Dynamics 365 for Talent has several tools to best utilize and grow your employees in your organization. First, by capturing your

employees' competencies and then utilizing that data to help make decisions. For example, while having discussions with employees

regarding where they may want to move and grow in their careers, HR professionals or managers can use the skill gap analysis

skill-gap analysis functionality found in the system.

Perhaps John in your organization has been a sales associate for several years, and would like to move into a sales manager role. By

entering John's information in the Skill gap analysis form, you can compare John's information with that of a sales manager.

I can compare John's skills, shown in the Actual column, with the Target column, which is the sales manager skills.

This will help John have a good conversation with his manager and help him understand where there may be opportunities

to grow his skill set in the future and help him move into that sales manager role that he desires.

In addition, still mapping profiles can be used in succession planning,

or for filling open roles in your organization with internal resources.

For example, let's say you have very tenured and experienced individual in your organization named Kevin Cook. Kevin is going to be retiring

in the near future and you want to understand who in your organization would be best suited to fill Kevin's role once he leaves.

By entering this information retrieving Kevin's profile, I have brought in any of the certificates

skills and education that Kevin currently has. I can see that he has the solution selling certificate and with each

of these items I can indicate if it's optional and assign its importance to it.

Here, in the skills section, I have indicated that customer focus in sales presentations

skills are more important than some other skills when we look at hiring a new sales manager.

Once have entered this information, I can execute this.

This will take Kevin's information and competencies and compare those

against the competencies of the employees in our organization.

Once this is complete, I can look at the results.

The results have listed, in order, who may best be suited to fill Kevin's role.

It appears that Rick, out of a total possible 14 points, achieved 10 points,

indicating that he has the skills set very closely matching that of Kevin Cook's.

by looking into his education, skills and other competencies in more detail, helping me to make those decisions.

BT Daily: How to Have a Successful Bible Study - Part 1 - Duration: 2:35.

[Darris McNeely] A Beyond Today reader ask us, "How can I have successful or effective

Bible study?" You know, we get a lot of questions like that and frankly, you probably asked

that about yourself and maybe wondered around in your own Bible study, wondering how you

can do it better. I wondered the same thing as I study the Bible. I've been studying it

a long time, teaching it, and I recognize that I need to come down to some really good

steps and keys to do that. So I'd like to start a series here on BT Daily of how to

have a successful Bible study or an effective Bible study just to help us all be reminded

of certain points that we need in that.

Let's look at the first one. The first point to having a successful Bible study is to recognize

the Bible is the inspired Word of God. That's got to be at the start, that's got to be right

upfront and if we don't look at both the New Testament and the Old Testament as being the

breathed words of God, as one scripture puts it, given by the inspiration of God, meaning

that they have come out of His mouth, His breath, His mind, His character, His entire

essence then why start? Why and how will we ever learn from that? There's a scripture

in John 6, spoken by Jesus Christ, Son of God, verse 63. Jesus Christ made a statement

that I think if you keep it in mind, and I try to come back to this one as well and recognize

that it is a core truth, he said, "The words that I speak to you they're spirit, they're

life. They're spirit and they are life." (John 6:63)

They're not just human philosophy, they're not just words that some group of people wandering

around in a desert put down at one time and have been kept alive generation after generation.

They're words that come from God, they're spirit, they're eternal, they reach into our

lives and they actually create life. They enhance life, they are our life just like

food and water that we take in to keep ourselves alive. You approach your Bible study that

way, you understand that first upfront and then you are guaranteed to be having, open

to you, tremendous avenues of understanding, and truly successful and effective study of

the Word of God. We'll talk about this more.

How to Setup an Endress+Hauser Picomag Flow Meter - Duration: 6:45.

In today's fast paced environment,

it's always appreciated when you have awesome tools at your fingertips when integrating your control system.

Instrument suppliers, such as Endress Hauser, are stepping up to the challenge.

From Ethernet and web enabled devices to Bluetooth connectivity for configuring your industrial instruments,

Endress Hauser is making your system integration easier.

Endress Hauser has a free Bluetooth app called SmartBlue

that can be downloaded and used for the initial configuration of your E&H Picomag flow meters.

To get started, all you need is the SmartBlue app installed on a compatible Bluetooth device

and the serial number of the flow meter you want to configure.

When you open the app, you will see all devices that are within the 10 meter range of connectivity.

Click on the device that you want to configure. You will need to login in order to change any parameters.

