The Zilu ships in two pieces.

You're going to have the cradle which actually holds your smartphone, and then you're going

to have the arm.

The arm you're either going to attach to your dashboard and then it will extend up

to connect and attach to your cradle, or you're going to install it on your windshield and

then the arm will extend down and attach to the cradle.

We already know that it works for those activities.

Instead we're going to look at how the Zilu car mount holds up when attempting to turn

your phone into a dashcam or vlogging camera while driving.

On the back of the cradle you're going to notice a button, and what this button does

is when you press it, it is going to extend the gripping wings.

So basically it is going to adjust the cradle so that it can fit your smartphone.

One you have your phone in there, you simply take your hands and you manually squeeze the

gripping wings so that you'll have a perfect snug fit for your phone.

So here is a closer look at the Zilu after it is installed and holding a smartphone.

Now as we're driving around, the phone is secure but you can tell that it is doing a

lot of shaking.

In fact there was not a time that it wasn't shaking except for when we were stationary.

So I kind of thought that maybe this was happening because we have a Case-Mate case on the phone,

so we eventually took it off and just put the iPhone 6 Plus up there itself, but the

phone was still shaking every time we drove around.

So with that being said, I feel like the better use of this is if you install it on the dashboard

so that it is upright.

So that it is vertical, and the reason I say that is because if it's on the windshield,

and the arm is extending down, the way the gripping wings are positioned, it's not

positioned in the center of your phone so the weight of your phone is not being evenly

distributed; therefore, it is going to shake.

So if you want to use this mount for dashcam or vlogging purposes, just know that there

will be camera shake and you might have to stabilize your footage in post production.

bring this is Greg for Tesla fan inside my talk today focuses on the SUV issues

related to electric vehicles

module two here's the station lk x then this is greg for tesla fan insight and i

had a sort of an interesting thing pop up which was i've been served casually

serving people about their plans for electric vehicles and what the interests

might be and have a surprising thing popped up i I asked one potential Tesla

or DV customer from Oregon about what their plans were or interest when it

came to purchasing a an easier electric vehicle and what was surprising to me is

that they pointed out that they thought that these the Chevy solution was

actually too big a vehicle for them to want to deal with so I was really kind

of surprised by this because in regular to vehicles right now the rebel vehicles

meaning ice engine nitro from just bustin vehicles the logic right now is

because of the increasing value of real estate people can't afford to have four

and five car garages anymore and are being forced to have one vehicle that

does more so one iteration of this might be a Porsche Panamera or some of the

other you know sort of solutions mostly in a CD space one dealership on rskopek

indicated at fifty nine percent of the vehicles sold under every car line now

are SUVs so my expectation was that particularly as the model Y arrives it

would really hurt sales and things like the model three the model past

because people have a lot more functionality because SUV the SUV

solution though does present issues and this customer in particular just didn't

like the size and amount of vehicle they have to deal with when even though it's

a small SUV in the form of the Chevy Volt so I thought this was fascinating

also because on one hand you have more space to deal with all kinds of issues

that you might have but on the other the fact that you don't have that extra

metal and extra space means better aerodynamics on the road you have less

weight so less weight means you actually get longer distances with your vehicle

with you know without having to recharge so I just thought it was fascinating to

hear a counterintuitive reason why I had thought that Tesla's best choice would

have been to do some kind of small SUV or effectively an SUV as a solution but

there is real demand for a car particularly if that doesn't damage you

know range that you might have as you are trying to execute life as an owner

of an electric vehicle so you know I was kind of surprised by this because I

thought everybody would be SUV inclined I have to admit I'm six-three and I've

had a chance to drive the Model X and particularly with somewhat of a bad back

it's an amazing experience to go to the vehicle and have the suspension lift the

vehicle up so one can get in comfortably and have a car drop back down and not

have to sort of duck down or do other moves to get in the vehicle so I would

say that I'm at a difference of opinion I think that the SUV is a great

iteration of the Eevee's because it does you space to carry things I can forth

the Home Depot gives you better clearance better visibility on the roads

Olivia's are the features but it does have more size it does because of the

heavier weight you know put more wear on everything including tired some drinks

etcetera and I just thought that was you know really fascinating I think Tessa

has to worry about anything didn't analyze right now because meeting the

first format that when customer needs is going to take some time but beyond that

they do have the model y planned after they start delivering truck solutions in

a couple of years and surprisingly it seems like that a lot of people will be

happy to accept a Tesla in a car sitting rather than just you know demanding that

they can have an SUV I also think Tessa does a good job of making up for some

SUV shortcomings with the arrival of things like the air raisa special

tension and the four-wheel drive capabilities that will be available in

early 2018 for new buyers you know minor point but

How to Prevent Tire Dry Rot - 1954 Buick Special - Chemical Guys Car Care - Duration: 3:18.

Welcome back to the Detail Garage.

So we've still got this 1954 Buick Special in the shop and we're getting ready to put

the last touches on it.

To start off we foamed it, clayed it, polished it and we also put Carbon Flex C9 on it to

protect this finish and give it that deep glossy black look.

As a last touch we're going to hit all the tires and apply a rich tire dressing on it.

It's going to give it that black shine that is going to make it really pop against the

paintwork.

To start off I've already cleaned off any old tire dressings and road grime using our

Orange Degreaser.

Now I'm going to tape off half of this tire to show you guys the 50/50 of what it looks

like against a non dressed side.

To dress the tires I'm going to use our Black On Black, this is an aerosol dressing that

is going to give it a deeper shine that will be dry to the touch but the most important

thing is it is going to give it UV protection which resists fading, cracking and discoloring.

All you need to do is shake it up.

Since it's an aerosol just spray it directly on the surface.

Already you can see it is a really wet shine, it is an oil base so of course it is going

to be glossy.

If you don't like that high glossy shine you can always come back with a clean microfiber

towel and buff off any excess.

You can get this on the paintwork or areas around the wheel it buffs right off and you

can always reapply as you need to the rest of the tire.

So we're going to let this dry and while that is happening we'll start working in the rest

of the wheels.

I've let the Black On Black cure for about ten minutes, I've got a clean microfiber towel

to buff off the excess.

I just want to mention that I'm using a black microfiber towel and that is because I'm only

going to use them on the really filthy areas like the wheels or exhaust just things that

get really nasty and you wouldn't want to use that towel on your paintwork or interior.

We'll buff off the excess to unveil that more natural matte sheen but it still has a deep

glossy finish.

You can see it is a huge difference between the dressed and protected side against the

non dressed side that has a dull finish.

You can use Black On Black on any rubber pieces or plastic pieces to give it protection and shine.

Tesla's First Mass-Market Car, the Model 3, Hits Production This Week

Tesla Motors' first mass-market car, the Model 3, will begin rolling off the line on Friday, two weeks earlier than planned, Elon Musk, the company's chief executive, said late Sunday.

Mr Musk said on Twitter that production would increase quickly, with 100 Model 3s produced in August and 1,500 or more in September. He said that he expected the company to be able to produce 20,000 per month beginning in December.

The Model 3 is a critical test for Mr Musk and his ambitious plan to turn Tesla into a producer of mass-market electric cars.

Until now, the company has produced luxury cars in relatively small numbers, typically selling them for $90,000 or more. In 2016, it made about 85,000 vehicles. General Motors, by contrast, produced more than nine million cars and light trucks.
