hi everyone welcome to DNVlogsLife. today I'm doing something different you
guys have been asking me how do you create your thumbnails so I'm going to
show you the apps I use the software use on my computer and every single thing so
let's get started so on my phone add a couple of apps that have helped me out
my Photos app is just a collection of photos of my gallery I also have photo
editors which helps me clean up stuff the blend editor else need to blend
pictures together while the erase helped me erase background and of course in
shot of me create videos for instance so I'm going to click the eraser app and
when there comes up I can choose the file that I want or the picture I want
this is the picture I want and after choosing the picture I now click on the
erase option now the Irate option allows me to erase all much stuff I want you
can adjust the size of our you're going to be raising you can make it as small
as possible and then all you just do is you just
move your hand on the picture the side of the picture that you don't want to
appear so sorry daddy so all I want is just an image of myself
so I repeated this same action for the rest of the people that are going to be
on my Tom nail and then it is now time to move it onto my computer to get the
pictures onto my computer abusing Dropbox door box is good because it
helps you share pictures from your phone onto your computer on my computer I'm
using this app called photoscape it came with my computer and I think I don't
know if you can download it I'm sure you can download it but it's a very good
editor for pictures so I'm going to be using the editor section of it and what
I do is I click on the picture image right there and once I click on the
picture image it will bring up my file selection now my file selection I can
pick my picture that I want and that transfers it
to the editor now these are the three pictures that I'm working with and I can
move it around and position them I'll be go out small I want them to be once I
figure out where I want them to be placed and arranged then I need to start
cleaning up things for any terminals that I do after I've arranged pictures
how I want them to be another thing that I do is I minimize the size of the
actual thumbnail and this is why I do it because when you're on a mobile device
the smaller the size the more readable it can be and I also do this when I have
already put the text on it so that it's easy for people to read the text when
you see the Tom nail on their YouTube feed because I want this picture to pop
what I'm going to do is I'm going to outline the white you know your the
picture themselves each image and I can outline it and then I can fill the
background I can do so many things right here
but this picture is actually for a collaboration that I did with CCM me and
loved life and it's a collaboration on day in the life of a Nigerian mom hope
you guys have watched it if you've not please go and watch that video and watch
all the latest video and it is so good so you can see right now I'm just
outlining it and being very careful so that I don't cover the image itself so
be very gentle even after outlining it you might say you're done you don't need
any text but I do like adding text to my Tom nails because it helps people know
what did Tom what the video is about because sometimes the people don't add
the text and they feel like okay somebody who can tell what it's about
but not all the time so never assume add text and add big text okay so let's go
to the text section to add text you need to click the text option once you click
the text option you're going to get this dialog that will appear the dialog will
allow you be able to type in whatever text you
want to appear on the thumbnail and the different options in there you can
change the font you can add shadows outline and different things in there so
this is what my text looks like it's a white with outline red and I always like
to put a box behind my text because it allows my text to kind of pop now this
box image that I'm putting as an opacity of like 50% so that it kind of shows the
images in the background and also the text itself so what I'm doing is I'm
just moving the text and then what because I move the text behind the box I
need to do what is called a bring front so and like in my text I now write I'm
going to right-click on it and you'll see I'll be able to bring it forth to
the front and you can see how the text pops out so I can repeat the same action
again for the information about Nigeria so I'm just creating my box which I'm
going to have like a green box because in a way from Nigeria so green white
green yay so I'm dragging my box making it as big as I want it to be and the
opacity still stays so you don't have to worry about changing your positive
whatever and the opacity is just like transparency
kind of thing so I'm changing the text again making it to say what I want which
is Nigerian mom so once I do that I just have to move the image of the text right
on top of where I want it to be and that's pretty much it for the text so
the last thing that I do is I brand my Tom nails I always buy my term nails
with the name of my channel so you can see right there I'm branding it with D
and vlogged lines on all my Tom nails on DN blogs life you'll see this small
image of the channel name and even on discovering natural channel you'll see
the big pink image showing discovering natural so yeah so you need to brand
branding is very good because it allows people to almost attend instance quickly
see your thumbnails among all the millions of Tom Neal they're on YouTube
and it's kind of good because kind of mix it like your own so I will love it
so what I'm just doing in the last instance is just adding the names of the
people that I'm collaborating with which is to see Emmy and also love life so I
hope you guys enjoyed this short tutorial there's so many more stuff you
can do with it you can if somebody has a pimple on the face I can remove that but
I'm not going to get into that today but I want you guys to check out that
