What is "Questions: We Don't Have Answers"? - Duration: 3:03.

Hey, guys, just wanted to pop in here real quick

to partake in a cursed tradition I find at once horrid but relatively unobtrusive

and in my confusion between indifference and rage I deign not speak of it

and that's self-promotion.

Questions: We Don't Have Answers is a podcast I do with my friend Donovan Grant

whose writing about superheroes and comics is very compelling and you can find it… here.

And together, what we're asking for is not listeners necessarily, but creative contributors.

Voices to add to the mix.

The way the show works is we pose a Question,

for example "Is it Okay to Fall in Love with a Fictional Character?"

or "Can You Be Outraged On Other People's Behalf?"

and try to come up with talking points as part of a vague, greater effort

to maybe one day solve that problem.

And in these discussions of race, sexuality, gender, gun control, politics, news media--

we can't possibly know everything, logically, and in practice, maybe we know nothing.

We do care about everything, but generally speaking, if you had to boil it down,

Donovan is as preoccupied with issues of race as I am issues of gender,

and that leaves a lot of purely uncharted territory beyond.

So at the moment, we just throw out these talking points

and make our arguments but they represent incomplete perspectives, of course.

We're very passionate about really attempting to work toward solutions,

to come up with the language to apply to these solutions,

to get better at engaging with people about these things,

and we can't do that without, uh, you know, people, without you and what you bring to the table uniquely.

So please, take a listen, and share your thoughts on past episodes and future topics,

which I'll start posting on the Bagels After Midnight feed right here.

What matters, at its most paramount, is representation and what that means,

um, for the people watching, uh, and, uh, you know, uh…

DONOVAN: What that means is the celebration of individuals, I think.

HARRISON: Yeah.

DONOVAN: You know, like…

People don't like feeling like their life experience is invalidated

because they don't see it in media,

or if they see it in media, it's sort of misrepresented,

or there's one side but there's not another side.

Um, and that's the sort of thing that I'm seeing--

it's gotten to the point where it's, like, every day.

