Winter Child Car Seat Mistake to Avoid! - Duration: 0:58.

So when you buckle up your kid

in their car seat this winter,

are they wearing that big, warm, puffy coat?

If the answer is yes,

you could be putting your child's life at risk.

Why?

If you get in a car accident

and they're in that big, puffy coat,

those straps may look snug,

but they're much looser than they appear

due to that really puffy jacket.

It creates that gap between the safety strap

and your child's body,

so if an accident does occur,

that jacket obviously will compress,

leaving a lot of space for your child's body to move around

underneath those straps, even be ejected from that seat.

So what a lot of authorities say

is actually take the jacket off before you buckle them in

so they can get buckled in appropriately to the seat,

and then if it's in the middle of winter and it's cold,

you can still take their jacket

and obviously drape it over them

to keep them nice and warm.

car idles rough refers to when an automobiles engine runs too slowly or it

runs erratically while disconnected from a load or out of gear this video details

the probable causes and corrections needed to fix a car that idles rough

these service procedures also pertain to vehicles that idle rough can stall car

idles rough number one carbon buildup on throttle plate if there is excessive

carbon buildup or dirt and grime on the throttle plate the plate will not return

to its correct position fast enough and it will cause an air to fuel ratio

imbalance when there's an imbalance to the air fuel ratio the automobile will

attempt to stall an idle rough this symptom often occurs when a vehicle is

coming to a stop or braking hard to fix this you will need to remove the

throttle body assembly and de-carbon it number 2 intake manifold vacuum leak to

fix this you'll need to inspect the vacuum hoses and intake manifold gasket

you should check for broken cracked or disconnected vacuum lines number 3

faulty coil to fix this you will need to replace the bad coil pack however you

should test the coil before replacing it and that means you will need to remove

the coil pack from the engine and use a meter to test it number 4 broken worn or

incorrectly gapped spark plugs to fix this inspect each spark plug and check

for a broken insulator worn electrode and make sure the plug is gapped to

factory specifications number 5 spark plug cables crossed or defective to fix

this make sure the spark plug cables are

arranged in the correct firing order and replaced any damaged cable

number six engine idle speed too low to fix this you will need to check the idle

air control valve a bad idle air control valve can cause a car to idle high idle

low and it can also cause it to stall number seven air filter clogged to fix

this clean or replace the air filter number eight leaking head gasket most

likely your car isn't running rough because of a blown head gasket but if

you suspect the gasket is blown you will need to perform a leak down test or use

a hydrocarbon sniffer to verify it number nine

worn or burn distributor rotor number 10 camshaft lobe worn for reference you

should not suspect worn lobes unless you have a high mileage car to know whether

or not you have worn lobes you will need to remove the valve cover and measure

how far the valve stem depresses into the head as the valve opens and compare

that to factory specification wear limits number eleven malfunction in the

engine control system or a fuel injection system number twelve timing

chain or sprockets worn and that's it these are the most probable causes and

Wassup, camera?

This is the story of the time I went through a slime carwash

at the Kids Choice Awards, 2015.

I was sitting in the audience, kind of just watching the show.

And then they announced the big live vote

that everybody at home was doing to decide

who was going to get slimed.

And all of a sudden, I see Benji and Nick Jonas next to me.

And they're like, the cast that's going to get slimed

is The Thundermans!

We were like, what? Wait, what?

Who? What?

Where? What?

Now? What?

Us? Slime?

Where? There?

Why? What?

Next thing I know, people are grabbing me

and like, bringing us up to stage.

Then they go, Kira, Jeff! Go there.

And Addison and Diego!

And then we're just sitting in the car, waiting for the show

to get to the part with us.

And we're in the middle of a conversation.

And I look up, and Nick Jonas goes,

are you ready to get slimed?

And I think my exact response was, ha-za-za.

Because the answer was no, but also I was on live television.

And so you have to say yes.

So I did.

And we went through the slime carwash, forward first.

And I was like, ah, OK, I got slimed, woo-hoo.

And I took off the goggles they gave me.

Nobody told me that the carwash was going to then reverse.

So then we go backwards through the carwash,

and my goggles are off.

And I've got, like, fake eyelashes in my eyes.

I had like, this updo going crazy.

I was wearing this neoprene skirt.

And the slime was just soaking into things.

And they get us out of the car, and I start to walk offstage

and there was these two rows of photographers.

And they were like, Kira, can we get an interview?

And I'm like, no!

I need to get in the shower.

And I'm standing there.

And Joe Jonas walks by.

And I'm like, hey.

He's like, hey.

Finally did get into the shower, which was good.

It was not hot, per se.

But we made it work.

It was this very interesting dance

of like, one hand on the button, keeping it running,

and the other trying to work slime out of my updo.

Because it doesn't come off.

It's not a passive experience.

But I got to get slimed at the Kids Choice Awards.

So all is-- all's well that ends slimy.