The initial login is Admin for the user name and the serial number for the password.

You can see that the menu is operator friendly and easy to use.

Once logged in to the Bluetooth device, you will see the home screen.

On this screen you will see the basic information of the connected device such as the tag name,

device type, serial number, order code, engineering units, etc.

To start the configuration process, click the icon that is three horizontal lines.

This brings up the options menu.

Select application where you can adjust the parameters such as engineering units, outputs, measured values, etc.

Starting with the configuration of system units,

follow the onscreen instructions to select which volume flow unit

you would like to use as well as change any other parameters as needed.

If you need to change the installation direction of the unit,

you can select the sensor option to change the flow direction

to "in arrow or against arrow directions".

You will want to configure the outputs for your system requirements.

Click on output1 and select the preferred output type amongst the five listed.

To complete the configuration of output1, follow the onscreen instructions.

Do the same process for output2.

If conditions in your environment change, you can simply reconnect to this device and change the parameters.

That's about all you need in order to configure your flow meter for initial use.

In order to keep your devices secure, you should change the password after the initial login.

To do so, click the icon that is three horizontal lines, click on system, then Bluetooth configuration,

then change Bluetooth password. Follow the onscreen instructions to change the password.

At this point, you may want to change the tag name as well.

This should be a name that can be associated with the plant process

and easily identified when looking at devices on the network.

Typically, this is a tag name that is identified on process and instrumentation diagrams or panel drawings

and may have the acronym FIT for flow indicating transmitter.

Once you have completed the configuration, you can then install the device

or, if already installed, simply start measuring process flows.

Both flow and temperature are constantly shown on the Picomag display.

One very cool feature of the Picomag is the ability to see the parameter settings in your flow meter.

By simply knocking twice on the unit, the various parameters will be displayed.

The flow meter display will provide real time device status including errors.

Connecting with the app will allow you to find corresponding diagnostic information for errors found,

giving you insight as to the cause of the error condition.

Endress Hauser has made the integration of the flow meter easy and intuitive.

The trouble shooting tools are great and invaluable in keeping the plant operating at peak level.

New Nespresso Essenza Mini machine: How to descale your Essenza Mini machine - Duration: 2:04.

This tutorial will guide you through the descaling

of your Essenza Mini machine.

We recommend that you descale your Essenza Mini machine

at least once a year.

The Nespresso club offers you a descaling kit

that is specially designed for your Nespresso machine.

Before we begin,

please note that this procedure will take around 15 minutes.

Ensure there is no capsule inside the machine by lifting

and closing the lever.

Also empty the capsule container

and remove the drip tray.

Fill the water tank with 1 unit of Nespresso descaling liquid

and add 0.6 liter of fresh drinking water.

A line on the water tank shows you the right water volume.

Place a container of minimum 1 liter under the coffee outlet.

Turn the machine "ON" by pushing one of the two buttons

and wait for the machine to be fully ready.

To enter "Descaling" mode,

press both Espresso and Lungo buttons for 5 seconds.

Both lights blink.

Now press the Lungo button

and wait until the water tank is empty.

Refill the water tank with the descaling solution

collected in the container.

Start again by placing the container back under the coffee outlet

and pressing the Lungo button.

Wait for the water tank to be empty.

Now rinse the water tank and fill it with fresh drinking water.

It will then be necessary to do a rinsing cycle.

To do so, empty the water container,

place it back under the coffee outlet

and finally press the Lungo button.

Wait for the water tank to be empty.

Now, you can now exit the descaling mode.

To do so, press both the Espresso and the Lungo buttons for 5 seconds.

Your machine is now ready to use.

With the ultra-compact Essenza Mini,

you have full access to the world of Nespresso coffee.

synchronistic, and loving place to be in.

Of course, hardships and troubles may still come your way, but by elevating your life,

you will be able to deal with them quicker and with more ease.

You will be able to resolve situations faster and maintain your inner balance.

It really all comes down to your level of perception.

It�s all about what you choose to focus on.

The higher you vibrate, the more you focus on the good, the easier and more joyous your

life becomes.

By following these steps in just a few short days, you will start to see miraculous changes

and shifts in your own life.

You will start to float above the chaos and find a new meaning to the world around you.

STEP 1: DEVELOP A MEDITATION PRACTICE Even though meditating every day can take

a lot of discipline, it really works!

Even just sitting for 10 minutes can have a profound effect on your life.

It is best to meditate first thing in the morning or last thing at night, but fitting

it in whenever you can is great.

