Hi everyone! Hi friends!
This is just a short video (!) from me to you
just to speak a bit about ASGARDIA.
So, what is ASGARDIA? Well, ASGARDIA is a unique project of its kind:
it is basically a SPACE NATION. What is a SPACE NATION?
Well, it has never been done before so it's something very new and very special. It was initiated by,
Well, I would say a visionary person,
a person with a vision. His name is Igor Ashurbeyli He is Russian,
he is a scientist, businessman, he is said to be a billionaire and he has realised, he has decided actually
to start a SPACE NATION. What is a SPACE NATION? Well, first, it is a nation in space
What does it mean? Well for now, since
we don't have access to space We don't have bases in space,
it is first to UNITE mankind. How to unite mankind?
Well, a nation needs to have citizens. Well Mr Ashurbeyli,
with a team of
scientists
who has joined this project from different universities in Canada and others
(you can find details online)
basically has decided to offer citizenship to this new to-be nation to anyone on EARTH
and he is crossing all these differences of races genderS
political religious
language affiliations, denominations or whatever. It's kind of really uniting Mankind.
The motto of that nation is
"ONE HUMANITY, ONE UNITY."
So, well it's a start!
The project started some years ago but was
formalised last year I think on October 12th (2016)
And from that date on, a lot of work has been put on by many people
I would say now
"CITIZENS" of that
newly formed nation.
who
who have this dream a common vision to build
this new world, a world that could be on Earth and could be in Space
a satellite (I will talk in another video about that)
Sorry
a satellite will be launched later this year it is announced to be October or November
(an interesting date!)
Anyway, just to say
There are about…
Well it's a bit difficult (to explain) but let's start with the constitution A Nation has to be
basically
built on the common vision and
this vision is for now
represented by this Constitution that a team of, well I would say: volunteers specialists
(from) different horizons people with different experiences
and basically
we HAVE A Constitution you can go and check it (out)
The idea is this Constitution is there to
describe who can be a citizen, how the government will be led for this newly formed Nation and what it means
that this Nation exists.
So,
why am I talking to you about that? Well because I realised when I posted on my Facebook page
that you know I just wanted to have your opinion, I realised actually people don't really know what it is.
So why am I talking to you?
Because I think it is a really, a very interesting project. You see: we have many theories, ideas to Unite Mankind
I personally have some
with my own core beliefs but
honestly
this is the first world scale experiment I could say, project, vision to Unite Mankind.
Because basically, I am currently now a Citizen of Asgardia. Well, how did I do that? Well, you can just click here
and you can yourself apply.
It is open to everyone and anyone. Of course, if you have a vision or you share the vision if you read the Constitution
because to become citizen, obviously, you need to endorse the Constitution.
Meaning: you accept it. So it's not like if you reject it you're then not a citizen obviously.
But anyway, this Constitution, in my opinion, has many flaws and things that need to be worked on
but first, we need to have a
Constitution to start working with.
(sorry, my screen went black because I'm talking too much)
Anyway...
so have a look at this Constitution. Now, why am I passionate about that? Well,
let's say an Indian friend,
and
a Kenyan friend who have never met, who have not many
common points like one can be a doctor the other one a farmer
basically, if they can use this tool that is, this wonderful tool of the Internet nowadays,
well, they can both find common points through that vision
they can be, one can be a Hindu the other one can be a Christian and they can meet there
and they can together benefit from this vision of a new Nation.
Yes. it will be a real Nation: the project is to go past,
once the validation of the Constitution by a sufficient number of
citizens
We will go forward to elections general elections which actually started already. I myself am a candidate
(but that's something else) well, the idea is
we can together build this nation this new nation. Wherever we are on Earth and we can benefit from
everything about it.
And as long as you can use the Internet tool and the common well, you share the common vision described in the Constitution,
why not try it out?
For now it doesn't cost anything but some time to read it and understand what it means and what it implies
for, I would say, the future of Mankind. Because we don't have borders anymore.
We can be ONE NATION and yes, that's what I was about to say:
it will be in process to be recognised by the United Nations.