now true we all need money simply because we've all agreed that we all

money a lot of people don't know it

money is a measure of wealth money is not wealth money is like inches dollars

let's say are like inches they are a way of measuring real wealth which consists

of material resources plus energy plus intelligence that's wealth money

represents it we used to have the idea you see that gold was money gold is

wealth well that's perfectly absurd because does the prosperity of the world

constantly depend on discovering new gold mines when a banker buys gold what

does he pay for it with book entries

and so with this myth of gold in the background we think money is real and

money is the most unreal thing in the world it's a form of statistics and so

therefore we don't realize that as our wealth increases as a result of an

expanded technology we have to provide enough money to circulate it in other

words we have to pay people for the work done on their behalf by machinery

because otherwise the manufacturer won't be able to move the goods off the shelf

now that seems an outrageous idea frankly in this Accord with the

Protestant ethic you mean give people money where's the

money going to come from well money never did come from anywhere

it's like asking where do inches come from it isn't a question of realizing

that technology it was invented to save labor that doesn't mean in order to

dismiss your employees it means to let them have a vacation in other words a

shorter work week and for you yourself as the owner less to do so you can go in

the gaze of the moon or make love to your lady friend and why not do it where

everybody feels guilty about it they think having archaic Minds when we

didn't have this technology that they got to go on behaving the same way as

when machines didn't exist but now we have them but we won't use them except

in silly ways like for example rushing around everywhere in automobiles

polluting the air you know you don't really have to commute in most

businesses if you have a telephone never thought about that

you don't need an office you don't need to go rushing around exhausting yourself

and getting absolutely furious in the traffic jams on the freeway you know

we're all getting furious about things we can do nothing about you know we read

the newspapers and look at TV and see the disasters occurring all over the

world and feel upset and mad and there's nothing we can do

why waste your time pick up the telephone it saves you the cost of the

secretary the fag of mailing stuff sticking stamps on it going down to the

post office and if you can't wrap all the hours you'll realize that the

electronic method of communication that is the technology it is so much less

expensive than the ordinary way one goes about things it's like an automobile is

a mechanical imitation of a horse and carriage is completely irrational long

ago people have invented automobiles that were far more serviceable but David

somehow never get into use so it is a matter of keeping your mind closely on

what you really want to happen and what can be done instead of going through

meaningless rituals now I was referring to the fact that everybody needs money

and while this is the system while this is the social consensus everybody

doesn't need money but while it is the social consensus that that's what we all

need let's be frank about it and not say therefore the person whose interest is

in higher things whether it be academic religious or artistic oh you don't need

money because your satisfaction is surely in doing your work the only

people who need money the people who are miserable at their work their because

they're there to make money let's drop the hypocrisy the scholar the artist in

this context where everybody has to have money to live needs money just as much

as everybody else and should be paid accordingly this applies particularly to

the teacher in the schools or whatever you know people who are put down and

saying oh you're a teacher or you're a clergyman you don't need money because

you live on the spirit that's rubbish in I repeat in this context where everybody

has to have it so you know you think you can be a dropout and be a hippie you

have to go out on the street and say you've got any spare change oh you don't

need money you're a hippie huh don't fool yourself we all do but

we are living under conditions where our money as I have tried to explain is not

understood where it is not seen for the fiction and the useful fiction which it

is and so what do we do we have income tax which is the most absurd system of

accounting ever conceived yeah have you ever figured out what it costs to pay

income tax not just the tax itself but the cost of paying to yourself in to the

government it's colossal when I raise the question then why do it at all why

doesn't the government simply take off the top as much money as it needs an

issue the rest may be not simply that oh the silly business that torments

everybody would be canceled and the Department of Internal Revenue and all

its officers they needn't be frightened of losing their jobs because they could

simply be the officials who work at the other direction in other words they

could be the dispensers of the money to everybody to pay them for the amount of

work done by machinery on their behalf I mean doesn't that make sense what

we've got against this is not as it works an intellectual or mathematical

bloc but a psychological block and don't see that that is the inner meaning of

technology to save labour in other words

who could say that the the Labour Party in all the various countries never

really understood that it has to be saved

and the works against its own salvation with the ridiculous socialistic schemes

of making everybody equally poor which is what it variably happens instead of

making everybody equally rich but of course mind you when we are all equally

rich there will always be people who want to outdo other people and so feel

psychologically that they're poor even when they're in perfectly good health

very well fed housed and clothed you want to go a little bit beyond so is the

show I'm more outstanding than you and there of course we get into great

metaphysical depths but so far as the businesses of the matter is concerned I

think what I've said thus far should commend itself to your careful

consideration

What They Don't Tell You About Leadership - S1E4 - Duration: 3:21.

"You cannot afford to take offense!" With this sentence one of my mentors kept on

reminding me how much more important forgiveness is, than bitterness.

Whether it is gossip, rudeness, rebellion, wrong assumptions about you, or even lies about you,

or simple disagreements: people give us all sorts of reason, every day, to feel offended.

But if we do take offence, we open ourselves up to all sorts of emotions,

such as anger, frustration, depression, tiredness, and so on.

One of the greatest leaders of all times, Moses, was leading a people that really was

frustrating to lead. They complained all the time, they were rebellious, they just

couldn't be pleased. It drove Moses to the place where he

didn't want to live anymore. And he cried out to the Lord saying: "Take my life!

I don't want to go on like this" - Now we all know that God did not take his life.

But what this story does tell us is, that if we do take offense, we might end up at the place

of suicidal thoughts.

You cannot afford to take offense!

But how do I succeed to not take offense, if I do feel offended?

Well the truth is, I often don't.

I've tried so many times not to take offense, only to find myself taking offense.

But I also found that the one that lives in me, has overcome.

Jesus, when hanging on the cross, just before dying,

cried out to his father, saying:

"Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they're doing!"