Choose to either sit in a chair with your feet on the ground or sit on the floor with

your legs crossed.

If you are sitting on the floor, use a cushion to prop your hips up so they are slightly

higher than your feet.

As you meditate, focus on your breathing and try to not engage with your thoughts.

If it helps do some breathing exercises, here a few you can try-

Take 10 deep breaths, if you lose your focus start back at 1

Breathe in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4 Breathe in for 5, exhale for 7

Imagine a glowing ball of white light in front of you and inhale this cleansing energy

You can also try reciting a mantra on repeat in your mind.

Set a timer for just 10 minutes, to begin with, and aim to do this every day.

You will see results!

STEP 2: FOCUS ON WHAT IS GOOD Life is not meant to be picture perfect.

There is always going to be some struggle, some learning and some growing to do, but

by focusing on all that is good in your life, the struggle becomes much easier to manage.

Monitor your thoughts and see how much energy you are giving the things that are not working

in your life versus the things that are working in your life.

Often we get so caught up in the things that are not working, that we forget that we have

so much that is working in our lives!

By focusing your attention on what is working, it allows you to move to a more positive mindset.

From this place, it is easier to come up with solutions and change your thinking towards

seeming dilemmas.

As Louise Hay says-

�I do not fix problems.

I fix my thinking and then the problems fix themselves.�

While you don�t want to avoid trouble spots in your life, you also don�t want to get

bogged down by them either.

STEP 3: REPLACE JUDGEMENT WITH KINDNESS Most of us judge ourselves way too harshly.

Remember, we are here to learn, grow, fail, succeed and everything in between.

We are not expected to have everything figured out.

Yes, we will make mistakes, yes we will do the wrong thing sometimes, but this is all

part of life.

We are all spiritual beings here for a human experience, and the more we can be kind to

ourselves, love ourselves and accept our lives, the easier things become.

In fact, when you truly love yourself, everything else falls into place.

It really is that simple.

Along with not judging yourself, you should also try not to judge others.

Everyone is walking their own path, everyone is here to do their own thing and grow in

their own way, so try not to judge.

Instead, try to look at people for who they are- a soul that is here just like you trying

to figure things out!

STEP 4: KNOW YOUR PURPOSE IS LOVE What�s my purpose?

This is something everyone wants to know, but your purpose is not something you find,

it is simply just who you are.

Your purpose is to be yourself and live your truth, and the only truth is love.

Even though this may sound a bit intangible, being true to yourself will always lead to

your highest path.

Try not to get caught up in what your purpose is or try to make it this big, grand thing.

Just be yourself and ask- how can I love myself and others more?