And that means there will be Embassies representative of that new Nation, there will be dual citizenship,
for countries that recognise it, which is, I know, not all of them, but all in all this is something that is to me
– MIND BLOWING! I mean, can you imagine, we will build a New Nation
out of
nothing
It's not like we will fight for a land and say: "This is our land!" and others will say: "No, this is our land!"
and you know, all these things from History we will leave them behind…
Now, we can be
ONE.
Why not try!? So, that's why I'm here now and I'm telling you about this.
So, at least, if you're not interested, well, you know more about it and if you want to pursue, well, I've given you a few links.
You can check again here, and you can check if you want to see what I'm saying, my candidature here. But anyway,
That's a great thing: please check it out! Thank you friends! :)

Your Navel Shape Can Reveal The Disease You're Suffering From - Duration: 1:54.
YOUR NAVEL SHAPE CAN REVEAL THE DISEASE YOU'RE SUFFERING FROM
The Navel is a hollowed or raised area of the abdomen in all mammals which aren't considered
very important.
We usually ignore its hygiene and never think much of it, but the Navel can reveal a lot
about our health.
The Navel sits at the attachment site of the umbilical cord – once the cord is detached,
the scar stays in the abdominal area and forms the navel.
To avoid unwanted infections and bigger health problems, it's necessary to care about the
navel hygiene.
There are several types of Navels, and each of them can indicate what diseases you are
more prone to.
Here are the main five Navel types:
#1.
PROTRUDING NAVEL
A protruding belly button means that you're at an increased risk of a hernia, so experts
suggest avoiding lifting heavy things.
#2.
SMALL NAVEL
People with small belly buttons should consume more vitamin C as they're more prone to
the flu and bacterial infections.
#3.
ALMOND-SHAPED NAVEL
This type of navel indicates a higher risk of headaches and migraines, as well as brittle
bones and weak muscles.
#4.
CIRCULAR NAVEL
This type of navel may indicate digestive problems such as constipation.
It is most common among overweight and obese people.
#5.
U-SHAPED NAVEL
People with a U-shaped navel are more prone to kidney and skin diseases.
Children born with this type of navel may suffer from some genetic problems.
Stay healthy and active!

How to use CAN, COULD and MAY to ask for permission - Duration: 7:04.
How are these questions different?
And how do we answer them?
In this lesson we'll find out.
We use all these phrases to ask if it's OK to do something.
Let's look at three examples.
Can I park here, officer?
No, it's not allowed.
Could I borrow your toothbrush?
What's wrong with yours?
I lost it.
Oh, Vicki.
I've got a yoga class this evening and I don't want to be late.
May I leave work early?
Yeah, OK.
Maybe I'll come with you.
That would be great.
'Can I...', 'Could I...' and 'May I...'
They all mean the same thing here.
Look, we can change them around and the meanings stay the same.
We use all these phrases to ask for permission to do something.
You can't park here.
You don't have permission.
So is there a difference?
Well yes, it's about the situation we're in and how careful we want to be about being
correct and polite.
'May' is the most formal.
'Can' is the most informal.
And 'could' is a little more formal than 'can'.
When I was a child, my mum told me I should use 'May I' to ask for permission.
It was a common rule back then and the old grammar books said 'May I' was more polite.
But the way we speak has changed over time and these days 'Can I' is much more frequent.
In fact English speakers are now ten times more likely to say 'Can I' than 'May I'.
Yeah, ten times!
So do you need to learn 'May I' or can you forget it?
You need it because there are particular situations where we still use it.
Maybe if someone's giving a talk or speech to a group of people.
May I begin by thanking you all of you for being with us today…?
Or perhaps they're providing a service to a customer.
This is Rachel speaking.
Sorry to keep you waiting.
How may I help you?
Or perhaps they're in a business meeting, and they want to make a suggestion.
I don't think so.
Why not?
It's not a good idea.
Yes it is.
May I suggest we come back to this later if we have time?
So 'may I', 'could I', 'can I' – they're all useful when you need to ask for permission.
But most of the time you're going to say 'Can I' or 'Could I'.
Now the next thing.
How should you respond if someone asks these questions?
