S. Korea and U.S. nuclear envoys to discuss N. Korea, Trump's trip to Seoul - Duration: 0:50.

Let's start with the latest diplomatic moves to ease tensions with North Korea.

South Korea's representative for the Six-Party talks will be meeting with his American counterpart

in Seoul in the coming hours.

The two are set share intelligence on North Korea's nuclear activities and exchange ideas

on how to best tackle them.

They will also work on a consistent South Korea-U.S. message towards the regime, in

preparation for President Trump's visit to Seoul early next month.

This is the last in a series of meetings between South Korean, U.S. and Japanese diplomats

over the last three days.

On Wednesday, a vice-ministerial level meeting concluded with the three nations pledging

to explore all possible diplomatic options to denuclearize North Korea.

Second Heaven Spiritual Warfare: Not For Us - Duration: 6:48.

Battling second heaven demons is not part of what we do it Above &Beyond. I

want to share our perspective and give you some suggestions if you do decide

you want to engage in warfare in that realm Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:12

that we battle spiritual forces of evil on earth and in the heavenly realms at

our Center we purposely avoid warfare in the second heaven the heavenly realms

and focus on the Ministry of deliverance I want to explain the distinction and

offer insights as to why you should be careful before you venture in to that

type of warfare word tells us that there are three heavens the Bible specifically

refers to the third heaven there must be two others and defining them can be

subject to debate in the body of Christ we view them this way the first heaven

is the earth where we live work and play second heaven comprises principalities

of evil in the heavenly realms as Paul talked about in Ephesians 6:12 and it

could be over cities countries churches in the like the third heaven is where

God's throne room resides now Paul was taken there in the spirit 2nd

Corinthians 12:2 we can safely presume that there is no need for spiritual

warfare there however it is interesting that Satan went before God with other

angels in Joel 1:6 now as an aside that passage alone it seems to me refutes the

view many profess that demons have to flee in his presence this statement I

know will rankle an anger some folks but Satan clearly had no issue being in the

same room if you like as the creator deliverance ministry is

an earthly or first heaven activity Jesus walked in the flesh drove demons

out of the afflicted and told his church to do the same of course we see that

Mark 16:17 there are very few biblical references in 2nd heaven or to 2nd

heaven demon activity does talk about the

Prince of the Persian Kingdom. Daniels prayer response was hindered by this

demon that's in Daniel 10:13 and the messenger angel had to be assisted by

the Archangel Michael secondly we hear of a Leviathan spirit that's mentioned

in several places in Scripture Joel 41 Joel 41 verses 26 to 32 Psalm 74 1314

and others but once again that's a that's a second heaven spirit there is

also reference to a Jezebel spirit now we contend that this is a second heaven

spirit over principalities we have other articles podcasts and videos on this

evil devil so we're not going to talk about that here however during

deliverance we will call out spirits of control and manipulation because we do

see these demons as being ones that end well believers

unlike the Jezebel spirit now also some believers and some Christians will

reference what they call a Python spirit is it a second heaven spirit acts 16

verses 16 to 19 details the account of a woman who was possessed it says by a

spirit of divination and she was used by her master as a fortune-teller now the

Greek text there uses the word "PUTHON"

from which we get the word Python. Now in our Center we address and do cast out

spirits of divination and do not focus on a Python spirits other ministries

will take a different path but that's our approach so we once again see that

as a second heaven spirit. Now in our Center we do not engage in the second

heaven type of warfare for three main reasons first of all deliverance

ministry is a first heaven or fair activity our mission is to drive demons

out of people and we really do want to stay in our lane. Once again that's

Mark 16:17. Fixating on these spiritual forces of

evil in the second heaven we believe can unnecessarily complicate the process of

setting the captives free we just do not see the need secondly we are weary we're

concerned about the dangers involved in the second heaven type of warfare I

contend that many Christians come under significant attack because they are not

wise about engaging in this activity. Now I'm not saying it should not be done but

those involved should be knowledgeable trained accountable and under a

spiritual covering if you're active in this spirit of love or this rather this

theater of war I highly recommend that you read a book called "Needless

Casualties of War" book written by the late John Paul Jackson and I think he

makes a very strong case for significant caution if you like him in this arena

thirdly there is really scant evidence that second heaven demons significantly

affect or direct the activities of demons indwelling the saints while we do

not discount the effect of these evil forces over the cities countries

churches and principalities and so on that they rule over individuals can be

set free from demonic torment regardless of discovery we encourage people to move

out from ungodly spiritual authority churches for example but but really

that's a counseling rather than a deliverance issue. Just to be clear I'm

not saying that second heaven war spiritual warfare is wrong or

unnecessary but we do see it as a separate battlefront and those who

engage the enemy there really do need to be wise trained up discerning and

careful. If you want to join in on this frontier get knowledge training and

proper spiritual covering now by the way we also encourage that that same type of

approach for those involved in deliverance ministry the enemies of our

soul the demonic realm are not powerless as some suppose and are still actively

seeking to kill steal and destroy that's in John 10:10

Let us move ahead in the body of Christ with wisdom and discernment

knowing that we have both the power and the authority to prevail god bless him

Jack Phillips The Road To The U.S. Supreme Court (Full Version) - Duration: 7:25.