things but you better have most of them that's what life is about and if you

don't have any of those things well then all you've got left is misery and

suffering so that's that's a bad that's a bad deal for you but once you set up

that goal structure let's say and that's really in many in many ways that's what

you should be doing at universities is that's exactly what you should be doing

is trying to figure out who it is that you're trying to be right and you aim at

that and then use everything you learn as a means of building that person that

you want to be and and I really mean want to be I don't mean should be even

those things those things are gonna overlap specify your damn goals cuz how

are you gonna hit something if you don't know what it is that isn't going to

happen and often people won't specify their goals too because they don't like

to specify conditions for failure so if you keep yourself all vague and foggy

which is real easy because that's just a matter of not doing as well then you

don't know when you fail and people might say well I really don't want to

know when I fail because that's painful so I'll keep myself blind about when I

fail that's fine except you'll fail all the time then you just won't know it

until you've failed so badly that you're done and that can easily happen by the

time you're 40 I would recommend that you don't let that happen

so that's willful blindness right you could have known but you chose not to

apparently Millennials are tough to manage and they're accused of being

entitled and are so cystic self-interested unfocused

but entitled is the big one and because they confound leadership so much leaders

are asking the Millennials what do you want and Millennials are saying we want

to work in a place with purpose love that we want to make an impact you know

whatever that means and yet for some reason they're still

not happy and that's because there's a missing piece I can break it down into

four pieces four characteristics one is parenting

the other one is technology third is impatience and the fourth is

environment the generation that we call the Millennials too many of them grew up

subject to failed parenting strategies where for example they were told that

they were special all the time they were told that they kept it anything they

wanted life just cuz they want it okay so once you get your goal structure set

up you think okay if I could have this life looks like that might be worth

living despite the fact that it's gonna be you know anxiety provoking and

threatening and there's gonna be some suffering and loss involved in all of

that obviously the goal is to have a vision for your life such that all

things considered that justifies your effort at some point we all bought into

this lie that you got a feel ready in order to change we bought into this this

complete falsehood that at some point you're gonna have the courage at some

point you're gonna have the confidence and it's it's complete garbage and so

there are so many people in the world and and and you know you may be watching

this right now and you have these incredible ideas and what you think is

missing is motivation and that's not true because the way that our minds are

wired we are not designed to do things that

are uncomfortable or scary or difficult our brains are designed to protect us

from those things because our brains are trying to keep us alive we all do it we

do it subconsciously we're wired that way

we're actually looking for threats our ancestors many years ago weren't just

looking for the saber-toothed Tigers they were worried about who they

encountered and whether they would be friend or foe Joseph LeDoux from New

York University says if there's no evidence that our brains are hard-wired

for fear what he does say is that we have the circuitry that allows us detect

and respond in pre-program ways it's modifying the benefit of that is when

you get a bad email you don't have the same reaction as if you saw a

saber-toothed tiger and in order to change in order to build a business in

order to be the best parent of a spouse to do all those things that you know you

want to do with your life with your work with your dreams you're gonna have to do

things that are difficult uncertain or scary which sets up this problem

for all of us you're never gonna feel like it motivations garbage you you only

feel motivated to do the things that are easy why is it so hard to do the little

things that would improve my life what I've come to realize is that the way

that our minds are designed as our minds are designed to stop you at all costs

from doing anything that might hurt you and the way that this all happens is it

all starts with something super subtle that none of us ever catch and that is

with this habit that all of us have that nobody's talking about we all have a

habit of hesitating hmm we have an idea you're sitting in a meeting you have

this incredible idea instead of just you know saying it you stop and you hesitate

and what none of us realize is that when you hesitate just that moment that micro

moment that small hesitation it sends a stress signal to your brain it wakes

your brain up and your brain all of a sudden goes oh wait a minute wait why is

he hesitating he didn't hesitate when he put on his killer spiky sneakers he

didn't hesitate with the really cool track pants he didn't hesitate with the

NASA t-shirt now he's hesitating to talk something must be up so then your brain

goes to work to protect you then what do you do and you turn down to the micro

routines it's like okay well this is what I'm aiming for how does that

instantiate itself day to day week to week month to month and that's where

something like a schedule can be unbelievably useful Google Calendar it's

like make a damn schedule and stick to it

that's the first thing that people do wrong is say well I don't like to have

follow a schedule looks like well what kind of schedule are you setting up well

I should I have to do this then I have to do this then I have to do this you

know and then I just go play video games because who wants to do all these things

that I have to do it's like wrong set the damn schedule up

so that you have the day you want that's the trick it's like okay I've got

tomorrow if I was gonna set it up so it was the best possible day I could have

practically speaking what would it look like well then you schedule that and

obviously there's a bit of responsibility that's gonna go along

with that because if you have any sense one of the things that you're going to

insist upon is that at the end of the des you're not in worse shape than at

the beginning of the day right that's a stupid day I was shocked when I met a

one-legged taxi driver in Kenya and I was shocked when I met a disabled

subsistence farmer in Mozambique what shocked me wasn't their poverty but

their happiness I found their happiness confronting far more confronting than

poverty of course what everyone was happy but if those above a basic

subsistence threshold level I was surprised at how genuinely content many

of them were and since then I've researched it I've worked on it I've

thought about it I'm interested in it from an economics perspective it's one

of the things that I research at Oxford because happiness is after all the

ultimate social outcome and I think it's particularly appropriate that we talk

about happiness today because we have with us the prime minister of Bhutan the

very man who introduced a new champion the idea of gross domestic happiness

rather than GDP as a way of tracking country's progress we're wealthier than

ever but unhappier than ever we're more prosperous the more depressed we're less

satisfied I mean we have faster and faster transport what we're faster and

faster to complain about it in many countries there are now more suicides

than homicides I will now have more goods and services than ever before we

have technology improving exponentially but we don't see a corresponding

increase in our life satisfaction in our happiness and perhaps one of the great

paradoxes of our time the thing the obvious question is why is it that

governments and individuals are such bad predictors of happiness why is that we

get it wrong so often and I think it's because we don't really understand why

it is that we're often unhappy I think there's one explanation that I find far

more compelling far more plausible far more persuasive than any other and that

explanation isn't we have so much choice that we get stressed it's not that were

economically worse off in many cases we're economically better off it's not

that we just have greater reporting of depression and suicide that's true but

it only explains a small portion of the data that's not due to family breakdowns

or reduce freedom no the reason why we unhappy the most compelling reason as

shown by the data as shown by research relates to expectations at a very basic

simple level we are unhappy when our expectations of reality exceed our

experiences of reality it's a very simple concept but it's a hugely

important concept to fully understand to fully get our head around and to help us

