What is an ecocity? - Duration: 1:32.

There's enough evidence now to show that we're not living sustainably.

We're now living in the urban age.

Ecocities are cities that are taking decisive and

creative action to meet the great economic, social and ecological

challenges of our time.

This is not a slow aspiration we're in crisis we're in

a planetary crisis and we need to move quickly towards a more sustainable form

of urbanisation.

We can't solve this problem one light bulb at a time

the creation of eco cities, of safe climate cities, resilient cities

Zero Carbon cities,

that's going to require really strong and courageous leadership

by governments and by working in close partnership with households and

communities and businesses

The challenge is urgent particularly for those cities on the front line of

climate change

The ecocity- this is not a misty-eyed ideal, this is something real, something

concrete. The ecocity summit is about generating answers and accumulating

wisdom to address these challenges facing our world in 2017 and beyond.

Yeah.

That hurt.

Focus.

You've got nothing to cry about.

You're not dead.

Take the pain, girl.

Take the pain.

I think she's done, but I'm not Ricky.

I'm most certainly not Chloe.

I'm not going to just surround her in unicorn farts and sugar

An Introduction to Writer Wednesdays - Duration: 2:22.

Hello Patron, and welcome to the new and improved Writer Wednesday series!

You're seeing this because you have generously chosen to support my Patreon for

five dollars or more per month—which, thank you, by the way.

In these Writer Wednesday videos, I want to give you my best advice and tips as a writer

AND an indie author—which sounds like the same thing, but really it's not.

I do definitely want to talk about craft here, meaning the skills and techniques of

building a story.

I'm hardly the greatest at that, but I am happy to share what I do know.

But probably more importantly, I want to advise you on the business side of being an indie author.

And that is where I really want to provide the most value for you that I can.

Being frank here—I'm pretty good at what I do.

I sell a lot of books.

I'm able to do it full time.

I support my family with my writing—and my wife even works for me, she doesn't have to have

a "real" job.

So that's what I really want to share with you.

Not only do I want to give you general tips and advice on how to get started, and all that,

but I want to address the specific problems YOU are facing as an indie author.

So now there's two things I need to tell you in order for this to be as awesome for

you as it can possibly be.

First of all, in the message where I shared this video with you, there is a list of existing

Writer Wednesday videos.

Now, you should know that the first eight videos in that list are my OLD Writer Wednesday videos.

They were publicly posted before Writer Wednesdays was what it is right now.

So they're probably not going to be as useful to you as the rest of the series, but I didn't

want to leave them out, because they ARE Writer Wednesday videos and you ARE paying for the

whole package.

Future new videos will be sent to you in special Patreon posts that only you get to see.

And they will keep coming as long as you are a Patron.

Obviously, this probably doesn't need to be said, but please do not share those videos with other people.

They are only for patrons.

Now, the second thing, and this is much more important.

Writer Wednesday is not a course.

I don't like the amount of courses in the indie author space.

Most of them are bullshit anyway, and I don't want to add to that pile.

This is a mentorship.

I want to address what YOU are struggling with as an indie author.

So please, in the comments of this video or any other Writer Wednesday video,

or a private message, email, whatever you want, I want you to tell me what YOUR problems are

in your writing career.

THAT is what the Writer Wednesday videos are going to be—me answering YOUR questions

and giving you MY advice on YOUR situation.

I am really excited to be doing this with you.

I hope that you are going to enjoy it and find it valuable.

And I am going to work very, very hard to make sure that you do.

Thank you so much for your support that makes the Writer Wednesday series possible, and

I will see you next Wednesday.

Byyye!

Why is the rapture such an important topic? - Duration: 3:25.

Alright, Ed, let's review what we've talked about today.

Why is this topic about the rapture so important?

Hindson: Because it's the one topic that gives hope and comfort to the believer.

The three of us have studied this, researched it, debated it, discussed it, and wrestled

through these things for nearly 40 years or more each.

We are convinced this is what the Bible teaches.