This same Jesus, that forgave his enemies, the Romans, the Jews, you and me,

that same Jesus, has taken all our offense into the grave

and has overcome!

So next time you're struggling to "not take offense", remember that Jesus has overcome.

Share with him your frustrations.

Share with him how you feel, because he will understand!

And he will meet you right there in that situation, and help you to overcome,

because he already has.

What Die-Hard Fans Don't Even Know About The Big Bang Theory - Duration: 4:45.

The Big Bang Theory is one of the most-watched shows on TV, and with that kind of fan base,

you'd think there wouldn't be much that would slip past the public eye.

But over the course of 10 seasons—and counting—The Big Bang Theory has amassed plenty of bizarre

behind-the-scenes stories.

Here's a look at some of the details that even die-hard fans may not know about The

Big Bang Theory.

Paycheck charity

When The Big Bang Theory was renewed in 2014, Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, and Kaley Cuoco

each had a new contract giving them a cool $1 million an episode.

But costars Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik weren't so lucky.

They both joined the show later on, so for the last few seasons, they've been raking

in a relatively meager $200,000 per episode.

So for the show's 11th and 12th seasons, the highest-paid cast members agreed to cut their

pay to $900,000 an episode each so that the extra money could go toward Rauch and Bialik's

paychecks, raising their per-episode earnings to about $450,000.

Now that's friendship.

"You're just in time.

Baby be gone

In the middle of the tenth season, a new character joined The Big Bang Theory: Halley, the newborn

baby daughter of Howard and Bernadette.

And while it led to plenty of parenting jokes, the baby itself doesn't show up on screen

much, if at all.

"You know, in India, when my baby brother cried like that, the servants would just take

him far away so we couldn't hear it."

According to showrunner Steve Molaro, that's by design.

It solves the problem of having a baby on set, but it's also a tribute to Carol Ann

Susi, the unseen actress who played Howard's similarly always-screaming mother before her

death in 2014.

"I'm just saying, you can take the damn plastic off the couch once in a while!"

"Why, so you and Howard can hump on it?"

Theme song squabble

Canadian pop-rock band Barenaked Ladies is responsible for "The Big Bang Theory Theme."

The song generates revenue for the band every time it's played on The Big Bang Theory...which

is every episode.

But it's not without controversy.

Although longtime Barenaked Ladies frontman Steven Page left the band in 2009, he says

he was promised a 20 percent cut of any profits the song generated.

According to Page, he hasn't seen a dime of Big Bang theme song money.

He filed suit, alleging that his former bandmate Ed Robertson took his cut of the profits.

According to legal documents, Page believes the song generated somewhere in the neighborhood

of $1 million from the show.

Show-stopper

Mayim Bialik joined the series as neuroscientist Amy Farrah Fowler in Season 3 and slowly became

a love interest for Sheldon.

But she'd never seen the mega-popular show before her audition.

She told Variety:

"I knew it was a big deal because my manager told me like try and get this part.

That was pretty much all I knew of the show—is that it was really big."

And she still hasn't seen it.

"I don't have TV, so I don't really watch."

They were watching her, though.

"You know who's apparently really smart?

The girl who played TV's Blossom."

Chuck vs Chuck

Chuck Lorre is the man behind sitcom successes like Dharma & Greg and Two and a Half Men—and,

of course, The Big Bang Theory, but Jim Parsons had never heard of the guy before he auditioned

for the role of Sheldon.

Parsons said on The Late Show with David Letterman that when his agent called him to say he'd

landed an audition for the new "Chuck Lorre show," Parsons thought the agent meant Chuck

Woolery, the host of '80s game shows like Love Connection.

As a result, Parsons was less than enthusiastic about the audition.

He said, "I thought, why are they so excited about it?

We should see what the man has to offer before we're like, 'It's a new Chuck Woolery pilot!'"