get our head around it I like to think in terms of three different types of

expectation gaps three different types of gaps based on the different ways in

which we form expectations you see when we choose to buy goods we choose from a

range of options how do we make that decision what we do is that we choose

the one that we think will be the best now the problem here is that the very

act of choosing the thing that we think will give us the greatest happiness is

the thing that actually undermines our happiness because what it means is that

we when we then see reality when we ven experience that it's highly likely that

that reality won't live up to our expectation and that leads to

disappointment you have to negotiate with yourself and

not tyrannize yourself like you're negotiating with someone that you care

for that you would like to be productive and have a good life and and that's how

you make the schedule it's like and then you look at the day and you think well

if I had that day that would be good great you know and you you're useless

and horrible so you'll probably only hit it with about seventy percent accuracy

but that beats the hell out of zero right and if you hit it even with fifty

percent accuracy another rule is well aim for 51 percent

the next week or 50 and a half percent for God's sake or because you're gonna

hit that position where things start to loop back positively and spiral you

upward so that's one way that you can work on your conscientiousness it's a

plan of life you'd like to have you have to understand that you're not your own

servant so to speak you're someone that you have to negotiate with and you're

someone that you want to present the opportunity of having a good life to do

you know if you take people and I've told you this and you expose them

voluntarily to things that they are avoiding and are afraid of you know that

they know they need to overcome in order to me

their goals their self-defined goals if you can teach people to stand up in the

face of the things they're afraid of they get stronger and you don't know

what the upper limits to that are because you might ask yourself like if

for ten years if you didn't avoid doing what you knew you needed to do by your

own definitions right within the value structure that you've created to the

degree that you've done that what would you be like well you know there are

remarkable people who come into the world from time to time and there are

people who do find out over decades long periods what they could be like if they

were who they were if they said if they spoke their being forward and they'd be

get stronger and stronger and stronger and we don't know the limits to that we

do not know the limits to that and so you could say well in part perhaps the

reason that you're suffering unbearably can be left at your feet because you're

not everything you could be and you know it and of course that's a terrible thing