When Paul said, "therefore comfort one another with these words," there has to be a word

of comfort, of encouragement for the believer, because he believes Jesus could come potentially

at any time.

I was sitting in a church where a friend of mine did not believe in a pre-tribulational

rapture.

He preached his whole sermon and said, "So, you see, there never will be rapture."

Which he knows is not true; there has to be one, he just puts it at a different point

in time.

And when he ended it he said, "We have nothing to look forward to but trouble, trouble and

more trouble."

And the people in his own church moaned right out loud.

I was tempted to stand up in the back and shout, "Wherefore comfort one another with

those words."

But I didn't.

But I talked to him afterwards and I said, "Wilson, you know there has to be a rapture;

you and I simply disagree on where to put it.

But my view is the word of comfort and encouragement."

Ankerberg: What else, Mark?

Hitchcock: Well, the rapture is a very motivating hope for us.

It gives us strength.

At the end of talking about the rapture in 1 Corinthians, the apostle Paul says, "Therefore,

be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing your labor

is not in vain."

So it's a motivating hope, it gives us an incentive to live and to labor for the Lord.

And it's also a purifying hope.

In 1 John 3 the Lord tells us, "Everyone who fixes his hope on him purifies himself

even as he himself is pure."

You can't live your life and believe that Jesus could come back at any moment and be

living a life that's sinful and that's against God's will.

Those two are incompatible.

It's a hope that purifies us in our life and calls us higher in our living for the

Lord.

And so, when people say that, you know, this doctrine of the rapture, you know, it's

just kind of pie in the sky, it's just kind of something that's future, it doesn't

relate to everyday life, almost every place in the Bible where you have a statement of

the Lord's coming there's practical application of how we live in the here and now.

Ankerberg: Yeah, I was thinking about James.

He says, you know, don't even grumble because the judge is standing right at the door.

He's ready to come.

Ron, what else?

Rhodes: The apostle Paul said that he didn't want the Thessalonians to be ignorant about

those who are asleep in Christ.

It's not okay to be ignorant about the rapture.

And the way not to be ignorant is to understand the word of God.

And the way to understand the word of God is to take the words as they were intended

to be taken, with a literal approach, just as we interpret those first coming prophecies

literally, so we interpret the rapture passages and all the other end time passages quite

literally.

Now, the thing that means a lot to me is the fact that we're going to have a reunion.

I was with my Momma when she died, and I was holding her hand when she passed into eternity.

But I knew that that was not the last time I would hug her.

I knew that that was not the last time I would hear her voice.

I knew that that was not the last time that I would be with her.

We've got a reunion coming, and I tell you what, that puts spiritual wind in my sails.

TANK GRAVEYARD: Inside an Abandoned Tank! - Urbex Military Vehicles Lost Places Germany - Duration: 7:23.

Meanwhile it's the tenth and final day

of our big urbex road trip that we made in February.

After several explorations in Luxembourg, France and Belgium

we're finally back in Germany where we spent the night on a tank graveyard.

This former military training area is now a habitat for endangered flora and fauna.

Until some years ago soldiers learned here how to capture these steel monstrosities.

Today nature is retaking control of the abandoned tanks.

Far to the west of Germany there's this huge site of around 220 hectares.

Most of this area has been used as a military training ground of the German armed forces.

But today it's a nature reserve.

It was opened for the public and you can meet a lot of people out on a walk with their dogs here now.

"Practice track"

"It's only allowed to use this track for training purposes"

Tracks and indentations in the ground

are silent witnesses of the military drills that used to take place in the whole forest.

By now a lot of different animals have resettled here.

"Do not enter when the red flag is hoisted"

The whole area was part of Adolf Hitler's Siegfried Line

which was built between 1936 and 1940.

It was a huge defensive system

featuring more than 18.000 tunnels, bunkers and tank traps.

After the war most of these constructions were demolished

but you can still find some remnants from that period

overgrown and covered in moss.

