Welcome to mikegolden Games and welcome to kinda just a freeform video I figured

I had to wash these two cars because they've been sitting for a while

basically this is my Grand Cherokee and you guys probably saw some videos on it

it's been sitting probably just about since I got my Wrangler so it's been

under the trees over there and as you can see it just got so much is like soot

and dirt just from sitting under the trees you can see how dirty it is so I'm

gonna be cleaning her up and I will see what I do with it I don't know if I'm

gonna you know do anything with her right now but basically just for this

video I'm cleaning her off and look at this just all the dirt and leaves and

just residue from the tree really nasty this was filled with bugs a few minutes

ago and now here's my old Mustang I have not driven this beauty in so long

basically when I got her she was sitting in somebody's front yard for I think the

guy said like 7 years just just sitting there and we were able to start it up

get it running we fixed her up so we found out she had a super minor head

gasket problem basically like a pin hole sized you know crack in the head gasket

and over time she just got worse and worse and then we just had stopped

driving her we did the head gasket on her a few years ago but then we just ran

out of time and you know my dad was in that car accident so we just didn't have

time to do any more work on her basically the engines put back together

for the most part there's a few hoses and whatnot that need to be done let's

open her up here as you can see for the most part the engine is put back

together like I said we did do the head gaskets but there's some hoses that

we're not sure where they go and some cracked lines and stuff so basically

we're gonna be taking it to a shop later tonight and they're gonna work on it

over the weekend and they're just basically gonna see what else it needs

and if it's even gonna be worth it fix it but I think that all that needs is a

few missing hoses and it should be good to go all right so let's get on to it

let's start washing these cars off and hopefully you guys enjoy the video

oh man you know that smells pretty bad actually it's just like dead trees and

stuff but it smells pretty bad

yeah this isn't that a power washer I actually did buy a power washer last

summer but nozzle on it got stuck a few weeks ago and broke so I'm gonna have to

go buy a new one kind of sucks thanks for burr free yeah let's just get

that soap all over her oh yeah you know I do have some car wash soap but like I

said my car wash isn't not working so you know why not just use a little don't

just sup you know hashtag Dawn dish soap hashtag sponsor just get that all over

perfect this is the best way you can clean your car you're done just soap is

you know it's the best thing you can get okay let's see how this dawn just so

cool yeah get that soap all in there nice perfect let's get up here oh yeah

get that Dawn dish soap everywhere let it soak in beautiful

and these tires are pretty nasty-looking the wheels are really bad too just

goodwill I miss down there we got it on combs setting right now look at that

rainbow you can see that Oh beautiful beautiful maybe we'll do that as the

thumbnail okay sadly I was not recording but I was trying to clean this tire out

yeah just going over the whole Jeep you don't need to see the entire thing cuz

it's gonna take like an hour to get it all done but I was spraying like this

sprayed in here and something flew out here like okay there's a big clump of

something and then it ran off that way it was a little tiny mouse just got the

Mustang up onto the tow dolly and we're just gonna move it into the front yard

so we can wash it off alright let's get her sweat oh yeah

she's been sitting for so long you can just see all the dirt just caked on her

she's so dirty the dirty girls the dirty girl

this hood looks so good when I had a running just got this black matte stripe

on a black hood like it looks so good now the foot is faded well you know that

black stripe is actually so pretty good it's got so much dirt on but we just got

to get all this crap taken off like I said we're gonna be getting this thing

towed over to a shop they're gonna look at it and see what it's actually gonna

take to get our back running but I mean the engine starts you can see we got our

on the tow dolly but it's these hoses and the belts not hooked up do the

pulleys need to be fixed as well I'm probably going to go to the other side

in a moment so not spring traffic I mean look at those wheels though they

look freakin beautiful we painted them a few years ago four years ago probably

and looks like the paint is coming off now that kind of sucks but it was candy

apple red maybe I'll just if I do get her running

again just do some Plasti Dip don't make it easy

oh yeah it was candy apple and now it's so dirty and it's just flaking off now

so old just been sitting there for so long the paint job I did there probably

is all gonna flake off I mainly just half-assed it and that's quickly sanded

it down light sanding and then sprayed the whole thing I mean it came out

really good as you can see I did the entire car in candy apple which it was

red underneath that's actually right here you can see it's a red base coat

but then we got the candy apple on top so it's just like a metallic really nice

looking ride

and at nighttime under the lights like of a parking lot oh man such a

good-looking color it's basically like a cheery like a it was basically like a

dark cheery color looks so good and then when you're doing your mirrors you know

make sure you get all that crap out just work behind the mirror make sure there's