Let's look at some more examples, but this time pay attention to the answers.
You're going to hear six different replies.
Are you ready?
Vicki, can I have a word?
Sure.
May I come in?
Mr Hale!
Why, certainly.
Congratulations.
Thank you very much.
My battery's flat.
Can I use your phone?
Yes, of course.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Could I borrow these?
Yeah, OK.
Thank you.
May I serve tea now Miss Angorda?
Yes, please do, Warner.
Thank you.
Oh pizza.
Can I have some?
Sure.
May I have some too?
Yes, help yourself.
Here are the replies you heard.
They all mean 'yes' and they're all polite.
But which two are most formal?
What do you think?
It's these two: 'Why certainly' and 'Please do' are a little more formal.
Also, notice 'Help yourself'.
It's a little different.
We say this when we want someone to serve themselves or to take something.
Oh pizza.
Can I have some?
Sure.
May I have some too?
Yes, help yourself.
OK, now that's how we say yes, but what if we want to say no?
Well, sometimes we apologise.
Can I borrow these?
Oh no.
I'm afraid I need them.
That's OK.
I'm afraid.
It means 'I'm sorry' here so it's a gentle, polite no.
Of course we can also give a firm or definite no.
Oh Kathy!
How are you?
Fine.
Do you have a moment?
Can we speak with you about the Boston project?
What about it?
It's the deadline.
We're a little behind.
Could we have another week?
No way.
You need to finish by Friday?
Well, then can we hire an assistant?
Not on your life.
You don't like the idea then?
In a word, no.
These phrases are all definite no's and the last one means you won't even discuss
it.
Great!
So that's it.
Now you know how we use 'can', 'could' and 'may' to ask for permission.
And you also know some different ways to reply.
If you enjoyed this video, can I make a suggestion?
Why not subscribe to our channel?
And could I suggest you share this video with a friend?
Perhaps they'll enjoy it too.
See you all next week!
Bye now!

'I don't trust the Nigerian government, we can't restructure' - Nnamdi Kanu - Duration: 2:57.
'I don't trust the Nigerian government, we can't restructure' - Nnamdi Kanu
- Nnamdi Kanu has revealed that he does not believe in restructuring of Nigeria. - Speaking to the press, he said the Nigerian government does not keep to its promises.
- The leader of the IPOB has become popular with several groups trooping to meet him in Umuahia recently.
On Thursday, June 29, 7 pro-Biafra groups, agreed to work together under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
According to them, their aim is to achieve the quest for referendum that will lead to the formation of the Republic of Biafra.
The groups said they decided to work together so that they would be speaking with one voice, seeking one objective of securing the Republic of Biafra.
Recent comments from the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), in Anambra state are being viewed as jealousy. The party had said Kanu should stop parading himself as an Igbo Emperor.
IPOB has however said APGA will cease to exist as a political party after November 18 gubernatorial election in the state.
In his reaction, Nnamdi Kanu said he was humbled by the decision of the various groups and assured that he would not let them down.
He said: "I am humbled by this decision of the groups. We started together and we have all ended up together because we are sincere and purposeful. I am not in the habit of letting my friends down.
"Everybody will be carried along; if I am invited for any meeting, I will take some people along. Today is a great day for Biafrans all over the world.
"Today, we have shamed our enemies that think that we cannot come together, who think that if we get Biafra, we will kill ourselves, we have shamed them.
Kanu also said he does not believe in the restructuring of Nigeria being called by eminent Nigerians, saying that Nigerian government would not keep any agreement reached in the restructuring exercise. According to him, it is referendum or nothing.
He said Aburi agreement was reneged on by Nigerian government and that the 2014 National Conference was dumped where it was coated by dust until the Biafra agitation became intense and it was remembered.

What's the Most "American" Car You Can Buy? | Consumer Reports - Duration: 1:49.
If a car rolling off the assembly line today could talk,
you would hear it speaking in many languages.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Because the parts manufacturing and vehicle assembly
take place all over the globe.
That's why buying American isn't as simple
as consumers might like.
So which are 2017's most American-built cars?