to admit and it's a terrible thing to consider but there's real promise in it

right because it means that perhaps there's another way that you could look

at the world in the number another way that you could act in the world so what

it would reflect back to you would be much better than what it reflects back

to you now imagine that many people did that because we've done a lot as human

beings we've done a lot of remarkable things today for example about 250,000

people will be lifted out of abject poverty and about 300,000 people

attached to the electrical power grid we're lifting people out of poverty

collectively at a faster rate that's ever occurred in the history of

humankind by a huge margin and that's been going on unbelievably quickly since

the year 2000 so there's inequality developing in many places and you hear

it lots of political agitation about that but overall the tide is lifting

everyone up and that's a great thing we have no idea how fast we could multiply

that if people got their act together and really aimed at it what would happen

if you just stopped wasting the opportunities that are in front of you

you be who knows how much more efficient ten times more efficient twenty times

more efficient that's the Pareto distribution you have no idea how

efficient efficient people get it's off the charts

well and if we all got our act together collectively and stop making things

worse because that's another thing people do all the time

not only do they not do what they should to make things better they actively

attempt to make things worse because they're spiteful or resentful or all of

those things all bundled together in an absolutely pathological package if

people start really really trying just to make things worse we have no idea how

much better they would get just because of that you see it isn't merely that

your fate depends on whether or not you get your act together and to what degree

you decide that you're going to live out your own genuine being it isn't only

your fate it's the fate of everyone that you're networked with and so you know

you think well there's seven billion people in the world and who are you

you're just one little dust mote among that seven billion and so it really

doesn't matter what you do or don't do but that's simply not the case it's the

wrong model because you're at the center of a network you're a node in a network

you'll know a thousand people at least over the course of your life and they'll

know a thousand people each and that puts you one person away from a million

and two persons away from a billion and the things you do they're like dropping

a stone in a pond the ripples move outward and they affect things in ways

that you can't fully comprehend and it means that the things that you do and

that you don't do are far more important than you think

of course the terror of realizing that is that it actually starts to matter

what you do and you might say well that's better than living a meaningless

existence I can live with no responsibility whatsoever the price I

pay is that nothing matters or I can reverse it and everything matters but I

have to take the responsibility that's associated with that it's not so obvious

to me that people would take the meaningful path if you live a

pathological life you pathologize your society and if enough people do that

then it's hell really and you can read the Gulag Archipelago if you have the

fort it fortitude to do that and you'll see exactly what hell is like and then

you can decide if that's a place you'd like to visit and take all your family

and friends because that's what happened in the twentieth century

Firefighter | How I got my job & where I'm going | Part 2 | Khan Academy - Duration: 6:29.

I'm Ky-ree Toadvine, I'm 25 years old,

and I'm a firefighter.

I graduated high school in 2009,

from Crenshaw High School,

and I was initially going to Cal Poly Pomona

for mechanical engineering.

I was pursuing that for a while,

thinking I wanted to do something mechanical.

It didn't really necessarily work out,

because I could tell by the way

that my performance was

that I wasn't very passionate about it.

So I decided to dial things back a little bit

and go take different classes at a community college.

And at that time when I was looking up classes,

I actually had a personal emergency happen,

not to me, but someone dear to me,

that required the response of firefighters

and transport to a hospital.

That's when I realized that,

what type of job they have.

They have something that was dynamic,

something that was always changing,

and it just required you to be able to

have a working knowledge and skill set

that isn't, that doesn't require you

to just sit at a desk,

but also requires you to be able to

continuously think in many different ways,

and adapt as the times come.

And that's when I knew that

that was something that I wanted to do.

That was along the lines

of what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.

So the steps needed to become a firefighter would be

to first have your high school diploma or an equivalent,

to have your EMT certification

and be at least 18 years old.

Once you meet those requirements,

then you can apply to many different departments;

larger departments mostly.

If you would like to open up that,

if you would like a wider array of departments

to be able to apply to, for example to smaller departments,

then you would need something like a fire academy,

some smaller departments would like for you

to be a paramedic as well.

So I enrolled in community college,

took my Emergency Medical Technician class,

and it teaches you the basics

for basic life-saving skills basically.

You can, it certifies you to do basic things

like take blood pressures, and respond to emergencies,

and gets you ready mentally, especially,

to be able to to respond to these incidents

and know the tools that you have

on board of the ambulance,

so that you can use, you can utilize them effectively

to actually respond to these emergencies.

After I finished my Emergency Medical Technician class,

I wanna find a job that does emergency transports

with another fire department

within the city of Los Angeles.

I continued to work there for two years,

and at that point,

I gained experience

and responded to many different emergencies,

whether it be a gun shot wound victim,

a stabbing victim, or just someone

who needs to be transported from a hospital

to another hospital.

Those are called inter-facility transports

versus an emergency medical transport.

That gave me loads of experience

doing the inter-facility transports

and the emergency transports.

The emergency transports gave me the,

I would say, poise and knowledge

to be able to use the tools and knowledge that I have

that I gained from my Emergency Medical Technician class

to respond to different emergencies,

and an inter-facility transport

gave me loads of experience with just dealing with people,

just being able to make sure

that I'm a people person,

and that really lets you know

if you're cut out for this job.

The Fire Academy was pretty rigorous.

We had, every day that we went in,

we worked 10 hour days for four days, sometimes five,

where we come in for an extra day for a few hours

to get more practice on whatever tools

that we needed to get more practice on.

During those days we will start each day

with physical fitness.

So we would go into the gym that we had,

and we would do whatever training regimen

the cadre had for us.

We would do that for an hour, hour and a half,

two hours tops,

and then we would get that part of the day done,

we'd set up for the rest of the day as well,

and then get into whatever training

that we may have had.

For example, firefighter survival,

which is making sure that we keep our cool

and that we're able to get ourselves

out of entanglements or collapse,

or know what to do when we can't get ourselves out

to put out that Mayday call.

Every fire department has a test,

and an interview that you must pass

in order to become an entry level firefighter

with that department.

So different fire departments have different tests,

and they're geared towards different things as well.

Some tests may have basic math and English on it,

and some may go a little more in depth to other things

that the department may want to

gear their hiring towards,

or to gear the type of people

that they want to hire towards.