However, these tanks don't have any exciting history.

They weren't used in the war at all.

These colossuses were targets for the German Bundeswehr used in exercises.

We found five tanks in total distributed all over the area.

We're no tank experts

but it seems like three of them were so-called Kampfpanzer of the type M 47 Patton.

One right at the trail

one in the woods

and one is completely overgrown.

Another one is a M 41 Walker Bulldog that seems to sink in the pond.

Last but not least there's a Schützenpanzer Lang HS.30 right next to a wall.

To be honest: These war machines form a disturbing contrast to the surrounding peaceful nature.

Tanks like these always brought devastation.

But these tanks in particular don't appear very terrifying any more.

They're home for plants and animals now.

and it's amazing to see what can grow from something so bad.

Thanks for watching the final episode of our most epic urbex road trip yet!

During ten days of traveling we had many thrilling adventures

explored awesome abandoned places in different countries

and even made friends with new people.

All in all it was an intense experience that we wouldn't miss for the world.

Thanks to all the new subscribers that we gained over the last few months

and thanks to all the viewers who have been watching our videos since the beginning.

We really appreciate your support!

We have only come this far because of you guys.

Right now we're planning some projects for which you should get ready.

This stuff will be amazing!

And don't forget

The next adventure is just right around the corner!

We're taking a summer break now which means that there won't be regular content in the next few months.

However, we're planning to release at least some episodes in that time, so you should stay tuned for that.

In the meantime check out some other videos on our channel.

See you next time!

MRBEAST IS AN ALIEN?! #StickerAlert Christian Burns, Charlie Green - Duration: 3:41.

What is up, Sticker Alert nation?

I'm your host, Killer KeemSticker.

Let's get right into the news!

Our first story is pretty god damn cancerous, I'm sure most of you know who this dude

is.

Ya boy, Christian Burns, was captured on camera being a little cunt-faced faggot at Vidcon,

telling the security guard to kill himself, and all sorts of retarded shit.

"You're not famous, kill yourself."

Um, hate to break it to you Christian, but neither are you.

In fact, thanks to this whole ordeal, that security guard is now more famous than you

are, so nice job dude.

Our next story, and this is a pretty big deal.

KidBehindACamera, he's the dude behind the whole Angry Grandpa thing.

Well apparently, his brother Charlie, was drugged out of his mind and went total ape

shit, destroying things, threatening people.

Shit's crazy man.

Stay in school, don't do drugs.

Our final story for this week's episode, this is a huge story, this is probably the

reason you clicked on the video.

We may have found evidence that MrBeast is actually some sort of alien!

Now I know what you must be thinking.

"MrBeast isn't an alien, you fucking dumbass!"

Well now wait a minute.

Before you get salty as hell for no good reason, just hear me out.

I have spent countless hours scouring the internet, collecting a huge stash of irrefutable

evidence to support my case.

Well, not exactly, but I have a video clip that I'd like to show.

So let's go ahead and get into it.

This is from his video "The Most Searched Things on Google" and, well just watch.

So obviously, no real human being laughs like that.

MrBeast, you can stop pretending now, we've just uncovered your secret.

Well anyway, that is going to do it for this week's episode.

If you love Sticker Alert, make sure you slap a like on it.

You wanna go ask her? You need her permission?

Why, though? Why-why join the militia?

I don't know. Maybe, uh...

I feel bad about what I've done.

You ever feel that way about anything.

You know, you do something and people die,

and then things get worse.

You should leave before worse things happen.

Yeah.

How to make an inexpensive low-pressure aeroponic system - Version 2 - Full Video - Duration: 25:14.