(uplifting music)

- Wedding cake designers are very artistic.

It's amazing.

They have to have an imagination

above most other cake makers.

- [Woman] Every thing about it is creative.

It's a work of art.

- [Voiceover] And one such artist is Jack Phillips,

owner of Masterpiece Cake Shop in Lakewood, Colorado.

- [Jack] Love to draw,

love to learn to paint in high school.

From my earliest memories,

I was coloring and drawing all the time and

always had a pencil in my hand in school.

And if they needed a ten page term paper,

it would be nine illustrations and a map.

I realized that I could make a living at it

and do this and enjoy it as well.

After I first went to work at a bakery.

And, immediately I fell in love with the baking end of it

and when I would eventually open a bakery,

that it would be a cake shop

where I would make cakes

and use all the art that was in my background.

I like pastel blue.

'Cause I have pallette knives.

I buy them at art stores

because they work on the cakes, different shapes.

I have, I don't know,

a whole lot of different paint brushes.

Maybe a lot of different tools like that.

You use sticks, you use cardboard.

You know like, decorative implements.

- [Voiceover] The name Masterpiece Cake Shop

is deeply meaningful to Jack.

- [Jack] First meaning is masterpiece is artwork.

And it's a Masterpiece Cake Shop

to indicate that it's cakes,

and not just a bakery,

but it's a place where you get artistic cakes.

And, part of the name also is Master,

and that comes from Gospel of Matthew

where Jesus says "no man can serve two masters."

When I do this,

it's not because I wanna make a lot of money.

It's because I wanna do what I do to honor God

and serve him faithfully.

- [Voiceover] Jack's been running Masterpiece Cake Shop

for 24 years and has welcomed and served everyone

that comes through his doors.

But he doesn't design cakes for every event.

- If somebody were to ask me

to make a cake for a divorce,

which has happened,

and that's a cake that I had to turn away.

- [Voiceover] Jack's been asked to make Anti-American cakes,

cakes for bachelor parties,

cakes with profanity on them,

and even cakes that disparage the LGBT community.

All of which, he cannot make in good conscious.

- I'm not gonna do cakes that

I would have to explain to my mom

or my granddaughter when they're sitting in the showcase.

- [Voiceover] Artists turn down work all the time

that would violate their conscious,

but Jack's decision not to design one particular cake

has nearly destroyed his business

and landed him before the Colorado Civil Right's commission.

- [Jack] The day the two gentlemen came in,

it was a busy afternoon.

And so I went around the desk and sat down with them.

"What can I do for you?"

"Well, we're here to look at wedding cakes,

"and it's for our wedding."

And, you know, right away I know that

that's not something I'm gonna be able to create for them

so I told them,

"You know, I'll sell you cookies, brownies, birthday cake."

Pretty much everything that I make.

That's just a cake that I can't make.

They took offense at that, got mad.

Jumped up, flipped me off,

swore at me and stormed out of the shop.

- [Voiceover] And soon, the death threats came.

- [Jack] Somebody threatened to come and shoot me.

He kept calling and calling and calling

and telling me where he was.

So, I called the police.

Told my daughter to go,

to go hide in the back.

And not to come out until I told her it's okay.

It's not about turning away these people.

It's about not doing a cake for an event,

a religious, sacred event,

that conflicts with my conscious.

- [Voiceover] The Colorado Civil Rights Commission

ordered Jack to make cakes for same-sex weddings.

So to avoid violating the commissions order

in his religious convictions,

Jack stopped making wedding cakes altogether.

- [Woman] The commission's ruling

has resulted in Jack losing 40% of his business.

Thank about that for a minute.

That's 40% of his families income.

- At one point, just before this,

I had ten employees.

When the payroll came, I wrote ten checks.

Now we write four, and one of them is mine.

- [Kristen] In this case,

the state wants to have it's cake, and eat it too.

On the one hand, it wants to punish,

to silence and even ruin Jack

and his family and his cake shop,

because it disagrees with his beliefs on marriage.

But yet, three other bakeries

who were asked by a Christian customer

to design custom cakes

that would oppose same-sex marriage,

the same commissioners that compared Jack's beliefs

to the Holocaust,

told those bakers that they had the right

not to design cakes.

These laws are being used

not only to silence,

not only to punish,

but to ruin creative professionals

that don't agree with the governments ideology on marriage.

They can force a democratic speech writer

to have to write for a republican candidate,

they can force a Muslim painter

to have to custom paint a visual depiction of Muhammad

in violation of their convictions.

- [Voiceover] Alliance Defending Freedom

will defend Jack's freedom to live and work

consistent with his convictions

at the United States Supreme Court.

- My hope, at the end of all this,

is that the US Supreme Court

determines that creative professionals, artists,

are free to choose the avenues that they are gonna work in.

Which artwork they choose to create.

Which artwork they choose to deny.

Based on their conscious.

- All Americans want that right.

We should support Jack's right

even if we support same-sex marriage!