nothing living back there that should be good like I said this car is really

dirty I'm gonna need to get the other side of the car oh man look at that and

these Mustangs I think they look way better with a spoiler than without

let me know in the comments what you guys think but let's get this thing

cleaned off and I'm gonna have to go to the other side and now let's add a

little dawn to this as you can see it just spreads out all over the place

really gets in there and cleans the dirt honestly I was kind of joking at first

about using the dawn but it actually does do a good job

all right now that we got a scrubbed in there we're gonna let it sit for a

little bit and then we're gonna go do the rest of the car with the dawn just

let it soak I got the car fully washed down at least as best as I could for now

as you can see you know I got it all hooked up and it's all cleaned off for

the most part we're gonna go take a look at the Grand Cherokee in a moment you

can see the hood is drying it's more of like a matte gray color but actually

this stripe I don't remember what spray paint I used but it's actually really

good and the black just lasted for a long time you know I barely faded at all

and yeah I guess I like how I did the offset black on the red like that but

here's the car it's all washed off now hope you guys did enjoy this video and

was really just an off hand video then like you know what I've got to wash the

car mine as well just film it see what you guys think maybe you guys will enjoy

it I hope we can get this car back up and running I got that Cobra but that's

another story and really long one at that but anyways here's this car she's

all good and now the Grand Cherokee on the other hand a lot better than before

but as you can see it's gonna need a good scrubbing maybe go through the

actual car wash where they have the brushes and everything but a lot better

THIS WEEK A FEDERAL JUDGE RULED THAT ALBUQUERQUE PROGRAM

THAT SEIZES VEHICLES AFTER SOMEONE IS ARRESTED FOR THEIR

SECOND OR SUBSEQUENT DUI OFFENSE IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

NEW MEXICO MADE CHANGES TO THE STATE LAW IN 2015 WHICH

INCLUDED A BAN ON CIVIL FORFEITURE OR BETTER KNOWN AS

THE SEIZURE OF PROPERTY WITHOUT A CONVICTION, BUT

WHETHER THAT BAN PREEMPTS ALL LOCAL CIVIL FORFEITURE

ORDINANCES IS UP FOR DEBATE.

ALBUQUERQUE IS ONE OF FEW NEW MEXICO CITIES THAT STILL HAS A

VEHICLE SEIZURE PROGRAM.

FORCING VEHICLE OWNERS TO PROVE THEIR INNOCENCE IF THEIR

CAR WAS SEIZED AFTER BEING DRIVEN BY SOMEONE ELSE.

THIS WEEK'S RULING WILL CHANGE THINGS CERTAINLY.

LINE OPINION PANELISTS ARE READY TO TALK ABOUT THIS CASE

AND WHAT IT MIGHT MEAN ACROSS THE STATE.

AND SOMEHOW SHE HAD TO PAY FOUR GRAND TO GET THIS CAR

BACK, HAVE IT BOOTED FOR 18 MONTHS.

FINALLY A JUDGE SAID, NO, THIS IS NOT QUITE RIGHT.

LET'S TAKE THIS BASICS HERE.

WHY WAS THIS ALLOWED TO GO ON SO LONG IN YOUR OPINION?

A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE HAD THEIR CARS SEIZED HERE.

THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR A LONG TIME IN ALBUQUERQUE.

>> WELL, IT HAS BEEN BUT LIKE A LOT OF PROBLEMATIC OR

UNCONSTITUTIONAL POLICIES OR LAWS, IT TAKES A LONG TIME FOR

THE COURT SYSTEM TO REALLY RESOLVE A SITUATION LIKE THIS.

FIRST SOMEBODY HAD TO HAVE THE MEANS TO CHALLENGE THIS IN

COURT, WHICH IS DIFFICULT ENOUGH, FIND ATTORNEYS WHO ARE

ABLE TO TAKE THE CASE.

AND IT WAS A FEDERAL JUDGE, FEDERAL COURT CASE, SO IT IS

EXPENSIVE TO BRING SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

WHAT IS UNFORTUNATE PEOPLE PROBABLY WHO HAD VEHICLES

SEIZED WHO DIDN'T HAVE THE MEANS TO CHALLENGE IT, WERE

SIMPLY OUT OF LUCK.

AND THIS IS A VERY PROBLEMATIC SITUATION.

I KNOW THERE IS CRITICISM ABOUT IT FOR A LONG TIME.

