to tell.

On this trip, Trump avoided mentioning a two-state solution, the usual proposal offered to address

competing Israeli and Palestinian demands.

Perhaps Trump hopes Arab states will put pressure on Palestinians in order to achieve some other

kind of regional peace deal, but he and his advisers offered no concrete plan.

The ConversationIn the next year or two, the Trump administration will have to make choices

about its Middle East policy.

Either warmly embrace Saudi Arabia or comprehensively address the roots of extremism.

Either warmly embrace the Israeli government and its distaste for a two-state solution,

or pursue Israeli-Palestinian peace.

If the administration wants to use this trip to develop actual U.S. policy, it will need

to make hard choices and offer specific details.