So once you graduate the academy,

then you start your probationary year,

and at that point, you start to learn the different tools

and the different tools and tactics

that you need for fire suppression efforts.

You also have to continue to train

on the things that you learned in academy,

for example, throwing ladders,

and what we call phase testing,

which is actually taking some of the things you've learned

while during the academy,

and actually doing them.

The growth opportunities are vast.

You can go into pretty much anything.

If someone wanted to be an emergency dispatcher

and see what that was like,

they can go into the dispatch arena

and become a dispatcher for a while.

If you wanted to be a fire inspector,

you could be an inspector.

If you wanna be a paramedic, you could be a paramedic.

If one day you wanna become a captain,

then of course that takes a larger skill set

than maybe the rest of the professions,

but then you'll have to continue to make sure

that you're as studious as possible

to pass that captain's test,

and also pass that captain's interview to become a captain.

And then there are two ranks of captain as well.

If you wanted to go even higher than that,

to become a chief,

then you can do that as well later on in your career.

So the life of a firefighter

is pretty much a long learning process.

As long as you're career,

you will be learning something new almost every day.

My advice to people just starting out

trying to become firefighters

is to go as hard as you possible can,

get as much under your belt as you possible can.

Myself personally, I did everything I could

to make myself stand out,

and I also did everything I could

to make sure that that interview went well.

For example, when I was a CPR instructor,

I did that so that I can hone

or perfect my speaking skills for the interview.

And I believe that helped me tremendously.

You have to recognize your own weaknesses,

and you have to fix it or capitalize off of it.

Fold the both ends of zip tape, and sew.

Pattern is here.

Place the fusible tape on the right side of zipper tape.

Iron the fusible tape 2~3 seconds. (Dry, Medium heat:140~160℃)

Allow to cool briefly, and make a cut in zipper tape.

Remove the release paper.

Lay the fabric and zipper with right side together, and iron. (Dry, High heat:180~200℃)

Sew.

Sew the outer and inner with right side together. (It is better to baste.) Then make a cut in zipper tape.

Sew the other side of zipper, do the same way. (Be careful about sewing)

Sew the outer fabrics with right side together. (Don't sew 1cm from the edges.)

Inner fabrics, do the same way. (Leaving 6cm open for turning.)

Cut off extra seams, and press seam allowances open.

Turn inside out. Then sew the hem. It's done.

because it can cause you to age faster or slower in this article I will explain

some important fundamental aspects of how time works and how it relates to

your health I will also explain why within the past few decades time seems

thing about time is that it is not always constant like how we are

observer and of others at relative rest the quote above is basically saying that

a moving object in an object at rest will experience time at a different

Einstein's big idea theory of relativity Einstein did a good job explaining how

time and space were related but he missed many important aspect of how they

worked modern physicists have been filling some of the holes that Einstein

had missed but they still have not grasped what time really is what most

modern physicists failed to notice is that time is not linear but simultaneous

and it does not move the idea of time being linear is an idea that is

preventing modern physicists from discovering many secrets about the

universe fortunately there are some physicists who are starting to realize

that time works in a simultaneous fashion what is linear time when you

experience linear time you are experiencing a multi-dimensional and

holographic illusion created by the refraction of particles and

antiparticles which pulsate and spin at different speeds and angular rotations

pulsation is an important feature of time because the way particles pulsate

at various rhythms is what gives us the illusion of time below is an excerpt

So, first of all download the Low Specs Experience from my website and then install it.

Start it from your Desktop shortcut and then go to the optimization catalog tab and select

GRID 2 from this drop-down menu.

Press load the optimization and then extract this package to the folder where your game

has been installed.

Go to that folder and start the ragnotech control panel and this window will pop-up.

Now select the method of optimization and resolution you would like to run your game

on.

After you did that simply press optimize and start your game.

How to Juggle "The Weave" - Beginner Juggling Tutorial - Duration: 6:47.

and today I want to teach you a juggling trick called "The Weave."

It looks like this.

All right, let's try that again.

Hey, everyone. My name is Taylor Glenn

and today I want to teach you a juggling trick called "The Weave".

It looks like this.

Now before we get started

I just wanted to say that if you find this tutorial helpful

make sure that you subscribe because I am going to be coming out

with a lot more tutorials in the future.

So you'll want to be updated on those.

Also I know some people just want to see a trick in slow motion

so that they can figure it out on their own.

And they don't want the step-by-step help of a tutorial.