Because conscious is something

we all want to have the right to live by,

and what the Constitution guarantees

for every single person.

So this isn't just about the rights

of someone who believes marriage

is between a man and a woman,

it's about the right of all of us

to be able to disagree

and to be comfortable with that

and give each other enough space,

enough room, to live consistent with our convictions.

And if we want a truly diverse and tolerant society,

we need to ask ourselves,

are we really willing to force Jewish,

Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, creative professionals,

people like Jack,

from the public square

simply because they hold a belief

that marriage is between a man and a woman,

a belief that is cut across all civilizations,

cultures and religions,

and races throughout millennia.

I think not.

Tolerance should be a two-way street.

- Alright, anything else for you today?

- [Voiceover] Though the customers are fewer today,

many come from long distances

to support Jack and his artistic work.

- [Man] I came from Encampment, Wyoming.

A town of 400 people.

And I came down to support him

to show that there are other people

that feel the same way.

- [Woman] And he custom made it for us.

It's a masterpiece.

It is one of his masterpieces.

- [Jack] My bakery, my family, my life,

the work that I get to do is a gift from God,

and I wanna honor him in everything that I do.

And, when I finish in this life

for him to say, well done, good and faithful.

Well done, good and faithful servant.

'We need missile defences NOW' US General demands ACTION on North Korea threat to HAWAII - Duration: 3:17.

Welcome to Breaking News Today

'We need missile defences NOW' US General demands ACTION on North Korea threat to HAWAII

A US GENERAL has demanded action amid fears North Korea could launch a nuclear strike

on Hawaii.

Air Force Lt. General Dan "Fig" Leaf, now retired, said the Pentagon needs to step

up its defences to send a message to Kim Jong-un.

The hero, who lives in Honolulu, warned Donald Trump needs to put North Korea "on notice"

and show the US "is not going to sit idly".

He predicted the deployment of missile defence batteries to the Pacific islands would be

a a major victory over Kim.

It was previously revealed Hawaii believes there is a direct threat from North Korea.

Tensions continue to rise as Trump and Kim engage in a fierce war of words over the rogue

state's mission of nuclear-capable ICBMs.

General Leaf said: "The president cannot allow North Korea to get comfortable with

the notion that they have the initiative on all fronts.

"Improving Hawaii's defences complicates the North Korean attack calculations and puts

Kim Jong Un on notice that the US is not going to sit idly by under their threats, nor will

it limit its actions to negotiation or military operations on the Korean Peninsula."

US missile defences could be deployed in Hawaii as earlier as January, reports Stars and Stripes.

General Leaf worked as deputy commander of the US Pacific Command (PACCOM) from 2005

to 2008.

He criticised Trump for not taking enough "substantive action" to tackle North Korea

– calling for deployment of missile defence system THAAD to Hawaii.

Massive war drills are under way in the Korean Peninsula as the USS Ronald Reagan leads the

40-ship exercise near the North.

Admiral Harry Harris, head of PACCOM, said on Tuesday: "Many people have talked about

military options being unimaginable regarding North Korea.

"Folks, I must imagine the unimaginable. And what is unimaginable to me are North Korean

nuclear-tipped missiles delivered in Los Angeles and Honolulu and Seoul and Tokyo and

Sydney and Singapore."

North Korea continues to openly threaten the US despite tough talk from Trump and his defence

boss General James Mattis.

Calm appears to have fallen in the Korean Peninsula, with Kim not having fired a missile

or tested a nuclear bomb since September 15.

It is believed there may be problems with Pyongyang's test site, with unexplained

earthquakes shaking North Korea.

Russia is claimed to be hosting a "back channel" meeting between Kim's top diplomat

and the US.

6. Official Announcement of Candidacy for US President - 10 February 2007 - Duration: 19:51.

We all made this journey for a reason. It's humbling to see a crowd like this , but in my heart I know you didn't come here just for me

No, you came here because you believe in what this country can be

In the face of war, you believe there can be peace. In the face of despair, you believe there can be hope.

In the face of a politics that's shut you out, that's told you to settle, that's divided us for too long,

you believe that we can be one people, reaching for what's possible, building that more perfect union.

That's the journey we're on today. But let me tell you how I came to be here.

As most of you know, I am not a native of this great state.

I moved to Illinois over two decades ago. I was a young man then, just a year out of college;

I knew no one in Chicago when I arrived, was without money or family connections.

But a group of churches had offered me a job as a community organizer for the grand sum of $13,000 a year.

And I accepted the job, sight unseen, motivated then by a single, simple, powerful idea — that I might play a small part in building a better America.

My work took me to some of Chicago's poorest neighborhoods.

I joined with pastors and lay-people to deal with communities that had been ravaged by plant closings

I saw that the problems people faced weren't simply local in nature — that the decision to close a steel mill was made by distant executives;

that the lack of textbooks and computers in schools could be traced to the skewed priorities of politicians a thousand miles away;

and that when a child turns to violence, I came to realize that there's a hole in that boy's heart no government could ever fill.