A Bang in Belarus

Every episode of The Big Bang Theory ends with a "vanity card" written by producer Chuck

Lorre—a paragraph or so about any random topic he wants to talk about.

He writes a new one for each episode, and in 2010, one of those cards reported Lorre's

discovery of a TV show from the Eastern European nation of Belarus called The Theorists.

The premise?

"A sitcom about four nerdy scientists who live next door to a beautiful blonde waitress.

The characters are named Sheldon, Leo, Hovard, Raj, and Natasha."

The opening sequence for the show was "a rapid-fire montage of images which takes us from the

dawn of time to the present moment."

Unfortunately, the lawyers at Warner Bros.

Television told Lorre there wasn't anything he could do about the rip-off—the production

company responsible for The Theorists was owned by the Belarusian government.

Sheldon's species

Every Big Bang Theory fan knows Sheldon's catchphrase:

"Come here!"

"Bazinga!"

As it turns out, the catchphrase is pretty popular in the scientific community, too.

When jellyfish expert Dr. Lisa-Ann Gershwin identified a new species of Australian jellyfish,

she named the creature Bazinga rieki as an homage to Dr. Cooper.

But that's not the only scientific legacy the show has inspired—in 2013, biologists

in Brazil announced the discovery of a new bee: the orchid bee.

The researchers wrote that the bee had "tricked [them] for some time," and since Sheldon most

often uses "Bazinga!" when he tricks someone or plays a prank on them, the biologists thought

the word was a perfect way to describe the bee.

The Big Bang Theory's showrunner Steven Molaro released a statement in response, saying,

"Sheldon would be honored to know that Euglossa bazinga was inspired by him.

In fact, after Mothra and griffins, bees are his third-favorite flying creatures."

--real loud. He wasn't as close as he was that time. Anyway, we

said, "That was not a machine. That was a bird." Amen. GLORIA:

Yeah. KENNETH: And you have to call him Word bird. Anyway...

GLORIA: That's right. KENNETH: This little brook, we sat down

here, and Gloria said, "You see that little stream right there?"

I said, "Yeah." She said, "That's just like the Holy

Spirit. You can sit here and watch it or you can go get in

it, but He's always flowing." GLORIA: Yeah. KENNETH: He's

always moving in a direction towards outpouring. He's always

moving a direction towards grace. He is always out--

GLORIA: Amen. KENNETH: --to bless and to empower. And the

way to get the biggest you can is to obey what He says. "Well,

I just--" Now, the moment you start to whining, you're not

trusting the love. GLORIA: That's right. KENNETH: "Yeah,

but what if--" Yeah, but what if God loves you? So you learn to

turn it around instead of "Yeah, but...what if?" I remember when

the Lord first told us to go to Tulsa, to Oral Roberts

University. I didn't know anything about the Word. I--oh,

I was so determined. I'll tell you, I was so in love with

Jesus, I wanted to do everything I could. But we had two little

children. And I said, "Gloria, if we--if we just take off and

go up there, we'll starve." She said, "Kenneth, we're starving

now. We might as well starve in the will of God as out." GLORIA:

Weren't we great deep? Weren't we-- KENNETH: Well, but

that--hey, that--I saw it when she said that. I saw what I was

doing. And later I began to realize, I didn't trust Him. I

thought I did. GLORIA: Or we just didn't know him. KENNETH:

But I didn't. I didn't trust Him. The Word says, "Lean not to

your own understanding." Well, that's what I was doing, "But

trust in the Lord with all your heart." Now, to do that, you're

going to have to believe His love, and you're going to have

to trust His love. That comes from developing it and renewing

your mind to the fact that He is love. GLORIA: He always has the

best plan, always has the best-- KENNETH: Always, always, always.

GLORIA: --not second best, but the best. KENNETH: He's not

trying to hurt you. He's trying to help you. GLORIA: Yes.

