Hello and welcome to this video.

And todays topic is on Instagram

Instagram has started the new upload function on mobile browsers without using the app

You can use the function on your pc to upload directly to instagram

Whether Mac or Windows. You only need a browser to do this.

Take a look how easy it is!

I´ve opened the Chrome Browser but you can do it in Firefox to.

The only option you need, is the "mobile preview" function.

In most cases you can do it with rightclick and then use "inspect"

A window pops up and show the information of the site.

On the top left corner there is a button where you can switch to "toggle device toolbar"

If you click the button, the site refreshes and shows the mobile version of the instagram site.

Right now it shows us the site on a Nexus device, but you can switch to an iPhone if you want.

You can change the size and rotate into landscape mode if you want, but that has nothing to do with the tutorial.

Now we can log in with our username and password

And now we are on the feed.

This is the browser version that Instagram gives us now.

Something that catches immediately our eyes is the camera icon on the bottom,

because if we press it a dialog box with a file chooser pops up and you can upload a picture

I can demonstrate it with this testpicture

Now we can rotate the picture

Or scale it if you have a pc with touch input.

Now we can click on next in the dialog.

You can type your desciption with hashtags.

And then you can press share and you are done!

Now you get a message that confirms your upload.

Thats all, because up to this point you cant upload video files via the browser.