It was in these neighborhoods that I received the best education I ever had, and where I learned the meaning of my Christian faith.

After three years of this work, I went to law school, because I wanted to understand how the law should work for those in need.

I became a civil rights lawyer, and taught constitutional law, and after a time,

I came to understand that our cherished rights of liberty and equality depend on the active participation of an awakened electorate.

It was with these ideas in mind that I arrived in this capital city as a state Senator.

It was here, in Springfield, where I saw all that is America converge — farmers and teachers,

businessmen and laborers, all of them with a story to tell, all of them seeking a seat at the table, all of them clamoring to be heard

I made lasting friendships here — friends that I see in the audience here today.

It was here we learned to disagree without being disagreeable — that it's possible to compromise so long as you know those principles that can never be compromised;

and that so long as we're willing to listen to each other, we can assume the best in people instead of the worst.

It's why we were able to reform a death penalty system that was broken. That's why we were able to give health insurance to children in need

That's why we made the tax system right here in Springfield more fair and just for working families,

and that's why we passed ethics reforms that the cynics said could never, ever be passed.

It was here, in Springfield, where North, South, East and West come together that I was reminded of the essential decency of the American people

where I came to believe that through this decency, we can build a more hopeful America.

And that is why, in the shadow of the Old State Capitol, where Lincoln once called on a house divided to stand together,

where common hopes and common dreams still live, I stand before you today to announce my candidacy for President of the United States of America.

Now listen, I recognize there is a certain presumptuousness — a certain audacity — to this announcement.

I know I haven't spent a lot of time learning the ways of Washington.

But I've been there long enough to know that the ways of Washington must change.

The genius of our founders is that they designed a system of government that can be changed.

And we should take heart, because we've changed this country before.

In the face of tyranny, a band of patriots brought an Empire to its knees.

In the face of secession, we unified a nation and set the captives free.

In the face of Depression, we put people back to work and lifted millions out of poverty.

We welcomed immigrants to our shores, we opened railroads to the west, we landed a man on the moon,

and we heard a King's call to let justice roll down like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream.

Each and every time, a new generation has risen up and done what's needed to be done.

Today we are called once more — and it is time for our generation to answer that call.

For that is our unyielding faith — that in the face of impossible odds, people who love their country can change it.

That's what Abraham Lincoln understood. He had his doubts. He had his defeats. He had his setbacks.

But through his will and his words, he moved a nation and helped free a people.

It is because of the millions who rallied to his cause that we are no longer divided, North and South, slave and free.

Because men and women of every race, from every walk of life, continued to march for freedom long after Lincoln was laid to rest,

that today we have the chance to face the challenges of this millennium together, as one people — as Americans.

All of us know what those challenges are today — a war with no end, a dependence on oil that threatens our future,

schools where too many children aren't learning, and families struggling paycheck to paycheck despite working as hard as they can.

We know the challenges. We've heard them. We've talked about them for years.

What's stopped us from meeting these challenges is not the absence of sound policies and sensible plans.

What's stopped us is the failure of leadership, the smallness -- the smallness of our politics -- the ease with which we're distracted by the petty and trivial,

our chronic avoidance of tough decisions, our preference for scoring cheap political points instead of rolling up our sleeves

and building a working consensus to tackle the big problems of America.

For the past six years we've been told that our mounting debts don't matter.

We've been told that the anxiety Americans feel about rising health care costs and stagnant wages are an illusion.

We've been told that climate change is a hoax. We've been told that tough talk and an ill-conceived war can replace diplomacy, and strategy, and foresight.

And when all else fails, when Katrina happens, or the death toll in Iraq mounts, we've been told that our crises are somebody else's fault.

We're distracted from our real failures, and told to blame the other Party, or gay people, or immigrants.

And as people have looked away in disillusionment and frustration, we know what's filled the void: the cynics, the lobbyists, the special interests

who've turned our government into a game only they can afford to play. They write the checks and you get stuck with the bill.

They get the access while you get to write a letter. They think they own this government, but we're here today to take it back.

The time for that kind of politics is over. It is through. It's time to turn the page -- right here and right now.

Look, look, we have made some progress already. I was proud to help lead the fight in Congress that led to the most sweeping ethics reforms since Watergate

But Washington has a long way to go, and it won't be easy. That's why we'll have to set priorities. We'll have to make hard choices.

And although government will play a crucial role in bringing about the changes that we need, more money and programs alone will not get us to where we need to go.

Each of us, in our own lives, will have to accept responsibility

for instilling an ethic of achievement in our children, for adapting to a more competitive economy,

for strengthening our communities, and sharing some measure of sacrifice.

So let us begin. Let us begin this hard work together. Let us transform this nation

Let us be the generation that reshapes our economy to compete in the digital age.

Let's set high standards for our schools and give them the resources they need to succeed

Let's recruit a new army of teachers, and give them better pay and more support in exchange for more accountability

Let's make college more affordable, and let's invest in scientific research,

and let's lay down broadband lines through the heart of inner cities and rural towns all across America. We can do that.

And as our economy changes, let's be the generation that ensures our nation's workers are sharing in our prosperity.