KENNETH: He's not trying to put you down, He's trying to raise

you up. GLORIA: That's exactly right. KENNETH: Now, let's read

our Scripture there in I John today. And remember this: What

is it you need to be scriptural? GLORIA: Scriptures. KENNETH:

Scriptures. Ha-ha-ha-ha. Amen. Amen. I got that from Keith

Moore, praise God, who got it from Jesus. Now, I John 4:8, "He

that loveth not knoweth not God, for God--" TOGETHER: "--is

love." KENNETH: Now, Verse 15, "Whosoever shall confess that

Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God."

GLORIA: Praise God. KENNETH: Now, remember, God is love.

"Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God," who is

love, "God," who is love, "dwelleth in him, and he in

God," who is love. So "In the beginning, love created the

heavens and the earth." Amen. GLORIA: Look at-- KENNETH: Yeah.

And think about that garden. I mean, He created that garden out

of His love. It was the best He had. And He created this, and He

saw it was good, created that and saw it was good, created

man, and then he created his wife and saw that it was good.

And then it was--it was the--he didn't--there's nowhere in there

said he created cancer or created storms and--all that

came after man sinned. GLORIA: He didn't create sin either.

KENNETH: No, no, no, no, no. No. All that came after man's union

with Satan as a result of Satan's absolute hatred for man

and God. Now, let's look here. "We have known--" Verse 16, "We

have known and believed--" GLORIA: Yeah. KENNETH: "--the

love that God," who is love, "has to us. God is love; and he

that dwells in love," who is God, "dwelleth in God," who is

love, "and God," who is love, "in him." GLORIA: Yeah. KENNETH:

Now, I kept adding that in there. I want you to start doing

that so that you begin to have a higher reference for love. Don't

be going--don't take time to go back there. But don't be loving

your new car, loving your new clothes or loving pizza or

whatever else it is. Everybody just slings the word "love"

around like--but that's the reason you have really no regard

for the word "love." And we--you can carry on with that study.

That's simple. But, the apostle Paul wrote to Timothy and said,

"Tell them that are rich in this world not to be highminded," but

to "be ready to distribute--ready and willing to

distribute," to give, to sow, to help people. "For he gives us

all things--" Say, "All things." GLORIA: All things. KENNETH:

"--all things--" TOGETHER: "--richly to enjoy." KENNETH:

Now, how do you receive all things? Jesus said, "Seek ye

first the kingdom of God--" The kingdom of Who? GLORIA: God.

KENNETH: Who is love. GLORIA: Who is love. KENNETH: "Seek ye

first the kingdom of love, and all these things will be added

to you." See, that's what love does. Love adds to you. He

doesn't take away from you. Now, the devil's lied on God and

said, "Well, you--you know, He'll take away everything you

have." GLORIA: You know what he's always trying to get people

to do? We see it in the Scripture. "Curse God and die."

KENNETH: Yep. GLORIA: He told people in the Scripture,

"Curse--" or at least one person. KENNETH: That's what he

tried to do to Job. GLORIA: "Curse God and die." KENNETH:

That's his whole deal: Die. Die, die, die. GLORIA: Because he

talks bad about God. He talks like God's the problem instead

of-- KENNETH: Him. GLORIA: --he's the problem. KENNETH:

Well, he tries to divert your attention. GLORIA: Yeah, that's

right. KENNETH: And when you say--when you say things like,

"Well, it just scared me to death. Don't that thrill you to

death? Oh, don't you just love it," blah, blah, blah, blah,

blah, blah, and all you're doing is praising him. GLORIA: Mm.

KENNETH: Because he's the author of death. GLORIA: Not me.