We looked at vehicles in five categories
with the highest percentage of domestic parts
and that were assembled right here in the good old US of A.
The most American built vehicle overall is the Kia Optima 2.4L
sedan, with 83% of its parts coming from domestic sources.
This Consumer Reports top pick is put together
at its plant in West Point, Georgia.
The Honda Ridgeline is the most patriotic pickup
you can buy, with domestic parts making up 75% of this truck,
and it's assembled here in Lincoln, Alabama.
The 2018 Honda Odyssey is also assembled
at the Lincoln, Alabama plant.
This minivan bleeds red, white, and blue,
with 75% of its parts sourced domestically.
The Chevrolet Corvette is known as a quintessentially American
car, with 64% of its parts coming from domestic sources,
and it's assembled in the all-American city
of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The small SUV market is huge, and the biggest flag waver
of the bunch is the Honda CR-V. It's put together
in East Liberty, Ohio, and sources 75% of its parts
domestically.

Can Words Hurt You? - Duration: 5:19.
The world can be a frustrating and cruel place.
You should never expect to walk through life without seeing and hearing things that shock,
offend, and disgust you.
Unfortunately, that's just the way it is.
Often these offensive and shocking ideas take the form of harassment against individuals or groups,
and people in certain groups are more likely to receive hate than others.
For example, public figures, and celebrities, by the nature of their inflated exposure to
the world tend to receive way more harassment than other people.
But even among those who aren't public figures, groups like women and LGBT people statistically
receive a disproportionate amount of harassment and bullying.
The things people say and the ideas people share can have an impact our mood and emotional
state.
But at the end of the day, they're just words, right?
They don't actually hurt anybody.
Right?
Hi, I'm T1J. (Follow me!)
So harassment and bullying is a big problem, especially online.
And this problem is made more complicated by the fact that certain types of people are
disproportionately targeted.
Which calls into the conversation questions about prejudice and stereotypes and perceptions
of certain groups.
Which is sadly more than I want to cover in this particular video.
But maybe one day.
So I think that most people agree that when harassment evolves into physical violence
or stalking and other credible threats to someone's safety and well-being, that's
something we shouldn't ignore.
But what verbal or written harassment?
While most people acknowledge that it exists and it sucks, a lot of people's default
reaction is to downplay their significance.
Because they're only words, of course, they can't actually hurt you.
But there's several problems with this.
First of all, I should point out that I think this is often said disingenuously.
Like there's kind of a movement in today's society that is trying really hard to normalize
douchey behavior.
By calling people snowflakes or triggered, or overly PC whenever they call someone out
for being an asshole.
And I think this is often that.
People are like, "get over it.
Stop being so sensitive.
It's just words."
But no, it's okay to call someone out if they've been a garbage human.
And I think it's pretty harmful to make the assertion that it's unreasonable for
a victim of harassment to confront or condemn their harassers.
Regardless of the nature of that harassment.
Beyond that, I think this mindset implies that emotional pain is somehow less significant
or less traumatizing than physical pain.
Which is obviously ridiculous.
Anyone who has ever felt depression or anxiety or fear or loneliness knows those emotions
can be just as if not more intense than physical pain.
And I think we should all be able to agree that words and ideas can lead to us having
these emotions.
People can say things that make us sad or angry or anxious.
Like when I read that Snake wasn't gonna be in the new Smash Bros. game.
I raged.
This is also backed by science, studies show that the same parts of your brain that react
to physical pain, also react to social or emotional pain.
In many cases, your brain literally can't tell the difference.
It's also been shown that certain words, particularly words that reference or relate
to pain or painful situations, trigger a pain response in the brain.
Sort of like if you're getting a shot at the doctor and they tell you, "this might
hurt."
That essentially makes the pain worse because it basically tells your brain, "go ahead
and fire up those pain receptors!"
So if someone is sending you harassing messages about how you should kill yourself or how
they're gonna punch you in the face if they see you,
or spreading ideas about how your race should be cleansed or how you should undergo painful
conversion therapy, this literally activates the region of your brain that processes pain.
Harassment and bullying can also have long term effects on the brain.