Let's protect the hard-earned benefits their companies have promised

Let's make it possible for hardworking Americans to save for retirement.

Let's allow our unions and their organizers to lift up this country's middle-class again. We can do that.

Let's be the generation that ends poverty in America. Every single person willing to work should be able to get job training that leads to a job,

and earn a living wage that can pay the bills, and afford child care so their kids can have a safe place to go when they work. We can do this.

And let's be the generation that finally, after all these years, tackles our health care crisis.

We can control costs by focusing on prevention, by providing better treatment to the chronically ill, and using technology to cut the bureaucracy.

Let's be the generation that says right here, right now:

We will have universal health care in America by the end of the next President's first term. We can do that.

Let's be the generation that finally frees America from the tyranny of oil. We can harness homegrown,

alternative fuels like ethanol and spur the production of more fuel-efficient cars.

We can set up a system for capping greenhouse gases.

We can turn this crisis of global warming into a moment of opportunity for innovation, and job creation, and an incentive for businesses that will serve as a model for the world.

Let's be the generation that makes future generations proud of what we did here.

Most of all, let's be the generation that never forgets what happened on that September day and confront the terrorists with everything we've got.

Politics doesn't have to divide us on this anymore; we can work together to keep our country safe.

I've worked with the Republican Senator Dick Lugar to pass a law that will secure and destroy some of the world's deadliest weapons.

We can work together to track down terrorists with a stronger military. We can tighten the net around their finances.

We can improve our intelligence capabilities and finally get homeland security right.

But let's also understand that ultimate victory against our enemies will only come by rebuilding our alliances

and exporting those ideals that bring hope and opportunity to millions of people around the globe.

We can do those things.

But all of this cannot come to pass until we bring an end to this war in Iraq.

Most of you know -- Most of you know that I opposed this war from the start.

I thought it was a tragic mistake. Today we grieve for the families who have lost loved ones, the hearts that have been broken, and the young lives that could have been

America, it is time to start bringing our troops home.

It's time -- It's time to admit that no amount of American lives can resolve the political disagreement that lies at the heart of someone else's civil war.

That's why I have a plan that will bring our combat troops home by March of 2008.

Let the Iraqis know -- Letting the Iraqis know that we will not be there forever is our last,

best hope to pressure the Sunni and Shia to come to the table and find peace.

And there's one other thing that it's not too late to get right about this war,

and that is the homecoming of the men and women, our veterans, who have sacrificed the most.

Let us honor their courage by providing the care they need and rebuilding the military they love.

Let us be the generation that begins that work.

I know there are those who don't believe we can do all these things. I understand the skepticism.

After all, every four years, candidates from both Parties make similar promises, and I expect this year will be no different.

All of us running for President will travel around the country offering ten-point plans and making grand speeches;

all of us will trumpet those qualities we believe make us uniquely qualified to lead this country.

But too many times, after the election is over, and the confetti is swept away, all those promises fade from memory,

and the lobbyists and special interests move in, and people turn away, disappointed as before, left to struggle on their own.

That's why this campaign can't only be about me. It must be about us. It must be about what we can do together.

This campaign must be the occasion, the vehicle, of your hopes, and your dreams.

It will take your time, your energy, and your advice to push us forward when we're doing right, and let us know when we're not.

This campaign has to be about reclaiming the meaning of citizenship, restoring our sense of common purpose,

and realizing that few obstacles can withstand the power of millions of voices calling for change.

By ourselves, this change will not happen. Divided, we are bound to fail.

But the life of a tall, gangly, self-made Springfield lawyer tells us that a different future is possible.

He tells us that there is power in words.

He tells us that there's power in conviction.

That beneath all the differences of race and region, faith and station, we are one people.

He tells us that there's power in hope.

As Lincoln organized the forces arrayed against slavery, he was heard to say this:

"Of strange, discordant, and even hostile elements, we gathered from the four winds, and formed and fought to battle through."

That is our purpose here today. That is why I am in this race

not just to hold an office, but to gather with you to transform a nation.

I want -- I want to win that next battle -- for justice and opportunity.

I want to win that next battle -- for better schools, and better jobs, and better health care for all.

I want us to take up the unfinished business of perfecting our union, and building a better America.

And if you will join with me in this improbable quest, if you feel destiny calling,

and see as I see, the future of endless possibility stretching out before us;

if you sense, as I sense, that the time is now to shake off our slumber, and slough off our fears

and make good on the debt we owe past and future generations,

then I am ready to take up the cause, and march with you, and work with you -- today.

Together we can finish the work that needs to be done, and usher in a new birth of freedom on this Earth.

Thank you very much everybody -- let's get to work! I love you. Thank you.

JT helps us relate, Bae's bunker blast & Schniederjans wears a hat - Duration: 1:58.

When it's Friday and you putt how you want to…

Hey, golf is hard!

After shooting a 63 in Rd 1 – the Player of the Year had an up-and-down 74 on Friday

at the inaugural CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES.

It took Justin Thomas 10 holes to make his first birdie of the day.

Welcome to the club JT…

And I'm sure we can all relate to this too.