KENNETH: He is the author of fear. I mean, that's

just--that's what you're doing. You're giving him place. Anyway,

let's-- GLORIA: Once you know better, you don't have to do

that. KENNETH: "We have known and believed the love that God

hath to us. God is love; he that dwells in love dwells in God,

and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect," or

perfected," that we may have boldness in the day of judgment:

because--" TOGETHER: "--as he is--" KENNETH: "--so are we in

this world." GLORIA: Glory to God. KENNETH: There is no fear

in love. GLORIA: No. KENNETH: Now, why don't--yeah, thank You,

Lord. Yeah, I'll do that. Glory to God. Thank You, Sir. Oh, two

places, Philippians 2, let's turn there, and

then--Philippians 2, and we'll look at Verse 5 there, and then

I Corinthians 2:16. Now, let's look at I Corinthians 2:16.

We'll look at that first. And "For who hath known the mind of

the Lord--" Now, listen, very familiar scripture, but,

ha-ha-ha, we're looking at the love of God here. Amen? "For who

hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we

have the mind of Christ." Translate the word "Christ,"

"the Anointed One and His anointing." We have the same

anointing available for our minds as Jesus has for His and

what He had while He was in the earth. Now, that's the love of

God. But, let's go over here to Philippians 2, and let's find

out what the mind of Christ is. "Let this mind be in you, which

was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God,

thought it not robbery to be equal with God." Now, wait a

minute. He said, "Let this mind--" That's the mind of

Christ, Gloria. That's the way Jesus thought. That's the way He

thinks now. He didn't think it was robbing or taking away from

God and--to be called equal with God. But now, what about us? How

can we think like that? I mean, you're not taking away from the

deity-- GLORIA: No. KENNETH: --and the majesty of God. To be

called equal with God? GLORIA: Think about it, though. That's

why we had to be born again. KENNETH: Well, yeah, that--yeah,

you took the words right out of my mouth. That's exactly

what--because He re-created us-- GLORIA: That's right. KENNETH:

--in the very image of Jesus, Who is exactly like and equal

with God. Now, what does that make us? We're born of love.

GLORIA: Love, born of God. God is love. KENNETH: One more step.

God is love, so are we. GLORIA: That's right. KENNETH: We're not

just born--I mean, we're just not filled with His love, we're

born of that love. Our spirit man is as much love as Jesus is

because He said this: "God loves us as much as He does Him." And

right before He went to the cross, He prayed that, "God,

reveal to the world You love them as much as You do Me."

Well, then we were born of the Spirit, born of the Word, born

of the Spirit of love, born of the Word of love, re-created

into the likeness of love. I'm talking about the inner man.

GLORIA: Praise God. KENNETH: But now, inside your born-again

spirit is the fruit of the spirit. That's not the fruit of

the Holy Spirit, that's the fruit of your reborn spirit.

GLORIA: It's in there. KENNETH: It's in there because He's in

there. And it--of course, it's--it's a fruit of the Spirit

of God. GLORIA: You know, this--as you know, this area up

here used to be peach orchards, and my granddaddy's peach

orchards. And all that--those peaches were so delicious. There

was nothing wrong with those peaches. But somebody had to go

pick those peaches to partake of them. And that's the way it is

with the fruit of the Spirit. It's born in us. It's in there.

Love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness,

faithfulness, gentleness is part of the new-born human spirit.

But we've got to yield to that fruit to walk in it. KENNETH:

For it to grow. GLORIA: Yeah. KENNETH: It has to grow and

come--and become dominant in your thinking. GLORIA: That's

right. We yield to love, we yield to faith. Whoo.

Hallelujah. KENNETH: You want to finish this? You're taking the

words right out of my mouth! I love it! GLORIA: I like it. Now

go ahead. KENNETH: I love it, because this is--that's the way

the--those are supernatural--that's the way the

Spirit of God moves supernaturally. I was one time

with Jerry Savelle. He came from one city, I came from another.

And--and they said, "We want both of you to preach today,

which one's going to go first?" "I don't know." And so the guy

said, "Brother Copeland, why don't you go first?" I said,

"Okay." Jerry went to his room, I went to mine. We hadn't talked

to one another in months. We got in there that night, and I--no,

wait a minute, I had it backwards. He said, "Brother

Savelle, you go first, and Brother Copeland, you follow

him." I said, "Okay." And I had this very notebook right here.