Fixing Your Car With A Gun - Duration: 2:53.

it's time for the scotty kilmer channel.

today im going to show you how you can fix your car with a gun.

but no im not talking about using your 44 and putting an end to your car because your

sick of fixing it.

im talking about using this.

a temperature sensing gun to figure out whats wrong with your car.

ive been using temperature sensing guns for decades to fix cars but a long time ago they

cost of over nine hundred bucks for a good one.

but today ones like this Dr. meter, it only costs twenty nine bucks and it works really

well.

With that said dont go too cheap, this kingstop one was fourteen dollars and ninty nine cents

on amazon and it didn't work as good, you're better off buying the twenty nine dollar one.

its got a great colored read out, bold letters, and it even came with this quick draw holster

(laughing).

Now the uses of these guns are pretty much only limited by your imagination.

Maybe your car is overheating, you can check for hot spots using the gauge.

maybe you think the thermostat's sticking, well take the temperature before and after

the thermostat.

That way you dont have to take anything apart, its a non-contact thermometer.

Maybe your AC isnt running right, well you can check for a clogged condenser, take temperature

readings and if some parts are hot and some are cold, you know it's clogged up inside.

maybe you think you have a bad catalytic converter, well you can take the temperature of the front

and take the temperature at the back it should be much hotter at the back, and if it isnt,

the cats bad.

Maybe your brakes are dragging somewhere, well you can stick the gun in the little holes

and you can take the temperature of the rotors.

And if you find after a hard drive and you come back and take the temperature one side's

much hotter than the other, you know the hot side is dragging.

You can even use it to find electrical shorts.

If you find that one wire is hotter than the other wire, you'll know that wire has a short

somewhere its draining to much power.

of course you can use it to entertain your cat, they love chasing after the little dots.

You can also use it to find misfiring engines by measuring the exhaust manifold temperature

for each cylinder, the misfiring cylinders wont be burning all the gas so they'll run

cooler than the other ones, and you can figure that out. and just out of curiosity, how hot

does it get in the back of a car in the sun, over one hundred and eighty three degrees,

no wonder i burned my hands when i pull it back in the driveway in the afternoon!

So the next time your car breaks down, why not fix it with a gun!

How To Prevent Paint Oxidation - Chemical Guys Car Care - Duration: 6:29.

We are so glad you guys could join us back here in the Detail Garage.

Today, we've got this awesome Mustang in the shop.

It has this beautiful red color and we are going to enhance that.

Our buddy, who is a professional athlete, detailed his car over the weekend and brought it in

here because he wants us to give it the last touch.

We are going to start by cleaning off any light dust it picked up and then we are going

to wax it.

We have Synthetic Quick Detail Spray to remove any dirt

and debris while leaving behind an anti-static barrier which keeps the car cleaner for longer.

All you have to do is spray it directly on the surface and give it a moment to emulsify

the debris so we won't scratch it.

Using a fresh El Gordo Towel, tear off the tag so we won't install imperfections.

The soft plush pile of the towel picks up all the product without streaking and this

stitched edge prevents harming the paint.

Working in straight lines no circles because we want to avoid swirling the paint.

I'm also rolling the towel so I'm not grinding the dirt into the paintwork and you can see

it is pulling off all that filth.

We are getting this car nice and clean so we can prepare it for wax.

As you can see Synthetic Quick Detail Spray takes off anything from the surface without scratching.

It has enhanced the red glow and you can also use this on the glass making Synthetic Quick

Detail great for all surfaces such as paint, glass, engines

and wheels.

As you notice, I'm using the quick detail spray all over the paint and the glass which

safely removed the dust.

As I mentioned you can use it on your wheels.

Same thing, spray it on the surface, give it a moment and I'll use the El Gordo again.

I'm done with the vehicle and it is dirty so to wrap up the detail I'll use it on the

wheels because the wheels are always the dirtiest area.

So lets finish this up and move to the wax.

Now we're done wiping down the Mustang without harming the finish.

Now we're going to move on to the waxing process.

The owner already applied his favorite glaze so we aren't going to clay or polish but we

still want to add shine, depth and protection.

I have a TORQ X ready to go, this is a small machine that is great for polishing and waxing jobs.

This is a Red Ultra Fine Application Pad, its super soft composition won't cut but rather

applies a thin coat of product.

Our new Cherry Wet Wax magnifies metallic flake which enriching the red glow.

It's really easy to apply by hand or machine, but using a machine saves time and effort

while also saving product because the machine will spread a very fine coat that has less

waste and is easier to buff off.

Taking it over to the vehicle and dab it out on the paint.

On the lowest speed setting we will spread it out.

I've waited a little over twenty minutes for Cherry Wet Wax to bond.

You can see that the thin coat comes off nice and easily without streaking or smearing.

So to recap, we started off by using Synthetic Quick Detail Spray to emulsify anything that

was on the surface without scratching which left behind an anti-static barrier so nothing

clings to the surface.

Moving on to Cherry Wet Wax gave a carnauba shine with durable protection.