From one bunker to the next…

I know it's hard to tell, because he's wearing a hat – but that is Ollie Schniederjans

making moves on Friday.

"take it off."

Did he just ask him to take it off?

And check it out!

He made all 4's on his scorecard on the back nine.

Try doing that!

Lucas Glover was lurking too and took the lead for himself a few times…

Sangmoon Bae made his first PGA TOUR start in 2 years at the Safeway Open two weeks ago,

after serving his mandatory military service time in his native South Korea.

This week, he returns to his home country to restart his career.

And shots like this will surely get you going!

But check out this approach!

Cody Gribble may have been 7-over through his first three holes, but maybe this shot

on the 18th will help him feel a little better.

This is spectacular!

The inaugural CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES continues Saturday.

Can't stay up to watch?

Don't worry, we've got you covered with another recap in The Takeaway.

Incredible Facts About US Special Forces - Duration: 13:52.

The United States government has tried their best to keep the facts about their Special

Forces and what they do as secretive as possible.

However, in a country that is so proud of its military and their lore, quite a bit has

managed to leak out anyway.

More recently, the Navy SEALs have been very much in the spotlight due to the raid on the

compound holding Osama Bin Laden, as well as the subsequent movies and books about it.

However, much of what you have heard recently about the SEALs may not be the whole truth,

and there are many other equally interesting Special Forces that have fallen under the

radar in recent years.

10.

The American Green Berets are a Nod to British Royal Commandos During World War 2

The Green Berets are one of the most famous special forces divisions in the world, and

one of the two most well known in the US army, the other being the US Army Rangers.

The Green Berets were originally formed as a unit for performing unconventional warfare

when needed, getting a lot of their original work during Vietnam, where they fought with

guerilla tactics and trained those Vietnamese on the American side to do the same.

However, while the classic green beret is synonymous with American special forces, it

is actually really a nod of respect to the British soldiers that inspired their existence

in the first place.

The green beret was designed by a former Special Forces Major Herbert Brucker, who had been

with the OSS, and was very familiar with the British Commandos during World War II, who

wore green berets as standard issue.

The green beret was actually not officially sanctioned at first, and was mostly worn during

combat training to sort of build morale.

Eventually, President Kennedy expanded the role of the Special Forces in Cold War operations,

and officially asked them to wear the green beret from then on.

The Green Berets now specially honor Kennedy, laying a wreath at his gravesite every year

in remembrance of the respect he showed them.

9.

The US Does Not Track Confirmed Kills For Any Branch, Special Forces or Otherwise

Not that long ago, late SEAL sniper Chris Kyle had a book published that self aggrandized

his life and role in a way that was likely not particularly approved by military command,

and doesn't really befit the generally humble and secretive role special forces are supposed

to take on.

Regardless, he quickly became a folk hero in certain circles, partly for his claims

that he had the most confirmed sniper kills in history.

Now, we should first point out that snipers today have a lot of very advanced equipment

and math on their side, so comparing them to the achievements of the past is hardly

fair.

Further, since then other snipers who had put their humility on the back-burner have

claimed to have even higher kill counts.

The problem is that their entire premise is bunk – there are no "confirmed kill"

lists in the military.

The military does keep track of incidents, but they are mostly going on the word of the

soldiers involved, and don't keep a kill tally anywhere.

They don't have the time, or would take the effort if they did, to go through every

incident a soldier was involved in and keep a kill tally.

So when a soldier says they have a certain amount of kills, some people would just take

them at their word, as they trust a military man.

But it is easy for our memories to play tricks on us and to exaggerate our accomplishments

even in our own minds.

The truth is that confirmed kill counts simply aren't a thing, except in the individual's

mind.

8.

The Navy SEALs Have Something Called "Hell Week" That is Perhaps Even Worse Than It

Sounds

The United States Navy SEALs have been in the news the past few years for several high

profile operations, and because of the media spotlight that Chris Kyle turned on himself

and the SEAL community.

They are known for being incredibly tough, absurdly well trained, and some of the best

of the best even among fellow Special Forces groups.

The way they get there is a selection process that is straight out of hell.

The final part of the initial training involves a five and a half day period designated as

'hell week', where you get less than four hours of sleep a night, and are constantly

subjected to grueling training in the most rigorous conditions.

Trainees can expect to get covered in mud, stand in ocean water, stand still while soaking

on the beach, paddle boats, carry boats over their heads, do all sorts of physical exercises

and training drills, deal with horrible cold, physical pain and discomfort, complete exhaustion

in some cases, and extreme mental fatigue.

All of this is expected to be done while extremely sleep deprived, and good decision making is

very important during the final part of the training.

To make matters even harder, the drill instructors will stand nearby with bullhorns and encourage

people to drop out, to mimic the voice in their head that tells them to quit.

The SEALs believe that mentally wanting it is more important than anything, so this negative

encouragement ensures that the trainee really does want it more than anything.

7.

The "Night Stalkers" are Especially Good at Nighttime Operations, Helicopter Use, and

Awesome Names

The Night Stalkers are a Special Forces division of the Army whose job is almost entirely to

fly helicopters.