This was about--oh, this was probably 30 years ago. I had my

notebook sitting right here, and I had the--I had the message

outlined there, "Faith in the Name of Jesus, Part 2," because

that's what the Lord told me to pick. GLORIA: Mm-hmm. KENNETH:

Well, I'm sitting there like this, and I'm sitting next to

the man that was the head of the Full Gospel Business Men's

chapter there, for whom we were speaking. I said--and he--Jerry

walked up there, and he starts preaching on "Faith in the Name

of Jesus." I said, "You want to see a miracle?" He said, "Yeah."

I said, "Okay, watch." I said, "I never said anything to Jerry

about this." And he preached-- GLORIA: You both heard from God.

KENNETH: Gloria, he preached right down to where I was going

to start, and he read the scripture. He said, "You know, I

believe that's--I'm going to finish this point right here,

and that's--and I'm going to turn it over to Brother

Copeland." It was just a-- GLORIA: Led by the Spirit.

KENNETH: --supernatural move of the Spirit. And that's what--I

want you to learn this. People miss the supernatural looking

for the spectacular. These things are supernatural. The

Spirit of God is moving in you. And if--the more you speak about

love, the more you talk about God being love, the more you

confess it with your mouth, the more you practice it, fear gets

flushed out of there, and love, joy, peace, long-suffering, or

patience, gentleness, goodness, amen-- GLORIA: That's good.

KENNETH: Isn't it good? It starts growing up in there.

Faithfulness. GLORIA: Faith works by love. KENNETH: Amen.

And, oh--and God is good, and His mercy endures forever.

GLORIA: Praise God. KENNETH: And what happens? You get to where

you're the same way. You get to where, instead of launching back

at people, something rises up in you and you say, "Nope, nope,

nope. Now wait a minute. Now, what does that--what difference

does that make to me? Have I got any part of this, or am I just

judging those folks?" Particularly watching news

broadcasts and stuff like that. And the Lord said to me more

than once, He said, "I can't trust you with a news broadcast.

Until you quit, I'm going to quit. I'm going to command you

stop watching it." So I did for a while. I just quit watching it

and totally immersed myself in the Word of God. You can get

news before it happens if you know how to listen. And then the

Lord said, "Okay now, but you watch your mouth." I get mad at

them for what they're talking about, you know. Anyway, you

can't get mad at the news broadcast and develop the fruit

of the Spirit. No. You develop your flesh when you're doing

that. That's the difference. Why? "Let this mind--" GLORIA:

Yeah. KENNETH: "--be in you." For instance, let's go over to I

Corinthians 13, the great love chapter. GLORIA: Mm-hmm.

KENNETH: "Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels,

and have not love--" Now, you notice the King James

translation translates "agape" as "charity." And I wonder

why--why would they translate that like that? Of course, they

were translated hundreds of years ago. And I thought, "Why

do that? Why didn't they just say, 'Love'?" And one day it

just--it came as a revelation to me. They were trying to get this

across, because back there then, charity was a big deal. You had

to be a charitable person. And to be part of a charitable

organization was to help people that absolutely could not help

themselves. And, "I don't want any charity." Yeah, you do. They

were talking about the giving love and nature of God. GLORIA:

Yeah, that's right. KENNETH: And they used a word that we don't

use anymore. But if you go back and look up that word "charity"

in old English-- GLORIA: I'm trying to--I'm seeing something

if I can get it out. It's--it's the reason it's called charity

is because charity--when you give to charity, you don't

expect anything back from that charity. KENNETH: Oh, that's

good, yeah. GLORIA: And that's the way giving love is. KENNETH:

Yeah. GLORIA: You walk in that giving love, even if somebody's

not walking in love with you. KENNETH: That's right. GLORIA:

And you're blessed, and you're free. KENNETH: Look what he said

here, "Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels, and

have not the love of God, I'm become as a sounding brass, or a

tinkling cymbal." Now, he just talked about the nine

manifestations of the Holy Spirit and the way He worked.