Hi this is Peter Stanley

I'm going to make a new

low pressure aeroponics system

I made one last year and

It worked really well but there's some improvements I can make

One, I think I over complicated it

also I didn't have much of a reservoir

so I was running out of nutrients and I didn't have an easy way to change the nutrients

and everything I did kind of disturbed the roots so

I'm going to switch to a two bucket system

so the plant will go in the lid

and

I'll drill a center hole

basically the

main bucket's going to have holes drilled around it and in the bottom

there'll be a center hole

in the very bottom

that the submersible pump will attach through

and the spray manifold will connect

to that from the inside

and then this will

sink down inside the outer bucket

which will have the nutrient solution that'll come up through the holes

and so

everything will be self contained in the top bucket so I won't have to mess with the roots

and if I want to change the nutrients I just lift it out

and put it in another bucket that has fresh nutrients

so

I've cut

the parts that I need and I'll put the

these in the description

this is a 396 gallon per hour submersible pump

and

probably overkill for this maybe but

they're relatively cheap, I think this one's like

22.00 but I found another

brand that looks identical, I think it was Apollo Horticulture

for like 10.00

I'll put links in the description

I'm using 1/2 inch PVC

and this is a 1/2 inch threaded adapter

that screws in

and

it fits a 1/2 inch

pipe on the other side

and I don't remember what it's called exactly but I'll put that in the description

I've got a tiny piece of

1/2 inch wedged in here, I can't get it out

so basically

two 1/2 inch couplers

two caps

two 3 inch pieces

three

7/8 inch one 1 inch pieces

t-adapter

and two

there not elbows but they're kind of like

I don't know if it's 45 degree but it's like

looks like either 30 or 45 degree

so I'll kind of dry fit these together

I'm going to cement the part

that attaches

in here so they won't come off

but the rest will just be dry fitted

and also

for drilling the holes in the bucket I'm using an 11/16 inch

and a 1/4 inch

and in the previous design I

I did a

I used a tap

to thread these in with

and

I found that you, well I saw this on

a site selling these

11/64 inch drill bit

is, drill that and

these will kind of just wedge in there

and they're not going to come out

so that's another step that simplifies

and I'll show you what

I can't think of that

brad point, that's the type of drill bit

I've got a set of these, but

you could buy just one

so it's a 11/64 inch brad point bit

and I'm going to show

how to do that but I'm going to

go ahead and drill all these

come back, that way it'll save some time

showing you this

and

let me go ahead and dry fit it together

so this would be

coupler

coming from the bottom

the 1 inch piece

these are the parts that are going to cement together

this is going to go through the hole of the bucket

in the bottom

this would go on the other side

wedged down and

the spray manifold will build on top of that

so I'll put

a little piece there

tee adapter

there

3 inch pieces on the ends

so

this will be

inside the bucket

I need to push these a little tighter

it does fit once it's put together right

so I'm going to drill

a hole here

here and here

I don't know. I'll decide when I'm drilling. I think I'm going to put

three, maybe four that'll be pointing up

and I might put

some on the corners pointing down for when the roots grow down

but the more nozzles you put, the less pressure

you have, that's my only concern. But this should be ok

these will be

pointing out like that

here and here, maybe at the center

there and possibly

some on the corners

so anyway, I'll drill these and come back to that

and

what I'm going to do now is

go ahead and drill holes in my bucket

so I want to do a

hole in the very bottom for my

pump and I don't

have the exact

bit, to make a perfect hole for the half inch

pvc, I need a

bit a little bit larger but

I'm going to just use what I've got, and I'm going to take a knife and open it up.