Some of the larger helicopters that carry multiple people will also have a trained Night

Stalker medic on board as well.

These forces got their name because of their skill at getting to areas undetected at night,

although they are known for being good at stealth at any time of day or in any region,

and are known for their motto "Night Stalker's Don't Quit."

As a helicopter force, their job is to get into places where reinforcement, supplies,

or evacuation of some kind is needed, often having to make their way through hostile territory

to get there.

This has made them very good at making their way through incredibly dangerous weather,

terrain and enemy emplacements, in order to backup the US military as needed.

(Quick note: if you've seen or read Black Hawk Down, the Black Hawk helicopters were

piloted by Night Stalkers.)

They are known for comprehensive but quick training that is constantly reinforced on

a regular basis, bringing new people up to readiness quicker than some other special

forces – but no less good at their jobs.

Many people may also not realize that while the SEALs got the lion's share of the glory,

they relied on the Night Stalkers for insertion and extraction when they raided the compound

where terrorist mastermind Osama Bin Laden was hiding.

6.

Delta Force is So Secretive You Aren't Even Supposed to Know They Exist

Delta Force is one of the strangest Special Force units, and possibly the most elite of

them all – if nothing else, they are the most secretive.

Delta Force members are not supposed to tell anyone the unit exists, with threat of prison,

and understand well the consequences and the importance of keeping their role a secret.

When a Delta Force member dies, the United States Army will not admit that they were

a member of Delta Force, as the unit is supposed to be kept

that secret.

It is one of those open secrets, such as the DEFCON levels – something that is still

the highest level of classified – that somehow leaked out anyways.

However, despite their existence being leaked, this doesn't mean the government has any

desire to give any details about what they do.

We do know that they were the ones who captured Saddam Hussein, and who also took out several

top leaders in Iraq shortly after, but very little is known about them.

Unlike the SEALs, they are not compartmentalized.

They are more like a shadow force that operates almost alongside and within the regular army,

so that they can perform more longterm operations as needed – whereas the SEALs tend to be

used for more quick in-and-out missions.

While some wonder why the SEALs get all the glory, the focus on the SEALs helps Delta

Force to keep their mission and work as secretly as possible.

5.

US Special Forces Have to Know Multiple Languages On Top of Having Amazing Combat Capabilities

Most people tend to think of Special Forces as just highly trained killers who specialize

in survival skills as well.

They are often believed to be incredibly physically fit, and mentally sound, but popular media

often doesn't portray them as particularly intellectual in their pursuits.

More often than not, it focuses mostly on the aspect of their prowess as warriors and

their hardened emotions that allow them to make tough choices in combat and kill others

before they kill them.

However, to get into the Special Forces you have to be the best of the best, and this

does not just include physical characteristics.

Anyone who wants to be in the Special Forces, especially in a leadership position, needs

to clearly demonstrate their intelligence, especially under pressure.

And Special Forces training includes intensive training in another language, usually one

that will be used commonly in the region you are deploying to.

You are not just expected to be tough and strong, you are also expected to be bilingual

so you can communicate with the locals and even blend in if necessary.

Being in the Special Forces is often more about the mental aspect than the physical.

As we talked about earlier when discussing the Navy SEALs, many in leadership believe

that the drive to be a part of the Special Forces is far more important than your physical

fitness.

4.

Some US Special Forces are Allowed to Grow Beards and Have More Lax Discipline in General

Some US Special Forces are actually allowed to grow beards.

This is partly due to the Special Forces units often having more individuality and lax discipline

as part of their structure – the most elite people tend to be less likely to want to submit

to strict orders and the stifling of creative thought.

However, apart from the unique personality of Special Forces, there are also strategic

reasons for beard-wearing in the Middle Eastern theaters of war, specifically.

Many Middle Easterners simply do not respect a man who does not have a full beard, and

for those who are in positions where they constantly interact with regular, everyday

folk in the towns, it can make it difficult to get respect or blend in without a beard.

And more often then not, these roles end up in the hands of the Special Forces.

This has always been controversial, as many in the regular units feel it is giving the

Special Forces privileges they should not have, and some in leadership believe that

it can eventually lead to a breakdown in order and discipline where troops wear less and

less of the proper uniform, and altogether take their jobs too casually.

Recently the United States military cracked down and started ordering those who are not

in positions where they regularly interact with people in the towns to start shaving

their beards, whether they were Special Forces or not.

In order to ensure proper discipline, they felt that if you don't have a strategic

reason for having a beard, you should not be sporting one.

Of course, some in the Special Forces were not happy at all to hear this.

3.

The US has a Division of Special Forces Who Specialize in Predicting the Weather

It's something you really don't think about, but when you do stop to think about

it, it seems rather obvious.

Of course the United States military cannot afford to rely on the National Weather Service

for accurate weather predictions.

They often need very quick and accurate calculations in very tense situations where lives are on

the line and time is of the essence.

These situations often occur in remote areas where any kind of weather service is little

to nonexistent, or simply isn't close to accurate enough to make calls that could decide

the fate of human lives.