Now you come over here and you just--you just tear the gifts of

the Spirit here, the ministry gifts of the Holy Ghost, the

power gifts of the Spirit, you just tear them apart with not

having any love. GLORIA: Yeah. KENNETH: So you come on down

through these--we won't take time to read all that. But now

look at the 4th verse, "The love of God suffers long." Now,

remember, Jesus said--or the Holy Spirit said, in

Philippians, "Let this mind be in you, which was in Christ

Jesus: Who thought it not robbery to be called equal with

God." That's the mind of Christ thinking that way. Now, you've

been re-created when you made Jesus Lord. Your spirit man was

totally re-created, not just forgiven, but born again, born

of the Spirit. So now, let's get back to this and let's touch on

this very carefully now. "The love of God suffers long and is

kind." Stop right there. Glory to God. Then so am I. I'm adding

my faith to this. See what I'm doing? GLORIA: Mm-hmm. KENNETH:

And in order to add-- GLORIA: You're receiving it. KENNETH:

Yeah. In order to do that, I have to confess it with my

mouth. That's what faith in God does. So that's what faith in

love does, because faith in God is faith in love is faith in

God. "Love of God envies not--" GLORIA: No jealousy. KENNETH:

"--doesn't vaunt itself, is not puffed up." Neither am I. "Doth

not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily

provoked, thinketh no evil--" Then, glory to God, neither do

I. "--rejoices not in iniquity--" neither do I "--but

rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things,

hopes all things, endures all things. The love of God never

fails," and neither do I, when I walk in love-- GLORIA: That's

right. KENNETH: --and walk in His commandments. Glory to God.

Because I have no fear. And without fear, I have faith in

God and in His love. GLORIA: Praise God. KENNETH: We're out

Ooo that was a bad idea.

Hey! It's Cory! I've have a lot of questions. I have used

a wheelchair for almost my whole life. I haven't walked in like... ever.

One of the questions that I get asked a lot is, "What is it like being in a wheelchair?"

And I hope that you can help me...but I have a lot of questions about walking

nobody has answered for me yet and i am very confused.

By the way if you're wondering...I've had a lot of Botox.

Just kidding. I was born

with a disease that affects the muscles in my face, so if you're worried about it...

I don't know.

The first thing I don't understand about walking is falling. I really don't

understand how people fall so much over nothing. Like, if there's a crack in the road

I understand, like okay there's some sort of like obstacle here. But when people just

fall over nothing, I don't get it. I'm genuinely confused. Did you just forget that

you're walking? Do you forget where your feet are? And everyone's like, "Oh wow are

you okay?" And I'm like, "How did that happen?" I don't get it.

The second thing that I don't understand about walking; girls who wear heels. I can rationalize buying like

a million pairs of heels I never ruin the soles of my heels

I'm not walking anywhere...These girls who wear these 7 inch heels.

One, how do you..even like why..like walking on the ground seems like a challenge enough

How would you ever walk in like... little tiny like...I just...I don't....AND how

do you physically continue to walk after your heels have like eaten into your heels?

How do you physically continue to do it? I have seen your blisters and your bloody

feet after your shoes have like velociraptor slashed your ankles. I have gotten a papercut and

been out of commission for like two weeks. I don't understand how you girls

just continue to bear through it. I just...I don't get it.

And the last thing I don't understand about walking are...is...are...are...

stairs. When I see a flight of stairs, I just see a bunch of balance beams glued together.

If you fall, do you just go forever? Is there any stopping? You...I...okay, my

theory is that you just keep rolling down stairs for the rest of your life.

I hope that you guys can help me with this. I'm so confused. I don't get it and I

hope that you have an awesome day I want to make more videos for you...so yeah!

Roller blades. Why are the breaks on the back of the roller blade but on the front of the roller skate?