basically I need a hole just big enough for that to fit through

nice tight fit

so this will go on the bottom of that

actually

it'll be this piece

bottom of that

that'll be like that

and then

this would connect

in there, but I need to

put those together to actually

make that work, but

yeah, so that should work

so I've got that

I'm going to go ahead and

also, I need to figure out

how far to drill my holes

let's see

I'll have to have this going through the

center bucket as well

I need to figure that out

let's see

so that's going to go

that far down

so I don't want to drill any holes on the inside that

past here

okay

get that out of the way

alright so I'm going ahead and

drill some holes

going to start with drilling a bunch of big holes

and then I'll go in

do a few smaller holes

see how it looks

I'll take my razor and

trim out all these little pieces too

and also gonna

cut a hole for the

pump cord to come back through

so all of it can stay togehter

and I probably could just

drill a few more holes

to the side and cut them out to make a big enough

hole for the cord to go through

there

probably need to be

on the edge

so that fits in there

so that'll be coming back up

out of the top

that way everything can stay contained within this internal bucket

also

I gonna use a

3 inch net pot

in the lid

so I'll go ahead and drill a

3 inch hole

and I'm also gonna put

a couple 1/4 inch holes

around

so I can zip tie

the basket in there really well

basically what I did

was cut a

roughly mark so I know

where to drill

1/4 inch holes so it'll be outside

this hole

on these

I like to start it slowly

in the forward position and then switch it to reverse

and

this really soft plastic it'll cut through it okay

a lot of times, it seems like it does a cleaner cut

in plastic, I know it's not proper and all

that's how I do it, it seems to work

I learned that watching

I believe it was Khang Starr

and now switch it into reverse

the three inch net put I'll put in there and I'll zip tie it

really tight so the plant won't fall out

I guess one thing I can do

glue my

piece in here

glue it into one of these

put it in here

and

so basically

wedge these together

put through here

so one of these I can go ahead

glue it in

I hope this stuff's still good

you get this as a

when you buy these it always comes together

but it's

one's the primer

and the other is a cement

see

primer and this stuff might not even

be good it's been so long

since I've used it

I probably need to wear gloves too

primer on like that

definitely need to wash my hands

so these are the coated parts where the cement's going to go

this is going to wedge into

this stuff's still good

that in there

so this one wedge that in like that

probably using way too much of that stuff too, I'm not really a

I hardly ever use this stuff

so now I've got

point to put the pump to

and this side will have the spray manifold

okay so what I'm gonna do is

clean up my mess, wash my hands

clean all this stuff

and

install my spray nozzles

and I'll show how I do these

and

get the

get everything ready to do and we'll wrap this up

see

force that in there

and that's not coming out

very easily

it's in there good

okay so I got this cleaned up and

here's the pump

and I need to

put some moisture on these

I noticed this is a little rocky so

I put the suction cups back on

and this is just a

coff lid

kind of stabilize it

and I think it'll stay on there, I just don't have a

I need to wet it

so that's how that, this looks and

I decided to only go with three

sprayers, I don't have any underneath, just three total

so that should

work fine

here's the three inch net pot

and a hole for the power cord

so this would actually

be on here

and the power cord

come through that

so anyway, that's that and

I'm not gonna put the lid on just yet, I want to do a spray ttest

with some water

just to see how that works, I'll show you that

this hydroton or clay pebbles

it's good to

pre wash this which is already

been washed

alright

this is ready to

put under the light now

plug up

alright so

got this all setup

only thing

I'm a little bit worried about

is with the extra height of the bucket

I don't have quite as much head room

got this up

as high as Ican

but

I'm just going to have to figure that out

got a little

fan going

timer for the lights

and I've also got a minute timer

that should run

on five minutes and off five minutes and just cycle back and forth

and the fan is also plugged into that so that'll

coincide with the pump

I've this kind of pump

non stop

and didn't have any problems with it but

I just want to see how it does

so far

it seems to be doing okay

okay so it's been about 2 1/2 months since I

started this and

see how much it has grown

leaves starting to

curl a little bit, it was up

a lot closer to my

my light so I moved it down

here a little bit

I think it was getting too much heat ut

it's got a nice

canopy on it, the

it's got some flowers, I don't think there are any pods just yet

I moved it out of the grow tent

it seemed like it was

wasn't growing quite as fast I think it was

would've actually been a lot

bigger if I put it under this light to begin with

can here it's running now'