And that is where the Special Operations Weather Technicians, or SOWT, come in.

They are tasked regularly with keeping a constant eye on the weather in new and hostile environments,

and sometimes have to make decisions with very little to go on.

In some rare cases, they have been parachuted in in order to assess the situation to see

if a safe escape by helicopter was possible in dangerously foggy conditions.

They are often brought along as a precaution when weather is bad, in order to provide input

to helicopter pilots on how to avoid the most dangerous weather and bring everyone safely

back to base.

While most people have not heard of them, they are a vital and integral part of the

United States Special Forces.

2.

The US Unified Command Structure For All Special Forces was Only Established in 1987

The United States Special Operations Command, or SOCOM for short, is something you would

think existed for a long time.

They are tasked with coordinating all of the various and sundry Special Forces units, making

sure that they can all work properly together, and don't accidentally bump into each other

while performing operations.

While it would seem like common sense to have something like this to begin with, sadly that

was not the case.

Back in the 1980s the Iranians were holding hostages, and Delta Force botched a rescue

effort rather badly.

Not to besmirch Delta Force, though; the blame for the failure was put on the fact that several

Special Operations groups were not properly coordinating together, which lead the mission

to become disorganized.

After this disaster, the United States leadership decided that they simply could not afford

such a thing to happen again – our most elite units and all the training we put in

are no good if we cannot keep them properly organized and coordinated.

We do them a disservice that way.

Since then, the United States has had a unified command for Special Forces to ensure such

problems do not occur again.

1.

The US Pararescue Force is Often Tasked with Recovering Astronauts After Water Landings

The Pararescue force is one of the most elite in the United States Special Forces.

While they are not as aggrandized by the media, as they are not really known for combat, their

skills are some of the most important, and very, very few make the cut.

The entire strength of the Pararescue at any given time is only about 500 men, which is

incredibly selective even for Special Forces.

They are intensively trained in the ability to parachute from all kinds of distances and

into all kinds of conditions, are skilled at survival, and are often trained with medical

skills to help those they are trying to tend to behind the lines.

When they were in their earliest days, the Pararescue were volunteer medics from the

army who dropped into a deep jungle to care for wounded people who had bailed out of a

plane near the Chinese border.

Since then they have been tasked with being on hand to rescue astronauts from the water

on splashdown, and once rescued Neil Armstrong and astronaut David R. Scott when they had

to make an unexpected landing in 1966.

More recently, they have seen a lot of activity in the Middle East, rescuing civilians from

landslides while braving horrific weather conditions and risking enemy attacks at the

same time.

'We need missile defences NOW' US General demands ACTION on North Korea threat to HAWAII - Duration: 4:03.

'We need missile defences NOW' US General demands ACTION on North Korea threat to HAWAII

General Dan "Fig" Leaf, now retired, said the Pentagon needs to step up its defences to send a message to Kim Jong-un.

The hero, who lives in Honolulu, warned Donald Trump needs to put North Korea "on notice" and show the US "is not going to sit idly".

He predicted the deployment of missile defence batteries to the Pacific islands would be a a major victory over Kim. It was previously revealed Hawaii believes there is a direct threat from North Korea.

Tensions continue to rise as Trump and Kim engage in a fierce war of words over the rogue state's mission of nuclear-capable ICBMs. NORTH KOREA: Kim Jong-un could pose a major threat to Hawaii and the continental US.

General Leaf said: "The president cannot allow North Korea to get comfortable with the notion that they have the initiative on all fronts.

"Improving Hawaii's defences complicates the North Korean attack calculations and puts Kim Jong Un on notice that the US is not going to sit idly by under their threats, nor will it limit its actions to negotiation or military operations on the Korean Peninsula." US missile defences could be deployed in Hawaii as earlier as January, reports Stars and Stripes.

BARRAGE: North Korea have repeatedly tested missiles in 2017 to the fury of the US.

TOP BRASS: Now-retired General Leaf warned Hawaii needs to be on the frontline against NK.

General Leaf worked as deputy commander of the US Pacific Command (PACCOM) from 2005 to 2008. He criticised Trump for not taking enough "substantive action" to tackle North Korea – calling for deployment of missile defence system THAAD to Hawaii.

Massive war drills are under way in the Korean Peninsula as the USS Ronald Reagan leads the 40-ship exercise near the North.

Admiral Harry Harris, head of PACCOM, said on Tuesday: "Many people have talked about military options being unimaginable regarding North Korea. "Folks, I must imagine the unimaginable.

And what is unimaginable to me are North Korean nuclear-tipped missiles delivered in Los Angeles and Honolulu and Seoul and Tokyo and Sydney and Singapore." North Korea continues to openly threaten the US despite tough talk from Trump and his defence boss General James Mattis.

Calm appears to have fallen in the Korean Peninsula, with Kim not having fired a missile or tested a nuclear bomb since September 15.

It is believed there may be problems with Pyongyang's test site, with unexplained earthquakes shaking North Korea. Russia is claimed to be hosting a "back channel" meeting between Kim's top diplomat and the US.