ACLU CRITICIZED IT WHEN FIRST ENACTED AS AN ORDINANCE AND

BASICALLY THE CONSTITUTION IS CLEAR ABOUT MAKING SURE THAT

YOU CAN'T HAVE YOUR PROPERTY SEIZED WITHOUT DUE PROCESS.

SO THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED IN THIS SITUATION AND

SO IT SOUNDS LIKE CONSTITUTIONALLY, 105 PAGE

OPINION THAT JUDGE BROWNING WROTE IS VERY IMPORTANT AND I

THINK THEY DEFINITELY NEED TO MAKE CHANGES.

>> DAN, TALKING ABOUT PROVING YOUR INNOCENT AFTER THE FACT.

I CAN'T THINK OF ANY OTHER CUT OF LIFE WHERE YOU HAVE TO DO

IT AFTER THE FACT.

WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THIS?

KELLER ADMINISTRATION SAYS WE HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT IT, BASIC

IN AGREEMENT WITH THE SITUATION.

WHAT IS UPSHOT HERE FOR PEOPLE?

>> UPSHOT IS, NOT TO MENTION THAT THIS TYPE OF PROCESS HAS

BEEN FUNDING POLICE DEPARTMENTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY

FOR YEARS.

THERE IS NO LACK OF EVIDENCE THAT THEY SET UP OUTSIDE

PLACES WHERE THEY KNOW THEY CAN GET BETTER TYPE CARS OR

GET PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE THE MEANS TO FIGHT IT.

WHEN YOU HEAR THE JUDGE SAY THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH HAVING

A PROGRAM THAT THE INDIVIDUALS WHO RUN THE PROGRAM ARE FUNDED

BY THE SALE OF THE STUFF THAT IS FORFEITED, IS JUST

DIAMETRICALLY OPPOSED TO WHAT THE COUNTRY STANDS FOR.

AND THE SHEER FACT THAT ONE OF THE FEW INSTANCES THAT YOU ARE

GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT AND YOU'RE NEVER REALLY

INNOCENT BECAUSE IT COST YOU EVEN IF YOU'RE INNOCENT TO GET

SOMETHING DONE.

YOU CAN GO THROUGH THIS PROCESS, NOT HAVE ANY FAULT,

NOT BE GUILTY OF ANYTHING BUT DOESN'T MATTER UNLESS YOU

WRITE A CHECK FOR THOUSANDS YOU'RE STILL OUT YOUR

PROPERTY.

CIVIL FORFEITURE HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR 20 PLUS YEARS.

POLICE DEPARTMENTS LOVE IT.

IT IS UNBELIEVE -- FEDS LOVE IT.

ALL LEVEL OF LAW ENFORCEMENT THINGS THIS IS PHENOMENAL AND

ANY TIME YOU OPPOSE IT, YOU'RE OPPOSING THE POLICE.

AND JUDGE BROWNING GOT IT RIGHT AND SAID, YOU KNOW, THIS

IS NOT THE WAY THIS COUNTRY RUNS.

YOU GUYS DON'T GET TO GO OUT AND DECIDE YOU'RE NOT THE

JUDGE, JURY AND EXECUTIONER AND THAT IS THE WAY THE LAW

WORKS.

>> AT THE CURB SIDE.

>> IT'S GOOD SOMEONE FOUGHT IT.

I AM GLAD JUDGE BROWNING RENDERED THE DECISION THAT I

THINK IS -- THE OTHER THING WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE DECISION,

I THINK HE RENDERED A THOUGHTFUL DECISION, ONE THAT

ACTUALLY LAYED THE FRAMEWORK FOR FIXING IT, NOT JUST, HEY,

IT IS A BAD DECISION AND FIGURE IT OUT.

HE SAYS THIS IS WHY IT IS BAD AND THESE ARE THINGS NOT GOOD

ABOUT THIS.

HE LAID FRAMEWORK FOR IT TO BE EASILY FIXED.

>> WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT WORKING

CLASS PEOPLE, POOR PEOPLE, HAVING THEIR NO. 1 ASSET

SEIZED.

THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM FOR FAMILIES.

YOU CAN'T TAKE SOMEONE'S VEHICLE AND DEMAND TO HAVE A

BOOT ON IT FOR 18 MONTHS AND NOT EXPECT UPSET INSIDE THAT

FAMILY'S FINANCES AND EVERYTHING ELSE.

>> THIS IS A BASIC THING.