So if that's more your speed

I've made a video of just this trick in slow motion.

There's a link in the description on that.

But if you're like me and you like the breakdown and the step-by-step, and the troubleshooting,

this tutorial is for you. So let's get started.

So the weave is not that hard of a trick

but you should probably have a good handle on these ones already...

The three ball cascade. Duh.

The 423 pattern.

And being comfortable enough with that that you can do

columns, or you know just generally be a weirdo.

Also keep in mind the weave does look a lot like Burke's Barrage but it's not the same trick.

So just make sure you're following each step

and getting each throw exactly how it's supposed to be thrown

before you move on to the next one.

But if you are stuck

and it is turning into Burke's Burrage and you can't figure it out

I am gonna have a part at the end where I talk about that and how to get out of that habit.

You can check that out.

Alright, let's look at the trick.

Underneath it all the weave is just a 423

with the 2s going up and around the 4s.

Nothing fancy, just 423 with weird 2s.

But I know that's easier said than done, so let's break it down.

Let's start with two balls.

With one ball throw it straight up

and as you do bring the other ball over the top and back underneath it.

You'll notice when the "4" or the green ball here is at its peak

the "2" or the red ball is already on its way back.

Don't forget to practice this on both sides.

Alright, let's add a third ball.

Start by doing the same two ball move you just did

but this time when the ball you threw comes down

throw the next ball from the same hand.

It should go on the inside of the ball coming down

and land in the other hand.

This is the "3" in the 423.

I'm not catching it in the other hand here.

I don't know why.

Um, I was being weird, but

you should get used to that feeling of the ball crossing.

So do that.

2. Good job.

When you feel good about that do the same thing,

but this time when that crossing ball is coming down

throw the next ball straight up on the inside.

This one doesn't change hands since it's a "4".

It's basically the same as that very first throw except on the other side.

You can see that the ball in my hand is already wanting to go around.

So complete the step by dragging that ball up and around the ball in the air.

Again, this is just like that very first step we did.

Finally when that last throw is coming down

throw the crossing ball back to the other hand.

Again, make sure it's on the inside.

From here it's just repeating it.

1, 2, 3, 4. You get the idea.

If you're still having trouble start back at step one

and take each step carefully.

And if you're still having trouble then

stay tuned till the end and I'll cover some troubleshooting.

But if you're feeling good about it let's focus on making it look pretty.

All right, so you've got to move down

but it's still looking kind of crappy.

What the heck?

My first tip is to turn the ball outward so we can see the ball.

If your hand is facing you it's covering the ball,

and that just doesn't look as good.

So turn it out and let us see it.

It's subtle but it helps.

The other thing you might be doing is dragging your "2"s around the "4"s really aggressively.

That's okay, but they should really be smooth and flowy.

They trace a figure eight like pattern and your wrist should be loose.

Practice that.

And if you want you can dance while you do it,

but maybe not in public.

It's not working! Arrrrrghhh

Okay, the first thing that might be happening

is you're hitting that ball coming up with your "2".

This is a common problem

and basically it just means that you're not moving that ball out fast enough.

Just pull it out before you throw the next ball.

That's really all it is.

One of the biggest issues I see is it somehow turns into Burke's Barrage,

and you just can't figure out why.

Part of that is muscle memory, and you really just need to break down each step more carefully.

But let's look at the differences.

Here you'll see Burke's Barrage and The Weave side by side.

They look pretty similar.

But the difference is with this "2" right...

Here.

With Burke's Barrage you'll push the ball inside the pattern

whereas with The Weave, you pull it on the outside.

Same thing on the side.

So if you keep going into Burke's Barrage

just remember to take that "2" and pull it on the outside

rather than pushing it through the middle.

Maybe you're still having trouble with it so let's look at the other big difference.

As I said earlier "The Weave" is just a basic 423 pattern.

Whereas in Burke's Barrage that "3" is thrown on the outside.

This is why Burke's Barrage feels a lot like Mills Mess

and The Weave does not.

Here they are side by side.

Watch the blue ball.

In Burke's Barrage that ball is going to be thrown on the outside of the ball coming down

whereas with The Weave it's going to be thrown on the inside.

So if you're still having trouble with your Weave turning into Burke's Barrage

Focus on THAT throw

and making sure that it goes on the inside of the pattern rather than being thrown from the outside.

Correcting this throw in addition to bringing that "2" on the outside

should fix the problem.

But if it doesn't just start from step one and take each step more carefully.