I think that most of us can agree at least on a basic level that bullying can lead to
depression and anxiety, and at the very least stress.
And we all know that stress is very unhealthy.
It can lead to actual physical pain through headaches, and fatigue and muscle tension.
And it can lead to behaviors that cause physical pain, like drug abuse, or overeating.
Or binge watching the Office on Netflix.
And they're about to remove The Office from Netflix yall!
Talk about emotional reactions.
What am I gonna do?
I have never cared about fictional characters as much I care about Jim and Pam.
This is an outrage.
…Anyway.
There was a study done at the University of Ottawa that suggests that long term bullying
actually caused teenagers brains to regularly produce excessive levels of cortisol, which
is a hormone that is normally released in the body in response to stress.
According to the researchers, the overproduction of cortisol actually impacts other brain functions,
particularly your memory.
So I think most of us who value not being an asshole, understand that it's just not
cool to harass or bully people, verbally or otherwise.
But on that same token, it's inaccurate and irresponsible to tell people just suck
it up and take it, because they're only words.
Because the fact of the matter is words and ideas can and do hurt, sometimes more than
sticks and stones.
DAS JUS ME DOE.

Can U.S. and South Korea share a North Korea strategy? - Duration: 8:01.
JUDY WOODRUFF: But first: President Trump hosted South Korea's new president at the
White House today, the first meeting between the two leaders, who are looking for a common
approach to dealing with North Korea.
William Brangham has that.
WILLIAM BRANGHAM: President Moon Jae-in arrived at the White House with tensions over North
Korea still running high.
In the Rose Garden, President Trump pressed again for ending the North's nuclear and weapons
programs.
DONALD TRUMP, President of the United States: The era of strategic patience with the North
Korean regime has failed.
Many years, and it's failed.
And, frankly, that patience is over.
We're working closely with South Korea and Japan as well as partners around the world
on a range of diplomatic security and economic measures to protect our allies and our own
citizens from this menace known as North Korea.
WILLIAM BRANGHAM: North Korea, led by Kim Jong-un, has already test-launched more than
a dozen missiles this year, all in defiance of international sanctions.
South Korea President Moon has long advocated for diplomatic engagement with Pyongyang.
And since taking office just last month, he's delayed full deployment of the U.S. THAAD
anti-missile defense system in his country.
Today, though, he warned of a stern response to any provocations.
MOON JAE-IN, South Korean President (through translator): The North Korean nuclear issue
must be resolved, without fail.
I also urge Pyongyang to promptly return to the negotiating table for denuclearization
of the Korean Peninsula.
President Trump and I will employ both sanctions and dialogue in a phased and comprehensive
approach.
And based on this, we both pledged to seek a fundamental resolution of the North Korean
nuclear problem.
WILLIAM BRANGHAM: Meanwhile, the U.S. has sought China's help in trying to rein in North
Korea.
However, yesterday, the administration announced sanctions against Chinese companies and individuals
over their alleged illicit dealings with North Korea.
But U.S. officials insisted they weren't targeting the Chinese government.
Today, neither President Trump nor President Moon mentioned China.
On a different subject, Mr. Trump again criticized the U.S. trade deficit with South Korea, and
blamed a 2011 free trade deal for the imbalance.
He called for new action to reduce trade barriers between the two countries.
For his part, Moon played down the trade issue.
And he announced that the president and Mrs. Trump have accepted his invitation to visit
South Korea later this year.
So, where do things stand between the U.S. and South Korea, and how will the two nations
deal with the North?
For that, we turn to Robert Gallucci.
He was the chief U.S. negotiator back in 1994 when the Clinton administration persuaded
the North Koreans to dismantle their plutonium-based nuclear program in exchange for economic benefits.
He is now a professor at Georgetown University and chair of the U.S. Korea Institute at Johns
Hopkins University.
Welcome to the "NewsHour."
ROBERT GALLUCCI, Georgetown University: Thanks very much.
WILLIAM BRANGHAM: Do you think today's meeting between Moon and Trump will help forge a clearer
plan for how to deal with North Korea?