HERE IN ALBUQUERQUE YOU NEED A CAR TO MOVE ANYWHERE, WORK,

TAKE KIDS TO SCHOOL, ANYWHERE, JUST TO LIVE, YOU NEED A CAR.

IF WE WERE A BIGGER TRANSPORTATION HUB LOCATION

LIKE SAN FRANCISCO, NEW YORK, YOU COULD USE THE BUSES, THE

TRANSIT, YOU CAN DO THAT.

WE CAN'T HERE.

WHEN YOU TAKE A CAR AWAY YOU'RE TAKING AWAY THEIR

ENTIRE LIFE UNTIL THEY GET ANOTHER CAR.

BUT PEOPLE IN LOWER INCOME HOUSEHOLD THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO

DO THAT.

THEY HAVE TO RELY ON THE BUS TRANSPORTATION WHICH HAS BEEN

PROVEN HASN'T BEEN AS RELIABLE AS OTHER BIGGER LOCATIONS HAVE

BEEN.

SO, I FEEL LIKE WHEN ALBUQUERQUE PD HAS BEEN TAKING

AWAY THE CARS AND EVEN OTHER LOCATIONS HAVE BEEN

UNCONSTITUTIONAL AND PROVEN IT IS SHOWING DETRIMENT EFFECTS

AGAINST THE FAMILY.

WHY IS IT THAT SOMEONE WHO IS INNOCENT THAT HASN'T BEEN

ALLEGEDLY COMMITTED ANY OF THESE CRIMES BEING HELD

RESPONSIBLE WHEN THAT OTHER PERSON WHO THEY LENT THE CAR

TO IS GETTING OFF SCOTT FREE?

>> ISN'T THAT INTERESTING.

WHY AREN'T THEY PAYING THE FOUR GRAND.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE WHEEL.

>> WHEN I READ SOME OF THE COMMENTS ON FACEBOOK AND OTHER

PLACES, THE STORIES HAVE BLOWN UP THIS WEEK, CERTAINLY, IT'S

INTERESTING THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE LIKE, YOU KNOW WHAT,

YOU SHOULD KNOW WHO IS DRIVING YOUR CAR.

TOUGH LUCK FOR YOU.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

AND I JUST CAN'T HELP BUT THINK, MAYBE THE PEOPLE THAT

CAME UP WITH THE ORDINANCE WAS SORT OF OUT OF THAT SAME

THOUGHT PROCESS.

THEY NEVER REALLY THOUGHT ABOUT IT.

EASY TO SAY WHAT SOMEBODY SHOULD OR SHOULDN'T BE DOING

BUT LIFE IS COMPLICATED.

YOU NEVER KNOW.

ONE OF THE THINGS I FIND INTERESTING ABOUT THIS CASE,

THERE ARE SOME QUESTIONS THERE OF LIKE WHAT IS INDIVIDUAL

RESPONSIBILITY VERSUS GROUP RESPONSIBILITY.

BUT WE DIDN'T GET TO THOSE QUESTIONS, BECAUSE THE JUDGE

WAS UNEQUIVOCAL.

IT IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL, GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT DOESN'T

WORK.

AS WE DISCUSSED, THE HARM THAT WAS DONE TO THE FOLKS WHO HAD

VEHICLES SEIZED, AFFECTS THE ABILITY TO MAKE INCOME, GET TO

THE DOCTOR, JUST THE BASIC THINGS OF LIFE.

>> CAN YOU IMAGINE BEING TOLD YOU NEED FOUR GRAND AND 18

MONTHS OF A BOOT TO GET YOUR CAR BACK FOR SOMETHING THAT

YOU HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF, THAT THE INFRACTION HAPPENED ALMOST

HUNDREDS OF MILES AWAY.

INSANE.

>> DAN MENTIONED THE FUNDING GOING TOWARDS PAYING THE

PEOPLE ADMINISTERING THE PROGRAM.

SHOULD IT HAVE GONE TO THE GENERAL FUND INSTEAD?

WHERE SHOULD THIS MONEY HAVE GONE?

BUT TO DAN'S POINT, HOW WOULD THOSE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN PAID

OTHERWISE TO ADMINISTER THE PROGRAM?

IT IS AN INTERESTING DILEMMA HERE, FINANCIALLY.

>> I MEAN, IT ABSOLUTELY SHOULD HAVE GONE TO THE

GENERAL FUND.

THERE IS SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES BETWEEN A BUSINESS

AND BEING ABLE TO TAKE IN MONEY AND USE THAT TO PAY FOR

WHATEVER YOUR OPERATIONS ARE.