I'm gonna

probably plug this up on the porch

for a day or two, let it run outside, see how it does

I think it'll fruit really well if I do that

anyway, let me

unplug this, we'll pull it up and take a look at the roots and everything

it's already grown down

here

I don't wanna pull this out too much, the roots are

kinda wrapped around the

spray down down there

okay so

I think it's =

system is working really well

one thing I did notice

when I was messing around

plant

there's not any support there

and that's not a flaw of the

design as far \as

growing but I need to incorporate supports in this somehow

so I've gotta work on that, I might tape some

pvc

going up around the bucket

I'll figure something out, but it needs that before

or it's gonna fall over

but I'll address that

but anyway, thank you for following this project and

I'll post updates

grow updates

I've shown it off and on but this is

first time I actually put the whole video up

so

I'll keep posting updates throughout the season

and how it does

I think it's going to

take off a lot more when it goes outsdie

but

Yeah anyway, hope you liked that

and thank you for watching

please like, comment and subscribe

The Casual Tap Gets An Upgrade | Bar Rescue (Season 5) - Duration: 2:08.

upped our management game.

Our cocktail training upped our cocktail game.

Now it's time for Steve to see what his bar's gonna be

when it reopens.

Here's your bar.

I gotta start with creating a new look in the front.

So I'm introducing a whole new color treatment

to the awning that you have.

I'm branding the front of that awning.

I got a whole new sign package coming in above the awning

and on the side of the building.

You wanted signage, you got frickin' signage, buddy.

This building is gonna pop, and I wanted to take

some of your personal identity and put it into the logo.

So when you look at the logo it'll mean something to you.

Now when you walk into the bar,

you're gonna see a whole new back bar design treatment

that's killer, using all different textures and woods

to create a whole textured design.

So I gotta build you two complete workstations behind the bar.

Speed well, soda guns, everything.

Gonna love that.

Two POS systems behind the bar.

Every bartender stays put.

Steve, no more running back and forth to make drinks.

They're gonna love that.

I gotta four tap draft beer system coming in right here.

Four of them.

So we have four taps of 38-degree perfect draft beer.

You can now do beer promotions,

which are really tough to do in bottles.

All the technology you need to succeed,

and I even got you a high tech electronic DJ system

that'll deliver the right music.

This bar's gotta be warm, cozy, intimate,

the kinda place we hang for three, four hours.

- Exactly. - That's what we're building for you.

It will be casual.

And it will have a tap.

Thank you so much, Mr. Taffer.

So, I'm gonna work my ass off all night on this thing.

I want you to do something for me. I want you to get some rest.

Go be with your family. I'll see you in 36 hours, okay?

You got it.

I want that blueprint. I wanna hang that on my wall.

I can't even believe that for the first time in 10 years,

I'm gonna have a sign out front.

I can't wait to get over there.

An Announcement on the Future of this Channel... - Duration: 1:24.

Hi everyone, it's Mike Calabro from NowThis.

I'm the 'fake geek boy' and 'corporate shill who's apparently responsible for this whole thing.

It's been two months since we posted our last video, and you're probably wondering where we've been.

Well, we've been watching and listening to the convesation happening around the channel.

We hear you, and we're sorry for the way this channel re-branding went down.

So let me be the first to tell you... We're changing it all back.

As of today, NowThis Nerd will be on its own brand-new YouTube channel.

We've already removed all of our videos, and this one is only going to stay up for like, two weeks.

At that point, the Sourcefed Nerd channel will become a permanent archive for all the great videos we've enjoyed over the years.

You guys built this awesome community. You're incredibly passionate, and believe me when I tell you...

You're some of the most loyal fans on all of YouTube.

We respect that more than you know, and it's now clear to us that taking on this audience without earning it wasn't respectful.

We get that. Believe me. I think I've read every comment over the last couple of months.

I'm talking pages and pages and pages and pages... Anyway.

We know that some of you had even begun to like our videos, you just didn't want to see them here.

We hope you'll continue to watch our videos as we build a new community on our new page seperate from Sourcefed Nerd.

I want to thank you for taking the time to hear me out today, and I hope I see you on the other side.

Thank you so much.