ROBERT GALLUCCI: I think today's meeting is a success, in the sense that the United States
end and the South Koreans clearly indicated that they value the alliance very much and
the alliance is important to the security of both our countries and the stability of
Northeast Asia.
The way you framed that question, that it's going to lead to the resolution of the issue
with North Korea, is a bit of a reach from at least what I could take away from the meeting.
WILLIAM BRANGHAM: You and several other former Cabinet officials and senators wrote a letter
to the Trump administration where you urged that they take direct immediate talks with
the North Koreans, possibly send a high-ranking envoy to North Korea,.
Why do you think that's a good idea?
ROBERT GALLUCCI: For a variety of reasons.
I think that people who favor negotiations do so partly because the alternatives are
miserable.
There are fundamentally three options in dealing with North Korea, and there always have been
since the end of the Korean War.
One is to contain the North Koreans.
And we have been doing that, and we have done it for decades.
And we have been doing that actually for the eight years of the Obama administration.
I would say that was a containment or strategic patience type of policy.
The problem with containment is that it doesn't stop with North Koreans from developing assets
and capabilities and threat that we would rather they not have.
So, a second option is to negotiate and to see whether we cannot reach an agreement with
the North Koreans where they agree to give up a capability which we believe they shouldn't
have and is threatening to friends and allies.
That is what we attempted to do in 1994 with the agreed framework.
A third option is to use military force, something which we are proud always to say is on the
table, something we haven't done.
And, by that, we do not mean launching another Korean War.
We mean the use of military force in some limited way to attack the capability.
Right now, it's not only the nuclear weapons, but it's those long-range, ICBM-range ballistic
missiles.
WILLIAM BRANGHAM: In your letter, though, you're clearly arguing for point two negotiation.
And there are some people, as you well know, in the foreign policy establishment who say
you cannot negotiate with the North Koreans.
And I'm just curious how you respond to that.
ROBERT GALLUCCI: I think it's a fair thing to say that negotiations with the North Koreans
are not guaranteed to succeed.
And, certainly, through the years of the Bush administration, Bush 43, the 2000s, there
were many efforts by very capable people to negotiate with the North Koreans, and it didn't
produce very much.
And even the agreement which stuck for eight years, the agreed framework I mentioned before,
stuck for a while and stopped the plutonium program from producing nuclear weapons.
Ultimately, it collapsed as well.
So, there is reason to say that negotiations with the North Koreans are not easy, they
may not succeed, but they may be a way of getting to where we want to get to, limiting
the capability of the North Koreans to do harm to us and our allies without the use
of military force and without the risk of a major war in Northeast Asia.
WILLIAM BRANGHAM: The Chinese have floated another possible entreaty to the North Koreans,
and that's for the U.S. and the South Koreans to stop these annual military exercises.
How important is that to the North Koreans and do you think that that's a good idea?
ROBERT GALLUCCI: The North Koreans have said frequently that they are very unhappy about
the U.S.-ROK military exercises.
And I do believe they are unhappy about them.
WILLIAM BRANGHAM: You actually had some recent meetings with North Korean officials and you
heard this very same issue.
ROBERT GALLUCCI: It was the first thing on their agenda that they were most concerned
about.
What's interesting about that, of course, is that, from our perspective, the alliance
between the United States and Republic of Korea is key to both our countries' security,
and a manifestation of the strength of that alliance are those military exercises.
So that will be not high on our agenda to give up easily.
Is that something that might be on the table, along with the nuclear weapons program of
the North Koreans?
Plausibly.
But that's pretty much down the road.
I wouldn't imagine negotiations would begin there.
They would begin with talks about talks, I think, without preconditions.
WILLIAM BRANGHAM: Last night.
Do you think the Trump administration has any interest in any of the things you're taking
about?
ROBERT GALLUCCI: I don't know what the Trump administration is interested in.
There have been mentions by the secretary of state, secretary of defense and even the
president of possibly talking with the North Koreans.
I worry that, in their minds, are preconditions that will make negotiations someplace between
difficult and impossible.
WILLIAM BRANGHAM: Robert Gallucci, Georgetown University, thank you very much for being
here.
ROBERT GALLUCCI: Thank you very much.

How To Make Gum In Your Microwave — You Can Do This - Duration: 4:49.
- Today on You Can Do This Office Edition,
we're making chewing gum.
(hip hop music)
You know how you have those questionable lunches,
where it's really about value
over actually does it taste good?
And you come back, midday you get the grumbles,
maybe a little gum will help.
No one has any gum, maybe
a little bitters to settle the stomach,
but nobody has bitters in the office.
Today we're going to show you how to make chewing gum
in the microwave flavored with bitters.
We have gum base.
This sounds a little weird, but it's actually
very very easy to get.
You can Prime it to your house in two days or less
or you can buy it at some stores.
It's important to get all natural gum base.
The FDA doesn't really regulate what's called gum base
so it could be from a million different things.
This is our all natural super healthy friend, corn syrup
and here we have confectioner's sugar.
I also have this microwavable container.
If you notice, corn syrup
doesn't move at all.
How do you make it move?
Give it a little bit of heat.
Even like 30 seconds will totally do it.
You could probably get away with less.
Right now see how it's a little boiling a little bit?
That was about 20 seconds, 25 seconds
and then it becomes liquid so now it's malleable.
Now before that has time to actually set,
we're going to take our gum base.
Remember our microwavable container?
Gonna put the microwave container in.
We're gonna start at one minute.
Now with your gum base, what you want to do
is you want to give it a good solid minute
and then work in increments.
It's gonna get really gooey.
YouTube commenters, "Why don't you just go buy a pack of gum?"
'Cause it's not bitters gum, it's mint gum.
Bitters gum, it's kind of boozy.
You almost feel like you're having a cocktail.
That's so Brooklyn.
We're gonna take this out, okay.
Now we have our corn syrup, that's also about 60 grams.
We're going to fully incorporate the corn syrup
in the gum base, and this ladies and gents
is the beginning of chewing gum.
It doesn't look like it.
So this is the point we're going to add our flavorings,
and this is our bitters.
Super high proof.
Little boozy.
(upbeat music)
So we have confectioner's sugar right here, right?
75 grams, so 60, 60, 75.
That's an easy ratio to mention.
Let's take about half of this.
So pretend that this is a dough
and this sugar is going to act as bench flour.
And this is beginning when you begin to realize
what a terrible idea this all was.
We're going to start working this
and I'm going to use the spoon that we're mixing with
because as you saw it was a sticky mess.
I'm just doing it like this 'cause
you know we're in the office.
You don't want to get like unrecoverable sticky hands.
There's that, and now I'm going to
start working with just my hands.
So it's just like kneading dough.
Working this in because there's going
to be sticky parts on the inside.
So if I separate this out, there's a little bit of wetness
inside where it's still sticky,
but if you didn't notice it's starting to look like gum.
Just like childhood play dough.
Let's roll this.
It looks like a play dough snake made by a two year old
only using two fingers, but it'll work.
So now we're going to cut this
into little like gumball shapes.
It's bitters gum.
It's gonna settle your tummy.
So if you put a lot of bitters in this,
your breath could smell a little boozy
and it'll be really hard to explain to your boss
like why does your breath smell?
I'm chewing artisanal homemade office
bitters gum in the microwave.
Let's have a little fun with it you know?
Like maybe you want to make a little tray
for a party or just for yourself,
so on your desk so you can be
the guy with the artisanal gum.
I don't know if you want to be that guy,
but here we go.
We've got little pieces of wax paper.
All you're gonna do is take it, roll it,
and just like after work activities
always keep your roll tight.
You know what's up.
So you do a little roll here,
take some scissors at the end, at the end,
and look it's festive!
And there you have it, gum that you made in your microwave.
Calm your tummy after questionable food
that you got for four dollars or less, solved.
I am kind of a doctor as well.
(hip hop music)
For more things you can make in a microwave
or open flames, or using power tools, click here.
What do you reheat that always gets killed in the microwave?
Pizza, day old pizza.
Now I know some of you are like, "I love cold pizza!"
and you know we always get...
